My Vision on
One Sacrifice for Sins – One Incarnation
Sacrifice of
The Soul of His Life for Empowerment
Heb 10:12 But this
man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
In the
early morning hours of Friday, September 15, 2017, I was given a vision as to
how Jesus, the Son of God, made two sacrifices that constituted one sacrifice
when the two were completed. I have mentioned before that most of my visions
have occurred in the night season, but I have had visions during the day and
even while speaking to someone. Mr. J. Wilfred Johnson said that he was given
his vision on Regeneration while teaching a college class. Ellen White received
visions of the night and day, even while speaking to others she was taken in
vision. Below is what I was shown on the sacrifices that involved the
Everlasting Covenant. I am obliged to review the old in order
to better explain the new aspects and that new readers might better
comprehend this most fundamental and important of all issues. I repeat certain
statements for important emphasis and articulation purposes.
Ellen
White makes two very curious statements about Christ being our redeemer. In one
statement she says that in the Incarnation sacrifice,
Christ met the prescribed limit of a sacrifice, BUT NOT AS OUR REDEEMER. In
another, she says that Christ was our redeemer before and after the
Incarnation. I cite these two different statements below as statements A and B,
to wit:
STATEMENT A: "The darkness rolled away from
the Saviour and from the Cross. Christ bowed His head and died. In His Incarnation He had reached the prescribed
limit as a sacrifice, but not
as a redeemer."

STATEMENT B: “The world has been committed to
Christ, and through Him has come every blessing from God to the fallen race. He was the Redeemer before as
after His incarnation. As soon as there was sin, there was a Saviour. He has given light and
life to all, and according to the measure of light given, each is to be judged.
Desire of Ages, p. 210.
I asked the Lord to teach me the resolution to the
above “apparent” contradictory statements, which are not contradictory when
properly understood. Here is what I was shown which dispels any contradictory
element:
In the Statement A sacrifice, provision was
made for the gift of the Holy Spirit as empowerment to overcome sin. But that
gift did not redeem us from past sins by Christ taking them upon Himself, as He
did at the Cross sacrifice. Thus, He was not yet in actual fulfillment our Redeemer. Also, Christ had not yet proven that it was/is possible
for man to overcome all sin by the gift of the Holy Spirit. This VICTORY He
demonstrated in His human capacity (Person), and this proof of VICTORY OVER SIN
had to materialize before man’s redemption was possible; before He could be our
example.
In Statement B, some who are bereft of spiritual
discernment, would use this to falsely accuse Ellen White of making a
contradictory statement. But the truth of the matter is that the plan of
salvation existed even before sin, as God knows the beginning to the end of all
things. Scripture says that Christ was slain from the foundation of the earth.
That verse means that the Son of God was acquainted with the sacrifices
involved with the Incarnation and the Cross from eternity, for His Holy Spirit
Divine Nature possessed all the omni’s as well.
From the foundation of the earth, He volunteered to
be our Redeemer, having always known the nature of the sacrifices involved. He
volunteered to be the Testator of the Everlasting Covenant. In making such an
important LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT, He would never defer from it, nor default in
it in any manner. An EVERLASTING COVENANT IS AN EVERLASTING ONE! The voluntary
decision was made long before the actual Incarnation, and the fact that it was
called the EVERLASTING COVENANT by God, means that it would never be annulled
or unfulfilled. It is thus from this type of reasoning that Ellen White said
that He was the Redeemer before as after His Incarnation.
In and of itself, the Incarnation met the
prescribed limit as a sacrifice, and that prescribed limit
was death of the Testator of the Everlasting Covenant.
"The Incarnation of Christ was an act of self-sacrifice; His life was one of
continual self-denial. The highest glory
of the love of God to man was manifested in the sacrifice of His only-begotten
Son, who was the express image of His person. This is the great mystery of
godliness. It is the privilege and the duty of every professed follower of
Christ to have the mind of Christ. Without self-denial and cross bearing we cannot be His disciples." E.G. White, Selected
Messages, Book 2, p. 185.
Ellen White said that the Cross was a sacrifice,
which we are all aware of:
“God’s servants need a realization of the value of
souls. Christ died for human beings. His sacrifice on
the cross is the measure of their value in God’s sight.” {RH March 17, 1903, par. 1}
“The spirit of liberality is the spirit of
heaven. This spirit finds its highest manifestation in Christ’s
sacrifice on the cross. In our behalf the Father gave His
only-begotten Son; and Christ, having given up all that He had, then gave
Himself, that man might be saved. The cross of Calvary should appeal to the
benevolence of every follower of the Saviour. The principle there illustrated
is to give, give. “He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to
walk, even as He walked.” 1 John 2:6. {AA 339.2}
The Incarnation began in the heavenly Sanctuary. It
was there that the Son of God emptied Himself of His omni attributes that would
be cumbered by His humanity, to the degree that His humanity had to become an
independent person from His Holy Spirit Divine Nature.
"Cumbered with humanity Christ could not be in every
place personally, therefore it was altogether for their advantage that He
should leave them to go to His Father and send the Holy Spirit to be His
successor on earth. The Holy Spirit is Himself divested of the personality of
humanity and independent thereof. He would represent Himself as present in all
places by His Holy Spirit.” E.G. White,

