My Dear Christian Friends,
We are about to enter the greatest time of trouble
this earth has ever experienced, and that is saying a lot in light of the
horrors the faithful had to withstand in the Dark Ages!
Mat 24:21
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the
beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Mat
24:22 And except those days should be
shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those
days shall be shortened.
2Cr 5:13 For
whether we be beside ourselves, [it is] to God: or whether we be sober, [it
is] for your cause.
1Th 5:6
Therefore let us not sleep, as [do] others; but let us watch and be
sober.
1Th 5:8 But
let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and
love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
1Ti 3:11 Even
so [must their] wives [be] grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all
things.
Tts 2:2 That
the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in
patience.
Tts 2:4 That
they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love
their children,
Tts 2:6 Young
men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
1Pe 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your
mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you
at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your
adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may
devour:
Let us soberly consider the stance of a true
Christian and the kind of character it will take to endure such a testing and
tumultuous time. Let’s take some of the more “unpopular” admonitions of
scripture that we might better understand their importance in such a time as
we are about to experience.
Which side of the following issues do you
find yourself experiencing in the home and/or in your church life whether it
be a home church or the professing ecumenical oriented, country club style
“organized” new movement as described in Selected
Messages, Book 1, pp. 204-5:
“In
the time when His wrath shall go forth in judgments, these humble, devoted
followers of Christ will be distinguished from the rest of the world by their soul anguish, which is expressed
in lamentation and weeping, reproofs and warnings. While others try to
throw a cloak over the existing evil,
and excuse the great wickedness
everywhere prevalent, those who have a zeal for God's honor and a love for
souls will not hold their peace to
obtain favor of any. Their righteous souls are vexed day by day with the unholy works and conversation of the
unrighteous. They are powerless to stop the rushing torrent of iniquity, and hence they are filled with grief and alarm. They mourn before God to see religion despised in the very homes of those
who have had great light. They lament and afflict their souls
because pride, avarice, selfishness, and
deception of almost every kind are in the church. The Spirit of God, which prompts to
reproof, is trampled underfoot,
while the servants of Satan triumph.
God is dishonored, the truth made of none effect.
“The
class who do not feel grieved over their own spiritual declension, nor mourn
over the sins of others, will be left without the seal of God.” Testimonies, vol. 5, pages 210, 211.
Eze 9:4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the
midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the
foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be
done in the midst thereof.
Joe
2:17 Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and
the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine
heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore
should they say among the people, Where [is] their God?
What
God is calling for today is the straight testimony, such as John the Baptist
gave:
“In this fearful time, just before Christ is
to come the second time, God's faithful preachers will have to bear a still more pointed testimony than was
borne by John the Baptist. A responsible, important work is before them; and
those who speak smooth things, God will not acknowledge as His shepherds.
A fearful woe is upon them.” — Testimonies,
vol. 1, page 322.
This
calls for serious contemplation and heartfelt repentance, rather than
jubilation and merriment. So what do you experience at church? I can tell you
what God says you will experience:
Isa
56:10 His watchmen [are] blind: they
are all ignorant, they
[are] all dumb dogs, they
cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
Isa
56:11 Yea, [they are] greedy dogs
[which] can never have enough, and they [are] shepherds [that] cannot
understand: they all look
to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
Isa
56:12 Come ye, [say they], I will
fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall
be as this day, [and] much more abundant.
In
other words, eat, drink and be merry and tomorrow will be better and more
abundant than today! Is that what you need to experience character-wise in
order to enter the greatest time of trouble planet earth has ever witnessed?
Oh,
but you say: “My church and pastor are not like that!” Is that so? The gift
of the Holy Spirit to the church and God’s Word says that all the shepherds are like
that! Are you ready to contract God’s Word and the Spirit of Prophecy gift to
the church? Let’s give your pastor a little test to see if God is right when
He says ALL the shepherds
are just as Isaiah 56:10-12 says they are because Ellen White and God’s Word
says those words were written more for us than the Jews of old because they
are an ensample for us:
"The Bible for Our Time.--Never are we
absent from the mind of God. God is our joy and our salvation. Each of the
ancient prophets spoke less for their own time than for ours, so that their
prophesying is in force for us. 'Now all these things happened unto them for
ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the
world are come' (1 Cor. 10:11). 'Not unto themselves, but unto us they did
minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have
preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven which
things the angels desire to look into' (1 Peter 1:12).'" E.G. White, Selected
Messages,
Bk. 3, p. 338.
Prophets Wrote for Their Own and Our Day.—“The last books of the
Old Testament show us workers taken from the laborers in the field. Others
were men of high ability and extensive learning, but the Lord gave them
visions and messages. These men of the Old Testament spoke of things
transpiring in their day, and Daniel, Isaiah, and Ezekiel not only spoke of
things that concerned them as present truth, but their sights reached down to
the future, and to what should occur in these last days.”--Letter 132, 1898.

