Who Have not Bowed the Knee to Baal

Some faithful friends and supporters of my ministry from Ohio, sent me information this week about how Pastor Stephen Bohr excuses membership in the church on 3ABN. He instructs SDA’s to stick with the apostate church. Pastor Bohr tells his listeners:

“Of course, not every leader has sold his soul for a place in the Adventist Vatican. But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.” Romans 11:4.

Based on the Bible and Ellen White’s teaching on corporate responsibility, my friends enjoined: “But Pastor Bohr, what about corporate responsibility?”

And my friends are exactly correct! God’s seven thousand who had not bowed the knee to Baal were not numbered amongst the apostates because the apostates have bowed the knee to Baal. Way back in Elijah’s time, there existed a faithful few who did not bow the knee to Baal. They worshipped at home, to wit:

It would be comical were it not a tragedy that the current Conference President, Ted Wilson, says God’s people are corporately responsible when it comes to unity and praying for the Holy Spirit. But it goes further than that!

"The plain straight testimony must live in the church, or the curse of God will rest upon His people as surely as it did upon ancient Israel because of their sins. God holds His people, as a body [corporately], responsible for the sins existing in individuals among them." Testimonies, vol. 3, p. 269.

"The names of those who sin and refuse to repent should not be retained on the church books, lest the saints be held accountable for their evil deeds. Those who pursue a course of transgression should be visited and labored with, and if they then refuse to repent, they should be separated from church fellowship, in accordance with the rules laid down in the Word of God." {11MR 208.3}

"Christ has plainly taught that those who persist in open sin must be separated from the church..." E. G. White, Christ's Object Lessons, 71.

Christ cannot dwell amongst abominable apostasy. So open sin must be separated from any church that wants to be a valid church and that desire’s the Holy Spirit of Christ’s presence. When any church refuses to separate those who persist in open sin, and especially when a church’s leaders are the ring-leaders in the open sin apostasy, we must leave. That is God’s instruction. That is Ellen White’s instruction, lest we be held fully accountable for the apostasy ourselves!

"Even though you may not be able to speak a word to those who are working on wrong principles, leave them. Your withdrawal and silence may do more than words. Nehemiah refused to associate with those who were untrue to principle, and he would not permit his workmen to associate with them. The love and fear of God were his safeguard-Dare to be a Daniel, Dare to stand alone. Thus as did Moses, you will endure the seeing of Him who is invisible. But a cowardly and silent reserve before evil associates, while you listen to their devices makes you one with them Come out from among them and be separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." Review & Herald, Vol. 4, p. 42.

The Call Out Message in Ezekiel 12

Ellen White said to read Ezekiel 12 very carefully. Read these verses from that chapter and some of you will know why!

Ellen White’s Review and Herald, Vol. 4, p. 42 above statement is echoed in the following instruction to Ezekiel:

“Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house. Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they be a rebellious house. Ezekiel 12:2, 3.

Men like Stephen Bohr and Dr. Walter Veith, are either totally ignorant of corporate responsibility or they are willfully slighting this serious principle of God’s Word. Dr. Veith said that the German Conference President who signed the German Conference into Membership with the ecumenical councils in that country, was only himself responsible for that act! That flies in the face of the principle of corporate responsibility as taught in many examples of Scripture as well as the Spirit of Prophecy. God’s watchmen sure are blind leaders of the blind. They surely are dumb dogs who cannot see, who cannot understand. God indicts them all in Isaiah 56:10-12. He says ALL three times in those verses! Ellen White reapplies this passage in 5T 211, and many other places in principle.

Did Elijah Tell the People he Witnessed to That They Could Safely Co-exist With the Prophets of Baal?

Men like Stephen Bohr, Bill Hughes and Walter Veith, are teaching professing Seventh-day Adventists that they can safely dwell with apostate leaders and support them with the sacred tithe. Is that what Elijah told the subjects of the prophets of Baal in his day?

1Ki 18:22 Then said Elijah unto the people, I, [even] I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's prophets [are] four hundred and fifty men.

1Ki 18:25 And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress [it] first; for ye [are] many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire [under].

1Ki 18:27 And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he [is] a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, [or] peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.

1Ki 18:30 And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD [that was] broken down.

1Ki 18:31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name:

1Ki 18:36 And it came to pass at [the time of] the offering of the [evening] sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou [art] God in Israel, and [that] I [am] thy servant, and [that] I have done all these things at thy word.

1Ki 18:40 And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.

