My Vision on The Man in Linen

Part 2

Early in the night of Sabbath, November 3, 2018, the Lord instructed me that I should present to His people, exactly HOW Jesus marks (seals) those of Ezekiel 9 who sigh and cry for all the abomination. I was shown that this “rest of the story,” casts a different light on J. Wilfred Johnson’s statement that Elijah is the Man in Linen in Ezekiel 9. I Part 1, you will notice that I did not say Mr. Johnson was entirely errant. When I said that, I was impressed by the Holy Spirit that there was more to come, and more has come.

First of all, my initial response to my friend in the UK, will give insight as to why I did not say that Mr. Johnson was entirely wrong. Here is my first response to my friend.

Ultimately ALL judgment is committed unto Jesus, the Son. However, in some cases, Ellen White said that there is more than one answer and that to say that certain passage means ONLY THIS OR THAT, is not actuated by the Holy Spirit.

Jhn 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

This is one of those cases in which there are a number of answers that are different, but all correct. For example, Jesus told His disciples that whomever they bound (sealed) on earth would be bound in heaven. She said that the THIRD ANGEL is faithful men who select the wheat from the tares.

"I was shown that the THIRD ANGEL, proclaiming the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, represents the PEOPLE who receive this message and raise the voice in warning to the world." Testimonies for the Church, vol. 1, 77.

"I then saw the THIRD ANGEL. Said my accompanying angel, 'Fearful is his work. Awful is his mission. He is the angel that is to select the wheat from the tares, and seal, or bind, the wheat for the heavenly garner." E.G. White, Early Writings, 118.

"Verily I say unto you," Christ continued, "whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Verse 18. [Matthew 18:18.]

This statement holds its force in all ages. On the church has been conferred the power to act in Christ's stead. It is God's instrumentality for the preservation of order and discipline among His people. To it the Lord has delegated the power to settle all questions respecting its prosperity, purity, and order. Upon it rests the responsibility of excluding from its fellowship those who are unworthy, who by their un-Christlike conduct would bring dishonor on the truth. Whatever the church does that is in accordance with the directions given in God's word will be ratified in heaven.” 7T 263.

Note added by Ron this Nov. 3, 2018: Let it be understood that Ellen White is referring to God’s true church, and NOT ANY NEW MOVEMENT THAT FORMED “AMONG” WITHIN the once SDA church militant. End note.

Third Angel—“No one hears the voice of these angels, for they are a symbol to represent the people of God who are working in harmony with the universe of heaven. Men and women, enlightened by the Spirit of God and sanctified through the truth, proclaim the three messages in their order.” E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk. 2, p. 387.

"The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message, symbolizes a class of faithful men, who obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth. This message WAS NOT to be committed to the religious leaders of the people." E.. White, The Spirit of Prophecy, vol. 4, 199, 200.

The Elijah Message is given by the THIRD ANGEL, faithful men, the bride, the 144,000. But the Elijah message is from Christ, as given to Elijah. So both Mr. Johnson and I are correct.

Faithful men select the wheat from the tares by giving the shaking message. But where do they get the shaking message? From the Spirit of Elijah, which is derived from the Holy Spirit soul of the life of Christ's Divine Nature.

All who reject the shaking message are shaken out of the Kingdom of God.

Mr. Johnson was errant on one serious point. He stated that one must remain In Jerusalem, the apostate church, in order to receive the seal by the Man in Linen. That is proven errant by the fact that Jesus "gathered out" of the apostate church in Jerusalem those who would take the gospel to the world. Desire of Ages, p. 232. Then when the 490 years of probation ended for Israel, the disciples gathered out faithful Christians into home churches. These home churches were true Jerusalem which the disciples SEALED by their shaking message. But the Spirit and the message derived from Christ, the Judge of all things.

The disciples had their headquarters in Jerusalem as well. So where was true Jerusalem? There was absolutely no virtue in the apostate Temple to seal anyone after God’s presence departed when the vail was rent in the Temple when Christ died on the cross.

