The Seven Unpardonable Omega Apostasies of the SDA Church—Part I of VII

"Sins exist in the church that God hates, but they are scarcely touched for fear of making enemies.  Opposition has risen in the church to the plain testimony. Some will not bear it.  They wish smooth things spoken unto them.  And if the wrongs of individuals are touched, they complain of severity, and sympathize with those in the wrong." SG Vole 2 283.   "God calls for men of decided fidelity.  He has no use in an emergency for two-sided men.  He wants man who will lay their hand upon a wrong work and say, 'This is not according to the will of God.'" 2SM 152,153

Dear Reader,

Amazingly, the huge majority of professing Seventh-say Adventists were not alarmed until the Leland Kaiser spiritualist pantheist incident occurred. That is true pathos in light of what you should discern in this study.

In this document I am going to list the abominations mentioned in Scripture that cross God’s line in the sand to constitute unpardonable sin. Then I am going to give the implications as well, demonstrating the results of such sins in order to portray why they are unpardonable in God’s estimation. I am going to cover all the abominations that constitute unpardonable sin but will do so in a presentation of seven different document parts because one part would be too lengthy. This document is part 1 of 7.

Next to understanding the Salvific act of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, it is necessary to understand His conditional requirements for salvation and when those requirements have been violated to the degree of being unpardonable. This, few professing Christians have any grasp of whatsoever. This is as Satan would have it.

All threats and promises of Scripture and Ellen White are in every case conditional until unpardonable sin is committed by an individual and/or a corporate church body via leaders who perpetrate such sin and adopt it into the church structure. This is extremely important to remember. If one does not discern this living fact from Scripture and the Spirit of Prophecy, he/she will misapply the promises of God in an unconditional manner to the detriment of the church as a body (corporately), and to individuals of the laity.

First, here are the unpardonable sin abominations in the order of their occurrence in the church. I will be drawing heavily from Ezekiel chapters 5, 8, 9. 22, and Jeremiah 6 and 11, for it is these chapters that spell out in most graphic detail the reasons for another literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, as God, through Ezekiel 5 and Ellen White have prophesied. There are many who will mock and deride these unpardonable sins as mere faults and defects to their own ultimate damnation. This will be more apparent when I deal with the implications of these unpardonable sins.

1.   The adoptions of the world’s Standards for Accreditation in 1930.

2.   Violation of the first and Second Angel’s messages via ecumenical violations of Isaiah 8:9-14 from the latter 1950’s and on.

3.   Returning to the iniquities of Adventism’s forefathers as a result of ecumenical association, counsel and confederacy with fallen Babylon.

4.   The adoption of the Trinity Doctrine, which defies the sacrificial Atonement of our Lord and Son of God in the heavenly sanctuary at His Incarnation. I will graphically demonstrate how the Trinity Doctrine does away with the Sanctuary and the Atonement, which Ellen White saw GONE in the omega of apostasy.

5.   The teaching of three different gospels by the professing Seventh-day Adventist church.

6.   The formation of a new movement that has fulfilled every specification enumerated by Ellen White in Selected Messages, Bk. 1, 204-5.

7.   The rise of New Age Spiritualism in the church as taught by Loma Linda New Age Seminars and the Leland Kaiser debacle.

Now I am going to elaborate on each of the above unpardonable sin apostasies and give the deep implications in an effort to depict just how serious they are and why they all constitute the reasons why God and Ellen White said that there will be another literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, the last fulfillment being the destruction of Jerusalem, in A.D. 70, Chapter 1, The Great Controversy. Ellen White called that destruction a prefigure that symbolized the destruction of the world at the end-time, and begins at God’s Sanctuary, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211. God says that judgment begins at the house of God, His professing Sanctuary.

