Henriques’
144,000 Problems?
“The
Lord has declared that the history of the past shall be rehearsed as we enter
upon the closing work. Every truth that He has given for these last days is to
be proclaimed to the world. Every pillar that He has established is to be
strengthened. We cannot now step off the foundation that God has established. We cannot now enter into any new organization; for this would mean apostasy
from the truth.”-Notebook Leaflets, The Church, No. 1. (Written Dec. 24,
1905.) {GRC 53.2}
There was to be NO NEW ORGANIZATION after 1905. The Omega
new organization (1SM 204-205) war formed in
1955.
This manuscript is written with
the objective of solving problems that exist concerning the 144,000, and a fast
speaking preacher who has not solved these problems. Magicians use sleight of
hand to deceive their patrons. Some pastors, wittingly or not, move too fast
and thereby deceive themselves and their patrons. They do not consider ALL THE
WEIGHT OF EVIDENCE and interpret so that nothing contradicts.
It is being taught by some that
all SDA’s who died in the faith of the third angel’s message, which included
the Sabbath in 1847, are one of the 144,000. Let’s look at this teaching in the
light of all the weight of evidence, taking every word so that nothing
contradicts, as Ellen White instructed us to do in the weight of evidence
formula:
Weight of Evidence Formula: "1. Every word must have its proper bearing on the subject presented
in the Bible 2. All Scripture is necessary, and may be
understood by diligent application and study 3. Nothing revealed in Scripture
can or will be hid from those who ask in faith, not wavering 4. To understand
doctrine, bring all the scriptures together on the subject you wish to know,
then let every word have its proper influence and if you can form your theory
without a contradiction, you cannot be in error 5. Scripture must be its own
expositor, [interpreter] since it is a rule of itself. If I depend on a teacher
to expound to me, and he should guess at its meaning, or desire to have it so
on account of his sectarian creed, or to be thought wise, then his guessing,
desire, creed, or wisdom is my rule, and not the Bible." E.G. White, Second Advent Review and Herald, 11-25-84, pr. 24.
Important Considerations (Weight of Evidence) That Have
Been Overlooked
*There are guests as well as the
bride to account for.
*If all MEMBERS of the church
are corporately responsible for all the abominations, how could the 144,000
include members of the church since the 1955 antichrist apostasy, because they
did not die in the FAITH? They died in a new movement that apostatized from the
faith.
*In Great Controversy, p. 665, there are three groups:
1.
Nearest the throne
would be the bride of Christ, for she goes everywhere He goes, Him being the
head and she being His body.
2.
Then there are the
martyrs.
3.
Then the great
multitude.
*The
bride is the 144,000, because only they go into the Temple on Mt. Zion. Early
Writings, p. 19.
*What about the guests, “the
people of God” whom Ellen White says are those who comprise the church?
*What about the bride of all
ages? Faithful men of every generation? Acts of the Apostles, pp. 11, 12.
*What about Philadelphia of
circa first century, who was promised to be made pillars in the Temple. Ellen
White said that only the 144,000 enter the Temple on Mt. Zion in heaven. Early
Writings, p. 19.
*In Desire of Ages, 179, the disciples are referred to as the Bride
John got up for Christ. How do the disciples, AS PART OF THE BRIDE, come to the
marriage in 1844, which GC, p. 426 speaks of?
*How does Philadelphia of
Revelation 3, who are made pillars (the lesser priests) in the Temple, arrive
on the scene of the marriage in the summer and autumn of 1844?
From the following statement,
Andrew Henriques concludes that all who died in the faith of the third angel’s
message are one of the 144,000, because they come forth to hear God’s covenant
of peace with those who have kept His law. But this appears to contradict with The Great Controversy, pp. 426, 427,
further down, which says that the door was shut in the summer and autumn of
1844, not 1847-8, as Andrew teaches on the 144,000.
A Special Resurrection Before
Jesus Appears—Graves are opened, and “many of them that sleep in the dust of
the earth ... awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and
everlasting contempt.” Daniel 12:2. All who have died in the faith of the third angel’s message come forth
from the tomb glorified, to hear God’s covenant of peace with those who have
kept His law. “They also which pierced Him” (Revelation 1:7), those that
mocked and derided Christ’s dying agonies, and the most violent opposers of His
truth and His people, are raised to behold Him in His glory and to see the
honor placed upon the loyal and obedient. {Hvn 28.1}
·
All who have DIED IN THE FAITH of the third
angel’s message, NOT AS MEMBERS OF AN APOSTATE NEW MOVEMENT THAT REMOVED GOD IN
1955.