Since most SDA’s believe their church and pastor
are different from Isaiah 56:10-12, thereby contradicting God and Ellen
White, let’s give your pastor AND YOU this test:
· Do your pastor and YOU weep between
the porch and the altar for ALL the abomination in the church?
· "Mark this point with care:
Those who receive the pure mark of truth, wrought in them by the power of the
Holy Ghost, represented by a mark by the man in linen, are those 'that sigh
and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the church.' Testimonies, vol. 3, pp.
266-267.
· Does your pastor tell you where the
true porch and altar are after a church forms an apostate new movement that
removes God, 1SM 204-5? Does he tell you where the true porch and altar were
when Christ “gathered out” those who were to take the gospel to the world, Desire
of Ages, 232?
· Does your pastor teach you that
there were two headquarters for the professing church in Jerusalem—that of
Jesus and His disciples, and that of the apostate Temple?
· Does your pastor teach you that
Ellen White said there would be an exact COUNTERPART to the Jews at the
end-time that we are not even to pray for, and that only professing, apostate
SDA’s qualify as that COUNTERPART for the reason that both the Jews and
professing SDA’s were a “chosen,” “called out” “remnant” people who claim to
keep God’s commandments?
· COUNTERPART: "The Lord
commanded one of his ancient servants, 'Pray
not thou for this people [Jer. 7:16 and 11:14], neither lift up cry nor
prayer for them neither make intercession to me for I will not hear thee.'
The prophet thus describes the sins which had called forth this fearful
denunciation: 'The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by
their means and my people love to have it so and what will ye do in the end
thereof?' 'From the least of them even unto the greatest of them, every one
is given to covetousness and from the prophet even unto the priest, every one
dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people
slightly, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.' The apostles declare
that this state of things will find its COUNTERPART in the last days. Many
have a form of godliness, but in their daily life deny the power thereof.
They have ceased to be convicted of their sins or alarmed at their state.
They say in their hearts, 'The church is flourishing. Peace and spiritual
prosperity are within her borders.' The words of the prophet may well apply
to these self-deceivers, 'They have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth
in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring
their fears upon them." E. G. White, Second Advent Review and Sabbath Herald, 11-07-82.
· COUNTERPART: "In the time of
the Saviour, the Jews had so covered over the precious jewels of truth with
the rubbish of tradition and fable, that it was impossible to distinguish the
true from the false. The Saviour came to clear away the rubbish of
superstition and long-cherished errors, and to set the jewels of God's word
in the framework of truth. What would the Saviour do if he should come to us
now as he did to the Jews? He would have to do a similar work in clearing
away the rubbish of tradition and ceremony. The Jews were greatly disturbed
when he did this work [As are SDAs today!]. They had lost sight of the
original truth of God, but Christ brought it again to view. It is our work to
free the precious truths of God from superstition and error." E.G. White,

· Does your pastor instruct you
according to God’s Word to not pray for a corporate apostate church that has
committed unpardonable sin by violation of Isaiah 8:9-16, when the only
option given for such transgression of these clear commandments is to be
“broken in pieces,” stated three times for emphasis?!
· Does your pastor teach you about
the specific sins against God’s Word that are indeed unpardonable, to wit:
Isaiah 8:9-16 and Jeremiah 11:9-15, so that you are not to even pray for a corporate
church that violates those acts against God? Obviously, if we are not to pray
for those who commit such sins KNOWINGLY, they are unpardonable to all who do
so. We can pray for individuals who do not know that the church has committed
these unpardonable sins that the COUNTERPART CHURCH has committed, but we
cannot pray for a new movement that has thus “removed God,” (1SM 204-5)
because of entering strictly forbidden ecumenical union with Babylon and the
world. Ellen White says that the fallen churches cannot be distinguished from
the world, Early Writings, p. 273.
There is a modern COUNTERPART to the ancient
apostate "chosen people" of God. That modern COUNTERPART is the
people who claim to be the modern "chosen people" of God, the
remnant, if you will.
· Does your pastor teach you that if
you know of ALL THE ABOMINATIONS IN THE CHURCH you are corporately
responsible for them and that if you do not know them you are a Laodicean
foolish virgin and the foolish virgins are not saved unless they awaken to
become one of the wise virgins?
· "The plain straight testimony
must live in the church, or the curse of God will rest upon His people as
surely as it did upon ancient Israel because of their sins. God holds His
people, as a body [corporately], responsible for the sins existing in
individuals among them." Testimonies,
vol. 3, p. 269.
· Does the church and/or better
termed—the new movement you belong to teach the principle of corporate
responsibility which is based on Joshua chapters 6 and 7, and enumerated above
by the voice of the Holy Spirit to the church, Ellen G. White?
· Does your pastor teach you about
the ecumenical involvement of the church with fallen Babylon? Or does he lie
about and excuse that involvement? Does he tell you that church leaders lie
about such membership out of one side of their mouth and confess that they
are indeed members out of the other side of their mouth? Do they tell you
that the church is just “observers” in one paragraph of an article and then
that the church is not just present but takes an active part in another
paragraph of the same article? Do they tell you that they just observe in one
paragraph and that they PARTICIPATE in another paragraph of the same article?

