Achan, His Family,

and

The SDA New Movement as a Minority

"The plain straight testimony must live in the church, or the curse of God will rest upon His people as surely as it did upon ancient Israel because of their sins. God holds His people, as a body [corporately], responsible for the sins existing in individuals among them." Testimonies, vol. 3, p. 269.

Gar wrote to Brian: "Brian, Not everyone in the Church is part of the New Movement in fact the majority are not. Ron wants to focus on the minority members who are apostates. The World Church just struck a blow to the New Movement with the election of the New President. Guess who voted him in? The MAJORITY. God is taking the reins of His Church. Like Ellen White said if things need correcting at the head of the work God will see to it--and He has.”

Ron's response: In the case of Achan, not everyone in Israel knew of his apostasy in disobedience to God's command not to take any of the booty from the conquered enemy for personal use as Achan did. Nevertheless, there was a curse upon all Israel and Joshua, their leader, lost their war with the enemy until the sin of Achan was searched out and put out of the camp. In other words, Israel was held corporately responsible for the sin of Achan until their leader fulfilled the duty to search out the camp for the sin that caused the enemy to succeed and put that sin from the camp.

Achan and his family were surely a minority in that they were all held guilty of Achan's sin because they knew about it. Achan's family were killed along with him because they knew of his sin and did not confess it to Joshua, Israel's leader, so he could remove it from the camp. If they had confessed Achan's sin (the apostasy) as soon as they learned of it, they would not have been killed with Achan. Though such a small minority were guilty of apostasy, all Israel suffered the consequences until the sin was searched out and put from the camp.

SDA’s a Theocracy

Theocracy -- "God's people have been called out of the world, that they may be separated from the world. It is not safe for them to take sides in politics, whatever preference they may have. They are ever to remember that they are one in Christ. God calls upon them to enter their names as under His THEOCRACY. He cannot approve of those who link up with worldlings [and churches which cannot be distinguished from the world, Early Writings, 273]. We are entirely out of our place when we identify ourselves with party interests....

God has chosen a people who are to proclaim the third angel's message to the world. They are to be a separate and peculiar people in this world of churches who are transgressing His commandments." E.G. White Manuscript Releases Volume 3, 40, 41.

Will God have to apologize to Israel for employing His principle of corporate responsibility with them, and not with SDA’s? Did God focus on the minority of sinners? Yes He did. He focused on the minority in the church of Israel, the theocracy of Israel, until sin was searched out and put from the camp. Today, God is focusing on the minority in the church of modern-day Israel, who have committed unpardonable sin by:

·       Reuniting with Babylon after knowing the truth of the Midnight Cry and the second angel's message to come out and stay out of Babylon's associations, counsels/councils, girdings and confederacies/conspiracies.

·       In addition to that, the church has smuggled in what Rome considers to be her central doctrine, the Trinity Doctrine, which sweeps away the entire Christian economy by negating the sacrifice of the Son's Holy Spirit at His Incarnation in the heavenly Sanctuary, as a highest good, crowning gift to man for his regeneration back into the image of God and for power for overcoming sin that he might be so regenerated. It was at that sacrifice that the Holy Spirit of the Son of God became the Holy Ghost of the Divine Nature of Christ. Before that sacrifice, the one eternal Holy Spirit was the essence of the Father and the Son. The Son was God alone. After that sacrifice, the Son became combined with humanity forever says Ellen White, and former life consisting of the Holy Spirit ONLY, was thus forfeited forever. After His second death on the cross, He could never return to His former existence as Spirit ONLY. In other words, mainstream "christianity" via the Trinity Doctrine, teaches that the Holy Spirit existed as a third person forever. That is not true. The Bible says there is one eternal spirit--THE ETERNAL SPIRIT. Both the Father and Son were of the essence of that one eternal Spirit, so the Holy Spirit existed in two persons until the Incarnation. At that time, Christ was divested of His Holy Spirit only life, and that Holy Spirit ONLY life became a third person of the Godhead.

