Taking Another Look at the Three Angels’
Message
Revelation 14:6-12
Revelation 18: 1-5
Seventh-day Remnant Ministries is devoted to proclaim The Three
Angels’ Messages as taught by the early pioneers of the Seventh-day Adventist
faith and to take part in the loud cry. We have a burning desire to rekindle
that first love, joy, peace and faith in each one’s heart, as we have experienced,
while ‘Taking Another Look At The Three Angels’ Messages! This study is from

Purity of life and a
character molded after the divine Pattern are not obtained without earnest
effort and fixed principles. A vacillating person will not succeed in attaining
Christian perfection. {CG 466.2}
The great issue so near at hand [enforcement of Sunday laws]
will weed out those whom God has not appointed and He will have a pure, true,
sanctified ministry prepared for the latter rain.--3SM 385 (1886). {LDE
179.2}
But how do
men fall into such error? "By starting with false premises, and then
bringing everything to bear to prove the error true. In some cases the first
principles have a measure of truth interwoven with the error, but it does not
lead to any just action, and this is why men are misled. In order to reign and
become a power, they employ Satan's methods to justify their own principles.
They exalt themselves as men of superior judgment, and they have stood as
representatives of God. These are false gods." {TM 364.1}
Revelation 18:1
And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having
great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
18:2
And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is
fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of
every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
1888: “If we
place ourselves in a position that we will not recognize the light God sends or
His messages to us, then we are in danger of sinning against the Holy Ghost.
Then for us to turn and see if we can find some little thing that is done that
we can hang some of our doubts upon and begin to question! The question is, has
God sent the truth? Has God raised up these men to proclaim the truth? I say,
yes, God has sent men to bring us the truth that we should not have had unless
God had sent somebody to bring it to us. God has let me have a light of what
His Spirit is, and therefore I accept it, and I no more dare to lift my hand
against these persons, because it would be against Jesus Christ, who is to be
recognized in His messengers. {1888

Now, I want you to be careful, every one
of you, what position you take, whether you enshroud yourselves in the clouds
of unbelief because you see imperfections; you see a word or a little item,
perhaps, that may take place, and judge them from that. You are to see what God
is doing with them. You are to see whether God is working with them, and then
you are to acknowledge the Spirit of God that is revealed in them. And if you choose to resist
it you will be acting just as the Jews acted. You have all the light
and all the evidences that they had. They rejected the light notwithstanding
the mighty miracles of God were there. Their hearts were so filled with
prejudice that they said at last, Oh, He does miracles by the power of
Beelzebub, the prince of devils; that is how He does His miracles.” {1888 608.3}
“Now,
brethren, God wants us to take our position with the man that carries the
lantern; we want to take our position where the light is, and where God has
given the trumpet a certain sound. We want to give the trumpet a certain sound.
We have been in perplexity, and we have been in doubt, and the churches are
ready to die. But now here we read: "And after these things I saw another
angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened
with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen,
is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul
spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird" [Rev.
18:1,2]. {1888 609.1}
Well now, how are we going to
know anything about that message if we are not in a position to recognize
anything of the light of heaven when it comes to us. {1888 609.2}
The quote above indicates
that the message of Revelation 18:1,2 will come to Seventh-day Adventist.
To get an understanding of
the meaning lets study the Spirit of Prophecy the same way we do the Bible and
compare references to see if the above quote truly will need to be given to
SDA’s.
Isaiah
28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and
whom shall he make to understand doctrine? [them that are] weaned from the
milk, [and] drawn from the breasts.
28:10
For precept [must be] upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon
line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little.
"A
similar work will be accomplished when that other angel, represented in
Revelation 18, gives his message. The first, second, and third angels' messages
will need to be repeated. The call will be given to the church, "Come out of her, My
people, that ye be not partakers of her sins." "Babylon, the
great, is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the
hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. . .
Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye
receive not of her plagues: for her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath
remembered her iniquities" [Rev. 18:2-5].

