My
Vision on the Church Militant
Part 3
“Be not deceived; many will depart from the faith, giving heed to
seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. We have now before us the alpha of
this danger. The
omega will be of a most startling nature.”--Letter 263, 1904, p. 4. (To Our Leading
Physicians, July 24, 1904.) {7MR 188.2}
The new movement has departed from the faith. True Reformers will not
depart from the faith.
"Most startling messages will be borne by men of God's
appointment, messages of a character to warn the people, to arouse them. And
while some will be PROVOKED by the warning, and led to RESIST LIGHT AND
EVIDENCE, we are to see from this that we are giving the TESTING MESSAGE for
this time. Messages will be given OUT OF THE USUAL ORDER." E.G. White, Testimonies, vol. 9, p. 136.
A Message to Startle People to Study—"The testing message for this
time is to be borne so plainly and decidedly as to startle the hearers, and lead them to desire to study the
Scriptures."—Testimonies For The Church, Vol. 9, p. 109 (1909).
The only startling thing emoting from the new movement is the constant
foray into apostasy from the original faith message.
This
part 3 is the conclusions of Kevin Straub in an excerpt from his book entitled Of the Times and Seasons, an ebook on Kindle books at Amazon. This is an ebook, which you can purchase for $8.69. Kevin met with me
in my home about three decades ago for a four hour
presentation of my warning message. He then made a deep investigation of the
things I related to him, and additional apostasies that have occurred over the
years.
Kevin
has finally concluded that what I showed him in 1986, is fully true, and
constitutes the most startling surprise one could confront professing Seventh-day
Adventism with. Here is the excerpt from Kevin Straub’s book:
“Much
has been made of the concept that the “Omega of Apostasy” is the latter end of
the spiritualism arising from Kellogg’s pantheism, which is known in Adventist
history as the “Alpha of Apostasy.” However, there is much more to the concept
than this. Even Rick Howard has recognized the possibility, ending his book
with the open-ended question, “IS THIS THE OMEGA, OR AN ELEMENT OF IT?”
(Howard, p. 205). It is the position of this author that it is an element, or a
fruition, of the Omega. The Omega would have to have its roots in the departure
from the faith resulting from the rejection of the 1888 message as the cure to Laodiceanism. This departure did not begin to show
distinctly until the middle of the 20th century, even as mystic elements were
coming into the seminary at Washington through Elder Vandeman’s
promotion of the teachings of E. Stanley Jones (as reported in the Wieland and
Short history of the third generation).
In our
post–2004 comments, we will show again a connection to E. Stanley Jones in the
emerging church infiltrations. Yet, the Omega is more than all of this. It also
has to do with the entire fruitage of departing from the God-given message,
ignoring the counsels of Ellen White in so many areas, capitulating to Babylon
in the Evangelical Conferences, and forging ecumenical alliances with Babylon.
It should be noted that Ellen White said there was an aspect of the Omega that
would take us by surprise: Be not deceived; many will depart from the faith,
giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. We have now before us
the alpha of this danger. The omega will be of a most startling nature. (Lt.
263, 1904, p. 4, “To Our Leading Physicians,” in Manuscript Releases, vol. 7, p
188, emphasis added)
After
many years of studying the “devouring,” or apostasy, of the Seventh-day
Adventist movement and church, it suddenly occurred to me that the startling
nature of the omega is not so much any of its substance but the nature of it,
just as stated by the pen of inspiration. Others have now written on this
subject. However, at the time, it was to me as a fresh thought. If we were
simply looking for a certain species of doctrinal aberration and find that it
is spiritualism in another guise, where would the element of shock in that be?
The alpha was already a species of spiritualism (even though, it too was more,
in that it was the rejection of the counsel of God given through the prophetic
ministry of Ellen White).
It
would not be any surprise to see it merely come back in another form. No, there
is more to it than simply a species of error. The departure of spiritual
formation is only one in a long line of apostasies that have been introduced
into the denomination. Again,
the element of surprise is the nature of the apostasy. The first entry
in my dictionary for “nature” states: “The essential qualities or
characteristics by which something is recognized.” In the case of the omega, it is not recognized by
any particular species of error. Rather, it is
identified by the way it has been introduced and the stand towards it taken by
the faithful. What do we mean by all this? In the alpha of apostasy, the leadership retained its
integrity, and the apostate element found itself outside the denomination.
