The Inherence of Another Coming Out in Ezekiel 9, and Unpardonable Sin

Dear Reader,

 

The following panorama of truth concerning Ellen White’s designation of the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D., as a prefigure, and the future literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, was shown to me in vision in 1986.  Prior to that time, this truth was never before seen by any person, Seventh-day Adventist, or otherwise, as far as this writer knows.  This is state of the art present truth for God’s people at this time.

 

There is a built-in inherent “coming out” of a saved remnant within the chapter of Ezekiel 9 itself.  Adam Clarke’s Bible Commentary, one which SDA pioneers often quoted, including Ellen White herself, makes the following introduction to the chapter of Ezekiel 9:

 

“The vision in this chapter seems intended to denote the general destruction of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, excepting a few pious individuals what were distressed at the abominations that were committed in the land; who, in order to be delivered from the general calamity, were MARKED, in allusion, perhaps, to the custom of eastern princes, who marked their servants in the forehead, or rather to the custom very frequent among the Pagan princes, who marked their servants in the forehead, or rather to the custom very frequent among the Pagan worshippers, of indelibly imprinting on different parts of their body the marks of their idols.  To indicate, likewise, that God was soon to forsake the temple, the shechinah [Shekinah], or glorious symbol of his presence, is seen to remove from the inner sanctuary to the threshold or door of the temple, 1-7.  The prophet intercedes for his people; but God, on account of the greatness of their sins, will not be entreated, 8-11.” Clarke’s Commentary, Vol. 4, p. 444, 445.

 

·      A general destruction of the city is implied.

·      Jerusalem is used to symbolize the church, the temple, where the shechinah or glorious symbol of God’s presence once was.

·      Verse 3 says that the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon He was, to the threshold of the house (Temple).  Thus God departed from the sacred area of His presence in the Temple.

·      Ezekiel interceded for the people, but as in Jeremiah 11:9-15, God refuses to be entreated because of the gravity of the sins involved.  This refusal to be entreated connotes unpardonable sin, as does the sins mentioned in Jeremiah 11:9-15.

·      Josephus, an eye-witness to the destruction of Jerusalem, said that the Romans began at the Temple and then moved to the city proper.  All was destroyed.

·      Since a general destruction is employed, it is paramount that any survivors would have had to make a prior escape.

·      The last fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 was in A.D. 70.  A faithful remnant escaped to the mountains of Pella, in the land of Peraea.

 

Adam Clarke on Ezekiel 5

 

9 And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations.  Ezekiel 5:9.

 

Adam Clarke’s Commentary on Ezekiel 5:9

“Verse 9. I will do in thee that which I have not done]  The destruction of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar was one of the greatest calamities that ever fell on any nation or place before; and that by the Romans under Titus exceeded all that has taken place since.  These two sackages of that city have no parallel in the history of mankind.”

 

My purpose above is to demonstrate that the destruction of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar was primary only in that it was the first and  worst calamity upon man of that magnitude up to that time, but the ensuing destruction by Titus in A.D. 70, was the worst debacle to befall any nation or place, exceeding Nebuchadnezzar’s destruction.  So in terms of severity, the last destruction of Jerusalem was primary, because it exceeded Nebuchadnezzars’s destruction in severity, and  Ellen White called that worst destruction a prefigure of one to occur in the future, after the close of probation. 

 

Another purpose is to prove that Ezekiel 5, applies to the end-time as well, because the worst thing God has ever done or ever will do (verse 9) was neither the destruction of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar nor by Titus, but is yet to come.

 

Even another prime purpose is to demonstrate that there was a coming out of a remnant from A.D. 27-A.D. 66, that fled Jerusalem 3 ½ years before its destruction in A.D. 70.  So for Ellen White to say in The Great Controversy, p. 25, that the destruction of Jerusalem was a prefigure, symbolizing the destruction of  the world, but beginning at God’s Church, His Sanctuary, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211, is the very same thing as saying forthrightly that there is to be another coming out of spiritual Jerusalem, the professing Seventh-day Adventist church. 

 

Nothing could be more clear to follow than Christ’s response to the apostasy of His first “chosen,” commandment-keeping people in the prefigure of ancient Jerusalem, when it comes to KNOWING FOR SURE that there is another coming out inherent in any future fulfillment of Ezekiel 9.  Nothing could be more safe to follow than a prefigure example of Christ and all true Christians in that prefigure.

 

The destruction of Jerusalem under Titus exceeded all that has taken place since the destruction of Nebuchadnezzar.  But that is not the worst thing God has ever done or will ever do.  Obviously, as His “strange act,” the destruction of the world at the end-time, is the worst thing God will have ever done before or will ever do,

 

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

 

It is important that we remember the following points of the above preface to Ezekiel 9:

 

Ellen White on Ezekiel 9 and Another Literal Fulfillment

 

"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling will YOU hear? Will YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley, September 26, 1909.)" E. G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260.

 

·      Ezekiel 9 occurs in reference to Jerusalem, now spiritual Jerusalem, the city that represents the chosen people of God, as opposed to Babylon, which is the city the Bible uses to connote Satan’s kingdom.

·      Ellen White makes it clear that she refers to Seventh-day Adventists, those who have such great and important truths revealed to them.

·      She indicts them as refusing to bring these truths into their individual experience.

·      Her message in the quote was delivered to SDA churches in Oakland and Berkeley, California, September 26, 1909.

 

The Hearsay Lida Scott Statement That Would Make Ellen White a Self-Contradictory False Prophet if it is True

 

What follows is a statement by Ellen White which SDA leaders and laity use in an attempt to convince professing Seventh-day Adventists that there will NEVER, under and conditional circumstances, be another coming out of their church.  The statement was supposedly made by Willie White, to E.E. Andross, in 1915, the same year Ellen White died:

 

I TOLD HER [MRS. LIDA SCOTT] HOW MOTHER REGARDED THE EXPERIENCE OF THE REMNANT CHURCH, AND OF HER POSITIVE TEACHING THAT GOD WOULD NOT PERMIT THIS DENOMINATION TO SO FULLY APOSTATIZE THAT THERE WOULD BE THE COMING OUT OF ANOTHER CHURCH.--W. C. White to E. E. Andross, May 23, 1915, White Estate Correspondence File. {LDE 56.4}

 

Interpretation of the Lida Scott Statement

 

We must remember that the statement is hear-say.  But let’s operate from the premise that it is true. The Lida Scott statement may be interpreted so that there is not the least contradictory aspect to it.  How?  Why?  Because there never is supposed to be “another church.”  Ellen White made it clear that the name Seventh-day Adventist is to be held out to the close of time.  However, the fleeing escape of a faithful remnant of the church before SDA sanctuaries around the world are destroyed, does not constitute another church.

