SDA Bible Commentary Teaches Another Coming Out of the Professing Seventh-day Adventist Church!

Dear Reader,

The following is a typical current day voicing from the non-discerning false prophets in the apostate professing Seventh-day Adventist Church. The following commentary appeared on an SDA Internet chat group, July, 5, 2005. I will let the person remain nameless since that is not important:

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (Rev 18:4)

In Revelation 17, Babylon is represented as a woman, a figure which is used in the Scriptures as the symbol of a church. A virtuous woman represents a pure church, a vile woman an apostate church. Babylon is said to be a harlot; and the prophet beheld her drunken with the blood of saints and martyrs. The Babylon thus described represents Rome, that apostate church which has so cruelly persecuted the followers of Christ. But Babylon the harlot is the mother of daughters who follow her example of corruption. Thus are represented those churches that cling to the doctrines and traditions of Rome and follow her worldly practices, and whose fall is announced in the second angel's message. {4SP 233.1}

The SDA Church does not cling to the doctrines and traditions of Rome and it is not drunken with the blood of saints and martyrs.

The great sin charged against Babylon is, that she "made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication." {4SP 235.1}

Since the above conditions do not apply to the SDA Church; there is no call to "Come out of her"

Ron Beaulieu's response: Strangely, the person who posted the above statements, is a strong advocate of law-keeping and obedience. He also posted the following E.G. White statement in another posting:

"God's law is given to men as a hedge, a shield. Whoever accepts its principles is preserved from evil." Education, p. 76-77.

What the individual in mention cannot seem to grasp is repeated admonitions that violation of Isaiah 8:9-20 is breaking all of God's commandments, because if we break one, in principle, we break them all. This individual has admitted that there is now tangible evidence that the SDA church in ecumenically involved. I presented that evidence on this Website.

There is another coming out from the apostate SDA church for the following reasons:

  • There was a call to come out from apostate Judaism in the A.D. 70 PREFIGURE of Ezekiel 9--the Destruction of Jerusalem. Ellen White said there is to be another LITERAL fulfillment of that prophecy. Notice:

"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled; yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling; will YOU hear? Will YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley, September 26, 1909.)" E. G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260.

Another literal fulfillment demands a coming out from apostate spiritual Jerusalem in the antitypical fulfillment of Ezekiel 9. The last fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, was the Destruction of Jerusalem, A.D. 70. In that fulfillment there was a coming out from Apostate Jerusalem, the Jewish organized church. In Great Controversy, p. 25, Ellen White called that fulfillment a PREFIGURE. That means TYPE, and that demands an ANTITYPE. That destruction symbolized the destruction of the world at the end-time, but Ellen White says it BEGINS at His Sanctuary, the church, the House of Jacob, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211. Notice that she begins the chapter on p. 207, by quoting Ezekiel 9.

  • If Isaiah 4:1-4, which is of end-time context, is resolved with Isaiah 37:31, 32, Isaiah supports Ezekiel in teaching another coming out from all formally organized churches who are in apostasy. All Bible commentaries and common sense interpretation, dictate that Isaiah chapters 1-4 are of end-time context, making Isaiah 37:31, 32 apropos for the final people of God.
  • We must look at the reasons Christ and His followers have come out of the formally organized churches in every succeeding generation since Christ:
  • "Christ was a protestant...The Reformers date back to Christ and the apostles. They came out and separated themselves from a religion of forms and ceremonies. Luther and his followers did not invent the reformed religion. They simply accepted it as presented by Christ and the apostles." E.G. White, Review and Herald, vol. 2, 48, col. 2.

"The Sanhedrin had rejected Christ's message and was bent upon His death; therefore Jesus departed from Jerusalem, from the priests, the temple, the religious leaders, the people who had been instructed in the law, and turned to another class to proclaim His message, and to gather out those who should carry the gospel to all nations.

As the light and life of men was rejected by the ecclesiastical authorities in the days of Christ, so it has been rejected in every succeeding generation. Again and again the history of Christ's withdrawal from Judea has been repeated. When the Reformers preached the word of God, they had no thought of separating themselves from the established church; but the religious leaders would not tolerate the light, and those that bore it were forced to seek another class, who were longing for the truth. In our day few of the professed followers of the Reformers are actuated by their spirit. Few are listening for the voice of God, and ready to accept truth in whatever guise it may be presented. Often those who follow in the steps of the Reformers are forced to turn away from the churches they love, in order to declare the plain teaching of the word of God. And many times those who are seeking for light are by the same teaching obliged to leave the church of their fathers, that they may render obedience." E.G. White, Desire of Ages, 232.

According to the above statement, why did the Reformers come out of the churches of their fathers? Because the leaders refused the light. SDA leaders are refusing the light of the three angel's messages concerning ecumenical involvement. Those messages called us out of Babylon, and to fraternize with and join Babylon's ASSOCIATIONS, COUNCILS AND CONFEDERACIES, as the apostate SDA church has done, is a violation of the three angel's messages, and the serious commands of Isaiah 8:9-20.