The new movement has removed and crucified Christ afresh by removing pillar doctrines and bringing in AMONG Adventists antichrist doctrines that sweep away the entire Christian economy. Ellen White said that God's presence is not in the midst of Laodicea. Here is Ellen White's comment on Revelation 3 in the SDA Bible Commentary:

(Vs. 14-18.) Read the Third Chapter of Revelation—In the message to the church at Sardis two parties are presented—those who have a name to live, but are dead; and those who are striving to overcome. Study this message, found in the third chapter of Revelation. [Revelation 3:1, 2 quoted.] Who are meant by those that are ready to die? and what has made them thus? The explanation is given, “I have not found thy works perfect before God.” [Vs. 3-5 quoted.] {7BC 959.4}

If Laodiceans are the foolish virgin state of the church, as Ellen White says, what are the ones (Laodiceans) who repent. I asked the Lord to show me the correct meaning of the above statement. He showed me that His bride is taken from Laodicea to His own house (COL, pp. 405-406). That House is Philadelphia, (Zion/Sion) the bride (Isaiah 62:`-5), the True Reformers who are written (registered in heaven) Heb. 12:22, 23. The bride is removed first, for she has to be prepared to give the Loud Midnight Cry, and she cannot be defiled with women (apostate churches) lest Christ’s head be on the body of an apostate church. "The voice of God AND THE VOICE OF THE BRIDE" AWAKEN ALL TEN VIRGINS (COL 405). The Laodiceans who respond to the bride's call, but who do not qualify as the bride, are Sardis.

What is meant by those that are ready to die? They will be the faithful martyrs who come out of the church at the Midnight Cry, if they have not heard and rejected the invitation to be the bride. Their works were not perfected as were those of Philadelphia, the bride. So they give testament to their sincerity by becoming martyrs. Ellen White says there will be many martyrs.

Ellen White said that ALL CHURCHES ARE LAODICEAN--THAT MEANS ALL DENOMINATIONS. She said that the Laodicean message applies to them all. So this means that ALL FROM ALL FALLEN CHURCHES THAT RESPOND TO THE FINAL MIDNIGHT CRY CALL, WILL DO SO AS MARTYRS, BECAUSE ONLY THE 144,000 ARE TRANSLATED WITHOUT SEEING DEATH. That will involve a huge number of martyrs.

The invitation to the bride to leave her father's house (The Synagogue of Satan, ye are of your father the devil said Christ to the Jews) is being given now. All who accept the Elijah shaking message will become the bride that gives the loud cry call. Christ is waiting for His bride to make herself ready. That is our calling, to aid the bride in making herself ready.

The Holy Spirit gave me a vision that I should stress that the above answer is correct. Does it contradict Part 1 on this issue. Not at all unless Jesus contradicts Himself in Matthew 18, and of course He does not:

"Verily I say unto you," Christ continued, "whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Verse 18. [Matthew 18:18.]

Even though technically it is Jesus who is the Man in Linen. He uses “prophetic license” as to “HOW” He places the Mark of the Man in Linen. And when we consider the full truth on that point, Mr. Johnson was not really errant when He said that Elijah is the Man in Linen, nor am I errant when I say that Christ is the Man in Linen.

Jesus told His disciples that whomever they bound (SEALED) on earth, would be bound (SEALED) in heaven. So applying prophetic license, in that sense, the disciples functioned as the Man in Linen in regard to “HOW” the Man in Linen, Christ, chose to place the Mark upon men or seal them.

John the Baptist prepared the bride for Jesus. Desire of Ages, 179. At this end-time, the Spirit of Elijah prepares a bride for Jesus just as John the Baptist did. They came/come with a shaking message, and it is that shaking message that shakes the lukewarm fence sitters to one side or the other OFF THE FENCE. In that sense, they function as the Man in Linen at the direction of Christ who IS the Man in Linen. This application is of prophetic license and it is truth.

The Third Angel Selects the Wheat From the Tares

There is often far more truth to any issue than what appears to surface only readers. For example, you will hear many Adventists say that only the angels will separate the wheat from the tares. The full truth on this issue is that angels are messengers, and Ellen White says that the THIRD ANGEL is faithful men who select the wheat from the tares.

In the sense of the above statement, Mr. Johnson was correct in saying that Elijah is the Man in Linen, as was John the Baptist, the disciples, and as are the THIRD ANGEL, FAITHFUL MEN, TRUE REFORMERS, ALL serving in the capacity as the Man in Linen. How so? Because the Man in Linen used/uses all these human sources to SEAL OR BIND—SELECT THE WHEAT FROM THE TARES AND BIND IT FOR THE HEAVENLY GARNER.