 

The above is the preferred interpretation since Ellen White instructed us to interpret all data so that nothing contradicts and then we can know that we are not in error[RB1] . 

 

Suffice it to say that there is not one statement by Ellen White herself, that there will not be another coming out, and that if such a statement existed, she would be a self-contradictory false prophet, who would also contradict God’s word in Ezekiel chapters 5, 9, and 22:17-31, wherein the latter passage says that the bad (dross—tares—refuse) is gathered into the midsts of Jerusalem (the church) for burning and melting.

 

Yet there is a statement by Ellen White expressing the hope that there would not be the need of another coming out! 

“I was confirmed in all I had stated in Minneapolis, that a reformation must go through the churches. Reforms must be made, for spiritual weakness and blindness were upon the people who had been blessed with great light and precious opportunities and privileges. As reformers they had come out of the denominational churches, but they now act a part similar to that which the churches acted. We hoped that there would not be the necessity for another coming out.  While we will endeavor to keep the "unity of the Spirit" in the bonds of peace, we will not with pen or voice cease to protest against bigotry.—EGW The 1888 Materials, p. 356.4.

 

“The present showing is sufficient to prove to all who have the true missionary spirit that the regular lines [organization] may prove to be a failure.”  E.G. White, Spaulding-Magan Collection, p. 175.  Written to Brother Daniels, June 28, 1901.

 

Wrong Interpretation of the Lida Scott Statements Makes Ellen White a Self-Contradictory False Prophet

 

It is profound to realize that SDA leaders and laity are interpreting the Lida Scott statement to mean that there will never be another coming out of the SDA church militant, under any circumstances!  That is a most unfortunate, erroneous conclusion, for they thus make Ellen White a self-contradictory false prophet.  How?  Why?  Because her statements that the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70 was a prefigure, and that Ezekiel 9 has another fulfillment BEGINNING AT His Church, His Sanctuary, and  the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, demands another coming out of a faithful remnant that will escape the general destruction of the SDA church militant.

 

 

Begin at My Sanctuary -- "Here we see that the church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus 'Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211.           

 

Another Lying Contradiction by SDA Leaders and Laity

 

As though the errant interpretation of the Lida Scott statement was not enough, SDA leaders and laity embarrass themselves further by not discerning the only logical conclusion to another statement by Ellen G. White—that the destruction of Jerusalem, A.D. 70, a direct fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, was a prefigure of the terrors of the last great day[RB2] .  Then she says in Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 211, that Ezekiel 9 begins at His church, His Sanctuary.  Here are the statements:

The future was mercifully veiled from the disciples. Had they at that time fully comprehend the two awful facts--the Redeemer's sufferings and death, and the destruction of their city and temple--they would have been overwhelmed with horror. Christ presented before them an outline of the prominent events to take place before the close of time. His words were not then fully understood; but their meaning was to be unfolded as His people should need the instruction therein given. The prophecy which He uttered was twofold in its meaning; while foreshadowing the destruction of Jerusalem, it prefigured also the terrors of the last great day.

Jesus declared to the listening disciples the judgments that were to fall upon apostate Israel, and especially the retributive vengeance that would come upon them for their rejection and crucifixion of the Messiah. Unmistakable signs would precede the awful climax. The dreaded hour would come

suddenly and swiftly. And the Saviour warned His followers: "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains." Matthew 24:15, 16; Luke 21:20, 21. When the idolatrous standards of the Romans should be set up in the holy ground, which extended some furlongs outside the city walls, then the followers of Christ were to find safety in flight. When the warning sign should be seen, those who would escape must make no delay. Throughout the land of Judea, as well as in Jerusalem itself, the signal for flight must be immediately obeyed. He who chanced to be upon the housetop must not go down into his house, even to save his most valued treasures. Those who were working in the fields or vineyards must not take time to return for the outer garment laid aside while they should be toiling in the heat of the day. They must not hesitate a moment, lest they be involved in the general destruction.  The Great Controversy, p. 25, 26.

Jews Flee Jerusalem in A.D. 66

 

“In the autumn of A.D. 66, Cestius next concentrated his entire force upon Jerusalem.  He arrived during the celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles, and although it was Sabbath, the Jews abandoned their religious rites and rushed out to attack Cestius’ troops.  To the amazement of both Romans and Jews, they broke the Roman ranks.  Indeed, Josephus declares that only a flank attack by a force of footmen and cavalry saved Cestius’ forces.  More than 500 Roman soldiers were killed whereas the Jews lost only 22 men (War ii. 198, 2 [519]).  At this point Agrippa sent an embassy to the Jews; their reaction was to attack his representatives, killing one and wounding the other.  Encouraged by a promise of the royalist party in Jerusalem to open the gates for him, Cestius then gathered his troops to a fresh assault, and penetrated as far as the north wall of the Temple.  Then an astounding thing happened: Cestius withdrew his troops, and placed himself strategically in such a poor position among the Judean hills that the Jews were able to attack him and kill more than 5,000 infantry and nearly 500 cavalry, including many officers, as well as to capture much materiel. 

 

A Lull in the Storm.—The defeat and withdrawal of Cestius gave many of the conservative Jews a chance to flee from Jerusalem.  Some of them joined Agrippa, others sought quiet in country places, and still others left the country entirely.  It was at this time that the Christians in Jerusalem fled in accordance with the warning of Jesus recorded in Matt. 24:15-19.  According to Eusebius, the 4th-century historian, the Christians in Jerusalem had been warned by prophets before the war began that they should leave the doomed city and find refuge at Pella in Peraea.  They now took this opportunity to make good their escape (Ecclesiastical History iii. 5, 3).” SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 5, 74, 75.

 

Ellen White’s Parallel With Fleeing Jerusalem

 

Ellen White’s parallel of the Sunday Law with the time of the Roman armies as being a sign of impending destruction of Jerusalem, has NOTHING to do with the time to leave an apostate church.  I will elaborate further below.

 

“By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. {5T 451.1}

 

     “As the approach of the Roman armies was a sign to the disciples of the impending destruction of Jerusalem, so may this apostasy be a sign to us that the limit of God's forbearance is reached, that the measure of our nation's iniquity is full, and that the angel of mercy is about to take her flight, never to return. The people of God will then be plunged into those scenes of affliction and distress which prophets have described as the time of Jacob's trouble. The cries of the faithful, persecuted ones ascend to heaven. And as the blood of Abel cried from the ground, there are voices also crying to God from martyrs' graves, from the sepulchers of the sea, from mountain caverns, from convent vaults: "How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost Thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?" {5T 451.2}

 

“It is no time now for God's people to be fixing their affections or laying up their treasure in the world. The time is not far distant, when, like the early disciples, we shall be forced to seek a refuge in desolate and solitary places. As the siege of Jerusalem by the Roman armies was the signal for flight to the Judean Christians, so the assumption of power on the part of our nation in the decree enforcing the papal sabbath will be a warning to us. It will then be time to leave the large cities,

preparatory to leaving the smaller ones for retired homes in secluded places among the mountains. And now, instead of seeking expensive dwellings here, we should be preparing to move to a better country, even a heavenly. Instead of spending our means in self-gratification, we should be studying to economize.” Testimonies, Vol. 5, 464-5.

