The
Little Understood All Important Omega of Apostasy Issue—Part 1
Click to go to our Home PageDear Reader, The subject of the Omega of Apostasy, is
one of the least understood issues in Adventist albeit one of the most
important. Ask the average Seventh-day Adventist, leader or layman, and you
are likely to get a blank look in response, or a mere personal conjecture of
supposition on the issue. Over the years, I have read the opinion
of high-placed SDA leaders that it was over and finished long ago. As well, I
have read opinions by the same caliber of leaders that it was in the distant
future. I have not read one leader who suggested that we are in the midst’s
of the Omega of Apostasy. In light of all the serious apostasy that is in
progress, that is a most sobering reality. When Robert Pearson left
office as the General Conference President, his farewell address quoted Selected Messages, Bk. 1, 204-5, and
he expressed concern and said don’t let it happen. What he did not realize as
a dumb-dog watchmen (Isa. 56:10-12), is that it had been and indeed was
happening right under his nose! The following article is by Ellen White,
on the subject of the Alpha and the Omega. I will comment under some of the
paragraphs of the article and tell you when the article has ended. I always
say end comment after my commentary, but I will say end of article at the
point where it finishes. Chap. 24 - The Alpha and the Omega -
{During the summer of 1904, at a critical point in the crisis over the
promulgation by Dr. J. H. Kellogg of pantheistic theories, and at a time when
he was advocating unsound policies relating to the management of our medical work,
Ellen G. White sounded a number of warnings, which were assembled and
"published for the author" in a sixty-page pamphlet, Special
Testimonies, Series B, No. 2, entitled "Testimonies for the Church Containing Letters to Physicians and
Ministers Giving Messages of Warning and Words of Counsel and Admonition
Regarding Our Present Situation." In two of these communications
she refers to "The Alpha and the Omega." Following are the two
statements in their entirety as taken from the pamphlet. Further counsels
making reference to pantheism may be found in Testimonies, volume 8, pages
255-318 and The Ministry of Healing, pages 427-438. For the background of the

July 24, 1904 To Our Leading Physicians:
“Dear Fellow Workers: I am awakened at eleven o'clock. The
representations passing before me are so vivid that I cannot sleep. The word
of the Lord has come to me that there is a decided work to be done in warning
our medical
“The Lord calls upon those connected with our sanitariums to reach a
higher standard. No lie is of the truth. If we follow cunningly devised
fables, we unite with the enemy's forces against God and Christ. God calls
upon those who have been wearing a yoke of human manufacture to break this
yoke, and no longer be the bond servants of men.” {1SM 194.1}
“The battle is on. Satan and his angels are working with all
deceivableness of unrighteousness. They are untiring in their efforts to draw
souls away from the truth, away from righteousness, to spread ruin throughout
the universe. They work with marvelous industry to furnish a multitude of
deceptions to take souls captive. Their efforts are unceasing. The enemy is
ever seeking to lead souls into infidelity and skepticism. He would do away
with God, and with Christ, who was made flesh and dwelt among us to teach us
that in obedience to God's will we may be victorious over sin.” {1SM 194.2}
Assailed by Every Form of Evil
“Every form of evil is waiting for an opportunity to assail us. Flattery, bribes, inducements, promises
of wonderful exaltation, will be most assiduously employed.” {1SM 194.3}
“What are God's servants doing
to raise the barrier of a "Thus saith the Lord" against this evil?
The enemy's agents are working unceasingly to prevail against the truth.
Where are the faithful guardians of the Lord's flocks? Where are His
watchmen? Are they standing on the
high tower, giving the danger signal, or are they allowing the peril to pass
unheeded? Where are the medical missionaries? Are they co-workers with
Christ, wearing His yoke, or are they wearing a yoke of human manufacture?”
{1SM 194.4} Ron’s Commentary: We are given the answer
to the above questions in Testimonies,
Vol. 5, p. 211, where Ellen White applies Isaiah 56:10-12. If you will look
in the flyleaf pages of the book you will find that this statement was
written in 1882. Begin at
My Sanctuary -- "Here we see
that the church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of
the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light
and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They
had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked
manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These
words strengthen their unbelief,
and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too
merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus 'Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again
lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions
and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not
bark [quoted from Isaiah 56:10-12]
are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens,
and little children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211. Then, Ellen White said that all of the ancient
prophets wrote more for us than the Jews: "The Bible for Our Time.--Never are
we absent from the mind of God. God is our joy and our salvation. Each of the
ancient prophets spoke less for their own time than for ours, so that their prophesying
is in force for us. 'Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples:
and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are
come' (1 Cor. 10:11). 'Not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the
things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel
unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven which things the angels
desire to look into' (1 Peter 1:12).'" E.G. White, Selected Messages, vol. 3, p. 338. Prophets Wrote for
Their Own and Our Day.—“The last books of the Old Testament show us
workers taken from the laborers in the field. Others were men of high ability
and extensive learning, but the Lord gave them visions and messages. These
men of the Old Testament spoke of things transpiring in their day, and
Daniel, Isaiah, and Ezekiel not only spoke of things that concerned them as
present truth, but their sights reached down to the future, and to what
should occur in these last days.”--Letter 132, 1898. {3SM 419.5, 420} Though it is true that all the prophets,
including Ellen White, wrote in an effort to heal the wounds of God’s people
and bring them to reconciliation to obeisance to God’s instructions, that
does not moot the living fact that there is a time when God’s people as a
body, an organization, cross the line of no return, though probation is still
extended to them on an individual basis. This is precisely what happened to
the fallen churches of Babylon, long before the harvest. Did you ever wonder why the Reformers of the
Reformation separated from Rome long before the harvest? Did you ever wonder
why Adventists separated from the other fallen churches when the wheat and
tares are to dwell together until the harvest? If it was possible for those
churches to fall, is it possible for professing Seventh-day Adventism to fall
as a body? It so, we need to know how and why. If not so, we need to know how
and why! We need to know God’s line in the sand that closes probation for a
church. Yet that is less known than is
data about the omega of apostasy! Many Adventists believe that probation for
apostate Israel did not close until the stoning of Stephen. That is a half
truth. General probation did not close until then, but there was a generational closing of probation as
evinced by many incidents. I will give a few examples such as the destruction
of Korah, Dathan and Abiram and party, Achan and immediate family members who
knew of his disobedient act, and one of the most profound is in Jeremiah
11:9-15. God tells Jeremiah, in verse
14, not to even pray for the Jews of that generation. That means that their probation was over. Were some faithful? If
so, what was their course? Jeremiah wrote in the time of Shiloh, and the
following statement is relative to Jeremiah 11:9-15: "The recreant priests added
licentiousness to the dark catalogue of their crimes yet they still polluted
by their presence the tabernacle of the Lord, and, laden with sin, dared to
come into the presence of a holy God. As the men of Israel witnessed the corrupt
course of the priests, they thought it safer for their families not to come
up to the appointed place of worship. Many went from Shiloh with their peace
disturbed, their indignation aroused, until they at last determined to offer
their sacrifices themselves, concluding that this would be fully as
acceptable to God, as to sanction in any manner the abominations practiced in
the Sanctuary." E.G. White, The