The Bible says that the reapers are the angels. Ellen White applied prophetic license to say that the THIRD ANGEL is faithful men. Jesus said the same thing when He told His disciples that whomever they bound on earth would be bound in heaven. They were His bride. Desire of Ages, 179. The 144,000 are Christ’s bride at the end-time. They are Philadelphian, Zion (Sion) faithful men reformers:

Third angel "I was shown that the THIRD ANGEL, proclaiming the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, represents the PEOPLE who receive this message and raise the voice in warning to the world." Testimonies for the Church, vol. 1, 77.

Mat 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Where are the Tares Burned? In the Field, In the Apostate Church (Ezekiel 22:17-31)

The once Church Militant as the Field

"The 'field,' Christ said, 'is the world.' But we must understand this as signifying the church of Christ in the world. The parable is a description of that which pertains to the kingdom of God, His work of salvation of men and this work is accomplished through the church. True, the Holy Spirit has gone out into all the world everywhere it is moving upon the hearts of men but it is in the church that we are to grow and ripen for the garner of God." Christ's Object Lessons, p. 70.

The garner is the barn, the church in heaven—Heb. 12:22, 23 and Matthew Chapter 13.

Mat 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

Ellen White used prophet license to say that the THIRD ANGEL selects the wheat from the tares. Notice:

It is the three angels messages that separate the tares by their call OUT OF BABYLON, AND THEIR FINAL CALL OUT OF APOSTATE JERUSALEM, Isaiah 37:31, 32.

Ellen White said that the Ezekiel 9 Man in Linen is Christ when she said the mark is wrought by the power of the Holy Ghost which is the Divine Nature of Jesus Christ. She also says that THE ANGEL with the writer’s ink horn is to place the MARK on the foreheads of all who are separated from sin and sinners. Both are correct. How so? Because Christ is also a messenger, an angel, the Arc Angel Michael. So we see that sometimes there are multiple answers which “appear” to contradict, when they are actually ALL CORRECT.

“Mark this point with care: Those who receive the pure mark of truth, wrought in them by the power of the Holy Ghost, represented by a mark by the man in linen, are those “that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done” in the church. Their love for purity and the honor and glory of God is such, and they have so clear a view of the exceeding sinfulness of sin, that they are represented as being in agony, even sighing and crying. Read the ninth chapter of Ezekiel.” {3T 267.1}

“The angel with the writer’s ink horn is to place a mark upon the foreheads of all who are separated from sin and sinners, and the destroying angel follows this angel.” (Letter 12, 1886). {4BC 1161.5}

Considering all of the above evidence as to “HOW” Christ places the Mark (SEAL) on His subjects for salvation. Mr. Johnson was not wrong when he said that Elijah is the Man in Linen, when we consider that Elijah was/is imbued with the Holy Spirit of Christ, and his message causes a shaking in that he, like John the Baptist taught/teach repentance and true repentance is a CEASING FROM SIN, and the majority of SDA leaders are teaching that we cannot CEASE FROM ALL SIN THIS SIDE OF GLORIFICATION. That is a shaking message, for the angel places a Mark upon all who are separated from sin and sinners.

If you don’t think the separation issue is a shaking one, just start teaching the truth on this issue and see what happens.

Are Vance Ferrell, Andrew Henriques, Walter Veith, Bill Hughes, Ty Gibson, James Rafferty, Colin Standish and Doug Batchelor, teaching that the bride must NOW be separated from sin and sinners so that she is not defiled with women (apostate churches)? Rev. 14:1-5. Are they teaching corporate responsibility for the apostasy? Are they teaching that it is IMPOSSIBLE to unite with the corrupt and remain/become pure? And that it is impossible for the wheat to mature amongst thorns (open sin apostasy)? And that if open sin cannot be removed from the church, we must remove ourselves?

1Tim 5:20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

"It is IMPOSSIBLE for you to unite with those who are corrupt, and still remain pure. (II Corinthians 6:14-15 quoted). God and Christ and the heavenly host would have men know that if he unites with the corrupt he will become corrupt." E. G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 4, p. 137.