“The Holy Spirit is the Comforter, in Christ's
name. He personifies Christ, yet is a distinct personality. We may have the Holy Spirit if we ask for it and
make it [a] habit to turn to and trust in God rather than in any finite human
agent who may make mistakes.” {20MR 324.2}
Did
Jesus say His Holy Spirit was in heaven while His humanity was on Earth? (Jesus
is the speaker in John 3:12-15) This should be used with Ellen White’s cumbered
statement. Jesus was in heaven while on earth.
“If I
have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I
tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up
to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even
the Son of man which IS IN HEAVEN. And as
Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so
must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:12-15 KJV)
Neither of the Two Sacrifices Would be Efficacious (of
any Avail) Without the Other
The
heavenly Incarnation sacrifice would not be complete without the Cross
sacrifice, and vice versa.
The
Incarnation sacrifice that occurred in the heavenly Sanctuary provided the gift
of the Holy Spirit as a regenerating agency, an empowerment agency, that we
might overcome sin, and without this heavenly Sanctuary sacrifice, the
sacrifice of Christ on the Cross would have been of no avail but to a sin
confess, sin confess religion, like unto that taught by Roman Catholicism. But
Christ deigned that we be overcomers, and He gives grace (HOLY SPIRIT POWER)
for obedience, Romans 1:5, in addition to PARDON for sin.
The
Cross sacrifice included Christ taking all our sins upon Himself as the
antitypical sacrificial Lamb. It also proved that we can overcome sin unto
death if necessary, as Christ did. This would have been impossible without the
gift of the Incarnation, the Holy Spirit Divine Nature.
"Christ
declared that after his ascension, he would send to his church, as his crowning gift,
the Comforter, who was to take his place.
This Comforter is the Holy Spirit,--the soul
of his life, the efficacy of his church, the light and life of the
world. With his Spirit Christ sends a reconciling influence and a power that
takes away sin.
In
the gift of the Spirit [HIS LIFE--THE SOUL OF HIS LIFE], Jesus gave to man the highest good that heaven could bestow....
The
Spirit was given as a regenerating agency, and without this the sacrifice of Christ
would have been of no avail....
It is by the Spirit that the heart is made
pure. Through the Spirit the believer becomes a partaker of the divine nature.
Christ has given his Spirit as a divine power to overcome all hereditary and
cultivated tendencies to evil, and to impress his own character upon the

