The Principles of Truth Discarded by New Movement Adventism

“The Lord will put new, vital force into His work as human agencies obey the command to go forth and proclaim the truth.  He who declared that His truth would shine forever will proclaim this truth through faithful messengers, who will give the trumpet a certain sound.  The truth will be criticized, scorned, and derided; but the closer it is examined and rested, the brighter it will shine.”  E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk. 1, 201

Dear Reader,

Ellen White made it plain the her statement (above in the title heading, that the truth would be proclaimed by other faithful messengers (plural), who would give a clarion sound to the warning trumpet.  She said that this truth would be criticized, scorned and derided, and so it is everyday that passes.

We are going to explore how the professing SDA church has abundantly fulfilled every specification of the following prediction by Ellen White.

"The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A NEW ORGANIZATION would be established. Books of a NEW ORDER would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the NEW MOVEMENT. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but GOD BEING REMOVED, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure.

Who has authority to begin such a [NEW] movement? We have our Bibles, we have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the Holy Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not repudiate everything that is not in harmony with this truth? E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk. 1, 204, 205.

The principles are the standards and the pillar doctrines.  Ellen White said that the Godhead was a pillar doctrine.  She said that the Holy Spirit is the life and Soul of Christ.  The church dumped that pillar doctrine and adopted Rome's concept of the Godhead, the Trinity Doctrine, which says that the Holy Spirit has always been a separate person from Christ, rather than His life and soul, sacrificed for, and bequeathed to us at His incarnation.

This week Dennis Stickney sent me a copy of the teachings of Amazing Facts and Doug Batchelor, on the Trinity Doctrine.  I want to assure you friend, in the name of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, that when the SDA church accepted the Trinity Doctrine, the Central Doctrine of Roman Catholicism in the early 1930’s, that was no minor apostasy from the truth.  Why?  Because the gift of the Holy Spirit to the SDA church via Ellen G. White, informed us that the Godhead is a pillar doctrine of Seventh-day Adventism.  The following link proves that the Trinity Doctrine is the Central Doctrine of Roman doctrine of Seventh-day Adventism https://omega77.tripod.com/centraldoctrine.htm

The Fundamental Principle of the Godhead as a Pillar Doctrine of Pioneer Seventh-day Adventism

Godhead as a pillar doctrine -- Personality of God and of Christ Landmarks: "Those who seek to remove the old landmarks are not holding fast they are not remembering how they have received and heard. Those who try to bring in theories that would remove the pillars of our faith concerning the sanctuary or concerning the personality of God or of Christ, are working as blind men. They are seeking to bring in uncertainties and to set the people of God adrift without an anchor." {MR760 9.5}

Ellen White said that the Omega of Apostasy would involve the personality of God:

“I have been instructed by the heavenly messenger that some of the reasoning in the book Living Temple is unsound, and that this sreasoning would lead astray the minds of those who are not thoroughly established on the foundation principles of present truth.  It introduces that which is nought but speculation in regard to the personality of God and where His presence is. No one on this earth has a right to speculate on this question.” E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk. 1, p. 202.

The Alpha of Apostasy involved the personality of God and the presence of His Holy Spirit.  The Omega involves that very thing.  It involves the identity of the Holy Spirit and who comes to us when the Holy Spirit comes.  It involves the purpose of the Holy Spirit.  In involves the great sacrifice surrounding the gift of the Holy Spirit to the church.

“But the Lord has lifted the curtain, and has shown me the result that would follow.  The spiritualistic theories regarding the personality of God, followed to their logical conclusion, sweep away the whole Christian economy.  They estimate as nothing the light that Christ came from heaven to give John to give to His people.  They teach that the scenes just before us are not of sufficient importance to be given special attention. They make of no effect the truth of heavenly origin, and rob the people of God of their past experience, giving them instead a false science.”  E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk. 1, 204.

I am going to demonstrate that the false science Ellen White refers to relates to a false gospel.  This relates to the conditions for salvation as the scenes just before us test those conditions in our character.  The false gospel science rob the people of God of their past experience of what is conditional to salvation via sanctification and justification and how both are properly arrived at.

“In the book Living Temple there is presented the alpha of deadly heresies.  The omega WILL FOLLOW, and will be received by those who are not willing to heed the warning God has given.” E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk. 1, 200.

“When I first left the State of Maine, it was to go through Vermont and Massachusetts, to bear a testimony against these sentiments.  Living Temple (Kellogg’s spiritualistic book on the Holy Spirit and the Godhead) contains the alpha of these theories.  I knew that the omega would follow in a little while; and I trembled for our people. I knew that I must warn our brethren and sisters not to enter into controversy over the presence and personality of God. The statements made in Living Temple in regard to this point are incorrect.  The scripture used to substantiate the doctrine there set forth, is scripture misapplied.”  E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk. 1, 203.

