Is There Specific Instruction in the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy That There Will be Another Separation?

Dear Reader,

By way of a challenge to my detractors, I know of a wealthy person who is willing to give a large sum of money to anyone who can successfully disprove the assertions of this document.  Please submit your rebuttals and I will forward them to my acquaintance.  So far, he admits that any rebuttal he has read of late is not sufficient to disprove my message.  I will give you his answer(s) and tell you why he accepts or rejects your rebuttal, and then you will be put in contact with the man.

The person I speak of has a wife who loves the church more than God, and he would be all too happy to reward you for relieving his guilt for not wanting to accept my message for fear of losing his wife and children.  I think he would accept it were it not for his wife who has threatened to leave him if he embraces my message.  She has not studied it.  She is just blindly convinced by church leaders that they are right.

If you are successful, he is an honest man and he will reward you greatly and will also give a large sum to the professing Seventh-day Adventist Church.  He desires to remain anonymous at this time, but he will make himself known to you if you successfully debunk the following message as depicted in my answers to Walt.  He will give me his response to your rebuttals and I will notify you of his conclusions.  What he is looking for is something—ANYTHING, that will disprove the ENTIRE WARNING MESSAGE.  But don’t get your hopes up too high, because SDA leaders have tried and concluded that it is “too hot to handle!”

I am sure SDA leaders would be all too happy to kick-in a goodly reward because my message has taken money away from the coffers of the apostate New Movement SDA church.

If you personally, or if you know of any detractors of my warning message that you consider able and ready individuals, please give them this challenge and/or take it yourself.

Good luck, and I do not believe in luck.  That is why I say good luck, because neither do I believe that there is any such evidence that will disprove my warning message.

I received the following questions from Walt.  The Holy Spirit led me to the fact that my answers would be most instructive and of benefit to many who need an outline form answering the questions in the heading above.  So I will publish to you my answers to Walt on the Internet.  First, Walt’s questions to me and then my response.

Hi Ron

I might have a question or two to ask, for clarification sake.  That is: not for aggression or argument, but to get a “handle” on what you are saying and to just know and declare the whole truth – to leave something behind for all to consider.

_______________

That the wheat cannot "fully" mature among open sinners -- is true, but does such mean that they cannot grow, even though the growth be "retarded" (slow)?

And if the above be true, is there not then specified a separation that must at some time, take place?  Does EGW say anything on the matter?  Is this what she speaks of with the mention of the church being purified?

Thus being determined (that a separation is needed), is it to take place by the wheat being moved (transplanted), or are the tares plucked out?

What does the "Scriptural" record foretell?

Let me know what you think on these specific question, and perhaps I’ll be able to share a thing or two.

Take Care

Walt

Ron’s response:

In response to your question Walt:  “That the wheat cannot "fully" mature among open sinners -- is true, but does such mean that they cannot grow, even though the growth be "retarded" (slow)?”

The Bible says that the thorns choke the Word and make it unfruitful.  The thorns achieve that by teaching another false gospel.  Were it possible to dwell with such thorns, we would never had to come out of Rome and the fallen Protestant churches.  Thorns are very different than tares.  Thorns are open sinners.  Ellen White defined tares as insincere believers whose motives we would have to judge in order to weed them out.  Conversely, the thorns are open sinners and Scripture and the SOP plainly state that open sinners and the wheat cannot grow together.

Mat 13:22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

Mar 4:19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

"The thorns of sin will grow in any soil they need no cultivation but grace must be carefully cultivated. The briers and thorns are always ready to spring up, and the work of purification must advance continually....

The thorns that have been cut off but not uprooted grow space, until the soul [and or the church] is overspread with them." E. G. White,  Christ's Object Lessons, 50.

Quiescent, insincere believer tares, are not to be uprooted until the close of probationary time, Christ's Object Lessons, 72. Open sinning thorns are to be uprooted, or the church will be overspread with them and they will choke out and kill the wheat, making it impossible for the wheat to mature. This is why the wheat must be separated from a church that is controlled by open sinning, apostate thorns.

"Christ has plainly taught that those who persist in open sin must be separated from the church..."  Christ's Object Lessons, 71.

Where did Christ plainly teach that those who persist in open sin must be separated from the church?

"It is impossible for you to unite with those who are corrupt, and still remain pure. (II Corinthians 6:14, 15 quoted). God and Christ and the heavenly host would have men know that if he unites with the corrupt he will become corrupt." E.G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 4, p. 137.

Will SDA leaders separate sinners who refuse to be reformed?

Begin at My Sanctuary -- "Here we see that the church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus 'Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211.

Tell me Walt, how are sinners removed from the church when the leaders will NEVER AGAIN show them their sins?  And you who think that the church will be reformed and purged of its sinners to leave it the purified SDA Church triumphant, how will that occur since the people rise no higher than their leaders?  Also, the chapter containing the above Ellen White statement, begins quoting Ezekiel 9.  Why does the slaughter of men, maidens and little children begin at His Sanctuary, those who have been privileged with great light, if that church is purged and purified of its sinners.  That personal opinion theory of professing Seventh-day Adventists is not according to the PREFIGURE we will study later in this document.