· Does your pastor and/or your
leaders excuse and rationalize ecumenical ASSOCIATION, COUNSEL, GIRDING AND
CONFEDERACY with the fallen churches of Babylon?
· Do they excuse joint Easter Sunrise
services with Babylon?
· Do they excuse “conversations”
(COUNSEL) with Babylon?
· Does your pastor teach you about
the omega of Apostasy that Ellen White said would soon follow the alpha? Does
he know what the omega of apostasy is?
· Does your pastor teach you that the
Trinity Doctrine as embraced by the SDA new movement church is totally
contrary to Ellen White’s definition of the Holy Spirit, and that it
obfuscates the “highest good, and crowing sacrifice that heaven can bestow,”
by denying that the Holy Spirit is the life and soul of Christ which He
bequeathed to us at His Incarnation sacrifice in the heavenly Sanctuary—His
Divine Nature if you will?
· Does your pastor teach you that the
abominable Trinity Doctrine is Rome’s central doctrine?
· Does your pastor teach you that the
abomination of the Trinity Doctrine was truly “smuggled in”
by ONE MAN, in 1930, Leroy Froom, whom a Catholic woman identified as a
Catholic priest? Did Ellen White warn us of such an eventuality?
· "Worldly policy is
taking the place of true piety and wisdom that comes from above, and God will
remove His prospering hand from the conference. Shall the ark of the covenant
be removed from this people? Shall idols be smuggled in? Shall false
principles and false precepts be brought into the sanctuary? Shall antichrist be respected? Shall
the true doctrines and principles given us of God, which have made us what we
are, be ignored?.... This is directly where the enemy, through blinded,
unconsecrated men, is leading us." E. G. White, Manuscript 29,
1890.
· Does your pastor teach you about
the abomination of 1930 when the SDA church adopted the World’s Accreditation
Standards for its educational facilities so that they now are forced to teach
the world’s curriculum at our higher centers of learning? Does he teach you
that Ellen White said it would be better to close our institutions of
learning than to teach the world’s criteria? He shouldn’t have to teach you
that. That should be common sense to you!
· Does your pastor teach you how the
following prophecy of Ellen White has been and is being fulfilled at the
Youth Tents at SDA campmeetings? "The things you have described as
taking place in Indiana, the Lord has shown me would take place just before the close of probation.
Every uncouth thing will be demonstrated. There will be shouting,
with drums, music, and dancing. The senses of rational beings will become so
confused that they cannot be trusted to make right decisions. And this is
called the moving of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit never reveals itself in such methods, in such a bedlam
of noise. This is an invention of Satan to cover up his ingenious methods for
making of none effect the pure, sincere, elevating, ennobling, sanctifying
truth for this time. Better never have the worship of God blended with music
than to use musical instruments to do the work which last January was
represented to me would be brought
into our camp meetings. The truth for this time needs nothing of this
kind in its work of converting souls. A bedlam of noise shocks the senses and
pervert that which if conducted aright might be a blessing. The powers of
satanic agencies blend with the din and noise, to have a carnival, and this
is termed the Holy Spirits working." Selected Messages, vol. 2, p. 36.
· Does your pastor teach you that
according to Ezekiel 22:17-31, the bad are shaken into the apostate new
movement church rather than out of it? Does he teach you that this is why
Ellen White and God say that Ezekiel 9 will BEGIN AT MY SANCTUARY, Ezekiel
9:6 and Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 211? Does Ellen White contradict
Ezekiel 22:17-31? The answer to my question is NO! If all Ellen White says on
this issue is interpreted so that nothing contradicts, she does not
contradict Ezekiel 22:17-31! It is your errant pastor and your new movement
leaders who teach you that the bad will be shaken out of the new movement
that has “removed God,” (1SM 205), and that it will go through as a Noble
Ship into port heaven NO MATTER WHAT IT DOES!
· Does your pastor teach you about
the true SDA church of Ezekiel 20:34-38, from which, and by which all rebels
are shaken out of the kingdom of heaven? cf. Matthew 13. That church will be
the literal 144,000.
Does your pastor teach you that the number
144,000 is merely symbolic and that the 144,000 includes all the faithful
members of the SDA church? How would that teaching jive with the following
definition of the 144,000 by Ellen White? All
who have died in the faith of the third angel's message since 1844 are not
the 144,000, because the 144,000 are the final generation, the remnant that
lives in the generation of the second advent.
"The woman is a symbol
of the church, and
the remnant of the church represents the
Christians of the last generation of men, living just prior to the second
advent. The dragon makes war on
these for keeping the commandments of God, Sabbath and all, and having the
testimony of Jesus Christ, which, according to the inspired definition of
chap. xix, 10, 'is the spirit of prophecy.' Here, then, are the causes of the
dragon's warfare upon the remnant. They teach the observance of the ten
commandments, and the revival of the gifts, and acknowledge the gift of
prophecy among them. When the Devil got one foot upon the fourth
commandment, and the other upon the gifts planted in the Christian church by
Jesus Christ, then his satanic majesty was filled with revengeful delight. But when the remnant, whom God
designs to fit for translation to Heaven without seeing death, 'ask for the old paths,
where is the good way, and walk therein,' then the dragon is wroth, and makes
war on them.
The true spirit of the
dragonic host, which is already being somewhat developed, is vividly
described in Isa. xxx, 8-13, as being manifested just prior to the sudden
destruction of those who hate the pure testimony, and love smooth and deceitful
things." E. G. White, Spiritual Gifts, Vol. III, 26, 27.
·
The remnant cannot be ALL CHRISTIANS of the last generation of men
living just prior to the second advent, or there were be no martyrs, and
Ellen White said there will be many martyrs.
·
The remnant fully acknowledge the ten-commandments and the revival of
gifts and the gift of prophecy among them.
·
The remnant are the 144,000, because only the 144,000 are translated
without seeing death.
Personally, I believe Ellen White will be one of the
144,000 Philadelphians. Here is how I believe that will work:
7 And to the
angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is
holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no
man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; 8 I know thy
works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it:
for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied
my name. 9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan,
which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to
come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which
shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy
crown. 12 Him that overcometh
will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon
him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new
Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon
him my new name. Rev. 3:7-12.