Unpardonable sin #1—The adoptions of the world’s Standards for Accreditation in 1930:

Implications: Ellen White said that if the world was brought into the church and the church was thus married to the world, it would become the cage of every unclean and hateful bird. That is language strictly reserved to define Babylon in Revelation 18:2. She said that our educational facilities were to be as the schools of the prophets initiated by Elijah, for the purpose of doing missionary work around the world.

But the church became enamored with mammon, the love of money and material goods. In order to obtain those goods, and for purposes of bringing more money into the coffers of the church, worldly education to obtain other jobs other than missionary world was the necessary requisite. Ellen White approved of only medical personnel going to the world for accreditation and that was because of the absolute requirement for that field of endeavor.

That blueprint was soon disbanded after Ellen White’s death and worldly education and career avocations were pursued, thus marrying the church and its members to worldly pursuits. Satan could have had no easier track into a coup of the church than through the track of education of the youth and now adults.

To see the dire implication of this act, note that the alpha of apostasy came through John Harvey Kellogg, whom Ellen and James White sent to medical school. Ironically, he was the originator of the Alpha of Apostasy in the church. Why? How? It all resulted primarily because of the education he got from the world while taking medicine in its institutions. So the deep implication of adopting the world’s Accreditation Standards in 1930, and this act was voted on by a few leaders, as opposed to the General Conference in Session, is that the worldly education standards thereafter pursued and enforced by the world’s Accreditation Boards, have resulted in the omega of apostasy, just as Kellogg’s worldly education resulted in the alpha of apostasy in the church.

SDA professors who have gone to the world Seminaries for their religious education, have come back into our colleges and universities and have taught that there is no Sanctuary and that the Atonement was totally completed on the cross. What does Ellen White say? What does the Sanctuary Service demand? Ellen  White says that the work of Christ in the Sanctuary above NOW, is “just as essential” as His death on the cross:

"The intercession of Christ in man's behalf in the sanctuary above is as essential to the plan of salvation as was His death upon the cross. By His death He began that work which after His resurrection He ascended to complete in heaven. We must by faith enter within the veil, 'whither the forerunner is for us entered.' Hebrews 6:20:" E.G. White, The Great Controversy, 1911 edition, p. 489.

What is Christ doing now in the Sanctuary? On the typical Day of Atonement, the High Priest could not come out of the Sanctuary until every sin of the camp was confessed. Christ is waiting for a bride to purify herself with the aid of His Holy Spirit, for that was the purpose of the Father’s raising up of His Son:

Act 3:26  Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

The people listened intently to hear the bells on the robe of the High Priest to hear that he was coming out so they could know that their sins were forgiven and the camp was clean of sin. All who had sinned and not put away all sin were removed from the camp so that the sacrifice of the High Priest would be accepted and the people could retain the presence and blessing of God in the Holy of Holies.

The presence of sin in any church thus hinders the coming of Jesus Christ and the cleansing of the Sanctuary. The presence of unpardonable sin demands another coming out of a people who have not committed unpardonable sin. Did Ellen White say that we could hinder or hasten the coming of Christ?

Yes indeed. She said that Christ could have come in 1844 and 1888.

Charge It Not to God.--We may have to remain here in this world because of insubordination many more years, as did the children of Israel; but for Christ's sake, His people should not add sin to sin by charging God with the consequence of their own wrong course of action.--Letter 184, 1901. {Ev 696.3}

     We May Hasten the Day.--By giving the gospel to the world it is in our power to hasten our Lord's return.--The Desire of Ages, p. 633. (1898) {Ev 696.4}

     It is the privilege of every Christian, not only to look for, but to hasten the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Were all who profess His name bearing fruit to His glory, how quickly the whole world would be sown with the seed of the gospel. Quickly the last harvest would be ripened, and Christ would come to gather the precious grain.--Testimonies, vol. 8, pp. 22, 23. (1904) {Ev 696.5}

Jesus is administering pleading His blood to the Father that His Spirit be sent to all who desire it for the purpose of overcoming all iniquity so He can cleanse the Sanctuary and come. All who are not agonizing and putting away sin in the life will be put out of the camp of the heavenly kingdom depicted in Hebrews 12:22, 23.

