The Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has
shown me the following interpretation of Ezekiel 20:34-38; Daniel 12:11, 12
and Matthew 24:15, 16. I will bring you out from the peoples and
gather you out of the countries where you are scattered, with a mighty hand,
with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out. And I will bring you into
the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will plead My case with you face
to face. Just as I pleaded My case with your fathers in the wilderness of the
land of Egypt, so I will plead My case with you," says the Lord GOD.
"I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond
of the covenant; I will purge the rebels from among you, and those who
transgress against Me; I will bring them out of the country where they dwell,
but they shall not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the
LORD. Ezekiel 20:34-38. The above verses were conditional to Israel
if they had allowed the purpose for their Captivities to materialize--in
other words: if they had reformed. The Lord has shown me that the above words
now apply to a faithful remnant that is now being gathered out from Babylon
and the world. That faithful remnant will be taken to the wilderness when it
flees to the mountains and the deserts per Matthew 24:14, 15. That faithful
remnant will give the final warning to the world from wilderness outposts.
The Holy Spirit will attend the efforts so that the message will go like fire
in the stubble. The Shepherd's Rod misinterprets Ezekiel
20:34-38. They apply it in a manner that contradicts Ellen White’s
instruction whereas it is now to be applied spiritually to modern Israel.
Ellen White and Matthew 24:15-22 make it clear that we do not go to the land
of Israel. After the millennium, we do return to Israel. Ellen White gives
clear instruction in Testimonies,
Vol. 5, pp. 451 and 464, as to what we are to do. The Shepherd's Rod totally
contradicts those passages of instruction as to what our course is to be in
at the time of the Sunday law, which Ellen White parallels to the
abomination of desolation, when the Roman soldiers first ascended on
Jewish property so many furlongs from the Temple in A.D. 66. I reproduce that
instruction below these verses of Matthew 24, and will elaborate further.
The following evidence by Scripture and Ellen White, is
totally contradicted by the Shepherd's Rod, by their belief that the faithful
will go to literal Israel before Christ comes the second time. Scripture and
Ellen White say to flee to the mountains, not Jerusalem or some other locale
in Israel. Matthew
24:15-22: 15 When
ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the
prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then
let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let
him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his
house: 18
Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And
woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But
pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For
then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the
world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And
except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but
for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
End events: The days are fast
approaching when there will be great perplexity and confusion. Satan, clothed
in angel robes, will deceive, if possible, the very elect. There will be gods
many and lords many. Every wind of doctrine will be blowing. Those who have
rendered supreme homage to "science falsely so called" will not be
the leaders then. Those who have trusted to intellect, genius, or talent will not then
stand at the head of rank and file. They did not keep pace with the light.
Those who have proved themselves unfaithful will not then be entrusted with
the flock. In the last solemn work few great men will be engaged. They are
self-sufficient, independent of God, and He cannot use them. The Lord has
faithful servants, who in the shaking, testing time will be disclosed
81 to view. There
are precious ones now hidden who have not
bowed the knee to Baal. They
have not had the light which has been shining in a concentrated blaze upon
you. But it may be under a rough and uninviting exterior the pure
brightness of a genuine Christian character will be revealed. In the day time
we look toward heaven but do not see the stars. They are there, fixed in the
firmament, but the eye cannot distinguish them. In the night we behold their
genuine luster. {5T 80.1} Note: The "precious ones now hidden" are obviously not
SDA's because "They have not had the light which has been shining in a
concentrated blaze upon you (Adventists). This sets the CONTEXT for 5T p. 81.
