There are some teaching that they have been called of God out of the church, but that no-one, including themselves, should call anyone else out of the church until the final Midnight Cry call. What an arrogant position. This is as if to say: I need to come out in order to qualify to be the bride of Jesus Christ, but you don’t have to worry about that! John the Baptist gave a call to repentance, but he did not propose to determine who was and who wasn’t the bride of Christ that would be “gathered out” in A.D. 27, to be trained to give the gospel to the world, Desire of Ages, 232.

What is our responsibility along these lines? More importantly, what is the responsibility of God’s messengers who are to help prepare a bride for Jesus as did John the Baptist, DA 179, especially in light of Ellen White counsel to all of us to strive to be part of the 144,000?

Most professing Seventh-day Adventists are of the misconception that the bride of Christ will be the entire church. That is not true. There are many distinctions between the bride, the great multitude, and the martyrs.

The mission of John the Baptist was to prepare a bride for Jesus Christ, Desire of Ages, 179. We are told by the Spirit of Prophecy to strive to be one of the 144,000. In order to do just that, it is imperative to understand what they must experience. The two calls of Matthew 22:1-10 will not be complete until the next Midnight Cry (Loud Cry) which goes first to the SDA church and then the world. The requirements to be the bride of Christ are different from those of the guests at the wedding feast.

"The people of God, symbolized by a holy woman and her children, were represented as greatly in the minority. In the last days only a remnant still existed. Of these John speaks as they 'which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." E. G. White, Signs of the Times,  Nov. 1, 1899, and Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary,  vol. 7, p. 972.

"The marriage represents the reception by Christ of His kingdom. The Holy City, the New Jerusalem, which is the capital and representative of the kingdom, is called 'the bride, the Lamb's wife.' Said the angel to John: 'Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.' 'He carried me away in the spirit,' says the prophet, 'and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God.' Revelation 21:9, 10. Clearly, then, the bride represents the Holy City, and the virgins that go out to meet the bridegroom are a symbol of the church [militant]. In the Revelation the people of God are said to be the guests at the marriage supper. Revelation 19:9. If guests, they cannot be represented also as the bride. He will receive the New Jerusalem, the capital of His kingdom, 'prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.'" E. G. White, The Great Controversy,  426, 427.

The Bride of Christ is the 144,000, The New Jerusalem Who are Translated Without Seeing Death

Revelation 14

1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: 3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. 4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. 5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. Rev. 14:1-5.

The bride of Christ will not knowingly be defiled with women (apostate churches). At the end-time, all formally organized churches (seven women designating completeness) are doing their own thing—Isaiah 4:1-4, and there is a call out of apostate Jerusalem, Isaiah 37:31, 32.

Three Groups in Heaven

"Nearest the throne are those who were once zealous in the cause of Satan, but who, plucked as brands from the burning, have followed their Saviour with deep, intense devotion. Next are those who perfected Christian characters in the midst of falsehood and infidelity, those who honored the law of God when the Christian world declared it void, and the millions, of all ages, who were martyred for their faith. And beyond is the "great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, . . . before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands." Revelation 7:9. Their warfare is ended, their victory won. They have run the race and reached the prize. The palm branch in their hands is a symbol of their triumph, the white robe an emblem of the spotless righteousness of Christ which now is theirs." E.G. White, The Great Controversy, p. 665.

Because of the confusion regarding the difference between the bride and the guests, there is much misconception regarding the responsibility involving both. Due to the misconceptions concerning the bride and the guests, some believe that the bride is called out but others are not to be educated by the bride so that they might have opportunity to be part of the bride, the 144,000, as well.

Some believe that there will be no counsel from the bride to bridal candidates regarding their responsibility to avoid defilement with woman—apostate churches, Revelation 14:1-4. Some believe that they are called out to be the bride, but that they have no responsibility in training a bride for Jesus Christ, as John the Baptist prepared the disciples to accept Christ’s call to them, Desire of Ages, 179, other than teaching the 1888 message concerning the merits of Christ. They harp on the merits of Christ, but do not define them for those whom they teach.

Some claim to teach the merits of Christ, while they embrace the Trinity Doctrine which sweeps away the entire Christian economy by denying the sacrifice involved when the Holy Spirit of the Son of God was divested (emptied) from Him, to become a third person, and that it was by the gift of this sacrifice that one may subscribe to the merits of Christ provided by the indwelling of the soul of His life, His Holy Spirit, in regenerating man back into the image of God.

