Such type of so-called entertainment has no place in the secular life of the
Christian, let alone religious celebration activities. All who imbibe this
craft will receive the judgment of God: Here in Alberta, Canada, at
the local SDA grade school on the campus of Canadian University College,
there was a magician act a few years ago. The local associate pastor, Brian
Levitt, told the children about the incident in the Bible where Christ
disappeared from the crowd that was going to throw Him over a cliff. He said
Christ performed an act of magic to same Himself! That is an abomination. We know
that an angel delivered Christ out of the hands of His detractors. All this
magic and wichcraft will pave the way for Satan to
work his so-called miracles in the last days and professing Seventh-day
Adventists are grooming their people to accept such "miracles" by
being entertained by magicians. Malachi 3:5 - And I will come
near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the
sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against
those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless,
and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the
LORD of hosts. Acts 13:6 - And when they had
gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain
sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus:

interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the

hosting a mother/daughter basketball game as a fundraiser that will feature
some of our young and not so young ladies. Come out and support our school! SINGLES SOCIAL, February 19 The Singles are hosting a red
hearts banquet at the Youth Center starting at 7pm. The cost is $15 per
person and you can pay at the door. GOLF TOURNAMENT, February 27 Each month we sponsor a golf
scramble tournament. This month we are playing ___ ___ Municiple
Golf Course. The cost is about $35 with a cart. If you are planning to participate,
please sign up at the Information Center. ADVENTIST WINTERFEST, March
4-9 You are planning another ski
trip during Spring Break 2005. Once a year, Adventist from all over the U.S. converge in the Rocky Mountains for a week of skiing. The
cost will be around $400 per person that includes everything except getting
there. VOCAL UNION, March 26 We are privilege once again
to be able to host a concert with Vocal Union. This year they will be
bringing another group from Africa with them. The concert will begin at 7pm.