“The call is to be given to
the church: "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is
become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage
of every unclean and hateful bird. {RH, October 31, 1899 par. 11}
Please notice the words “become the
habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every
unclean and hateful bird.” These words are connected with Babylon. A cage is a
denomination that holds its members by deception with the teaching that the
denomination is the church which is a false doctrine.
"God has a church. It is not the great cathedral, neither is it the
national establishment, neither is it the various
denominations; it is the people who love God
and keep His commandments. "Where two or three are gathered together in my
name, there am I in the midst of them" (Matt. 18:20). Where Christ is even
among the humble few, this is Christ's church, for the presence of the High and
Holy One who inhabiteth eternity can alone constitute a church. " {UL
315.5}
Solemn
Warnings Stir Thousands.--Men of faith and prayer will be constrained to go
forth with holy zeal, declaring the words which God gives them. The sins of
Babylon will be laid open. The fearful results of enforcing the observances of
the church by civil authority, the inroads of Spiritualism, the stealthy but
rapid progress of the papal power,--all will be unmasked. By these solemn
warnings the people will be stirred. Thousands upon thousands will listen who
have never heard words like these. In amazement they hear the testimony that Babylon is the
church, fallen
because of her errors and sins, because of her rejection of the truth sent to
her from heaven.--The Great Controversy, pp. 606, 607. (1888) {Ev 43.4}
According to the above quotes
a church can become Babylon. The reason given is found in the last
sentence of the above quote; fallen because of her errors and sins, because of her rejection
of the truth sent to her from heaven. The Prophet uses the word-the church,
which is making no difference between denominations. The ecumenical movement is
gathering together a bond of unity that connects all, which becomes Babylon,
and the prophet of our God warns us that this message will come to the
Seventh-day Adventist in the above 1888 quote and the quote blow upholds this
thought.
“The world
must not be introduced into the church, and married to the church, forming a
bond of unity. Through this means the church will become indeed corrupt, and as stated in Revelation,
"a cage of every unclean and hateful bird." Through
association with the world our institutions will become unsubstantial,
unreliable; because these worldly elements, introduced and placed in positions
of trust, are looked up to as teachers to be respected in their educating,
directing, and official position, and they are sure to be worked upon by the
spirit and power of darkness; so that the demarcation becomes not distinguished
between him that serveth God and him that serveth Him not.{TM 265.1}
The above quote gives another
clue that the SDA denomination could become Babylon because of allowing worldly
things to come into the church and by forming a bond of unity with the world.
Is this why the prophet tells us that the three angels messages are to be
repeated to the church.
Isaiah 28:15,17-18: “Because
ye have said, we have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement:
When the overflowing scourge shall pass through, It will not come unto us: for
we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
Judgments also will I lay to the line and righteousness to the plummet:
and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies and the waters (wicked men)
shall overflow the hiding place. And your agreement with death shall be
disannulled and your agreement with hell shall not stand: when the overflowing
scourge shall pass thorough. Then ye shall be trodden down by it.”
Isaiah 28 verse 18 speaks of an agreement being made with hell.
What could the SDA
church Leaders do that would fulfill this prophesy of making an agreement with
hell?
The General Conference of the
Seventh-Day Adventist church has fulfilled this prophecy with the signing of
the “Lima text,” or what is called
“the Baptism, Eucharist, and Ministry Document,” in Lima, Peru in January of 1982. And I quote:
“Over one
hundred theologians met in Lima, Peru, in January 1982, and recommended unanimously
to transmit this agreed statement-the Lima text-for the common study and
official response of the churches. They represented virtually all the major
church traditions: Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Old Catholic,
Lutheran, Anglican, Reformed, Methodist, United, Disciples, Baptist, Adventist and
Pentecostal.”
Yes, you can plainly see that “Adventist” theologians took part in the
above unanimous agreed statement. They have fulfilled their part of Isaiah 28:15
and are now awaiting God's answer in Isaiah 28:17-18. There is more.
Mid-February 2000:- A news article from the Huntsville Times: The article reveals just how
close we are in fulfilling a part of the above agreement. I will state some of
what was in that article that was published for thousands to read:
“Where
will you find a Catholic priest speaking in a Baptist church with music being
performed by Seventh-day Adventists and members of a Church of Christ?”
At the
Festival of Christian Unity for the Great Jubilee service, in what is believed
to be a first of its kind event in the Huntsville area, the Christian community
will gather for a time of worship and praise at First Baptist Church on Sunday,
Jan. 23, for an interdenominational gathering that organizers and participants
hope will be the beginning of a new ecumenical movement here.
Continuing with the news article described above. “The Rev. Phil O’Kennedy, pastor at Good Shepherd Catholic Church will be
the speaker…. The Rev. John
Nixon, pastor of Oakwood College Seventh-day Adventist Church, said he is
“excited” about the role his denomination will play in the event.” “This is a
first-time event and the fact that it is bringing together Catholics and
Protestants is very exciting.” Said Nixon. “What makes it so meaningful is the
fact it was initiated by the church and not something political…It is our hope
that all barriers of divisiveness will be moved, and we will focus on the
things that unite us and draw us together.”
“It is a backsliding church
that lessens the distance between itself and the Papacy.” (Signs of the Times, Feb. 2,
1894).
Consider how the Leaders of
the SDA denomination are now working closely with the ecumenical Movement which
brings the churches as a whole lessens the distance between itself and the
papacy.
The following quote tells the future of the SDA denomination.
Kress collection pg. 153: “When Christ saw
in the Jewish people a nation divorced from God, He saw also
a professed Christian church (nominal Adventists) united to the world and the
papacy. And as He stood upon Mt. Olivet weeping over Jerusalem till
the sun sank behind the western hills, so He is watching over and pleading with
sinners in these last moments of time. Soon He will say to the angels who are
holding the four winds, 'Let the plagues loose; let darkness, destruction and
death come upon the transgressors of My Law.’ He will be obliged to those who have had great light and great knowledge,
(SDAs) as He said to the Jews, ‘Oh, that thou hadst known, even thou in this
day the things which belong unto thy peace’.”
Bible
Commentary Volume 10: 410-411 “The capstone of the ecumenical effort came with
the creation of the World Council of Churches…On the basis of Bible Prophecy
and the writings of Ellen G. White, SDAs anticipate the eventual success of the
ecumenical movement both in eliminating the division of Protestantism and in
reuniting Christendom by bridging the gulf that separate none Catholic
communions from Rome. The ecumenical movement will then become a concerted
power of the civil government in a universal movement will then become a
concerted effort to unite the world and to secure universal peace and security
by enlisting the power of the civil government a universal religion/political
crusade to eliminate all dissent. SDAs envision this crusade as the great
apostasy to be the great apostasy to which John the revelator refers as Babylon
the great. They understand
that God’s last message of mercy to the world will consist of a warning message
against this great apostate movement, and a call to all whom choose to remain
loyal to leave the Churches connected to it.
The editors of the BC
understood that by uniting with the ecumenical effort you would need to leave
such a church.
I understand
in the lasted editions of the BC they left the above quote out. How little did
they realize that the General Conference would reach out to the other churches
to be as one working for the same purpose?
"The
whole matter centers here. Obedience means eternal life; disobedience means
eternal death. Error never becomes truth, though it may be hoary with age. Then
shall intelligent beings decide that in this world, to which Satan was banished
as an exile, God has given the rebel what he claimed and failed o gain in
heaven? Shall
the professed Christian churches change leaders, taking a "Thus saith
Satan" in the place of a "Thus saith the Lord"? Advent Review
and Sabbath Herald 08-09-1898
"God
help us to have a knowledge of the truth, and if you have seen the truth of
God, press right to the light and put up the bars behind you. Make not flesh
your arm: but have a living experience for yourselves, and then your
countenance will shine with the glory of God. You have walked with Him, and He
has upheld you. You have wrestled with Him and pleaded with Him, and He has let
His light shine upon you."-Faith and works 77-78
"We
want to understand the time in which we live. We do not half understand it. We
do not half take it in. My heart trembles in me when I think of what a foe we
have to meet, and how poorly we are prepared to meet him. The trials of the children of
Israel, and their attitude just before the first coming of Christ, have been
presented before me again and again to illustrate the position of the people of
God in their experience before the second coming of Christ--how the
enemy sought every occasion to take control of the minds of the Jews, and today
he is seeking to blind the minds of God's servants, that they may not be able
to discern the precious truth. " {1SM 406.1}
The Jews was so educated that
the temple was so sacred that they would kill if you spoke against it. Today to
speak against the SDA denomination and the General Conference is considered the
worst of sin.
"Babylon is said to be "the mother of harlots." By her
daughters must be symbolized churches that cling to her doctrines and
traditions, and follow her example of sacrificing the truth and the approval of
God, in order to form an unlawful alliance with the world. The message of Revelation 14
announcing the fall of Babylon, must apply to religious bodies that were once
pure and have become corrupt. Since this
message follows the warning of the Judgment, it must be given in the last days,
therefore it
cannot refer to the Romish Church, for that church has been in a fallen
condition for many centuries.
Furthermore,
in the eighteenth chapter of the Revelation, in a message which is yet future, the people of God are called upon to come out of Babylon. According to
this scripture, many of God's people must still be in Babylon. And in what
religious bodies are the greater part of the followers of Christ now to be
found? Without doubt, in the various churches professing the Protestant faith.
At the time of their rise, these churches took a noble stand for God and the
truth, and his blessing was with them. Even the unbelieving world was
constrained to acknowledge the beneficent results that followed an acceptance
of the principles of the gospel. In the words of the prophet to Israel, "Thy
renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty; for it was perfect through
my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord God." But they
fell by the same desire which was the curse and ruin of Israel,--the desire of
imitating the practices and courting the friendship of the ungodly. "Thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playdest the harlot because of thy
renown." {GC88 382.3}
Points to consider what the
Prophet has said in the above GC quotes.
“The message of Revelation 14
announcing the fall of Babylon, must apply to religious bodies that were once
