Questions
for All Feast Keepers
I want you to know that I am only asking questions
about Col. 2:16, 17, because most feast keepers I have dialogued with treat me
as though I am not learned because of my views on the issue. One of them told
me that FLAT OUT! That may be true, but I am very sensitive as to whether or
not my questions on Colossians Chapter 2 are answered thoroughly and in a
“learned” manner. Here is my burden about the following verses:
Col 2:16 Let
no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Col 2:17
Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
QUESTIONS:
1. Yes, Adventists are well aware
that Sunday-keepers use Col. 2, as an excuse for keeping Sunday. I have
a neighbor who is Baptist, and he regularly quotes Col. 2 to me. Also, I grew
up with a neighbor who was a Baptist and he reminded me of Col. 2 since I was
12 years old.
Notwithstanding, the following HIGHLIGHTED words
are still there in the Bible. What EXACTLY do the highlighted words mean? What
EXACTLY does EVERY WORD in Col 2:16, 17, refer to?
Col 2:16 ¶ Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink,
or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of
the sabbath days:
Col
2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body
is of Christ.
3. Most of us know that there were HOLY DAYS and
SPECIAL SABBATHS, associated with the Feast day celebrations. Isn't that what
the emphasized words refer to?
4. Isaiah 8:20 gives us licence to JUDGE those who
speak not according to the TEN COMMANDMENT LAW which includes the 7th Day
WEEKLY SABBATH, as having no light. But Col. 2:16 says not to JUDGE any man
regarding a holyday or the special Sabbath days. So why do you and all feast
keepers JUDGE those who obey these verses as being delinquent and UNLEARNED?
5. Since the Feast-keepers that I have had communications
with seem to feel superior for their feast-keeping, and let me know in no
uncertain ways that I am inferior because of my stand,,
please give a LEARNED response to my questions. What do the YELLOW HIGHLIGHTED
EMPHASIZED WORDS (ABOVE) on COL. 2:16 MEAN? What do they refer to?