“They
must have His grace, the Spirit of Christ, to help their infirmities, or
they cannot form a Christian character. Jesus loves to have us come to Him,
just as we are—sinful, helpless, dependent.” Faith and Works, p. 38.
“There
must be a power working from within, a new life from above, before man
can be changed from sin to holiness. That
power is Christ. His grace [the Spirit of Christ] alone can quicken the
lifeless faculties of the soul, and attract it to God, to holiness.” (ST, May
28, 1902, par. 3).
Our
Dispositions Unchanged
“If
you would be a saint in heaven you must first be a saint on earth. The traits
of character you cherish in life will not be changed by death or by the
resurrection. You will come up from the grave with the same disposition you
manifested in your home and in society. Jesus does not change the
character at His coming. The work of transformation must be done now.
Our daily lives are determining our destiny. Defects of character must be
repented of and overcome through the grace of Christ, and a symmetrical
character must be formed while in this probationary state, that we may be
fitted for the mansions above.”--13MR 82 (1891).

“The
Glory that the Father gave to Christ is given to us: “Jesus is waiting to
breathe upon all his disciples, and give them the inspiration of his
sanctifying spirit, and transfuse the vital influence from himself to his
people . . . Christ is to live in his
human agents, and work through their faculties, and act through their
capabilities. Their will must be submitted to His will, they must act with His Spirit, that it may be no more they that
live, but Christ that liveth in them.
Jesus is seeking to impress upon them the thought that in giving His Holy Spirit He is
giving to them the glory which the Father has given Him, that He and
His people may be one in God.” Signs of
the Times, October 3, 1892, par. 4.
“Christ had stooped to take upon Himself man’s
nature; He was to bear an infinite weight of woe as He should make His soul an offering for sin; yet angels desire
that even in His humiliation the Son of the Highest might appear before men
with a dignity and glory befitting His character.” E.G. White, The Great Controversy, pp. 313, 314.
The only soul of Christ that could atone for
our sin and its wages of eternal death, was the Divine Holy Spirit “soul of His
life:”
"Christ
declared that after his ascension, he would send to his church, as his crowning gift,
the Comforter, who was to take his place.
This Comforter is the Holy Spirit,--the soul
of his life, the efficacy of his church, the light and life of the
world. With his Spirit Christ sends a reconciling influence and a power that
takes away sin.
In
the gift of the Spirit [HIS LIFE--THE SOUL OF HIS LIFE], Jesus gave to man the highest good that heaven could bestow....
The
Spirit was given as a regenerating agency, and without this the sacrifice of
Christ would have been of no avail....

becomes a partaker of the divine nature. Christ has given his Spirit as a
divine power to overcome all hereditary and cultivated tendencies to evil, and

"He (Christ) suffered the death which was
ours, that we might receive the life which WAS His." Desire of Ages,
p. 25 1 Cor. 11:24-265, cf. John 6:53, 54, Titus 3:5, 6.
In His Incarnation sacrifice, Christ suffered the
eternal death which was ours, that we might receive the eternal life which WAS
His, His Divne Nature which He proffers us. 2 Pet.
1:4.
The answer I was given is: In His Incarnation
alone, the Son reached the prescribed limit of eternal death to His former
estate of being HOLY SPIRIT DIVINE NATURE ONLY. That sacrifice achieved three
things:
1.
It fulfilled the Testator’s Covenant as far as an eternal payment for
the wages of our sin by the Son emptying Himself of the omni attributes of His
Divinity, to become human forever. Thus “dying” to that life alone, that form
of His existence alone (only) forever. This is not “death” as humans conceive
of it, but it was certain “death” to the Son living in the form He had
eternally existed in before His Incarnation. Because divinity cannot die, this
is the only form of death the Testator could incur as God.
2.
It gave us the means of empowerment to overcome sin, the Holy Spirit,
the highest good, crowning gift heaven can bestow.
3.
It proffered us the gift of the former life that WAS HIS, the eternal
life of His Holy Spirit Divine Nature:
2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great
and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine
nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
The Cross sacrifice provided for:
1.
One sacrifice for our sins when Christ took them upon Himself. That did
not occur until the Cross sacrifice.
2.
The “second death” ratification of the Testator’s Covenant, by which
Christ relinquished any future option to opt out of His Covenant with man,
after He bowed His head and commended His Spirit to the Father. That Spirit was
His Holy Spirit which had descended upon Him from heaven at His baptism. This
second death was necessary to make Him the redeemer under both Sacrifices—the
Incarnation and the Cross sacrifices.
3.
It ratified the eternal “death” payment for the wages of our sin which
was provided for by the Incarnation sacrifice, because the human death of
Christ for three days in a tomb could not pay the eternal penalty of death for
the wages of sin. Christ could not have overcome all sin, especially with ours
which were laid upon Him, without the provision of the Holy Spirit which was
provided by His Father. They both share the ONE ETERNAL SPIRIT essence and
substance says Ellen White.
4.
Ellen White says that Divinity did not die on the cross. Christ’s divinity
returned to the Father when Christ bowed His head and commended that Holy
Spirit to the Father. Divinity cannot die. And Christ’s human death for three
days could not pay the price of eternal death for the wages of our sin.
5.
Proof that man could be faithful in keeping God’s commandments even
unto death.
6.
Thus, Christ was our example in becoming perfect even as He was/is
perfect.
Thus, both the Incarnation and the Cross sacrifices
were essential to the redemption requirements, and by this fact, Christ was not
yet our Redeemer before the Cross by the Incarnation alone, but the Incarnation sacrifice
was entirely requisite to the full Redemption of Man. Thus, Ellen White could say
that the Incarnation met the prescribed limit of a sacrifice, the “eternal
death” factor of the Testator’s Covenant, but not the Redeemer until our sins
were laid upon Him at the Cross sacrifice. Both sacrifices were essential and
requisite to the Redemption act.
"Christ