I repeat for emphasis:  Ellen White said:  “I knew that the omega would follow in a little while; and I trembled for our people. I knew that I must warn our brethren and sister not to enter into controversy over the presence and personality of God.”

The church was to accept Ellen White’s definition of the Holy Spirit given at the acme of the Alpha[RB1]  .  There was to be no controversy over this issue!  But the church’s outright rejection of that definition, by the act of adopting the Trinity Doctrine, which is in diametric opposition to Ellen White definition, has led to much overdue controversy and the issue of the Omega must now be addressed. It is amazing to consider that I was removed from Pastor Larry Kirkpatrick’s Great Controversy e-mail group, because I persisted in agitating this all important issue involving the Omega of Apostasy, and the Godhead, which is so basic to the truth.  If he countermanded the leaders on their position of the Trinity Doctrine, that would not be healthy for his vocation and his purse, and God says that when the watchmen apostatize they “teach for hire.”

It is profoundly important that Ellen White KNEW that the Omega of Apostasy would follow “in a little while,” and not one Seventh-day Adventist in the New Movement organization “church,” knows what it involves and can put their finger on how her prophecy was fulfilled in the early 1930’s via the adoption of the Trinity Doctrine, Rome’s Central Doctrine, by the professing Seventh-day Adventist church!  That is amazing!

No lie is of the truth. If we follow cunningly devised fables, we unite with the enemy's forces against God and Christ. God calls upon those who have been wearing a yoke of human manufacture to break this yoke, and no longer be the bond servants of men. {1SM 194.1}

This statement is so important friend. If we folly ANY LIE, we unite with the enemy’s forces against God and Christ.  That is so profoundly important. Please pray that you will never forget that principle of truth.

So, if the Trinity Doctrine is a lie, we unite with the enemy’s forces against God and Christ[RB2] .  We unite with the enemy Roman Catholicism and Satan, in adopting that lie which was spawned by Satan and adopted by Rome, and now professing, New Movement Seventh-day Adventist.  What do I mean by New Movement Seventh-day Adventism.  You will surely understand by the time you are done reading this document.

The Beginning of the New Movement—New Organization in 1901

"Come now, and let us reason together saith the Lord; though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land; but if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword; for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers. Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water; thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves; every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards; they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them."  {ST, April 2, 1902 par. 5}.

The only faithful city was Philadelphia, circa 1844, until it became Laodicean in 1856.  Thus, the church was called a harlot in April of 1902, and in 1903 as well.  It did not repent from 1902 to 1903.  In fact, it began a New Organization in 1902, which defied the instruction of Ellen White and the minority committee of 1901, not to have a General Conference President, but rather elect a committee of 25 men.  Arthur Daniels was elected President in 1901, as I said, in DEFIANCE of Ellen White's counsel, and he continued to play the role as a rule or ruin President until 1922.

Past Presidents

"Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit. Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the Lord. For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water." "For of old time I have broken thy yoke, and burst thy bands; and thou saidst, I will not transgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the harlot. Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed; how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me? For though thou wash thee with niter, and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord." {E.G. White, Signs of the Times, October 2, 1893 par. 1}

Here is another place she called the church a harlot in 1882, eleven years before 1903:

"No stronger delusion can possess the human mind than that which makes men believe they are on the right foundation, and that God accepts their works, when they are sinning against him. When placed in the furnace fire to be tried by the great Refiner, much that has been esteemed fine gold will be consumed as dross. Can Christ say of his professed followers, These are my peculiar people; I gave myself for them, to redeem them from all iniquity, that they should show forth my praise, who have called them out of darkness into my marvelous light. Would not the Lord say, rather, How is the beautiful city become a harlot, and my Father's house a place of merchandise. Because of your unbelief, I cannot do many mighty works among you." {RH, November 7, 1882 par. 12}

Who is she speaking of? His professed followers, His peculiar people, the beautiful city, His father's house--the church obviously.  How could the SDA church of 1882, recover from being a harlot if ALSO IN 1882, Ellen White said that the church leaders would NEVER AGAIN show the house of Jacob its sins? Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 211.  Now look in the flyleaf pages of 5T to find that page 211 was written in 1882.

"How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers. Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water: thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them." {Ellen G. White, Fundamentals of Christian Education, 222.1} October, 1893. (See flyleaf pages for date of this page).

Other principles that have been sacrificed or greatly compromised are:

The SDA church is teaching a false gospel along side the true gospel. Also, the church teaches the wrong concept of the human nature of Jesus Christ.  It teaches that Christ did not come in sinful flesh of Adam after the fall[RB3] .  Le Roy Edwin Froom taught in Ministry magazine that Christ had the nature of Adam before the fall.  That is an antichrist view that the church has never repented for.  A correct understanding of the gospel clusters around the correct concept of the human nature of Christ.  Ellen White says that EVERYTHING clusters around one's understanding of the human nature of Christ, and she is right.

