ALLERGY ALERT ISSUED ON SOME SOY MILK
Jasper Products of Joplin, Mo., is recalling soy milk packaged
under the brand names of Stop & Shop, Western Family, Safeway
Select and Full Circle. The company is recalling 5,069 cases
of the 32-fluid-ounce cartons of the soy milk because it may
contain dairy proteins that may cause unwanted reactions in
individuals who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to dairy
proteins. The soy milk was distributed to warehouses in
Washington, Oregon, Utah, Missouri, New York and Minnesota for
further distribution to retail grocery stores nationwide. At
issue are the following brands and lot codes: Stop & Shop
Original Soymilk lot code 2280P1F1A, Stop & Shop Vanilla
Soymilk lot code 2280P1F1A, Western Family Vanilla Soymilk
lot code 2280P1F1A, Safeway Select Vanilla Soymilk lot codes
2280P1F1A and 2280P1F2A, Full Circle Original Soymilk lot
code 2280P1F1A, Full Circle Vanilla Soymilk lot code
2280P1F2A. Thus far, one case of an allergic reaction has
been reported. Consumers who have purchased these products
should return them to the place of purchase for a full re-