Ellen White is not speaking ONLY of the SDA church and the wheat being separated
from the chaff there. She is speaking OF ALL CHURCHES, and the sentence that
"They have not had the light which has been shining in a concentrated
blaze upon you" Adventists, proves this. The time is not far
distant when the test will come to every soul. The mark of the beast
will be urged upon us. Those who have step by step yielded to
worldly demands and conformed to worldly customs will not find it a hard
matter to yield to the powers that be, rather than subject themselves to
derision, insult, threatened imprisonment, and death. The contest is between
the commandments of God and the commandments of men. In this time the gold
will be separated from the dross in the church. True godliness will be
clearly distinguished from the appearance and tinsel of it. Many a star that
we have admired for its brilliancy will then go out in darkness. Chaff like a
cloud will be borne away on the wind, even from places where we see only
floors of rich wheat. All who assume the ornaments of the
sanctuary, but are not clothed with Christ's righteousness, will appear in
the shame of their own nakedness. {5T 81.1} Note: SDA’s always use the above paragraph of the statement (ONLY),
to prove that there is to be no separation until the Sunday Law, but that is
not the meaning at all. The separation of the wheat from the tares at the end THAT INVOLVES ALL CHURCHES,
is far different from any separation from apostasy when ecclesiastical
leaders will not tolerate light concerning the apostasy they have imbibed—Desire
of Ages, 232. The gold is the wheat and the dross is the tares. There will be no
separation from the two until "IN THIS TIME" when the mark of the
beast will be urged upon us. "IN THIS TIME," chaff will be blown
away from where we see only floors of rich WHEAT. This proves we do not know
who is walking the walk and talking the talk! That is a foolish maxim
reasoning of man because only God's knows the heart and He says that what
appears to us as RICH WHEAT is nothing more than DROSS to Him. When trees without fruit are
cut down as cumberers of the ground, when multitudes of false
brethren are distinguished from the true, then the hidden
ones [NON-SDA'S--first paragraph above] will be revealed to
view,
and with hosannas range under the banner of Christ. Those who have
been timid and self-distrustful will declare themselves openly for Christ and
His truth. The most weak and hesitating in the church will be as
David--willing to do and dare. The deeper the night for God's people, the
more brilliant the stars. Satan will sorely harass the faithful; but, in the
name of Jesus, they will come off more than conquerors. Then will the
church of Christ appear "fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and
terrible as an army with banners." {5T 81.2} Note: Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 80, 81, has NOTHING to do with
separating from apostasy BEFORE the Sunday law. It is merely addressing when
the wheat and tares will be separated. Wheat and tares are to dwell together
until the end of time, but that is not so in the case involved with OPEN
SINNERS. Open sin was always to be put out of the camp or the entire church
would be corporately responsible for it. Tares are evidently NOT open
sinners. "Christ has
plainly taught that those who persist in open sin must be separated from the
church, but He has not
committed to us the work of judging character and motive. He
knows our nature too well to entrust this work to us. Should we try to uproot from the church
those whom we suppose to be spurious Christians, we should be sure to make
mistakes. Often we regard as hopeless
subjects the very one whom Christ is drawing to Himself, it would perhaps
extinguish their last hope. Many who
think themselves Christians will at last be found wanting. Many will be in heaven who their neighbors
supposed would never enter there. Man
judges from appearance, but God judges the heart. The tares and the wheat are to grow
together until the harvest; and the harvest is the end of probationary
time." Christ’s Object Lessons, p. 71. Note: One does not have to judge character
and motive to detect OPEN SIN. Obviously, tares are not open sinners. They
are insincere believers whose motives we would have to judge in order to
uproot them. But we can detect open sin and it is to be removed from the
church. When and if the church does not fulfill its duty to reform and or
remove open sinners, then we have to separate from such a church or we become
corporately responsible for the apostate open sin. This is why there has been
separation from apostate churches in every succeeding generation (Desire
of Ages, p. 232), in light of the fact that the wheat and tares grow
together until the harvest. This is why there was a separation in Christ's
day. This is why there was a separation at the Reformation. This is why SDA's
separated from apostate Protestants in 1844, LONG BEFORE THE FINAL SEPARATION
OF THE WHEAT FROM THE TARES! What
is the Abomination of Desolation?
Jesus declared to the listening disciples the judgments that
were to fall upon apostate Israel, and especially the retributive vengeance
that would come upon them for their rejection and crucifixion of the Messiah.
Unmistakable signs would precede the awful climax. The dreaded hour would
come suddenly and swiftly. And the Saviour warned His followers: "When ye
therefore shall see the abomination of
desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in
the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) then let them which be
in Judea flee into the mountains." Matthew 24:15, 16; Luke 21:20, 21.
When the idolatrous standards of the Romans should be set up in the holy
ground, which extended some furlongs outside the city walls, then the
followers of Christ were to find safety in flight. When the warning sign
should be seen, those who would escape must make no delay. Throughout the
land of Judea, as well as in Jerusalem itself, the signal for flight must be
immediately obeyed. He who chanced to be upon the housetop must not go down
into his house, even to save his most valued treasures. Those who were
working in the fields or vineyards must not take time to return for the outer
garment laid aside while they should be toiling in the heat of the day. They
must not hesitate a moment, lest they be involved in the general destruction.