That is why Christ separated Himself and His followers from the open sin apostasy of the Jewish organized church:

"Christ was a protestant...The Reformers date back to Christ and the apostles. They came out and separated themselves from a religion of forms and ceremonies. Luther and his followers did not invent the reformed religion. They simply accepted it as presented by Christ and the apostles." E.G. White, Review and Herald, vol. 2, 48, col. 2.

"The tares and the wheat are to grow together until the harvest and the harvest is THE END OF PROBATIONARY TIME." Christ's Object Lessons, p. 72.

Most folk don’t know about the thorns. They know only of the tares.

“This labor of purifying the church is a painful work, but one that must not be neglected, if the church would have the commendation of God." E. G. White, Review and Herald Articles,  06-07-1887, paragraph 16.

"Men in responsible positions are uniting with those in the church and out of the church, whose counsel is misleading." Testimonies, vol. 8, p. 69.

Valid Question—Valid Answer:  So why did not Ellen White leave in light of all her serious statements like those above?  Because, like Israel of old, modern day spiritual Israel was to be given a time of probation.  However, God’s line in the sand was when the SDA church did three major things for which she will be broken in pieces:

·      Formed an Omega of Apostasy New Movement that has fulfilled every specification of Selected Messages, Bk. 1, 204-5, thereby it has “removed God.”

·      Adopted the Trinity doctrine that denies the Sacrifice the Son Made at His Incarnation in giving His life and Soul--prior DIVINE ONLY LIFE--as a gift to us for regeneration into the image of God.  For more on how the Trinity Doctrine denigrates the Holy Spirit, see the following link:  https://omega77.tripod.com/godheadpurpose.htm

·      Formed forbidden alliances and liaisons with the fallen churches of Babylon, for ALONE which she would be broken in pieces, Isaiah 8:9-12.  She thus breaks the commands of those verses and thereby disqualifies herself as being the commandment-keeping people of God, verse 20.  It is no coincidence that Isaiah 8:20 is linked together with verses 9-12.  Those verses are commands of God.

The bride of Christ can never KNOWINGLY be so defiled with any church (woman).  Christ thus marries a pure (bethula) virgin, the meaning of virgin in Isaiah 62:5, while the ten virgins are concubines.

"Any connection with infidels and UNBELIEVERS which would identify us with them is FORBIDDEN by the word. We are to come out from them and be separate. in no case are we to link ourselves with them in their plans or work." E. G. White,  Fundamentals of Christian Education,  482.

"We must AS A PEOPLE arouse and cleanse the camp of Israel. Licentiousness, unlawful intimacy, and unholy practices are coming in among us in a large degree....We are in danger of becoming a sister to fallen Babylon, of allowing our churches to become corrupted and filled with every foul spirit, a cage for every unclean and hateful bird, and will we be clear unless we make decided movements to cure the existing evil? E. G. White, Manuscript Release No. 449, pp. 17, 18.

"The world must not be introduced into the church, and married to the church, forming a bond of unity. Through this means the church will become indeed corrupt, and as stated in Revelation, 'a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.'" Testimonies to Ministers, p. 265.

"The church cannot measure herself by the world nor by the opinion of men nor by what she ONCE was. Her faith and her position in the world as they NOW ARE must be COMPARED (JUDGED) with what they would have been if her course had been continually onward and upward. The church will be weighed in the balances of the sanctuary. If her moral character and spiritual state do not correspond with the benefits and blessings God has conferred upon her, SHE WILL BE FOUND WANTING." Testimonies, vol. 5, pp. 83, 84.

Also tell me and my wealthy friend why, if the church is purged and purified, that every uncouth thing will be coming into its campmeetings JUST BEFGORE PROBATION CLOSES—a little late for reformation then!

"The things you have described as taking place in Indiana, the Lord has shown me would take place just before the close of probation. Every uncouth thing will be demonstrated. There will be shouting, with drums, music, and dancing. The senses of rational beings will become so confused that they cannot be trusted to make right decisions. And this is called the moving of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit never reveals itself in such methods, in such a bedlam of noise. This is an invention of Satan to cover up his ingenious methods for making of none effect the pure, sincere, elevating, ennobling, sanctifying truth for this time. Better never have the worship of God blended with music, than to use musical instruments to do the work which last January was represented to me would be brought into our campmeetings. The truth for this time needs nothing of this kind in its work of converting souls. A bedlam of noise shocks the senses and perverts that which if conducted aright might be a blessing. The powers of satanic agencies blend with the din and noise, to have a carnival, and this is termed the Holy Spirit's working." E. G. White,  Selected Messages, Vol. 2, 36.

The Strongest Evidences for Separation as a Response to Apostasy:

1. The response of Christ is our prime source of truth regarding a correct response to apostasy:

"Christ was a protestant...The Reformers date back to Christ and the apostles. They came out and separated themselves from a religion of forms and ceremonies. Luther and his followers did not invent the reformed religion. They simply accepted it as presented by Christ and the apostles." E.G. White, Review and Herald, vol. 2, 48, col. 2.

2. God’s instruction to Jeremiah is a prime example to follow:

9 And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 10 They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers. 11 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them. 12 Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble. 13 For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal. 14 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble. 15 What hath my beloved to do in mine house, seeing she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest.