“Satan and his angels are making every effort to obtain control of
minds, that men may be swayed by falsehood and pleasing fables. Are our
physicians lifting the danger signal? Are the men who have been placed in
prominent positions in our sanitariums lifting the danger signal? Or are

earnest desire that the hearts of the believers might be "knit together
in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the
acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; in
whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" (Col. 2:2, 3). "And this I say," he declares,
"lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. . . . As ye have
therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: rooted and built
up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding
therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy
and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world,
and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead
bodily" (Col. 2:4-9). {1SM 195.1}
Will the men in our institutions keep silent, allowing insidious
fallacies to be promulgated to the ruin of souls? The sentiments of the enemy
are being scattered everywhere. Seeds of discord,
of unbelief, of infidelity, are being sown broadcast.
Shall our medical missionaries raise no barrier against this evil? Is it not
time that we asked ourselves, Shall we
allow the adversary to lead us to give up the work of proclaiming the truth?
Shall we allow him to keep us from being channels through which the blessings of the gospel,
as a current of life, shall flow to the world? Let every man now arouse, and
work as he has opportunity. Let him speak words in season and out of season,
and look to Christ for encouragement and strength in welldoing.” {1SM 195.2} Ron’s Commentary: Notice the words “THE
gospel.” The apostate SDA church is now teaching two different gospels. One
says that we can overcome sin this side of glorification, as Ellen White
testified. The other says that we cannot possibly overcome sin this side of
glorification because sin is so deeply ingrained in our flesh as a result of
Original Sin. This latter gospel does despite and denigration to the power of
the Holy Spirit and the Divine Nature of Christ, which He has proffered to
us, to wit: 2Pe 1:4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that
by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the
corruption that is in the world through lust. We are to accurse any—even an angel who should come
to us with another gospel. This is certainly one of God’s lines in the
sand—unpardonable sin. It does not say to pray for those who come to us with
another gospel. It says let him be accursed. In fact, Paul says it twice: Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven,
preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you,
let him be accursed. Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If
any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let
him be accursed. Here is the meaning of
accursed. Note the words anathema and a man accursed, devoted to the direst of woes.
Do you believe that an
accursed man, one devoted to the direst of woes; one whom God has pronounced
anathema, will be saved? Absolutely not. This is an unpardonable act if
committed AFTER BEING PRIVY TO THE TRUTH, as SDA’s have. Number 331

Dangers
Continually Increasing
The dangers coming upon us are continually increasing. It is high time
that we put on the whole armor of God, and work earnestly to keep Satan from
gaining any
At this time the Laodicean message is to be given, to arouse a
slumbering church. Let the thought of the shortness of time stimulate you
to earnest, untiring effort. Remember that Satan has come down with great
power, to work with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that
perish. {1SM 196.1} Ron’s Commentary: One has to seriously
ask him/herself: Is a church that has imbibed cold, omega apostasy, any
longer merely a “lukewarm” church? Is there any possible excuse in the Word,
for teaching another false gospel? Not that I know of friend. Were Rome and
her fallen harlot daughters regarded as mere slumbering Laodicea when they
were left? No friend, a decided no! And we have considered the reasons why.

“For years our physicians have been trained to think that they must
not give expression to sentiments that differ from those of their chief.

broken the yoke! O that they had
called sin by its right name! Then they would not be regarded in the heavenly
courts as men who, though bearing weighty responsibilities, have failed of
speaking the truth in reproof of that which has been in disobedience to God's