pure and have become corrupt.
Is it possible that the SDA
denomination will become corrupt?
“The great
apostasy, which is developing and increasing and waxing stronger, . . . will
continue to do so until the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout”. {UL
352.2} NYI, February 7, 1906,par 1
When you study the Spirit of
Prophecy concerning the SDA denomination you will find that the above two
quotes is telling you that there is apostasy in the denomination and that the
apostasy will increase and wax stronger until the Lord Comes. Finally it will
unite with the world and the papacy. This is happening right in front of your
eyes and you do not even know it.
2T 440 Is
a most startling statement! “He (Satan) has deceived them, benumbed their
sensibilities, and planted his hellish banner right in their midst,
and they are so completely deceived that they know not that it is he.”
"On October
1-9 in San Jose, Costa Rica, the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist at
the Annual Council of the Genera Conference Executive Committee approved a new
logo for use in the church entities worldwide." Adventist Review, Nov.
1996 Nad edition, p. 19 "approved a
new logo that incorporates symbols of the Adventist faith, including an open
Bible, the cross, and a flame symbolizing the Holy Spirit and the three angels
of Rev. 14."
But
these symbols are not Christian symbols.
The Cross: From the book
"Babylon Mystery Religion Ancient and Modern" By Ralph Woodrow
copyright 1996 I quote from the chapter "Is the Cross a Christian
Symbol?" {page 50 reads. "It was not until Christianity began to be
paganized that the cross came to be thought of as a Christian symbol. It was in
431 A.D. that crosses in churches and chambers were introduced." This was
done by the Roman Catholic Church. On page 51 we read, "The cross symbol –
in its original form – came from the first letter of the name Tammuz."
"The sign of the cross that Rome now worships was used in the Babylonian
Mysteries", says Hislop. That which is now called the Christian cross was
originally no Christian emblem at all, but was the mystic Tau of Chaldeans and
Egyptians – the true original form of the letter T, for Tammuz…(the sun-god of
Nimrod and Semiramuz). It was used in every variety of way as the most sacred
symbol. It was used as an amulet over the heart, it was marked on the official
garments of Rome today. And now it has become the official symbol of
Seventh-day Adventist."
We should recognize for sure
that like the Roman Standard that was set up some furlongs outside the city of
Jerusalem, the idolatrous Roman standard has been set up on Holy Ground today.
But we have more signs. Three
Wavy Lines. All churches that are members of this world organization have
somehow incorporated the three wavy lines in their literature. The three wavy
lines are the symbols occultists have worn to secretly display the sacred
number 666 of astrology. They also represent the lunar serpent {Satan) and when
they are yellow they are symbols of the pagan sun fire worship. When viewed in
color the wavy lines are yellow, The flame is also a symbol of sun worship and
occult sacrifice.
The banner representing the
message to be given to the world was the three angels, but the leadership
switched the true banner to be in agreement with the other churches.
If banners are to represent
truth then do you not think that Satan would use banners to identify himself?
The abomination of desolation
[banner of Sun worship] is certainly being displayed in the SDA publications
and camp meetings with the new SDA LOGO.
Rome's priests are agents of Satan yet they were invited to open a SDA
General Conference Session [at Toronto] with prayer to their god, Lucifer. The
planting their banner [the Vatican City flag] onstage-to a thunderous SDA
applause, led by SDA leadership at a world Session represents to me the
abomination of desolation sign.
Besides the planting of the
Vatican flag in the heart of a world wide SDA business session with the opening
prayer Given by Satan's agent to guide them during the session there are other
signs that the General Conference is in a bond of unity with Rome as has been
described in this study.
"Great
light has been shining in regard to medical missionary work. Had our people
accepted this light when first presented, what a change would now be seen in
the ranks of Sabbathkeepers. If we do not heed this light, our
candlestick will certainly be removed out of its place. The Lord has been withdrawing His presence from some who have had great
light but who have failed to walk in accordance with this light." {2MR 181.3}
So do not be deceived with
the teaching that the ship is going through; the tares will not leave the
church it will be the wheat that leaves the field.
Example of the wheat leaving
the field The wheat has to be separated from the field, which represents the
church in the parable of the wheat and the tares.(C.O.L. p. 70)
"The mark of the beast will be urged upon us. Those who have step by
step yielded to worldly demands and conformed to worldly customs will not find it
a hard matter to yield to the powers that be, rather than subject themselves to
derision, insult, threatened imprisonment, and death. The contest is between
the commandments of God and the commandments of men. In this time the gold
will be separated from the dross in the church. True godliness will be clearly distinguished from the appearance and
tinsel of it. Many a star that we have admired for its brilliancy will then go
out in darkness. Chaff
like a cloud will be borne away on the wind, even from places where we see only
floors of rich wheat. All who assume the ornaments of
the sanctuary, but are not clothed with Christ's righteousness, will appear in
the shame of their own nakedness.
But there are men who will
receive the truth, and these will take the places made vacant by those who
become offended and leave the truth. Those who are firm and true will close up
the vacancies that are made by those who become offended and apostatize. Men of
true Christian principle will take their place, and will become faithful,
trustworthy householders, to advocate the word of God in its true bearings, and
in its simplicity. The Lord will work so that the disaffected ones
will be separated from the true and loyal ones.... The ranks will not be
diminished." {Mar 200} See also 5T 81
Example: The ship not going
through.
2RH 231, pr. 1 (7-24-1888): “The solemn
question should come home to every member of our churches, how are we standing
before God, as the professed follower of Jesus Christ? Spiritual death has come upon the people that
should be manifesting life and zeal, purity and consecration, by the most
earnest devotion to the cause of truth. The facts concerning the real condition
of the professed people of God, speak more loudly than their profession, and make
it evident that some power has cut the cable that anchored them to the Eternal
Rock, and they are drifting away to sea, without chart or compass.”
In a separate study of the
one ship you will find that the cable that was cut by leadership is the line of
truth that was given by our pioneers in the first 50 years. The three angels
messages are the anchor that holds us to the Eternal Rock-Christ Jesus. It takes the power of the General Conference
to cut the cable.
Prophecy:
"Remember
therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or
else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his
place, except thou repent." He will take his Holy Spirit from the church, and give it to
others who will appreciate it. {RH,
July 16, 1895 par. 11}
Prophecy
Fulfilled:
But the
glory of the Lord had departed from Israel; although many still continued the
forms of religion, His power and presence were lacking. {5T 210.2}
2T pg. 441-442
“Like ancient Israel the church has dishonored her God
by departing from the light, neglecting her duties, and abusing her
high and exalted privilege of being peculiar and holy in character...
and Christ has departed.”
“Here we see that the church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel
the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given
great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the
people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not
look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former
days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say:
The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit
His people in judgment. Thus "Peace and safety" is the cry from men
who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people
their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that
would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men,
maidens, and little children all perish together. {5T 211.2}
You have read quotes that the
apostasy in the SDA denomination will increase to the end of time.
You have read quotes that
plainly tell you that the Holy Spirit will be taken from the church and given
to others.
You have read quotes that
tell you in plain words that the Holy Spirit has departed.
You have read in TM 265 quote
just how the church will become the cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
The 5T 211 lets you know that
all that is left in the SDA denomination will all perish together in the last
sentence of the 5T 211 quote above.
You will in this study find
out that the General Conference is following a false God.
Please note that the message of
Revelation 18 comes after the warning of the Judgment.
The first,
second, and third angels' messages are to be repeated. The call is to be given
to the church: "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation
of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and
hateful bird.." {RH, October 31,
1899 par. 11}
These messages must come to
Seventh-day Adventist before their probation closes and it closes before the
latter rain is given- the latter rain comes with the Sunday law. Before this
time the first angel’s and the second angel’s and the third is to be given to
the SDA church.
The first angel’s message is
a message of a judgment soon to come and it comes to the church as we found in
5T 211. If you wait until the Sunday law to come out of the apostate SDA
denomination you will be one of those men, maiden and little children all
perish together.
You are receiving in this
study the first angel’s message and the second angel’s message-the church has
become a cage of every unclean and hateful bird because of rejecting the truth
and joining up with the other churches with the ecumenical movement.
1 Peter
4:17 For the time [is come] that
judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what
shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God?
Why is it that the prophet is
saying that all will perish together in the 5T 211 quote? Is it because they
heard the message of Revelation 18 and did not apply it to their denomination
and stayed in the cage?
"Thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty; for it was
perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord
God." But they fell by the same desire which was the curse and ruin of
Israel,--the desire of imitating the practices and courting the friendship of the ungodly. "Thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playdest
the harlot because of thy
renown." {GC88 382.3}
The
SDA leadership –the General Conference- has repeated the history of Israel to
become a harlot through the ecumenical movement.
"Then
He said to me: "Can you not see how they have pretentiously covered up
their defilement and rottenness of character? 'How is the faithful city become
an harlot!' My Father's house is made a house of merchandise, a place whence
the divine presence and glory have departed! For this cause there is weakness,
and strength is lacking." {8T
250.2}
The faithful city indicates organization the General Conference would and
should have been the faithful city and at one time it was. But the prophet is
now saying the faithful city has become a harlot.
“The command is:
"Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set
a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done
in the midst thereof." These sighing, crying ones had been holding forth
the words of life; they had reproved, counseled, and entreated. Some who had
been dishonoring God repented and humbled their hearts before Him. But the glory of the Lord had
departed from Israel; although many still continued the forms of
religion, His power and presence were lacking.