 

Many SDA’s erroneously deduce from the above statements and especially from the one below, that the National Sunday Law is the time to leave the apostate SDA church militant.  I will demonstrate the utter absurdity of that position, but first the statement this absurdity is drawn from:

 

“There are precious ones now hidden who have not bowed the knee to Baal. They have not had the light which has been shining in a concentrated blaze upon you [SDA’s]. But it may be under a rough and uninviting exterior the pure brightness of a genuine Christian character will be revealed. In the day time we look toward heaven but do not see the stars. They are there, fixed in the firmament, but the eye cannot distinguish them. In the night we behold their genuine luster. {5T 80.1}

 

     The time is not far distant when the test will come to every soul. The mark of the beast will be urged upon us. Those who have step by step yielded to worldly demands and conformed to worldly customs will not find it a hard matter to yield to the powers that be, rather than subject themselves to derision, insult, threatened imprisonment, and death. The contest is between the commandments of God and the commandments of men. In this time the gold will be separated from the dross in the church. True godliness will be clearly distinguished from the appearance and tinsel of it. Many a star that we have admired for its brilliancy will then go out in darkness. Chaff like a cloud will be borne away on the wind, even from places where we see only floors of rich wheat. All who assume the ornaments of the sanctuary, but are not clothed with Christ's righteousness, will appear in the shame of their own nakedness. {5T 81.1}

 

     When trees without fruit are cut down as cumberers of the ground, when multitudes of false brethren are distinguished from the true, then the hidden ones will be revealed to view, and with hosannas range under the banner of Christ. Those who have been timid and self-distrustful will declare themselves openly for Christ and His truth. The most weak and hesitating in the church will be as David--willing to do and dare. The deeper the night for God's people, the more brilliant the stars. Satan will sorely harass the faithful;” Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 81.

 

Let’s analyze the above statement thoroughly:

·      In the first paragraph, she sets the thesis of whom she is speaking about—the faithful in all churches who have not had the concentrated blaze of light shining upon them that Seventh-day Adventists have had. 

·      In the second paragraph, she is speaking of the time that the great test will come upon every soul, the time of the National Sunday Law. “In this time the gold will be separated from the dross in the church.”  This is the time when the wheat are separated from the tares in all churches.  This does not address the issue of apostasy in the SDA church to the point that the bride would be defiled with fallen women (churches) by ecumenical linkage with Babylon.

·      Revelation 14:1-4, says that the bride is not defiled with women (fallen churches).

·      Even though tares will dwell together with wheat in ALL churches, even home churches, until the harvest, Ellen White defines tares as insincere believers who motives we would have to impugn in order to remove them.  That is not so with open sinning thorns.  The beloved bride of Christ cannot be defiled with open sinners and it is open sin for the church to unite with Babylon by way Association, Counsel, Girding and/or Confederacy in any way for we are told: "Any connection with infidels and UNBELIEVERS which would identify us with them is FORBIDDEN by the word. We are to come out from them and be separate. in no case are we to link ourselves with them in their plans or work." E. G. White, Fundamentals of Christian Education, 482.

·      Ellen White’s above statement is based on Isaiah 8:9-13.

·      So Ellen White’s Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 81 statement is speaking about the separation of the wheat from the tares in ALL churches, and not a proper response to the eventuality of defiling Omega Apostasy of the SDA church before that separation of the wheat from the tares; before the harvest.

·      The gist of my all important point is this friend, Jeremiah 11:9-15 occurred a long time before the end-time harvest!  The coming out from OPEN SINNING APOSTATE ISRAEL Christ conducted from A.D. 27-66, was a long time before the end-time harvest separating the wheat from the tares!  The Reformation coming out from OPEN SINNING Catholicism was a long time before the end-time harvest separation of the wheat from that tares.  The 1844 coming out of the bride (Philadelphia) from the OPENLY SINNING fallen churches was a long time before the final separation of the wheat and tares.

 

Because of the words: “In this time the gold will be separated from the dross in the church,” many SDA reformer types believe that [the time of the National Sunday law] is the time to leave the apostate SDA church.  That is not entirely true.  That will be the final time for all new converts to the church who have not known of the apostasy of the SDA church to leave.  But the bride of Christ, the 144,000 who are not defiled with women, would indeed be so defiled if they willfully, knowingly, remained in any church that is linked to Babylon in any way, and which has gone to Babylon in search of the Holy Spirit and/or regards the Celebration movement as inspired by the Holy Spirit.  The bride would then commit strictly forbidden, unpardonable sin, and it would be IMPOSSIBLE for her to get on the pathway to heaven again, Word to the Little Flock, p. 14[RB3] .

 

However, we are responsible for the knowledge of truth when we learn it, and the bride of Christ is not defiled with women (Rev. 14:1-4).  The church is defiled with women via ecumenical liaison with Babylon and going to Babylon to learn the Celebration mode of worship, which is “strange fire” offered unto the Lord.  In Scripture, anyone who offered strange fire was killed.  That means that such offering is unpardonable sin.  Those who were so killed were not resurrected and given another chance!

 

I am fully warning you fellow Seventh-day Adventists, if you imbibe the strange fire of supporting a church that is linked to Babylon ecumenically, and by going to Babylon to learn its “strange fire” mode of Celebration worship, you are in violation of the first and second angel’s messages and Ellen White says in Word to the Little Flock, p. 14, that all who stray from the Midnight Cry lighted path will find it IMPOSSIBLE to get on the path again.  The Midnight Cry gave power to the second angel’s message said Ellen White.  What was the Midnight Cry? 

 

Mat 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

 

The relevance of Mattew 25:6 (above) to Revelation 18:1, 2, is apparent.

 

Revelation 18

 

1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. 4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities

 

Did Christ Separate the Wheat From the Chaff When the Chaff Became Open Sinners?