“Physicians, have you been doing the Master's business in listening to
fanciful and spiritualistic interpretations of the Scriptures,
interpretations which undermine the foundations of our faith, and holding
your peace? God says, "Neither will I be with you any more, unless you
awake, and vindicate your Redeemer." {1SM 196.3} Ron’s Commentary: Is listening to a false
gospel a fanciful and spiritualistic interpretation of Scripture? Does that
false interpretation undermine the foundations of all truth in the Word of
God? Is God waiting for the bride to make herself ready with the aid of His
Divine Nature Holy Spirit? Rev 19:7 Let
us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb
is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. End comment.
Sophistries That Undermine the
Pillars
“My message to you is: No longer consent to listen without protest to
the perversion of truth. Unmask the pretentious sophistries which, if
received, will lead ministers and physicians and medical missionary workers
to ignore the truth. Every one is now to stand on his guard. God calls upon
men and women to take their stand under the blood-stained banner of Prince
Emmanuel. I have been instructed to warn our people; for many are in danger Ron’s Commentary: What could be more a
perversion of truth than a false gospel that we cannot overcome sin? That
undermines the Sanctuary doctrine, a pillar doctrine of the SDA church,
because the Sanctuary cannot be cleansed until we put away sin. A false
gospel that teaches that we cannot overcome sin by gold tried in the fire,
faith that works by love, hinders the preparation of the wife (bride) in
making herself ready, and makes it impossible for all who believe that she
cannot overcome. There is a direct conflict of interest between the false
gospel, the Sanctuary Message, and the bride making herself ready. And if
laying aside sin is not the readiness she must achieve with the aid of the
Divine Nature Holy Spirit of Christ, then what, pray tell, is it—the doctrine
of the Nicolaitans, “only believe,” which God especially hates?! End comment.
“Sometimes our physicians talk for hours, when they are weary and
perplexed, and in no fit condition to talk. Medical missionaries should
refuse to hold long night sessions of conversation. These night talks have been times when Satan with his seductive
influence has stolen away from one and then another the faith once delivered
to the saints. Brilliant, sparkling ideas often flash from a mind that is
influenced by the great deceiver. Those who listen and acquiesce will become
charmed, as Eve was charmed by the serpent's words. They cannot listen to
charming philosophical speculations, and at the same time keep the word of
the living God clearly in mind.”{1SM 197.1} Ron’s Commentary: Both sides accuse one
another of being the deceiver. Only God’s clarion Word can be the deciding
influence. End comment.
“Our physicians have lost a great deal out of their lives because they
have seen wrong transactions and heard wrong words spoken, and seen wrong
principles followed, and have not
spoken in reproof, for fear that they would be repulsed. {1SM 197.2} Ron’s Commentary: We learn real fast how
easily our leaders react negatively when we disprove of their abominable
practices. Here is what happens no matter how loving the reproof, and this is
why so many shy away from saying a peeping word: “The messengers sent by God to deliver His warnings are hated by
those whom they warn. The people charge upon them the calamities which are
the result of their own departure from righteousness. Those who thus place
themselves in Satan's power do not see things as God sees them. They are blinded by Satan. When God's
mirror is held up before them, instead of repenting and turning from sin, they
become indignant to think that they should be reproved. They think
that an uncalled-for attack is being made upon them, and that the messengers
of God are their enemies.” {RH, October 22, 1901 par. 10}’