False watchman’s will teach
that the words go in the midst of Jerusalem means stay in the SDA denomination
no matter how much apostasy. According to the quote below instead of staying
you will be giving the message go out.
5T 83: “We are
not God’s people unless we are such entirely, every weight, every besetting
sin, must be laid aside. God’s watchman will not cry, “peace, peace,” when God
has not spoken peace. “The voice of the faithful watchman will be heard: Go
ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of
the midst of her;
The only reason God sends a warning
through the faithful watchmen to go out is because of the quote in 5T; 210
plainly states that there is abominations being done in the midst of the city
[denomination] and the Lord had departed from Israel. [The denomination, which is the cage and become
a harlot, , a place whence the divine presence and glory
have departed! For this cause there is weakness, and strength is
lacking." {8T 250.2} ]
(Letter
to Judge Arthur from Ellen White January, 14 1903): “Results of the last
General Conference (1901) has been the most terrible sorrow of my life. No
change was made, so today upon those who have had great light and evidence but
who have refused to heed the Lord’s entreaties, heavens woes are pronounced.
The Lord bear long with the perversity of Israel but the time came when the
people passed the boundaries.”
The New Organization: In the 1903 General Conference Session a
warning was sounded before the vote was taken which jettisoned the reform
constitution of 1901. Dr. P.T. Magan, who has signed a minority report charging
the newly proposed Constitution to “be subversive of the principles of
organization” given at the General Conference of 1897 and 1901, declared:
“It may be
stated there is nothing in this new constitution which is not abundantly safeguarded
by the provisions of it: but I want to say to you that any man who has ever
read Nader’s History of the Christian Church, Mosheims, or any other great
church historians, any man who has ever read those histories can come to no
other conclusion but that the principles which are to be brought in through
this proposed constitution, and in the way in which they are brought in, are
the same principles, and introduced in precisely the same way, as they were
hundreds of years ago when the Papacy was made." (1903). GCB pg.
22.
In
1903 the Lord's messenger wrote this startling prophecy regarding the SDA new
organization.
"The
enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation
was to take place among Seventh-day Adventist, and that this reformation would
consist in given up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and
engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place,
what would result? (1) The principals of truth that God in His wisdom has given
to the remnant church would be discarded. (2) Our religion would be changed,
The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty
years would be accounted as error. (3) A new organization would be established.
(4) Books of a new order would be written. (5) A system of intellectual
philosophy would be introduced. (6) The founders of this system would go into
the cities , and do a wonderful work.
(7) The Sabbath would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. (8)
Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement. (9) The
leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed they
would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless.
(10) Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would
sweep away the structure." 1SM 204-205
So
the results of the new organization were that it would remove God from its
organization.