3. God’s instruction to Isaiah in the even of ecumenical liaison of God’s people is critical: Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces. 10 Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us. 11 For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, 12 Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. 13 Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.

4. God’s instruction to Ezekiel is most important as to how a separation of a remnant occurred and will occur at the end time:

Ezekiel 5

1 And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber's razor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to weigh, and divide the hair. 2 Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them. 3 Thou shalt also take thereof a few in number, and bind them in thy skirts. 4 Then take of them again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire; for thereof shall a fire come forth into all the house of Israel. 5 Thus saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her. 6 And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that are round about her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them. 7 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the nations that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that are round about you; 8 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations. 9 And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations. 10 Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds.

5. The few in number are those who escape!  Separate!

6.  31 And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward: 32 For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this. Isaiah 37:32, 32.

7. God’s instruction through Isaiah is paramount and to the point:

Isaiah 4

1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach. 2 In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel. 3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: 4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. 5 And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defense. 6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

8. Who was Zion in the PREFIGURE of A.D. 27-70?

9. Which was True Jerusalem--the home churches Jesus and the disciples developed, or the apostate Jewish Temple Sanctuary?

10. Who left who in the PREFIGURE?  The followers of Christ left the apostate church and formed home churches.  Later, 3 ½ years before Jerusalem was destroyed in A.D. 70, all the true Christians fled to the mountains of Pella in the land of Peraea.  Here is the account for your convenience and for those around the world who do not own or have access to the SDA Bible Commentary:

“In the autumn of A.D. 66, Cestius next concentrated his entire force upon Jerusalem.  He arrived during the celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles, and although it was Sabbath, the Jews abandoned their religious rites and rushed out to attack Cestius’ troops.  To the amazement of both Romans and Jews, they broke the Roman ranks.  Indeed, Josephus declares that only a flank attack by a force of footmen and cavalry saved Cestius’ forces.  More than 500 Roman soldiers were killed, whereas the Jews lost only 22 men (War ii. 198, 2 [519]).  At this point Agrippa sent an embassy to the Jews; their reaction was to attack his representatives, killing one and wounding the other.  Encouraged by a promise of the royalist party in Jerusalem to open the gates for him, Cestius then gathered his troops to a fresh assault, and penetrated as far as the north wall of the Temple.  Then an astounding thing happened: Cestius withdrew his troops, and placed himself strategically in such a poor position among the Judean hills that the Jews were able to attack him and kill more than 5,000 infantry and nearly 500 cavalry, including many officers, as well as to capture much materiel.

A Lull in the Storm.—The defeat and withdrawal of Cestius gave many of the conservative Jews a chance to flee from Jerusalem.  Some of them joined Agrippa, others sought quiet in country places, and still others left the country entirely.  It was at this time that the Christians in Jerusalem fled in accordance with the warning of Jesus recorded in Matt. 24:15-19.  According to Eusebius, the 4th-century historian, the Christians in Jerusalem had been warned by prophets before the war began that they should leave the doomed city and find refuge at Pella in Peraea.  They now took this opportunity to make good their escape (Ecclesiastical History iii. 5, 3).” SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 5, 74, 75.

Important facts:  Ellen White parallels the presence of Cestius’ army on Jewish soil as being the time to leave the cities for smaller dwellings preparatory to having to leave for the mountains at the time of the National Sunday Law.  Many mistake this as the time to leave the apostate church.  That is not how it worked in the PREFIGURE.

The time of the National Sunday Law will be the last chance for any tares to leave the church as the following statement states.  But that is no excuse for those who know of the apostasy NOW.

“The days are fast approaching when there will be great perplexity and confusion. Satan, clothed in angel robes, will deceive, if possible, the very elect. There will be gods many and lords many. Every wind of doctrine will be blowing. Those who have rendered supreme homage to "science falsely so called" will not be the leaders then. Those who have trusted to intellect, genius, or talent will not then stand at the head of rank and file. They did not keep pace with the light. Those who have proved themselves unfaithful will not then be entrusted with the flock. In the last solemn work few great men will be engaged. They are self-sufficient, independent of God, and He cannot use them. The Lord has faithful servants, who in the shaking, testing time will be disclosed

                                                                            81

to view. There are precious ones now hidden who have not bowed the knee to Baal. They have not had the light which has been shining in a concentrated blaze upon you. But it may be under a rough and uninviting exterior the pure brightness of a genuine Christian character will be revealed. In the day time we look toward heaven but do not see the stars. They are there, fixed in the firmament, but the eye cannot distinguish them. In the night we behold their genuine luster. {5T 80.1}

     The time is not far distant when the test will come to every soul. The mark of the beast will be urged upon us. Those who have step by step yielded to worldly demands and conformed to worldly customs will not find it a hard matter to yield to the powers that be, rather than subject themselves to derision, insult, threatened imprisonment, and death. The contest is between the commandments of God and the commandments of men. In this time the gold will be separated from the dross in the church. True godliness will be clearly distinguished from the appearance and tinsel of it. Many a star that we have admired for its brilliancy will then go out in darkness. Chaff like a cloud will be borne away on the wind, even from places where we see only floors of rich wheat. All who assume the ornaments of the sanctuary, but are not clothed with Christ's righteousness, will appear in the shame of their own nakedness. {5T 81.1}

     When trees without fruit are cut down as cumberers of the ground, when multitudes of false brethren are distinguished from the true, then the hidden ones will be revealed to view, and with hosannas range under the banner of Christ. Those who have been timid and self-distrustful will declare themselves openly for Christ and His truth. The most weak and hesitating in the church will be as David--willing to do and dare. The deeper the night for God's people, the more brilliant the stars. Satan will sorely harass the faithful; but, in the name of Jesus, they will come off more than conquerors. Then will the church of Christ appear "fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners." {5T 81.2}

Let’s review some very important aspects of the above statement:

·      There are precious ones now hidden who have not bowed the knee to Baal. They have not had the light which has been shining in a concentrated blaze upon you [SDA’s].