   The Reason for the Delay

     Deferred in Mercy.--The long night of gloom is trying, but the morning is deferred in mercy, because if the Master should come, so many would be found unready. God's unwillingness to have His people perish has been the reason of so long delay. -- Testimonies, Vol. 2, p. 194. (1868) {Ev 694.2}

     The Work Might Have Been Done.--Had the purpose of God been carried out by His people in giving to the world the message of mercy, Christ would, ere this, have come to the earth, and the saints would have received their welcome into the city of God.-- Testimonies, vol. 6, p. 450. (1900) {Ev 694.3}

     I know that if the people of God had preserved a living connection with Him, if they had obeyed His Word, they would today be in the heavenly Canaan. --General Conference Bulletin, March 30, 1903. {Ev 694.4}

     Satan Has Stolen a March on Us.--If every watchman on the walls of Zion had given the trumpet a certain sound, the world might ere this has heard the message of warning. But the work is years behind. While men have slept, Satan has stolen a march upon us.--Testimonies, vol. 9, p. 29. (1909)

                                                                            695

{Ev 694.5}

     No Failure of God's Promises.--The angels of God in their messages to men represent time as very short. Thus it has always been presented to me. It is true that time has continued longer than we expected in the early days of this message. Our Saviour did not appear as soon as we hoped. But has the Word of the Lord failed? Never! It should be remembered that the promises and the threatenings of God are alike conditional. {Ev 695.1}

     God had committed to His people a work to be accomplished on earth. The third angel's message was to be given; the minds of believers were to be directed to the heavenly sanctuary, where Christ had entered to make atonement for His people. The Sabbath reform was to be carried forward. The breach in the law of God must be made up. The message must be proclaimed with a loud voice, that all the inhabitants of earth might receive the warning. The people of God must purify their souls through obedience to the truth, and be prepared to stand without fault before Him at His coming. {Ev 695.2}

     Had Adventists, after the great disappointment in 1844, held fast their faith and followed on united in the opening providence of God, receiving the message of the third angel and in the power of the Holy Spirit proclaiming it to the world, they would have seen the salvation of God, the Lord would have wrought mightily with their efforts, the work would have been completed, and Christ would have come ere this to receive His people to their reward. But in the period of doubt and uncertainty that followed the disappointment, many of the advent believers yielded their faith. . . . Thus the work was hindered, and the world was left in darkness. Had the whole Adventist body united upon the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, how widely different would have been our history! {Ev 695.3}

Since the world was indeed brought into the church and married to the church, it has become the cage of every unclean and hateful bird. It is now just as impossible for that church to be the Nobel Ship that goes into port heaven as it was for the apostate Jewish church after it apostatized.

 "The world must not be introduced into the church, and married to the church, forming a bond of unity. Through this means the church will become indeed corrupt, and as stated in Revelation, 'a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.'" Testimonies to Ministers, p. 265.

Because SDA professors went to Babylon’s seminaries for PhD. Degrees, and were there convinced that there is no sanctuary, thus, that voids the knowledge that we must put away sin for Jesus to come and the church sinks into Laodicean stupor for the lack of buying gold tried in the fire, faith that works by love, working genuine repentance and putting sin from the life. Thus, in the omega of apostasy, the Sanctuary is rendered GONE, the Atonement GONE, and the ministering brethren don’t seem to understand what is transpiring:

Sanctuary Gone Atonement Gone -- "In a representation which passed before me, I saw a certain work being done by medical missionary workers. Our ministering brethren were looking on, watching what was being done, but they did not seem to understand. The foundation of our faith, which was established by so much prayer, such earnest searching of the Scriptures, was being taken down, pillar by pillar. Our faith was to have nothing to rest upon--the sanctuary was gone, the atonement was gone." E.G. White, The Upward Look, 152.