“In the summer and autumn of 1844
the proclamation, “Behold, the Bridegroom cometh,” was given. The two classes represented by
the wise and foolish virgins were then developed—one class who looked
with joy to the Lord’s appearing, and who had been diligently preparing to meet
Him; another class that, influenced by fear and acting from impulse, had been
satisfied with a theory of the truth, but were destitute of the grace of God.
In the parable, when the bridegroom came, “they that were ready went in
with him to the marriage.” The coming of the bridegroom, here brought to view,
takes place before the marriage. The marriage represents the reception by
Christ of His kingdom. The Holy City, the New Jerusalem, which is the capital
and representative of the kingdom, is called “the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” Said the angel to John: “Come hither, I will show thee
the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” “He carried me away in the spirit,” says the
prophet, “and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of
heaven from God.” Revelation 21:9, 10. Clearly, then, the bride represents the Holy City, and the virgins
that go out to meet the bridegroom are a symbol of the church. In the
Revelation the people of God are said to be the guests at the marriage supper.
Revelation 19:9. If
guests, they cannot be represented also as the bride. Christ, as stated
by the prophet Daniel, will receive from the Ancient of Days in heaven,
“dominion, and glory, and a kingdom;”
He will receive the New Jerusalem, the capital of His kingdom,
“prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” Daniel 7:14; Revelation 21:2. Having received the kingdom, He will come in His glory,
as King of kings and Lord of lords, for the redemption of His people, who are to “sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob,”
at His table in His kingdom (Matthew 8:11; Luke 22:30), to partake of the
marriage supper of the Lamb.” {GC 426.2-427}.
·
The wise and FOOLISH
VIRGINS were developed in 1844.
·
Ellen White says
that the state of the Laodiceans is the foolish virgin state of the church. She
says the foolish virgins were developed in the summer and autumn of 1844.
·
Matthew 25 says ALL THOSE
VIRGINS (ALL 10) slumbered and slept.
·
The voice of God and
the voice of the bride awaken the 10 virgins in both MIDNIGHT CRIES. COL, p.
405-406.
·
Philadelphia was the
part of the church that awakened the people at the first Midnight Cry in 1844.
It was addressed to a class of foolish virgin Laodiceans that had developed in
1844. (summer and autumn).
·
Abraham, Isaac and
Jacob, were faithful. Are they part of the bride of Christ? If not, why not?
How would they be on the scene of the marriage when the door was shut in 1844?
·
Ellen White said
that ALL THE SEVEN MESSAGES (Plural) APPLY TO THE END OF TIME, not just 1844.
Philadelphia is the bride because she is made pillars in the Temple on Mt.
Zion, and she gets the NEW NAME, NEW JERUSALEM.
·
"The names of the seven churches are symbolic of the church
in different periods of the Christian Era. The number indicates completeness, and is symbolic of the fact that the messages [plural] extend to
the end of time, while the symbols used reveal the condition of the church
[collectively and generally] at different periods in the history of the
world." E.G. White, The Acts of the Apostles, 585.
·
Since ALL the SEVEN
MESSAGES TO THE SEVEN CHURCHES have been in effect since
they were written and promised to Philadelphia, circa, first century, there
must be a bride from ALL AGES OF FAITHFUL MEN. AA, pp. 11, 12.

How does
Philadelphia, 1st century, arrive on the scene of the marriage in
the summer and autumn of 1844, when the door is shut?
The
proclamation, “Behold, the Bridegroom cometh,” in the summer of 1844, led thousands to expect the
immediate advent of the Lord. At the appointed time the Bridegroom came, not to
the earth, as the people expected, but to the Ancient of Days in heaven, to the marriage, the reception of
His kingdom. “They that were ready went in with Him to the marriage: and the door was shut.”
They were not to be present in person at the marriage; for it takes place in
heaven, while they are upon the earth. The followers of Christ are to “wait for
their Lord, when He will return from the wedding.” Luke 12:36. But they are to
understand His work, and to follow Him by faith as He goes in before God. It is
in this sense that they are said to go in to the marriage.” {GC 427.1}
·
In the summer and
autumn of 1844, the ancient of Days in heaven, came to the marriage, the
reception of His kingdom. “THEY THAT WERE READY WENT IN WITH HIM TO THE
MARRIAGE, AND THE DOOR WAS SHUT” IN THE SUMMER OF 1844, NOT 1847, as Andrew Henriques teaches.
·
All these “problems”
as part of the weight of evidence, Andrew Henriques, and the new movement have
not considered.
·
There is a solvency
to these “problem,” but I am submitting them for your consideration before I
present the solution in another manuscript.
"The members of the church
triumphant--the church in heaven--will be permitted to draw near to the members
of the church militant, to aid them in their necessity." E. G. White, The
Southern Watchman, Sep. 8, 1903.
The true church triumphant is
registered/written in heaven.