·      Those who have step by step yielded to worldly demands and conformed to worldly customs will not find it a hard matter to yield to the powers that be, rather than subject themselves to derision, insult, threatened imprisonment, and death.

·      In this time the gold will be separated from the dross in the church.

·      When trees without fruit are cut down as cumberers of the ground, when multitudes of false brethren are distinguished from the true, then the hidden ones will be revealed to view, and with hosannas range under the banner of Christ.

·      In the first paragraph the precious ones now hidden who have not bowed the knee to Baal. And have not had the light which has been shining in a concentrated blaze upon you [SDA’s], are obviously the faithful in Babylon’s fallen churches who will heed the final call to come out.

·      In the last paragraph of 5T 80, those same HIDDEN ones will be revealed to view at the time of the National Sunday Law.  My important point being that the Sunday Law is the final time when ALL God’s faithful in all the fallen churches, including the SDA fallen church, will have opportunity to leave.  That is the time the final loud cry awakens the ten-sleeping virgins in all churches.

·      The bride, Christ’s beloved is awakened before the final Loud Cry, because she must be prepared to give that Loud Cry.  Who awakens the bride, the true reformers?

·      "Characteristics of True Reformers.--Here are given the characteristics of those who shall be reformers, who will bear the banner of the third angel's message, those who avow themselves God's commandment-keeping people, and who honor God, and are earnestly engaged, in the sight of all the universe, in building up the old waste places. Who is it that calls [awakens] them, The repairers of the breach, The restorers of paths to dwell in? It is God. Their names are registered [written--Heb. 12:22, 23] in heaven as reformers, restorers, as raising the foundations of many generations." E. G. White, SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 4, 1151.

·      Who do they awaken?

“Lingering near the bride's house are ten young women robed in white. Each carries a lighted lamp and a small flagon for oil. All are anxiously watching for the appearance of the bridegroom. But there is a delay [since 1844]. Hour after hour passes; the watchers become weary and fall asleep. At midnight the [Loud] cry is heard, "Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him." The sleepers, suddenly awaking, spring to their feet. They see the procession moving on, bright with torches and glad with music. They hear the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.”  E.G. White, Christ’s Object Lessons, p. 405-6.

·      How many virgins slept?

  • Mat 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
  • The bride is obviously awake first in order to make the call to the 10 virgins.
  • Is there a church that is always awake—“The members of the church triumphant--the church in heaven--will be permitted to draw near to the members of the church militant, to aid them in their necessity." E. G. White, The Southern Watchman, Sep. 8, 1903.
  • Does Scripture say that the Bride of Christ is always awake?

Isa 62:1 For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp [that] burneth.

Isa 62:2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

Isa 62:3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

Isa 62:4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land [New Jerusalem] shall be married.

Isa 62:5 For [as] a young man marrieth a virgin, [so] shall thy sons marry thee: and [as] the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, [so] shall thy God rejoice over thee.

Isa 62:6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, [which] shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,

·      What is the New Name the bride Zion gets? Rev 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, [which is] new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and [I will write upon him] my new name.

·      Are you responsible for what you know?  Will you be judged according to what you know?  It is nice to be curious, friend, but that makes you responsible for what you have learned.  Can you know the awakening message to the bride and then disregard it to become one of her ten-virgin daughters?

·      Does Ellen White further delineate between the bride and her daughter or “guests” at the wedding?

·      “The Holy City, the New Jerusalem, which is the capital and representative of the kingdom, is called "the bride, the Lamb's wife." Said the angel to John: "Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the Lamb's wife." "He carried me away in the spirit," says the prophet, "and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God." Revelation 21:9, 10. Clearly, then, the bride represents the Holy City [is the earthly representative of the heavenly church of Heb. 12-22, 23], and the virgins that go out to meet the bridegroom are a symbol of the church. In the Revelation the people of God are said to be the guests at the marriage supper. Revelation 19:9. If guests, they cannot be represented also as the bride. Christ, as stated by the prophet Daniel, will receive from the Ancient of Days in heaven, "dominion, and glory, and a kingdom;" He will receive the New Jerusalem, the capital of His kingdom, "prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." Daniel 7:14; Revelation 21:2. Having received the kingdom, He will come in His glory, as King of kings and Lord of lords, for the redemption of His people, who are to "sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob," at His table in His kingdom (Matthew 8:11; Luke 22:30), to partake of the marriage supper of the Lamb.” The Great Controversy, pp. 426-7.