 

"'Whose fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly purge His floor, and gather His wheat into the garner.' [Matt. 3:12]. This was one of the times of purging. By the words of truth, the chaff was being separated from the wheat. Because they were too vain and self-righteous to receive reproof, too world-loving to accept a life of humility, many turned away from Jesus. Many are still doing the same thing. Souls are tested today as were those disciples in the synagogue at Capernaum. When truth is brought home to the heart, they see that their lives are not in accordance with the will of God. They see the need of an entire change in themselves but they are not willing to take up the self-denying work. Therefore they are angry when their sins are discovered. They go away offended, even as the disciples left Jesus, murmuring. This is an hard saying who can hear it?'" Desire of Ages, 392.

 

"They [the tares in context] are of Satan's sowing, and if left unchecked, will spoil the wheat by their rank growth." E.G. White, Counsels to Parents, Teachers and Students, 189.

 

 "Thorns sprung up.--The thorns made it impossible for the wheat to mature (see Luke 8:4). In the same way secular interests prevent the fruits of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22, 23) from reaching maturity. Religion is relegated to the subordinate position of being only one interest among many. For lack of cultivation it withers and eventually dies. That which the thorny-ground hearers lack is a moral transformation (Christ's Object Lessons, p. 50). To them, justification is the sum and substance of religion, and they fail to realize that the Christian life consists essentially in the process known as sanctification--the process by which evil traits and tendencies are replaced by the perfect life-pattern of Jesus Christ."  SDA Bible Commentary,  Vol. 5, 405.

 

The above counsel was written by SDA leaders before 1957, when the SDA Bible Commentary was published and there were still a few good, stalwart men in the church who would stand for truth.  Today, they are timeservers.  Many of them do not agree with what is transpiring in the church, but they are putting in their time for retirement benefits.  That is timeserving!  Also, many of them love power more than they love Christ.  I know of many who will not stop paying tithe to the church because they have been told that they cannot hold office in the church if they do not pay tithe.  That is timeserving.  That is loving power and prestige more than obedience to God.  That is a form of idol worship of power and prestige.  Anything that replaces our allegiance to God is an idol.

 

Remember that a portion of the tithe goes to the General Conference and used to pay the Celebration style of worship whether you agree with it or not.  You thus support it.  You support church leaders who are ALL corporately responsible for being linked to Babylon via ecumenical involvement, and for it Celebration mode of worship. [RB4]  The Celebration movement finds its evolvement in Vatican II.  Rome was having trouble getting it’s folk to attend church, so is in the process of turning the church into live theatre and Satanic music entertainment.

 

What is most reprehensible about all this is the fact that the Waldensian parents so trained their children in the truth, that many of them died by being drowned by Catholic priests, right in front of their parents, because they would not admit that the communion wafer and wine is only a symbol of the body and blood of Christ rather than His actual body and blood.  Yet, our youth today won’t even attend church unless they are entertained with a copy-cat of the world’s attractions by way of music and theatrical productions.  This is one of the prime abominations for which we should be sighing and crying and all who will not do so will not receive the mark (seal) of God.  Rather, they will be marked for eternal destruction, Ezekiel 9.

 

"It is IMPOSSIBLE for you to unite with those who are corrupt, and still remain pure. (II Corinthians 6:14-15 quoted). God and Christ and the heavenly host would have men know that if he unites with the corrupt he will become corrupt." E. G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 4, p. 137.

 

Unpardonable Sin—Time to Leave

 

God and Ellen White teach exactly when apostasy has reached the point that we should withdraw from and fear and shun all who imbibe such apostasy.  The following statement is as clear as it could get:

 "They that forsake the law praise the wicked.' Proverbs 28:4. When those who are uniting with the world, yet claiming great purity, plead for union with those who have ever been the opposers of the cause of truth, we should fear and shun them as decidedly as did Nehemiah. Such counsel is prompted by the enemy of all good. It is the speech of timeservers, and should be resisted as resolutely today as them. Whatever influence would tend to unsettle the faith of God's people in His guiding power, should be steadfastly withstood." E.G. White, Prophets and Kings, p. 661.

 

·      It is praising the wicked to link in any manner with Babylon; in any way that would identify us with them.

·      It is praising the wicked to associate, take counsel and confederate with Babylon.  Ever excuse for ecumenical linkage is a plea for union with Babylon by association, counsel, girding and confederacy, in violation of Isaiah 8:9-13.

·      It is praising the wicked to give them large sums in annual membership dues.

·      It is praising the wicked to thus finance Babylon’s doctrinal errors.

·      It is praising the wicked to give a gold medallion to the pope.

·      It is praising the wicked to act so that the world praises us, for he who is the friend of the world is not a friend of God says Scripture.

·      It is a praise to the wicked to copy-cat the fallen churches’ style of Celebration worship.

·      It is praising the wicked and betrayal of sacred trust to strike a deal with the World and National Councils of Churches to not “steal sheep”

·      What was Nehemiah’s course?  He would not even talk to the apostates.

·      The timeservers say that the bride should be defiled with corporate responsibility for linkage to Babylon and its mode of Celebration worship until the Sunday Law.

 

"Those who are uniting with the world [and churches that cannot be distinguished from the world, Early Writings, 273] are receiving the worldly mold and preparing for the mark of the beast." Testimonies, vol. 5, 216."

 

More of God’s Evidence as to When to Leave Apostasy

 

God tells us through Jeremiah exactly when to leave and why.  Jeremiah 11:9-15 could not be more clear, yet many professing Seventh-day Adventists seem to think that neither God or Ellen White gave us light on this issue.  Maybe it did take other messengers to point out this clear light.

 

There was gross apostasy in the days of Jeremiah, so great indeed, that God gave the Jews of that generation a bill of divorce from being the candidate called and chosen to be His bride.

 

 "The recreant priests added licentiousness to the dark catalogue of their crimes yet they still polluted by their presence the tabernacle of the Lord, and, laden with sin, dared to come into the presence of a holy God. As the men of Israel witnessed the corrupt course of the priests, they thought it safer for their families not to come up to the appointed place of worship. Many went from Shiloh with their peace disturbed, their indignation aroused, until they at last determined to offer their sacrifices themselves, concluding that this would be fully as acceptable to God, as to sanction in any manner the abominations practiced in the Sanctuary." E.G. White, The Signs of the Times, vol. 1, p. 264, col. 3, December 1, 1881.

 

Why did the Jews worship away from the appointed place of worship?

 

·      Because of a dark catalogue of corrupt crimes including licentiousness with which they polluted the tabernacle.

·      As the men of Israel witnessed the corrupt course of the priests, they thought it safer for their families not to come up to the appointed place of worship.

·      Many went from Shiloh with their peace disturbed, their indignation aroused, until they at last determined to offer their sacrifices themselves, concluding that this would be fully as acceptable to God, as to sanction in any manner the abominations practiced in the Sanctuary.