The above message
was ALSO given to the original church of Philadelphia, circa the days of the
disciples.
·
God told original
Philadelphia, beginning around circa A.D. 30, that they would be kept from
the hour of temptation that shall come upon all the world.
·
The hour of
temptation that comes upon all the world is the time of trouble and the great
time of trouble.
·
Philadelphia is
made pillars (leaders, priests), in the Temple of God on Mt. Zion. Christ is
the High Priest, His bride, the 144,000, are the lesser priests, according to
the Sanctuary on earth wherein there was a high priest and lesser priests.
·
Ellen White says
that only the 144,000 will enter the Temple on Mt. Zion, Early Writings,
p. 19.
·
The bride, the
144,000, receive the name NEW JERUSALEM, because they are the representatives
of that city, and if the bride, they cannot be the guests and
vice-versa, Great Controversy, p. 426-7.
·
Desire of Ages, 179, says that the disciples were the bride of Christ,
so they must be part of Philadelphia, the bride that is kept from the
hour of temptation. They must be alive to be translated without seeing death FROM
THE TIME THEY ARE REGENERATED AGAIN FOR THE FINAL GENERATION, AS IS THE CASE
WITH THE FAITHFUL BRIDE FROM EVERY GENERATION.
·
If the above is
not true, then the disciples could not be priests (pillars) in the Temple.
They would not be the bride of Christ.
·
The message of
Philadelphia has been to every generation. It was to the faithful SDA's in
1844 and on. How can it apply to them without REGENERATION, for which
reincarnation is Satan's counterfeit? Remember, Satan has tried
to counterfeit every important thing God has done.
To
summarize, the following things demand that Philadelphia be the bride of
all generations:

She is made
pillars in the Temple.
·
Only the 144,000
enter that temple, Early Writings, p. 19.
·
The 144,000 are
translated without seeing death AFTER THEY ARE REGENERATED.
·
The 144,000 are
obviously the bride of Christ from every generation.
·
Original
Philadelphia, circa A.D. 30 and on, must receive the promise of the message
to Philadelphia. How would they be made pillars of the Temple, when only the
144,000, go in and they are the final generation translated without seeing
death? (IF REGENERATION IS NOT ONLY TRUE, BUT
ENTIRELY NECESSARY; IF ELLEN WHITE IS A TRUE PROPHET, AND IF THE MESSAGE TO ORIGINAL
PHILADELPHIA IS TRUE?).
·
If Ellen White is
a true prophet in saying that only the 144,000 go into the Temple on Mt.
Zion, and that they are the last generation translated WITHOUT SEEING DEATH,
and original Philadelphia is made pillars in that Temple on Mt. Zion,
regeneration is entirely necessary or Ellen White would be a false prophet.
One may make his/her choice. I choose to believe this scenario which is
interpreting all the pertinent evidence so that NOTHING contradicts.
·
Certainly, the
disciples of Christ are part of the bride of Christ, DA, 179.
·
Only the bride
goes into the Temple on Mt. Zion.
·
The guests never
enter that Temple. The guests at the wedding cannot be the bride, GC, 427.
·
The bride, Zion,
is married, and she has sons and daughters, Isa. 62.
·
The voice of the
bride awakens all ten virgins, Christ's Object Lessons, 406, with the
Loud Cry message.
·
Isaiah 62:11 is
the same call (in other words) as is the Midnight Cry and Loud Cry call of Christ's
Object Lessons, 406.
·
Christ will not
have to say to John the beloved: "Sorry John, you were born in the wrong
generation to be my bride!"
·
If all of the
above is not true, only the Christians of the final generation could be the
bride of Christ. Desire of Ages, 179, would thus be false in calling
the disciples the bride. Thus, Ellen White would be a false prophet on this
count as well.
·
The apostate SDA
new movement church makes no distinction between the bride of Christ and the
guests at the wedding. It teaches that ALL who are saved are the bride of
Christ. Then all should be able to go into the Temple on Mt. Zion--all should
be made pillars in that Temple, and that is not the case. Early Writings,
p. 19.
·
If all saved are
the bride of Christ, then how is it that ONLY the voice of God and the voice
of the bride awaken all ten virgins, Christ's Object Lessons, 405-6?
This distinguishes the voice of the bride from the 10 virgin guests the bride
awakens. This distinguishes the bride from her sons and daughters, Isaiah 62.
This distinguishes the bride in the following statement by Ellen White, which
accords with Isaiah 62:
"The people of God, symbolized by a holy woman and her children, were represented as
greatly in the minority. In the last days only a remnant still existed. Of
these John speaks as they 'which keep the commandments of God, and have the
testimony of Jesus Christ." E. G. White, Signs of the Times, Nov.
1, 1899, and Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary, vol. 7, p.
972.
One could say: The holy woman (mother--bride)
cannot be the children, and the children cannot be the holy woman
mother--bride. The woman is the bride and the children are guests at her
wedding, GC, 427. If guests, they cannot be the bride and the bride cannot be
the guests.
For
all of the above reasons, I believe a template of Ellen White's character and
the bride of every generation's character, will be alive and translated
without seeing death at Christ's second Advent. This way, Satan cannot say
that the bride of Christ would have fallen if she was tempted and tried
by his state of the art deceptions at the end-time. She will receive the
ultimate testing and will pass the test. It is her character that is tested,
just as Christ's character was tested in another body--His humanity body.
· Does your pastor teach you that
Laodicea is the final church that goes through to heaven? How would that
teaching coincide with Ellen White’s and the Bible’s definition of Laodiceans
and of the foolish virgins?
True Church Defined— “From the beginning, faithful
souls have constituted the church on earth.
In every age the Lord has had His watchmen, who have borne a faithful
testimony to the generation in which they lived. These sentinels gave the message of
warning; and when they were called to lay off their armor, others took up the
work. God brought these witnesses into
covenant relation with Himself, uniting the church on earth with the church
in heaven. He has sent forth His
angels to minister to His church, and the gates of hell have not been able to
prevail against His people.” E.G.
White, Acts of the Apostles, p. 11, 12.
The gates of hell will not prevail against
faithful souls--obviously.
"The state of the Church represented by the
foolish virgins, is also spoken of as the Laodicean state." E.G. White, Review and
Herald,

Did you get the full implication of the above
statement? If Laodicea is the foolish virgin state of the church and the
foolish virgins are not saved, how does Laodicea go through?!
"The church is in the Laodicean state. The presence of God is not in her midst."

who have borne a faithful testimony to the generation in which they
lived. These sentinels gave the message
of warning; and when they were called to lay off their armor, others took up
the work. God brought these witnesses
into covenant relation with Himself, uniting the church on earth with the
church in heaven. He has sent forth

The gates of hell will not prevail against
faithful souls--obviously.