"At the local conference
level the Seventh-day Adventist Church has a representative form of government.
Above that level the polity of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is
hierarchical: authority flows downward and members in local congregations have
virtually no voice. Above that level, the Seventh-day Adventist Church is a
closed, self-operating, and self-perpetuating system similar to the Roman
Catholic Church, in which those in authority are not elected by, representative
of, or administratively accountable to, local conference level, those in
authority are not elected by, representative of, or administratively
accountable to, local congregations or the membership at large." Raymond
F. Cottrell -Spectrum, March 1984 pg. 42. (Associate Editor: SDA Bible
Commentary"
The new organization allows
you to elect up to the president but there is a power above that owns every
church and schools, it is a kingly power like the Catholic Church. You cannot
elect the ones that direct the SDA denomination.
"The
church has turned back from following Christ her Leader and is steadily
retreating toward Egypt. Yet few are alarmed or astonished at their want of spiritual
power. Doubt, and even disbelief of the testimonies of the Spirit of God, is
leavening our churches everywhere. Satan would have it thus. Ministers who
preach self instead of Christ would have it thus. The testimonies are unread
and unappreciated. God has spoken to you. Light has been shining from His word
and from the testimonies, and both have been slighted and disregarded. The
result is apparent in the lack of purity and devotion and earnest faith among
us. {5T 217.2}
What could have happen that would cause the leaders of the General
Conference to go so far as to remove God from the new organization and organize
a Catholic organization?
“What a
wonderful work could have been done for the vast company gathered in Battle
Creek at the General Conference of 1901, if the leaders of our work had taken
themselves in hand. But the work that all heaven was waiting to do as soon as
men prepared the way, was not done; for the leaders closed and bolted the door
against the Spirit's entrance. There was a stopping short of entire surrender
to God. And hearts that might have been purified from all error were
strengthened in wrongdoing. The doors were barred against the heavenly current that would
have swept away all evil. Men left their sins unconfessed. They built
themselves up in wrong doing, and said to the Spirit of God, "Go thy way
for this time; when I have a more convenient season, I will call for
thee." {BCL 55.4}
When the leadership rejected the truth and told the Spirit of God to go its
way the General Conference from that time onward began to be led by a false
God.
“That
these men should stand in a sacred place, to be as the voice of God to the
people, as we once believed the General Conference to be--that is past".--GCB April 3, 1901, p. 25.
{Last Day Events 50.4}
“The result of this has been in various ways. The
sacred character of the cause of God is no longer realized at the center of the
work. The voice from Battle Creek, which has been
regarded as authority in counseling how the work should be done, is
no longer the voice of God; but it is the voice
of--whom? From whence does it come, and
where is its vital power? This state of things is maintained by men who should
have been disconnected from the work long ago. These men do not scruple to
quote the word of God as their authority, but the god
who is leading them is a false god. {17MR 185.3}
“I would caution all believers to learn to maintain a godly jealousy over
yourselves, lest Satan shall steal your heart away from God and you slip
unconsciously into work in Satan's lines, without perceiving that you
have changed leaders, and be found in the treacherous
power of a tyrant. {3SM 19.2}
You say you have no religious inclinations. I am not surprised at this, because
it is a long time since you have taken yourself away from God and refused to be
a follower of Jesus Christ, and changed leaders. The god whom you have chosen as your god is not at all religiously
inclined, and as long as you give yourself [as] a willing subject to the great
leader of apostasy, you will never be religiously inclined. {15MR 97.3}
The
prophet has told us that the General Conference is no longer the faithful city
it’s a false god that is leading them they have changed leaders and do not even
know it and if you are supporting the General Conference you are supporting the
false God.
"The church is in the Laodicean state. The presence of God is not in
her midst."--1NL 99 (1898). {LDE
49.1}
Some people try to make a
difference between a harlot and Babylon but the prophet has made no difference
what so ever. Notice how the prophet worded it in 4SP 233.1. "Babylon is
said to be a harlot;"
Has the
prophet called the SDA Church a harlot? "Yes" If so, the prophet has
said the church is Babylon because the same prophet has said that Babylon is a
harlot tells you that the church has become a harlot.
'How is the faithful city
become an harlot!' My Father's house is made a house of merchandise, a
place whence the
divine presence and glory have departed! For this cause there
is weakness, and strength is lacking."

