Matthew 25 and The Midnight Cry

There is an SDA Minister teaching on an Adventist Internet chat group that Matthew 25 will not be fulfilled until the second coming of Christ. This is absolute heresy when we consider that Ellen White said that the Midnight Cry gave power to the second angel's message in 1844 and on. Of course that message still accompanies the call to come out of the fallen churches from 1844 until another manifestation of the call at the Loud Cry. One does not negate the other.

"Near the close of the second angel's message, I saw a great light from heaven shining upon the people o God. The rays of this light seemed bright as the sun. And I heard the voices of angels crying, 'Behold, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him!'
This was the midnight cry, which was to give power to the second angel's message. [Is the second angel's message still in force?] ....
"'Angels were sent to the humble, devoted ones, and constrained them to raise the cry, 'Behold, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him!'....
The most spiritual received this message first, and those who had formerly led in the work were the last to receive and help swell the cry, 'Behold, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him!'
In every part of the land, light was given upon the second angel's message, and the cry melted the hearts of thousands. It went from city to city, and from village to village, until the waiting people of God were fully aroused. In many churches the message was not permitted to be given, and a large company who had the living testimony left these fallen churches. E.G. White, Early Writings, p. 238.

Since 1844, the first and second angel's message, as well as the Midnight Cry have been in force. This is made perfectly clear by Ellen White's first vision, in which she saw the Midnight Cry Path LIGHTED ALL ALONG THE PATH TO HEAVEN, and we are not "to heaven" yet. Thus, another SDA Minister, is teaching absolute falsehood to the church and the world over the worldwide internet. This is another reason why we must not go to their churches and be snared by such heretical errors of eternal consequence.

In Ellen White's further elaboration of the Midnight Cry parable, Christ's Object Lessons, pp. 405-6 and on, she says that it is the voice of God and the voice of the bride that awakens the 10 virgins, and Matthew 25:5, says that "they all slumbered and slept." If the voice of the bride awakens all ten, then this must mean that the bride is a separate entity from the ten virgins, and she is. She is the strictly pure "bethulah" (Hebrew meaning of the word virgin) virgin of Isaiah 62:5. I first saw her mission from Isaiah 62:11, where she (Zion--the bride) is instructed to say to her daughter, words [in the KJV] that find a direct parallel with the Midnight Cry of Matthew 25. Those words are:

"Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion [she has a daughter--the 10 virgins], Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him." These words are a paraphrase of Matthew 25:6:

"And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins [all ten] arose [from sleep] and trimmed their lamps.

The bride is Zion, the 144,000, who are made pillars [leaders] in the Temple of God, Rev. 3:12. Only they enter the Temple on Mt. Zion, with Jesus:

"And as we were about to enter the holy temple, Jesus raised His lovely voice and said, 'Only the 144,000 enter this place,' and we shouted, 'Alleuluia.'" Early Writings, p. 19.

In Rev. 3:12, as stated, only Philadelphia, the perfect church, the 144,000 without guile in their mouths, will go into the Temple in heaven and be made pillars or leaders. Philadelphia is also given the promise..."I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."

This means that Philadelphia must be in existence at the great time of Jacob's trouble, which is the time of temptation [trial] that shall come upon all the world. This means that the bride of all ages will be raised to give the final loud cry awakening message to the ten sleeping virgins. The disciples of Jesus were defined as His bride, Desire of Ages, 179, to wit:

"John represented himself as the friend who acted as a messenger between the betrothed parties, preparing the way for the marriage. When the bridegroom had received his bride [the disciples], the mission of the friend [John the Baptist] was fulfilled." DA 179.

Because the apostate, professing SDA New Movement Church, has become so by teaching anti-Christ doctrine to the world via an anti-Christ teaching on the Human Nature of Jesus Christ, and because the church has aligned itself with the opposers of truth, by becoming MEMBERS of National Councils of Churches in at least eight countries of the world, thus violating Isaiah 8:9-20; the first and second angel's messages, as well as the Midnight Cry, she has taken her eye off the Midnight Cry Lighted path, and made it IMPOSSIBLE for her to get back on the path again. Please note:

"While praying at the family altar, the Holy Ghost fell on me, and I seemed to be rising higher and higher, far above the dark world. I turned to look for the Adventi people in the world, but could not find them--when a voice said to me, 'Look again, and look a little higher.' At this I raised my eyes and saw a straight and narrow path cast up high above the world. On this path the Advent people were tavelling to the City, which was at the farther end of the path. They had a bright light set up behind them at the first end of the path, which an angel told me was the Midnight Cry. This light shone all along the path, and gave light for their feet so they might not stumble. And if they kept their eyes fixed on Jesus, who was just before them, leading them to the City, they were safe. But soon some grew weary, and they said the City was a great way of, and they expected to have entered it before. Then Jesus would encourage them by raising his glorious right arm, and from his arm came a glorious light which waved over the Advent band, and they shouted Hallelujah! Others rashly denied the light behind them, and said that it was not God that had led them out so far. The light behind them went out leaving their feet in perfect darkness, and they stumbled and got their eyes off the mark and lost sight of Jesus, and fell off the path down in the dark and wicked world below. It was just as impossible for them to get on the path again and go to the City, as all the wicked world which God had rejected. They fell all the way along the path one after another, until we heard the voice of God like many waters, which gave us the day and hour of Jesus' coming....
By this time the 144,000 were all sealed and perfectly united. On their foreheads was written, God, New Jerusalem, and a glorious Star containing Jesus' new name." E.G. White, Word to the Little Flock, p. 14.