The above statement is what would have occurred in the alpha of apostasy if it had not been met by Ellen White, and what HAS occurred in the omega because “nothing will be allowed to stand in its way,” 1SM 205, and it will wax stronger until Jesus comes, to wit:

Wax stronger "One thing it is certain is soon to be realized, the great apostasy, which is developing and increasing and waxing stronger, and will continue to do so until the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout. We are to hold fast the first principles of our denominated faith, and go forward from strength to increased faith. Ever we are to keep the faith that has been substantiated by the Holy Spirit of God from the earlier events of our experience until the present time. We need now larger breadth, and deeper, more earnest, unwavering faith in the leadings of the Holy Spirit. If we needed the manifest proof of the Holy Spirit's power to confirm truth in the beginning, after the passing of the time, we need to-day all the evidence in the confirmation of the truth, when souls are departing from the faith and giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. There must not be any languishing of soul now." (E.G. White, Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 7, p. 57).

That is how the church has committed unpardonable sin via marriage to the world.

Church becomes Laodicean 1852 (June 10) "Many who profess to be looking for the speedy coming of Christ, are becoming conformed to this world, and seek more earnestly the applause of those around them, than the approbation of God. They are cold and formal, like the nominal church, that they but a short time since separated from. The words addressed to the Laodicean Church, describe their present condition perfectly....And unless they heed the counsel of the 'faithful and True Witness,' and zealously repent, and obtain 'gold tried in the fire,' 'white raiment,' and 'eye-salve,' he will spue them out of his mouth." E.G. White, Review and Herald, June 10, 1852, Vol. 1, p. 18, col. 2.

Lukewarm Laodiceans are one thing. Cold, unpardonable sin apostates are quite another. Ellen White clearly stated that in becoming and remaining Laodicean, the church would be regarded with no more favor by God than the fallen churches of Babylon:

 "If the church of God becomes LUKEWARM [LAODICEAN] it does not stand in favor with God any more than do the churches that are represented as having fallen and become the habitation of devils and the hold of every foul spirit and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird. Those who have had opportunities to hear and receive the truth, and who have united with the Seventh-day Adventist church, calling themselves the commandment keeping people of God, and yet possess no more vitality and consecration to God than do the nominal churches, will receive of the plagues of God just as verily as the churches who oppose the law of God." E.G. White, Letter 35, 1898.

Did the church become Laodicean? Yes. Has the church remained Laodicean? Yes. Why was the church separated from the world in 1844, and churches that could not be distinguished from the world, Early Writings, p. 273?

"It was to separate the church of Christ from the corrupting influence of the world that the first angel's message was given. But with the multitude, even of professed Christians, the ties which bound them to earth were stronger than the attractions heavenward. They chose to listen to the voice of worldly wisdom and turned away from the heart-searching message of truth...When the churches spurned the counsel of God by rejecting the advent message, the Lord rejected them. The first angel was followed by a second...This message was understood by Adventist to be an announcement of the moral fall of the churches in consequence of their rejection of the FIRST MESSAGE." E.G. White, Story of Redemption, p. 364.

“The coming of Christ as our high priest to the most holy place, for the cleansing of the sanctuary, brought to view in Daniel 8:14 the coming of the Son of man to the Ancient of Days, as presented in Daniel 7:13 and the coming of the Lord to His temple, foretold by Malachi, are descriptions of the same event and this is also represented by the coming of the bridegroom to the marriage, described by Christ in the parable of the ten virgins, of Matthew 25.

In the summer and autumn of 1844 the proclamation, "Behold, the Bridegroom cometh," was given. The two classes represented by the wise and foolish virgins were then developed--one class who looked with joy to the Lord's appearing, and who had been diligently preparing to meet Him another class that, influenced by fear and acting from impulse, had been satisfied with a theory of the truth, but were destitute of the grace of God. In the parable, when the bridegroom came, "they that were ready went in with him to the marriage." The coming of the bridegroom, here brought to view, takes place before the marriage. The marriage represents the reception by Christ of His kingdom. The Holy City, the New Jerusalem, which is the capital and representative of the kingdom, is called "the bride, the Lamb's wife." Said the angel to John: "Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the Lamb's wife." "He carried me away in the spirit," says the prophet, "and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God." Revelation 21:9, 10.”