Moses did the same thing at the golden calf incident and the Korah rebellion. Korah and his leaders were Levite priests. The unrepentant apostates were killed off from the camp. But Jesus changed that plan. He gathered out the faithful from apostasy, and it has worked that way in every succeeding generation since—Desire of Ages, 232. Then some suggest we are to be like Moses in attitude of praying for the people. If you will read the Biblical account, He prayed for those who repented the next morning after the unrepentant apostates were killed. About 14,000 were killed in the Korah, Dathan and Abiram incident and about 3,000 in the golden calf apostasy.

A Grossly Misunderstood Ellen White Statement and The Abomination of Desolation

Many SDA’s interpret the following statement to mean that there should be no separation until the Sunday Law. That is interesting in light of the living fact that Ellen White parallels the entering of the Roman general Cestius Gallus and his army upon Jewish soil in A.D. 66, with the Sunday Law, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 451, and 464.

Though there are many varied views amongst historians as to what constituted an abomination of desolation, Ellen White did indeed parallel Any Roman landing upon Jewish soil with the abomination of desolation and the Sunday Law.

“Jesus declared to the listening disciples the judgments that were to fall upon apostate Israel, and especially the retributive vengeance that would come upon them for their rejection and crucifixion of the Messiah. Unmistakable signs would precede the awful climax. The dreaded hour would come suddenly and swiftly. And the Saviour warned his followers: "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place (whoso readeth let him understand), then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains." [MATT. 24:15, 16.] When the idolatrous standards of the Romans should be set up in the holy ground, which extended some furlongs outside the city walls, then the followers of Christ were to find safety in flight. When the warning sign should be seen, judgment was to follow so quickly that those who would escape must make no delay. He who chanced to be upon the housetop must not go down through his house into the street; but he must speed his way from roof to roof until he reach the city wall, and be saved "so as by fire." Those who were working in the fields or vineyards must not take time to return for the outer garment laid aside while they should be toiling in the heat of the day. They must not hesitate a moment, lest they be involved in the general destruction. {4SP 26.2}

“By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near.” {5T 451.1}

"As the approach of the Roman armies was a sign to the disciples of the impending destruction of Jerusalem, so may this apostasy be a sign to us that the limit of God's forbearance is reached, that the measure of our nation's iniquity is full, and that the angel of mercy is about to take her flight, never to return. The people of God will then be plunged into those scenes of affliction and distress which prophets have described as the time of Jacob's trouble. The cries of the faithful, persecuted ones ascend to heaven. And as the blood of Abel cried from the ground, there are voices also crying to God from martyrs' graves, from the sepulchers of the sea, from mountain caverns, from convent vaults: "How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost Thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?" {5T 451.2}

“It is no time now for God's people to be fixing their affections or laying up their treasure in the world. The time is not far distant, when, like the early disciples, we shall be forced to seek a refuge in desolate and solitary places. As the siege of Jerusalem by the Roman armies was the signal for flight to the Judean Christians, so the assumption of power on the part of our nation in the decree enforcing the papal sabbath will be a warning to us. It will then be time to leave the large cities, preparatory to leaving the smaller ones for retired homes in secluded places among the mountains. And now, instead of seeking expensive dwellings here, we should be preparing to move to a better country, even a heavenly. Instead of spending our means in self-gratification, we should be studying to economize. Every talent lent of God should be used to His glory in giving the warning to the world. God has a work for His colaborers to do in the cities. Our missions must be sustained; new missions must be opened. To carry forward this work successfully will require no small outlay. Houses of worship are needed, where the people may be invited to hear the truths for this time. For this very purpose, God has entrusted a capital to His stewards. Let not your property be tied up in worldly enterprises, so that this work shall be hindered. Get your means where you can handle it for the benefit of the cause of God. Send your treasures before you into heaven. {5T 464.3}

As we will see further down in this document, Ellen White referred to the Destruction of Jerusalem, as detailed in Chapter 1 of The Great Controversy, as a prefigure (type). This is of immense importance. God has given us a TYPE to go by so that we need not make any mistake about what to do and when to do it. What occurred in the type?

· Jesus and His followers began to separate from the apostate Jewish Temple in A.D. 27, Desire of Ages, 232, for the first act of Christ’s ministry was to “gather out” those who would take the gospel to the world.