So the Abomination of Desolation is the idolatrous standard of Rome and Ellen
White parallels that with the Sunday Law. In the type, the true remnant fled
to the mountains of Pella. In the antitype, we are to flee to smaller towns,
preparatory to fleeing to the mountains. Why smaller towns first? Because the
Sunday law will not be enforced at first. Those who follow Doug Bachelor’s
chart will flee to the mountains immediately at the legislation of the Sunday
law. They will thus bring on themselves very taxing circumstances beforetime. The
Parallel of the Sunday Law With the Abomination of Desolation of Matthew 24 “By the decree enforcing
the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will
disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch
her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall
reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the
influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every
principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and
shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions,
then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan
and that the end is near. {5T 451.1} As the approach of the
Roman armies was a sign to the disciples of the impending destruction of
Jerusalem, so may this apostasy be a sign to us that the limit of God's
forbearance is reached, that the measure of our nation's iniquity is full,
and that the angel of mercy is about to take her flight, never to return. The
people of God will then be plunged into those scenes of affliction and
distress which prophets have described as the time of Jacob's trouble. The
cries of the faithful, persecuted ones ascend to heaven. And as the blood of
Abel cried from the ground, there are voices also crying to God from martyrs'
graves, from the sepulchers of the sea, from mountain caverns, from convent
vaults: "How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost Thou not judge and avenge
our blood on them that dwell on the earth?" {5T 451.2} The Lord is doing His
work. All heaven is astir. The Judge of all the earth is soon to arise and
vindicate His insulted authority. The mark of deliverance will be set upon
the men who keep God's commandments, who revere His
452 law, and who refuse the mark
of the beast or of his image. {5T 451.3} “It is no
time now for God's people to be fixing their affections or laying up their
treasure in the world. The time is not far distant, when, like the early
disciples, we shall be forced to seek a refuge in desolate and solitary
places. As the siege of Jerusalem by the Roman armies was the signal for
flight to the Judean Christians, so the assumption of power on the part of
our nation in the decree enforcing the papal sabbath will be a warning to us.
It will then be time to leave the large cities, preparatory to leaving the
smaller ones for retired homes in secluded places among the mountains.
And now, instead of seeking expensive dwellings here, we should be preparing
to move to a better country, even a heavenly. Instead of spending our means
in self-gratification, we should be studying to economize.” Testimonies, Vol. 5, p.
464-5. Note: The Shepherd’s Rod
says they will be taken somewhere in Israel. Ellen White says the Sunday Law
will be time to leave the large cities, preparatory to leaving the smaller
ones for retired homes in secluded places among the mountains. This is a
direct contradiction of the Spirit of Prophecy by the Shepherd’s Rod. What to do and When to do it 11
And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away,
and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a
thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12
Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred
and five and thirty days. Daniel 12:11, 12. From
the time that the daily shall be taken away daily (continuum of the law of
God violated—the Sunday Law first legislated) and the abomination that maketh
desolate shall be set up (the actual
enforcement of the Sunday law, and the 1260 day rule of the beast power
commences signalling the wound is fully healed Rev. 13:1-5), there will
be 1290 days. Order
of Events: (Note: Ellen White clearly stated that there will be no more
prophetic (day for a year) time after 1844. That does not mean literal time,
for the Bible clearly says in Revelation 13:1-5, that there is a 42 month
period AFTER the wound is healed. That wound is not healed until Rome regains
her power to persecute God’s saints, and even if one reckons that the wound
was healed in 1929 Lateran Treaty, as some errantly do, that would still not
account for any beast power ruling for 42 months (3 ½ years) since 1929).
Vance Ferrell says that all time prophesy is prophetic time (day for a year).
That is not true. Some of the Bible prophecies are literal time. 1.
Sunday Law Legislated. Leave cities for
smaller towns. 2.
1260 days after Sunday Law is legislated
there will be a 30 day warning to take the mark. All who refuse will not be
able to buy or sell. Property should be dispensed of well before
this 30 day warning period and the money put into witnessing materials. Some
will scoff at these times given us by God, but I ask you friend: How would
you know what to do and when to do it without these time prophesies? How
would you know when to sell your property so the money can be invested in the
work of warning the world?. 3.
At the end of the 30 day warning, many
martyrs will be killed for a 45 day period extending to day 1335. These
martyrs will be seed for fruit. 4.
On day 1290 the beast power commences a 42
month (1260 day) rule, Revelation 13. This time commences with the full
healing of the wound which is not until the wishes of the beast power are
ENFORCED on day 1290. 5.
There are 1290 days from the time the daily
is taken away until the beast power (abomination of desolation) is set up,
Daniel 12:11, 12. 6.