Some claim that Christ and His followers did not separate—that they were forced out because of persecution. Is that True?

Did Christ and the Apostles Separate From the Apostate Jewish Church Before His Crucifixion and Before the Second Call to the Jews? Did the Reformers Follow Christ’s Example?

“Christ was a protestant. He protested against the formal worship of the Jewish nation, who rejected the counsel of God against themselves. He told them that they taught for doctrines the commandments of men, and that they were pretenders and hypocrites. Like whited sepulchers they were beautiful without, but within full of impurity and corruption. The Reformers date back to Christ and the apostles. They came out and separated themselves from a religion of forms and ceremonies. Luther and his followers did not invent the reformed religion. They simply accepted it as presented by Christ and the apostles. The Bible is presented to us as a sufficient guide; but the pope and his workers remove it from the people as if it were a curse, because it exposes their pretensions and rebukes their idolatry.  {RH, June 1, 1886 par. 14}

Paul left of his own Volition

Paul certainly left of his own volition and notice the reasons he gives as to why he left. These principles should be the reasons why one should voluntarily separate from apostasy today. Notice that Paul did not feel as Laval Picard does, that he alone was separated so as to be taught of God regarding how to teach his fellows!

"And as they persisted in their rejection of the gospel the apostle (Paul) went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space for three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God. But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus." Acts, 19:8, 9.

"Fearing that the faith of the believers would be endangered by continued association with these opposers of the truth, Paul separated from them, and gathered the disciples into a distinct body." E.G. White, Acts of the Apostles, p. 286.

Ellen White says that Christ and His apostles “separated themselves” and that they came out from a religion of forms and ceremonies. It is difficult for me to interpret this as meaning that they were “forced out by persecution.” That would mean that if there was no persecution, Christ and His followers would have remained in the apostate church. That does not accord with other evidence I will provide in this document.

Can any Church Fail Before the Final Call of Matthew 22?

"The Lord Jesus will always have a chosen people to serve Him. When the Jewish people rejected Christ, the Prince of life. He took from them the kingdom of God and gave it unto the Gentiles. God will continue to work on this principle with every branch of His work. When a church proves unfaithful to the work of the Lord, whatever their position may be, however high and sacred their calling, the Lord can no longer work with them. Others are then chosen to bear important responsibilities. But, if these in turn do not purify their lives from every wrong action, if they do not establish pure and holy principles in all their borders, then the Lord will grievously afflict and humble them and, unless they repent, will remove them from their place and make them a reproach.

God is not 'worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing' (Acts 17:25). E. G. White, The Upward Look, 131.

It should be clear that God is not chained to the two calls of Matthew 22 and Matthew 25. He proved that in the Reformation. When the various denominations fell, there was a call out of them.

Here are some of the more important duties of the True Reformer messengers who come today in the spirit of Elijah and John the Baptist.

·       The message God has called me to give is a message to His prospective bride that she might make herself ready for His coming. It will be rejected at the loss of eternal life.

·       The most important aspect in becoming the bride of Christ and/or being saved is the appropriation of all the merits of Christ, via His Divine Nature Holy Spirit, which is made manifest by obedience to all His commands.

·       I have always taught that there will be an opportunity for salvation at the final Midnight Cry, for any professing Seventh-day Adventists who has not heard of the apostasy, but that those who have heard of it are responsible when they hear of it. We are responsible for the light we are blessed with. Is the following statement foolishness or is it true and based on Biblical principles: "The plain straight testimony must live in the church, or the curse of God will rest upon His people as surely as it did upon ancient Israel because of their sins. God holds His people, as a body [corporately], responsible for the sins existing in individuals among them." Testimonies, vol. 3, p. 269.

·       Ellen White said that all who knowingly violate the Midnight Cry light of 1844, will find it impossible to get back on the pathway to heaven. Word to the Little Flock, p. 14. The church has violated that light by ecumenical liaison with Babylon.

·       When the Jews of Jeremiah’s day conspired (confederated) with God’s enemies, He told Jeremiah not to pray for them. Jer. 11:9-15. This implies unpardonable sin on a generational level.