·      "The people of God, symbolized by a holy woman and her children, were represented as greatly in the minority. In the last days only a remnant still existed. Of these John speaks as they 'which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." E. G. White, Signs of the Times,  Nov. 1, 1899, and Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary,  vol. 7, p. 972.

·      Does the Bible say that the bride has sons and daughters and that she will say something to her daughter?

Isaiah 62

1 For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. 2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name. 3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. 4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. 5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee. 6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, 7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth. 8 The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured: 9 But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness. 10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people. 11 Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. 12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

·      Verse 11 (above) is actually another version of the Loud Cry message to the 10 virgins.

·      Is the bride more developed character wise than her children?

·      Rev 14:4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, [being] the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

·      The bride is not defiled with women (fallen church harlots).  She will never KNOWINGLY be so defiled.

·      The 144,000 are translated without seeing death.

·      Only the 144,000 go into the Temple on Mt. Zion.

·      Is there Biblical evidence for the above 2 points?

·      Rev 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep [protect] thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. 12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. 13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

·      A pillar in the Temple is a leader. Christ is the High Priest, and the bride is the lesser priests such as the earthly sanctuary had.

 “By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near.” {5T 451.1}

“As the approach of the Roman armies was a sign to the disciples of the impending destruction of Jerusalem, so may this apostasy be a sign to us that the limit of God's forbearance is reached, that the measure of our nation's iniquity is full, and that the angel of mercy is about to take her flight, never to return. The people of God will then be plunged into those scenes of affliction and distress which prophets have described as the time of Jacob's trouble. The cries of the faithful, persecuted ones ascend to heaven. And as the blood of Abel cried from the ground, there are voices also crying to God from martyrs' graves, from the sepulchers of the sea, from mountain caverns, from convent vaults: "How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost Thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?" {5T 451.2}

It is no time now for God's people to be fixing their affections or laying up their treasure in the world. The time is not far distant, when, like the early disciples, we shall be forced to seek a refuge in desolate and solitary places. As the siege of Jerusalem by the Roman armies was the signal for flight to the Judean Christians, so the assumption of power on the part of our nation in the decree enforcing the papal Sabbath will be a warning to us. It will then be time to leave the large cities, preparatory to leaving the smaller ones for retired homes in secluded places among the mountains. And now, instead of seeking expensive dwellings here, we should be preparing to move to a better country, even a heavenly. Instead of spending our means in self-gratification, we should be studying to economize.  E.G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, pp. 464-5.

The following quote is gravely misunderstood and misinterpreted to mean that it is at the time of the National Sunday Law that we are to flee the church.  Is that what happened in the PREFIGURE?  No.  Here is what happened:

·      Faithful Jews, the disciples being the first, were “gathered out from the apostate church as the first act of Christ’s ministry in A.D. 27.

  • They formed home churches.  Here is the Bible evidence:

Scripture on Home Churches

Act 16:32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

Act 16:34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

Act 16:40 And they went out of the prison, and entered into [the house of] Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.

Act 18:7 And he departed thence, and entered into a certain [man's] house, named Justus, [one] that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.

Rom 16:5 Likewise [greet] the church that is in their house. Salute my well beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.

1Cr 1:11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them [which are of the house] of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

1Cr 16:15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and [that] they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)

1Cr 16:19 The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.

Ellen White on Home Churches

When the young men and women were kept away from the Alpha of apostasy in the church, what did they do where did they meet for worship?

·      Christ’s followers were gathered out of the apostate Jewish church beginning in A.D. 27 and lasting until the autumn of A.D. 66, when they fled to the mountains of Pella.

·      The Sunday Law is the time to leave the cities. This should never be confused with the time to leave an apostate church.  Many Adventists are confused on this point and some of them quite willfully so.

Home Churches

"There is a little hope in one direction: Take the young men and women, and place them where they will come as little in contact with our churches as possible, that the low grade of piety which is current in this day shall not leaven their ideas of what it means to be a Christian." E.G. White, Manuscript Release #995, p. 5.

When the young men and women were kept away from the Alpha of apostasy in the church, what did they do where did they meet for worship?

"Brother and sister Haskell have rented a house in one of the best parts of the city, and have gathered round them a family of helpers, who day by day go out giving Bible readings, selling our papers, and doing medical missionary work. During the hour of worship, the workers relate their experiences. Bible studies are regularly conducted in the home, and THE YOUNG MEN AND YOUNG WOMEN connected with the mission receive a practical, thorough training in holding Bible readings and in selling our publications. The Lord has blessed their labors, a number have embraced the truth, and many others are deeply interested." Review and Herald, September 7, 1905, Evangelism, p. 108.

The above scenario is the prescribed mode for the worship service of every Seventh-day Adventist church, as admonished in Testimonies, vol. 7. Notice:

"There are times when it is fitting for our ministers to give on the Sabbath, in our churches, short discourses, full of the life and love of Christ. But the church members are not to expect a sermon every Sabbath....Let the church members, during the week, act their part faithfully, and on the Sabbath relate their experience. The meeting will then be as meat in due season, bringing to all present new life and fresh vigor.. When God's people see the great need of working as Christ worked for the conversion of sinners, the testimonies borne by them in the Sabbath service will be filled with power. With joy they will tell of the precious experience they have gained in working for others." Testimonies, vol. 7, p. 19.

