SDA ministers and laymen are teaching on the WorldWide Internet that the church's members and leaders will individually and corporately repent. Is this teaching based on Scripture and the Spirit of Prophecy? We will prove from the below material that such a teaching is not only unscriptural but heretically contradictory of Scripture and the Spirit of Prophecy.

Ellen White says that Ezekiel 9 will be literally fulfilled in the future. Ezekiel 22:17-31, says that in the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, that the dross (the tares) is gathered into the midst of Jerusalem, the church, for melting and burning. This is what occurred in the last fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, in 70 AD. Any future LITERAL fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, will demand a similar scenario. Thus, to say that "Jerusalem," the professing SDA Church organization, will corporately repent, is to directly contradict Ezekiel 22:17-31, and Ezekiel 9. This is heretical, anti-Christ teaching, and this is a classic reason why we should not go to SDA churches to hear such "peace and safety" heresy. Here are the mentioned reference statements from the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy: Ellen White also likened the church and the world unto the field, and the tares are always burned in the field.

"The 'field,' Christ said, 'is the world.' But we must understand this as signifying the church of Christ in the world. The parable is a description of that which pertains to the kingdom of God, His work of salvation of men; and this work is accomplished through the church. True, the Holy Spirit has gone out into all the world; everywhere it is moving upon the hearts of men; but it is in the church that we are to grow and ripen for the garner of God." Christ's Object Lessons. 70.

"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled; yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling; will YOU hear? Will YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley, September 26, 1909.)" E. G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260.

The Spirit of Prophecy tells us that "just before probation closes," every uncouth thing will be brought into SDA Campmeetings. Is this indicative of corporate repentance? Can the church proceed right up to "just before the close of probation," with every uncouth thing, and still corporately repent? Absolutely not, and as we discovered from Ezekiel 22:17-31, above, the tares, the dross will be gathered together into the midst of the church for burning and melting. This is what happened in the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem in AD 70. Any literal fulfillment of this debacle will follow a similar process. If you want to know how God will fulfill His prophecy in the future, look to the typical (prefigure--type) fulfillments in the past.

"The things you have described as taking place in Indiana, the Lord has shown me would take place just before the close of probaiton. Every uncouth thing wil be demonstrated. There will be shouting, with drums, music, and dancing. The senses of rational beings will become so confused that they cannot be trusted to make right decisions. And this is called the moving of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit never reveals itself in such methods, in such a bedlam of noise. This is an invention of Satan to cover up his ingenious methods for making of none effect the pure, sincere, elevating, ennobling, sanctifying truth for this time. Better never have the worship of God blended with music, than to use musical instruments to do the work which last January was represented to me would be brought into our camp meeings. The truth for this time needs nothing of this kind in its work of converting souls. A bedlam of noise shocks the senses and perverts that which if conducted aright might be a blessing. The powers of satanic agencies blend with the din and noise, to have a carnival, and this is termed the Holy Spirit's working." E. G. White, Selected Messages, Vol. 2, 36.

Individual Repentance

It is true that some individuals will repent and escape the destruction. According to Ezekiel 5:1-4, a small remnant "taken into His skirts" will repent and be saved from the future, literal destruction of the church. That "small remnant" will "go forth out of Jerusalem," as it did before the 70 AD fulfillment of Ezekiel 9. That small remnant fled to the mountains in the land of Pella, SDA Bible Commentary, vol. 5, p. 75, to wit:

"A Lull in the Storm.-- The defeat and withdrawal of Cestius gave many of the conservative Jews a chance to flee from Jerusalem. Some of them joined Agrippa, others sought quiet in county places, and still others left the country entirely. It was at this time that the Christians in Jerusalem fled in accordance with the warning of Jesus recorded in Matt. 24:15-19. According to Eusebius, the 4th-century church historian, the Christians in Jerusalem had been warned by prophets before the war began that they should leave the doomed city and find refuge at Pella in Peraea. They now took this opportunity to make good their escape." SDA Bible Commentary, vol. 5, p. 75.

In the 70 AD fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, a remnant of individual repented, but the apostate Jewish church NEVER repented. Any future fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, would demand a similar circumstance to be faithful to the Scriptural account of Ezekiel 9. To say or allude that the SDA church will corporately repent, is to teach gross, heretical, peace and safety doctrine. False prophet SDA ministers, leaders and laity, are teaching this anti-Christ heresy. This is another reason why the faithful remnant should flee their Omega of Apostasy New Movement, Selected Messages, vol. 1, 204-5. Those who fail to flee with be destroyed per the following statement:

"Here we see that the church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, and betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus 'Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211.