"Any connection with infidels and UNBELIEVERS which would identify us with them is FORBIDDEN by the word. We are to come out from them and be separate. in no case are we to link ourselves with them in their plans or work." E. G. White,  Fundamentals of Christian Education,  482.

The True Gospel Versus Forensic Justification Only

God says to accurse any, even an angel who should come with another gospel[RB4] .  This is another reason to forsake New Movement Adventism which has “removed God,” by fulfilling all the specifications of the Omega of Apostasy, 1SM 204-5.

The gospel of SDA leaders like Roy Adams, William Johnnson, and many other high placed SDA leaders, teaches forensic justification only or the imputed righteousness of Christ ONLY, as necessary for salvation.  They teach that good works will follow as a result of being saved, but the true repentance or a turning away from sin via grace given for obedience, Rom. 1:5, IS NOT a condition for salvation or justification, nor is such meritorious toward one’s salvation—even works of obedience empowered by the Holy Spirit.  All this reduces to the Doctrine of the Nicolaitans which God especially hates[RB5] .

Christ imputes His righteousness to us when we are born again.

"By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name." Romans 1:5.

"God would have us quicken our powers by appropriating his grace and communicating it. Just in accordance with the GRACE IMPARTED will be the GRACE GIVEN US TO USE. We must work while the day lasts. Pure doctrines have been lost and as the result, error has taken the field where truth alone should be. God's requirements are lost sight of. All that can possibly be done should be done to dispel the moral darkness." E.G. White, Review and Herald, 07-26-98.

We see clearly from the above statement that Grace is imparted and Grace is Given us to use. God would have us QUICKEN OUR POWERS by appropriating His Grace and communicating it. If we can quicken our powers by appropriating His Grace, I believe that this refers to grace as power for obedience, Rom. 1:5. Some cannot see or discern this device, this gift God has proffered, but that does not discount or do despite to the gift.

"But by repentance and faith we are justified before God, and through divine grace enabled to render obedience to His commandments." E.G. White, The Sanctified Life, p. 81.

"The impartation of the Spirit is the impartation of the life of Christ" Desire of Ages, p. 805.

"The righteousness by which we are JUSTIFIED is imputed, the righteousness by which we are SANCTIFIED is imparted. The first is our title to heaven [Justification], the second is our fitness for heaven [Sanctification]." Messages to Young People 35.

Question:  Can we receive the imputed righteousness of Christ, while not receiving AT THE SAME TIME, the impartation of sanctification?  Does repentance and faith provide both gifts to us--justification and sanctification? Do both occur at the same time?  I believe they do.  So the work of repentance resulting from receiving the imparted gifts of faith and repentance, and the sanctifying impartation of the Spirit, the life of Christ, all come at the same time if one is truly born again. That is the born again experience, and those who live unto the Spirit, the life of Christ, indwelling, do not sin because He does not sin.

Grace and power imputed -- "His imputed grace and power He gives (Imparts) to all who receive Him by faith."  E.G. White Comments, SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 7, p. 929 col. 2 (MS 1, 1892).  Notice the date--1892, four years after the 1888 Message.

You get imputed grace (justification) and power (sanctification) by faith when you receive Christ by faith.  They both accrue to the believer at the same time.

The reason the false gospel is more popular with the foolish virgins is because they want pardon for sin without the gift of grace power given for obedience, Rom. 1:5, because they love sin more than Christ who died for them to give them the gift of His Holy Spirit laid aside at His Incarnation and bequeathed to us as a gift for overcoming sin.

The Real Implication of the Trinity Doctrine and the Doctrine of the Nicolaitans—What They Have in Common

The Trinity Doctrine denies the Incarnation sacrifice of the Divine life and soul of Christ as a bequeathed gift to us for the purpose of regenerating man back into the image of God, when it teaches that the Holy Spirit was always a third entity of the Godhead.  The Holy Spirit always existed as the One Eternal Spirit[RB6]

From God:

Act 3:26  Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

From Ellen White:

"The Power of God in the Third Person.--The prince of the power of evil can only be held in check by the power of God in the third person of the Godhead, the Holy Spirit.-- Special Testimonies, Series A, No. 10, p. 37. (1897).

Emptied Himself --"Literally, 'emptied Himself.' This emptying was voluntary (see on John 10:17, 18).  It was not possible for Christ to retain all the tokens of divinity and still accomplish the Incarnation."  SDA Bible Commentary, vol. 7, p. 155, col. 1.