·      The same state of affairs now exists in the SDA church, but if such spiritual and secular crimes are mentioned, it is immediately pronounced accusing the brethren.

·      All of the above are God ordained reasons to separate as did the faithful Jews. 

 

Is it accusing the brethren when we follow this instruction from God and the Holy Spirit?

 

Isa 58:1

Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

 

  The Chapter That Defines Our Work.--The whole of the fifty-eighth chapter of Isaiah is to be regarded as a message for this time, to be given over and over again.--Special Testimonies, series B, no. 2, p. 5. {WM 29.1}

“So far as his opportunities extend, every one who has received the light of truth is under the same solemn and fearful responsibility as was the prophet of Israel, to whom the word of the Lord came, saying: "Son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.  When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.  Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity, but thou has delivered thy soul.”  Eze 33:7-9, The Great Controversy, pg 391. 

Most SDA's don't have anything to say when their leaders defy God and Ellen White's clear counsel, except to falsely accuse the brethren who point out how SDA leaders are going directly against Ellen White's counsel, regarding ecumenical involvement (Isa. 8:9-13), the Celebration movement (Jer. 11:15 (when they do evil they rejoice—Celebrate) and the health work:

What is the message in all the above?  The message loud and clear is that as long as you remain a member of the church, you can do anything and it is okay!

 

I asked the Lord what the faithful folk in the above description did with their tithe sacrifices.  He showed me that the faithful Jews gave their support to Jeremiah, their swift messenger.  Ellen White says that the Jews gave as much as one-fourth to one-third of their income in tithe and offerings.  Then she asked the question as to whether we should do less.  The Jews gave a second tithe and offerings.  The second tithe was to help others in need and other specified purposes.

 

When Should the Tithe be Diverted From the Regular Lines?

 

Regular lines -  “So often the same old difficulties arise and are presented in regard to disturbing the ‘regular lines.’ But God will work in some way to make His people understand that THE REGULAR LINES HAVE BECOME FULL OF IRREGULAR PRACTICES…God alone can make men understand that working on REGULAR LINES has led to IRREGULAR PRACTICES.  God alone can make men’s minds as they should be.  The time has come when we should hear les in favor of the REGULAR LINES.  If we can GET AWAY FROM THE REGULAR LINES into something which, THOUGH IRREGULAR, IS AFTER GOD’S ORDER, it may cut away something of the IRREGULAR WORKING which has led away from Bible principles.”  E.G. White, Manuscript Release, #1450, p. 3, 4, 1901.

 

“When we see the regular lines are altered and purified and refined, and the God of the heavens mold is upon the regular lines, then it is our business to establish the regular lines.”  E.G. White, Spaulding-Magan Collection, p. 162-168.

 

“The present showing is sufficient to prove to all who have the true missionary spirit that the regular lines [organization] may prove to be a failure.”  E.G. White, Spaulding-Magan Collection, p. 175.  Written to Brother Daniels, June 28, 1901.

 

“The regular lines had need to be broken as a potter’s vessel is broken, and reconstructed.” Ms. 29, 1903. pp. 1, 3 (General Manuscript, The Southern Work, undated.

 

Additional Counsel as to When to Leave Apostasy

 

Jeremiah 11:9-15, is about as straight forward as it gets when it comes to God’s instruction to separate from apostasy.

 

9 And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy [Syn. Confederacy] is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 10 They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers. 11 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them. 12 Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble. 13 For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal. 14 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble. 15 What hath my beloved [bride] to do in mine house [Sanctuary], seeing she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh [Christ] is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest [Celebrates].  Jer. 11:9-15.

 

How do professing Seventh-day Adventists parallel the above Bible description?

 

·      They began conspiring and confederating with God’s enemies back in the 1960’s.

·      They began to teach a similar Billy Graham gospel—only believe, which Ellen White defines as the Doctrine of the Nicolaitans.  That is returning to the iniquities of our forefathers, the fallen churches who rejected light in 1844.

·      They hold joint Easter sunrise services with Babylon.  How can you call people out of Babylon, when you make them feel quite alright by worshipping with them on Sunday?  That is tantamount to idol worship[RB5] . 

·      In Ezekiel 8, is listed the reasons for Ezekiel 9.  There, 25 men have their backs to the Temple, worshipping the sun, and the women pray for Tammuz, the sun goddess.  That is what Easter Sunrise worship is symbolic of.  It is a heathen custom adopted by Rome in order to make its converts to Catholicism comfortable.

·      Easter Sunrise worship on Sunday is offering strange fire to another god.

·      SDA’s went to Babylon, to learn its mode of strange fire Celebration worship.  That is to wrought lewdness with many as is joint Easter Sunrise worship.  Their prayers are as incense burned to unto Baal.

·      God says that the worst of their abominations we are not aware of, Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 211.

·      When God says not to pray for something, it is unpardonable!

·      Jeremiah 11:15 is most definitive instruction that God’s beloved bride is not to be amongst such rebels.  That is as plain a clarion call to come out as one could ever witness.

 

Have professing Seventh-day Adventists become the counterpart to the Jews as evinced by all of the above examples.  Yes indeed.  Was that counterpart directly prophesied by Ellen White?  More EXACTLY than most SDA’s would care to admit!  Notice carefully the Bible quoted in the following COUNTARPART statements:

 

COUNTERPART #1: "The Lord commanded one of his ancient servants, 'Pray not thou for this people [Jer. 7:16 and 11:14], neither lift up cry nor prayer for them neither make intercession to me for I will not hear thee.' The prophet thus describes the sins which had called forth this fearful denunciation: 'The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means and my people love to have it so and what will ye do in the end thereof?' 'From the least of them even unto the greatest of them, every one is given to covetousness and from the prophet even unto the priest, every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.' The apostles declare that this state of things will find its COUNTERPART in the last days. Many have a form of godliness, but in their daily life deny the power thereof. They have ceased to be convicted of their sins or alarmed at their state. They say in their hearts, 'The church is flourishing. Peace and spiritual prosperity are within her borders.' The words of the prophet may well apply to these self-deceivers, 'They have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them." E. G. White,  Second Advent Review and Sabbath Herald,  11-07-82.

 

COUNTERPART #2: "In the time of the Saviour, the Jews had so covered over the precious jewels of truth with the rubbish of tradition and fable, that it was impossible to distinguish the true from the false. The Saviour came to clear away the rubbish of superstition and long-cherished errors, and to set the jewels of God's word in the framework of truth. What would the Saviour do if he should come to us now as he did to the Jews? He would have to do a similar work in clearing away the rubbish of tradition and ceremony. The Jews were greatly disturbed when he did this work [As are SDAs today!]. They had lost sight of the original truth of God, but Christ brought it again to view. It is our work to free the precious truths of God from superstition and error." E.G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 2, 308. 