His soul is His Holy Spirit. He offers that
gift to us for overcoming the lusts of the world.
The wages of sin are eternal death. How could
Christ make His soul, His Holy Spirit, the soul of His life and the life of His
soul, an offering for sin? The answer that God showed me is that the Son died
FOREVER to His Divine ONLY existence. This met the prescribed limit of a
sacrifice per the Testator’s Covenant (Testament of the Testator).
Two sacrifices: One in the
Heavenly Sanctuary | One on Earth | A Redeemer before as after His Incarnation
Both the Incarnation and the Cross sacrifice where
our sins were laid upon Christ, were essential to the Redemptive act, but these
sacrifices were offered as ONE sacrifice for sin because both were essential to
the one redemptive act. Thus, Christ was our Redeemer before as after the
Cross.

What was the prescribed limit as a sacrifice? It
was death of the Testator to something, to wit:
Hbr 9:16 For where a testament
[is], there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
Hbr 9:17 For a testament [is] of
force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the
testator liveth.

Incarnation of Christ was an act of self-sacrifice; His life was one of

The act of being
Incarnated in and of itself was the highest good, crowning sacrifice whereby
the Son of God sacrificed living in the person of His Holy Spirit, Divine
Nature ONLY, to become forever after combined with humanity. This is how the
Son made His soul, His Holy Spirit, the soul of His life, an offering for sin.
This is the only cure for sin, for only by the Divine Nature Holy Spirit soul
of the life of Christ, can we be empowered to overcome sin.

the Highest might appear before men with a dignity and glory befitting His

How do
we know that it was His Divine Soul Holy Spirit (soul of His life) that he made
an offering for sin? Notice the context of the above statement. Notice the
words of the first sentence that Christ stooped to take upon Himself man’s
nature. That was the Incarnation sacrifice. That made the gift of His Divine
Nature possible. Also, we know that the Everlasting Covenant demands that the
Testator must die, and the Testator was the Son when He was in His Holy Spirit
state of Being. Divinity cannot die as we know it, but He in effect eternally
“died” to His former estate of being DIVINE ONLY, to become human forever, and
giving up His omni’s forever as far as His human person is concerned.
“In all ages the Saviour’s chosen have been educated and disciplined
in the school of trial. They walked in narrow paths on earth; they were
purified in the furnace of affliction. For Jesus’ sake they endured opposition,
hatred, calumny. They followed Him through conflicts sore; they endured
self-denial and experienced bitter disappointments. By their own painful experience they learned
the evil of sin, its power, its guilt, its woe; and they look upon it with
abhorrence. A sense of the
infinite sacrifice made for its cure humbles them in their own sight and
fills their hearts with gratitude and praise which those who have never fallen cannot
appreciate. They love much because they have been
forgiven much. Having been partakers
of Christ’s sufferings, they are fitted to be partakers with Him of His glory.”