Such is not the case in
the omega. As the
latter end of the apostasy has worked itself out, a reversal becomes apparent
to the student of history and true Seventh-Seventh-day Adventism.
As the end nears, we will find that the
apostates are not ejected from the denomination but have rather become its
leaders! Look at this item from the pen of
Ellen White as one of the clues: “In the future, deception of every kind is to
arise, and we want solid ground for our feet. We want solid pillars for the
building. Not one pin is to be removed from that which the Lord has
established. The enemy will bring
in false theories,
such as the doctrine that there is no sanctuary. This is one of the
points on which there will be a departing from the faith. Where shall we find safety unless it
be in the truths that the Lord has been giving for the last fifty years?” (Review and Herald, May 25, 1905,
emphasis added)
This
example of “one of the points” of departing from the faith does not come
largely from outside elements that have been relieved of their credentials or
their invitation to teach and preach or their membership. This is very much an “inside
job” as there has been a gradual repudiation of the historic three angel’s
messages in the denominational educational institutions. The theological
training of this generation of church officers and ministerial leaders and
teachers echoes the
evangelical world, and the
distinctive message regarding the cleansing of the sanctuary is but faintly
heard in mainstream Adventist pulpits today if at all. In other words,
we may hear lip-service to the most holy place ministry of Christ, but the
teaching has been stripped of its efficacy, at best, in a general avoidance or, worse, in a derision of the
truth of the character perfection of the final generation of faithful, who are
to stand without sin after the close of probation and before the second coming
(also known as “Last Generation Theology” or LGT).
The fundamental of the sanctuary doctrine
is pejoratively referred to as “perfectionism,” which is to imply “legalism” or
a works-based salvation for the final generation. In a document of unknown origin, this concept is perfectly expressed,
as follows: Say I was in the days of The Alpha AFTER THE SEPARATION TOOK
PLACE—after Ellen White and others expelled the detractors from the organized
body. If I was to say to myself, “I want to hear this false doctrine I am being
told about so often. I want to hear it for myself! I want to seek those who
preach it and have a talk with them!” Where would I go to talk with those who
teach the heresies? Hey, the organization kicked them out. It therefore stands
for reason that in order to hear what I want to hear,
I would have to go out of the domain and jurisdiction of the organized body to
seek out the men who are teaching heresy, because they were expelled.
We now have a very STARTLING difference
when we consider doing the same with The
Omega. Remember Ellen White declared to us that men would come among us stating
that there was no sanctuary. This is a part of The Omega Apostasy, and the
separation between the two groups of actors had already taken place. The
“detractors” are disfellowshipped and banned from church owned property. If I
was therefore to say to myself today, “I want to hear the false doctrine
preached by the apostates. I want to seek those who teach that there is no
heavenly sanctuary,” and then ask myself, “Where would I go to find these men?”
Right away I would run into a very STARTLING problem after attempting to seek
these men out. The problem? If I venture to investigate the “detractors” in order to locate this heresy, I would find out that I
would be wasting my time. I
WOULDN’T FIND ANY OF THE “DETRACTORS” WHO WERE EXPELLED FROM THE CHURCH
ORGANIZATION TEACHING IT. UNPRECEDENTED!