the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all
the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the Lord which he
had hallowed in Jerusalem. And the Lord God of their fathers sent to them by
his messengers, rising up betimes and sending; because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling-place.
But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused
his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against this people, till
there was no remedy." {RH, June 25, 1861 par. 13} "As the Elder Brother of our race He (Christ)
knows that the messengers whom He sees fit to send are WEAK, ERRING men but
to all who give themselves wholly to His service He promises divine
aid." E.G. White, Acts of the
Apostles, p. 56. “There is constant need of earnest, decided messages of warning.
God will have men who are true to duty. At the right time He sends His
faithful messengers to do a work similar to that of Elijah.”—5 Testimonies,
254. “Those who have in the fear of God ventured out to faithfully
meet error and sin, calling sin by its right name, have discharged a disagreeable
duty with much suffering of feelings to themselves; but they get the sympathy
of but few and suffer the neglect of many. The sympathizers are on the wrong
side, and they carry out the purposes of Satan to defeat the design of God.” {3T 328.2} 329. “Reproofs always hurt
human nature. Many are the souls that have been destroyed by the unwise
sympathy of their brethren; for, because the brethren sympathized with them,
they thought they must indeed have been abused, and that the reprover was all
wrong and had a bad spirit. The only hope for sinners in Zion is to fully see
and confess their wrongs, and put them away. Those who step in to destroy the
edge of sharp reproof that God sends, saying that the reprover was partly
wrong and the reproved was not just right, please the enemy. Any way that
Satan can devise to make the reproofs of none effect will accomplish his
design. Some will lay blame upon the one whom God has sent with a message of
warning, saying, He is too severe; and in so doing they become responsible
for the soul of the sinner whom God desired to save, and to whom, because He
loved him, He sent correction, that he might humble his soul before God and
put his sins from him. These false sympathizers will have an account to
settle with the Master by-and-by for their work of death.” {3T 329.1} “There are many who
profess to believe the truth who are blind to their own danger. They cherish
iniquity in their hearts and practice it in their lives. Their friends cannot
read their hearts, and frequently think that such are all right.” Black Hawk,
Colorado, Aug. 12, 1873. "There are ever to be found those who will sympathize
with those who are wrong. Satan had sympathizers in heaven, and took large
numbers of the angels with him. God and Christ and heavenly angels were on
one side, and Satan on the other. Notwithstanding the infinite power and
majesty of God and Christ, angels became disaffected. The insinuations of
Satan took effect, and they really came to believe that the Father and the
Son were their enemies and that Satan was their benefactor. Satan has the
same power and the same control over minds now, only it has increased a
hundredfold by exercise and experience. Men and women today are deceived,
blinded by his insinuations and devices, and know it not. By giving place to
doubts and unbelief in regard to the work of God, and by cherishing feelings
of distrust and cruel jealousies, they are preparing themselves for complete
deception. They rise up with bitter feelings against the ones who dare to
speak of their errors and reprove their sins." {3T 328.1} “Never was there greater need of faithful warnings and reproofs,
and close, straight dealing, than at this very time. Satan has come down with
great power, knowing that his time is short. He is flooding the world with
pleasing fables, and the people of God love to have smooth things spoken to
them. Sin and iniquity are not abhorred. I was shown that God's people must
make more firm, determined efforts to press back the incoming darkness. The
close work of the Spirit of God is needed now as never before. Stupidity must
be shaken off. We must arouse from the lethargy that will prove our
destruction unless we resist it. Satan has a powerful, controlling influence
upon minds. Preachers and people are in danger of being found upon the side
of the powers of darkness. There is no such thing now as a neutral position.
We are all decidedly for the right or decidedly with the wrong. Said Christ: "He
that is not with Me is against Me; and he that gathereth not with Me
scattereth abroad." {3T 327.3} “Rebuke sin firmly, and give it no sanction. The refuge of lies
for the covering up of sin must be torn away in order that poor deluded souls
may not sleep on to their everlasting ruin.”—Testimonies to Ministers, 182. “God pities men struggling in the blindness of perversity; He
seeks to enlighten the darkened understanding by sending reproofs and
threatenings designed to cause the most exalted to feel their ignorance and
to deplore their errors. He endeavors to help the self-complacent to become
dissatisfied with their vain attainments and to seek for spiritual blessing
through a close connection with heaven. “God’s plan is not to send messengers who will please and flatter
sinners; He delivers no messages of peace to lull the unsanctified into
carnal security. Instead, He lays heavy burdens upon the conscience of the
wrongdoer and pierces his soul with sharp arrows of conviction. Ministering
angels present to him the fearful judgments of God, to deepen the sense of
need and to prompt the agonizing cry, ‘What must I do to be saved?’ Acts
16:30. But the Hand that humbles to the dust, rebukes sin, and puts pride and
ambition to shame, is the Hand that lifts up the penitent, stricken one. With
deepest sympathy He who permits the chastisement to fall, inquires,
"What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? “When man has sinned against a holy and merciful God, he can
pursue no course so noble as to repent sincerely and confess his errors in
tears and bitterness of soul. This God requires of him; He accepts nothing
less than a broken heart and a contrite spirit.”—Prophets and Kings, 435-436. “God has no sympathy with the evildoer. He gives no one liberty
to gloss over the sins of His people, nor to cry, ‘Peace, peace,’ when He has
declared that there shall be no peace for the wicked. “Those who stir up rebellion against the servants whom God sends
to deliver His messages are rebelling against the word of the Lord.”—4 Testimonies, 185. “To the end of time, men will arise to create confusion and
rebellion among those who claim to be representatives of the true God. Those
who prophesy lies will encourage men to look upon sin as a light thing. When
the terrible results of their evil deeds are made manifest, they will seek,
if possible, to make the one who has faithfully warned them, responsible for
their difficulties, even as the Jews charged Jeremiah with their evil
fortunes. But as surely as the words of Jehovah through His prophet were
vindicated anciently, so surely will the certainty of His messages be
established today.”—Prophets and Kings,
442. “The only definition we find in the Bible for sin is that ‘sin is
the transgression of the law’ (1 John 3:4). The Word of God declares, ‘All
have sinned, and come short of the glory of God’ (Rom. 3:23). ‘There is none
that doeth good, no, not one’ (Rom. 3:12). Many are deceived concerning the
condition of their hearts. They do not realize that the natural heart is
deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked. They wrap themselves
about with their own righteousness, and are satisfied in reaching their own
human standard of character; but how fatally they fail when they do not reach
the divine standard, and of themselves they cannot meet the requirements of
God. “We may measure ourselves by ourselves, we may compare ourselves
among ourselves, we may say we do as well as this one or that one, but the
question to which the judgment will call for an answer is, Do we meet the claims
of high heaven? Do we reach the divine standard? Are our hearts in harmony
with the God of heaven?”—1 Selected

with these binding influences to break the yoke to which they have long
submitted, and stand as free men in Christ. Nothing but a determined effort
will break the spell that is upon them.” {1SM 197.3} The
Alpha Now Seen
Be not deceived; many will depart from the faith, giving heed to
seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. We have now before us the alpha of
this danger. The omega will be of a most
startling nature. {1SM 197.4} "Most
startling messages will be borne by men of God's appointment, messages of a
character to warn the people, to arouse them. And while some will be PROVOKED
by the warning, and led to RESIST LIGHT AND EVIDENCE, we are to see from this
that we are giving the TESTING MESSAGE for this time. Messages will be given
OUT OF THE USUAL ORDER." E.G. White, Testimonies,
vol. 9, p. 136. Ron’s Commentary: Only a messenger of God
detected the Alpha of Apostasy. Only a messenger of God will recognize and
warn against the full implications involved with the Omega. That is why there
is such a dirth of data concerning the omega of apostasy committed by the SDA
church. Another reason for the lack of data is that all information
associated with the omega implicates and incriminates the leaders, so it
would never come from them. A young ministerial student at CUC, circa
1988, by the name of Ron Nelson, told me that if God has a message for His
people it would come from the leaders. He would give it to them! That is not
true. That is like saying that if God
has a message for the Catholic church, He would first gift it to the pope!
Did it work that way? No, God gave it through reformer messengers. God did
not give His message to Israel to and through the apostate leaders. He gave
it to messengers, prophets and the leaders hated them. So it is again in our
day. There will be false messengers mixing
truth with error, such as error on the very nature of the godhead, and I
refer to error according to what has been presented to us by Ellen White.
There will be false messengers like the old man in Jerusalem, who decried the
abominations of the bloody city, but did not know a proper response to them,
and when to leave. Thus died in the debacle he prophesied, The Great Controversy, Chapter 1. End