Emptied Himself -- Laid aside: "It is obvious that prior to being born of the virgin Mary Jesus was not human at all, and only divine. When Jesus became a man, the Bible says, He emptied Himself. 'Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, though it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation ['emptied himself.' --Green's Literal Translation and RSV], and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name." Philippians 2:5-9.

In order for Jesus to become a man He emptied Himself. The Bible is clear that He emptied Himself of at least some of the attributes of divinity. There are certain characteristics that distinguish divinity from humanity. Some of these include: omniscience (all knowing), omnipresence (the ability to be in all places at the same time), omnipotence (all powerful), and immortality (not subject to death). We know for sure from the Bible that Jesus gave up all of these attributes of divinity while He was on earth. To wit:

Omniscience: Jesus said, "But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father." (Mark 13:32) We know that, at least while Christ was on earth, He did not have knowledge of all things. In fact, the Bible says He learned while He was on earth. "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man." (Luke 2:52) It is not possible for a man to increase in wisdom if he already has all wisdom.

Omnipresence: Jesus said, "Nevertheless I tell you the truth It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you but if I depart, I will send him unto you." (John 16:7) Jesus said that it was better for the disciples if He went away so that the Comforter could come to them. He said it would be better for them if the Comforter was there rather than Christ being there physically. Why was that? Jesus said, "I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever Even the Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." (John 14:16-18) Jesus said that the Comforter was dwelling with the disciples while He was on earth, and would be in them in the future. Then He said, "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you."

The disciples were at a disadvantage to have Christ dwelling with them instead of in them. That is why Christ said that it would be better for the disciples for Christ to go away and regain his omnipresence so that He could dwell in them by His Spirit rather than dwelling with them on the outside of them. "The Holy Ghost was not yet given because that Jesus was not yet glorified." (John 7:39) It is evident from this that Christ was limited by His humanity from being in all places at the same time. He did not have omnipresence while He was on earth.

Omnipotence: Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself." (John 5:19) And again, "I can of mine own self do nothing." (John 5:30) According to Jesus, while He was on earth He was not able to do anything by His own power. It is obvious that He was not all powerful while He was on earth.

Immortality: The scripture says, "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man." (Hebrews 2:9) It is obvious that Christ was subject to death while He was a human, for He died for our sins.

It is evident that at least the four primary characteristics of divinity were laid aside by Christ when He came to earth to be a man. Christ was divine while He was on earth, not because of what He was made of or any special powers He had, but because of who He was-the Son of God.

The fullness of the Godhead was dwelling in Christ while He was on earth. "For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." (Colossians 2:9) Paul also wrote, "For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell." (Colossians 1:19) The fullness of the Godhead that dwelt in Christ while He was on this earth was the fullness of God, the Father. Of Jesus John the Baptist said, "God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him." (John 3:34) The Spirit of the Father was given to Christ without measure so that He was filled with all the fullness of God. Paul wrote that "God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself." (2 Corinthians 5:19).

The Bible tells us that even you and I can be filled will all the fullness of God. "And to know the love of Christ, which passed knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God." (Ephesians 3:19) Being filled with all the fullness of God comes by being a partaker of the divine nature. "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." (2 Peter 1:4)

While Jesus was on earth He was a human who was divine because of who He was, not because of what He was made of. He was a partaker of the divine nature of His Father and was filled with all the fullness of God. Any divine powers that were manifested in Christ were a result of His Father dwelling in Him. Jesus said, "The Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works." (John 14:10) Christ was divine because of who He was, but any divine powers manifested in Him were not His own powers, for they were relinquished when He became a man.

The popular Trinitarian idea that Jesus was part divine, retaining all the attributes and powers of divinity, and part human, taking upon Himself the limitations of humanity is incorrect. The Bible says that He emptied Himself of all the powers of divinity when He became a human. Jesus, of Himself, could do nothing. (John 5:19, 30). Lynnford Beachy, Questions and Answers, Present Truth, August, 2000.

I realize the Ellen White says that Christ was fully divine as well as fully human, and I agree with her. That is the mystery part we do not fully understand, because she also says:

“Cumbered with humanity Christ could not be in every place personally, therefore it was altogether for their advantage that He should leave them to go to His Father and send the Holy Spirit to be His successor on earth. The Holy Spirit is Himself divested of the personality of humanity and independent thereof. He would represent Himself as present in all places by His Holy Spirit.” E.G. White, (Manuscript Releases Volume 14 (No’s 1081-1135) MR No.1084.

Does Scripture says that the Holy Spirit is Christ?  Notice:

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Jesus thus promises “another” Comforter, but then says: I will come to you.”  It is His former Holy Spirit Divine ONLY life and soul that was sacrificed in the Heavenly Sanctuary sacrifice of the Lamb, that comes to us.  There was a heavenly and earthly fulfillment of the Sanctuary sacrifice.