The
Incarnation sacrifice involved the Son divesting Himself from being DIVINE
ONLY, to forever become God come in the likeness of sinful flesh, FULLY HUMAN
as well as being FULLY DIVINE, in two separate, independent persons, with His
Divine person being His Holy Spirit Divine Nature, the THIRD PERSON of the
Godhead.
Before the
Incarnation there were only TWO persons to the Godhead. Another (THIRD) person
of the Godhead accrued when God was manifest in the human flesh of Christ. The
Trinity Doctrine fully thwarts this sacrificial process by teaching that the
three persons of the Godhead were co-eternal.
If there were three eternal persons to the Godhead, then God come in the flesh
or the human nature of Christ would add a fourth person. Thus
the Trinity Doctrine sweeps away the entire Christian economy by denying the
sacrifice whereby a third person accrued and was adopted into the Godhead.
There could be no worse OMEGA HERESY ABOMINATION. The Alpha heresy involved the
personality of God and Christ says Ellen White, and the OMEGA HERESY includes
the same abomination. The reason BOTH persons are involved is because they
share the same ONE ETERNAL SPIRIT ESSENCE, SUBSTANCE, thus BOTH come to us when
the Holy Spirit comes to us, John 14:23. The context of the chapter is the Holy
Spirit Comforter:
Jhn 14:23
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he
will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him,
and make our
abode with him.
"By
His life and His death, Christ has achieved even more than recovery from the
ruin wrought through sin. It was Satan's purpose to bring about an eternal
separation between God and man but in Christ we become more closely united to
God than if we had never fallen. In
taking our nature, the Saviour has bound himself to humanity by a tie that is
never to be broken. Through the eternal ages He is linked with us. 'God so loved the
world, that He gave His only begotten Son.' [John 3:16]. He gave Him not only
to bear our sins, and to die as our sacrifice He gave Him to the fallen race.
To assure us of His immutable counsel of peace, God
gave His only Begotten Son to become one of the human
family forever to retain His human nature. This is the pledge that God will fulfill His word. 'Unto
us a child is born unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon His
shoulder.' God has adopted human nature in the person of His Son, and has
carried the same into the highest heaven. It is the 'Son of man' who shares the
throne of the universe. It is the 'Son of man' whose name shall be called,
'Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the prince of
Peace.' [Isa. 9:6]. The I Am is the Daysman between
God and humanity, laying His hand upon both. HE who is 'holy, harmless,
undefiled, separate from sinners,' is not ashamed to call us brethren. [Heb.
7:26 2:11.] In Christ the family of earth and the
family of heaven are bound together. Christ glorified is our brother. Heaven is
enshrined in humanity, and humanity is enfolded
in the bosom of Infinite love." The Desire of Ages, 25.
"The incarnation of Christ, typified in the sacrificial service of
Israel, and symbolized in all their devotions, is a glorious mystery.
In His only begotten Son, God was made manifest to the world. The Son of God
laid aside His glory, and clothed Himself with humanity. He became the meek and
lowly Jesus. For the sake of sinful men He became
poor, that they through His poverty might be made rich." {BEcho, February 20, 1899 par. 1}
Many, even amongst so-called “reformers,” mistake
Christ’s voluntary submissive role of His humanity to the Father, as
inferiority to the Father, but in His Divinity, He is of the same ONE ETERNAL
SPIRIT essence (substance) as the Father, and He said that He thought it not
robbery to be equal with the Father. As such, He was speaking of His Divinity,
His Divine Holy Spirit Person.
If in His Incarnation He had reached the prescribed
limit as a sacrifice, that fact demands that the sacrifice of the Incarnation
was a Heavenly Sanctuary sacrifice, at which time the Holy Spirit attributes
were divested from the Son.