I
fully agree with Ellen White's COL p. 75 statement that the tares dwell with
the wheat until the harvest, the end of probationary time. However, as I
said, it is the church of Ezekiel 20:34-38, the church triumphant, the
earthly representatives of the heavenly church, Heb. 12:22, 23, which
separates the wheat from the tares. Contrary to the belief of many
Adventists, the church triumphant has existed in the form of faithful men in
every generation. Philadelphia has been represented in every generation by a
group of "faithful men."
"The members of the church triumphant--the church
in heaven--will be permitted to draw near to the members of the church
militant, to aid them in their necessity." E. G. White, The Southern
Watchman, Sep. 8, 1903.
"I then saw the THIRD ANGEL. Said my
accompanying angel, 'Fearful is his work. Awful is his mission. He is the
angel that is to
select the wheat from the tares, and
seal, or bind, the wheat for the heavenly garner." E.G. White, Early Writings, 118.
"Verily I say unto you," Christ continued,
"whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and
whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Verse 18.
This statement holds its force in all ages. On the church has been conferred
the power to act in Christ's stead. It is God's instrumentality for the
preservation of order and discipline among His people. To it the Lord has
delegated the power to settle all questions respecting its prosperity,
purity, and order. Upon it rests the responsibility of excluding from its
fellowship those who are unworthy, who by their un-Christlike conduct would
bring dishonor on the truth. Whatever the church does that is in accordance
with the directions given in God's word will be ratified in heaven.” 7T 263.
Third Angel—“No one hears the voice of these
angels, for they are a symbol to represent the people of God who are working
in harmony with the universe of heaven.
Men and women, enlightened by the Spirit of God and sanctified through
the truth, proclaim the three messages in their order.” E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk.
2, p. 387.
Who is the THIRD ANGEL?
"The angel represented in prophecy as
delivering this message, symbolizes a class of faithful
men, who obedient to the
promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning
to the inhabitants of earth. This message WAS NOT to be committed to the
religious leaders of the people." E.G. White, The Spirit of
Prophecy,
Vol. 4, 199, 200.
The third angel is a class of faithful men who
give a straight testimony, shaking message, such as you are reading right
now! This message separates the wheat from open sinning thorns (not tares),
for the Bible says that thorns CHOKE OUT THE WHEAT AND KILL IT and that it is
IMPOSSIBLE to mature and remain or become pure amongst corrupt, apostate open
sinners. That demands separation when a church will not only reform or remove its open sinners
and what’s worse—when a church’s leadership is actually the ring-leaders in
apostasy.
“Those who have been regarded as worthy and
righteous prove to be ring-leaders in apostasy...” (Ellen G. White, Testimonies,
vol. 5, p. 212).
How has your pastor and your leaders fared by
this straight testimony test? Have you regarded as worthy and righteous those
who are actually ringleaders in apostasy?
Jer 23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter
the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.
Isa
9:16 For the leaders of this people
cause [them] to err; and [they that are] led of them [are] destroyed.
· Does your pastor teach you that
there will be only a little company who are standing in the light at the time
when the danger and depression of the church is greatest (the Sunday Law)?
Does he teach you that the little company stands in contradistinction to the
MEMBERS of the church who are doing after the manner of the world? Does he
teach you that if that little company were MEMBERS of the church they would
be doing after the manner of the world as well?! "The leaven of godliness has not entirely lost its power. At the
time when the danger and depression of the church are greatest, the little
company who are standing in the light will be sighing and crying for the
abominations that are done in the land. But MORE ESPECIALLY will their
prayers arise in behalf of the church because ITS MEMBERS are
doing after the manner of the world." Testimonies, Vol. 5, 209,
210.
The reason the little company prays for the
members of the church is because many of them will be new converts to the church
who are unaware of all the abominations imbibed by the new movement church.
We should pray for all members who do not know of the abominations, but not
for a new movement that has removed God, because God says He will hear no
such prayer.

your pastor teach you that Ellen White quoted Isaiah 58:10-12, and said that
the pastors are dumb-dogs who will “NEVER AGAIN” bark to show the House of
Jacob its sins?

Has
your pastor told you how the church can be reformed when they will NEVER
AGAIN point out the sins and abominations of the church because if they did
they would be ousted and their career for which they trained would be over?!

Has
your pastor taught you that open sin should be separated from the church and
how it differs from tares which can dwell with the wheat to the harvest?
"Christ has plainly taught that those who persist in open sin must be
separated from the church..." E. G. White, Christ's Object Lessons, 71.

"The
tares and the wheat are to grow together until the harvest and the harvest is
THE END OF PROBATIONARY TIME." Christ's Object Lessons, p. 72. Obviously, a tare is not an open sinner,
for they dwell with the wheat until the harvest. A tare is an insincere person
whose motives we would have to judge in order to uproot them, Christ’s
Object Lessons, p. 70-72.