· Ellen White parallels the abomination of desolation with the Sunday Law. This was the last signal to flee. This was the last time anyone could leave the apostate Temple and flee with the true Christians, but the faithful had been separating from the apostate Jewish Temple for 39 years before the final time to flee to Pella and its surrounding mountains. The separation from the apostate Jewish church was from A.D. 27-A.D. 66.

· Not only does Ellen White parallel the abomination with the Sunday law, she said the Ezekiel 9 destruction of Jerusalem was a type of what will occur at the end-time, BEGINNING AT HIS CHURCH, HIS SANCTUARY, 5T 211.

· If what literally occurred in that Ezekiel 9 prefigure (type) was indeed a type of what occurs at the end time literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, then faithful SDA’s will flee the apostate SDA church for at least 39 years before the abomination of desolation, or the Sunday Law is legislated.

· As in the TYPE, the time of the National Sunday law is the last time one can join God’s true and faithful people and be saved. But this is not the only time to leave the apostate church. This is not the only time the wheat is separated from the chaff, the gold from the dross, because in the type that was occurring for 39 years prior to the final opportunity to flee at the abomination of desolation—the surrounding of Jerusalem by Roman armies.

· If what literally occurred as part of the Ezekiel 9 sealing from A.D. 27-66 was a type of the end-time literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, BEGINNING AT HIS CHURCH, HIS SANCTUARY, then Testimonies, Vol. 5, 80-81 depict the final time for the faithful in all apostate churches to leave them and join God’s true remnant via the final Loud Cry call to the world.

· It is clear from the type, that the placing of the abomination of desolation WAS NOT THE ONLY TIME TO FLEE FROM THE APOSTATE JEWISH CHURCH, for that had been going on since A.D. 27, involving first the disciples, and then others after the final close of Israel’s probation in A.D. 34. But Jesus gathered out His bride, His disciples, DA 179, in A.D. 27, 43 years before the abomination of desolation was in place. And remember, Ellen White parallels the Sunday Law with the materialization of abomination of desolation—Roman soldiers surrounding the city of Jerusalem.

· We are to separate from apostasy when it occurs or we are held corporately responsible for it.

· The faithful followers of Christ did not wait until the abomination of desolation (parallel to the Sunday law) to leave the apostate Jewish church.

· In Desire of Ages, 232, it says that true reformers have separated from the church of their fathers in every succeeding generation for ONE REASON: the leaders refused to receive and tolerate light. That in and of itself is apostasy from the truth.

Christ and His followers began separating from the apostate Jerusalem church in A.D. 27, (DA 232), and continued recruiting followers until A.D. 66, at which time all separated Christians fled to Pella in the land of Perea. This is exactly what Ellen White, in principle, counsels us to do at the legislation of the Sunday law. She says to move from the cities to smaller towns prior to leaving for more solitary places. Pella was a town surrounded by mountains to which the faithful Christians could flee in A.D. 70, when Titus returned to Jerusalem and sacked the Temple and the city of Jerusalem.

“In the last solemn work few great men will be engaged. They are self-sufficient, independent of God, and He cannot use them. The Lord has faithful servants, who in the shaking, testing time will be disclosed to view. There are precious ones now hidden who have not bowed the knee to Baal. They have not had the light which has been shining in a concentrated blaze upon you [SDA’s in context]. But, it may be under a rough and uninviting exterior the pure brightness of a genuine Christian character will be revealed. In the daytime we look toward heaven, but do not see stars. They are there, fixed in the firmament, but the eye cannot distinguish them. In the night we behold their genuine luster. {ChS 49.2}

The time is not far distant, when the test will come to every soul.... In this time, the gold will be separated from the dross in the church. True godliness will be clearly distinguished from the appearance and tinsel of it. Many a star that we have admired for its brilliancy, will then go out in darkness. Chaff like a cloud will be borne away on the wind, even from places where we see only floors of rich wheat. All who assume the ornaments of the sanctuary, but are not clothed with Christ’s righteousness, will appear in the shame of their own nakedness.—Testimonies for the Church 5:80, 81. {ChS 49.3}

The above statement is one of the most misinterpreted (by SDA’s) of Ellen White’s statements. She is speaking in context of precious ones now hidden who have not bowed the knee to Baal. She says that such ones have not had the light which has been shining in a concentrated blaze as Adventists have been privy to.

In referencing the time when the test will come to every soul, of course she is referring to the Sunday law test. That is the final time when ALL SOULS, EVERY SOUL, will be tested and the final call for all gold will be separated from the dross in every apostate church in the world.