"7. Made himself of no reputation. Literally,
'emptied Himself.' This emptying was voluntary (see on John 10:17,
18). It was not possible for Christ to retain all the tokens of divinity
and still accomplish the Incarnation.

“5. The
Subordination of Christ. Voluntarily
assuming the limitations of human nature at the incarnation, the Lord Jesus
Christ thereby subordinated Himself to the Father for the duration of His
earthly ministry (see ps. 40:8; Matt. 26:39; John 3:16 4:34; 5:19, 30; 12:49;
14:10; 17:4, 8; 2 Cor. 8:9; Phil. 2:7, 8; Heb. 2:9; see on Luke 1:35; 2:49;
John 3:16; 4:34; Phil 2:7, 8).
‘Laying aside His royal robe and kingly crown’ (DA
22, 23). “He voluntarily assumed human nature.
It was His own act, and by His own consent.” (EGW ST Jan 20, 1890; cf 5T 702). “He
humbled Himself, and took mortality upon Him.” (EGW RH Sept. 4, 1900).
“The Son of God was surrendered to the Father’s
will, and dependent upon His power. So utterly was Christ emptied of
self that He made no plans for Himself. He accepted God’s plans for Him,
and day by day the Father unfolded His plans” (DA 208; cf. 664. ‘While
bearing human nature, He was dependent upon the Omnipotent for His life. In His humanity, He laid hold of the divinity
of God’”{EGW, ST, June 17, 1897 par. 8}
Incarnation
Taxes Highest Powers of Mind
"This earth has been honored and blessed with
presence of the Son of God. In the Scriptures we read
of His INCARNATION, His teaching, His miracles, His death, and His
resurrection. The
effort to understand these wonderful subjects puts to the tax the highest
powers of the mind, and then there is an infinity beyond which can not be
exhausted. The
oftener the mind is called to this study, the stronger and clearer it will

Incarnation --Satan would Mystify: "This is a
great mystery, a mystery that will not be fully, completely understood in all
its greatness until the translation of the redeemed shall take place. Then the