“We need to study the words that Christ uttered in the prayer that He
offered just before His trial and crucifixion. "These words spake Jesus,
and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify
thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: as thou hast given him power
over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast
given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true
God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the Christians

“The righteousness of God is
absolute. This righteousness characterizes all His works, all His laws. As
God is, so must His people be. The life of Christ is to be revealed in
the lives of His followers. In all His public and private acts, in every word
and deed, practical godliness was seen, and this godliness is to be seen in
the lives of His disciples.” {1SM 198.1} Ron’s Commentary: The false gospel in the
church teaches that the above admonition is impossible. End comment.
“Those who heed the light given them will bring the virtues of the
character of Christ into the daily life. Christ did no sin, because there was
no sin in Him. God has shown me that the lives of believers are to reveal
practical righteousness.” {1SM 198.2}
“Has not God spoken in His Word concerning the solemn events which
must shortly take place? As you read these things, do you believe what He
says? Or have you, through listening to specious philosophy, given up your
faith in God? Can any power avert the punishment that must come upon you
unless you humble your hearts before God and confess your sins? How is it, my
brethren in the medical missionary work? Does not the living God speak to you
from His Word concerning the events that are taking place in fulfillment of
that Word? Soon the last great reckoning with man will take place. Have your lives been such that you can
then be weighed in the balances of the sanctuary, and not be found wanting?
Or has your faith been molded and restricted until it has become unbelief? Has your obedience to
men become rebellion against God? "Examine yourselves, whether ye be

“I am given a message to bear to you and the rest of our physicians
who are connected with the Medical Missionary Association. Separate from the influence
exerted by the book Living Temple;

PHILOSOPHIES WERE PROMULGATED.--COMPILERS.] for it contains specious
sentiments. There are in it sentiments that are entirely true, but these are
mingled with error. Scriptures are taken out of their connection, and are
used to uphold erroneous theories.” {1SM 199.1} Ron’s Commentary: In the Alpha, the
apostasy originated with one man who garnered a few followers. In the omega,
the apostasy originated with the GC leaders, and has spread to tens of
thousands in the church. But all members are corporately responsible for that
unpardonable sin apostasy. Those who remain in the prophesied New Movement we
were never to join, 1 SM 204-5, are corporate responsible. End comment.
“The thought of the errors contained in this book has given me great
distress, and the experience that I have passed through in connection with
the matter has nearly cost me my life.” {1SM 199.2} Ron’s Commentary: What would you think of
the omega? The Lord, my wife and close friends know that my dealing with the
omega has nearly cost me my life on a number of occasions. Satan has tried to
eliminate me from the face of the earth. End comment.
“It will be said that Living Temple has been revised. But the Lord has
shown me that the writer has not changed, and that there can be no unity between him and the ministers of the gospel
while he continues to cherish his present sentiments. I am bidden to lift
my voice in warning to our people, saying, "Be not deceived; God is not
mocked" (Gal. 6:7). {1SM 199.3} Ron’s Commentary: And how can there be
any unity with leaders who are permitting the teaching of two opposed gospels
to the church and the world? End comment.
“You have had access to Testimonies
for the Church, volumes 7 and 8. In these Testimonies the danger signal is raised. But the light so clear and plain to minds that have not been
influenced by deceptive theories, has not been discerned by some. While
the misleading theories of this book are entertained by our physicians, there
cannot be union between them and the ministers who are bearing the gospel
message. There should be no union until there is a change. {1SM 199.4} Ron’s Commentary: The Holy Spirit
instructed us as to when and when not to support the “regular lines,” meaning
the organized church: Regular lines - “So often
the same old difficulties arise and are presented in regard to disturbing the
‘regular lines.’ But God will work in some way to make His people understand
that THE REGULAR LINES HAVE BECOME FULL OF IRREGULAR PRACTICES…God alone can
make men understand that working on REGULAR LINES has led to IRREGULAR
PRACTICES. God alone can make men’s
minds as they should be. The time has
come when we should hear less in favor of the REGULAR LINES. If we can GET AWAY FROM THE REGULAR LINES
into something which, THOUGH IRREGULAR, IS AFTER GOD’S ORDER, it may cut away
something of the IRREGULAR WORKING which has led away from Bible

“When medical missionaries make their practice and example harmonize
with the name they bear, when they feel their need of uniting firmly with the
ministers of the gospel, then there can be harmonious action. But we must Alpha

I am instructed to speak plainly. "Meet it," is the word
spoken to me. "Meet it firmly, and without delay." But it is not to
be met by our taking our working forces from the field to investigate
doctrines and points of difference. We have no such investigation to make. In
the book Living Temple there is presented the alpha of deadly heresies. The omega will follow, and will be
received by those who are not willing to heed the warning God has given. {1SM
200.1} Ron’s Commentary: The omega was to be far
worse than the Alpha. Indeed, Ellen White said in Special Testimonies, Series B, which was devoted to the Alpha crisis: Wax stronger "One thing it is
certain is soon to be realized,
the great apostasy, which is developing and increasing and waxing stronger, and will continue to do so until the
Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout. We are to hold fast the
first principles of our denominated faith, and go forward from strength to
increased faith. Ever we are to keep the faith that has been substantiated by
the Holy Spirit of God from the earlier events of our experience until the
present time. We need now larger breadth, and deeper, more earnest,
unwavering faith in the leadings of the Holy Spirit. If we needed the
manifest proof of the Holy Spirit's power to confirm truth in the beginning,
after the passing of the time, we need to-day all the evidence in the
confirmation of the truth, when souls are departing from the faith and giving
heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. There must not be any languishing

realized,” Ellen White was speaking of the omega of apostasy in the church.