If you want to find men teaching that
there is no heavenly sanctuary among many other heresies, you would have to
visit and check our seminary, colleges, and maybe even some of our very
pulpits. This has often been cited even by able leaders of the
denomination who still occupy position, as the cause of the commotion today
between the denominational organization and the private self-supporting
ministries. You can see that people among us are bringing what they
claim is the new “Gospel” that
forbids discussion on the special revelations of prophecy given to the
Adventist Church. You
can see all over the denomination that ministers refuse to teach these things
as the Papacy gets ready to strike, saying that neither Christ nor salvation
are in them, even though Christ Himself gave these revelations and commanded
them to be preached. (“The Secret of the Omega!” pp. 3, 4, available at
http://1ref.us/j9, accessed 12/18/16)
Regarding
the statement, “I wouldn’t find any of the “detractors” who were expelled from
the church organization teaching [that there is no sanctuary],” the truth is,
there are “detractors” outside the denomination who make this assertion, citing
their disbelief of the sanctuary message as one reason they left the church. It
is also true that there remains a conservative element within the church,
albeit a minority, who still teach the reality of the sanctuary, even with its
Last Generation Theology implications. Where the author of the article is likely coming from is that many have
been marginalized or even disfellowshipped for teaching the historic belief
regarding the sanctuary message.
Many have simply left to form
independent bodies or home churches, and the mainstream point to these as
“detractors,” or “offshoots.” This situation
is likely to get much worse as we head into the final crisis. Returning to the
article, we note that the author summed up the matter this way: This is confusing to most
Adventists, for they were always taught to consider the leadership who maintain
control of the denominational organization to be true leaders and to have the
blessing of God. To most of our people, the definition of an apostate is
not one who opposes the mission or message, but one who opposes those who
maintain control over the denominational system. Here is where the Omega
apostasy will catch them completely by surprise. (“The Secret of the Omega!” p.
13, emphasis added)
Here is
the crux of what Elder Douglass admitted to this writer in private
conversation: “ ‘churchianity’ is the bane of
the church.” The
institutional mindset is blind to the true nature of the apostasy and it is
looking for some great departure from the church rather than a departure from
the faith once delivered to this movement. Those with the institutional mindset are looking for a
situation to arise in which all the dross is purged from the church and all
that remains is pure gold. The pure gold, they believe, will carry the church
through to a final victorious finalization of the work.
I
would assert that the surprise
of the church’s true state occurs under different situations. For some readers,
it may be at the present time. For others, it could
have occurred many years ago. I
can still remember when it struck me and how I pondered how telling my church
brethren that the church had apostatized would come across as almost
blasphemous to their ears, even as it sounded to mine. Even more, the startling nature of
the situation is ever present, even to this day, as one continues to examine
what has happened, what is happening and what will continue to happen right on
through the little time of trouble and the great time of trouble to come. For
those who have believed in their church, the shock never wears off.”

Addendum
by Ron:
The
Jews worshipped their Temple church. Adventists worship the church and its
leaders rather than the message. And the price, the consequence, will be loss
of eternal life to all who do not awaken to the apostasy and a proper response
to it.
Kevin
has stated the facts, but in an all too casual fashion. The call is not clarion
enough. The facts are that one cannot unite with the corrupt and remain/become
pure. I reminded Kevin of that statement for many years, and I don’t believe he
took it seriously enough. He still has to attend
church as a sort of book signing/selling promotional exercise. That is the
great danger of all who have wares to sell, and I have said that fore decades
as well.
"It
is IMPOSSIBLE for you to unite with those who are corrupt, and still remain
pure. (II Corinthians 6:14-15 quoted). God and Christ and the heavenly host
would have men know that if he unites with the corrupt he will become
corrupt." E. G. White, Review and
Herald, Vol. 4, p. 137.
Members are Held Corporately (AS A BODY)
for the Apostasy
Achan’s sin
involved the entire camp (church) of Israel. SDA’s seem to have a difficult
time believing this Biblical principle.
"The
plain straight testimony must live in the church, or the curse of God will rest
upon His people as surely as it did upon ancient Israel because of their sins.
God holds His people, as a
body [corporately—AS AN ENTIRE CHURCH BODY AS THE CHURCH IS REPRESENTED AS THE
BODY OF CHRIST], responsible for the sins existing in individuals among
them." Testimonies, vol. 3, p.
269.
"Christ has plainly
taught that those who persist in open sin must be separated from the
church..." E. G. White, Christ's Object Lessons, 71.