In the Heavenly sacrifice, the Holy ONE ETERNAL Spirit of the Son of God, was divested of the personality of humanity and independent of such when the Son became humanity. Divested means the same as emptied Himself in this case. That Holy Spirit DIVINE NATURE ONLY, was bequeathed to us as the “greatest good, crowning gift that heaven could bestow.”  To wit:

"Christ declared that after his ascension, he would send to his church, as his crowning gift, the Comforter, who was to take his place. This Comforter is the Holy Spirit,--the soul of his life, the efficacy of his church, the light and life of the world. With his Spirit Christ sends a reconciling influence and a power that takes away sin.

In the gift of the Spirit [HIS LIFE--THE SOUL OF HIS LIFE], Jesus gave to man the highest good that heaven could bestow....

The Spirit was given as a regenerating agency, and without this the [cross] sacrifice of Christ would have been of no avail....

It is by the Spirit that the heart is made pure. Through the Spirit the

believer becomes a partaker of the divine nature. Christ has given his Spirit as a divine power to overcome all hereditary and cultivated tendencies to evil, and to impress his own character upon the church." E.G. White, Review and Herald Articles, May 19, 1904, vol. 5, p. 42.

Let us recount the reasons for the Incarnation sacrifice that are subverted and denied by the Trinity Doctrine:

·       The Holy Spirit did not always exist AS A THIRD PERSON as the Trinity Doctrine maintains.  But the Holy Spirit always existed as the One Eternal Spirit of the Father and the Son.  God is a spirit says Scripture, THE ETERNAL SPIRIT, ONE ETERNAL SPIRIT.

·       Was the Holy Spirit present when the Everlasting Covenant was hewn out between the Father and the Son?  Of course it was.  They both consisted of it.  It was their essence, their very substance, Spirit.

·       The greatest good, crowing gift is the Son’s former life and soul, His Divine Nature.  Scripture admonishes us to partake of His Divine Nature.  That gift was made possible at His Incarnation in the Heavenly Sanctuary.

·       Through the Spirit the believer becomes a partaker of the divine nature. Christ has given his Spirit as a divine power to overcome all hereditary and cultivated tendencies to evil, and to impress his own character upon the church.

·       Without the gift of His Divine Nature, for the purpose of regeneration of man back into God’s image, which we had prior to sin, His death on the cross would have been to no avail but to pardon sin forever, because there would have been no cure for sin.  That is why the gift of the Holy Spirit to overcome sin is the “greatest good, crowning gift that heaven could bestow.”  The greatest gift was not the cross, as mainline Christianity teaches.  A bigger sacrifice than that was made when the Son laid aside His Divine Nature ONLY, estate, as a bequeathed gift to us for overcoming sin[RB7] .

·       A huge sacrifice occurred when the Incarnation in the heavenly sanctuary took place.  Remember, there is a Sanctuary in Heaven, and a sacrifice took place in the Sanctuary.  What was it?  It was the laying aside of the Son’s Holy Spirit life and soul FOREVER AS A SEPARATE DIVINE NATURE ONLY.  From thenceforth, the Son was to be combined with humanity forever.  That was a huge sacrifice.  That was like death to that DIVINE ONLY NATURE.  That “death” satisfied the terms of the Everlasting Covenant, that the Testator of the Covenant[RB8]  must pay the penalty for sin which is eternal death.  That did not occur on the cross, for Christ was in the tomb only three days.  But it did occur in the Sanctuary Sacrifice at the Incarnation in heaven.

·       The wages that had to be paid for our repented of sins wast death of the Testator.  The Atonement must meet the penalty in some wise.  The emptying of the Son of His DIVINE NATURE ONLY existence FOREVER, satisfied that payment, that Testator sacrifice for the sins of repentant mankind.  If we knew what Christ gave up for us FOREVER, we just might be more appreciative of His great sacrifice, made NOT ONLY on the cross, but in the Heavenly Sanctuary, at His Incarnation.  Now, He is cumbered with humanity FOREVER.  That is a sacrifice that we cannot fully comprehend.

·       The Trinity Doctrine thus denies the great Sacrifice made at the Son’s Incarnation, by teaching that the Holy Spirit always existed as a third person and that is one of Satan’s lie.  Why would he tell that lie?  Because by that lie Satan has taken the eyes off the free grace gift of the Holy Spirit, by which we are sanctified, in order to get the church to focus on his lie that forensic, legally imputed justification, pardon, is all that Christ did for us that is meritorious salvation.  That is Satan’s greatest lie next to the one he told Eve in the garden.  Sin and live!  You do not need sanctification as a free gift of grace to be saved.  That is his lie to all foolish virgin “Christians.”  But what does God say about this?