“Our physicians, upon whom important responsibilities rest, should
have clear spiritual discernment. They are to stand constantly on guard. Dangers that we do not now discern
will soon break upon us, and I greatly desire that they shall not be
deceived. I have an intense longing to see them standing free in the Lord. I
pray that they may have courage to stand firm for the truth as it is in
Jesus, holding fast the beginning of their confidence unto the end.—Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 2,
pp. 49, 50. {1SM 200.2} Exploring
the Specifics of the Omega of Apostasy Some believe that the following statement
applied only to the Alpha of Apostasy under John Harvey Kellogg. This is most
unfortunate, because Ellen White met that crisis head on and stopped it in
its tracks. The Alpha never progressed to the specifications cited in the
following statement. But what if all those specifications can be proven today
by any True Reformer? "The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that
a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that
this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the
pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this
reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that
God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our
religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the
work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A NEW ORGANIZATION
would be established. Books of a NEW ORDER would be written. A system of
intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system
would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course,
would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be
allowed to stand in the way of the NEW MOVEMENT. The leaders would teach that
virtue is better than vice, but GOD BEING REMOVED, they would place their
dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation
would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the
structure. Who has authority to begin such a [NEW] movement? We have our
Bibles, we have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the
Holy Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not
repudiate everything that is not in harmony with this truth? E.G. White, Selected Messages, Vol. 1, 204, 205. Ron’s Commentary: The Alpha involving Kellogg was met. It never
progressed to fulfillment of the above mentioned specifications. However, the
omega has fulfilled all of them. There are books of a new order lauding a
false gospel that we cannot overcome sin this side of glorification. A New Movement—Organization has indeed come about beginning in
1903. Ellen White and the minority committee said that there should not be a
president of the General Conference, but rather a committee of 25 men. The
committee was organized and exists to this day (in fulfillment of Ezekiel 8:16—25 men worshipping the sun—now Easter
Sunrise services held in conjunction with Babylon’s fallen churches), but
the church elected a president, Arthur Daniels, in 1903, against the
direction of the Holy Spirit gift to the church. The church has changed much
since then. Much centralization has occurred which Ellen White warned
against. Indeed, a New Movement is in place. The Celebration aspect is one of
the most obvious indications of the New Movement that has “removed God.” The
church went to Babylon in search of the Holy Spirit. It found and embraced
the spirit of Satan. That spirit has inspired every uncouth thing to come
into our Campmeetings. There is loud music, drums and dancing. Here in
Alberta, they had some girls dancing Hindu dances. I have a video of loud
music and every uncouth thing at an Oregon campmeeting. This is all in
fulfillment of Ellen White’s statement: "The things you have described as taking place in Indiana,
the Lord has shown me would take place just
before the close of probation. Every uncouth thing will be
demonstrated. There will be shouting, with drums, music, and dancing. The
senses of rational beings will become so confused that they cannot be trusted
to make right decisions. And this is called the moving of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit never reveals itself in such methods, in such a
bedlam of noise. This is an invention of Satan to cover up his ingenious
methods for making of none effect the pure, sincere, elevating, ennobling,
sanctifying truth for this time. Better never have the worship of God blended
with music than to use musical instruments to do the work which last January
was represented to me would be brought into
our camp meetings. The truth for this time needs nothing of this
kind in its work of converting souls. A bedlam of noise shocks the senses and
pervert that which if conducted aright might be a blessing. The powers of
satanic agencies blend with the din and noise, to have a carnival, and this is termed the Holy Spirits
working." Selected
Messages, Vol. 2, p. 36. Yes, Robert S. Folkenberg, a past General Conference President,
said we had to wait and see because it might be the working of the Holy
Spirit? I knew immediately that we would not find the Holy Spirit in
Babylonian entertainment. Why would a General Conference President suppose
that we would find the Holy Spirit there?
I will tell you why friend, because sadly the SDA church has become
the tail instead of the head and error has replaced truth in great measure,
and I refer to unpardonable sin error—omega apostasy. Our religion has been changed. Around 50% of SDA’s no longer
believe in the creation week of 7 literal days. Abortion is practiced.
Unlawful marriages are performed. Adulterous pastors are merely moved from
one locale to another. Ecumenical fraternity with Babylon has taken place
since the early 1960’s. Worldly Accreditation was accepted by our educational
facilities so that they now are being forced to teach the curriculum of the
world. SDA leaders are holding joint Easter sunrise services with Babylon,
when all my life in the church Easter was not observed at all. Ellen White
said that the Lord’s Supper (Communion) celebrates His resurrection. In the
Index to Ellen White’s writings, copyright 1962, the word Easter is not even entered.
Why, because she mentioned Easter only once in the 1888 Great Controversy,
which is now extant. I will be quoting her statement in a forthcoming article
on Easter observance. In 1997, Bert B. Beach was sent apparently as a representative of
the conference to meet with ten other churches at a World Council of Churches
assembly, where they worked out an agreement for all churches around the
world to celebrate Easter on specific Sundays. "The churches need to
address the renewal of …the recovery of the meaning of Sunday…" World

