My
Vision on Daniel and Revelation
Mysteries
Part 1
November
13, 2011
In the
night season of this November 13, I asked the Lord to solve some important
questions that have lately come to issue in my mind. This vision documents the
end-time interpretations that the Lord showed me in vision during the quiet of
the deep night hours. These interpretations do not, and are not meant to
deprecate the historic views in the least measure.
Revelation 11 and Daniel 8
1And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise,
and
measure
the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. Rev. 11:1.
Judgment (measuring) begins at the House of God.
Ezekiel 9 begins literally at the House of Jacob, His sanctuary, the professing
SDA church, at the end of the 1290 day until day 1335. This is done in the
sight of the nations—Ezekiel chapter 5.
2But the court
which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto
the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two
months. Rev. 11:2.
God`s professing ``chosen`` people,
Seventh-day Adventists, will be measured (Judged) first by receiving the Ezekiel
9 warning first, after the Sunday Law, just as Christ`s disciple`s were to go
to the Jews first. The once holy city,
literal Jerusalem, will be trodden under by Gentiles for forty and two months.
The pope will sit on the Holy site where Herod’s Temple once stood. He and his
entourage are considered Gentiles. This will be another facet of the
abomination of desolation sitting in the Holy Place.

13Then I heard one saint speaking, and another
saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision
concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both
the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? Daniel 8:13.
The once true Sanctuary and the once true host
at the end of the indignation (Daniel
8:17, 19) is represented by modern-day spiritual Israel, professing
Seventh-day Adventism.
17So he came near where I stood: and when he
came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O
son of man: for at the time of the end
shall be the vision. Daniel 8:17.
19And
he said, Behold, I will make thee know what
shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the
end shall be. Daniel 8:19.
14And he said unto me, Unto two thousand
and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed. Daniel 8:14.
The Sanctuary cannot be cleansed until the
2300 days is finished and this literal 2300 days ends commensurate with the end
of the final 42 month (three and one-half) year period. This in no way predicts
the time that Jesus comes because He will announce that and no one knows when
and what time He will announce for His coming.
Revelation
11:3-19
3And I will give power unto
my two witnesses (the Old and New Testament), and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred
and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth (under duress).
This 1260 day time frame is the first 1260 day
period during which the gospel warning goes to all the world—first to SDA`s who
have committed grave apostasies, and then to the world. The second three and
one-half year period is a time of trial and testing—drinking of the cup for the
144,000.
4These are the two olive
trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
Note:
The Two Olive Trees and the Two Candlesticks
“The two classes of watchers represent the two
classes who profess to be waiting for their Lord. They are called virgins
because they profess a pure faith. By the lamps is
represented the word of God. The psalmist says, “Thy word is a lamp unto my
feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105. The
oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit. Thus the Spirit is represented in the
prophecy of Zechariah. “The angel that talked with me came again,” he says, “and waked
me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep, and said unto me, What seest
thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a
bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the
seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof; and two olive trees by it, one upon the right
side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof. So I answered
and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?
... Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord
unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith
the Lord of hosts.... And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these
two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out
of themselves? ... Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by
the Lord of the whole earth.” Zechariah 4:1-14. {COL 406.3}
“From the two olive trees the golden oil was
emptied through the golden pipes into the bowl of the candlestick, and thence
into the golden lamps that gave light to the sanctuary. So from the
holy ones that stand in God’s presence His Spirit is imparted to the human
instrumentalities who are consecrated to His service. The mission of the two
anointed ones is to communicate to God’s people that heavenly grace which alone
can make His word a lamp to the feet and a light to the path. “Not by might,
nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6.
{COL 408.1}
Revelation 11 (Cont)
5And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth
out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them,
he must in this manner be killed.
The 144,000 bride kills no one. The fire is
the Holy Spirit power which has power to devour our enemies with truth they
cannot gainsay. Those who would do us harm will not be able to prove our
message wrong. By this symbolism their witness against us is effectually (but
symbolically) killed.
6These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in
the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite
the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
It is the bride alone that has this power
given her by the Holy Spirit.