11. Did Christ and all True Christians separate and flee the apostate church Temple Sanctuary?

12. Is the PREFIGURE repeated?

13. Will it be repeated exactly (literally--according to the PREFIGURE)?

14. "The future was mercifully veiled from the disciples. Had they at that time fully comprehend the two awful facts--the Redeemer's sufferings and death, and the destruction of their city and temple--they would have been overwhelmed with horror. Christ presented before them an outline of the prominent events to take place before the close of time. His words were not then fully understood; but their meaning was to be unfolded as His people should need the instruction therein given. The prophecy which He uttered was twofold in its meaning; while foreshadowing the destruction of Jerusalem, it prefigured also the terrors of the last great day."  E.G. White, Chapter 1, The Great Controversy, The Destruction of Jerusalem.

15. If Jerusalem was destroyed, what is the correct meaning of "Jerusalem" in Isaiah 4:1-4?

16. Was the destruction of Jerusalem a fulfillment of Ezekiel, chapters 1-9, even though there has been past fulfillments of these chapters?

17. Were there two churches represented in Jerusalem--the Headquarters of Christ and His disciples and the Temple Sanctuary of the apostate Jews?

18. Is Ezekiel 9 LITERALLY fulfilled again?

"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling will YOU hear? Will YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley, September 26, 1909.)" E. G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260.

19. Does Ezekiel chapters 1-9 give the reason why Ezekiel 9 occurred and will occur again?

20. What are the abominations of Ezekiel 9, that we are to sigh and cry for?

21. Will one be sealed if he/she does not bother to educate him/herself concerning these abominations?

22. Can one be a faithful watchman and not show God's people these sins?

23. According to Ellen White in Desire of Ages, p. 232, true reformers have had to separate from the church of their fathers in every succeeding generation since Christ.

Husbands, you are to be the priest of the family.  Some wives may not agree with the true message of separation because of friendships and fellowship acquaintances, but you should not be molded by women who would so lead their families astray.  And the final church will be lead by women and children—women and children who would rather celebrate than heed the word of God.  And make no mistake about it, there are men who are like weak women and would sacrifice the truth to appease their women.

You women who would fault me, will only fault God because He is the one who said it:

Isa 3:12 [As for] my people, children [are] their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause [thee] to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

Mat 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife [spouse], or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

The implication is that those who so do will not inherit everlasting life, and the prime reason is that like the rich young ruler, they love something more than Christ and His cause in heaven and earth.

Mat 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

Friends, it is too late to play church.  If you choose your spouse, children, friend, fellowship, the church, or ANYTHING over God and His truth, just don’t do any of it!  Don’t pay tithe!  Don’t do any of it, because you are not going to make it.  Some play church and will brag about all the books they distribute to warn the world.  But what will the Lord say to such ones?  Depart from me for I know you not.  For they fall in the same class of all who claim to do great things for the Lord, while loving something more than  the way, the truth and the life, Jesus Christ.

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

What good reason, other than separating from sin so the wheat can mature, is there for separating?

"I saw the nominal church and nominal Adventists, like Judas, would betray us to the Catholics to obtain their influence to come against the truth. The saints then will be an obscure [hidden] people, little known to the Catholics but the churches and nominal Adventists who know of our faith and customs (for they hate us on account of the Sabbath, for they could not refute it) will betray the saints and report them to the Catholics as those who disregard the institutions of the people that is, that they keep the Sabbath and disregard Sunday.

Then the Catholics bid the Protestants to go forward, and issue a decree that all who will not observe the first day of the week, instead of the seventh day, shall be slain. And the Catholics, whose numbers are large, will stand by the Protestants. The Catholics will give their power to the image of the beast. And the Protestants will work as their mother worked before them to destroy the saints. But before their decree bring or bear fruit, the saints will be delivered by the Voice of God. Then I saw that Jesus' work in the sanctuary will soon be finished. And after His work there is finished, He will come to the door of the first apartment, and confess the sins of Israel upon the head of the Scape Goat. Then He will put on the garments of vengeance. Then the plagues will come upon the wicked, and they do not come till Jesus puts on that garment, and takes His place upon the great white cloud. Then while the plagues are falling, the Scape Goat is being led away. He makes a mighty struggle to escape, but he is held fast by the hand that leads him. If he should effect his escape, Israel would lose their lives. I saw that it would take time to lead away the Scape Goat into the land of forgetfulness after the sins were put on his head.

The great white cloud I saw was not the holy place, but entirely separate from the holy and most holy place, entirely separate from the sanctuary.

Then the angel repeated these words, and said, 'This is the time spoken of in Isaiah. He saw that there was not man, and wondered that there was no intercessor. He had no mediator between God and man, and these plagues could be withheld no longer, for Jesus had ceased to plead for Israel, and they were covered with the covering of the Almighty God, and they could live in the sight of a holy God, and those who were not covered, the plagues fell upon them, for they had nothing to shelter or protect them from the wrath of God." E.G. White, Dorchester, Maine, October 23, 1850, Spalding--Magan's Unpublished Mss. Testimonies, pp. 1, 2.