This sacrifice of the Son's existence of Holy Spirit ONLY, at the Incarnation, was essential to the salvation of man. It was heaven's highest good, crowning sacrificial gift to man, without which the cross would have been of no avail. Why? Because there would have been no cure for sin in man, and thus Christ would have had to take our sin upon Himself forever. The highest good, crowning sacrifice we are speaking of which took place in the heavenly Sanctuary at the Incarnation, is part of the Sanctuary message and the Atonement and without that sacrifice there is no Sanctuary sacrifice which had to take place in the heavenly Sanctuary, the pattern of the earthly. There would have been no Atonement for sin, because there would have been no cure for sin. Thus, the Trinity Doctrine sweeps away the entire economy of true Christianity and the sacrifices involved, by sweeping away the Sanctuary and Atonement sacrifices, without which the cross would have been of no avail because on the cross the Son took our sins upon Himself, but that did not cure sin. It was the gift of His Holy Ghost (Spirit) Divine nature that was to be the ONLY cure for sin. Thus Ellen White said:

Definition of Holy Spirit

"Christ declared that after his ascension, he would send to his church, as his crowning gift, the Comforter, who was to take his place. This Comforter is the Holy Spirit,--the soul of his life, the efficacy of his church, the light and life of the world. With his Spirit Christ sends a reconciling influence and a power that takes away sin.

In the gift of the Spirit, Jesus gave to man the highest good that heaven could bestow....

The Spirit was given as a regenerating agency, and without this the sacrifice of Christ would have been of no avail....

It is by the Spirit that the heart is made pure. Through the Spirit the believer becomes a partaker of the divine nature. Christ has given his Spirit as a divine power to overcome all hereditary and cultivated tendencies to evil, and to impress his own character upon the church." E.G. White, Review and Herald Articles, May 19, 1904, vol. 5, p. 42.

Divested -- Emptied Himself -- Eternal Sacrifice Divine Soul

"Cumbered with humanity Christ could not be in every place personally. Therefore it was altogether for their advantage that He should leave them to go to His Father and send the Holy Spirit to be His successor on earth. The Holy Spirit is Himself, divested of the personality of humanity and independent thereof. He would represent Himself as present in all places by His Holy Spirit" E.G. White, (Manuscript Releases Volume 14 (No’s 1081-1135) MR No.1084.

"The apostle would call our attention from ourselves to the Author of our salvation. He presents before us His two natures, divine and human. . . . He voluntarily assumed human nature. It was His own act, and by His own consent. He clothed His divinity with humanity. He was all the while as God, but He did not appear as God. He veiled the demonstrations of Deity which had commanded the homage, and called forth the admiration of the universe of God. He was God while upon earth, but He divested Himself of the form of God, and in its stead took the form and fashion of a man. He walked the earth as a man. For our sakes He became poor, that we through His poverty might be made rich. He laid aside His glory and His majesty. He was God, but the glories of the form of God He for awhile relinquished. . . . He bore the sins of the world, and endured the penalty which rolled like a mountain upon His divine soul. He yielded up His life a sacrifice, that man should not eternally die. He died, not through being compelled to die, but by His own free will." E.G. White, SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 7a, p. 446.

"...When God's people take the position that they are the temple of the Holy Ghost, Christ himself abiding within, they will clearly reveal Him in spirit, words and actions that there will be unmistakable distinction between them and Satan's followers" Notebook Leaflets, p. 79.

"The impartation of the Spirit is the impartation of the life of Christ" Desire of Ages, p. 805.

Why say that the Holy Spirit Himself is divested of the personality of humanity and independent thereof if the person of Christ is not implicated? He represents Himself (Christ) as present in all places BY HIS HOLY SPIRIT. This coincides with John 14, where He says the Father will send another comforter and then Christ says: I will come.  The Holy Spirit is thus totally implicated as being His past being uncombined with humanity--divested of humanity and independent thereof, and there you have the third person of the Godhead--The Son's Divine Nature Holy Spirit ONLY, which is divested of the personality of humanity and independent thereof--an independent third person.  This is not difficult reasoning nor putting anything to the stretch. Especially in light of the living fact that Ellen White clearly stated that the Holy Spirit is the life and soul of Christ--yet it is divested of humanity. No need to say that if:

·       The Holy Spirit had always been a separate and distinct person.

·       But there is a need to say that if she said the Holy Spirit is the life and soul of Christ which she did say.

·       The divestation of Divinity occurred in the Heavenly Sanctuary at the Incarnation. There is a heavenly sanctuary, and a sacrifice was performed there, and Ellen White says that sacrifice met all the prescribed limits of the covenant. Interesting.

The Trinity Doctrine teaches that the Holy Spirit had always been a separate and distinct third person. That does not jive with Ellen White's teaching above.

"7. Made himself of no reputation. Literally, 'emptied Himself.'  This emptying was voluntary (see on John 10:17, 18).  It was not possible for Christ to retain all the tokens of divinity and still accomplish the Incarnation.  The outworking of this emptying is detailed in the remainder of Phil. 2:7 and in v. 8.  See Vol. 5, p. 918."  SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 7, p. 155, col. 1.