Ron’s Commentary: How did those who were ready go in with Christ to the marriage? They entered the Heavenly Sanctuary by faith, Early Writings, p. 260, and the heavenly church of Hebrews 12:22, 23—by faith. Who was ready? Fifty Philadelphians were ready on October 22, 1844. Before that date there were upwards of 100,000 Mille rites.

The foolish virgins are Laodiceans:

"The state of the Church represented by the foolish virgins is also spoken of as the Laodicean state." E.G. White, Review and Herald, 8/19/1890.

“Clearly, then, the bride represents the Holy City, and the virgins that go out to meet the bridegroom are a symbol of the church. In the Revelation the people of God are said to be the guests at the marriage supper. Revelation 19:9. If guests, they cannot be represented also as the bride. Christ, as stated by the prophet Daniel, will receive from the Ancient of Days in heaven, "dominion, and glory, and a kingdom" He will receive the New Jerusalem, the capital of His kingdom, "prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." Daniel 7:14 Revelation 21:2. Having received the kingdom, He will come in His glory, as King of kings and Lord of lords, for the redemption of His people, who are to "sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob," at His table in His kingdom (Matthew 8:11 Luke 22:30), to partake of the marriage supper of the Lamb.

The proclamation, "Behold, the Bridegroom cometh," in the summer of 1844, led thousands to expect the immediate advent of the Lord. At the appointed time the Bridegroom came, not to the earth, as the people expected, but to the Ancient of Days in heaven, to the marriage, the reception of His kingdom. "They that were ready went in with Him to the marriage: and the door was shut." They were not to be present in person at the marriage for it takes place in heaven, while they are upon the earth. The followers of Christ are to "wait for their Lord, when He will return from the wedding." Luke 12:36. But they are to understand His work, and to follow Him by faith as He goes in before God. It is in this sense that they are said to go in to the marriage.

In the parable it was those that had oil in their vessels with their lamps that went in to the marriage. Those who, with a knowledge of the truth from the Scriptures, had also the Spirit and grace of God, and who, in the night of their bitter trial, had patiently waited, searching the Bible for clearer light--these saw the truth concerning the sanctuary in heaven and the Saviour's change in ministration, and by faith they followed Him in His work in the sanctuary above. And all who through the testimony of the Scriptures accept the same truths, following Christ by faith as He enters in before God to perform the last work of mediation, and at its close to receive His kingdom--all these are represented as going in to the marriage.” The Great Controversy, pp. 426-7.

IS THE CONFERENCE THE VOICE OF GOD WHEN A FEW MEN ENACT MEASURES THAT CONSTITUTE UNPARDONABLE SIN BY LEADING THE CHURCH INTO WORLDLINESS?

Some Adventists believe the conference will always be the voice of God.  In the early years Mrs. White described the opinions handed down by the conference in session as "the voice of God."  If we look at later statements by her, we will find she changed her opinion over time as the conference changed and became less obedient to God.  If the conference was a faithful organization, making Bible-based decisions, not popularity-based decisions, not following the world, we would be able to consider it to be the voice of God:

“God has ordained that the representatives of His church from all parts of the earth, when assembled in a General Conference, shall have authority. The error that some are in danger of committing is in giving to the mind and judgment of one man, OR A SMALL GROUP OF MEN, the full measure of authority and influence that God has vested in His church in the judgment and voice of the General Conference assembled to plan for the prosperity and advancement of the world.