"Thorns sprung up.--The thorns made it impossible for the wheat to mature (see Luke 8:14). In the same way secular interests prevent the fruits of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22, 23) from reaching maturity. Religion is relegated to the subordinate position of being only one interest among many. For lack of cultivation it withers and eventually dies. That which the thorny-ground hearers lack is a moral transformation. To them, justification is the sum and substance of religion, and they fail to realize that the Christian life consists essentially in the process known as sanctification--the process by which evil traits and tendencies are replaced by the perfect life-pattern of Jesus Christ." Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary, vol. 5, 405.

The wheat can mature amongst tares [insincere believers whose motives we would have to judge in order to remove them], but the wheat cannot mature amongst thorns, open, apostate sinners, because they choke out and kill the wheat. This is why true reformers have separated from open sin apostate churches in every succeeding generation, Desire of Ages, 232. On that page, note that the only reason for separation of the true reformers given is that the ecclesiastical leaders would not tolerate light--truth.

“The old standard bearers knew what it was to wrestle with God in prayer, and to enjoy the outpouring of His Spirit. But these are passing off from the stage of action; and who are coming up to fill their places? How is it with the rising generation? Are they converted to God? Are we awake to the work that is going on in the heavenly sanctuary, or are we waiting for some compelling power to come upon the church before we shall arouse? Are we hoping to see the whole church revived? That time will never come.” {1SM 122.1}

Since the angel with the writer’s ink horn is to place a MARK (SEAL) on the foreheads of all who are separated from sin AND SINNERS, and the whole church will NEVER REVIVE. It should be obvious to the discerning reader that this DEMANDS another separation from an omega of apostasy once church militant that will NEVER AGAIN show the House of Jacob its sins, and that Isaiah 37:31, 32 has a final application at the end-time:

Begin at My Sanctuary -- "Here we see that the church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus 'Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will NEVER AGAIN lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211.

QUESTION:

How would the once church militant separate sinners from its camp if its dumb dog peace and safety watchmen NEVER AGAIN life up their voice like a trumpet to show God’s people their transgressions and the HOUSE OF JACOB their sins?

How would the once church militant separate sinners from its camp when Ellen White said that the alpha and omega apostasy will wax stronger until Jesus comes? The context of the following statement is wherein Ellen White is speaking against the alpha and omega heresy in Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 7, p. 57.

Wax stronger "One thing it is certain is soon to be realized, the great apostasy, which is developing and increasing and waxing stronger, and will continue to do so until the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout. We are to hold fast the first principles of our denominated faith, and go forward from strength to increased faith. Ever we are to keep the faith that has been substantiated by the Holy Spirit of God from the earlier events of our experience until the present time. We need now larger breadth, and deeper, more earnest, unwavering faith in the leadings of the Holy Spirit. If we needed the manifest proof of the Holy Spirit's power to confirm truth in the beginning, after the passing of the time, we need to-day all the evidence in the confirmation of the truth, when souls are departing from the faith and giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. There must not be any languishing of soul now." (E.G. White, Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 7, p. 57).

"The enemy will set everything in operation to uproot the confidence of the believers in the pillars of our faith in the messages of the past, which have placed us upon the elevated platform of eternal truth, and which have established and given character to the work. The Lord God of Israel has led out His people, unfolding to them truth of heavenly origin." "The truth for this time is precious, but those whose hearts have not been broken by falling on the Rock Christ Jesus, will not see and understand what is truth. They will accept that which pleases their ideas, and will begin to manufacture another foundation than that which is laid. They will flatter their own vanity and esteem, thinking that they are capable of removing the pillars of our faith, and replacing them with pillars they have devised. This will continue to be as long as time shall last." Notebook, Leaflets, pp. 61-62.

"The leaven of godliness has not entirely lost its power. At the time when the danger and depression of the church are greatest, [AFTER the Sunday Law] the little company who are standing in the light will be sighing and crying for the abominations that are done in the land. But more especially will their prayers arise in behalf of the church because its members are doing after the manner of the world. (Ellen G. White, “The Seal of God,” Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 5, page 209.