Incarnation -- Sanctuary -- Begotten Son at Incarnation?

  “The incarnation of Christ, typified in the sacrificial service of Israel, and symbolized in all their devotions, is a glorious mystery. In His only begotten Son, God was made manifest to the world. The Son of God laid aside His glory, and clothed Himself with humanity. He became the meek and lowly Jesus. For the sake of sinful men He became poor, that they through His poverty might be made rich.” {BEcho, February 20, 1899 par. 1}

I have said that the heavenly Sanctuary was the pattern for the earthly and what takes place in one must first take place in the other. Thus, there was a heavenly Sanctuary sacrifice involved in the emergence (divestment) of the Son's Holy Spirit essence as a third person when He divested Himself of that life (Spirit) ONLY existence to take on humanity forever as part of His existence.

Where did the tokens of divinity go at the Incarnation? Scripture is clear that it went to God the Father, because Jesus said that if we pray the Father, HE will send us the Holy Spirit, another Comforter, and then Jesus said He will come, John 14. And in verse 16 it says we will come to you.  So the Divine Nature of the Son was bequeathed to us through the Father's care. It is proffered thusly:

2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Phl 2:5 ¶ Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

 Phl 2:6  Who, being
in the form of God, [same substance--ONE ETERNAL SPIRIT] thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Phl 2:7  But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Phl 2:8  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Phl 2:9  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him,
and given him a name which is above every name: This is something Janine should take heed of, along with verse 2:6 above.

 Phl 2:10  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth;

W. J. Johnson on the Holy Spirit

“On the cross, He died the eternal death of the sinner, from which there can be no hope of a resurrection; that we might receive the eternal life-in-Himself, which had been His. This eternal life was the entity of the Holy Ghost. A ghost is the image – the living spirit – of one who has died. At death, it returned to God who gave it. Christ was the eternal Son of God by virtue of the eternal Spirit of life which the Father had shared with His Only-begotten Son from eternity past. [cf John 5:26]. But He volunteered to die the eternal death of the sinner.

Note: How did Christ die the eternal death of the sinner? He FOREVER died to His past life of DIVINITY ONLY, and bequeathed that past life of DIVINE NATURE to us for overcoming and regeneration back into the image of God. End note.

And after presenting His disciples with His final profound lesson at the last Passover supper, explaining how He must die the eternal death of the sinner, and relinquish His eternal body and blood for them to eat and drink to obtain the eternal life which had been His, He went to Gethsemane and surrendered His life into the custody of His Father; and thus could die the eternal death of sinful humanity on the cross.” J. Wilfred Johnson, Panorama of Truth, Vol. 1, p. 210.

The Time When 144,000 Collectively Receive the Holy Ghost

“After His resurrection, He ascended to intercede in the most holy apartment of the heavenly sanctuary for the Father to send His Spirit of eternal life – now called the Holy Ghost – to each one for whom He interceded. When the 144,000 saints obtain perfect obedience, they will collectively receive the fullness of the Holy Ghost of the former Christ who had died the second death of the sinner from which there is no hope of a resurrection. Repentant sinners live eternally by receiving the eternal life Spirit of Christ – the Holy Ghost – as a permanent gift.” J. W. Johnson, Panorama of Truth, Vol. 1, p. 210.

“Christ declared that after his ascension, He would send to His church, the Comforter, who was to take His place. This Comforter is the Holy Ghost – the soul of His life . . .” E.G. White, Review and Herald, May 19th, 1904.

"The work of the Holy Spirit is immeasurably great. It is from this source that power and efficiency come to the worker for God and the holy Spirit is the Comforter, as the personal presence of Christ to the soul." (HM, Nov 1 1893)

'The reason why the churches are weak and sickly and ready to die is that the enemy has brought influences of a discouraging nature to bear upon trembling souls. Satan has sought to shut Jesus from view as their Comforter, as the one who reproves, who warns, who admonishes, 'this Is the way walk ye in it'" R&H, Vol. 2, p. 422.

It is clear from the above quotes that Ellen White believed Jesus to be the Comforter.

Here are some more quotes:

"The Saviour is the Comforter, this I have proved Him to be" Manuscript Release 548-6.