·       Ellen White said there will be a COUNTERPART to Jeremiah 11:9-15. The only folk who qualify as God’s chosen people who claim to keep His commandments while breaking them, are the first “chosen” people, the Jews, and professing Seventh-day Adventists.

·       I taught in one of my first Omega Journals, that there would be a future fulfillment of The Midnight Cry of Matthew 25. I gave Ellen White’s quote which proves this.

·       Isaiah 62:1-11 prophesied that the bride, Zion, would have son’s and daughters and her message to her daughter was verse 11, which is a paraphrase of “Behold the Bridegroom cometh, go ye out to meet Him.”

·       Jesus did indeed “gather out” those who would take the gospel to the world as the first act of His ministry in A.D. 27, Desire of Ages, 232. John the Baptist prepared such for Christ, DA, 179. And the counterparts of John will do the same today. They will not be teaching that only a few like themselves will have the opportunity to be the called out bride. They will be teaching all the conditions for being the bride to as many of God’s people as will listen to them and heed their warning message. They do this in an attempt to get the bride to make herself ready with the aid of the Divine Nature of Jesus’ Holy Spirit. Ellen White did this and she advocated that all strive to become part of the 144,000.

·       I early taught that the voice of  God AND the voice of  the bride (Zion—Isaiah 62:1-5) would awaken ALL TEN virgins, Christ’s Object Lessons, 405-406.

·       I have oft taught that my ministry was to prepare a bride for Jesus Christ, and the bride, the 144,000 will not be defiled with women (apostate churches). That means that any candidates for the bride will have to remove themselves from the church as soon as they know of the apostasy. Many who teach on Matthew 22 and 25, do not seem to discern this serious fact. Some believe they are called out, but that they have no responsibility in preventing others from being disqualified from being the bride (the 144,000), by teaching them that if they desire to be the bride, they cannot be defiled by an apostate church when they hear of the apostasy, for they will then be disqualified by corporate responsibility for that apostasy.

·       When God gives advanced knowledge needed to become His bride, one cannot choose not to be His bride and still be saved. That would be like the disciples refusing the call of Christ to follow Him. That would be like the rich young ruler refusing the advice of Christ.

·       In the early 1950’s, two other messengers to the church, Robert J. Wieland and Donald K. Short, taught the church corporate responsibility. Some do not factor in that principle. Joshua, chapters 6 and 7, teach that principle as does Ellen White in the following statement: "The plain straight testimony must live in the church, or the curse of God will rest upon His people as surely as it did upon ancient Israel because of their sins. God holds His people, as a body [corporately], responsible for the sins existing in individuals among them." Testimonies, vol. 3, p. 269.

·       When a church commits open, unpardonable sin, it then becomes impossible to unite with its corrupt members and become and/or remain pure.

·       "It is IMPOSSIBLE for you to unite with those who are corrupt, and still remain pure. (II Corinthians 6:14-15 quoted). God and Christ and the heavenly host would have men know that if he unites with the corrupt he will become corrupt." E. G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 4, p. 137.

·       God says that the wheat cannot mature amongst thorns who are open sinners who teach a false gospel of justification only: "Thorns sprung up.--The thorns made it impossible for the wheat to mature (see Luke 8:14). In the same way secular interests prevent the fruits of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22, 23) from reaching maturity. Religion is relegated to the subordinate position of being only one interest among many. For lack of cultivation it withers and eventually dies. That which the thorny-ground hearers lack is a moral transformation. To them, justification is the sum and substance of religion [a false gospel], and they fail to realize that the Christian life consists essentially in the process known as sanctification--the process by which evil traits and tendencies are replaced by the perfect life-pattern of Jesus Christ." Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary, vol. 5, 405.

·       Paul told us to accurse anyone, even an angel, who should come with another gospel. Thorns are open sinners who lack a moral transformation. Ellen White clearly stated that open sinners should be separated from the church if they will not reform: “The names of those who sin and refuse to repent should not be retained on the church books, lest the saints be held accountable for their evil deeds. Those who pursue a course of transgression should be visited and labored with, and if they then refuse to repent, they should be separated from church fellowship, in accordance with the rules laid down in the Word of God.” {11MR 208.3}

·       "Christ has plainly taught that those who persist in open sin must be separated from the church, but He has not committed to us the work of judging character and motive.  He knows our nature too well to entrust this work to us.  Should we try to uproot from the church those whom we suppose to be spurious Christians, we should be sure to make mistakes.  Often we regard as hopeless subjects the very one whom Christ is drawing to Himself, it would perhaps extinguish their last hope.  Many who think themselves Christians will at last be found wanting.  Many will be in heaven who their neighbors supposed would never enter there.  Man judges from appearance, but God judges the heart.  The tares and the wheat are to grow together until the harvest; and the harvest is the end of probationary time." COL 71.