 

There is a modern COUNTERPART to the ancient apostate "chosen people" of God. That modern COUNTERPART is the people who claim to be the modern "chosen people" of God, the remnant, if you will.

 

Yet another call to Separate from Apostasy

 

We were admonished to never join any new movement organization.  Satan knew that, so cunningly, he came in and formed one within, AMONG, Seventh-day Adventists, and being the Laodicean sleeping virgins they certainly are, they are non the wiser.

 

 "The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A NEW ORGANIZATION would be established. Books of a new order would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the NEW MOVEMENT. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure.

WHO HAS AUTHORITY TO BEGIN SUCH A [NEW] MOVEMENT? We have our Bibles. We have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the Holy Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not repudiate everything that is not in harmony with this truth?" E.G. White, Selected Messages, vol. 1, 204-205.

 

Any true SDA reformer can give myriad examples as to how each of the above specification has and is being fulfilled.  Ellen White is describing the Omega of Apostasy.  How can we know that?  Because she stood in the way of the Alpha of Apostasy, and she would be a false prophet if she meant the Alpha, for that very reason.  She said that NOTHING would be allowed to stand in the way of the New Movement, and if she stood in its way, she would be a self-contradictory false prophet.  She stood in the way of and MET the Alpha, not the Omega.  Further, she said that the Omega of Apostasy would surely develop, waxing stronger until Jesus comes.  The context of the following statement directly concerns the Omega of Apostasy of the SDA church:

 

Wax stronger "One thing it is certain is soon to be realized, the great apostasy, which is developing and increasing and waxing stronger, and will continue to do so until the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout. We are to hold fast the first principles of our denominated faith, and go forward from strength to increased faith. Ever we are to keep the faith that has been substantiated by the Holy Spirit of God from the earlier events of our experience until the present time. We need now larger breadth, and deeper, more earnest, unwavering faith in the leadings of the Holy Spirit. If we needed the manifest proof of the Holy Spirit's power to confirm truth in the beginning, after the passing of the time, we need to-day all the evidence in the confirmation of the truth, when souls are departing from the faith and giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. There must not be any languishing of soul now." (E.G. White, Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 7, p. 57).

 

The NEW MOVEMENT, NEW ORGANIZATION mentioned above, as being the Omega of Apostasy [in context with the chapter it appears as part of], is indeed so powerful that "Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the NEW MOVEMENT." There is no independent ministry that is so powerful that the SDA church could not stand in its way! But the NEW MOVEMENT SDA CHURCH is so powerful that no independent ministry will ever stand in the way of its apostasy, until it is destroyed by another literal manifestation of Ezekiel 9, according to Ellen White.

We were never to join ANY NEW MOVEMENT, and so Satan formed one within in a Trojan horse manner, and the sleeping virgins are non-the-wiser! The fact is, of course, that we cannot join ANY NEW MOVEMENT, even one that now comprises the professing Seventh-day Adventist Church. God can no longer use such a church.

 

"He will take his Holy Spirit from the church and Give it to OTHERS who will appreciate it." E. G. White, Review and Herald, July 16, 1895, Vol. 3, 272.

 

Even More Instruction as to When to Leave!

 

In 1844, folk were given 8-12 weeks to receive or reject the Midnight Cry and the first and second angel’s messages.  All who did not come out of Babylon and STAY OUT, received a shut door.  Ellen White never renounced that aspect of her shut-door vision.  The SDA church has violated that light by joining Babylon’s Associations, Councils and Confederacies.  Ellen White says in the following statement that it is IMPOSSIBLE to get back on the path again if one does this willfully, knowingly:

 

 "While praying at the family altar, the Holy Ghost fell on me, and I seemed to be rising higher and higher, far above the dark world. I turned to look for the Advent people in the world, but could not find them--when a voice said to me, 'Look again, and look a little higher.' At this I raised my eyes and saw a straight and narrow path cast up high above the world. On this path the Advent people were traveling to the City, which was at the farther end of the path. They had a bright light set up behind them at the first end of the path, which an angel told me was the Midnight Cry. This light shone all along the path, and gave light for their feet so they might not stumble. And if they kept their eyes fixed on Jesus, who was just before them, leading them to the City, they were safe. But soon some grew weary, and they said the City was a great way of, and they expected to have entered it before. Then Jesus would encourage them by raising his glorious right arm, and from his arm came a glorious light which waved over the Advent band, and they shouted Hallelujah! Others rashly denied the light behind them, and said that it was not God that had led them out so far. The light behind them went out leaving their feet in perfect darkness, and they stumbled and got their eyes off the mark and lost sight of Jesus, and fell off the path down in the dark and wicked world below. It was just as impossible for them to get on the path again and go to the City, as all the wicked world which God had rejected. They fell all the way along the path one after another, until we heard the voice of God like many waters, which gave us the day and hour of Jesus' coming....

By this time the 144,000 were all sealed and perfectly united. On their foreheads was written, God, New Jerusalem, and a glorious Star containing Jesus' new name." E.G. White, Word to the Little Flock, p. 14.

 

OUR COMMENTARY: The Midnight Cry of Matthew 25, called people out of the fallen churches. All who ever hear and understand the Midnight Cry, and thereafter take their eyes off the path lighted by that cry, by re-joining the fallen churches they were called out of by membership or confederacy in ASSOCIATION, COUNSEL ANDOR COUNCIL, GIRDING, OR LINKING WITH THEM IN ANY WAY WHICH WOULD IDENTIFY US WITH THEM, FALL OFF THE PATH AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM TO GET ON THE PATH AGAIN, WHICH IMPLIES SHUT DOOR UNPARDONABLE SIN! God's Word implies the same unpardonableness for such offense in Isaiah 8:9-20, and Revelation 14:9, 10. This is what Ellen White really meant by "shut door!" Those who have committed this unpardonable sin have grossly perverted her meaning. This is a most serious consideration every SDA should weigh heavily before he/she determines to enter ecumenical relationship with and/or join any of the fallen churches.

 

Summary--End-time Judgment Begins at the House of God

 

Ellen White said that the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70, prefigured the terrors of the last great day of God’s judgment of the world.  But where does God and Ellen White say that judgment will begin?

 

1Pe 4:17 For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God?

 

Chap. 24 - The Seal of God  Testimonies, Vol. 5, 207 and 211:

 

     "He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand." {5T 207.2}

     And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side; and the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house." {5T 207.3}

     Jesus is about to leave the mercy seat of the heavenly

sanctuary to put on garments of vengeance and pour out His wrath in judgments upon those who have not responded to the light God has given them. "Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil." Instead of being softened by the patience and long forbearance that the Lord has exercised toward them, those who fear not God and love not the truth strengthen their hearts in their evil course. But there are limits even to the forbearance of God, and many are exceeding these boundaries. They have overrun the limits of grace, and therefore God must interfere and vindicate His own honor. {5T 207.4}

 

Begin at My Sanctuary -- "Here we see that the church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus 'Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211.

