The
Barley Bride
As
Compared With
Her
Sons and Daughters
I have taught the living truth that some
saints will grow up in heaven by the ministering aid of the 144,000 who go into
the Temple on Mt. Zion as pillars, leaders, Revelation 3:10-12. Some have taken
exception to this fact because they do not have spiritual discernment and
knowledge of the Scriptures that would enable them to understand the truth
relative to this spiritual concept. Gar is one of these persons and he
expresses his lack of knowledge in the following post to an SDA Internet group
forum. It would have been wiser for Gar to ask question(s) of me rather than
accuse me as he does in the following post. But that is the way of those who
are ready and willing to accuse the true brethren. Folk like Gar have shaken
themselves into a position that will involve a very rude awakening on judgment
day. This fact is one of great pathos.

Ron’s Response to Gar and Other Who do not
Understand the Bride of Christ and Her Children
In
Isaiah 62, Zion is defined as the virgin (Bethulah—Strictly pure virgins) who
is married, verses 1-5. This is the bride of Christ, the 144,000 who are made
pillars in the Temple, Rev. 3:10-12, because only the 144,000 enter that
Temple, Early Writings, p. 19. And
the message is to Philadelphia, so it is Philadelphians who constitutes Zion,
the Bride.
Isaiah 62
1 For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's
sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness,
and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. 2 And the Gentiles
shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called
by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name. 3 Thou shalt
also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the
hand of thy God. 4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither
shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah,
and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land
shall be married. 5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and
as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee. 6 I
have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their
peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, 7
And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in
the earth. 8 The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm
of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine
enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which
thou hast laboured: 9 But they that have gathered it shall eat it,
and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in
the courts of my holiness. 10 Go through, go through the gates;
prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the
stones; lift up a standard for the people. 11 Behold, the LORD hath
proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say
ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy
salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. 12
And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou
shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken. Isaiah 62:1-12.
The
Family of God
·
Jesus is the
bridegroom (Father).
·
Zion is the Mother,
the wife, the bride of Christ.
·
The bride has sons
and daughters (the bridesmaid guests) (verses 5 and 11 and Great Controversy, pp. 427, 1911 edition.
The
sons and daughters of Zion are all others who are saved who are not part of the
144,000. They do not reach the stage of perfection on this earth that the bride
reaches. For example, consider little children who are saved. Ellen White said
that the fate of children depends on the fate of their parents. If the parents
are saved, their children will be saved, but consider that little children
and/or new converts right up till the close of probation will not have had time
to develop character (ripen) to the extent the 144,000 have. The Lord has shown
me that these “babes in Christ” will be instructed by the 144,000 for the
millennium period in heaven. That will be the priestly function of the 144,000
in the heavenly Temple during that time frame. God knows that they are safe to
save, but they will need education in spiritual maturity.
The Difference Between the Barley Bride and
the Wheat
The
bride, the 144,000, not only reach a stage of development that her children do
not reach, but as the barley was the first crop to ripen, the bride is ready
first and she constitutes the true overcomers. The bride reaches perfection as
depicted in Revelation 14:1-4. This link should be studied very carefully:

Revelation 14
1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with
him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in
their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many
waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers
harping with their harps: 3 And they sung as it were a new song
before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could
learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were
redeemed from the earth. 4 These are they which were not defiled
with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb
whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto
God and to the Lamb. 5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for
they are without fault before the throne of God. Rev. 14:1-4.
In the Middle East, barley was the firstfruits crop to ripen and this was the first
offering of the spring feasts. It was the wave sheaf offering.
Lev 23:11 And he shall wave the sheaf before
the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest
shall wave it.
Lev 23:12 And ye shall offer that day when ye
wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the
first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD.
Lev 23:15 And ye shall count unto you from the
morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave
offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
Exd 22:29 Thou
shalt not delay [to offer] the first of thy ripe fruits, and of thy liquors:
the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me.
Exd 23:19 The
first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the
LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
Exd 34:26 The
first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the
LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
1Cr 15:23 But every man in his own order:
Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
Jam 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the
word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
Exd 23:19 The
first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the
LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
Rev 14:4 These are they which were not defiled
with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb
whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, [being] the
firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
