Jerusalem Versus Babylon as the Holy Place in Which The Abomination of Desolation Will Stand

Dear Reader,

It is being taught by very ignorant, half-baked "converts" to Adventism, and lukewarm Laodicean Adventists, who are operating as false prophets whether or not they are aware of it, that Ezekiel 9 will be literally manifested on Babylon rather than Jerusalem, the church of a "chosen" people. Their blasphemous teaching implies that there is a HOLY PLACE in Babylon for the Abomination of Desolation to stand in and defile it more than it is already defiled. They teach that when Ezekiel 9 says Jerusalem, he really means Babylon. They are directly contradicting Scripture and Ellen White. If that is not a collossal and brazen example of Satanic twisting of the Word of God, I have never witnessed such!

That is one of the biggest and most serious peace and safety messages being taught by Satan appointed false prophets among professing Seventh-day Adventists today. That false teaching says that the Abomination of Desolation will stand in Babylon, the fallen churches, rather than in Jerusalem, the SDA "chosen" people church.

Jerusalem of old was a PREFIGURE TYPE for its COUNTERPART or ANTITYPE at the end-time. That ancient Jerusalem was a "chosen" commandment-keeping people, or so it was supposed to be. The COUNTERPART of that church or the modern day Jerusalem will of necessity make that same claim, and the only church today that claims to be a "chosen people" who "keep the commandments of God," is the professing SDA church militant become the New Movement Omega of Apostasy church, which, like the Jews of old, removed God.

One might try to counter that if the SDA church is a part of Babylon, it does not qualify as Jerusalem either! That does not follow as true for the following reasons:

The SDA church was once a faithful, called out, and "chosen" people. That was the same position of Jerusalem of old.
The SDA church originally covenanted to keep the commandments of God and the Testimony of Jesus. No other church has kept all of the commandments and/or professed to be a "chosen remnant church, just like the Jews claimed.
The apostate Jewish structure was finally labelled by Christ as the Synagogue of Satan, and His Synague or church is Babylon. He does not have two different synagogues, just as there are not more than two masters.
The fall of the first "chosen commandment-keeping people" proved that it was possible for such to become a harlot in Babylon or the Synagogue of Satan.
A harlot is a harlot, is a harlot, no matter how you slice it. Judah and Israel were referred to as committing harlotry. Ellen White called the professing SDA church a harlot. But God does not give up on a harlot untill she commits whoredome sufficiently to remove His presence. This, New Movement Seventh-day Adventism has done and that is why Ezekiel 9 will be literally mitigated within her borders, as Ezekiel and Ellen White prophesied.

When Ezekiel speaks of Jerusalem, he means Jerusalem, not Babylon!

Ezekiel chapter five is just another take on Ezekiel 9. In fact, Ezekiel 1-8, is a prelude leading up to and describing why Ezekiel 9 takes place. Jerusalem, not Babylon, was involved in all manner of abominations, and Ezekiel 8 describes some of them. Ellen White said that we do not know the worst abominations in the SDA church, Jerusalem:

"The abominations for which the faithful ones were sighing and crying were all that could be discerned by finite eyes, but by far THE WORST SINS, those which provoked the jealousy of the pure and holy God, were UNREVEALED. These persons come to feel secure in their deceptions and, because of His long-suffering, say that the Lord seeth not, and then act as though He had forsaken the earth. But He will detect their hypocrisy and will open before others those sins which they were so careful to hide....

It is with reluctance that the Lord withdraws His presence from those who have been blessed with great light and who have felt the power of the word in ministering to others. They were once His faithful servants, favored with His presence and guidance; but they departed from Him and led others into error, and therefore are brought under the divine displeasure.

The day of God's vengeance is just upon us. The seal of God will be placed upon the foreheads of those only who sigh and cry for the abominations done in the land. Those who link in sympathy with the world are eating and drinking with the drunken and will surely be destroyed with the workers of iniquity." E.G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 212, chapter begins on p. 207, by quoting Ezekiel 9.

