The Views of Andrew Henriques on the Godhead

A representative of my home ministry team, contacted Andrew Henriques, and requested information as to his teachings on the Godhead. He never responded. I finally have some data a person from Orlando, Florida, sent to me on the teaching of Andrew Henriques on the Godhead. This is from his website at this address:

http://www.prophesyagain.com.au/the-trinity.html

The following statements by Andrew, appear on the first page, and they tell all. Prophesy Again does not believe in three persons to the Godhead.

“The idea of three persons being involved does not come from the word itself, it is a number imposed by trinitarians.”

“Communication between the Father and son and not a trinity is what is taking place just as in Zechariah 6:13 where Christ is a priest upon his throne and "the counsel of peace is between them BOTH".

Andrews Note #4

“Note 4: The 'loving family' of the trinity in the article has members described as "God the father, god the son and god the holy spirit"[xiv]. The titles god the son' and 'god the holy spirit' were first used in the Athanasian Creed developed in the late 5th and 6th century. The Son of God and the Holy Spirit of God are the titles given to them in scripture. Man's idea of who God is has been placed above God's inspired word.
The term "god the son" is not found in the Bible, but is a term found in a later Christian source. By scribal error the term is in one medieval manuscript, MS No.1985, where Galatians 2:2 has "Son of God" changed to "god the son". The term in English follows Greek and Latin usage as found in the Athanasian Creed and other texts of the early church.”

Andrew ends the article with this sentence: “How will you answer Elijah’s question?

The Elijah question has not been addressed by Andrew. The truth of the Godhead does include three persons, and Andrew does not deal with a third person, obviously believing a third person is pagan. That would make Ellen White a pagan in the following “three person” statements by her at this link:

http://everlasting-gospel.blogspot.ca/2009/04/did-ellen-white-believe-in-three-person.html

The belief that a third person does not exist, rules out the Incarnation, which produced another distinct person in the humanity of Christ. Ellen White said that Christ’s Holy Spirit Himself, His Divine nature, is independent thereof from His humanity, and must be so because the attributes of the pre-Incarnation divinity of Christ, are cumbered by His humanity.

John chapter 14 depicts THREE PERSONS. The human person of Jesus is the speaker. He is speaking to Philip while He (Jesus) was on earth. He says He is the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. That is pre-Incarnation nature, which Ellen White said did not die on the cross.

Jhn 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

In verse 23, Jesus says He and His Father will come to us. They are Spirit, the ONE ETERNAL SPIRIT. Jesus’ humanity does not come to us because He is human forever says the Bible and Ellen White. That is part of His eternal sacrifice that paid the debt for our sins—eternal death. Also, the Testator of the Everlasting Covenant had to die to something eternally, because the Bible says that while He liveth, the testament (Covenant) is of no strength.

Heb 9:16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

Heb 9:17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

Andrew implies he has answered the Elijah question. I will let you decide if he answered that all important question. In Malachi 3, it does say that Elijah will come and establish the covenant. This means that He will set the record straight regarding the Godhead of the Testator of the Everlasting Covenant, and when man learns the truth of the FULL SACRIFICE Christ made, it will cause him to love more than ever before and buy faith in and love for Christ, gold tried in the fire, that will enable man to overcome all known sin. It is clear that Andrew does not understand the serious implications of a third person to the Godhead, in the form of the humanity of Christ.

Any denial of a THIRD PERSON, is in essence a denial of the Incarnation sacrifice, which produced a third person in the humanity of Christ, which Ellen White says was adopted into the Godhead of heaven. This is a very serious matter. Error on this issue is the ultimate antichrist position. If Andrew teaches truth on all other issues, and gets his followers to take an antichrist position on the Godhead, as he certainly has, that means loss of salvation. The same applies to Walter Veith and a lot who call themselves reformers.

All who support any teacher who renders an antichrist position on the Godhead, is corporately responsible. Satan is out to entrap God’s people under any guise possible. He is using some professing SDA, who seem to be powerful speakers, like Walter Veith and Andrew Henriques, to trap Adventists into believing antichrist doctrine on the Godhead. This is most insidious. But Satan is roaming the earth seeking whom he made devour. The Bible gives us that fair warning.

I am not in any wise saying not to listen to Andrew, Walter Veith, Vance Ferrell, David Barron or anyone! I listen to them and read their material. There is much good in all of them. However, I am saying that you had better know what they believe and teach when it comes to the Godhead, for any error on this issue is as antichrist as antichrist can get, and if you support those who teach error, you will be corporately responsible for the error.

"The plain straight testimony must live in the church, or the curse of God will rest upon His people as surely as it did upon ancient Israel because of their sins. God holds His people, as a body [corporately], responsible for the sins existing in individuals among them." Testimonies, vol. 3, p. 269.

"The names of those who sin and refuse to repent should not be retained on the church books, lest the saints be held accountable for their evil deeds. Those who pursue a course of transgression should be visited and labored with, and if they then refuse to repent, they should be separated from church fellowship, in accordance with the rules laid down in the Word of God." {11MR 208.3}