Adventists interpret this to mean that the chaff and dross are blown out of the church militant, but Ellen White is speaking of EVERY SOUL in EVERY CHURCH. She uses the word “church” in the collective, general sense. Here is the proof:

If the bad were shaken out of the SDA church militant and other churches, that would leave them purged and purified as the church triumphant, but God’s Word says that the bad are shaken into the midsts of Jerusalem for burning and melting. Ezekiel 22:17-31. That is what occurred in the last literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, and Ellen White says there will be another literal fulfillment BEGINNING AT HIS CHURCH, HIS SANTUARY, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211.

Why would a literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 begin at His church, His Sanctuary, if the bad were shaken out? Is that what occurred in the prefigure? No! The good left the bad and the apostate Temple was burned and men, maidens and little children were slaughtered. Ezekiel 22:17-31 is a record of what occurred in the type. Chapter 1 of The Great Controversy is a record of the TYPE that will be literally fulfilled again to the letter says Ellen White.

Some mock any mention of Ezekiel 9 as being associated with the Shepherd’s Rod. Was Ellen White a Shepherd’s Rod? I think not! Neither am I, nor have I ever been, nor will I ever be!

Further, Ellen White says that the last Ezekiel 9 destruction of the apostate Jewish church was a PREFGURE (TYPE). We know that destruction was Ezekiel 9, because that chapter is the sealing chapter. God’s people were given 490 years to put away sin. That probationary time ended in A.D. 34, at the stoning of Stephen. God would not permit such a debacle to come upon His people until their probationary time, which He prescribed for them in Daniel 9, was complete.

Here is Ellen White prefigure statement on the destruction of Jerusalem:

“The future was mercifully veiled from the disciples. Had they at that time fully comprehend the two awful facts--the Redeemer's sufferings and death, and the destruction of their city and temple--they would have been overwhelmed with horror. Christ presented before them an outline of the prominent events to take place before the close of time. His words were not then fully understood; but their meaning was to be unfolded as His people should need the instruction therein given. The prophecy which He uttered was twofold in its meaning; while foreshadowing the destruction of Jerusalem, it prefigured also the terrors of the last great day.

Christ’s prophecy was twofold in meaning:

1. It foreshadowed the Ezekiel 9 destruction of Jerusalem.

2. It foreshadowed the Ezekiel 9 destruction of the world in the last great day, Great Controversy, pp. 653-656, BUT LITERALLY BEGINNING AT HIS SANCTUARY, 5T 211 and the following statements:

"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling will YOU hear? Will YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley, September 26, 1909.)" E. G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260.

“The time will soon come when the prophecy of Ezekiel 9 will be fulfilled; that prophecy should be carefully studied, for it will be fulfilled to the very letter.”— Ellen G. White 1888 Materials, p. 1303.

The Signs of the Times, February 12, 1880: “The desolation of Jerusalem stands as a solemn warning before the eyes of modern Israel.”

“The desolation of Jerusalem in the days of Jeremiah is a solemn warning to modern Israel, that the counsels and admonitions given them through chosen instrumentalities cannot be disregarded with impunity.” Prophets and Kings, 416.

“In some cases, BEFORE the time specified in the decree, enemies will rush upon the waiting ones to put them to death.” E.G. White, The 1884 edition of The Great Controversy, p. 447.

In the prefigure of Ezekiel nine’s last literal fulfillment, if the faithful could co-dwell with apostasy for which we are to sigh and cry, how is it that Christ and His followers separated from the apostate Temple and formed home churches all over Judea?

Christ and His Disciples Separated

"Christ was a protestant...The Reformers date back to Christ and the apostles. They came out and separated themselves from a religion of forms and ceremonies. Luther and his followers did not invent the reformed religion. They simply accepted it as presented by Christ and the apostles." E.G. White, Review and Herald, vol. 2, 48, col. 2.

Paul Separated

“And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God. 9But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.” Acts 19:8, 9.

“Fearing that the faith of the believers would be endangered by continued association with these opposers of the truth, Paul separated from them, and gathered the disciples into a distinct body.” E.G. White, Acts of the Apostles, p. 285, 286.

"The recreant priests added licentiousness to the dark catalogue of their crimes yet they still polluted by their presence the tabernacle of the Lord, and, laden with sin, dared to come into the presence of a holy God. As the men of Israel witnessed the corrupt course of the priests, they thought it safer for their families not to come up to the appointed place of worship. Many went from Shiloh with their peace disturbed, their indignation aroused, until they at last determined to offer their sacrifices themselves, concluding that this would be fully as acceptable to God, as to sanction in any manner the abominations practiced in the Sanctuary." E.G. White, The Signs of the Times, vol. 1, p. 264, col. 3, December 1, 1881.