OUR COMMENTARY: The Midnight Cry of Matthew 25, called people out of the fallen churches. All who ever hear and understand the Midnight Cry, and thereafter take their eyes off the path lighted by that cry, by re-joining the fallen churches they were called out of by membership or confederacy in ASSOCIATION, COUNSEL AND/OR COUNCIL, GIRDING, OR LINKING WITH THEM IN ANY WAY WHICH WOULD IDENTIFY US WITH THEM, FALL OFF THE PATH AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM TO GET ON THE PATH AGAIN, WHICH IMPLIES SHUT DOOR UNPARDONABLE SIN! God's Word implies the same unpardonableness for such offense in Isaiah 8:9-20, and Revelation 14:9, 10. This is what Ellen White really meant by "shut door!" Her meaning has been grossly perverted by those who have committed this unpardonable sin. This is a most serious consideration every SDA should weigh heavily before he/she determines to enter ecumenical relationship with and/or join any of the fallen churches.

"The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A NEW ORGANIZATION would be established. Books of a new order would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the NEW MOVEMENT. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure.
WHO HAS AUTHORITY TO BEGIN SUCH A [NEW] MOVEMENT? We have our Bibles. We have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the Holy Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not repudiate everything that is not in harmony with this truth?" E.G. White, Selected Messages, vol. 1, 204-205.

The NEW MOVEMENT, NEW ORGANIZATION mentioned above, as being the Omega of Apostasy [in context with the chapter it appears as part of], is indeed so powerful that "Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the NEW MOVEMENT." There is no independent ministry that is so powerful that the SDA church could not stand in its way! But the NEW MOVEMENT SDA CHURCH is so powerful that no independent ministry will ever stand in the way of its apostasy, until it is destroyed by another literal manifestation of Ezekiel 9, according to Ellen White.
We were never to join ANY NEW MOVEMENT, and so Satan formed one within in a Trojan horse manner, and the sleeping virgins are non-the-wiser! The fact is, of course, that we cannot join ANY NEW MOVEMENT, even one that now comprises the professing Seventh-day Adventist Church. God can no longer use such a church. OTHERS SECTION:

"He will take his Holy Spirit from the church and Give it to OTHERS who will appreciate it." E. G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 3, 272.
"The Lord Jesus will always have a chosen people to serve Him. When the Jewish people rejected Christ, the Prince of life, He took from them the kingdom of God and gave it unto the Gentiles. God will continue to work on this principle with every branch of His work. When a church proves unfaithful to the work of the Lord, whatever their position may be, however high and sacred their calling, the Lord can no longer work with them. Others are then chosen to bear important responsibilities. But, if these in turn do not purify their lives from every wrong action, if they do not establish pure and holy principles in all their borders, then the Lord will grievously afflict and humble them and, unless they repent, will remove them from their place and make them a reproach.
God is not 'worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed anything (Acts 17:25)." E.G. White, The Upward Look, 131.
"And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not." Matthew 25:6-12.

"Lingering near the bride's house [not at it] are ten young women robed in white. Each carries a lighted lamp and a small flagon for oil. All are anxiously watching for the appearance of the bridegroom. But there is a delay [the tarrying time since 1844]. Hour after hour passes; the watchers become weary and fall asleep. At midnight the cry is heard, 'Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.' The sleepers, suddenly awaking, spring to their feet. They see the procession moving on, bright with torches and glad with music. They hear the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride." E. G. White, Christ's Object Lessons, 405, 406.

It is the Voice of God and the voice of the bride that awaken the ten sleeping virgins. This fact alone distinguishes the bride from the main body of the church. Ellen White equates the bride with the 144,000; the 144,000 with Philadelphia; and both as the final generation of faithful men living on the earth at Christ's coming, who are translated without seeing death.

Who Awakens and Calls the Bride?

It was an Eastern custom for the father to choose the bride for the son. God the Father chooses and directly calls the bride for His son.

"Characteristics of True Reformers.--Here [Isa. 58:11-14] are given the characteristics of those who shall be reformers, who will bear the banner of the third angel's message, those who avow themselves God's commandment-keeping people, and who honor God, and are earnestly engaged, in the sight of all the universe, in building up the old waste places. Who is it that calls them, The repairer of the breach, The restorers of paths to dwell in? It is God. Their names are registered [written--Heb. 12:22, 23] in heaven as reformers, restorers, as raising the foundations of many generations." E. G. White, SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 4, 1151.

Above, Ellen White is commenting on Isaiah 58:11-14. She says that those verses give the characteristics of True Reformers. It behooves us to study those verses:

"They that forsake the law praise the wicked.' Proverbs 28:4. When those who are uniting with the world, yet claimin great purity, plead for union with those who have ever been the opposers of the cause of truth, we should fear and shun them as decidedly as did Nehemiah. Such counsel is prompted b the enemy of all good. It is the speech of timeservers, and should be resisted as resolutely today as them. Whatever influence would tend to unsettle the faith of God's people in His guiding power, should be steadfastly withstood." E.G. White, Prophets and Kings, p. 661.

Cold, apostate, once lukewarm Laodicea, believes that she is all God has left to proclaim His Everlasting Gospel to the world, but God has shown this writer in vision that the bride of all ages will be raised to give the Loud Cry to the world, just as Jesus raised people from the graves at the time of His own resurrection, to give the gospel to the world.

Sincerely,

Ron Beaulieu