1 Cor: 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be
ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will
receive you,

And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters,
saith the Lord Almighty.
"
If the cage of every unclean and hateful bird represents Babylon and the
prophet has said this church will become this cage then it is the prophet that has foretold that this church
will become Babylon.
The
prophet has plainly foretold the future of the SDA denomination and we need to
know that that time is now.
Kress collection pg. 153: “When Christ saw
in the Jewish people a nation divorced from God, He saw also a
professed Christian church (nominal Adventists) united to the world and the
papacy. And as He stood upon Mt. Olivet weeping over Jerusalem till
the sun sank behind the western hills, so He is watching over and pleading with
sinners in these last moments of time. Soon He will say to the angels who are
holding the four winds, 'Let the plagues loose; let darkness, destruction and
death come upon the transgressors of My Law.’ He will be obliged to those who have had great light and great knowledge,
(SDAs) as He said to the Jews, ‘Oh, that thou hadst known, even thou in this
day the things which belong unto thy peace’.”
The message of the fall of Babylon, as given by the second angel, is
repeated, with the additional mention of the corruptions, which have been
entering the churches since 1844. The work of this angel comes in at the right
time to join in the last great work of the third angel's message as it swells
to a loud cry. And the people of God are thus prepared to stand in the hour of
temptation, which they are soon to meet. I saw a great light resting upon them,
and they united to fearlessly proclaim the third angel's message. {EW 277.1}
“This scripture points
forward to a time when the announcement of the fall of Babylon, as made by the
second angel [REV 14:8] of Revelation 14, is to be repeated, with the
additional mention of the corruptions which have been entering the various
organizations that constitute Babylon, since that message was first given, in
the summer of 1844. A terrible condition of the religious world is here
described. With
every rejection of truth, the minds of the people will become darker, their
hearts more stubborn, until they are entrenched in an infidel hardihood. In
defiance of the warnings which God has given, they will continue to trample
upon one of the precepts of the decalogue, until they are led to persecute
those who hold it sacred. Christ is set at naught in the contempt placed upon
his Word and his people. As the teachings of Spiritualism are
accepted by the churches, the restraint imposed upon the carnal heart is
removed, and the profession of religion will become a cloak to conceal the
basest iniquity. A belief in spiritual manifestations opens the door to
seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils, and thus the influence of evil
angels will be felt in the churches.

In the New
Testament, language very similar is addressed to professed Christians who
seek the friendship of the world above the favor of
God. Says the apostle James: "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not
that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will
be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."
{GC 382.1}
The General Conference is seeking the friendship of the world and the
other churches through the ecumenical movement.
“We must as a people arouse and cleanse the
camp of Israel. Licentiousness, unlawful intimacy, and unholy practices are
coming in among us in a large degree; and ministers who are handling sacred
things are guilty of sin in this respect. They are coveting their neighbors'
wives, and the seventh commandment is broken. We are in danger of becoming a sister to
fallen Babylon, of allowing our churches to become corrupted, and filled
with every foul spirit, a cage for every unclean and hateful bird; and will we
be clear unless we make decided movements to cure the existing evil? {TSB 188.3}
The above quote is telling us
in plain words that the members that support this apostasy will be guilty of
allowing our churches to become corrupted and filled with every foul spirit, a
cage for every unclean and hateful bird;
“The
command is: "Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of

In the time when His wrath shall go forth
in judgments, these humble, devoted followers of Christ will be distinguished
from the rest of the world by their soul anguish, which is expressed in
lamentation and weeping, reproofs and warnings. While others try to throw a
cloak over the existing evil, and excuse the great wickedness everywhere
prevalent, those who have a zeal for God's honor and a love for souls will not
hold their peace to obtain favor of any. Their righteous souls are vexed day by
day with the unholy works and conversation of the unrighteous. They are
powerless to stop the rushing torrent of iniquity, and hence they are filled
with grief and alarm. They mourn before God to see religion despised in the
very homes of those who have had great light. They lament and afflict their
souls because pride, avarice, selfishness, and deception of almost every kind
are in the church. The Spirit of God,
which prompts to reproof, is trampled underfoot, while the servants of Satan
triumph. God is dishonored, the truth made of none effect. {5T 210.3}
The class who do not feel grieved over
their own spiritual declension, nor mourn over the sins of others, will be left
without the seal of God. The Lord commissions His messengers, the men with
slaughtering weapons in their hands: "Go ye after him through the city,
and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: slay utterly old and
young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man
upon whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary. Then they began at the
ancient men which were before the house."
{5T 211.1}
“The
first, second, and third angels' messages are to be repeated. The call is to be
given to the church: "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is
become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage
of every unclean and hateful bird.."
{RH, October 31, 1899 par. 11}
We
need to consider the TM 265 quote that tells just how the church will become
the cage.
The world
must not be introduced into the church:
Has this happen?
"The church has gone
over to the world in transgression of the law, when the world should have come
over to the church in obedience to the law. Daily the church is being converted
to the world. {COL 315.3}
The world
must not be introduced into the church and married to the church, forming a
bond of unity. This is happening with the ecumenical movement.
Persecution is a sign that a
church has become a cage of every unclean bird and that the Holy Spirit of God
has departed..
Thoughts From the Mount of Blessing pg. 126: “When men indulge this accusing spirit,
they are not satisfied with pointing out what they suppose to be a defect in
their brother. If milder means fail of making him do what they think ought to
be done, they will resort to compulsion. Just as far as lies in
their power they will force men to comply with their ideas of what is right. This is what the Jews did in the days of Christ and what the church has
done ever since
whenever she has lost the grace of Christ. Finding herself destitute of the power of love, she has reached out for the
strong arm of the state to enforce her dogmas and execute her decrees. Here is the secret of all
religious laws that have ever been enacted, and the secret of all persecution
from the days of Abel to our own time.”
We see this spirit of
persecution is taking place in the SDA church such by taking to court those
that use the name SDA without church approval.
The SDA denomination has made
a world Trademark using the words Adventist, Seventh-day Adventist and
even the words Ellen White.
The General Conference hires
a catholic attorney to seek out independent SDA churches and sues them and
seeks to place them in jail. They will take away the privilege to use any book
with the trademark words.
The Very
Thing God Told Them Not to Do.--I have written largely in regard to Christians
who believe the truth placing their cases in courts of law to obtain redress.
In doing this, they are biting and devouring one another in every sense of the
word, "to be consumed one of another." They cast aside the inspired counsel
God has given, and in the face of the message He gives they do the very thing
He has told them not to do. Such men may as well stop praying to God, for He
will not hear their prayers. They insult Jehovah, and He will leave them to become the
subjects of Satan until they shall see their folly and seek the Lord by
confession of their sins.
“The world and unconverted church members are in sympathy. Some when God
reproves them for wanting their own way, make the world their confidence, and
bring church matters before the world for decision. Then there is collision and
strife, and Christ is crucified afresh, and put to open shame. Those church
members who appeal to the courts of the world show that they have chosen the
world as their judge, and their names are registered in
heaven as one with unbelievers. How eagerly the world seizes the
statements of those who betray sacred trusts!