Walt, you asked: “That the wheat cannot "fully" mature among open sinners -- is true, but does such mean that they cannot grow, even though the growth be "retarded" (slow)?

And if the above be true, is there not then specified a separation that must at some time, take place?  Does EGW say anything on the matter?  Is this what she speaks of with the mention of the church being purified?”

Ron responds:  I will here deal with the second part of your question as treated by Scripture specifically.  Then I will deal more with specific separation statements mentioned by Ellen G. White. The following texts demand separation when and if they are violated by any church:

a.       Ezekiel, chapters 1-9, fulfilled in A.D. 70, demand another coming out of a remnant, for in each past historic of those chapters either a remnant was preserved or returned to Jerusalem, eg. the tribes of Judah, Benjamin and Levi returned to rebuild the Temple.  Expressly, Ezekiel 5:3 mentions a remnant being saved out of a destroyed church. Ezekiel 9 says that the church will be destroyed.  Naturally, some will be saved out of that church.

b.      Jeremiah 11:9-15, demands a separation in the event of any conspiracy with God’s enemies.  Verse 15 commands that God’s beloved bride has no place in His ONCE church (house).

c.       Isaiah 8:9-12 demands non-participation with any Association, counsel, girding and confederacy with God’s enemies.  Babylon is one of those enemies that He expressly called Adventists out from by separation via the first and second angel’s messages.  The SDA church has defied that command with ecumenical liaisons.

d.      Revelation 14:1-4 demands that the bride of Christ not be defiled with women (fallen churches).  The SDA church has defied that demand with ecumenical liaisons.

e.       Isaiah 37:31, 32 demands another coming out.

f.        God’s line in the sand is Confederacy with those who have turned back to the errors of their fathers. Jeremiah 11:9, with verse 14 commanding Jeremiah (and us) to not even pray for such violators.

g.      A call to come out and be separate from sinners is a call to separate from any church that harbors open sinners to wit:

h.      1Pe 2:9 But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

i.        Hbr 7:26 For such an high priest became us, [who is] holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;  Though Christ ministered to sinners, He did not join in worship and/or communion supper with them.

j.         Tts 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

k.      2Cr 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you,

l.        God separated Lot and His Wife from Sodom.

m.    God separated Abraham from his sinful relatives.

n.      God separated His people from Egypt that they might be free to keep His commandments and avoid the evil influence of pagans.

o.      For further evidence see this document: https://omega77.tripod.com/Separate

Here is evidence from the Spirit of Prophecy for separation:

    A. Another coming out—

Another Coming Out: "As reformers they had come out of the denominational churches, but they now act a part similar to that which the churches acted. We hoped that there would not be the necessity for another coming out." Ellen G. White, The Ellen G. White 1888 Materials, Vol. 1, p. 356-7.

If Ellen White thought that the church NOW ACTED (circa 1888—see date of statement) similar to the part the churches SDA  reformers came out of, what would she think today?  She and the faithful hoped there would not be another coming out, but again, what would she say today regarding a church that is so much like the world that little difference is seen, BUT, the church is in liaison with Babylon’s Associations (Ministerial Associations), counsels, girdings and confederacies.

B.     Ellen White’s statement that the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70 was a prefigure, p. 25, The Great Controversy.

C.     Ellen White’s statement that Ezekiel 9 would be literally fulfilled again.

D.    Ellen White’s example in the Alpha of Apostasy

E.     Ellen White’s statement that the Omega of Apostasy would develop and wax stronger until Jesus comes.

F.      Ellen White’s statement that the SDA church will be brought down to hell.

G.     Ellen White’s statement that the SDA church is repeating the History of ancient Israel.

H.    Ellen White’s Instructor’s statement that the church is a harlot and it’s refusal to remedy that situation after over 100 years.

I.        Ellen White’s statements concerning a COUNTERPART TO THE JEWS.  The only church that could qualify as a counterpart is some other “chosen people” who claim to be the remnant and a commandment-keeping people while violating serious commands of God, just as Israel did.

J.       Ellen White’s statement that the church would form a New Movement that would “remove God.” 1SM 205.

K.    Ellen White’s statement that the church is worse than heathen, graven image worshippers who have had no knowledge of a better way.

L.      Ellen White’s statement that if the church BECAME Laodicean, it would not stand in any more favor with God than the fallen churches of Babylon—the cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

M.   Ellen White’s statement that if the church did not clean up the licentious intimacy practices it would become a sister to fallen Babylon.  Not only has the church not cleaned up those practices, but adulterating ministers are merely removed from one locality to another IF THEY ARE GOOD AT THEIR JOB—GOOD SALESMEN IN PROSELYTIZING.

N.    Ellen White’s statement that SDA leaders would instruct the people to keep Sunday when the crunch comes!

O.    The church’s violation of Ellen White’s counsel in general and more seriously her counsel not to marry the church to the world.  The church did that in 1930, by accepting the World’s Accreditation Standards, whereby it must teach the world’s criteria (curriculum) in all its educational facilities.  Satan himself could not construct a better plan to marry the church’s youth to the world!  Ellen White said that the church would become a cage of every unclean and hateful bird if it married itself to the world!

P.      Ellen White’s statement that SDA campmeetings would bring in every uncouth thing JUST BEFORE PROBATION CLOSES!  No time for reformation of character then!