“To put sanctification out of the salvific sphere means undermining one of the most crucial aspects of the gospel which is "Christ in us the hope of glory". One of the main purposes for the life, death, resurrection and priestly work of Jesus, was not only the forgiveness of sins, but also to bring back man into the image of God. It is meant to ultimately expunge sin from our very souls. I believe that this is why the SOP refers to the holy spirit as "The crowing gift, the greatest gift that heaven could bestow" because through that gift is the power to keep us from sin. The two part process of salvation is apparent in the story of the woman caught in adultery. Jesus said, "neither do I condemn you (justification), but He didn't
just leave her with that, he said "Go and sin no more" (Walk in
sanctification).”  This was posted by a friend of mine, Jay Besra, on an SDA Internet group.  Thank you Jay.

Two Sacrifices -- Two sacrifices:

"The darkness rolled away from the Saviour and from the Cross. Christ bowed His head and died. In His Incarnation He had reached the prescribed limit as a sacrifice, but not as a redeemer." E.G. White Manuscript Releases Volume Twelve, p. 409.

"The Incarnation of Christ was an act of self-sacrifice; His life was one of continual self-denial. The highest glory of the love of God to man was manifested in the sacrifice of His only-begotten Son, who was the express image of His person. This is the great mystery of godliness. It is the privilege and the duty of every professed follower of Christ to have the mind of Christ. Without self-denial and cross bearing we cannot be His disciples." E.G. White, Selected Messages, Book 2, p. 185.

Not Advocating Legalistic “Self-empowered Works”—The Difference Between Works of Obedience by the Gift of Grace Given for Obedience, Rom. 1:5

The Jews believe that they could earn salvation by their own commandment-keeping of their own strength.  That was impossible after sin, and God spoke His law to them on Mt. Sinai to prove to them that it was impossible.  They were forever offering sacrifices of their best bounty for their sins.  That was legalism. And SDA’s prior to 1888, and some even after, have sadly and bigotedly believed they would be saved by their Sabbath-keeping and other good works.

But the message of righteousness by faith in 1888, and Ellen White before that, taught that we must receive the free grace gifts of true love, faith and repentance, and that when we choose to do that, we receive grace for obedience, Rom. 1:5, just as we receive grace for pardon.  So there you have the conditions for salvation, which are supplied by grace—both are furnished by free gifts of grace, and both must be accepted.  When we accept both, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to be overcomers.

Works empowered by the Holy Spirit were “earned” by Christ’s victory.  Because of His Incarnation Sacrifice, we may partake of His Divine Nature and overcome the lust of the world.  Those works are His and are thus meritorious toward our salvation.  To say that the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, the “greatest good, crowing gift that heaven can bestow,” are not efficacious and meritorious toward our salvation, is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.  Yet SDA pastors and lay Bible teachers are teaching that Satanic lie to professing Seventh-day Adventists, as the New Movement’s gospel.  Thus, God’s Holy Spirit is removed from the church.  What then?

"He will take his Holy Spirit from the church and Give it to OTHERS who will appreciate it." E. G. White, Review and Herald, July 16, 1895,  Vol. 3, 272.

"The Lord Jesus will always have a chosen people to serve Him. When the Jewish people rejected Christ, the Prince of life, He took from them the kingdom of God and gave it unto the Gentiles. God will continue to work on this principle with every branch of His work. When a church proves unfaithful to the work of the Lord, whatever their position may be, however high and sacred their calling, the Lord can no longer work with them. Others are then chosen to bear important responsibilities. But, if these in turn do not purify their lives from every wrong action, if they do not establish pure and holy principles in all their borders, then the Lord will grievously afflict and humble them and, unless they repent, will remove them from their place and make them a reproach.

God is not 'worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed anything (Acts 17:25)." E.G. White, The Upward Look, 131.

At the end-time, all formally organized churches will be doing their own thing, depicted in Scripture by all the all-inclusiveness symbolized by the seven women (churches) doing their own thing in Isaiah 4:1-4.  That is why God’s final call is a call out of the world and fallen churches that cannot be distinguished from the world, Early Writings, 273, and Isaiah 4:1-4.

Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified

in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin.

Paul is merely saying to the Jews, who believed that salvation was by law keeping, that there is no such thing.  Salvation is by Jesus Christ’s Atonement that provided power to overcome sin, transgression of the law, and pardon for our sins before being born again, and if we should make a mistake thereafter.  This interpretation of Paul is the only one that makes sense unless we make Paul, Scripture, and Ellen White contradict themselves.

Remember, Paul was teaching a bunch of Jews who had always believed that salvation was by law-keeping rather than by the sacrifice of the Son of God for sins and the sacrifice of His Divine Nature to overcome sin.  They were still very attuned to the Old Covenant under which the only means to salvation was personal law-keeping on their own steam.  And they could not do it, so they had to offer sacrifices of their best ability in order to receive forgiveness, and those sacrifices still could not cure the sin problem.  Only the gift of the Holy Spirit could do that.