“The Lord has a controversy with his professed people … men in responsible positions ( The General Conference ) will … ignore and despise the Sabbath themselves… In churches and in large gatherings in the open air, ministers will urge upon the people the necessity of keeping SUNDAY.” {RH March 18, 1884 par.8}

"The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A NEW ORGANIZATION would be established. Books of a NEW ORDER would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the NEW MOVEMENT. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but GOD BEING REMOVED, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure.

Who has authority to begin such a [NEW] movement? We have our Bibles, we have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the Holy Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not repudiate everything that is not in harmony with this truth? E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk. 1, 204, 205.

More Supporting Evidence

"Characteristics of True Reformers.--Here are given the characteristics of those who shall be reformers, who will bear the banner of the third angel's message, those who avow themselves God's commandment-keeping people, and who honor God, and are earnestly engaged, in the sight of all the universe, in building up the old waste places. Who is it that calls them, The repairers of the breach, The restorers of paths to dwell in? It is God. Their names are registered [written--Heb. 12:22, 23] in heaven as reformers, restorers, as raising the foundations of many generations." E. G. White, SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 4, 1151, & Review and Herald, Oct. 13, 1891.

“It is no argument against the truth that there are few who are willing to accept it. Few accepted the world's Redeemer. Though the multitude flocked around him, eager to receive temporal blessings, yet he sadly declared: "Ye will not come to me that ye might have life." Men are now no more favorable to practical godliness; they are just as intently seeking earthly good, to the neglect of eternal riches. And reformers of the present day will meet with the same discouragements as did their Master.” {ST, January 28, 1886 par. 3}

Indifference and Neutrality in a Crisis: "If God abhors one sin above another, of which HIS PEOPLE are guilty, it is of doing nothing in a case of emergency. Indifference or neutrality in a religious crisis is regarded of God as a grievous crime and equal to the very worst type of hostility against God." E.G. White, Review and Herald, vol. 1, p. 136. Also, Testimonies, Vol. 3, p. 281.

Is it indifference and neutrality in a crisis for leaders like Walter Veith to tell SDA’s to super glue themselves to a pew at the apostate church and stay for the slay? It certainly is!

Since Ellen White said that all the ancient prophets wrote more for us than the Jews, what would Walter Veith and every MEMBER of the SDA once church militant say about Isaiah 37:31, 32. Is that exactly what occurred in the last literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 from A.D. 27-70? The only Jews who were spared were those who obeyed Isaiah in those verses. So it will be again in the next literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 BEGINNING AT HIS CHURCH, HIS SANCTUARY, THE HOUSE OF JACOB. 5T 211.

"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling will YOU hear? Will YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley, September 26, 1909.)" E. G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260.

“The time will soon come when the prophecy of Ezekiel 9 will be fulfilled; that prophecy should be carefully studied, for it will be fulfilled to the very letter.”— Ellen G. White 1888 Materials, p. 1303.

The chapter wherein the following statement appears begins on page 207, quoting Ezekiel 9:

"Thus the message of the third angel will be proclaimed. As the time comes for it to be given with greatest power, the Lord will work through humble instruments, leading the minds of those who consecrate themselves to his service. The laborers will be qualified rather by the unction of his Spirit than by the training of literary institutions. Men of faith and prayer will be constrained to go forth with holy zeal, declaring the words which God gives them. The sins of Babylon will be laid open...Thousands upon thousands will listen who have never heard words like these. In amazement they hear the testimony that Babylon is the church, fallen because of her errors and sins, because of her rejection of the truth sent to her from heaven. As the people go to their former teachers with the eager inquiry, Are these things so? the ministers present fables, prophesy smooth things, to soothe their fears, and quiet the awakened conscience. But since many refuse to be satisfied with the mere authority of men, and demand a plain 'Thus saith the Lord,' the popular ministry, like the Pharisees of old, filled with anger as their authority is questioned, will denounce the message as of Satan, and stir up the sin-loving multitudes to revile and persecute those who proclaim it." E.G. White, The Great Controversy, p. 606.

Conclusions

Sometimes there are many different variations on a theme regarding some truths of the Word of God, and they are all true, while to some they might appear as contradictory. Ellen White said that some things in her writings might appear to contradict. She said that there are things in the Bible that appear to contradict. I say the same thing about my findings.