"In the very courts of the temple, scenes will be enacted that few realize. God's people will be proved and tested, that He may discern 'between him that serveth God and him that serveth Him not.' Vengeance will be executed against those who sit in the gate, deciding what the people should have and what they should not have. These take away the key of knowledge. They refuse to enter in themselves, and those who would enter in they hinder. These bear not the seal of the living God. All who now occupy responsible positions should be solemnly and terribly afraid lest in this time they shall be found as unfaithful stewards." E.G. White, Manuscript 15, 1886, Paulson Collection, p. 55.

Friend of mine, Ellen White DOES NOT say in the very courts of Babylon! She says in the very courts of the Temple, scenes will be enacted that few realize. I have been shown those scenes, and you would flee as fast as you could if you were shown what God showed to me in vision.

According to Daniel, the abomination of desolation, will stand in the HOLY PLACE. Matthew 24 updates that to the end-time as verse 21 states:

"For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be."

Now, let's see if Matthew agrees with Ezekiel concerning the worst time of tribulation since the beginning of the world or ever shall be:

Eze 5:9 And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations.

Eze 5:10 Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds.

By the Whole Remnant, Does Ezekiel Mean the Entire SDA Church?

Let us permit Ezekiel to answer this question. In the same chapter, verses 1-9, we find the answer:

1 And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber's razor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to weigh, and divide the hair. 2 Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them. 3 Thou shalt also take thereof a few in number, and bind them in thy skirts.

The few who are saved are the remnant. "Binding them in thy skirts," is marriage terminology in the Bible, eg. Ruth and Boaz. The bride is saved by escaping out of Jerusalem, the apostate church, before it is destroyed. 4 Then take of them again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire; for thereof shall a fire come forth into all the house of Israel. 5 Thus saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her. Ezekiel is not speaking of Babylon or any part of Babylon. He is speaking ONLY about Jerusalem and it was ONLY Jerusalem that was destroyed in the A.D. 70 manifestation of Ezekiel 5 and 9, via the destruction of Jerusalem ONLY.

Why Jerusalem is Destroyed or Clues Concerning the Abomination of Desolation Standing in the Holy Place

Ezekiel 5:6 And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that are round about her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them. What are God's judgments? They are his doctrines, teachings, laws, statutes. Jerusalem is accused of not obeying the commandments of God by "not walking in them." Yet they claim to be God's commandment-keeping people. 7 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the nations that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that are round about you;

Strangely, you can hear Babylonian preachers on the radio any day of the week supporting the commandments of God, except the fourth of course. And Jerusalem will even do away with the fourth according to Ellen G. White. My wife listens to religious broadcasts on the radio coming home from work and she has been positively amazed at the frequency of hearing Babylonian preachers stress the need for the revival of the ten-commandments.

Ezekiel 5:8 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations. 9 And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations.

Come, let us reason together. If the manifestation of Ezekiel 9 in the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70, was the worst thing God ever did or ever would do, then that would have been worse than the great time of Jacob's trouble mentioned in Matthew 24:21, and that would contradict Matthew. That cannot be! So Ezekiel 5:9, updates Ezekiel chapters 5 and 9 to the end-time.

What is the Abomination of Desolation?

"And the Saviour warned His followers: 'When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) then let them which be in Jedea flee into the mountains." Matthew 24:15,16; Luke 21:20,21. When the idolatrous standards (Ensign--flag--seal--sign of authority) of the Romans should be set up in the holy ground, which extended some furlongs outside the city walls, then the followers of Christ were to find safety in flight." E.G. White, The Great Controversy, p. 26, 1911 edition.

So the abomination of desolation was any Roman ensign set up in the holy ground of Jerusalem's borders. That was considered by the Jews to be an abomination because their ground was considered Holy. Now let's apply this to the end-time. The Sunday Law is the sign or seal of Roman authority at the end-time. When Sunday sacredness is embraced and taught by the SDA New Movement church, that will be the abomination of Desolation standing in the Holy Place, within Jerusalem's borders. Would you like additional proof of this interpretation. Of course, so here it is:

"As the siege of Jerusalem by the Roman armies was the signal for flight to the Judean Christians, so the assumption of power on the part of our nation in the decree enforcing the papal sabbath will be a warning to us. It will then be time to leave the large cities, preparatory to leaving the smaller ones for retired homes in secluded places among the mountains. And now, instead of seeking expensive dwellings here, we should be preparing to move to a better country, even a heavenly." E.G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, pp. 464, 465.

