My November 28, 08 Vision Exposing The False “Herald” Source of Ernie Knoll’s “SDA Church” Dream

Dear Reader,

Early this a.m., November 28, 2008, the Holy Spirit via the messenger Angel Gabriel, gave me a most astounding confirmation of my prior questionings of the dreams and experience of one Ernie Knolls.  I asked my angel why I was not shown an expose’ of Ernie before this point in time and was told that the Lord Jesus wanted folk, even some who regard themselves as “reformers,” to see how easily they can be duped by Satan’s devices and that this is exactly why He has appointed me my commission in exposing the cherished errors of the professing Seventh-day Adventist church and all its false prophets and false priests for hire “watchmen.”

For decades the SDA church has taught the Satanic lie that the bad will be shaken from and by the church militant to leave it the purged and purified church triumphant. Were that true, there would be no need of Ezekiel 9 BEGINNING AT HIS SANCTUARY. There would be no need of reapplying Matthew 22:1-10 to our time, as Ellen White does in Sermons and Talks, Vol. 1, pp. 4-9, which appears in full at the end of this document.

"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling will YOU hear? Will YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley, September 26, 1909.)" E. G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260.

Begin at My Sanctuary -- "Here we see that the church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus 'Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211.

Ernie’s Herald is in essence saying stay for the slay—the rebels will be shaken out and routed from the church to leave it purified. This totally contradicts the above testimony by Ellen White. It totally contradicts Ezekiel 20:34-38 which says that the rebels will be shaken out of the kingdom of God by the church triumphant that is first separated and brought into covenant relationship with Christ.

This vision was mostly a confirmation of what I had already suspected based on what God has shown me in past visions. However, there were a few reminders of additional points I shared with a member of my Internet forum last evening. Below is the account of my Internet dialog and then I will cite the additional reminders I was shown in vision early this a.m. before rising.  I will maintain the anonymity of the person I am addressing.

__________,

Thank you for submitting Ernie's dream. Now I know for sure he is a false prophet. I will stake my salvation on it! The following testimony is directly contrary to Ellen Whites description of the omega of apostasy in Selected Messages, Book 1, pp. 204-5. She said that NOTHING WOULD BE ALLOWED TO STAND IN THE WAY OF THE NEW MOVEMENT. Ernie sees the new movement turning around after a shaking per the following words especially the ones I have placed in blue emphasis. This is a false prophecy. In addition to 1SM 204 and 205, she sees every uncouth thing being brought into SDA campmeetings JUST BEFORE THE CLOSE OF PROBATION. Ernie’s “Herald” sees a totally different and contradictory picture. He sees every sanctuary as reverent and all pastors teaching the way to Jesus.  What a satanic lie!

Ernie sees the church revived without a crack in the wall! Why then does Ezekiel 9 LITERALLY BEGIN AT HIS SANCTUARY, 5T 211? Is that what happened in the PREFIGURE of Israel. Ellen White said Ezekiel 9 will be LITERALLY FULFILLED. Do you realize that DEMANDS that what happened in A.D. 27-70 is repeated for that was the historic fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 and if it is LITERALLY FULFILLED again, that same scenario must occur in the antitype of the PREFIGURE TYPE.

All this is why God has appointed true prophets in the last days to discern what the sheeplings cannot see. You and all who are enchanted with Ernie are duped by Satan, the demon of all demons. I don't say that to discourage you. I say that to awaken you! I am responsible for the warning, not the results. But I pray that you will awaken to the obvious snares of teaching that directly contradict Ellen White.

In 5T 211, Ellen White says they will NEVER AGAIN show the House of Jacob its sins! That's a long time _________! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER! Read it for yourself, and that is one of the reason why she said that Ezekiel 9 BEGINS AT HIS SANCTUARY! If Ernie's dream is true, Ellen White is a false prophet! But as for me and my house, we will believe the gift of the Holy Spirit to the church via Ellen G. White. [Please go to the beginning of the chapter, 5T 207, to see that Ellen White begins the chapter quoting Ezekiel 9.]

If you and others don't believe the PREFIGURE TYPE OF MATTHEW 22:1-10, which Ellen White reapplies to the end-time in Sermons and Talks, Vol. 1, pp. 4-9, wherein she quotes verse 7, which is the same event as Ezekiel 9, you must believe her reapplication of Matthew 22:1-10. If you don't believe that, then believe her COUNTERPART statement below, which is also totally contradicted by Ernie's dream. [The only church today that qualifies as a COUNTERPART to a past “chosen” people of God, the Jews, is a present “chosen” people and that would be professing Seventh-day Adventists.

