From 1903 until after 1959, the members of "the Executive Committee" was "not to exceed 25 in number". But sometime after 1959, the General Conference Executive Committee was enlarged beyond the limit of 25 members; and today the number of members is over 300. (See: April 10 1903 GC Bulletin and April, 1959 Constitution Bylaws and Working Policy article 5).

Since it was enlarged, there was another Committee formed that controls the General Conference Committee - making this new Committee "the real power behind the GC throne". This committee which consists of The General Conference President, various secretaries, and treasurers, and a few other "invited" individuals - is called "the General Conference Officers Committee", and basically, they "screen" or determine "the items that need to go to the General Conference Committee".

Since this General Conference Officers Committee controls "the items which come before the General Conference Committee", they are in fact the "real power" behind the Conference Committee, and also of the SDA church!

And how many members make up this Officers Committee? "About twenty-five or twenty-six individuals". This is exactly the same number which Ezekiel uses: "about 25"!

Hence, just like in Ezekiel's day, there still is a group of "about 25" individuals which controls the entire SDA church.

For anyone to believe that this number is "just coincidence", that person suffers from a Major lack of spiritual discernment! This number is NOT a coincidence.

In fact, it is one of the "significant" identifying marks clearly showing that the end-time prophecy of the abominations mentioned in Ezekiel 8 applies to none other than the SDA church; and the 24 church elders (who are leaders) + 1 high priest (GC President) of Ezekiel 8:11,16, which turn their backs on the Lord and worship the sun, applies to the General Conference "real" leadership!

We should be praising God for revealing to His true people that the SDA General Conference and its leadership will first give up God's Sabbath themselves for Sunday worship; Thus planting the [3rd] abomination of desolation in the midst of the church! (Compare this with Great Controversy 654.4 and 655.4 and 656.2).

For it is written: They will then devise a way to urge the SDA people to follow them into worshipping on Sunday!

There is need of a Sabbath reform among us, who profess to observe God's holy rest-day. Some discuss their business matters and lay plans on the Sabbath, and God looks upon this in the same light as though they engaged in the actual transaction of business. Others who are well acquainted with the Bible evidences that the seventh day is the Sabbath, enter into partnership with men who have no respect for God's holy day. A Sabbath-keeper cannot allow men in his employ, paid by his money, to work on the Sabbath. If, for the sake of gain, he allows the business in which he has an interest to be carried on on the Sabbath by his unbelieving partner, he is equally guilty with the unbeliever; and it is his duty to dissolve the relation, however much he may lose by so doing. Men may think they cannot afford to obey God, but they cannot afford to disobey him. Those who are careless in their observance of the Sabbath will suffer great loss. {RH, March 18, 1884 par. 7}

The Lord has a controversy with his professed people in these last days. In this controversy men in responsible positions will take a course directly opposite to that pursued by Nehemiah. They will not only ignore and despise the Sabbath themselves, but they will try to keep it from others by burying it beneath the rubbish of custom and tradition. In churches and in large gatherings in the open air, ministers will urge upon the people the necessity of keeping the first day of the week. There are calamities on sea and land: and these calamities will increase, one disaster following close upon another; and the little band of conscientious Sabbath-keepers will be pointed out as the ones who are bringing the wrath of God upon the world by their disregard of Sunday. {RH, March 18, 1884 par. 8}

Since most of the religious people of this world already worship on Sunday, it can NOT be Sunday-keeping ministers who are "urging their Sunday-keeping people to keep Sunday".

It is the "men in responsible positions" of the "professed people" of God (the SDA church leadership), who will urge the necessity of keeping Sunday holy to the SDA people from SDA pulpits and camp-meetings!

Is this already occurring within the SDA church?

YES!

Easter Sunday services and "celebrations" are already occurring throughout SDA churches!