7And when they shall have
finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make
war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
The testimony of the two witnesses, the Old
and New Testament and those who witness them to the world, is finished at the
end of the first 3 ½ year period, or the little time of Jacob’s trouble, before
the abomination of desolation power is seated per Daniel 12:11, 12. It is then
that Satan works through the antichrist and kills the faithful martyrs and
Ellen White said there will be many martyrs, to wit:
Many Will Be Put to Death [Many Martyrs]
“The best thing for us is to come into
close connection with God and, if He would have us be martyrs for the truth's
sake, it may be the means of bringing many more into the truth.”--3SM 420 (1886). {LDE 149.5}
“Many will be imprisoned, many will flee
for their lives from cities and towns, and
many will be martyrs for Christ's sake in standing in defense of the truth.”--3SM 397 (1889). {LDE 150.1}
“There is a prospect before us of a continued
struggle, at the risk of imprisonment, loss of property and even of life itself, to defend the law of God.”--5T 712 (1889). {LDE 150.2}
“Men will be required to render obedience
to human edicts in violation of the divine law. Those who are true to God will
be menaced, denounced, proscribed. They will be "betrayed both by parents,
and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends," even unto death.”--PK 588 (c.
1914). {LDE 150.3}
“In some cases, BEFORE the time specified in the decree, enemies will rush
upon the waiting ones to put them to death.”
E.G. White, The 1884 edition of The Great Controversy, p. 447.
“We are not to have the courage and
fortitude of martyrs of old until brought into the position they were in. . . .
Should there be a return of persecution there would be grace given to arouse every energy of the soul to show a true heroism.”--OHC 125
(1889). {LDE 150.4}
“The disciples were not endowed with the
courage and fortitude of the martyrs until such grace was needed.”--DA 354
(1898). {LDE 150.5}
How to Stand Firm Under Persecution
“We shall find that we must let loose of
all hands except the hand of Jesus Christ. Friends will prove treacherous and
will betray us. Relatives, deceived by the enemy, will think they do God
service in opposing us and putting forth the utmost efforts to bring us into
hard places, hoping we will deny our faith. But we may trust our hand in the
hand of Christ amid darkness and peril.”--Mar 197 (1889). {LDE 150.6}
“The only way in which men will be able
to stand firm in the conflict is to be rooted and grounded in Christ. They
must receive the truth as it is in Jesus. And it is only as the truth is
presented thus that it can meet the wants of the soul. The preaching of Christ
crucified, Christ our righteousness, is what satisfies the soul's hunger.
When we secure the interest of the people in this great central truth, faith
and hope and courage come to the heart.”--GCDB Jan. 28, 1893. {LDE 151.1}
“Many, because of their faith, will be cut
off from house and heritage here, but if they will give their hearts to Christ,
receiving the message of His grace, and resting upon their Substitute and
Surety, even the Son of God, they may still be filled with joy.”--ST June 2, 1898.
{LDE 151.2}
Persecution Scatters God's People
“As enmity is aroused in various places
against those who observe the Sabbath of the Lord, it may become necessary for God's people to move from those places to
places where they will not be so bitterly opposed.” {LDE 151.3}
“God
does not require His children to remain where, by the course of wicked men,
their influence is made of no effect and their lives endangered. When
liberty and life are imperiled it is not merely our privilege, it is our
positive duty to go to places where the people are willing to hear the Word of
life and where the opportunities for preaching the Word will be more
favorable.”--Ms 26, 1904. {LDE 151.4}
“The time is soon coming when God's
people, because of persecution, will be scattered in many countries. Those who
have received an all-round education will have the advantage where they are.”--5MR 280 (1908). {LDE 152.1}
Every faithful Christian who is saved, except
for the 144,000, will be martyred. The beast ascends out of the pit of hell at
the end of the first three and one-half year period and begins to kill these
Christians from day 1290 until day 1335.
8And their dead bodies shall lie in the street
of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our
Lord was crucified.
9And they of the people and
kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer
their dead bodies to be put in graves.
Compare: “What we have seen and heard of the
pestilence, is but the beginning of what we shall see and hear. Soon the dead and dying
will be all around us. I saw that some will be so hardened, as to even make sport of the
judgments of God. Then the slain
of the Lord will be from one end of the earth, to the other; they will not be
lamented, gathered, nor buried; but their ill savor will come up from the face
of the whole earth. Those only who have the seal of the living God,
will be sheltered from the storm of wrath, that will soon fall on the heads of
those who have rejected the truth.” {RH, September 1, 1849 par. 10} In Hope, E. G. White.