This action, of appealing to
human courts, never before entered into by Seventh-day Adventists, has now been
done. God has permitted this that you who have been deceived may understand
what power is controlling those who have had entrusted to them great
responsibilities. Where are God's sentinels? Where are the men who will stand
shoulder to shoulder, heart to heart, with the truth, present truth for this
time, in possession of the heart?--Manuscript 64, 1898. {3SM 303.1}
Just recently the General Conference has used the court of law to destroy
a little church with the name
Seventh-day Adventist and will send some to jail. No other church in the US
persecutes. I do not know how long it will be before they take to court those
that are separated from the SDA organization. Below is a link to hear on a

those that break away from the
denomination and still feel that they are Seventh-day Adventist.

Special Testimony to Battle Creek Church, pg. 27: “Jerusalem is a representation of what
the church will be if it refuses to receive and walk in the light that God has
given... By rejecting God’s warnings in this our day men are repeating the sin
of Jerusalem... He has flashed light before the eyes of the people, that their
sins might not reach the boundary where repentance cannot be felt. But by a
long process of departure from just and righteous principles, men have placed
themselves where light and truth, justice and mercy are not discerned. This
course has become part of their very nature... Today men are choosing Barabbas,
and saying crucify Christ. They will do this in the person of His saints.
They will go over the same ground as the Jewish priests and rulers did in their
treatment of Christ. He, the Son of God, and an innocent man, was murdered
because he told men truths that it did not please them to hear. Yet he was the
Son of the infinite God.”
“That

“The church cannot measure
herself by the world nor by the opinion of men nor by what she once was. Her
faith and her position in the world as they now are must be compared with what
they would have been if her course had been continually onward and upward. The
church will be weighed in the balances of the sanctuary. If her moral character
and spiritual state do not correspond with the benefits and blessings God has
conferred upon her, she will be found wanting and the light of 1882 calls her
to an account. If her talents are unimproved, if her fruit is not perfect
before God, if her light has become darkness, she is indeed found wanting. . .
. We profess to know God, and to believe the truth, but in works deny Him. Our
deeds are directly adverse to the principles of truth and righteousness, by
which we profess to be governed.” Testimonies