Rom 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Why?  Because as Laodiceans are counseled, we are to buy gold tried in the fire of obedience to a fiery law[RB9] .  What is the gold?  Faith and love.  If we have faith

Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Rom 2:13     (For not the hearers of the law [are] just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

Rom 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

Ellen White said that Paul wrote Hebrews.  Notice the following by Paul.  How could he mean in part of his writings that we are not saved by obedience to the law, which is transgression of the law, and then say:

Hbr 10:26 ¶ For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Hbr 10:27  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Hbr 10:28  He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

Hbr 10:29  Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Now notice these verses by Paul and Peter:

1Cr 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

1Th 4:3 For this is the will of God, [even] your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

1Th 4:4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

2Th 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

1Pe 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

A lot of SDA Pastors are giving an accursed half-gospel, and there are going to be a lot of disappointed foolish virgins on judgment day.  Desmond Ford and all who have followed in his path will pay the eternal price.

The SDA church goes into the cities and holds “wonderful” evangelistic campaigns today, but where are the really converted?  They are taught a false gospel and come to regard what little of the true gospel that is taught in the church as legalism!

A new order of things has come into the ministry. There is a desire to pattern after other churches, and simplicity and humility are almost unknown. The young ministers seek to be original, and to introduce new ideas and new plans for labor. Some open revival meetings, and by this means call large numbers into the church. But when the excitement is over, where are the converted ones? Repentance and confession of sin are not seen. The sinner is entreated to believe in Christ and accept Him, without regard to his past life of sin and rebellion. The heart is not broken. There is no contrition of soul. The supposed converted ones have not fallen upon the Rock, Christ Jesus. {2SM 18.4}

There was hope for the new order of things until the church formed a New Movement Organization that removed God, by adopting the Trinity doctrine, and later joined Babylon’s associations, counsels, girdings and confederacies.  When Israel did that in Jeremiah’s day, God told him not to pray for them.  The Holy Flesh (God) departed.  And God asked what His beloved (bride) had to do in His house (church) since she had wrought lewdness with many.  The very same condition accrues today.  Ellen White warned that it well could come to this:

COUNTERPART: "The Lord commanded one of his ancient servants, 'Pray not thou for this people [Jer. 7:16 and 11:14], neither lift up cry nor prayer for them neither make intercession to me for I will not hear thee.' The prophet thus describes the sins which had called forth this fearful denunciation: 'The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means and my people love to have it so and what will ye do in the end thereof?' 'From the least of them even unto the greatest of them, every one is given to covetousness and from the prophet even unto the priest, every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.' The apostles declare that this state of things will find its COUNTERPART in the last days. Many have a form of godliness, but in their daily life deny the power thereof. They have ceased to be convicted of their sins or alarmed at their state. They say in their hearts, 'The church is flourishing. Peace and spiritual prosperity are within her borders.' The words of the prophet may well apply to these self-deceivers, 'They have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them." E. G. White,  Second Advent Review and Sabbath Herald, 11-07-82.

You tell me who could be the ONLY counterpart to the Jews who were God’s first “chosen” people, who claimed to keep the commandments, Sabbath and all?!

We must now worship at home as the faithful “beloved” did in Jeremiah’s day—the days of Shinar.  There will be no new organization.  God will gather out a remnant and only that remnant will be saved.

"The recreant priests added licentiousness to the dark catalogue of their crimes yet they still polluted by their presence the tabernacle of the Lord, and, laden with sin, dared to come into the presence of a holy God. As the men of Israel witnessed the corrupt course of the priests, they thought it safer for their families not to come up to the appointed place of worship. Many went from Shiloh with their peace disturbed, their indignation aroused, until they at last determined to offer their sacrifices themselves, concluding that this would be fully as acceptable to God, as to sanction in any manner the abominations practiced in the Sanctuary." E.G. White, The Signs of the Times, vol. 1, p. 264, col. 3, December 1, 1881.