{RH, September 1, 1849 par. 11}
Question: Are the dead from the historic
application still lying around the earth unburied?
Repeated for
continuity: 9And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations
shall see their dead bodies three days and an
half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
Referencing the word “days” in the above verse,
I asked the Lord to show me the correct end-time application of this word as it
appears in Revelation 11:9, 11. I was led to the following remarkable
discovery:
“of the last day of
this present age, the day Christ will return from heaven, raise the dead, hold
the final judgment, and perfect his kingdom”
For the above definition go to the following
link and click on the word “days” in Revelation 11:9 and 11.

11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of
life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear
fell upon them which saw them.
The above verse describes the resurrection relative
to the following definition #3 and #4 of the word “days” in Revelation 11:9
and 11.
It will be seen from the following definition #3,
that the three days and an half in verse 11 refers to
“the last day of this present age, the day
Christ will return from heaven, raise the dead, hold the final judgment, and
perfect his kingdom.”
In what way does the word “days” refer to the last
day of this present age in a way that is relative to: “the last day of
this present age, the day Christ will return from heaven, raise the dead, hold
the final judgment, and perfect his kingdom.”

1. the
day, used of the natural day, or the interval between sunrise and sunset, as
distinguished from and contrasted with the night
A. in the daytime
B. metaph., "the day" is
regarded as the time for abstaining from indulgence, vice, crime, because acts
of the sort are perpetrated at night and in darkness
2. of the civil day, or the space
of twenty four hours (thus including the night)
A. Eastern usage of this term
differs from our western usage. Any part of a day is counted as a whole day,
hence the expression "three days and three nights" does not mean
literally three whole days, but at least one whole day plus part of two other
days.
3. of the last day of
this present age, the day Christ will return from heaven, raise the dead, hold
the final judgment, and perfect his kingdom
4. used of time in general, i.e. the days of his
life.

The only way the word “days” in Revlelation
11 verses 9 and 11, refers and is relative to “the last day of this present
age, the day Christ will return from heaven, raise the dead, hold the final
judgment, and perfect his kingdom” is defined in the following verses of
Revelation 11. These final verses of the chapter are strictly end-time in
context and of “THE LAST DAY” VINTAGE:
11And after
three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they
stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
·
The spirit of life from God enters into the dead bodies. (This
is the resurrection).
·
The dead bodies stand on their feet.
·
Great fear fall upon all who see them resurrected and rise to
their feet.
12And they heard a great voice from heaven
saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud;
and their enemies beheld them.
·
The enemies of God’s resurrected martyrs watch them ascend into
heaven. The righteous of all ages are translated to heaven. None of the above
occurred in the historic interpretation of the 3 ½ days prophecy of Revelation
11:9, 11, but this does occur as part of “THE LAST DAY” of this present age,
which is one of the definitions of “DAYS” in the 3 ½ day prophecy of Revelation
11:9, 12.
13And the same hour was there a great
earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and
in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were
affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
·
The above verse did not occur in the historic fulfillment of the
3 ½ days (of prophetic day for a year time) interpretation of Revelation 11:9,
11, but it does occur as part of THE LAST DAY of this present age, which is one
of the definitions of “DAYS” in the 3 ½ day prophecy of Revelation 11:9, 12.
14The second woe is past; and,
behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
15And the seventh angel sounded; and there were
great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this
world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall
reign for ever and ever.
16And the four and twenty elders, which sat
before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
17Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God
Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come;
because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
18And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is
come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and
to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
19And the temple of God was opened in heaven,
and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake,
and great hail.
·
The above verses (16-19) did not occur in the historic
fulfillment of the 3 ½ days (of prophetic day for a year time) interpretation
of Revelation 11:9, 11, but they do occur as part of THE LAST DAY of this
present age, which is one of the definitions of “DAYS” in the 3 ½ day prophecy
of Revelation 11:9, 12.
Again for emphasis: In the historic
version the following issues/verses (Rev. 11:11-19) relative to the LAST DAY
were never addressed:
11And after three days and an half the spirit
of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great
fear fell upon them which saw them.