There are those who admit that the church is ecumenically involved. They have seen the proof, but will not heed Biblical instruction regarding that serious violation of the three angel's messages. Therefore, they violate God's Personal Instruction in Isaiah 8:9-10, and will be broken in pieces for that violation.

  • Babylonian doctrines are not the only reason for leaving an apostate church. The Jews did not teach those doctrines nor imbibe the practices of Rome, but yet they were dubbed the Synagogue of Satan by Christ.
  • "Thorns sprung up.--The thorns made it impossible for the wheat to mature (see Luke 8:14). In the same way secular interest prevent the fruits of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22, 23) from reaching maturity. Religion is relegated to the subordinate position of being only one interest among many. For lack of cultivation it withers and eventually dies. That which the thorny-ground hearers lack is a moral transformation (COL 50). To them, justification is the sum and substance of religion, and they fail to realize that the Christian life consists essentially in the process known as sanctification--the process by which evil traits and tendencies are replaced by the perfect life-pattern of Jesus Christ." SDA Bible Commentary, vol. 5, 405.

Both Ellen White and Scripture say that thorns, open sinners, will choke out the wheat, making it impossible for the wheat to mature. Thorns are not tares. Tares are defined by Ellen White as insincere believers whose motives we would have to judge in order to remove them from the church. Thorns are open sinners and Ellen White clearly stated that open sin should be removed from the church, but that is not happening, so the thorns are affecting the wheat and will choke it out, making it impossible for the wheat to mature in such an environment.

  • SDA Bible Commentary Says There Will be a Call to Come Out From All Churches Connected With the Ecumenical Movement

When the church still had a bastion of a few good men left, circa 1957 when the SDA Bible Commentary was first published, amazingly it stated:

"On the basis of Bible prophecy and the writings of Ellen G. White, SDA's anticipate the eventual success of the ecumenical movement, both in eliminating the divisions of Protestantism and in reuniting Christendom by bridging the gulf that separates non-Catholic communions from Rome. The ecumenical movement will then become a concerted effort to unite the world and to secure universal peace and security by enlisting the power of civil government in a universal religio-political crusade to eliminate all dissent. SDA's envision this crusade as the great apostasy to which John the revelator refers as 'Babylon the great.' They understand, also, that God's last message of mercy to the world prior to the return of Christ in power and glory will consist of a warning against this great apostate movement, and a call to all who choose to remain loyal to Him to leave the churches connected with it. See Rev 13:15-17; 14:6-11; 16:12-14; 17:1-6; 18:1-4; GC 444, 445, 573, 588, 589, 615." SDA Bible Commentary (Encyclopedia) Vol. 10, p. 410. (This quote is found on pp. 362-3 in some editions of the SDA Encyclopedia, which is Vol. 10 of the Bible Commentary series. You might have a newer edition with different pagination because of additions to the Encyclopedia. But if you will look under ECUMENISM, you should find the quote. My edition was copyrighted in 1976).

The above statement attests to the principle of corporate responsibility and that is why one must come out from ANY linkage to Babylon by ANY linkage to ANY organization that is linked to Babylon! The second angel's message is proof of the principle of corporate responsibility!

Friend of mine, SDA's received the call out of any connection with Babylon in 1844. They were given the commission to call others out from any linkage with Babylon. Now they are in violation of that call themselves by being linked to Babylon's ecumencial movement. See the following link on this Website:

https://members.tripod.com/omega77/sdanccproof.htm

Those who have the commission of the three angel's messages, can NEVER be linked in any way with Babylon's ecumenical movement, because it is a direct violation of the second angel's message. The bride of Christ is not defiled with women (fallen churches), Revelation 14:1-4. To be linked in any way with Babylon, after being called out from it, is defiling and a violation of the second angel's message. One cannot call folk out of Babylon while being linked to it him/herself.

Unfortunately, there are some with such a void of spiritual discernment that they cannot see that any linkage with Babylon's ecumenical crusade, after being called out of it, violates the second angel's message. They are foolish virgins. Ellen White said they are in a stupor. It should not take much spiritual discernment to see that if the church is involved ecumenically, it is in violation of the second angel's message, and God's instruction in Isaiah 8:9-20, and that any true Seventh-day Adventist cannot be so united AT ANY TIME AFTER COMING OUT OF BABYLON.

Any linkage to Babylon, makes one part of Babylon whether or not he/she vocally or in print supports her doctrines. This is truth, and this is truth the New Movement church, professing to be Seventh-day Adventist, violates. Recall that true reformers left the ecclesiastical controlled churches in every succeeding generation since Christ, for one reason, per Desire of Ages, p. 232--those ecclesiastical leaders would not accept the truth taught by the reformers. SDA's leaders are rejecting the truth you have just read. They are rejecting the second angel's message which called Adventists out from any linkage with Babylon