If the Saviour is the Comforter, how is it that the Holy Spirit is the Comforter, the third person of the Godhead? Answer: At the Incarnation, the soul of His life, the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, the Divine Nature of the Son, was given to man. The life that WAS HIS, was given to us at that time and that time was from the foundation of the earth:

Personifies Christ

     “The Holy Spirit is the Comforter, in Christ's name. He personifies Christ, yet is a distinct personality. We may have the Holy Spirit if we ask for it and make it [a] habit to turn to and trust in God rather than in any finite human agent who may make mistakes.” {20MR 324.2}

“...when on the day of Pentecost the promised Comforter descended and the power from on high was given and the souls of the believers thrilled with the conscious presence of their ascended Lord" G.C. p. 351.

"The Saviour has not promised His followers the luxuries of the world ... but His word is pledged that their need shall be supplied, and He has promised that which is far better than worldly good, the abiding comfort of His own presence" Desire of Ages, p. 367.

"As by faith we look to Jesus, our faith pierces the shadow, and we adore God for His wondrous love in giving us Jesus, the Comforter.

"... The mystic ladder of his dream represented Jesus, the only medium of communication between God and man" Steps to Christ, p. 20, 1892.

Note what some of the Adventist Pioneers have to say concerning the Spirit:

"The Spirit of God is spoken of in the Scriptures as God's representative - the power by which He works, the agency by which all things are upheld. This is clearly expressed by the Psalmist. (Ps. 139:7-10) We learn from this language the when we speak of the Spirit of God we are really speaking of His presence and power" R&H, Sept. 13, 1898, J.N. Loughborough.

"Finally, we know the Divine unity of the Father and the Son from the fact that both have the same Spirit. Paul, after saying that they that are in the flesh cannot please God, continues, 'But we are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His' Romans 8:9. Here we find that the Holy Spirit is both the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ" E.G. Waggoner, Christ and His Righteousness, p. 23, 1892.

"The Holy Spirit is the mighty energy of the Godhead, the life and power of God flowing out from Him to all parts of the universe, and thus making living connection between His throne and all creation ... Thus the Spirit is personified in Christ and God, but never revealed as a separate person. Never are we told to pray to the Spirit but to God FOR the Spirit ... Never do we find in the Scriptures prayers to the Spirit but to God for the Spirit" Signs of the Times, (Questions & Answers) 1911, M. C. Wilcox (General Conference President at the time).

Today's church leaders ask us to believe that Ellen White thus changed her mind about her prior beliefs on the personality of God and made this clear to the congregation of the time, through a single sentence penned in The Desire of Ages. Wilcox must have missed it, along with the editors of Signs of the Times, as the above was written in 1911 AFTER Desire of Ages was published and while EGW was still alive.

Sigh cry--Mark this point with care: "Who are standing in the counsel of God at this time? Is it those who virtually excuse wrongs among the professed people of God and who murmur in their hearts, if not openly, against those who would reprove sin? Is it those who take their stand against them and sympathize with those who commit wrong? No, indeed! Unless they repent, and leave the work of Satan in oppressing those who have the burden of the work and in holding up the hands of sinners in Zion, they will never receive the mark of God's sealing approval. They will fall in the general destruction of the wicked, represented by the work of the five men bearing slaughter weapons. Mark this point with care: Those who receive the pure mark of truth, wrought in them by the power of the Holy Ghost, represented by a mark by the man in linen, are those 'that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done' in the church. Their love for purity and the honor and glory of God is such, and they have so clear a view of the exceeding sinfulness of sin, that they are represented as being in agony, even sighing and crying. Read the ninth chapter of Ezekiel." E.G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 3, p. 267.

Does Scripture Support Ellen White's Teaching on the Godhead--The Personality of God and His Son Christ Jesus?

The answer is yes indeed.

John 14

1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. 25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. 29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe. 30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. 31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

Jesus said He was the way, the life and the truth. So the Spirit of Truth is the Spirit of Christ. Verse 18 says:

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

So indeed, the Comforter, as Ellen White said, is Christ, the Holy Ghost life of Christ, which was His ONLY existence before the Incarnation. John 14 teaches contrary to the Trinity Doctrine. This chapter teaches that the Holy Spirit is the Comforter and that the Comforter (Holy Spirit) is the life that WAS Christ's ONLY LIFE FORM before His Incarnation. It is that life that He gave to us as heaven's highest good, crowning gift, for man's regeneration back into the image of God.

John 14 teaches that the Holy Spirit WAS NOT a separate third person from eternity. Were that so, there would be four persons to the Godhead, to wit:

1.    God the Father and His One Eternal Holy Spirit.

2.    God the Son and His One Eternal Holy Spirit.

3.    God the Holy Spirit and His One Eternal Holy Spirit.

4.    God the Son Incarnated and His One Eternal Holy Spirit.

By teaching that the Holy Spirit always existed as a third person, one totally sweeps away the entire Christian economy by negating the heavenly Sanctuary sacrifice that played a vital part in the Atonement for sin. Without the eternal death of the Son's life as Spirit only, which paid the wages of sin--the eternal second death, there would have been no atonement for sin--no Sanctuary sacrifice.