·       Tares are insincere believers whose motives we would have to judge in order to remove them. COL 72. That is not the case with open sinners. We don’t have to judge their motives. So when the church won’t remove open sinners and the leaders are the ring-leaders of the apostasy, what then?

·       God has had a faithful remnant in every generation that separated from the prevailing iniquity, even way back in Shiloh, the first civilization of the Hebrews after leaving the Sinai desert: "The recreant priests added licentiousness to the dark catalogue of their crimes yet they still polluted by their presence the tabernacle of the Lord, and, laden with sin, dared to come into the presence of a holy God. As the men of Israel witnessed the corrupt course of the priests, they thought it safer for their families not to come up to the appointed place of worship. Many went from Shiloh with their peace disturbed, their indignation aroused, until they at last determined to offer their sacrifices themselves, concluding that this would be fully as acceptable to God, as to sanction in any manner the abominations practiced in the Sanctuary." E.G. White, The Signs of the Times, vol. 1, p. 264, col. 3, December 1, 1881.

·       Imagine, Jews way back in the days of Shiloh, their first civilization after leaving the Sinai desert, were worshipping at home because of the apostasy in the church. This was centuries before the second call to the Jews after A.D. 34 and the Day of Pentecost. Why do you suppose Ellen White gives that statement to us? Do you believe the gift of the Holy Spirit to the church via Ellen White, dealt in trivialities? Or is there an intended lesson here? The lesson is that the leaders were the apostates. They would not put sin out of the church. They were the sin in the church. And the example is what to do when leaders are the ring-leaders in apostasy.

Ellen White says that the call to the marriage feast has been on-going since 1844. Notice:

Called to the Wedding Feast

(Sermon by Ellen G. White In Washington, Township, Iowa, Cir. 1874.)

     The words which I have selected as a foundation for a few remarks you will find in the 22nd chapter of Matthew, beginning at the first verse. [Verses 1-10, quoted.] {1SAT 4.1}

     “The King of the kingdom hath made a marriage supper for His Son. He hath sent forth His servants to say to those which are bidden, "Come to the marriage." The Lord is sending His servants, saying unto all who will hear, "Come, make ready for the great marriage supper of the Lamb; He is soon coming to receive all the faithful to the mansions prepared by Him, to partake of the feast which He hath prepared." He is sending, and hath been sending His servants for some thirty years past to say unto His people, "Come, make ready, put on your wedding garments; clothe yourselves with meekness, humility, and truth, and have yourselves clad in the righteousness of Christ, that you may be able to appear before Him, and enter into the guest chamber with those who shall sit with Me at the wedding of My Son." {1SAT 5.4}

Note by Ron: So we see that the call to the marriage feast had been on-going since 1844, 30 years prior to 1874 when these words were penned.

"The woman is a symbol of the church, and the remnant of the church represents the Christians of the last generation of men, living just prior to the second advent. The dragon makes war on these for keeping the commandments of God, Sabbath and all, and having the testimony of Jesus Christ, which, according to the inspired definition of chap. xix, 10, 'is the spirit of prophecy.' Here, then, are the causes of the dragon's warfare upon the remnant. They teach the observance of the ten commandments, and the revival of the gifts, and acknowledge the gift of prophecy among them. When the Devil got one foot upon the fourth commandment, and the other upon the gifts planted in the Christian church by Jesus Christ, then his satanic majesty was filled with revengeful delight. But when the remnant, whom God designs to fit for translation to Heaven without seeing death, 'ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein,' then the dragon is wroth, and makes war on them.

"The true spirit of the dragonic host, which is already being somewhat developed, is vividly described in Isa. xxx, 8-13, as being manifested just prior to the sudden destruction of those who hate the pure testimony, and love smooth and deceitful things." E. G. White, Spiritual Gifts, Vol. III, 26, 27.