"The names of those who sin and refuse to repent should not be retained on the church books, lest the saints be held accountable for their evil deeds. Those who pursue a course of transgression should be visited and labored with, and if they then refuse to repent, they should be separated from church fellowship, in accordance with the rules laid down in the Word of God." {11MR 208.3}
The principle of
corporate responsibility, and the fact that it is impossible to unite with the
corrupt and remain/become pure, have been the prime reasons for all separations
that have ever occurred in the history of the church. I keep restating the
following statements because they are so serious.
“Christ was a protestant. He protested
against the formal worship of the Jewish nation, who rejected the
counsel of God against themselves. He told them that they taught for doctrines
the commandments of men, and that they were pretenders and hypocrites. Like
whited sepulchers they were beautiful without, but within full of impurity and
corruption. The Reformers date back to
Christ and the apostles. They
came out and separated themselves from a religion of forms and ceremonies.
Luther and his followers did not invent the reformed religion. They simply
accepted it as presented by Christ and the apostles. The Bible is
presented to us as a sufficient guide; but the pope and
his workers remove it from the people as if it were a curse, because it exposes
their pretensions and rebukes their idolatry.
{RH, June 1, 1886 par. 14}
When a
corporate church engages apostasy and will not put it away and out of the camp,
the faithful must leave or be corporately responsible. This is the reason
Christ and His disciples left. This is why Paul left. This is why Protestants left Rome. This is
why Adventists left the other churches in 1844, when they would not
tolerate light.
Christ
was our example by way of a correct response to abomination apostasy, contrary
to the personal opinion of any who instruct you to
super glue yourself to a pew in any apostate church, and/or any who are totally
unfaithful in their instruction regarding a correct, Christ-like response to
open sin apostasy.
Jesus left
"Christ was a protestant...The Reformers date
back to Christ and the apostles. They came out and separated themselves from a
religion of forms and ceremonies. Luther and his followers did not invent the
reformed religion. They simply accepted it as presented by Christ and the
apostles." E.G. White, Review and Herald, vol. 2, 48, col. 2.
Paul left
“And
he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the
space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the
kingdom of God. 9But when divers were
hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that
way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples,
disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.” Acts 19:8, 9.
“Fearing that the faith of the believers would be
endangered by continued association with these opposers of the truth, Paul
separated from them, and gathered the disciples into a distinct body.” E.G.
White, Acts of the Apostles, p. 285, 286.
The Faithful
Left Away Back in the Times of Shiloh Because of the Corrupt Priests
"The recreant priests added licentiousness to
the dark catalogue of their crimes yet they still
polluted by their presence the tabernacle of the Lord, and, laden with sin, dared
to come into the presence of a holy God. As the men of Israel witnessed the
corrupt course of the priests, they thought it safer for their families not to
come up to the appointed place of worship. Many went from Shiloh with their
peace disturbed, their indignation aroused, until they at last determined to
offer their sacrifices themselves, concluding that this would be fully as
acceptable to God, as to sanction in any manner the abominations practiced in
the Sanctuary." E.G. White, The Signs of the Times, vol. 1, p. 264, col. 3, December 1,
1881.
Shiloh (/ˈʃaɪloʊ/;
Hebrew: שִׁלוֹ ,שִׁילֹה ,שִׁלֹה, and שִׁילוֹ variably) was an ancient city
in Samaria mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. ... Shiloh was the
major Israelite worship centre before the first Temple was built in Jerusalem.
The meaning of the word "Shiloh" is unclear. (Obtained by
Googling the words: Shiloh in Bible history.
"The Sanhedrin had rejected Christ's
message and was bent upon His death therefore Jesus departed from Jerusalem, from the priests, the temple, the
religious leaders, the people who had been instructed in the law, and turned to
another class to proclaim His message, and to gather out those who should carry the
gospel to all nations.
As the light and life of men was rejected by the
ecclesiastical authorities in the days of Christ, so it has been rejected in
every succeeding generation. Again and again the
history of Christ's withdrawal from Judea has been repeated. When the Reformers
preached the word of God, they had no thought of separating themselves from the
established church but the religious leaders would not
tolerate the light, and those that bore it were forced to seek another class,
who were longing for the truth. In our day few of the professed followers of the Reformers are actuated
by their spirit. Few are listening for the voice of God, and ready to accept
truth in whatever guise it may be presented. Often those who follow in the
steps of the Reformers are forced to turn away from the churches they love, in order to declare the plain teaching of the word of God.