The Alpha of apostasy negated the Sanctuary and Atonement sacrifice by saying that the Holy Spirit of God exists in everything--INCLUDING MAN--pantheism. The only way the Holy Spirit of God, the Son, could exist in man is by His divestation of His Holy Spirit (soul of His life) as a gift for man at His Incarnation.  Thus, both the theory of pantheism and the Trinity Doctrine sweep away the entire Christian economy by negating the highest good, crowning sacrifice in the heavenly Sanctuary that made it possible for Christ's Spirit, soul of His life, His Divine Nature, to invest mankind and cure his sin.

“The sacrifice of Christ as an atonement for sin is the great truth around which all other truths cluster. In order to be rightly understood and appreciated, every truth in the word of God, from Genesis to Revelation, must be studied in the light that streams from the cross of Calvary. I present before you the great, grand monument of mercy and regeneration, salvation and redemption,--the Son of God uplifted on the cross. This is to be the foundation of every discourse given by our ministers.” Gospel Workers, 315.

"The spiritualistic theories regarding the personality of God [the Godhead], followed to their logical conclusion, sweep away the whole Christian economy. They estimate as nothing the light that Christ came from heaven to give John to give to His people. They teach that the scenes just before us are not of sufficient importance to be given special attention. They make of no effect the truth of heavenly origin, and rob the people of God of their past experience, giving them instead a false science." E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk.1, p. 204.

The trinity doctrine is a spiritualistic theory of a group of Catholic men. That doctrine well served the abomination of selling indulgences for sin. How? Because rather than teaching the highest good, crowning sacrifice that heaven can bestow, the indwelling Holy Spirit Divine Nature, soul of the life of Christ, for the purpose of empowerment in overcoming all sin, the church taught the trinity doctrine--that there was no such sacrifice of the soul of the life of the Son of God in order to enable man to overcome sin. Thus, the only other option was sin/confess, sin/confess, sin/confess forever! That abominable doctrine brought a huge sum of money into the coffers of Rome and still does today. The newspapers told how John Kennedy's mother Rose Kennedy, paid an enormous sum of money to buy her son's way out of purgatory.

So even if the new movement SDA church was to reform on the point of a literal creation week, as the new President, Ted Wilson has proposed, the church is still guilty of the highest, crowning sin, the trinity doctrine, which negates the highest good, crowning sacrificial gift heaven can bestow upon man--by teaching that there was no Sanctuary Atoning sacrifice involved in the emergence of the Holy Spirit as a third person--rather that the Holy Spirit existed as a third person forever. This is Satan's state of the art lie, which sweeps away the entire Christian economy, and the SDA new movement church smuggled that lie into the church via LeRoy Froom in 1930, and voted it in at the 1980 General Conference Session.

"Worldly policy is taking the place of true piety and wisdom that comes from above, and God will remove His prospering hand from the conference. Shall the ark of the covenant be removed from this people? Shall idols be smuggled in? Shall false principles and false precepts be brought into the sanctuary? Shall antichrist be respected? Shall the true doctrines and principles given us of God, which have made us what we are, be ignored?.... This is directly where the enemy, through blinded, unconsecrated men, is leading us." E. G. White, Manuscript 29, 1890.

This sin is unpardonable after knowing the truth and SDA leaders have no excuse for not knowing and teaching this clear truth as rendered by the Bible in John 14, and via Ellen G. White, whom the church claims as its prophetess. Ecumenical liaison with Babylon, who teaches this lie, is also unpardonable sin. God's line in the sand is when His people confederate with His enemies to conspire against truth. This is proven in Jeremiah 11:9-15, when Israel conspired with His enemies. He told Jeremiah not to pray for that generation of Jews. That implies unpardonable sin. In verse 15, He asks what His beloved [bride] has to do in His house (Temple--church), seeing that she (the church) has wrought lewdness with many. This is a separation message because there is no power in such a church to save. We are not even to pray for such a church. Paul and Ellen White said that same anathema was to have a COUNTERPART in the last days and the only church that can directly parallel the Jewish church is the SDA church for both claimed to be "the Temple of the Lord," the remnant, and the commandment-keeping people of God.