 

The Daughter of Zion Versus Zion, the True Remnant

 

Zion is the pure (virgin—bethulah—Isa. 62:5) bride of Jesus Christ.  She is a strictly pure virgins, whereas her daughters (verse 11) are the formally organized fallen church militants and I do mean all of them.  In Isaiah 4:1-4, they (seven women designating all formally organized churches) are doing their own thing at the end-time.  But there is a beloved and pure remnant bride of Jesus Christ, is constitutes the church triumphant in contrast to the various church militants (co-ed wheat and tare churches).  This bride must come out of all fallen churches for God says that it is impossible for the wheat to mature amongst open sinning tares.

 

The following statement is taken from Ellen White’s chapter on Ezekiel 9 in Testimonies, Vol. 5, pp. 207 and on.  This statement verifies that there is a little company standing in the light who are sighing and crying for the MEMBERS of the church because the MEMBERS are doing after the manner of the world.  Were the little company MEMBERS, they would be doing after the manner of the world also, because Ellen White expressly says that the MEMBERS of the church are doing after the manner of the world.

 

"The leaven if godliness has not entirely lost its power. At the time when the danger and depression of the church are greatest, the little company who are standing in the light will be sighing and crying for the abominations that are done in the land. But MORE ESPECIALLY will their prayers arise in behalf of the church because ITS MEMBERS are doing after the manner of the world." Testimonies, Vol. 5, 209, 210.

 

Many Seventh-day Adventist true reformers sense that there is an inordinate resemblance between Rome and Seventh-day Adventists today in all too many areas.  Scripture confirms the attitudinal parallel between Rome and the SDA church.  Is it positively amazing that they both think they sit as a queen and shall see no sorrow no matter what they do by way of apostasy and disobedience to God’s Word?

The daughter of Zion seemed in her pride to say, I sit a queen and shall see no sorrow; as lovely then, and deeming herself as secure in Heaven's favor, as when, ages before, the royal minstrel sang: "Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, . . . the city of the great King.”  The Great Controversy, p. 17.

Like Mother Rome—Like Daughter of Zion

Rev 18:7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

It is no coincidence that Ellen White opens the very first chapter of The Great Controversy, with the following words relating Luke 19:42-44, with Ezekiel 9, as they both relate to the destruction of Jerusalem.  This is an updating of Ezekiel 9 to end-time relevance.

"If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, and shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation." Luke 19:42-44.

Dr. Luke was merely recounting the prophesy of Ezekiel chapters 5 and 9.  Conversely, Matthew 24:21 coincides with Ezekiel 5:9.  Ezekiel 5:9 updates Ezekiel’s prophesies to the end-time, for it is then that God does His strange act—the worst thing that He ever did or will ever do.

Eze 5:9 And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations.

Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

More Evidence of the Difference Between the Bride and Her Daughters—The Ten Virgins

“Clearly, then, the bride represents the Holy City, and the virgins that go out to meet the bridegroom are a symbol of the church. In the Revelation the people of God are said to be the guests at the marriage supper. Revelation 19:9. If guests, they cannot be represented also as the bride. Christ, as stated by the prophet Daniel, will receive from the Ancient of Days in heaven, "dominion, and glory, and a kingdom;" He will receive the New Jerusalem, the capital of His kingdom, "prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." Daniel 7:14; Revelation 21:2. Having received the kingdom, He will come in His glory, as King of kings and Lord of lords, for the redemption of His people, who are to "sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob," at His table in His kingdom (Matthew 8:11; Luke 22:30), to partake of the marriage supper of the Lamb.”  The Great Controversy, 426-7.

Yet More Distinguishing Features Between the Bride and the Ten Virgins

In the following statement, Ellen White says that the the voice of God and the voice of the bride, awaken the ten virgins, and Matthew 25 says “all those virgins slept.

Mat 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 

“Christ with His disciples is seated upon the Mount of Olives. The sun has set behind the mountains, and the heavens are curtained with the shades of evening. In full view is a dwelling house lighted up brilliantly as if for some festive scene. The light streams from the openings, and an expectant company wait around, indicating that a marriage procession is soon to appear. In many parts of the East, wedding festivities are held in the evening. The bridegroom goes forth to meet his bride and bring her to his home. By torchlight[RB6]  the bridal party proceed from her father's house to his own, where a feast is provided for the invited guests. In the scene upon which Christ looks, a company are awaiting the appearance of the bridal party[RB7] , intending to join the procession.

Lingering near the bride's house are ten young women robed in white. Each carries a lighted lamp and a small flagon for oil. All are anxiously watching for the appearance

of the bridegroom. But there is a delay. Hour after hour passes; the watchers become weary and fall asleep. At midnight the cry is heard, "Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him." The sleepers, suddenly awaking, spring to their feet. They see the procession moving on, bright with torches and glad with music. They hear the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride. The ten maidens seize their lamps and begin to trim them, in haste to go forth. But five have neglected to fill their flasks with oil. They did not anticipate so long a delay, and they have not prepared for the emergency. In distress they appeal to their wiser companions saying, "Give us of your oil; for our lamps are going out." (Margin.) But the waiting five, with their freshly trimmed lamps, have emptied their flagons. They have no oil to spare, and they answer, "Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves."  Christ’s Object Lessons, p. 405-406.

In every case, it is the bride that gives the Midnight Cry to her daughters, the ten virgin church militants.  The bride is figuratively always awake day and night as faithful watchmen on the walls of Zion.

Corroborating Evidence that Ellen White is correct in her above scenario of Christ’s Object Lessons, pp. 405-6, is found in Isaiah 62:10, 11:

Isa 62:10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people. 

Thus, you have the true reformers building up the old waste places that have been torn down by apostasy and repairing the breach made in God’s law.

 Isa 62:11 Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward [is] with him, and his work before him. 

Thus, you have Zion, the bride (verse 5) giving the awakening call to the ten-virgin daughters.

Who Calls the True Reformer Bride—Zion so That She Can Awaken the Ten-Virgins?

 

 "Characteristics of True Reformers.--Here [Isa. 8:11-14] are given the characteristics of those who shall be reformers, who will bear the banner of the third angel’s message, these who avow themselves God's commandment-keeping people, and who honor God, and are earnestly engaged, in the sight of all the universe, in building up the old waste places.  Who is it that calls them, The repairer of the breach, The restorers of paths to dwell in? It is God.  Their names are registered [written--Heb. 12:22, 23] in heaven as reformers, restorers, as raising the foundations of many generations." E. G. White, SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 4, 1151.