He will receive the New Jerusalem  [Rev. 3:10-12], the capital of His kingdom, 'prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.'" E. G. White, The Great Controversy,  426, 427.

Let us analyze the above statement very closely: The Holy City, the New Jerusalem, which is the CAPITAL and REPRESENTATIVE of the kingdom, is the bride, the Lamb's wife.

The bride REPRESENTS [is ambassadors of] the Holy City of Hebrews 12:22, 23.

The ten virgins that go out to meet the bridegroom, at the call of the bride [COL 406] are a symbol of the church. They are the "people of God" they are guests at the marriage supper, and if guests, they cannot also be represented as the bride! They cannot be both!

Christ receives the NEW JERUSALEM, the CAPITAL and REPRESENTATIVE [ambassadors] of His kingdom, as a bride adorned for her husband."

Therefore, the bride, NEW JERSUSALEM," the representatives or earthly ambassadors, the true messengers of the heavenly NEW JERUSALEM CHURCH the earthly REPRESENTATIVES of the heavenly church called ZION, Hebrews 12: 22, 23, the church triumphant, consisting of men made perfect [verse 23] are the bride of Jesus Christ.

"Him that overcometh will I make a pillar IN THE TEMPLE of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is NEW JERUSALEM, which cometh down out of heaven from my God and I will write upon him my NEW NAME ." Rev. 3:12.

Will Scripture support Ellen White's view of the matter that only the 144,000 enter the Temple on Mt. Zion? Lets explore:

"Him that overcometh will I make a pillar IN THE TEMPLE of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is NEW JERUSALEM, which cometh down out of heaven from my God and I will write upon him my NEW NAME." Rev. 3:10-12.

Isaiah 62 tells us who Jesus marries: "For ZION'S SAKE will I not hold my peace, and for [New] Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until THE RIGHTEOUSNESS THEREOF go forth as brightness, and the SALVATION THEREOF as a lamp that burneth.” In verse 5, it is Zion that is married.

And the Gentiles shall see THY [ZION'S] RIGHTEOUSNESS, and all kings thy GLORY: and thou shalt be called by A NEW NAME, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.

“Thou [Zion in context] shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate  [because it is Zion that appears to fall]: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married

For as a young man marrieth a virgin [bethulah in Hebrew], so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence. And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make [NEW] Jerusalem a praise in the earth. . . .

Go through, go through the gates prepare ye the way of the people cast up, cast up the highway gather out the stones [of stumbling--the errors the stumbling blocks] lift up a standard [God's Holy Law] for the people [the guests--the body of the church].

Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city [church kingdom] not forsaken." Isaiah 62:1-7 10-12.

What you have just read is a Biblical description of Zion, the Bride of Jesus Christ. She has sons, verse 5, and she has daughters, verse 11. She is the holy mother:

"The people of God, symbolized by a holy woman and her children, were represented as greatly in the minority. In the last days only a remnant still existed. Of these John speaks as they 'which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." E. G. White, Signs of the Times,  Nov. 1, 1899, and Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary,  vol. 7, p. 972.

Zion is the church triumphant which has always existed to come to the aid of any valid church militant in any and every age:

"The members of the church triumphant--the church in heaven--will be permitted to draw near to the members of the church militant, to aid them in their necessity." E. G. White, The Southern Watchman, Sep. 8, 1903.

"The church is God's fortress, his city of refuge, which he holds in a revolted world. Any betrayal of her sacred trust is treachery to him who has bought her with the precious blood of his only begotten Son. In the past, faithful souls have constituted the church on earth, and God has taken them into covenant relation with himself, uniting the church on earth with the church in heaven. He has sent forth his holy angels to minister to his church, and the gates of hell have not been able to prevail against it." E. G. White, Review and Herald, 12-04-1900.

The Church in Heaven is the Church Triumphant of Men Made Perfect

"But ye are come unto mount Sion [Zion], and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and CHURCH OF THE FIRSTBORN, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men MADE PERFECT." Hebrews 12:22, 23.