Noting Will be Permitted to Stand in the Way of the Apostate New Movement Church

"The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A NEW ORGANIZATION would be established. Books of a new order would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the NEW MOVEMENT. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure.
WHO HAS AUTHORITY TO BEGIN SUCH A [NEW] MOVEMENT? We have our Bibles. We have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the Holy Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not repudiate everything that is not in harmony with this truth?" E.G. White, Selected Messages, vol. 1, 204-205.

The NEW MOVEMENT, NEW ORGANIZATION mentioned above, as being the Omega of Apostasy [in context with the chapter it appears as part of], is indeed so powerful that "Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the NEW MOVEMENT." There is no independent ministry that is so powerful that the SDA church could not stand in its way! But the NEW MOVEMENT SDA CHURCH is so powerful that no independent ministry will ever stand in the way of its apostasy, until it is destroyed by another literal manifestation of Ezekiel 9, according to Ellen White. Anything that would pave the way for a corporate repentance, would certainly stand in the way of the New Movement, and Ellen White clearly states that such a situation will not accrue.
We were never to join ANY NEW MOVEMENT, and so Satan formed one within in a Trojan horse manner, and the sleeping virgins are non-the-wiser! The fact is, of course, that we cannot join ANY NEW MOVEMENT, even one that now comprises the professing Seventh-day Adventist Church. God can no longer use such a church.

"He will take his Holy Spirit from the church and Give it to OTHERS who will appreciate it." E. G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 3, 272.

What About Ellen White's Mention of Some Who will go out From Among us?

Where the Primitive Revival "Among" God's People Occurs

"And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out. And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you fact to face. Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord God. And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant: And I will PURGE OUT FROM AMONG YOU [Zion--the escaped church triumphant in the wilderness] THE REBELS, AND THEM THAT TRANSGRESS AGAINST ME: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the Lord." Ezekiel 20:34-38.

We can see from the above statement that the primitive revival among God's people, takes place among the escaped remnant while dwelling out in the wilderness, and not from the visible "once" church militant to leave it the purged and purified church triumphant. This "wilderness" remnant church triumphant will give the last message from wilderness outposts, just as Ellen White said, and its message will cull out all the tares and open sinners from God's heavenly kingdom of Zion, Matthew 13:47-49 and Hebrews 12:22, 23.

Scripture on Who is Shaken From Whom and From Where

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind [good and bad--wheat and tares]: Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels [His garner--His barn--His heavenly kingdom--His earthly remnant church triumphant], but cast the bad away. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just., And shall cast them into the furnace of fire [IN THE MIDST OF JERUSALEM--THE OMEGA OF APOSTASY CHURCH--see Ezekiel 22:17-31 below]: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth." Matt. 13:47-49.

"But ye are come unto mount Sion [Zion], and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all and to the spirits of just men made perfect." Hebrews 12:22, 23.

Where and What the Tares are Shaken Into According to Scripture

"And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver. Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Becaause ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you. Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof. As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the Lord have poured out my fury upon you. And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that IS NOT CLEANSED, NOR RAINED UPON [LATTER RAIN] in the day of indignation. There is a conspiracy of her prophets [leaders] in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things [pure, pillar doctrines and truths of Scripture]; they have made her many widows [without her husband--because Christ has departed--been removed]in the midst thereof. Her priests [leaders] have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean [the separated holy and peculiar "chosen" and the harlot daughters of Babylon via Ecumenical fraternity], and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. Her princes [leaders] in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishones gain. And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord God, when the Lord hath not spoken. The people of the land have used oppresion, and exercised robbery and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully. And I sought for a [one] man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have sonsumed them with the fire of my wrath: ther own way have recompensed upon their heads saith the Lord God." Ezekiel 22:17-31.

All who teach that the bad are shaken out of the once SDA church militant, the "Jerusalem" of Ezekiel 9, and 22:17-31, teach in contradiction to Scripture and the Spirit of Prophecy. The think they are all right when they are all wrong. This state of deception was upon all the apostate Jews that were destroyed in the last (typical) fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 and 22:17-31, which will be literally fulfilled again according to Scripture (Ezekiel 5:9) and the Spirit of Prophecy.

Conclusion

If the SDA church corporately repents, Ezekiel 22:17-31 will have to be re-written and Ellen White was self-contradictory in saying that Ezekiel 9 will have another literal fulfillment because there would be no need for another literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 and Ezekiel 22:17-31, if the corporate SDA church "once" church militant should EVER corporately repent.