COUNTERPART: "The Lord commanded one of his ancient servants, 'Pray not thou for this people [Jer. 7:16 and 11:14], neither lift up cry nor prayer for them neither make intercession to me for I will not hear thee.' The prophet thus describes the sins which had called forth this fearful denunciation: 'The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means and my people love to have it so and what will ye do in the end thereof?' 'From the least of them even unto the greatest of them, every one is given to covetousness and from the prophet even unto the priest, every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.' The apostles declare that this state of things will find its COUNTERPART in the last days. Many have a form of godliness, but in their daily life deny the power thereof. They have ceased to be convicted of their sins or alarmed at their state. They say in their hearts, 'The church is flourishing. Peace and spiritual prosperity are within her borders.' The words of the prophet may well apply to these self-deceivers, 'They have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them." E. G. White,  Second Advent Review and Sabbath Herald,  11-07-82.

COUNTERPART: "In the time of the Saviour, the Jews had so covered over the precious jewels of truth with the rubbish of tradition and fable, that it was impossible to distinguish the true from the false. The Saviour came to clear away the rubbish of superstition and long-cherished errors, and to set the jewels of God's word in the framework of truth. What would the Saviour do if he should come to us now as he did to the Jews? He would have to do a similar work in clearing away the rubbish of tradition and ceremony. The Jews were greatly disturbed when he did this work [As are SDAs today!]. They had lost sight of the original truth of God, but Christ brought it again to view. It is our work to free the precious truths of God from superstition and error." E.G. WhiteReview and Herald, vol. 2, 308.

There is a modern COUNTERPART to the ancient apostate "chosen people" of God. That modern COUNTERPART is the people who claim to be the modern "chosen people" of God, the remnant, if you will.

There are over 100 statements to the affect that SDA’s are repeating the history of ancient Israel. Here are just a few of them:

"I have been shown that the spirit of the world is fast leavening the church. You are following the same path as did ancient Israel. There is the same falling away from your holy calling as God's peculiar people. You are having fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. Your [ecumenical] concord with unbelievers have provoked he Lord's displeasure. You know not the things that belong to your peace, and they are fast being hid from your eyes. [The very words applied to fallen Israel on page 17 of The Great Controversy] Your neglect to follow the light will place you in a more unfavorable position than the Jews upon whom Christ pronounced a woe." Testimonies, Vol. 5, pp. 75-76.

"Like ancient Israel, the church has dishonored her God by departing from the light, neglecting her duties, and abusing her high and exalted privilege of being peculiar and holy in character. Her members have violated their covenant to live for God and him only. They have joined with the selfish and world-loving. Pride, the love of pleasure, and sin have been cherished, and CHRIST HAS DEPARTED. His Spirit has been quenched in the church. Satan works wide by side with professed Christians yet they are so destitute of spiritual discernment that they do not detect him." E.G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 2, pp. 441-442.

"Among the professed followers of Christ, there is the same pride, formalism, vainglory, selfishness, and OPPRESSION, that existed in the Jewish nation." E.G. White, Sketches from the Life of Paul, 251-252.

"God's professed people are selfish and self-caring....They are idolaters, and are worse, in the sight of God, than the heathen, graven-image worshippers who have had no knowledge of a better way." Testimonies, Vol. 2, 440-441.

Will the church ever repent for adopting Rome's central doctrine, the trinity doctrine? Will the church ever repent for conspiring with Babylon to confederate with her associations [local Ministerial Associations], her counsels/councils, girdings and confederacies, Isaiah 8:9-12, for which unpardonable sin it will receive a literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9? Let Ellen White answer that question. Let God answer that question.

Wax stronger "One thing it is certain is soon to be realized, the great apostasy, which is developing and increasing and waxing stronger, and will continue to do so until the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout. We are to hold fast the first principles of our denominated faith, and go forward from strength to increased faith. Ever we are to keep the faith that has been substantiated by the Holy Spirit of God from the earlier events of our experience until the present time. We need now larger breadth, and deeper, more earnest, unwavering faith in the leadings of the Holy Spirit. If we needed the manifest proof of the Holy Spirit's power to confirm truth in the beginning, after the passing of the time, we need to-day all the evidence in the confirmation of the truth, when souls are departing from the faith and giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. There must not be any languishing of soul now." (E.G. White, Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 7, p. 57).