There are 1260 days AFTER the beast power
assumes rule, Rev. 13, which coincides with the FULL HEALING OF THE WOUND. 7.
In the type, there was a 3 ½ year time
period from the first ascension of Roman troops on Jewish soil in A.D. 66, to
wit: “In the autumn of A.D. 66,
Cestius next concentrated his entire force upon Jerusalem. He arrived during the celebration of the
Feast of Tabernacles, and although it was Sabbath, the Jews abandoned their religious
rites and rushed out to attack Cestius’ troops. To the amazement of both Romans and Jews,
they broke the Roman ranks. Indeed,
Josephus declares that only a flank attack by a force of footmen and cavalry
saved Cestius’ forces. More than 500
Roman soldiers were killed whereas the Jews lost only 22 men (War ii. 198, 2 [519]). At this point
Agrippa sent an embassy to the Jews; their reaction was to attack his
representatives, killing one and wounding the other. Encouraged by a promise of the royalist
party in Jerusalem to open the gates for him, Cestius then gathered his
troops to a fresh assault, and penetrated as far as the north wall of the
Temple. Then an astounding thing
happened: Cestius withdrew his troops, and placed himself strategically in
such a poor position among the Judean hills that the Jews were able to attack
him and kill more than 5,000 infantry and nearly 500 cavalry, including many
officers, as well as to capture much materiel. A Lull in the Storm.—The defeat and
withdrawal of Cestius gave many of the conservative Jews a chance to flee
from Jerusalem. Some of them joined
Agrippa, others sought quiet in country places, and still others left the
country entirely. It was at this time
that the Christians in Jerusalem fled in accordance with the warning of Jesus
recorded in Matt. 24:15-19. According
to Eusebius, the 4th-century historian, the Christians in
Jerusalem had been warned by prophets before the war began that they should
leave the doomed city and find refuge at Pella in Peraea. They now took this opportunity to make good
their escape (Ecclesiastical
History iii. 5, 3).” SDA Bible

In the antitypical fulfillment, there is a 3
½ year period from the legislation of the Sunday law until it is enforced by
penalty of no buy and sell and death. 9.
There are thus two 3 ½ year periods—the 1290
of Daniel 12:11, 12, BEFORE the abomination of desolation is seated, and the
1260 days (42 months) of Revelation 13:1-5, which clearly occurs AFTER the
full healing of the wound and the wound is not fully healed until Rome
regains her former power to persecute and kill the servants of God. 10.
If you believe that the abomination of
desolation is already seated, and that the 1290 days have already been
completed, you should be in the
mountains per Matthew 24:15, 16. That is the logical conclusion to the
illogic of some like Vance Ferrell and Michaels on the time issue. Why would
God give the days of Daniel 12:11, 12 as a (day for a year) warning
historically, and not (literally or at all) at the end-time application of
Matthew 24:15, 16 which affects the entire world of Christians and not just
the Jews? Better pray about that, friend! 11.
Spiritual Jerusalem, modern Israel, Ezekiel
9, is destroyed at the end of the first 3 ½ year period, per the literal
sequence of Matthew 22:1-10, which Ellen White reapplies to the end time in Sermons and Talks, pp. 4-9. In those
scriptures, the murderous city is destroyed BEFORE going into the highways
and byways of the world, because that city (SDA church), those who were
bidden (called and chosen) are found not worthy because of their apostasy,
Matthew 22:8. 12.
The same 3 ½ year warning to the world will
transpire as was given ancient and modern Israel, after which it will be
destroyed as Jerusalem and modern Israel is destroyed after its 3 ½ year
warning of the abomination of desolation. The Transgression of Desolation Versus the
Abomination of Desolation The
Transgression of Desolation in Daniel 8:13, is different from the abomination
of desolation in Daniel 12:11, 12. The Transgression of Desolation In
the type involving the Jews, the host, God’s faithful, was trodden under foot
by the Abomination of Desolation for 1260 days or 3 ½ years, NOT 2300 days.