    When this power, which God has placed in the church, is accredited wholly to one man, and he is invested with the authority to be judgment for other minds, then the true Bible order is changed. Satan's efforts upon such a man's mind would be most subtle and sometimes well-nigh overpowering, for the enemy would hope that through his mind he could affect many others. Let us give to the highest organized authority in the church that which we are prone to give to one man or to a small group of men. {9T 261.1}

Power was given to a small group of men in 1930, to adopt the Accreditation Standards of the world for our educational institutions. Those standards led to marriage to the world’s standards. In such case, the General Conference is no longer the voice of God to the church. The same thing occurred with ecumenical involvement of the church. It was a small group of leaders who consented to lead the church into association, counsel and confederacy with Babylon via ecumenical linkage in violation of Isaiah 8:9-14. I will prove in another document that this is unpardonable sin.

1899 "Let those in America who suppose the voice of the General Conference to be the voice of God, become one with God before they utter their opinions." Testimony to Elder S.N. Haskell, 11-16-99

1899 "It has been some years since I have considered the General Conference as the voice of God." GCD 2-24-99.

1901 "That these men should stand in a sacred place to be the voice of God to the people as we once believed the General Conference to be, that is past." GC Bulletin 1901, 25.

1901 "It is working upon wrong principles that has brought the cause of God into its present embarrassment.  The people have lost confidence in those who have the management of the work.  Yet we hear that the voice of the Conference is the Voice of God.  Every time I have heard this, I have thought that it was almost blasphemy....We have reached the time when the work cannot advance while wrong principles are cherished." Man. 37, 1901.

1901 "Year after year the same acknowledgment was made, but the principles which exalt a people were not woven into the work.  God gave them clear light as to what they should do, but they departed from that light and it is a marvel to me that we stand in as much prosperity as we do today." GC Bulletin, 1901, 23.

1909 "Every individual soul has a responsibility before God, and he is not to be arbitrarily instructed by men as to what he shall do, and what he shall say, and where he shall go.  We are not to put confidence in the counsel of men and assent to all they say unless we have evidence that they are under the influence of the Spirit of God." RH 7-1-09.

Conclusions:

·      Ellen White said that if the church became married to the world, it would become the cage of every unclean and hateful bird. It did become married to the world by accepting its Accreditation Standards. A small group of GC leadership did this without the consent of the people in General Conference Session. Ellen White explicitly stated that when a few group of men act as the voice of God, the church leadership is no longer the voice of God.

·      Ellen White said that if the church became Laodicean it would be not be regarded by God with any more favor than the fallen churches who had become the cage of every unclean and hateful bird. It did become and remain Laodicean.

·      Marriage to the world and learning in its seminaries, has led SDA theological professors to teach that there is no ongoing Sanctuary message, and without the Sanctuary, there is no on-going Sanctuary message, and there is thus no ongoing Day of Atonement, and no ongoing work by Christ that is “just as essential” to the plan of salvation as was His death on the cross.

·      By removing the Sanctuary and the Atonement messages, the church has “removed God,” and that was prophesied to be part of the omega in Selected Messages, Bk. 1, 205. That is unpardonable sin of the most grievous nature.

·      Ellen White said that the omega would surely develop and wax stronger until Jesus comes.

·      Wax stronger "One thing it is certain is soon to be realized, the great apostasy, which is developing and increasing and waxing stronger, and will continue to do so until the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout. 7, p. 57).

·      Ellen White said that NOTHING would be allowed to stand in the way of the New Movement. She must have meant the omega, because she certainly stood in the way of the alpha!

·      "The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A NEW ORGANIZATION would be established. Books of a NEW ORDER would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the NEW MOVEMENT. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but GOD BEING REMOVED, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure. Who has authority to begin such a [NEW] movement? We have our Bibles, we have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the Holy Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not repudiate everything that is not in harmony with this truth? E.G. White, Selected Messages, Vol. 1, 204, 205.

·      Nothing and nobody is going to turn the New Movement around because it has committed 7 unpardonable sin which we shall see.

End of Unpardonable Sin #1.
