SDA Pastor Leads Church Members to Receive Lord Maitreya

Dear Fellow Seventh-day Adventists,

The following teaching was advanced on a Internet e-group by an SDA minister. I have omitted his name and the name of the person he is responding to. Read his views and then compare them with those of Lord Maitreya's (SEE OUR HOME-PAGE MENU UNDER LORD MAITREYA--DEMON FROM HELL at the following address: https://members.tripod.com/omega77/AAAEXP.htm ). Here is what your tithe sponsors via SDA liberal, Omega of Apostasy ministers. (The SDA Pastor is responding to an ex-SDA who has converted to Catholicism:

"(Name of Respondee_________ insists: 'No, there is One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.' There are 26,000+ (and growing) protestant sects. The Holy Spirit is not given to spreading confusion, rather He leads us into all truth. This proliferation of denominations (regardless of their cores) cannot be the will of God.

Now, (Name of Respondee __________, "YES, there is One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I believe that I am a part of it, as are you. However, Romans 14 (et. al.) shows that there may be variations of perspective and practice within that "One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church". "This proliferation of denominations (regardless of there cores)" MAY "be the will of God."

The willingness to DENY that any particular denomination is a part of the "One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church" is NOT the will of God. God wants us to listen to and learn from each other. We each have something to contribute which is essential and beneficial to the whole Body.

Unity is an attitude among those who differ with others toward those gazillion varieties of mammal walking about, they are STILL all mammals.

This next is really quite pompous: "Yes, all 26,000+ protestant sects may be considered Christian TO SOME EXTENT, but they are still DIFFERENT RELIGIONS."

This calls your personal "catholicity" into question. Last summer, I visited with the Russian Orthodox Bishop in Juneau, Alaska. He was quite willing to welcome me as his brother in the "One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church", and warmly expressed it. If you are truly "catholic", you MUST welcome all of these "sects" (as you call them) as already a part of the warp and woof of the tapestry of the Christian faith -- even the Orthodox Churches are already a part of the "One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church." Either you are truly "catholic", or you are not. Your statements here (and others like them) suggest that you are more parochial (and less "catholic") in your thinking than you are willing to admit. (You often sound "just like an Adventist" in your "we're-the-only-true-churchism".)

Sometimes I suspect that you confuse "unity" with "uniformity". "Unity" comes from the Holy Spirit; "unity" may exist in the midst of diversity. Diversity is one of the marks of God's creativity. Uniformity warps God's creation into something that it isn't.

So tell me, do you honestly believe that the Patriarch of the Syrian Orthodox Church recognizes the Bishop of Rome or the Catholic Church over which the Bishop of Rome presides to be his spiritual superior? How about the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox, the Greek Orthodox, or the Abyssinian Orthodox? These are all "One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church", too. And, if I follow the Apostles alone as they have expressed themselves in the Scriptures even over the Bishop of Rome, does that not also make me truly "Apostolic"?

I agree with you, however, when you point out that "the same creeds stated that we believe in a Triune God, in the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, and in the Communion of the Saints --- three things that the 'early pioneers' of SDAism did not believe in, and for the most part do not believe now." Just because these country folk did not understand or misunderstood the terminology does not make them any less a part of the ONE BODY, the Church of Jesus Christ, the "One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church."

However, one may not remain a "dwarf" in the "Narnian paradise" forever; "growth" is also a mark of God's creativity. As I've stated to you in various ways before, your little denomination is a part of the whole, not THE whole. The same is true for SDAism and all the other little "isms".

Your "c"atholic brother,

Signed: (I have omitted the Pastor's name)
