A non-profit organization has organized a website with information on new cancer treatments and trials worldwide. The organization, (Click here for WebSite) is based outside Los Angeles.
"(The site) provides information on thousands of ongoing clinical trials of new drugs and treatments for various types of cancer," said Alfred Leifer, the organization's co-president. These studies, on average, rarely enroll the maximum number of patients possible, Leifer said, so there is a huge opportunity to take part. "Cancer patients who have been told there's no cure for their condition can access our Web site and quickly determine whether they are eligible to participate
in these trials," Leifer said. The Web site also supplies inform ation on cancer support groups and plans to host online chats with cancer specialists.