COUNTERPART: "The Lord commanded one of his ancient servants, 'Pray not thou for this people [Jer. 7:16 and 11:14], neither lift up cry nor prayer for them neither make intercession to me for I will not hear thee.' The prophet thus describes the sins which had called forth this fearful denunciation: 'The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means and my people love to have it so and what will ye do in the end thereof?' 'From the least of them even unto the greatest of them, every one is given to covetousness and from the prophet even unto the priest, every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.' The apostles declare that this state of things will find its COUNTERPART in the last days. Many have a form of godliness, but in their daily life deny the power thereof. They have ceased to be convicted of their sins or alarmed at their state. They say in their hearts, 'The church is flourishing. Peace and spiritual prosperity are within her borders.' The words of the prophet may well apply to these self-deceivers, 'They have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them." E. G. White, Second Advent Review and Sabbath Herald,  11-07-82.

"Shall the Lord be compelled to say, `Pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to Me: for I will not hear thee' [Jeremiah 7:16]? `Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain....Wilt thou not from this time cry unto Me, My Father, thou art the guide of my youth' [Jeremiah 3:3-4]?...

We are to be judged by the light that has been given us, (159) and we can find no excuse by which to extenuate our course." Review and Herald, Vol. 3, p 69-70 (August 1, 1893). (Brackets by Ellen White)

COUNTERPART: "In the time of the Saviour, the Jews had so covered over the precious jewels of truth with the rubbish of tradition and fable, that it was impossible to distinguish the true from the false. The Saviour came to clear away the rubbish of superstition and long-cherished errors, and to set the jewels of God's word in the framework of truth. What would the Saviour do if he should come to us now as he did to the Jews? He would have to do a similar work in clearing away the rubbish of tradition and ceremony. The Jews were greatly disturbed when he did this work [As are SDAs today!]. They had lost sight of the original truth of God, but Christ brought it again to view. It is our work to free the precious truths of God from superstition and error." E.G. White,  Review and Herald, Vol. 2, 308.

The Lord commanded one of his ancient servants, "Pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them; neither make intercession to me; for I will not hear thee." The prophet thus describes the sins which had called forth this fearful denunciation: "The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so; and what will ye do in the end thereof?" "From the least of them even unto the greatest of them, every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest, every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace." {RH, November 7, 1882 par. 8}

     The apostles declare that this state of things will find its counterpart in the last days. Many have a form of godliness, but in their daily life deny the power thereof. They have ceased to be convicted of their sins or alarmed at their state. They say in their hearts, "The church is flourishing. Peace and spiritual prosperity are within her borders." The words of the prophet may well apply to these self-deceivers, "They have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them." {RH, November 7, 1882 par. 9}

If you don't believe all of the above evidence, then believe Ezekiel 22:17-31, which is a continuation of Ezekiel 9. If you don't believe that evidence, then believe Ezekiel 8, where 25 men have their backs to the temple worshipping the Sun, symbolic of Sunday worship! If you don't believe that evidence, believe Ellen White's statement that SDA leaders will instruct their people to keep Sunday sacred!

The implications of Ernie's dream are the same cherished lie that SDA leaders have been teaching since Ellen White's death and that apostate Jewish leaders taught the Jews--remain at the Sanctuary for it is God's house. God will purge it and protect it. Jewish leaders were telling the Jews that lie while the Romans were beating down the doors to the Temple in the last fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 in A.D. 70, which is also described in Matthew 22:7! Ernie is teaching contrary to Scripture and Ellen White. If you don't believe all of the above, read Isaiah 37:31, 32, which must agree with Isaiah 4:1-4. The Jerusalem we are to remain in is true Jerusalem. Where was true Jerusalem in A.D. 27-70? There were two headquarters in Jerusalem--Christ's and His disciples' and the apostate church. Isaiah say that a remnant goes out of Jerusalem and he properly understood, Isaiah 4:1-4 DOES NOT contradict Isaiah 37:31, 32.  Where was true Zion from A.D. 22-70?

A certain person dumped me, the pure truth, and deleted our co-owned forum for an imposter—Ernie Knolls! Will you? But far worse, will you dump the Bible, Ellen White and Jesus for an imposter?! How many SDA's will do this? That “certain person” said that he believes both Ernie and my end-time warning message. That shows his lack of spiritual discernment because the two are totally incompatible!