"Characteristics of True
Reformers.--Here are given the characteristics of those who shall be reformers,
who will bear the banner of the third angel's message, those who avow themselves
God's commandment-keeping people, and who honor God, and are earnestly engaged,
in the sight of all the universe, in building up the old waste places. Who is
it that calls them, The repairers of the breach, The restorers of paths to
dwell in? It is God. Their names are registered [written--Heb. 12:22, 23] in
heaven as reformers, restorers, as raising the foundations of many
generations." E. G. White, SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 4, 1151, &
Review and Herald, Oct. 13, 1891.
·
The church
triumphant, (TRUE WATCHMEN OF SDA’S) went into the wedding in the spring and
summer of 1844:
·
They go into the
Most Holy Place in heaven by faith: EW, 251, 255. How could MEMBERS of the new
movement, new organization be any part of the bride since 1955, since an Omega
apostasy occurred then and has been on-going since then?
“The Lord has declared that the
history of the past shall be rehearsed as we enter upon the closing work. Every
truth that He has given for these last days is to be proclaimed to the world.
Every pillar that He has established is to be strengthened. We cannot now step
off the foundation that God has established. We cannot now enter into any new organization; for this would mean apostasy
from the truth.”-Notebook Leaflets, The Church, No. 1. (Written Dec. 24,
1905.) {GRC 53.2}
I Confront Walter Veith With the Following Problem as
Well
Confidence in SDA Organization Reaffirmed in 1905
Any new organization that should
remove God (1SM 205) after 1905, would mean APOSTASY FROM THE TRUTH:
“We cannot now step off the foundation that God has established. We
cannot now enter into any new organization, for this would mean apostasy from
the truth.”—Selected Messages 2:390 (1905). {LDE 55.2}
“There could not be a more
marked apostasy from the faith and practice of the gospel than is seen in the
churches of today. Satan finds the souls of church members ready for the
introduction of his specious deceptions and false theories. Accepting his
deceptions, they lose their way in the mist and fog of skepticism,
and perish with the wicked.” {Lt76-1900.12}
Therefore, because the Bible and
the Spirit of Prophecy teach CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY for open sin in the
church, all MEMBERS are now corporately responsible for the apostasy from the
truth.
What About the Faithful Church of All Ages Before
Seventh-day Adventists Were Ever Heard of?
“The
church is God’s fortress, His city of refuge, which He holds in a revolted
world. Any betrayal of the church is treachery to Him who has bought mankind
with the blood of His only-begotten Son. From the beginning, faithful souls have constituted the
church on earth. In every age the Lord has had His watchmen, who have borne a
faithful testimony to the generation in which they lived. These
sentinels gave the message of warning; and when they were called to lay off
their armor, others took up the work. God brought these witnesses into covenant relation with Himself, uniting
the church on earth with the church in heaven. He has sent forth His angels to
minister to His church, and the gates of hell have not been able to prevail
against His people. {AA 11.2}
Through centuries of persecution, conflict,
and darkness, God has sustained His church.
Not one cloud has fallen upon it that He has not prepared for; not one opposing
force has risen to counterwork His work, that He has not foreseen. All has
taken place as He predicted. He has not left His church forsaken, but has traced in prophetic
declarations what would occur, and that which His Spirit inspired the prophets
to foretell has been brought about. All His purposes will be fulfilled. His law
is linked with His throne, and
no power of evil can destroy it. Truth is inspired and guarded by God; and it
will triumph over all opposition. {AA 11.3}
During ages of spiritual darkness the church
of God has been as a city set on a hill. From age to age, through successive
generations, the pure doctrines of heaven have been unfolding within its
borders. Enfeebled and defective as it may appear, the church is the
one object upon which God bestows in a special sense His supreme regard.
It is the theater of His grace, in which He delights to reveal His power to
transform hearts. {AA 12.1}
·
From age to age, through successive generations, the pure
doctrines of heaven have been unfolding within its borders.
·
The new movement
removed “pillar doctrines,” and substituted impure, antichrist doctrines,
apostasy.
·
Obviously, the following sentence DOES NOT AND CANNOT REFER
TO AN APOSTATE NEW MOVEMENT THAT HAS REMOVED GOD: “Enfeebled and defective as
it may appear, the church is the one object upon which God bestows in a special
sense His supreme regard.”
·
God has shown me
clearly that “enfeebled and defective, faults” AA, p. 12 etc., DO NOT INCLUDE
ANTICHRIST APOSTASY. But new movement leaders are saying this passage applies
to their new movement that has removed God. 1SM 204-205, WHICH ELLEN WHITE SAYS
WE ARE TO REPUDIATE.
·
Walter Veith and other
SDA leaders apply the “enfeebled and defective” statement to the omega of
apostasy new movement that has removed God. This is an abomination in and by
itself!