Would you like more proof? Why not?! So here goes:

"By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. {5T 451.1}

"As the approach of the Roman armies was a sign to the disciples of the impending destruction of Jerusalem, so may this apostasy be a sign to us that the limit of God's forbearance is reached, that the measure of our nation's iniquity is full, and that the angel of mercy is about to take her flight, never to return. The people of God will then be plunged into those scenes of affliction and distress which prophets have described as the time of Jacob's trouble. The cries of the faithful, persecuted ones ascend to heaven. And as the blood of Abel cried from the ground, there are voices also crying to God from martyrs' graves, from the sepulchers of the sea, from mountain caverns, from convent vaults: "How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost Thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?" {5T 451.2}

The Lord is doing His work. All heaven is astir. The Judge of all the earth is soon to arise and vindicate His insulted authority. The mark of deliverance will be set upon the men who keep God's commandments, who revere His 452 law, and who refuse the mark of the beast or of his image. {5T 451.3}

You have just read how Ellen White parallels the decree of the Sunday Law with the approaching of the Roman armies upon Jerusalem's soil. The Sunday Law will be the Abomination of Desolation. Will that abomination stand in the Holy Place? Notice:

"The Lord has a controversy with his professed people in these last days. In this controversy men in responsible positions will take a course directly opposite to that pursued by Nehemiah. They will not only ignore and despise the Sabbath themselves, but they will try to keep it from others by burying it beneath the rubbish of custom and tradition. In churches and in large gatherings in the open air, ministers, will urge upon the people the necessity of keeping the first day of the week." E.G. White, Review and Herald, vol. 1, p. 405, col. 3.

What the Surface Reader Without Discernment Will Take From the Above Knowledge!

The foolish-virgin type surface reader will say: "Yep! Just as I thought! We do not flee until the abomination of desolation, the National Sunday Law arrives and stands in the Holy Place. The "dumb-dog" followers and advocates (Isaiah 56:10-12) will thus conclude. The wise virgins will hear, understand and react to the following historical data.

When Did All True Christians Begin to Flee and Leave the Apostate Structure in the Prefigure of the First Fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, Circa A.D. 70?

It all began with Jesus Christ, in A.D. 27. His first act of ministry was to "gather out" those who would take the true gospel to the world. Notice:

"The Sanhedrin had rejected Christ's message and was bent upon His death; therefore Jesus departed from Jerusalem, from the priests, the temple, the religious leaders, the people who had been instructed in the law, and turned to another class to proclaim His message, and to gather out those who should carry the gospel to all nations.
As the light and life of men was rejected by the ecclesiastical authorities in the days of Christ, so it has been rejected in every succeeding generation. Again and again the history of Christ's withdrawal from Judea has been repeated. When the Reformers preached the word of God, they had no thought of separating themselves from the established church; but the religious leaders would not tolerate the light, and those that bore it were forced to seek another class, who were longing for the truth. In our day few of the professed followers of the Reformers are actuated by their spirit. Few are listening for the voice of God, and ready to accept truth in whatever guise it may be presented. Often those who follow in the steps of the Reformers are forced to turn away from the churches they love, in order to declare the plain teaching of the word of God. And many times those who are seeking for light are by the same teaching obliged to leave the church of their fathers, that they may render obedience." E.G. White, Desire of Ages, p. 232.

The Personal Testimony of a "Dumb-dog" SDA New Movement Preacher

"Saved into the church.--The world to which we belong by birth is hostile to God and under condemnation. Therefore, in order to save us, the cross must deliver us from the world and place us in the church, the body of Christ. Every other aspect of salvation is based upon this fact. The gospel delivers us not primarily from hell to heaven, nor from death to life, but from the world to the church. As a subjective experience, this is always the first step of our salvation. Christ will never take us to heaven as individuals, but only as members of His church." Jack Sequeira, SDA Pastor, Beyond Belief, p. 115.