Has
your pastor taught you your duty when a church will not separate open sinners
from its sheep fold? Has he taught you that if you remain in such a church
that you are corporately responsible for such open sins?

Has
your pastor taught God’s stated principle that it is impossible to unite with
the corrupt and abominable and become or remain pure? "It is IMPOSSIBLE
for you to unite with those who are corrupt, and still remain pure (II Corinthians 6:14-15 quoted). God
and Christ and the heavenly host would have men know that if he unites with the corrupt he will
become corrupt." E. G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 4, p.
137.
This statement (above) is also foolish,
superfluous and redundant, if we cannot judge what Ellen White brands as
corrupt. If judging corruptness is only idle and ill conceived criticism,
based on focusing on mere flaws, defects and weaknesses, then we should have
remained with Rome! If you choose to remain with the corrupt open sinners,
tell me how you are able to thwart God’s Word in II Cor. 6:14-15, and keep
from being corrupt yourself? Please tell me so I can join with you in your
corrupt new movement church that is professing to be the Noble Ship that goes
through to port heaven.
Standing Almost Alone
“Many professed Christians
look upon men who do not reprove and condemn wrong, as men of piety, and
Christians indeed, while men who stand boldly in the defense of right, and will
not yield their integrity to unconsecrated influences, they think lack piety
and a Christian spirit.” {RH, July
29, 1873 par. 25}
“Those who stand in defense of
the honor of God, and maintain the purity of truth at any cost, will have
manifold trials, as did our Saviour in the wilderness of temptation. The
yielding temperaments, who have not courage to condemn wrong, but keep silent
when their influence is needed to stand in the defense of right against any
pressure, may avoid many heartaches, and escape many perplexities, and lose a
very rich reward, if not their own souls.” {RH, July 29, 1873 par. 26}
“Those who in harmony with
God, and through faith in him, receive strength to resist wrong, and stand in
defense of the right, will always have severe conflicts, and will frequently
have to stand almost alone. But
precious victories will be theirs while they make God their dependence. His
grace will be their strength. Their moral sense will be keen, clear, and
sensitive. Their moral powers will be equal to withstand wrong influences.
Their integrity, like that of Moses, of the purest character. {RH, July 29, 1873 par. 27}
Are you having severe conflicts and do you find
yourself frequently standing almost alone?
The following words are by Jesus. Does your pastor
teach you these verses? These verses involve a very severe draught that all
faithful souls are going to have to drink to one degree or another if they
are saved:
Mat 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken
houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, [or
husband], or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an
hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
Mat 10:37
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and
he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Mat
10:38 And he that taketh not his
cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
Have you had to forsake houses, brethren, sisters,
father, mother, wife, husband, children, or lands for Christ’s name sake? Do
you love your father, mother, wife, husband, children, lands, houses,
brethren, sisters more than Christ and the truth? Do you seek temporal
“happiness” and “merriment” over the self-sacrificing life that Jesus and His
followers pursued? Did you know that Josephus says that there were huge
advantages to belonging to the Temple such as tax reliefs etc.? Jesus and His
followers had to forsake all those temporal advantages.
I could tell you some very tragic stories of many
individuals who have had to forsake one or all of the above in order to
follow Christ. Are you willing? The days for playing church are over! God is
now forcing all onto one side of the fence or the other. Which side do you
find yourself falling to?
How
you can earn a quick $10,000!
If you can prove to me that your
pastor warns you of all the above abominations in, of and by the church and
still retains his credentials, I will send you $10.000. The catch is that if
your pastor taught you a correct response to such apostasy, he would be
forced to teach you to separate from such an apostate church as Christ and
His followers did. If he should do that, he would be promptly removed!
We were never to join ANY NEW
MOVEMENT, and Satan knows that, so he came in and formed one “among” us and
the foolish, sleeping virgins are non-the-wiser!
PH086 - Special Testimony to
Battle Creek Church (1898)
The Lord Jesus demands that
every soul make a reality of truth. Show that you believe that you are not
half with Christ and half with the world. Of all such Christ says, "I
would thou wert cold or hot. So then, because thou art lukewarm, and neither
cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth." He who appreciates the
love of Christ, will be an earnest worker with Christ to bring other souls as
sheaves to the Master. Thorough work is always done by all who are connected
with Christ. They bear fruit to his glory. But indolence and carelessness and
frivolity separate the soul from Christ, and Satan comes in to work his will
with the poor worldly subject, We have a great truth, but through careless
indifference the truth has lost its force upon us. Satan has come in with his specious temptations, and
has led the professed followers of Christ away from their Leader, classing
them with the foolish virgins. {PH086
23.2}
Question: When did Satan
leave? When did the church cease to be Laodicean—the foolish virgin state?
All the church had to do to become the cage of every unclean and hateful bird
(language applied to Babylon, Rev. 18) is to remain Laodicean:
"If the church of God becomes LUKEWARM
[LAODICEAN] it does not stand in favor with God any more than do the churches that are represented as having
fallen and become the habitation of devils and the hold of every foul spirit
and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird. Those who have had
opportunities to hear and receive the truth, and who have united with the
Seventh-day Adventist church, calling themselves the commandment keeping
people of God, and yet possess no more vitality and consecration to God than
do the nominal churches, will receive of the plagues of God just as verily as
the churches who oppose the law of God." E.G. White, Letter 35, 1898.
No better than fallen Babylon! The church didn’t
have to teach Sunday observance or the other false doctrine of Babylon. All
it had to do is remain Laodicean and it does not stand in the favor of God any
more than the churches of fallen Babylon! Yet there are many sleeping and
foolish virgins who say that they will never leave the apostate church until
it teaches Sunday observance!
And how does the apostate church ever ascend
above the foolish virgin Laodicean state if it will NEVER AGAIN show the
house of Jacob its sins?
Begin at My Sanctuary—"Here we see that the
church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath
of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had
stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed
their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles
and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have
changed. These words strengthen their unbelief,
and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too
merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus 'Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's
people their transgressions and the
house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are
the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and
little children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211.
"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These
words will be literally
fulfilled yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to
humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the
Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed
to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual
experience. The time is short. God is calling will YOU hear? Will YOU receive
His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon,
every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and
Berkeley, September 26, 1909.)" E. G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260.
Separation a Duty
"In
the morning father visited the minister, stating my brother's request. He
said that he would visit him, and then if it was still his wish to be
considered no longer a member of their church, his request should be granted.
Just before the minister arrived my brother had a second hemorrhage, and
whispered his fears that he should not live to do this duty. The minister visited him, and he immediately
expressed his desire, and told him he could not die in peace until his name
was taken from the church-book; that he should not have united with them
again if he had been standing in the light....Soon after this my brother fell
asleep in Jesus, in full hope of having a part in the first
resurrection." E.G. White, Spiritual
Gifts, vol. 2, p 163-164.
There
is nothing written in the Bible or the Spirit of Prophecy that is not for our
edification. So this testimony has significance for us today! Removing our
names from the membership rolls of a church which has apostatized from God,
rejected and changed the truths of the three angels' messages into falsehood,
and has become Babylon fallen, is called "a
DUTY." And this duty was carried out before Ellen White's brother