Q.    Ellen White’s statement that SDA are EXACTLY repeating the history of the apostate Jews.

R.     Ellen White’s statement that if Christ came today He would have to do a similar work as He did among the Jews!  What did He do then? He separated from them.

S.      Ellen White’s statement that Jesus gathered out those who would take the gospel to the world, DA 232.

T.     Ellen White’s statement quoting Jeremiah 11:14, in application to SDAs.

U.    Ellen White’s statement that SDA leaders were “dumb dog watchmen (Isa. 56:10-12) who would NEVER AGAIN show the house of Jacob its sins.  5T 211.

V.    Ellen White’s statement that the Laodicean state of the church is the foolish virgin state.  The foolish virgins are not reformed. They are lost.

W.  Ellen White’s admonition in the Alpha of Apostasy, that Haskell take the youth as far away from the church as possible.  What would the Omega demand?

X.    Ellen White’s statement that the Omega would develop and wax stronger until Jesus comes—combined with her linked Omega statement that the church would remove God.

Y.      Ellen White’s UNCONDITIONAL statement that the leaders of the church would change leaders and know it not.

Z.       Ellen White’s prophecy that the last message of the three angel’s would not be committed to the leaders of the church because they had failed to give it and thus betrayed it.  The 1884 Great Controversy, "I then saw the THIRD ANGEL. Said my accompanying angel, 'Fearful is his work. Awful is his mission. He is the angel that is to select the wheat from the tares, and seal, or bind, the wheat for the heavenly garner." E.G. White, Early Writings, 118.

"The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message, symbolizes a class of faithful men, who obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth. This message WAS NOT to be committed to the religious leaders of the people.  They had failed to preserve their connection with God, and had refused the light from Heaven; therefore they WERE NOT of the number described by the apostle Paul: ‘But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.  Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day; we are not of the night nor of darkness.

The watchmen upon THE WALLS OF ZION should be the first to catch the tidings of the Saviour’s advent, the first to lift their voices to proclaim him near, the first to warn the people to prepare for his coming.  But they were at ease, dreaming of peace and safety, while the people were asleep in their sins.  Jesus saw HIS CHURCH like the barren fig-tree, covered with pretentious leaves, yet destitute of precious fruit.  There was a BOASTFUL observance of the forms of religion, while the spirit of true humility, penitence and faith—which alone could render the service acceptable to God—was lacking.  Instead of the graces of the Spirit, there were manifested pride, formalism, vainglory, selfishness, oppression.  A backsliding church closed their eyes to the signs of the times.  God did not forsake them, or suffer his faithfulness to fail; but they DEPARTED FROM HIM, and SEPARATED themselves from His love.  As they REFUSED to comply with the conditions, his promises WERE NOT fulfilled to them.

Love for Christ and faith in his coming waxed cold.  Such is the sure result of neglect to appreciate and improve the light and privileges which God bestows…

Obedience requires a sacrifice and involves a cross; and this is why so many of the professed followers of Christ REFUSED to receive the light from Heaven, and like the Jews of old, knew not the time of their visitation.  Because of their pride and unbelief, the Lord passed them by, and revealed his truth to men in humble life, who had given heed to all the light they had received.”" E. G. White, The Spirit of Prophecy, vol. 4, 199, 200. (Not to be confused with Testimonies, Vol. 4.  Spirit of Prophecy, Vol. 4, is the 1884 edition of The Great Controversy.

Try to find the above statement in the 1911 edition of The Great Controversy!  Especially in light of the fact that Ellen White said that she would not change a word of that book!

I have exhausted the alphabet in lettering the evidences of Ellen White concerning statements that state and/or imply a need for another separation.  But Scripture demands it!  Though I have exhausted the alphabet in lettering the example I have, I certainly have not exhausted the evidence, but if one will not accept the above evidence, they will not accept any evidence even though an angel should be raised from the dead in front of them.

And finally, Walt, the last portion of the third part of your question:  And if the above be true, is there not then specified a separation that must at some time, take place?  Does EGW say anything on the matter?  Is this what she speaks of with the mention of the church being purified?”

Ellen White told how the church would be purified when she said that The Destruction of Jerusalem, Chapter 1 of The Great Controversy, was a PREFIGURE, p. 25 ibid.

How was the church purged and purified in that PREFIGURE TYPE.  Part of the Bible evidence I neglected to cite is Ezekiel 22:17-31, where he tells exactly where the dross (tares) are gathered and burned—INTO THE MIDSTS OF JERUSALEM, just as in the PREFIGURE TYPE IN A.D. 70.

You know something interesting folk, a lot of people have been greatly interested in this message at first, then like the stony ground hearers, when it does not sell well to their friends and relatives in the church, they become weary and scratch it.  That is  a shame in view of all the truth they are abandoning and in light of their loss of eternal life in exchange for the simple reasons they finally reject truth.

It is all like those who heard Jesus’ sermon on the Mount, and walked away saying “This is too hard an saying.”  All who are saved are going to have to drink of the cup of trial and testing of their faith.  This is not a popular message!

God bless,

Ron Beaulieu

P.S.  If I have mentioned something Ellen White said but did not give the statement or the reference, feel free to ask and I will oblige you.