The above testimony versus Ellen White's:

"We ARE NOT saved as a sect; no denominational name has any virtue to bring us into favor with God. We are saved individually as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ." E.G. White, Review and Herald Articles, Vol. 2, p. 464.

"Christ was a protestant...The Reformers date back to Christ and the apostles. They came out and separated themselves from a religion of forms and ceremonies. Luther and his followers did not invent the reformed religion. They simply accepted it as presented by Christ and the apostles." E.G. White, Review and Herald, vol. 2, 48, col. 2.

Christ what?! He separated Himself and His disciples from a religion of forms and ceremonies (celebrations). He and His disciples gathered faithful Jews out of the apostate church for 43 years BEFORE it was destroyed. Long before the Abomination of Desolation occurred. Recall that the Abomination of Desolation was the presence of Roman soldiers on Jewish soil. Ellen White paralleled that to the National Sunday Law in an end-time application. What Jesus did was all part of the PREFIGURE of what happened to the apostate Jews. He was gathering people out in A.D. 27, even seven years before their probation was over at the stoning of Stephen in A.D. 34! The Lord has shown me that this experience of Apostate Jewry is an ensample or PREFIGURE for us to follow. Ellen White reinforces that fact on page 25 of The Great Controversy where she says:

The prophecy which He uttered was twofold in its meaning; while foreshadowing the destruction of Jerusalem, it prefigured also the terrors of the last great day. Jesus declared to the listening disciples the judgments that were to fall upon apostate Israel, and especially the retributive vengeance that would come upon them for their rejection and crucifixion of the Messiah. Unmistakable signs would precede the awful climax. The dreaded hour would come Page 26 suddenly and swiftly. And the Saviour warned His followers: "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains." Matthew 24:15, 16; Luke 21:20, 21. When the idolatrous standards of the Romans should be set up in the holy ground, which extended some furlongs outside the city walls, then the followers of Christ were to find safety in flight. When the warning sign should be seen, those who would escape must make no delay. Throughout the land of Judea, as well as in Jerusalem itself, the signal for flight must be immediately obeyed. He who chanced to be upon the housetop must not go down into his house, even to save his most valued treasures. Those who were working in the fields or vineyards must not take time to return for the outer garment laid aside while they should be toiling in the heat of the day. They must not hesitate a moment, lest they be involved in the general destruction."

It all ends with the destruction of the world, but where does it begin?

Begin at My Sanctuary -- "Here we see that the church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus 'Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211.

"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled; yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling; will YOU hear? Will YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley, September 26, 1909.)" E. G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260.

And then the "dumb-dog" watchmen and their dumb sheep, come to you and say it all begins at Babylon, the other fallen churches! What a lie! What deceit! What Satanic deception! And those same evil false prophets call me a self-appointed, false prophet! There is no such thing! One is either appointed by God or by Satan. Those who speak according to the Law and the Testimony are appointed by God. All others are doing the work of Satan to deceive people that they might remain in an apostate church where Ellen White and even the SDA Bible Commentary say that it is impossible for the wheat to mature.

False Prophets Were Hired in the Prefigure

"The leaders of the opposing factions at times united to plunder and torture their wretched victims, and again they fell upon each other's forces and slaughtered without mercy. Even the sanctity of the temple could not restrain their horrible ferocity. The worshipers were stricken down before the altar, and the sanctuary was polluted with the bodies of the slain. Yet in their blind and blasphemous presumption the instigators of this hellish work publicly declared that they had no fear that Jerusalem would be destroyed, for it was God's own city [church]. To establish their power more firmly, they bribed false prophets to proclaim, even while Roman legions were besieging the temple, that the people were to wait for deliverance from God. To the last, multitudes held fast to the belief that the Most High would interpose for the defeat of their adversaries. But Israel had spurned the divine protection, and now she had no defense. Unhappy Jerusalem! rent by internal dissensions, the blood of her children slain by one another's hands crimsoning her streets, while alien armies beat down her fortifications and slew her men of war!" The Great Controversy, p. 29, 1911 edition.