But the enemy is determined that this gift shall be so mystified that it will

"He (Christ) suffered the death which was
ours, that we might receive the life which WAS His." Desire of Ages,
p. 25 1 Cor. 11:24-265, cf. John 6:53, 54, Titus 3:5, 6.
The death which was ours is eternal, not three days
in a tomb.
In Conclusion:
The two sacrifices blended into one when
they were completed, but neither was efficacious without the other.
Heb 10:12 But this
man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
“This
man, after He had offered one sacrifice for
sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God.” [Hebrews 10:12.] Christ
entered in once into the holy place, having
obtained eternal redemption for us.
“Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by
Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.” [Hebrews 7:25.] He
has qualified Himself to be not only man’s representative, but his advocate, so
that every soul, if he will, may say, I have a Friend at court, a High Priest
who is touched with the feeling of my infirmities." 7 {CIHS 44.3}
Redemption
was not feasible without the Incarnation, and the Cross was of no avail without
the heavenly Sanctuary/Atonement Incarnation sacrifice, which provides the only
cure for sin, but when both were complete,
they were offered as ONE SACRIFICE for sins.
One could try to argue that the cross by
itself provided the sacrifice for sins, but that sacrifice would have been of
no avail without the Incarnation sacrifice that made provision for empowerment
to overcome sin. Without the Incarnation sacrifice that provided the Holy
Spirit aid to overcome sin, there would be only a continuum of a sin confess, sin confess state of things, and the Sanctuary and
the world would never be cleansed of sin. And as sin produces a continuum of
degradation and destruction, this world would be the hell it is becoming, and
man would ultimately destroy himself because there would be no redeemer from
sin without the Incarnation highest good, crowning gift that heaven can bestow,
the gift of the Holy Spirit Divine Nature of Christ.
Mankind
is about to experience the results of sin in the form of the worst time of
trouble ever known upon this earth. All who are not completely surrendered to
Christ, will come to abhor themselves and others. Mainline Christianity is not
aware of the Incarnation gift as it relates to the highest good, crowning gift
of the Holy Spirit for obedience, Romans 1:5. Thus, they teach pardon only,
cheap grace for a sin confess, sin confess religion, THE DOCTRINE OF THE
NICOLAITANS THAT CHRIST ESPECIALLY HATES. They do not believe that it is
possible to overcome all known sin this side of glorification. And that is what
and why Jesus came in the person of His humanity to prove.
What a
privilege it is to know the truth of the full gospel as it pertains to all that
Christ did for us in providing the highest good, crowning gift heaven can
bestow, the gift of the soul of His Life, His Holy Spirit Divine Nature for empowerment
in overcoming sin. Nothing could be more antichrist than the rejection of this
greatest, crowning gift of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Like
John the Baptist, I absolutely make no claims to be Elijah. I believe Ellen
White quite well fulfilled that mission. However, we can all give the Elijah
message as you have just read it in this vision. According to Malachi Chapter
3, Elijah is to restore the Covenant with God’s people and turn the hearts of
the son to the Fathers, and this means also the returning of the hearts of the
sons of man to our Father and Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who is also spoken
of as our Everlasting Father. Isaiah
Chapter 9.
I have
been shown that the truth on the Godhead and the Everlasting Covenant Elijah is
to restore, are one and the same, and are inseparable. Anyone claiming to have
the Elijah message without dealing with the truth on the Godhead, is like a
person professing to teach the gospel without the law. Ellen White says both
are inseparable. So remember this test of Malachi 3
when you come across any individual claiming to give the Elijah message. The
message of John the Baptist was repent and be
baptized. One cannot repent without the truth of the Godhead, because it is
that truth that provides the highest good, crowning gift, the Holy Spirit, for
overcoming the lusts of the world and all sin.
True repentance is motivated by a love for Christ and
faith that we can cease to sin and keep ALL the commandments by the empowerment
of Christ’s Holy Spirit Divine Nature abiding in the soul. This is the Elijah message as the Messenger of the
Covenant, and the only message that will ever turn the hearts of the sons to
the fathers, for it is the greatest evidence of the Love of God and ALL that He has done
for us—THE FULL TRUE GOSPEL OF ALL AND WHAT HE HAS SACRIFICED FOR US. Don’t
look for anything more compelling, for it won’t be forthcoming! There are some teaching on the love of Christ, while they are
defending the Trinity Doctrine, which sweeps away the entire Christian economy.
That is not true love. That is not the genuine Elijah, John the Baptist, Jesus
of Nazareth message.
“5, 6.
The Elijah Message—In this age, just prior to the second coming of Christ in
the clouds of heaven, God calls for men who will prepare a people to stand in
the great day of the Lord. Just such a work as that which John did, is to be
carried on in these last days. The Lord is giving messages to His people,
through the instruments He has chosen, and He would have all heed the
admonitions and warnings He sends. The message preceding the public ministry of
Christ was, Repent, publicans and sinners; repent, Pharisees and Sadducees;
“for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Our message is not to be one of peace
and safety. As a people who believe in Christ’s soon appearing, we have a
definite message to bear,—“Prepare to meet thy God.”

message must be as direct as was that of John. He rebuked kings for their
iniquity. Notwithstanding the peril his life was in, he never allowed truth to
languish on his lips. Our work in this age must be as faithfully done....” {4BC

this time of well-nigh universal apostasy, God calls upon His messengers to
proclaim His law in the spirit and power of Elias. As John the Baptist, in
preparing a people for Christ’s first advent, called their attention to the Ten
Commandments, so we are to give, with no uncertain sound, the message: “Fear
God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come.” With the
earnestness that characterized Elijah the prophet and John the Baptist, we are
to strive to prepare the way for Christ’s second advent (E. G. White, The Southern Work 3-21-1905).” {4BC