Further Distinctions Between the Bride and the Ten Virgin Guests--The Ten-Virgins are Awakened by the Voice of the Bride

"Lingering near [not at] the bride's house are ten young women robed in white. Each carries a lighted lamp and a small flagon for oil. All are anxiously watching for the appearance of the bridegroom. But there is a delay [since 1844]. Hour after hour passes the watchers become weary and fall asleep. At midnight the cry is heard, 'Behold, the bridegroom cometh go ye out to meet him.' The sleepers [all ten slept Matt. 25:5], suddenly awaking, spring to their feet. They see the procession moving on, bright with torches and glad with music.  They hear the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.  The ten maidens seize their lamps and begin to trim them, in haste to go forth, But five have neglected to fill their flasks with oil [character]. They did not anticipate so long a delay, and they have not prepared for the emergence." E. G. White, Christ's Object Lessons,  pp. 405, 406.

If the voice of the bride awakens the 10 virgins, then the bride is a separate entity, who is awake before the awakening of the 10 virgins. This is attested to in Isaiah 62:11, where the mother, Zion, says the same thing, in similar other words, to her daughter.

Only Zion, Philadelphia, New Jerusalem, the Bride, the 144,000, the Firstfruits [Firstborn] go into the Temple on Mt. Zion.

Zion consists of the earthly representatives of the heavenly church of Hebrews 12:22, 23. They are like heavenly messengers who awaken the 10 virgin church militant guests. All but the bride are guests at the wedding. Only Zion goes into the Temple on Mt. Zion, as only the priests of the earthly Sanctuary, went into the Temple: (Rev. 3:12--made a pillar--leaders-in the Temple) and:

"And as we were about to enter the holy temple, Jesus raised His lovely voice and said, 'Only the 144,000 enter this place," and we shouted, 'Alleluia." E. G. White, Early Writings, 19.

Matthew 22

1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, 2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, 3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. 5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: 6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. 7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

Matthew 25

1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 While the bridegroom tarried,
they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

There are two implied Midnight Cry calls in Matthew 25. There have been many separations from apostasy from Abraham on down. Moses killed off the apostates from the camp of Israel.

The Principle of Generational Closing of Probation for any People

Long before the close of Israel’s probation at the end of the seventy weeks probation which coincided with the stoning of Stephen, God lets us know that probation had closed on a generational level in Jeremiah 11:9-15. Notice:

Jeremiah 11

1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD saying, 2 Hear ye the words of this covenant, and speak unto the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem; 3 And say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Cursed be the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant, 4 Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God: 5 That I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then answered I, and said, So be it, O LORD. 6 Then the LORD said unto me, Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear ye the words of this covenant, and do them. 7 For I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice. 8 Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do: but they did them not. 9 And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 10 They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers. 11 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them. 12 Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble. 13 For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal. 14 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble. 15 What hath my beloved to do in mine house, seeing she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest.

Way back in the days of Jeremiah, centuries before the final close of probation and the two final calls to apostate Israel, God told Jeremiah not to even pray for the apostasy of his generation of the Jews. But further, God asked the all important question: “What hath my beloved (bride) to do in mine house, seeing that she (the apostate church) hath wrought lewdness with many and the holy flesh is passed from thee?”

When the Jews of Jeremiah’s day committed such lewd apostasy, they rejoiced. They celebrated. Does that remind you of the celebration movement in new movement Adventism? God is suggesting that the assemblies of apostate Israel, away back in Jeremiah’s day, were no place for His beloved and faithful bride. God is suggesting that generation had committed unpardonable sin when He instructs Jeremiah not to even pray for those who had committed such sins.

In principle, New movement Adventism has committed every one of the sins of ancient Israel mentioned above. And that after having the example of Israel! Folk like Laval Picard, who adhere strictly to the two calls of Matthew 22:1-10, will not respond to this principle of generational closing of probation. I have asked him personally about this incident in Jeremiah 11 (also in chapter 7), but he would not respond. I also asked him about the Shiloh incident cited by Ellen White (cited elsewhere in this document), but he would not respond to that question either.