had "full hope of having a part in the first resurrection"! Hence, there
is a duty to leave any church which has rejected the three angels' messages
in principle. And especially is this the case with the Seventh-day Adventist
church. What other church has had, and has rejected, greater light than the
SDA church? It is true that we are not saved by being members of a church,
but we can be lost by remaining members in a Babylonian one!
How
has the SDA church rejected the three angel’s messages in principle? By its
ecumenical involvement with Babylon. The second angel’s message combined with
the Midnight Cry of Matthew 25, called us out of Babylon. It is a violation
of the second angel’s message and the Midnight Cry to associate, counsel,
gird and/or confederate in any way with Babylon. We cannot call folk out of
Babylon while joining their associations (Ministerial Associations),
counselling with them in the form of taking ceding to their counsel to join
them, girding with them and/or confederating with them.
The
three angel’s messages have everything to do with warning against ecumenical
involvement with Babylon as the following statement asserts. The National
Reform movement was the ecumenical movement of the day when the statement was
penned:
"The peculiar work of the third angel has
not been seen in its importance. God meant that His people should be far in
advance of the position which they occupy today. But now, when the time has
come for them to spring into action, they have the preparation to make. When
the National Reformers [the title of
the ecumenical movement before it became the Federal Council of Churches in
1908, and then the World Council of Churches, in 1948] began to urge
measures to restrict religious liberty, our leading men should have been
alive to the situation and should have labored earnestly to counteract these
efforts. It is not in the order of God that light has been kept from our
people--the very present truth which they needed for this time. Not all our ministers who are giving the
third angel's message really understand what constitutes that message. The
National Reform [Ecumenical] movement has been regarded by some as of so
little importance that they have not thought it necessary to give much
attention to it and have even felt that in so doing they would be giving time
to questions distinct from the third angel's message [the Everlasting Gospel
of Revelation 14]. May the Lord forgive our brethren for thus interpreting
the very message for this time." E.G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 714, 715.
The
Sunday movement is now making its way in darkness. The leaders are concealing
the true issue, and many who unite in the movement do not themselves
see whither the undercurrent is tending. . . .They are working in
blindness. They do not see that if a Protestant government sacrifices the
principles that have made them a free, independent nation, and through
legislation brings into the Constitution principles that will propagate papal
falsehood and papal delusion, they are plunging into the Roman horrors of the
Dark Ages.--RH Extra, Dec. 11, 1888. {LDE 125.3}
Ecumenical—Ecumenism
SDA Encyclopedia on the Ecumenical
Movement—“On the
basis of Bible prophecy and the writings of Ellen G. White, SDA’s anticipate
the eventual success of the ecumenical movement, both in eliminating the divisions
of Protestantism and in reuniting Christendom by bridging the gulf that
separates non-Catholic communions from Rome.
The ecumenical movement will then become a concerted effort to unite
the world and to secure universal peace and security by enlisting the power
of civil government in a universal religio-political crusade to eliminate all
dissent. SDA’s envision this crusade
as the great apostasy to which John the revelator refers as “Babylon the
great.” They understand, also, that
God’s last message of mercy to the world prior to the return of Christ in
power and glory will consist of a warning against this great apostate
movement, and a call to all who choose
to remain loyal to Him to leave the churches connected with it. See Rev. 13:15-17; 14:6-11; 16:12-14;
17:1-6; 18:1-4; GC 444, 445, 573, 588, 589, 615.” SDA Encyclopedia, p. 411, and page 362 in some later editions.
All who choose to remain loyal to God are now
called to leave all churches connected with the ecumenical movement and it
can be proven beyond a particle of a doubt that the SDA church is so
connected.
I
have a book published by the World Council of Churches, entitled Directory of Christian Councils, which
says that SDA's are FULL MEMBERS
in five different countries of the world, and associate MEMBERS in a number
of other countries of the world. On the last page, 244, it says that SDA's are in WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH
THE WCC. A working relationship is more than observer status! Thus, the
church has lied by saying over and over is has only "observer
status," and not membership. The Adventist Review stated in the
latter 1980's that it had been a MEMBER of the Hungarian Council of Free
Churches for over 30 years. That MEMBERSHIP was protested by 1500 members of
the SDA church in Hungary. They had more integrity than SDA's anywhere else
in the world! They knew that such liaison was forbidden by the Word. They
were kept at bay from entrance to their churches on Sabbath mornings by body
guards placed at all entrances.
Neal
C. Wilson, the GC Pres. at the time, told them that it would have been better
if the church had not become MEMBERS, but since it had, they should make the
best of it! There are countries in the world where church operation ABOVE
GROUND is prohibited without MEMBERSHIP in the WCC.
In
all truthfulness, this is like saying that it would have been better to obey
God, but since we have committed unpardonable sin by violating Isaiah 8:9-16,
we may as well make the best of it and play out our apostasy to the bitter
end!
“The divine Sower scattered grains of
precious seed, which we cannot see until a skillful laborer, under the
guidance of the Holy Spirit, gathers them together and presents them to us as
a complete system of truth, unfolding the depths of divine love. For all ages
Jesus, the author of truth, through prophets and people, had presented truth
upon truth to the Jews, from the pillar of cloud and fire. But the truth He had given had become
mingled with error, and it was necessary to separate from the companionship
of heresy and evil. It was necessary to readjust it in the framework of
the gospel, in order that it might shine forth in its original luster and
illuminate the moral darkness of the world. Wherever He found a gem of truth
that had been lost from its setting, or had been marred with error, He reset
it, and stamped upon it the signature of Jehovah. He proved Himself to be the
word and the wisdom of God. {LHU 259.4}
Were any of the following separations
because the Jews taught Sunday observance?
“Christ
was a protestant. He protested against the formal worship of the Jewish
nation, who rejected the counsel of God against themselves. He told them that
they taught for doctrines the commandments of men, and that they were
pretenders and hypocrites. Like whited sepulchers they were beautiful
without, but within full of impurity and corruption. The Reformers date back to Christ and the apostles. They came out
and separated themselves from a religion of forms and ceremonies. Luther
and his followers did not invent the reformed religion. They simply accepted
it as presented by Christ and the apostles. The Bible is presented to us as a
sufficient guide; but the pope and his workers remove it from the people as
if it were a curse, because it exposes their pretensions and rebukes their
idolatry. {RH, June 1, 1886 par. 14}
When
a corporate church engages in apostasy and will not put it away and out of
the camp, the faithful must leave or be corporately responsible. This is the
reason Christ and His disciples left. This is why Paul left. This is why
Protestants left Rome. This is why Adventists left the other churches in
1844, when they would not tolerate light.
Jesus Left
"Christ was a protestant...The
Reformers date back to Christ and the apostles. They came out and separated
themselves from a religion of forms and ceremonies. Luther and his followers
did not invent the reformed religion. They simply accepted it as presented by
Christ and the apostles." E.G. White, Review and Herald, vol. 2, 48, col. 2.
Paul Left
"And
as they persisted in their rejection of the gospel the apostle (Paul) went
into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space for three months,
disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God. But when divers
were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the
multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing
daily in the school of one Tyrannus." Acts, 19:8, 9.
"Fearing that the faith of the
believers would be endangered by continued association with these opposers of
the truth, Paul separated from them,
and gathered the disciples into a distinct body." E.G. White, Acts of the Apostles, p. 286.
"The recreant priests added
licentiousness to the dark catalogue of their crimes yet they still polluted
by their presence the tabernacle of the Lord, and, laden with sin, dared to
come into the presence of a holy God. As the men of Israel witnessed the
corrupt course of the priests, they thought it safer for their families not
to come up to the appointed place of worship. Many went from Shiloh with
their peace disturbed, their indignation aroused, until they at last
determined to offer their sacrifices themselves, concluding that this would
be fully as acceptable to God, as to sanction in any manner the abominations