12And they heard a great voice from heaven
saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud;
and their enemies beheld them.
13And the same hour was there a great
earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and
in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were
affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14The second woe is past;
and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
15And the seventh angel sounded; and there were
great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this
world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall
reign for ever and ever.
16And the four and twenty elders, which sat
before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
17Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God
Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come;
because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
The
Lord showed me in vision that the wording of Revelation 11:9, 11, regarding the
3 ½ days must be interpreted as time, times and a half, for that is what they
refer to—the final 3 ½ year period (42 months) of this earth’s history relative
to the events of “THE LAST DAY.” the Lord proves it for all to see by the
third definition of the word “days” in Rev. 11:9, 11. A time, times and a half
is what those verses must mean when interpreted to coincide with the events of
“THE LAST DAY.” Those 3 ½ days must be
related to “THE LAST DAY” definition of the word “days” occurring in Revelation
11:9, 11--of this earth’s history and the events of that time frame. Other
interpretation as applied in the historic view is just another facet that is
fully true as well. Remember the following admonition given us by the gift of
the Holy Spirit to the church:
“To say that a passage means just this and
nothing more, that you must not attach any broader meaning to the words of
Christ than we have in the past, is saying that which is not actuated by the
Spirit of God.” E.G. White, Review and
Herald, October 21, 1890.
Why
the 3 ½ Days of Revelation 11:9, 11 Cannot be Literal
Days at the End-time
Those 3 ½ days cannot be literal for the
following reasons:
1.
They begin immediately after the testimony of the faithful is
finished; when the gospel has gone to all the world,
which is at the end of the first 3 ½ years of time.
2.
Ellen White says that there are no martyrs after probation
closes, and probation closes with the outpouring of the first of the seven
plagues. Martyrs would serve no purpose, says she, after probation has closed.
3.
It is immediately after the two witnesses and those who witness
them to the world finish their testimony that the beast power enforces the
National Sunday Law and enforces a death penalty for violation of that law.
4.
Those faithful who come to the 1335th day after the initial
legislation (not enforcement) of the National Sunday Law, will know that they
are the 144,000 and will not be killed. The martyrdom will be conducted from
day 1290-1335. The Ezekiel 9 slaughter of apostate Adventism BEGINNING AT HIS SANCTUARY, will occur during that time frame. The
manifestation of Ezekiel 9 upon Babylon and the world, per the second of the
twofold meaning of Christ’s words to His disciples (GC, p. 25—the terrors of
the last great day upon the world) is the timeframe depicted in The Great
Controversy, pp. 653-656. The last paragraph on p. 653 says that it is BABYLON
that is ripe for destruction. Ezekiel chapter 5, has Jerusalem (the SDA church
in the end-time application) being destroyed as a taunt and as an instruction
to the nations. This would not accrue if all were going down together in an
Ezekiel 9 slaughter debacle. Judgment begins FIRST at the House of God, HIS
SANCTUARY, for her apostasy.
In the historic interpretation pertaining to the two witnesses,
Ellen White defines the time period as 42 months or 1,260 days.
"Said the angel of the Lord: “The holy city [the true church] shall they
tread under foot forty and two months. And I will give power unto my two witnesses,
and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in
sackcloth....And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that
ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall
overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great
city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was
crucified.... And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and
make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets
tormented them that dwelt on the earth. And after three days and a half the
Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and
great fear fell upon them which saw them.” [Revelation 11:2-11.] {GC88 266.1}
“The periods here mentioned—“forty and two months,” and “a
thousand two hundred and threescore days”—are the same, alike representing the
time in which the church of Christ was to suffer oppression from Rome. The 1260
years of papal supremacy began with the establishment of the papacy in A. D.
538, and would therefore terminate in 1798. At that time a French army entered
Rome, and made the pope a prisoner, and he died in exile. Though a new pope was
soon afterward elected, the papal hierarchy has never since been able to wield
the power which it before possessed.” {GC88 266.2}
By the end of the final 3 ½ year period, the
antichrist will have thoroughly scattered the power of the holy people, the
144,000; they will have been purged and purified by drinking their portion of
the cup of trial, and all things will be finished.