“The eyes of the Lord God of Israel are too pure to behold iniquity, and these utterances of the Lord through his prophets need to be considered by all who claim to be his people. God requires that every man, woman, and youth should perfect a Christian character. The command is, "Be ye holy; for I am holy." Conformity to a low standard of Christianity is robbing the church of its vitality and power. The banner of piety, of Bible religion, has been trailing in the dust, because those who claim to be followers of Jesus Christ follow their own ways, and conform to a standard which God has not given them, but one they have erected for themselves. But those who make a profession of Christianity, and yet fail to have true piety, are false lights, false sign-boards, pointing in a wrong direction. They call evil good, and good evil, darkness light, and light darkness. While claiming to be righteous, they indulge in loose practices after the order of the ungodly man, who has not the love or fear of God before his eyes. They fail to bring the principles of the truth they profess to believe into their life- practices, and regard their sins and errors as trifling things.” {YI, January 25, 1894 par. 2}

When Achan stole the golden wedge and the Babylonish garment, he also thought it was a trifling matter, although God had commanded that all the goods of Jericho should be devoted to utter destruction. Achan thought it was but a little thing to benefit himself by the goods that were to perish if he did not appropriate them. But history shows us that that which was of so little moment in his eyes, was in the eyes of God a matter of great importance; for he had disregarded the word of the Lord. One man of the tribe of Judah had sinned; for he took of the accursed thing, and the anger of the Lord was kindled against the children of Israel. Because of this one man's sin, the presence of the Lord was withdrawn from the armies of Israel. The Lord would not serve with their sins. When the children of Israel went up against Ai, they were defeated, and came back discomfited; for thirty-six warriors had been slain, and the hearts of the people melted and became as water. They were astonished that the Lord had not given them the victory, as he had done in the past. The General of armies was not with them, the armies of heaven had been withdrawn, and the children of Israel had been left to plan for themselves, and to arrange for the battle as their own human wisdom might dictate. {YI, January 25, 1894 par. 3}

Can God’s presence abide in any church that partakes of an accursed gospel?  No, they are left to plan for themselves.

God bless your deep study of His Word is my every desire and prayer,

[RB1]"Christ declared that after his ascension, he would send to his church, as his crowning gift, the Comforter, who was to take his place.

The Spirit was given as a regenerating agency, and without this the sacrifice of Christ would have been of no avail....

[RB2] Most SDA’ and the church’s leaders do not accept Ellen White's principle of corporate responsibility.  The leaders rejected the principle in the 1950’s when Robert J. Wieland and Donald K. Short, presented the facts on corporate responsibility to church leaders.  They thus rejected the following counsel from the Spirit of Prophecy:

The reasons corporate responsibility  accrues are basically because of the hierarchical structure of the organization, whereby there is an elected chain of command from the bottom up.

Theocracy -- "God's people have been called out of the world, that they may be separated from the world. It is not safe for them to take sides in politics, whatever preference they may have. They are ever to remember that they are one in Christ. God calls upon them to enter their names as under His THEOCRACY. He cannot approve of those who link up with worldlings [and churches which cannot be distinguished from the world, Early Writings, 273]. We are entirely out of our place when we identify ourselves with party interests....

God has chosen a people who are to proclaim the third angel's message to the world. They are to be a separate and peculiar people in this world of churches who are transgressing His commandments." E.G. White Manuscript Releases Volume 3, 40, 41.

SDA leaders have categorically denied all Biblical and SOP references to corporate responsibility.

The wise will make understand the implications of the following statements by God and the SOP.  There could not be a greater Bible confirmation of the principle of corporate responsibility than God saying that he who is joined to a harlot is one body.

1Cr 6:16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

"The plain straight testimony must live in the church, or the curse of God will rest upon His people as surely as it did upon ancient Israel because of their sins. God holds His people, as a body [corporately], responsible for the sins existing in individuals among them." Testimonies, vol. 3, p. 269.

Corporate responsibility: "For evils that we might have checked, we are just as responsible as if we were guilty." Desire of Ages, p. 44.

"We are just as responsible for evils that we might have checked in others by exercise of parental or pastoral authority as if the acts had been our own." Patriarchs Prophets, 578.2

[RB3]Rom 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

2Jo 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Thus, New Movement Adventism is responsible for teaching antichrist doctrine to the world, for Ministry magazine is sent out free to thousands of non-SDA theologians and libraries of the world.

[RB4]Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

[RB5]Rev 2:6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

Rev 2:15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

[RB6]Hbr 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

“The” eternal Spirit, connotes ONE ETERNAL SPIRIT, and the Father and the Son both possessed that ONE ETERNAL Spirit.  Thus, the Holy Spirit was always present, even when the Everlasting Covenant was forged from the foundation of the earth.  But that DIVINE ATTRIBUTE of the Son of God, was bequeathed to us at His Incarnation when He emptied himself.

[RB7]“The Father and the Son each have a personality. Christ declared: "I and My Father are one." Yet it was the Son of God who came to the world in human form. Laying aside His royal robe and kingly crown, He clothed His divinity with humanity, that humanity through His infinite sacrifice might become partakers of the divine nature and escape the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (9T pages 67-68)

[RB8]Hbr 9:16 For where a testament [is], there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

Hbr 9:17 For a testament [is] of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

[RB9]Deu 33:2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand [went] a fiery law for them.