change was made ‘The result of the last General Conference
has been the greatest, the most terrible sorrow of my life. No
change was made. The spirit that
should have been brought into the whole work as the result of that meeting
was not brought in because men did not receive the testimonies of the Spirit
of God. As they went to their several fields of labor, they did not walk in
the light that the Lord had flashed upon their pathway, but carried into
their work the wrong principles that had been prevailing in the work at
Battle Creek” (Letter to Judge Jesse Arthur from Ellen White, Elmshaven,
January 15, 1903). By the 1903 General Conference, the state
of affairs was such (because God's plan failed to be implemented) that the
centralization of power gave way in the formation of a General Conference
with world- wide dominion, despite protest from a minority. Percy T. Magan who was part of this minority
stated that the new plan swept away the organizational principles that had
been followed in the 1897 and 1901 conferences and introduced principles that
opened the way for a papal form of church government. In 1901, the Spirit of Prophecy was
officially accepted and endorsed, but not carried out in practice. This, my
friend, will eventually bring about the same results as an open rejection. The unwillingness to accept the authority
of the Spirit of Prophecy affected not only our ministry, conferences and
General Conference, it also affected our educational work. In 1953, A. W. Spalding pointed out to our
educators that we were in transgression of the Word of God in five areas: 1)
type of motivation prevalent, 2) type of literature studied. 3) type of
recreation, 4) lack of nature study and occupation, and 5) lack of proper
parent education. In not a single one of these areas have our denominational
schools reformed since 1953, rather we have apostatized even worse than then.
In 1953 we were not, for example, engaging in competitive sports with the
world as our schools are doing today. Ellen White herself gave Elder Spalding and
Dr. Magan permission to publish the selected testimonies that are now called
the Spalding- Magan‘ s Collection. It is in these testimonies that explicit
instruction is given in regard to tithe and other matters that is entirely
contrary to what we have been taught in the professed Seventh- day Adventist
Church. In the late 1950's, when after more than thirty years had gone by and
these testimonies still had not been published. a man attempted to print
these Testimonies and the General Conference threatened a lawsuit. The unwillingness to accept the authority
of the Spirit of Prophecy resulted in a large departing from the counsels of
God concerning health reform. This fact has been thoroughly researched and
documented by Julius Gilbert White in his books. Are our ministers following
this counsel in regard to health reform: “Let not any of our
ministers set an evil example in the eating of fleshmeat”? MM 281. Unwillingness to accept the authority of
the Spirit of Prophecy has resulted in theological heresies so subtle that
only those led by the Spirit of God and a careful study of the inspired
writings detected what was happening. How bad would it have to get before we
would recognize there Is an apostasy? Item: If we started to hypnotize Seventh-
day Adventists in churches, would we then recognize that there was an
apostasy? [The tape of Dr. Bill Loveless is available
for those who need evidence that hypnotic techniques are being taught to our
pastors to be used on their congregations.] Item: If we took fellow Adventists to court
and put people in jail who were keeping the commandments of God and the faith
of Jesus, would anyone recognize an apostasy? [In 1989 John Marik was put in prison for
using the name Seventh- day Adventist in his church in Hawaii, which was not
under conference control] NOTE: “When troubles arise in the church we
should not go for help to lawyers not of our faith. God does not desire us to
open church difficulties before those who don’t fear Him. He would not have
us depend for help on those who do not obey His requirements. Those who trust
in such counselors show that they have not faith in God. By their lack of
faith the Lord is greatly dishonored. and their course works great injury to
. . . . ‘These men cast aside the counsel God has given, and do the very
things He has bidden them not to do. They show that they have chosen the
world as their judge, and in heaven their names are registered as one with
unbelievers. Christ is crucified afresh, and put to open shame. Let these men
know that God does not hear their prayers. They insult His holy name, and He
will leave them to the buffetings of Satan until they shall see their folly
and seek the Lord by confession of their sin” 3SM 299. Item: If we started playing intercollegiate
and inter- city sports with non- Adventist colleges, would anyone recognize
an apostasy? [Intercollegiate sports are happening in more than one of our
colleges and the Review and Herald has its own team in an inter- city
softball league.] Item: If fiction became required reading in
our denominational colleges, which led to the dramatization of a Greek myth
that contained false doctrine of the undying soul, would someone credit it to
apostasy? [‘ The Mask Man will be presented at
Southern College during an assembly program October. . . . The Mask Man is a
solo performance that demonstrates the power and magic of transformation. It
will be presented by its producer, Robert Faust. The cast of characters
includes a guru, a nerd. a hippie, a nun, a turtle, an android and many
more.” From a tabloid shopper that was sent free to every resident of greater
Chattanooga, Tennessee.] Item: If our college young people were encouraged
to “do good” on the Sabbath by helping non- SDA neighbors by scraping and
painting houses, preparing for the foundations of low- cost homes to be
poured. etc., would anyone recognize an apostasy? [See Insight magazine, August 3, 1991, page
6, “Holy Heresy,” where author Steve Daily reports these and other activities
which were performed by 800 students and 50 staff at La Sierra College.] Item: If the music that has its origin in
spiritualism and which is condemned by the Spirit of Prophecy found its
place, not only in the homes but also in the churches of professed Seventh-
day Adventist people, would someone begin to comprehend something of an
apostasy? [A few years ago we condemned the
activities of the Pentecostals as being of the devil— another spirit. We
recognized their music as being of the devil, their speaking in unknown
gibberish as being of the devil and especially pointed out the fact that any
spirit that does not speak according to the law and to the testimony has no
light in it (Isaiah 8: 20). Now we are doing the same things, some of our
pastors having gone to the Pentecostals and brought the same style of worship