Revelation 11
(Cont)
10And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice
over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two
prophets [Old and New Testament] tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
11And after three days and an half the spirit of
life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear
fell upon them which saw them.
Question: Did the spirit of life enter the dead in
the historic application? Did they rise from the dead, stand upon their feet,
so that great fear fell upon them which saw them do this? Nay
friend, Nay. So the historic application was a very partial and
secondary one.
12And they heard a great voice from heaven saying
unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their
enemies beheld them.
Question: Did all who died in the historic
application ascend to heaven as their enemies behold them?
13And the same hour was there a great earthquake,
and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the
earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted,
and gave glory to the God of heaven.
Question: Did this earthquake killing seven
thousand occur in the historic application? Not that I know of.
14The second woe is past; and,
behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
15And the seventh angel sounded; and there were
great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this
world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall
reign for ever and ever.
Question: Was the above verse fulfilled in the
historic application of Revelation 11? Nay.
16And the four and twenty elders, which sat before
God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
17Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God Almighty,
which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou
hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
18And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is
come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and
to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
Question: Did the above occur in the historic
application? No.
19And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and
there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake,
and great hail.
Question: Is the above verse very end-time in
context? Yes.
Daniel 12 (KJV)
1And at that
time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which
standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble,
such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that
time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in
the book.
Questions: Has the time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation (Matthew 24) occurred yet? Has
Michael (Christ) stood up yet? No.
Note: Christ (Michael) stands up at the beginning
of the great time of Jacob’s trouble that comes upon the entire world (Rev.
3:10-12).
2And many of
them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life,
and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3And they
that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the
firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
4But thou, O
Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many
shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
5Then I
Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the
bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
6And one
said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
7And I heard
the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held
up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half;
and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people,
all these things shall be finished.
Note: The man clothed in linen is Christ. The time
span after Michael (Christ) stands up is three and a half years or 42 months.
During that time, the Holy people, the 144,000, are scattered into the
wildernesses of the world, Ezekiel 20:34-38. They go through a 3 ½ year purging
and cleansing. They are tested by drinking a small portion of the same cup of
woe Christ tasted for 3 ½ years, but not near the degree He endured, for He had
all the sins of all men laid upon Him. Daniel 8:7 is the same time period mentioned
in Revelation 13:1-5, which occurs after the wound is fully healed and the
abomination of desolation is set up in the once Most Holy Place in Jerusalem.
Question: When the abomination is seated, we are to
flee to the most solitary places. Can we travel from those places to the cities
to warn them during that time? How can we travel when we cannot buy or sell?
“Soon after they had commenced their earnest cry,
the angels, in sympathy, would have gone to their deliverance. But a tall,
commanding angel suffered them not. Said he: “The will of God
is not yet fulfilled. They must drink of the cup. They must be baptized
with the baptism. {CCh 340.3}
“Soon I heard the voice of God which shook the
heavens and the earth. [See Joel 3:16; Hebrews 12:26; and Revelation 16:17.]
There was a mighty earthquake. Buildings were shaken down, and fell on every
side. I then heard a triumphant shout of victory, loud, musical, and clear. I
looked upon this company, who, a short time before, were in such distress and
bondage. Their captivity was turned. A glorious light shone upon them. How
beautiful they then looked! All weariness and marks of care were gone; health
and beauty were seen in every countenance. Their enemies, the heathen around
them, fell like dead men. They could not endure the light that shone upon the
delivered, holy ones. This light and glory remained upon them until Jesus was
seen in the clouds of heaven, and the faithful, tried company were changed in a
moment, in the twinkling of an eye, from glory to glory. The graves were opened
and the saints came forth, clothed with immortality, crying: “Victory over
death and the grave!” and together with the living saints they were caught up
to meet their Lord in the air, while rich, musical shouts of glory and victory
proceeded from every immortal tongue.” 604 {CCh 340.4} End note.
Daniel 8 (Cont)
8And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O
my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
9And he said, Go thy way,
Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
10Many shall be purified, and made white, and
tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall
understand; but the wise shall understand.
11And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall
be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up,
there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12Blessed is he that waiteth,
and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
13But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of
the days. Daniel 12:1-13.
