Ellen
White’s Reapplication
of
the 42 Months of Revelation 13
to
the End-time
Some,
like Vance Ferrell, and a man by the name of Michaels, have adamantly and
erroneously taught that all time prophesies ended in 1844, because Ellen White
said that prophetic time (day for a year) time ended then. Such persons are
proven totally wrong by the following statements by Ellen White, which reapply
the 42 months of Revelation 13:1-5.
I, personally, have sustained much criticism over the decades for prophesying in 1986 that God showed me the 42 months of Revelation 13 would be literally fulfilled at the end-time. Now, about three decades later from the time of my first prophesy on Revelation 13:1-5, we have solid proof from Ellen White that I was correct:
“In the last
days Satan will appear as an angel
of light, with great power and heavenly glory, and claim to be the Lord of the
whole earth. He will declare that the Sabbath has been changed from the seventh
to the first day of the week; and as lord of the first day of the week he will
present this spurious sabbath as a test of loyalty to him. Then will take
place the final fulfillment of the Revelator’s prophecy. [Revelation 13:4-18,
quoted.]” {19MR 282.1}
As
well, there is no doubt about the future context of the following statement:
“The remnant people of God are to
endure [future] persecutions. “And
the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of
her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus
Christ.” They are to give the warning message against the power represented by
“the beast.” The prophet says of this power, which represents the Papacy: “There was given unto him a mouth speaking great things
and blasphemies; and power was given
unto him to continue forty and two months [Rev 13:5]. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to
blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints,
and to overcome them; and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues,
and nations. And all that dwell upon
the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of
the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” The remnant church of
God are to give the warning of the third angel to the world: “If any man worship
the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out
without mixture into the cup of his indignation.” {ST June 18, 1894, par. 10}