And many times those who are seeking for light are by
the same teaching obliged to leave the church of their fathers, that they may
render obedience." E.G. White, Desire of Ages, 232.
Men like Vance Ferrell, Walter Veith,
Andrew Henriques, and most every SDA, think that all you have
to do is go from a bad SDA church to another that is better. In a recent
video, Andrew said: “COME HERE,” meaning his church. He totally denies the
implicit complicity of the Bible principle of corporate responsibility for all
the abominations in the Corporate SDA church BODY, as does every MEMBER of the
omega new movement “church.”
The Lord has shown me that the above
named individuals and most SDA leaders are too smart to be ignorant of
the principle of corporate responsibility, and that they do not obey it because
of the love of mammon, and a large audience, and for selling their wares. In
other words, just as soon as any leader advocates the principle of corporate
responsibility to separate from any and all apostate
churches. Were it possible to merely form small segregated groups in any
apostate church, vowing to not imbibe the apostasy, separation would never have
been advocated and practised by Jesus and His followers.
“Mark this point with care; those who receive the
pure mark of truth, wrought in them by the power of the Holy Ghost, represented
by the man in linen, are those "that sigh and cry for all the abominations
that are done" in
the church.
Their love for purity and the honor and glory of God is such, and they have so clear a view of the exceeding sinfulness of sin, that they
are represented as being in an agony, even sighing and crying.” E. G. White
{RH, June 8, 1886 par. 2}
Isa
58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their
transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
Will
the leaders ever obey the above commandment?
"Here we see that the church--the Lord's
sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient
men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of
the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken
the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of
God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their
unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He
is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus 'Peace and safety’ is the
cry from men who will never
again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's
people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These
dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an
offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together." E.
G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211.
How could the new movement ever be purged and
purified when its leaders will NEVER AGAIN show the people their sins. It is
the True Reformers who are doing this. They are the faithful leaders at the
end-time.
I have been remiss in one thing. I have said that
SDA leaders do not admit to the church being in any apostasy. They do so
however unwittingly when they admit to being Laodicean, errantly thinking that
Laodicea, the foolish virgin state of the church, is the final church. But it
gets far worse than this: The leaders have become cold apostate by desiring to
become like the fallen churches we are to warn against.
Here is the overwhelming, most startling surprise
that you could teach to foolish virgin Laodiceans who feel rich, increased with
goods, and in need of nothing and that the church is flourishing:
Isa 37:31 And the remnant that
is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit
upward:
Isa 37:32 For out of Jerusalem
shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of
the LORD of hosts shall do this.
"The Bible for Our Time.--Never are we
absent from the mind of God. God is our joy and our salvation. Each of the ancient prophets
spoke less for their own time than for ours, so that their prophesying is in
force for us. 'Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples:
and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are
come' (1 Cor. 10:11). 'Not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the
things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel
unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven which things the angels
desire to look into' (1 Peter 1:12).'" E.G. White, Selected
Messages, Bk.
3, p. 338.
Prophets Wrote for Their Own and Our Day.—“The last books of the
Old Testament show us workers taken from the laborers in the field. Others were
men of high ability and extensive learning, but the Lord gave them visions and
messages. These men of the Old Testament spoke of things transpiring in their
day, and Daniel, Isaiah, and Ezekiel not only spoke of things that concerned
them as present truth, but
their sights reached down to the future, and to what should occur in these last
days.”--Letter 132, 1898. {3SM 419.5, 420}
“Enoch, the seventh from Adam, was ever prophesying
the coming of the Lord. This great event had been revealed to him in vision.