The parable of the Ten Virgins—The Midnight Cry (Matt. 25) is
Directly Related to the Two Calls of Matthew 22

“In the parable it was those that had oil in their vessels with their lamps that went in to the marriage. Those who, with a knowledge of the truth from the Scriptures, had also the Spirit and grace of God, and who, in the night of their bitter trial, had patiently waited, searching the Bible for clearer light--these saw the truth concerning the sanctuary in heaven and the Saviour's change in ministration, and by faith they followed Him in His work in the sanctuary above. And all who through the testimony of the Scriptures accept the same truths, following Christ by faith as He enters in before God to perform the last work of mediation, and at its close to receive His kingdom--all these are represented as going in to the marriage. {GC 427.2}

In the parable of Matthew 22 the same figure of the marriage is introduced, and the investigative judgment is clearly represented as taking place before the marriage. {GC 428.1}

Midnight Cry Repeated: "My mind was carried to the FUTURE, when the signal WILL BE GIVEN, 'Behold, the Bridegroom cometh Go ye out to meet Him.'" E.G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 3, p. 331, Feb. 11, 1896. Notice the date, Feb. 11, 1896.

There have been many calls to the SDA church by Ellen White, Jones and Waggoner, Wieland and Short and others. It is true that there is one more final call; one more Midnight Loud Cry to the SDA church first, and then all other churches and the world. I am not disputing that. It is just as true that we were never to join any new movement and that would include one formed “among” or within the church, Selected Messages, Bk. 1, 204-5. It is impossible to mature as wheat or the barley (firstfruits) bride in such a church that has removed God. But it is also true that there is still opportunity for those in the new movement who do not know of the apostasy to come out in the final Midnight Cry, Loud Cry call to the SDA church, all other churches and the world.

If it is impossible to unite with the corrupt and remain pure, then the bride of Christ cannot so unite. If it is impossible for the wheat to mature amongst open sin apostasy and a false, Nicolaitan gospel, then we have a duty to warn the propective bride and her guests of these facts which are taught to us in God’s Word and the Spirit of Prophecy.

Ellen White said to take the youth as far as possible away from the church in the Alpha of Apostasy. That involved separation. What would she say in the omega?

“There is a little hope in one direction: Take the young men and women, and place them where they will come as little in contact with our churches as possible, that the low grade of piety which is current in this day shall not leaven their ideas of what it means to be a Christian.” E.G. White, Manuscript Release #995, p. 5.

“Brother and sister Haskell have rented a house in one of the best parts of the city, and have gathered round them a family of helpers, who day by day go out giving Bible readings, selling our papers, and doing medical missionary work. During the hour of worship, the workers relate their experiences. Bible studies are regularly conducted in the home, and THE YOUNG MEN AND YOUNG WOMEN connected with the mission receive a practical, thorough training in holding Bible readings and in selling our publications. The Lord has blessed their labors, a number have embraced the truth, and many others are deeply interested.  Review and Herald, September 7, 1905, Evangelism, p. 108.

Was Ellen White errant when she advocated separation of the youth from the church in the Alpha of Apostasy, LONG BEFORE THE SECOND CALL TO THE CHURCH? The Alpha did not affect the entire church, but the Omega certainly does. What would Ellen White do today?

From Ron to a friend of Laval Picard:

You say on your forum Home Page: Let us reason together. So let's do just that. Let's analyze Laval Picard's position.

  • He maintains that he is called out into the wilderness to be taught how to give the final Loud Cry, Midnight Cry, second call of Matthew 22 to the church.
  • It is the bride of Christ that gives that final call awaking all ten virgins, COL, 405-6.
  • He is excluding you and your forum members in being eligible to give that message. In other words, YOU ARE NOT CALLED OUT TO GIVE THAT MESSAGE TO THE CHURCH!
  • Now what if you REALLY ACCEPTED his message on the merits of Christ? Wouldn't you have to come out to so as to be taught of Christ in order to be one of the 144,000 to give that same message to the church at the final call of Matthew 22 and Matthew 25? Of course you would and that is the folly of Laval Picard! Can't you see this man?!
  • Ezekiel 20:34-38 is the church triumphant, the 144,000, who will give the final call. Why should you be excluded? I have tried to give you and everyone I witness to the qualifications to be amongst that group. Which is more fair? Let us reason together.

Ron

Private,

What Laval Picard is really teaching you and your forum is that God called him and some other messengers out (he does not say who else) to prepare to give the Loud Cry, but God did not call you or the members of your forum out for the same purpose. It is the 144,000 who give that message. Ezekiel 20:34-38. So he is not giving you or your forum members an opportunity to be one of the 144,000. In effect, he is saying he is the only member of the 144,000 that he knows of!