"The enemy will set everything in operation to uproot the confidence of the believers in the pillars of our faith in the messages of the past, which have placed us upon the elevated platform of eternal truth, and which have established and given character to the work. The Lord God of Israel has led out His people, unfolding to them truth of heavenly origin." "The truth for this time is precious, but those whose hearts have not been broken by falling on the Rock Christ Jesus, will not see and understand what is truth. They will accept that which pleases their ideas, and will begin to manufacture another foundation than that which is laid. They will flatter their own vanity and esteem, thinking that they are capable of removing the pillars of our faith, and replacing them with pillars they have devised. This will continue to be as long as time shall last." Notebook, Leaflets, pp. 61-62.

"The Bible for Our Time.--Never are we absent from the mind of God. God is our joy and our salvation. Each of the ancient prophets spoke less for their own time than for ours, so that their prophesying is in force for us. 'Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come' (1 Cor. 10:11). 'Not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven which things the angels desire to look into' (1 Peter 1:12).'" E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk. 3, p. 338.

     Prophets Wrote for Their Own and Our Day.—“The last books of the Old Testament show us workers taken from the laborers in the field. Others were men of high ability and extensive learning, but the Lord gave them visions and messages. These men of the Old Testament spoke of things transpiring in their day, and Daniel, Isaiah, and Ezekiel not only spoke of things that concerned them as present truth, but their sights reached down to the future, and to what should occur in these last days.”--Letter 132, 1898. {3SM 419.5, 420}

So the following verses apply to professing Seventh-day Adventists--especially, because they have had the example of apostate Israel:

23 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 24 Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation. 25 There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof. 26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. 27 Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. 28 And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken. 29 The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully. 30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. 31 Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 22:23-31.

11 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them. 12 Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble. 13 For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal. 14 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble. 15 What hath my beloved to do in mine house, seeing she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest. Jeremiah 11:9-15.

31 And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward: 32 For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this. Isaiah 37:31, 32.

In every succeeding generation, God's true reformer church has always separated itself from churches that committed sin and/or rejected and would not tolerate light. Desire of Ages, 232. That principle has not changed. And if one will not separate from such unpardonable sin? The same result that accrued to Achan and his family will occur. Ezekiel 9 slaughter of men, maidens and little children will be their sure punishment:

"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling will YOU hear? Will YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley, September 26, 1909.)" E. G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260.

“The time will soon come when the prophecy of Ezekiel 9 will be fulfilled; that prophecy should be carefully studied, for it will be fulfilled to the very letter.”— Ellen G. White 1888 Materials, p. 1303.

The Signs of the Times, February 12, 1880:  “The desolation of Jerusalem stands as a solemn warning before the eyes of modern Israel.”

“The desolation of Jerusalem in the days of Jeremiah is a solemn warning to modern Israel, that the counsels and admonitions given them through chosen instrumentalities cannot be disregarded with impunity.”  Prophets and Kings, 416.

It is interesting that Vance Ferrell boasts the citing of more E.G. White statements on the Godhead than any other ministry. But he omits the following all defining statement:

Every specification of the following statement can be proven to be fulfilled:

"The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A NEW ORGANIZATION would be established. Books of a NEW ORDER would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the NEW MOVEMENT. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but GOD BEING REMOVED, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure.
Who has authority to begin such a [NEW] movement? We have our Bibles, we have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the Holy Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not repudiate everything that is not in harmony with this truth?” E.G. White, Selected Messages, Vol. 1, 204, 205.

Because the above statement is reality, the following outcome of the SDA church militant will also be a reality:

"Jesus sends HIS PEOPLE a message of warning to prepare them for his coming. To the prophet John was made known the closing work in the great plan of man's redemption. He beheld an angel flying 'in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him for the hour of his Judgment is come and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters [Rev. 14:6, 7.].

The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message, symbolizes a class of faithful men, who, obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth. This message was not to be committed to the religious leaders of the people. They had failed to preserve their connection with God, and had REFUSED THE LIGHT FROM HEAVEN therefore they WERE NOT of the number described by the apostle Paul: 'But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day we are not of the night nor of darkness' [1 Thess. 5:4, 5].

The watchmen upon the walls of Zion should be the first to catch the tidings of the Saviour's advent, the first to lift their voices to proclaim him near, the first to warn the people to prepare for his coming. But they were at ease, dreaming of peace and safety, while the people were asleep in their sins. Jesus saw HIS CHURCH, like the barren fig-tree, covered with pretentious leaves, yet destitute of precious fruit. There was a boastful observance of the forms of religion, while the spirit of true humility, penitence and faith--which alone could render the service acceptable to God--was lacking. Instead of the graces of the Spirit, there were manifested pride, formalism, vainglory, selfishness, oppression. A BACKSLIDING CHURCH closed their eyes to the signs of the times. God did nor forsake them, or suffer his faithfulness to fail but they departed from him, and SEPARATED THEMSELVES from his love. As they  REFUSED TO COMPLY WITH THE CONDITIONS, his promises were NOT FULFILLED to them."  E.G. White, The Spirit of Prophecy,  vol. 4, pp. 199-200 [The 1884 edition of The Great Controversy].