Abel, though dead, is ever speaking of the blood of Christ which alone can make
our offerings and gifts perfect. The Bible has accumulated and bound up
together its treasures for this last generation. All the great events and solemn
transactions of Old Testament history have been, and are, repeating themselves
in the church in these last days. There is Moses still speaking, teaching self-renunciation by wishing
himself blotted from the Book of Life for his fellow men, that they might be
saved. David is leading the intercession of the church for the salvation of
souls to the ends of the earth. The prophets are still testifying of the
sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow. There the whole
accumulated truths are presented in force to us that we may profit by their
teachings. We are under the influence of the whole. What manner of persons
ought we to be to whom all this rich light of inheritance has been given.
Concentrating all the influence of the past with new and increased light of the
present, accrued power is given to all who will follow the light. Their faith
will increase, and be brought into exercise at the present
time, awakening an energy and an intensely increased earnestness, and
through dependence upon God for His power to replenish the world and send the
light of the Sun of Righteousness to the ends of the earth.” {7MR 417.2}
I
would strongly recommend that you purchase Kevin’s book. The Kindle price is
quite reasonable. The book makes a deep investigation into all the abominations
for which we are to sigh and cry. Only those who do so will be sealed for
salvation by the Man in Linen:
“Mark this point with care; those who receive the
pure mark of truth, wrought in them by the power of the Holy Ghost, represented
by the man in linen, are those "that sigh and cry for all the abominations
that are done" in
the church.
Their love for purity and the honor and glory of God is such, and they have so clear a view of the exceeding sinfulness of sin, that they
are represented as being in an agony, even sighing and crying.” E. G. White
{RH, June 8, 1886 par. 2}
But I warn against the laxity of men like Kevin
Straub, Herbert E. Douglass, Vance Ferrell, Walter Veith
and Andrew Henriques, when it comes to their refusal to give a clarion response
to the apostasy that they denounce. While you listen to their teachings, never
cease to recall to mind the living fact that they are
corporately responsible for every abomination they cite. And this applies to
all who support them with the sacred tithe, as well.
Do you believe Isaiah 37:31, 32 is spoken to and
for YOU? That is the most colossal, MOST STARTLING SURPRISE for professing new
movement Seventh-day Adventists. I pray you won’t have to lose eternal life
discovering this is FACTUAL PURE TRUTH. This is the greatest surprise possible
for those who think they are all right and know it all, when they are all
wrong:
"The state of the Church represented by
the foolish virgins, is also spoken of as the Laodicean state." E. G.
White, Review and Herald Articles, Vol. 2, 420,
8/19/1890.
Do you believe the statement? The foolish virgins
are not saved!
"The church is in the Laodicean state. The
presence of God is not in her midst." E.G. White, Notebook
Leaflets, p.
99, 1898.
"To the end of time, the presence of the
Spirit is to abide with the true church." E.G. White, Acts of the
Apostles, p.
55.
“The Testimony For The
Church—The Laodicean Church—What greater deception can come upon human minds
than a confidence that they are right when they are ALL WRONG?” Testimonies, Vol. 3, pp. 253,
It is true that during the lifetime of Ellen White,
the church vacillated between being Laodicean and having a refreshing from the
Holy Spirit. But that ended forever when the church committed unpardonable
abominations like forming a new movement that removed God and pillar doctrines
like the truth on the human nature of Christ, and the Godhead WHICH MEANS
EVERYTHING TO US, and when any error on this issue sweeps away the entire
Christian economy and not just the first and third angels messages, as some are
errantly teaching.
"You are not definitely clear on the personality of God, which is
everything to us as a people. You have virtually destroyed the Lord God
Himself." EGW letter 300 1903, to Kellogg in the Alpha Heresy.
An Adventist minister told me years ago that he
knew how to make a lot of money with Adventists. His formula was to cite all
the abominations, but to never tell them the proper response: to leave their
beloved church. A.T. Jones said something similar. He quoted Martin Luther as
saying that the Catholic church would tolerate one saying anything about it,
short of calling people out so as to take away money from the church coffers. The
SDA church does about the same.
From the inception of my ministry, I have given the
clarion call to come out from all churches that are in open sin abominable
apostasy. It’s not a popular message, and it’s not a money
making proposition, but it is the example taught by the life of our Lord
and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