"The Sanhedrin had rejected Christ's
message and was bent upon His death therefore Jesus departed from Jerusalem,
from the priests, the temple, the religious leaders, the people who had been
instructed in the law, and turned to another class to proclaim His message,
and to gather out those who should carry the gospel to all nations.
As
the light and life of men was rejected by the ecclesiastical authorities in
the days of Christ, so it has been rejected in every succeeding generation.
Again and again the history of Christ's withdrawal from Judea has been
repeated. When the Reformers preached the word of God, they had no thought of
separating themselves from the established church but the religious leaders
would not tolerate the light, and those that bore it were forced to seek
another class, who were longing for the truth. In our day few of the professed
followers of the Reformers are actuated by their spirit. Few are listening
for the voice of God, and ready to accept truth in whatever guise it may be
presented. Often those who follow in the steps of the Reformers are forced to
turn away from the churches they love, in order to declare the plain teaching
of the word of God. And many times those who are seeking for light are by the
same teaching obliged to leave the church of their fathers, that they may

“Character must be made. It is the work
of a lifetime. It is a work requiring meditation and thought. Judgment must
be well exercised, industry and perseverance established. . . . You may be
encouraged by others in your work, but they can never do your work of
overcoming temptation. You cannot be honest and truthful, industrious and
virtuous for them, neither can they become thus for you. In one sense you must stand alone, fighting your own battles. Yet not
alone, for you have Jesus and the angels of God to help you. But few
reach what they might in excellence of character, because they do not make
their aim high. Prosperity and happiness will never grow of their own accord.
They are the acquisition of labor, the fruit of long cultivation.--Letter 22,