 

God the Father calls (selects) the bride for His Son, and in that regard, they are predestined because of their faithfulness—predestined meaning that God the Father knew their end—that they would be faithful till the end.

 

How the  Work Will be Finished

 

God wanted man to participate in giving the gospel to the world for his own good, but God is not dependent upon anyone to give the gospel to the world, as though He needs any thing. 

 

 "The Lord Jesus will always have a chosen people to serve Him. When the Jewish people rejected Christ, the Prince of life. He took from them the kingdom of God and gave it unto the Gentiles. God will continue to work on this principle with every branch of His work. When a church proves unfaithful to the work of the Lord, whatever their position may be, however high and sacred their calling, the Lord can no longer work with them. Others are then chosen to bear important responsibilities. But, if these in turn do not purify their lives from every wrong action, if they do not establish pure and holy principles in all their borders, then the Lord will grievously afflict and humble them and, unless they repent, will remove them from their place and make them a reproach.

God is not 'worshipped with men's hands, as tough he needed any thing' (Acts 17:25). E. G. White, The Upward Look, 131.

 

God will have His bride of 144,000 faithful who are undefiled by women (fallen churches):

 

The 144,000 will be the generals in God’s army of Joel 2 and 3.

 

I quoted earlier where God will take His Holy Spirit and give it to OTHERS.  Who are those others?

 

"He will take his Holy Spirit from the church and Give it to OTHERS who will appreciate it." E. G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 3, 272.

More on Others

 

A Firmament of Chosen Ones Who Have Never Heard the Name Seventh-day Adventist.--"Among earth's inhabitants, scattered in every land, there are those who have not bowed the knee to Baal. Like the stars of heaven, which appear only at night, these faithful ones will shine forth when darkness covers the earth and gross darkness the people. In heathen Africa, in the Catholic lands of Europe and of South America, in China, in India, in the islands of the sea, and in all the dark corners of the earth, God has in reserve a firmament of chosen ones that will yet shine forth amidst the darkness, revealing clearly to an apostate world the transforming power of obedience to His law. Even now they are appearing in every nation, among every tongue and people and in the hour of deepest apostasy, when Satan's supreme effort is made to cause 'all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond,' to receive, under penalty of death, the sign of allegiance to a false rest day, these faithful ones, 'blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke,' will 'shine as lights in the world.' The darker the night, the more brilliantly will they shine." E.G. White, Evangelism, 706, 707, and Prophets and Kings, pp. 188, 189.

 

There is additional evidence such as Isaiah 4:1-4, where seven women (symbolic of all formally organized churches) will be doing their own thing at the end-time.  But any who will not accept the evidence already presented would not accept more.  They will thus bind themselves right where they belong, in the midst’s of Jerusalem, the apostate church for burning, just as in the prefigure of A.D. 70.  Ezekiel 22:17-31 ultimately applies to formally organized churches at the end, but it begins at the House of God, those who have been blessed with great light, the professing Seventh-day Adventist church.

 

I will end with another of the greatest evidences of the necessity for another coming out—Ellen White’s prophesy concerning the fate of the Seventh-day Adventist church:

 

"Jesus sends  HIS PEOPLE a message of warning to prepare them for his coming. To the prophet John was made known the closing work in the great plan of man's redemption. He beheld an angel flying 'in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him for the hour of his Judgment is come and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters [Rev. 14:6, 7].

 

The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message,  symbolizes a class of faithful men, who, obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth. This message was not to be committed to the religious leaders of the people. They had failed to preserve their connection with God, and had REFUSED THE LIGHT FROM HEAVEN therefore they WERE NOT of the number described by the apostle Paul: 'But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day we are not of the night nor of darkness' [1 Thess. 5:4, 5].

 

The watchmen upon the walls of Zion should be the first to catch the tidings of the Saviour's advent, the first to lift their voices to proclaim him near, the first to warn the people to prepare for his coming. But they were at ease, dreaming of peace and safety, while the people were asleep in their sins. Jesus saw HIS CHURCH, like the barren fig-tree, covered with pretentious leaves, yet destitute of precious fruit. There was a boastful observance of the forms of religion, while the spirit of true humility, penitence and faith--which alone could render the service acceptable to God--was lacking. Instead of the graces of the Spirit, there were manifested pride, formalism, vainglory, selfishness, oppression. A BACKSLIDING CHURCH closed their eyes to the signs of the times. God did nor forsake them, or suffer his faithfulness to fail but they departed from him, and SEPARATED THEMSELVES from his love. As they  REFUSED TO COMPLY WITH THE CONDITIONS, his promises were NOT FULFILLED to them."  E.G.  [RB2]Some, looking for reasons to exclude the SDA church from the clear testimony that Judgment begins at the House of God, try to use the following Great Controversy statement to say that Ellen White meant that the prefigure of the destruction of Jerusalem applied ONLY to the world.  But always remind them that it does END with the world, but BEGINS AT HIS APOSTATE SDA CHURCH, HIS SANCTUARY.

 

“The Saviour's prophecy concerning the visitation of judgments upon Jerusalem is to have another fulfillment, of which that terrible desolation was but a faint shadow. In the fate of the chosen city we may behold the doom of a world that has rejected God's mercy and trampled upon His law. Dark are the records of human misery that earth has witnessed during its long centuries of crime. The heart sickens, and the mind grows faint in contemplation. Terrible have been the results of rejecting the authority of Heaven. But a scene yet darker is presented in the revelations of the future. The records of the past,--the long procession of tumults,

conflicts, and revolutions, the "battle of the warrior . . . with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood" (Isaiah 9:5),--what are these, in contrast with the terrors of that day when the restraining Spirit of God shall be wholly withdrawn from the wicked, no longer to hold in check the outburst of human passion and satanic wrath!  "While praying at the family altar, the Holy Ghost fell on me, and I seemed to be rising higher and higher, far above the dark world. I turned to look for the Advent people in the world, but could not find them--when a voice said to me, 'Look again, and look a little higher.' At this I raised my eyes and saw a straight and narrow path cast up high above the world. On this path the Advent people were traveling to the City, which was at the farther end of the path. They had a bright light set up behind them at the first end of the path, which an angel told me was the Midnight Cry. This light shone all along the path, and gave light for their feet so they might not stumble. It was just as impossible for them to get on the path again and go to the City, as all the wicked world which God had rejected. They fell all the way along the path one after another, until we heard the voice of God like many waters, which gave us the day and hour of Jesus' coming....