True Reformers of Every Succeeding Generation Have Separated From Apostates

"The Sanhedrin had rejected Christ's message and was bent upon His death therefore Jesus departed from Jerusalem, from the priests, the temple, the religious leaders, the people who had been instructed in the law, and turned to another class to proclaim His message, and to gather out those who should carry the gospel to all nations.

As the light and life of men was rejected by the ecclesiastical authorities in the days of Christ, so it has been rejected in every succeeding generation. Again and again the history of Christ's withdrawal from Judea has been repeated. When the Reformers preached the word of God, they had no thought of separating themselves from the established church but the religious leaders would not tolerate the light, and those that bore it were forced to seek another class, who were longing for the truth. In our day few of the professed followers of the Reformers are actuated by their spirit. Few are listening for the voice of God, and ready to accept truth in whatever guise it may be presented. Often those who follow in the steps of the Reformers are forced to turn away from the churches they love, in order to declare the plain teaching of the word of God. And many times those who are seeking for light are by the same teaching obliged to leave the church of their fathers, that they may render obedience." E.G. White, Desire of Ages, 232.

Consider these facts:

· Ezekiel 9 began at His church, His Sanctuary, the apostate Jewish Temple in A.D. 70. The Romans then destroyed the city of Jerusalem, says Josephus, an eye-witness Jewish historian.

· Ellen White says the words to Jesus to His disciples (The Great Controversy, p. 25) constitute a twofold type. So we have something as sure as a prefigure (type) informing us as to the final fate of the SDA church militant.

· Just as in the destruction of Jerusalem, the dross is gathered into the midsts of end-time spiritual Jerusalem, for burning and melting, Ezekiel 22:17-31. That is what occurred in the last literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, so for the next fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 to be literal, as Ellen White says it will be, then that same thing must occur in the antitypical literal fulfillment.

What About the 7000 Who had not Bowed the Knee to Baal in Elijah’s Day?

Some misguided individuals like Stephen Bohr, try to teach that there was a time when God’s people did not have to separate from apostasy. Bohr intimates that there were 7000 in the camp of apostate Israel who had not bowed the knee to Baal. Ellen White said that some had ignorantly bowed the knee to Baal. That is very different from wilfully, knowingly bowing the knee to Baal!

What occurred in the incident on Mt. Carmel involving Elijah is that all the false priests were killed and all who repented, just as all who formed at Moses’ right side at the golden calf incident, were spared.

In the early history of God’s first chosen people, the apostates were killed and the ark of the covenant was removed from the camp until this was done. Why? Because God’s presence cannot dwell in the midsts of sinful apostasy.

Consider this statement involving Shiloh, long before the Mt. Carmel incident involving Elijah. Shiloh was the first civilized settlement of the Hebrews after coming out of the Sinai wilderness, and the following statement depicts the fact that long before Elijah’s time, God had a faithful firmament of chosen ones who were not bowing the knee to Baal:

Ellen White’s description of those who have not bowed the knee to Baal at the end-time:

"A Firmament of Chosen Ones.--Among earth's inhabitants, scattered in every land, there are those who have not bowed the knee to Baal. Like the stars of heaven, which appear only at night, these FAITHFUL ONES will shine forth when darkness covers the earth and gross darkness the people. In heathen Africa, in the Catholic lands of Europe and of South America, in China, in India, in the islands of the sea, and in all the dark corners of the earth, God has in reserve a firmament of CHOSEN ONES that will yet shine forth amidst the darkness, revealing clearly to an apostate world the transforming power of obedience to His law. Even now they are appearing IN EVERY NATION, AMONG EVERY TONGUE AND PEOPLE and in the hour of deepest apostasy, when Satan's supreme effort is made to cause 'all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond,' to receive, under penalty of death, the sign of allegiance to a false rest day, these faithful ones, 'blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke,' will 'shine as light in the world.'" The darker the night, the more brilliantly will they shine." E.G. White, Evangelism,707, and Prophets and Kings, pp. 188, 189.