How did God preserve His
church through the ages of time?
"The
Lord will always have a chosen people to serve Him. When the Jewish people
rejected Christ, the Prince of life, He took the kingdom of God and gave it
unto the Gentiles. God will continue to work on this principle with every
branch of His work. When a church proves unfaithful to the work of the Lord,
whatever their position may be, however high and sacred their calling, the Lord
can no longer work with them. Others are then chosen to bear important
responsibilities But, if these in turn do not purify their lives from ever
wrong action, if they do not establish pure and holy principles in all their
borders, then the Lord will grievously afflict and humble them and, unless they
repent, will remove them from their place and make them a reproach." 14MR 102 (1903)
2 Selected Messages pg. 68 "How Satan would exult to have a message go broadcast
that the only people whom God has made the repositories of His law are the ones
to whom this message applies. The wine of Babylon is the exalting of the false
and spurious sabbath above the Sabbath which the Lord Jehovah hath blessed and
sanctified for the use of man, also [it is] the immortality of the soul. These
kindred heresies, and the rejection of the truth, convert the church into
Babylon, Kings, merchants, rulers, and religious teacher are all in corrupt
harmony."
These dear people do not
recognize the words that these and kindred heresies, and the rejection of truth
convert the church into Babylon.
They do not recognize that
kindred doctrines to the immortality of the soul are teaching we can be saved
without obedience.
The above statement is the
most used statement to try to prove the SDA denomination will never be Babylon
If this were so we would not
see in her writings the following.
That the church will become
the cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
We would never see her say
the church has become a harlot.
We would never see the words
that God’s Holy Spirit has departed from the church.
We would never see the words
that the church has gone over to the world.
We would never hear the call
to come out.
They do not recognize that by
making no effect the importance of Sabbath keeping the members are being
prepared to keep Sunday. Having Sunday-Sabbath School is this not a teaching
lesson.
(1998) The Ministerial Association, of the General Conference of the
Seventh-day Adventist Trade Marked Church published a book called
"Confession of a Nomad" promoting Sunday worship. Below are some of
the words taken from page 118, 119 with my emphasis. [I have one of those
books.]
"He gave a holy day. This holy day is significant. It was a day of
rejoicing, a gift of good, a day of no work. The word 'Sabbath' does not mean
seven; it means cessation, the quitting of work. God did something new and real
for them in the Easter experience, so they would have the Sabbath, and so they
would gather together as the Christian sect on Sunday morning and celebrate the
resurrection. "Sunday is the day that gives you strength to work the six
days in front of you. The Sabbath is from sundown to sundown, but Sunday is
from midnight to midnight. The Sabbath is a day of rest, but Sunday is a day of
worship. The Sabbath has a penalty to it, if you break it; Sunday has no
penalty, except that you shortchange yourself. The Christian draws his strength
from Sunday. It's a time to let God talk to the inner man…The Christians took
the value of the Hebrew Sabbath and added to it the great joy of the Christian
resurrection. We have a marriage of the two in the Christian community.
I have a copy of that book. It does not matter if this book has been
taken off the market. The sign of abomination of desolation was given to God's
people. The leadership was only testing their members to see if they could urge
Sunday keeping. They found that they
still had too many faithful ministers. Since then there has been a lot of
firing faithful ministers. The removing of the faithful ministers has been prophesized.
"Many will stand in our
pulpits with the torch of false prophecy in their hands, kindled from the
hellish torch of Satan. If doubts and unbelief are cherished, the faithful ministers will be removed from the people who think they know so much,
"If thou hast known, "said Christ, "even thou, at least in this
thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! But now they are hid from thine
eyes." The Ellen G. White 1888 materials
pg. 1646 see TM 404-415 The Adventist Apocaly pse pg. 87 pr. 3 and Special
Testimonies for Ministers and Workers
no. 11 p. 8
Prophecy:
Notice what the prophet says: 1RH 405, March 18,1884. “The Lord has a controversy
with His professed people in these last days. (Seventh –day Adventist)
(emphasis mine:) In this controversy men in responsible positions will take a
course directly opposite to that pursued by Nehemiah. They will not only ignore
and despise the Sabbath themselves, but will try to keep it from others by
burying it beneath the rubbish of custom and tradition. In churches and large
gatherings in the open air, ministers will urge
upon the people the necessity of keeping the first day of the week. There are calamities on sea
and land: and these calamities will increase, one disaster following close upon
another: and the little band of conscientious Sabbath-keepers will be pointed
out as the ones who are bringing the wrath of God upon the world by their
disregard of Sunday.”
I wish you
to consider that at the time the prophet warned against calling the church
Babylon the SDA denomination was not Babylon and was building up the old waste
places standing in the breach.
I agree with
the Prophet that God’s people would never be Babylon. But I also understand
that Babylon can take over a church leadership whose voice is no longer the
voice of God and the holy spirit leaves.. When this happens God’s people will
simple leave such an organization and a call will come to them come out of
Babylon.
"I saw that God has honest children among the nominal Adventists and
the fallen churches, and before plagues shall be poured out, ministers and
people will be called out from these churches and will gladly receive the
truth. Satan knows this; and before the loud cry of the third angel is given,
he raises an excitement in these religious bodies, that those who have rejected
the truth may think that God is with them. He hopes to deceive the honest and
lead them to think that God is still working for the churches. But the light
will shine, and all who are honest will leave the fallen churches, and take
their stand with the remnant. {EW 261}
"Vice is not to be
commingled with virtue, and the cry may
have to go forth in no measured tones, even now while missionary work is being
done, "Come
out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the
unclean thing; and I will receive you" (2 Cor.
6:17). God is now working for His people,
but how many do not recognize the work of God from a strange work." {UL
23}
PP pg. 166: “There was a coming out, a decided
separation from the wicked, an escape for
life. So it was with Lot, so with the disciples prior to the destruction of
Jerusalem, and so will it be in the last days. Again the voice of God is heard in a
warning, bidding His people separate themselves from the prevailing iniquity.”
See (2 Cor. 6:17). God is now
working for His people, but how many do not recognize the work of God from a
strange work. {UL 23.2}
(1902) "I have a work to
do, and I am now making decisions. I must remain away from conferences
meetings. I must not attend camp meetings. The spirit of drawing apart, as the
result of judging one another, has become so common, and the churches are
becoming so leavened with this spirit, that I have no desire to attend these
meetings. After returning from them, it is often weeks before I am able to take
up my neglected work."
Because those in positions of responsibility have for years left the
Southern field unworked, notwithstanding the most decided testimonies urging
them to take up the work; because they continue to neglect this field and use
every manner of device in trying to uproot the confidence of the people in
those who have done the hardest and most self-sacrificing work to have no part
in any of their councils, and to attend no meetings, nigh nor afar off.
My mind shall not be dragged into confusion by the tendency they manifest
to work directly contrary to the light that God has given me. I am done, I will
preserve my God given intelligence.
My voice has been heard in the different conferences and at camp
meetings. I must now make a change.
I cannot enter the atmosphere of strife and then have to bear the
testimonies that cost me much more than those to whom they are sent can
imagine. When I attend the different meetings, I am compelled to deal with men,
standing in responsible places, who I know are not exerting an influence that
God can endorse. And when I bear a testimony in reference to their course of
action, advantage is taken of this testimony. These men have not clear
understanding. Should I say the things that I know, they would not, with their
present experience, use this instruction wisely, and would bring upon me
inconceivable burdens. I shall, therefore, leave them to receive word from the
Bible, in which the principles upon which they should work are laid down in

"My brethren, I feel great sorrow of heart. I shall not appear
before you again in our general gatherings unless I am impressed by the Spirit
of God that I should. The last General Conference that I attended gave you all
the evidence that you will ever have in any meeting that shall be convened. If that meeting did not
convince you that God is working by His Spirit through His humble servant, it
is because the candlestick has been removed out of its place." {18MR