So you can be sure there are now, and will be more false prophets telling you to remain with the apostate church--that it is God's refuge and if you remain there you will be delivered.

The Masada as a Part of the "Stay for the Slay" PREFIGURE Destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70

There was a faction of Jews in A.D. 70, who had the philosophy of many apostate Seventh-day Adventists today. They ridicule those who are departing from the New Movement we were never to join by saying they are going to remain and fight like brave men and that those who are leaving are cowards!

The Lord has shown this writer in vision that this type of philosophy had its prototype in the PREFIGURE of A.D. 70, and will be repeated in the end-time experience of professing Seventh-day Adventists, Jerusalem.

Instead of fleeing at the time prescribed by true prophets of God, a group of Jews were determined to remain and fight the infiltrators of Jerusalem. They erected a fortress on Mt. Masada, and ended up committing suicide to keep from being taken by the Romans who finally penetrated the fortress. Few, if any, have considered the role of the Masada in the PREFIGURE of the A.D. 70 destruction of Jerusalem, depicted in The Great Controversy, Chapter 1. Why do I Mention Names?

Some might think that I should not mention names of individuals such as Confidential, and David M. Curtis, for example. But let me assure you that I never mention the name of anyone that God has shown me there is still hope for. God and Ellen White have shown me that those who once knew the truth but abandon and reject it, will find it IMPOSSIBLE to get back on the Midnight Cry Lighted Path. Notice:

"While praying at the family altar, the Holy Ghost fell on me, and I seemed to be rising higher and higher, far above the dark world. I turned to look for the Advent people in the world, but could not find them--when a voice said to me, 'Look again, and look a little higher.' At this I raised my eyes and saw a straight and narrow path cast up high above the world. On this path the Advent people were travelling to the City, which was at the farther end of the path. They had a bright light set up behind them at the first end of the path, which an angel told me was the Midnight Cry. This light shone all along the path, and gave light for their feet so they might not stumble. And if they kept their eyes fixed on Jesus, who was just before them, leading them to the City, they were safe. But soon some grew weary, and they said the City was a great way of, and they expected to have entered it before. Then Jesus would encourage them by raising his glorious right arm, and from his arm came a glorious light which waved over the Advent band, and they shouted Hallelujah! Others rashly denied the light behind them, and said that it was not God that had led them out so far. The light behind them went out leaving their feet in perfect darkness, and they stumbled and got their eyes off the mark and lost sight of Jesus, and fell off the path down in the dark and wicked world below. It was just as impossible for them to get on the path again and go to the City, as all the wicked world which God had rejected. They fell all the way along the path one after another, until we heard the voice of God like many waters, which gave us the day and hour of Jesus' coming....
By this time the 144,000 were all sealed and perfectly united. On their foreheads was written, God, New Jerusalem, and a glorious Star containing Jesus' new name." E.G. White, Word to the Little Flock, p. 14.

Today, as in 1844, there is a shut door that Ellen White ever upheld, and that part of the shut-door she never reneged on is what you just read above. Rejection of present truth is a shut door to all who reject it. That is why you should be very careful when ANYONE comes to you claiming a message from God, as Ellen White says the same thing. In Councils to Writers and Editors, she states the proper response we must make to anyone proposing that he/she has a message from God. The wise virgins will heed that counsil. The foolish will denounce it out of hand, often without even reading it, let alone prayerfully studying it out.

When I come out with a document such as this, it slows them down for a few days and then they are on the attack again! They are incorrigible. The Lord has shown me that the only reason they read my writings is to garner something they can twist and misrepresent. They have rejected light and truth and all who do so experience only darkness in proportion to the light they have rejected. (Name withheld) was once a Reformer. He rejected that light and returned to the New Movement we were never to join--a New Movement that has "removed God." Selected Messages, Book 1, 204-5.