The context is from the time the abomination that
maketh desolate is set up in the once Most Holy Place in Jerusalem. From the
time the daily is first removed (by the legislation of the National Sunday Law)
to the setting up of the antichrist in Jerusalem (the real setting up of the
antichrist abomination of desolation), there will be 1290 days. There will be a
30 day warning time from day 1260-1290, after the legislation (not enforcement)
of the National Sunday Law. On day 1290, the National Sunday Law will be
enforced by penalty of fine for the first offense, fine and imprisonment for
the second offense and the death penalty for three offenses. However, some will
anticipate this 30 day warning period and martyr many of God’s people. The
government will turn its head on this killing, because it hates Christians.
Martyrdom will occur from day 1260 to day 1335, during which time most of the
true Christians (except the 144,000) will be martyred. The martyrdom begins on
day 1260 because the 30 day enforcement date will be anticipated in some cases,
says Ellen White.
Faithful
Jews will not take the mark. Many of them will flee to the wildernesses of the
world and be taught the truth by the 144,000 (Ezekiel 20:34-38) and all rebels
are shaken from the Kingdom of Heaven by those represented in those verses. The
faithful amongst the tribe of Judah will be joined with the 144,000. Other Jews
who are saved will be martyred.
Those who come to day 1335 are blessed by knowing
that if they survive this point, they will not be martyred. They will then know
they are of the 144,000. This will be of great encouragement to them during
their time of trial (the 42 month reign of the antichrist) during the great
time of Jacob`s trouble.
Amo 8:11 Behold, the days come,
saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of
bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
Luk 4:25 But I tell you of a
truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was
shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the
land;
Amos 11:3-14
3And the
songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord GOD: there
shall be many dead bodies in every place; they shall cast them forth with
silence.
The above verse is a parallel to the more literal
end-time interpretation of the dead bodies in Revelation 11. The historic
interpretation was more symbolic in nature. But neither disqualifies the other.
Repeated for emphasis: “What
we have seen and heard of the pestilence, is but the beginning of what we shall
see and hear. Soon the dead and dying will be all around us. I saw that some will be
so hardened, as to even make sport of the judgments of God. Then the slain of
the Lord will be from one end of the earth, to the other; they will not be
lamented, gathered, nor buried; but their ill savor will come up from the face
of the whole earth. Those only who have the seal of
the living God, will be sheltered from the storm of wrath, that will soon fall
on the heads of those who have rejected the truth.” {RH, September 1, 1849 par.
10} In Hope, E. G. White. {RH, September 1, 1849 par.
11}
4Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to
make the poor of the land to fail,
5Saying, When will the new
moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath,
that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small,
and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?
6That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy
for a pair of shoes; yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat?
7The LORD hath sworn by the excellency
of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.
8Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one
mourn that dwelleth therein? and it shall rise up
wholly as a flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned, as by the flood of
Egypt.
9And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the
Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the
earth in the clear day:
10And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and
all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins,
and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only
son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.
11Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I
will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water,
but of hearing the words of the LORD:
12And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from
the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the
LORD, and shall not find it.
13In that day shall the fair virgins and young men
faint for thirst.
14They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy
god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba
liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again. Amos 11:3-14.
Ellen White applies Daniel 11:30 and on to the
end-time.
30 For the ships of Chittim
[Now the Isles of Cyprus of the coast of Greece where the U.S. has Naval bases]
shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have
indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return,
and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.
31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall
pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice , and they shall place the abomination that maketh
desolate.
32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant
shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be
strong, and do exploits .
33 And they that understand among the people shall
instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity,
and by spoil, many days.
34 Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them
with flatteries.
35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to
try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end:
because it is yet for a time appointed.
36 And the king shall do according to his will; and
he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above
every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall
prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall
be done.
37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers,
nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above
all.
38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of
forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he
honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
39 Thus shall he do in the most
strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase
with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the
land for gain. [Wealth distribution—sound familiar?]
40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the
south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a
whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall
enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
41 He shall enter also into the glorious land
[Jerusalem], and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out
of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the
countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
43 But he shall have power over the treasures of
gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans
and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north
shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
45 And he [the pope] shall plant the tabernacles of
his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain [Where Herod’s Temple
was built in Jerusalem]; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
Daniel 11:30-45.