Like Ellen White said if things need correcting at the head of the work God will see to it--and He has."

Notice the portion I highlighted in Red.

Gar would have the reader believe that The MAJORITY of the laymembers (commonfolk) of the SDA World Church "voted him in". --- When nothing could be further from the truth! --- Either Gar is VERY ignorant of his own church's governmental structure and/or procedures, or, he has blatantly manipulated the true facts of the matter. --- Personally, I happen to know that Gar is NOT ignorant concerning the basics of how SDA Presidents are [s]elected.

As for whether or not The MAJORITY of the laymembers (commonfolk) of the SDA World Church "voted" for the General Conference President, notice:

"At the local conference level the Seventh-day Adventist church has a representative form of government, above that level the polity of the Seventh-day Adventist is hierarchical: authority flows downward and members in local congregations have virtually no voice.... the Seventh-day Adventist church is a closed, self-operating, and self-perpetuating system, similar to the Roman Catholic church, in which those in authority are not responsible to lower echelons. Above the local conference level, those in authority are not elected by, representative of, or administratively accountable to, local congregations or the membership at large." (Raymond F. Cottrell, former Associate Editor of the Adventist Review and the Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary, in Spectrum (Journal of Association of Adventist Forums), vol 14, #4, March, 1984, p 42).

Behind the scenes of a president's appointment

The Nominating Committee's attempt to keep the process private

25 Jun 2010, Atlanta, Georgia, United States
Edwin Manuel Garcia/ANN

Tucked in the farthermost wing on the top level of the sprawling Georgia World Congress Center, down a long hallway where few people wander, a select group of delegates gathered behind closed doors to undertake the most important task of the 59th General Conference Session.

They sat in Room C304 to nominate the Seventh-day Adventist world church president this morning.

And their work was top secret.

In fact, before being allowed entry into the room, committee members representing all 13 world regions lined up in single file to surrender their cell phones to a General Conference employee, who placed each device into its own clear, plastic bag, which remained outside the hall.

Acknowledging the age of rapid-fire texting, e-mailing and Tweeting, the committee agreed during a late-night organizational meeting Thursday to ban phones -- thus leading members not into temptation to release the name of the presidential nominee before the official announcement.

"They're trying to keep the chatter from this room from leaving the room," said committee chairman Robert Kyte. "Technology today is wonderful but we don't want the technology to beat the work of the committee."

So much for that. The name of nominee Ted Wilson began circulating outside the room about 30 minutes before he was officially brought before the full Session.

Some of the 236 members seemed taken aback by the cell phone ban before Friday's meeting, though none complained.

"I think the purpose is fine, it's just the actuality of letting go of your cell phone is hard to fathom," said Mark Thomas, president of the Review and Herald Publishing Association. "For 24 hours a day I use my cell phone," Thomas said, likening it to a family member.

"I think we can just make reasonable precautions to make sure the integrity of the committee is preserved," said Branimir Schubert, vice chancellor of Pacific Adventist University in Papua New Guinea. "On the other hand, technology is such today that it's almost impossible from preventing someone from doing something wrong if they choose to do so."

After turning in their phones, members picked up their paper nametags and handed them to a volunteer security officer at the door, who then checked the names with the participants' badges before finally letting them into the room.

Once inside, members sat at tables with binders and handheld wireless devices to record their votes electronically.

Several of the members interviewed shortly before the meeting started said they were honored to have been chosen, and recognized the significance of their role.

"It's an immense responsibility to realize that the leadership of the church rests on the shoulders of those in this meeting, and the leadership of the church is critical," said first-time committee member Rosalie McFarlane of New Zealand, one of few female members.

Committee members discussed names before settling on Wilson. Committee leaders then left the room and walked to the cavernous Georgia Dome, where they informed current President Jan Paulsen of the selection. The leadership then met in private with Wilson who indicated he would accept if the nomination was approved by the Session delegates.

A security detail then escorted Wilson, Chairman Kyte and other committee leaders, to the backstage area of the platform.

Wilson's name was brought before hundreds delegates who voted with their yellow cards to accept him to be president for the next five years.