into Adventism! Does anyone recognize an apostasy'?] [A church youth group in
California was taken to a “Christian” hard- rock concert performed by Petra.]
Item: If movie going and worldly entertainment became the “norm” at our high
schools and colleges and reviews of these vile movies were published in some
of the college newspapers, would anyone dare credit it to an apostasy? [At Walla Walla College, reviews of the
local showing movies are published in the student papers. (For counsel on
theatrical performances from the Spirit of Prophecy on this, see 4T, 652- 653
or RH 2- 20- 66.] Item: If fornication, pre- marital pregnancies
and pornography became almost common occurrence m our schools, would someone
begin to question the possibility of an apostasy? Item: If our leaders maintained fellowship
with other leaders who were living in sin and persecuting the true and the faithful,
if the sinners were retained in the professed church while the true and
faithful were disfellowshipped, ostracized. persecuted and forcibly separated
from all connection with the General Conference, would anyone recognize there
was an apostasy? [During the first World War, Seventh- day
Adventists who would not serve in armed forces on Sabbath or bear arms were
not supported by the Seventh- day Adventist leadership. As a result, many
went to prison and some were executed. After the war, an appeal was made to
the General Conference to correct this error. The appeal was rejected and to
our present knowledge the guilt of this blood has not yet been purged by
repentance and confession. Yet, none dare call it apostasy.] [In 1982, theologians met in Lima, Peru, to
discuss unity of doctrine regarding baptism, the eucharist and ministry. They
unanimously recommended a statement on these three doctrines for the official
response of the churches. On the “Faith and Order Paper #11,” they state
Adventists as one of the churches who agreed to this recommendation.] Item: If people who are living in open sin
are retained in churches and true and faithful Seventh- day Adventists are
stripped of their offices and sometimes disfellowshipped, would anyone
recognize an apostasy? [After approximately 1,400 Hungarians were
disfellowshipped for protesting the Church's membership in the Council of
Free Churches, there was an attempt to bring them under the control of the
very organization that had been persecuting them— or else ruin them. They
were told to stop all gatherings, not hold religious meetings, not receive
offerings or early on their religious duties. When the true and faithful
Seventh- day Adventists are disfellowshipped, if none dare call it apostasy
the curse of God will be on us all (See Pilgrims Rest Tract WM- 140, July
1986; also Our Firm Foundalion
article by Marshall Grosboll, 11/ 88)] Item: If Seventh- day Adventist college
alumni associations began sponsoring Easter sunrise services at one of our
denominational college chapels, would you think someone would acknowledge an
apostasy? [In 1992, Atlantic Union College's Alumni
Association invited the alumni to an Easter sunrise service.] Item: When
administrators attempt to cover up sin in the ministry or the sins of the
wealthy and prominent, instead of calling for repentance, confession and
reformation of life, would anyone recognize apostasy? Item: If ministers who teach the people
they can live on in sin until Jesus comes and still be saved are retained,
but true and faithful ministers who preach the three angels' messages are
fired or dismissed. Does anyone recognize an apostasy? [List: Ken Knutson,
Marshall Grosboll, David Bauer] Item: If a hierarchical church government
were developed among those who professed to be the remnant church, would
someone recognize an apostasy? [The apostasy was made evident in the
1970's in the Merikay Silver case (The U. S. vs the SDA Church in EEOC vs
PPPA). It was clearly proclaimed in this case that the SDA Church is hierarchical.
It was also claimed in this case that the General Conference of the church is
the only body having authority to alter the structure of the church, either
in doctrine or organization! (No church has the authority to modify doctrine
— that is a prerogative of Deity alone and to make such a claim is
blasphemous.)] Item: If leaders began to say that Jesus
did not come in fallen, human nature, and therefore, was different from you
and me in that we cannot hope to overcome sin as He did, would anyone admit
to apostasy? [The Questions on Doctrine apostasy was
first pointed out by Elder M. L. Andreasen. He wrote, “We have reached a
crisis in this denomination when leaders are attempting to enforce false
doctrine and threaten those who object” (Letters to the Churches, #3, by M.
L. Andreason, page 8). “A Saviour who has never been tempted, never has had
to battle with passions, who has never ‘offered up prayers and supplications
with strong crying and tears unto Him who was able to save Him from death, 'who
though he were a son' never learned obedience by the things he suffered, but
was ‘exempt' from the very things that a true Saviour must experience: such a
Saviour is what this NEW THEOLOGY as given in Questions on Doctrine offers
us. It is not the kind of Saviour I need, or the World.” Ibid. 7.] Item: If a majority of Seventh- day
Adventist pastors and teachers began to teach that we can be saved in sin,
which is to teach a different gospel than has been historically taught in the
Seventh- day Adventist Church, would anyone begin to realize an apostasy? [A
main tactic for thousands of years by a church that is in apostasy is to
attempt to keep the truth from being examined by the people. The leaders in
Adventism have repeatedly done this: “Included in such discussions have been
related theological concepts such as the nature of Christ, the nature of man,
the nature of sin, perfection and the question as to whether it is possible
for a Christian to live a sinless life.... We are requesting that we refrain
from involving ourselves in public presentations [about these matters]. Adventist Review, May24, 1979, “Open Letter
to the Church,” by Neal C. Wilson.] Item: If an SDA minister who has preached
the historic Adventist message for approximately fifty years, has pastored
some of our largest churches and taught theology in Adventist colleges and
seminaries and never been shown to be preaching heresies denied credentials
without due process and is not even allowed a hearing~ would anyone recognize
an apostasy? This, friend, is a very basic transgression of God's law. But,
none dare call it apostasy! Laodicea does not want to hear about this
apostasy. Either it is denied or others say, “Yes we know there is apostasy
in the church, but why do you want to talk about it all the time?” Friend, as
long as God has a church that is in apostasy, He will send messengers to it
(Isaiah 58: 1). These messengers must warn, rebuke and plead with God’s
professed people to repent, confess and reform or the curse of God will be upon