More Evidence That Those who Have not Bowed the Knee to Baal Include Non-Adventists

“Yet this apostasy, widespread as it has come to be, is not universal. Not all in the world are lawless and sinful; not all have taken sides with the enemy. God has many thousands who have not bowed the knee to Baal, many who long to understand more fully in regard to Christ and the law, many who are hoping against hope that Jesus will come soon to end the reign of sin and death. And there are many who have been worshiping Baal ignorantly, but with whom the Spirit of God is still striving.” {PK 171.1}

It is clear from the above statement that the Spirit of God is striving with those who have been worshipping Baal ignorantly! That does not include those who have been warned of the apostasy! They are wantonly worshipping Baal!

Many in the SDA church are still ignorant of the apostasy of the church and there will be new converts to that new movement church (1SM 204-205) during the little time of testing of all churches, who must be warned and given the gospel invitation to come out of all churches that are in apostasy, including the professing SDA once church.

“Thus the man of God continued to labor from year to year, drawing close to the people in faithful ministry, and in times of crisis standing by the side of kings as a wise counselor. The long years of idolatrous backsliding on the part of rulers and people had wrought their baleful work; the dark shadow of apostasy was still everywhere apparent, yet here and there were those who had steadfastly refused to bow the knee to Baal. As Elisha continued his work of reform, many were reclaimed from heathenism, and these learned to rejoice in the service of the true God. The prophet was cheered by these miracles of divine grace, and he was inspired with a great longing to reach all who were honest in heart. Wherever he was he endeavored to be a teacher of righteousness.” {PK 259.2}

Many SDA’s are unaware of the heathenism the church is imbibing by its ecumenical liaison with the fallen churches and other abominations for which we are to sigh and cry as a condition of being sealed by the Man in Linen.

“Men of Influence to Accept Light—There needs to be a waking up among God’s people, that His work may be carried forward with power. We need the baptism of the Holy Spirit. We need to understand that God will add to the ranks of His people men of ability and influence, who are to act their part in warning the world. Not all in the world are lawless and sinful. God has many thousands who have not bowed the knee to Baal. There are God-fearing men in the fallen churches. If this were not so, we should not be given the message to bear, “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen.... Come out of her, my people.” {PM 398.2}

The Prophesied Fate of the SDA Church Militant Proving That The Good Leave the Bad Just as was the Case in the Prefigure of Apostate Israel

Begin at My Sanctuary -- "Here we see that the church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men [leaders], those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus 'Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211.

"Jesus sends HIS PEOPLE a message of warning to prepare them for his coming. To the prophet John was made known the closing work in the great plan of man's redemption. He beheld an angel flying 'in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him for the hour of his Judgment is come and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters [Rev. 14:6, 7.].

The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message, symbolizes a class of faithful men, who, obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth. This message was not to be committed to the religious leaders of the people. They had failed to preserve their connection with God, and had REFUSED THE LIGHT FROM HEAVEN therefore they WERE NOT of the number described by the apostle Paul: 'But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day we are not of the night nor of darkness' [1 Thess. 5:4, 5].

The watchmen upon the walls of Zion should be the first to catch the tidings of the Saviour's advent, the first to lift their voices to proclaim him near, the first to warn the people to prepare for his coming. But they were at ease, dreaming of peace and safety, while the people were asleep in their sins. Jesus saw HIS CHURCH, like the barren fig-tree, covered with pretentious leaves, yet destitute of precious fruit. There was a boastful observance of the forms of religion, while the spirit of true humility, penitence and faith--which alone could render the service acceptable to God--was lacking. Instead of the graces of the Spirit, there were manifested pride, formalism, vainglory, selfishness, oppression. A BACKSLIDING CHURCH closed their eyes to the signs of the times. God did nor forsake them, or suffer his faithfulness to fail but they departed from him, and SEPARATED THEMSELVES from his love. As they REFUSED TO COMPLY WITH THE CONDITIONS, his promises were NOT FULFILLED to them." E.G. Wake up friend and face the irrefutable pure truth—that Ezekiel 9 would never begin at His church, His Sanctuary, THE HOUSE OF JACOB, those who were privileged with great light, if the bad leave that once church which like the Jewish church has become the Synagogue of Satan!

The only option to remaining resistant to this pure, unvarnished truth, is the Ezekiel 9 slaughter of men, maidens and little children, and loss of eternal life. Is fraternal fellowship at a world class brothel worth that friend? And if you think this is a harsh judgment, read Ezekiel 5 which will tell you why God labels “Jerusalem” (now spiritual Jerusalem, the apostate SDA church), as worse than any other nation (church).