The Lord has shown me that this is why the Transgression of Desolation which
trods the host (God’s people) under foot for 2300 days is different from the
Abomination of Desolation. The
total timeframe of the two 3 ½ year periods is 1260 X’s 2 which equals 2,520
days. The host will be trodden underfoot by the transgression of desolation
for 2300 of those 2,520 days. She will be trodden under foot by the
transgression of her SDA leaders in instructing the members to keep Sunday
sacred. Subtracting 2300 from 2,520, we arrive at 220 days. That means that
220 days after the Sunday Law is initially legislated, the SDA church leaders
will instruct its people to keep Sunday sacred, thus committing the
transgression of desolation that trods the host
under foot for 2300 days. Do we have other evidence that the leaders will do
that? "The Lord has a controversy with his
professed people in these last days. In this
controversy men in responsible positions will take a course directly opposite
to that pursued by Nehemiah. They will not only ignore and despise the
Sabbath themselves, but they will try to keep it from others by burying it
beneath the rubbish of custom and tradition. In churches and in large
gatherings in the open air, ministers, will urge upon the people the
necessity of keeping the first day of the week." E.G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 1, p. 405, col. 3. “The enemy knows that if the church can be
controlled by political enactments, if she can be led to unite with the world,
she virtually acknowledges him as her head. Then the authority of man-made
commandments will work to oppose the rule of the government of heaven. Under the leadership of Satan men will dispense with the
righteous, holy enactments of God concerning the Sabbath, the observance of
which is to be a sign between God and His people forever. {ST, November 22, 1899 par. 1} Observation by Danny Vierra: One
may ask, "Will Seventh-day Adventists really accept spiritualism and the
false Mary?" To this I ask, "Will the majority of Seventh-day
Adventists worship on Sunday when it is enforced by law?" Here are some
very sobering comments from inspiration bearing on this matter: “And
because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold'... Soon God's
people will be tested by fiery trials, and the great proportion of
those who now appear as genuine and true will prove to be base metal .... They
will cowardly take the side of the opposers. The promise is: 'They that
honor Me I will honor'...To stand in defense of truth and righteousness when
the majority forsake us, to fight the battles of the Lord when champions are
few—this will be our test." Testimonies, vol. 5, 136. "I was
shown the startling fact that but a small portion who now profess the
truth will be sanctified by it and be saved." Testimonies, vol.

In
the 1980’s, it came out in Alf Lohne’s book on Russia that the SDA leaders
told Russian SDA’s to obey Caesar’s law and send their children to school on
Sabbath. All true reformer SDA’s went underground and did not disobey God’s
law. So that was an early indication that SDA leaders are very capable of
instructing God’s people to violate His law! But
it gets far worse! In 1955-7, SDA leaders met with Evangelical’s Martin and,
Barnhouse and other Evangelicals and sold out pillar doctrines to keep from
being called a cult. That sell-out involved doing away with the Sanctuary and
the Atonement. Ellen White said that occurred as part of the Alpha and Omega
apostasy as well: Sanctuary Gone Atonement Gone -- "In a representation which
passed before me, I saw a certain work being done by medical missionary
workers. Our ministering brethren were looking on, watching what was being
done, but they did not seem to understand. The foundation of our faith, which
was established by so much prayer, such earnest searching of the Scriptures,
was being taken down, pillar by pillar. Our faith was to have nothing to rest
upon--the sanctuary was gone, the atonement was gone." E.G. White, The Upward Look, 152. So
it should come as no surprise to the adept that SDA leaders will cave in
again and instruct their sheep-followers to keep Sunday sacred in order to
keep the church going when the crunch comes! Why would they do such a thing?
Because they are unbelieving greedy-dogs who look to their own quarter for
gain, money, the love of mammon: Begin at My Sanctuary -- "Here we see that
the church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the
wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and
who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had
betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for
miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times
have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither
will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus
'Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again lift up
their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions and the
house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones
who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little
children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies,

watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all
dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. 11 Yea,
they are greedy
dogs which can never have enough, and
they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all
look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. 12 Come
ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong
drink; [CELEBRATE]
and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant. Isaiah
56:10-12 That is why they commit the Transgression of
Desolation. That is why Ezekiel 9 is literally fulfilled to the letter
concerning modern-day Israel, the professing Seventh-day Adventist church.
Only a faithful remnant will escape as was the case in the prefigure type of
A.D. 27-70. 13
Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint
which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice,
and the transgression of
desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under
foot? 14
And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the
sanctuary be cleansed. Daniel 8:13, 14. I
fully accept the historic and secondary fulfillment of Daniel 8. However,
there is more than one fulfillment to some prophecies of the Bible and Daniel
8 is one of them. Daniel 8:19 clearly states that what is depicted in that
chapter occurs AT THE LAST END OF THE INDIGNATION, and 1844, was not the
indignation. 19 And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what
shall be in the last end of
the indignation: for at the time
appointed the end shall be. The indignation is defined in
Revelation 14:8-10: 8 And there followed another angel, saying,
Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations
drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. 9 And
the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship
