"He who by faith receives the Word, is receiving the very life and character of God....'The words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are life! (John 6:63).'" E.G. White, Christ's Object Lessons, p. 38.

When Scripture says Let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus, it means the Spirit and Personality of Christ. The Spirit of self-sacrificing love. Under the New Covenant, the Law of Love, and the ten-commandment law upon which it hangs, is planted in the heart and this law is the character of Christ, or a transcript of His character planted in the heart. His character, His Personality, is His Spirit, and that is what is planted in the heart of the regenerate, born again individual--born again under the New Covenant. It is the Spirit that thinks. The Mind and the Spirit are inseparably linked, as are the mind and the character. So, if the law of God, which is a transcript of His character, is placed in the heart, it is the Holy Spirit of Christ's life that is placed there. This is what Ellen White means when she says that the Impartation of the Spirit is the Impartation of the life of Christ--into the heart.

Ellen White said that the Alpha and Omega of Apostasy would have to do with the personality and presence of Christ. The trinity doctrine teaches that the Holy Spirit is another third and distinct person from Christ. That means that it must be the mind, character, spirit and personality of that "other" third person that is in us in lieu of the mind, character, Spirit and personality of Christ. This is heresy. This denies the greatest crowning gift that Christ was Incarnated to give--His very Personal Mind, Character, Spirit, Personality, Breath, and Soul, Divine Nature, as a regenerating agency for to restore man to the image of God, instead of the image to the Beast to which our carnal nature is toward.

There has been a trinity since the Incarnation, but the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Son that was laid aside as the Royal Robes and Crown, to be committed to the Father's care, and bequeathed to us as the "CROWNING GIFT" and regenerating agency.

"Christ declared that after His ascension, he would send to his church, as his CROWNING GIFT, the comforter, who is the Holy Spirit,--THE SOUL OF HIS LIFE, THE EFFICACY OF HIS CHURCH, THE LIGHT AND LIFE OF THE WORLD. With HIS SPIRIT Christ sends a reconciling influence and a power that takes away sin. In the gift of the Spirit, [HIS LIFE--THE SOUL OF HIS LIFE] Jesus gave to man the highest good that heaven could bestow." E.G. White, Review and Herald, May 19, 1904. Book 5, p. 42.

"The Holy Spirit is the breath of spiritual life in the soul. The impartation of the Spirit is the impartation of the life of Christ. It imbues the receiver with the attributes of Christ. Only those who are thus taught of God, those who possess the inward working of the Spirit, and in whose life the Christ-life is manifested, are to stand as representative men, to minister in behalf of the church." Desire of Ages, 805.

To say that the trinity existed from time immemorial and that the Holy Spirit was a separate and distinct Spirit from the very Life, Soul, Breath, Mind, Personality and Character of the Son of God, is the abominable heresy of the trinity doctrine of Rome.

What is involved is the great sacrifice the Son made for us.He sacrificed His Original life of Royal Majesty and laid that aside to become encumbered with humanity. No third person holy spirit existing from eternity did that. The third person resulted from what Christ sacrificed for us. This is what the trinity doctrine denies. If that original life of Christ was not died to, then no Atonement was made--No Sanctuary Service was completed--no regenerating agency has been proffered, because the Testator Covenant--THE EVERLASTING COVENANT-- demanded the death of the Testator, and no third party Holy Spirit person was the Testator. The testator was Jesus Christ, not a third person separate from Christ existing from eternity. What you are saying, in essence, is that it does not matter whether the Son, or a third person separate and distinct from the Son, satisfied the Testator Covenant by giving His life eternally for us. This is heresy of the highest order.

What the SDA church is saying by embracing the trinity doctrine is what Ellen White called the Alpha and Omega Heresy, which was to involve the presence and personality of Christ, Selected Messages. vol. 1, p. 202. The church is saying, in essence, is that a third person satisfied the Everlasting Covenant, instead of the Son--that the third person was the Testator, and this is a lie of the devil. Why that lie? Because Satan accused God the Father and the Son of not being self-sacrificing. According to the trinity doctrine, the Father and the Son were not self-sacrificing, because the Holy Spirit third person from eternity could just as well have done the sacrificing instead of the Son doing the sacrificing, and meeting the demands of the Testator Covenant, because only the Father and the Son were parties to that Covenant. It was not made between a separate and distinct third person. Only the Son as Testator could satisfy the demands of the Everlasting Covenant.

"In the light from Calvary it will be seen that the law of self-renouncing love is the law of life for earth and heaven; that the love which 'seeketh not her own' has its source in the heart of God; and that in the meek and lowly One is manifested the character of Him who dwelleth in the light which no man can approach unto." Desire of Ages, 20.

1 John 4:8: 'God is love.'" This is the life and character of God; it is His self-denying love. We may be indwelt with this character by partaking of the Divine Nature of Christ. When this life is received, it will provide the energy to reproduce the pure life of Christ in us.

The life is in the blood, and we are speaking of the life of The Son of God. "The Impartation of the Holy Spirit is the impartation of the life of Christ." Desire of Ages, 805. The life of the Son of God that He laid aside for us, is His Holy Ghost Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the life of the Son of God, the life of Christ.