Those who believe Ernie will wait too late and be caught in the literal slaughter of Ezekiel 9 which, if LITERAL, must follow the pattern of the last LITERAL fulfillment in A.D. 27-70 and all the events of that time-span coincide with Ellen White's reapplication of Matthew 22:1-10, in Sermons and Talks, Vol. 1, pp. 4-9. Now do you see the difference between the true and the false messengers? If you don't, God help you is all I can say.

All Ernie’s “Herald” is saying is a repetition (in other words) of the decades old cherished lie that the shaking amongst Adventists will shake out the bad from the wheat and tare co-ed church militant, to leave it purged and purified. That runs in the face of Ellen White’s statement that Ezekiel 9 will be LITERALLY fulfilled again and will BEGIN at His (God’s) Sanctuary, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211, Ezekiel 9, Ezekiel 22:17-31, which tells where the tares (dross is shaken), and Ezekiel 20:34-38 which says that a group are separated to the wilderness, brought into covenant relationship with Christ, which obviously is the church triumphant, and that the rebels are shaken out of the kingdom of heaven by that bride, that TRUE ZION, the 144,000 who give the Loud Cry. All who reject her message will thus be shaken out of the kingdom of heaven. How could any reformer miss all this evidence of Scripture and the Spirit of Prophecy is beyond me, but anyone who is duped by such falsity is in serious lack of eyesalve. Better read and heed the message to Laodicea and pray for eyesalve and don't stop until you get it!

With all the loving concern I can muster,

Ron Beaulieu

P.S. I will give you all the time you need in responding to any questions you have.

Below is the excerpt from one of Ernie Knoll’s dreams I was referring to in my dialog response above. The full dream of Ernie is recounted further down in this document. I say again: My messenger angel Gabriel confirmed that Ernie’s “Herald” is addressing the shaking among professing Seventh-day Adventists, and that his “Herald” is repeating the cherished lie that the bad (Tares and Thorns) are shaken from and by the SDA church militant to leave it purged and purified as the church triumphant, in lieu of experiencing a LITERAL Ezekiel 9 slaughter as Ellen White and Scripture confirm. The term church militant means nothing more than the wheat and tare co-ed church which could NEVER be Zion, the church triumphant, for the simple fact that it includes both wise and foolish virgins.

Ezekiel 20:34-38, Ezekiel 22:17-31, Ezekiel 9 and Testimonies, Vol. 5, pp. 207-211, prove that the church militant will experience another LITERAL Ezekiel 9 destruction, after the order of the last LITERAL Ezekiel 9 slaughter, which occurred in A.D. 70.

In Sermons and Talks, Vol. 1, pp. 4-9, Ellen White reapplies Matthew 22:1-10 to the end-time. She specifically cites verse 7, which is the exact same event as Ezekiel 9:6. Now Ernie’s dream the Holy Spirit used to expose Ernie Knoll’s, His “Herald,” which has spoken contrary to Scripture and the Spirit of Prophecy. This is Ernie’s account of his “Herald” angel messenger relating a dream to him on the shaking in Adventism. That it involves this subject matter was confirmed by my angel messenger Gabriel. It will be seen how skillfully Satan mixes truth with error in order to confound his subjects:

“He [Ernie’s Herald” looks at me and says, "Hold strong to your faith." As I watch, the church suddenly starts shaking left and right, forward and backward. The whole church begins twisting from side to side. I watch as many people are thrown from the windows. Many come running out and down the steps. I see the vending machines and pastry carts tumble out and down the steps. I see many, many people falling and rolling down the steps. I watch as this large building shakes. {2} I expect to see it crumble to the ground. {3} I squeeze my angels hand as I am afraid of what is going to happen to my church. He looks at me and says, "Hold tight to your faith." As
suddenly as it began, the shaking stops. I look and see that the many large pillars are still intact. We descend back to the ground and stand on the top step. I notice there is no damage to the steps. I turn and see many people now walking up the steps of the church. Their appearance is modest and many are singing an inspirational hymn. I notice all have laid self aside and are focused on Jesus. All worldly thoughts are put away. I watch as they enter the foyer. We walk into the foyer and notice that some are quietly whispering and there is a sense of reverence throughout the long foyer.

My angel and I begin going
from sanctuary to sanctuary. I notice that each service is reverent, and each pastor is teaching the way to Jesus. My angel and I continue to the sanctuary where they were baptizing people. I notice here that ministers are praying and studying with each individual before they get in line. I see there is a room where the individuals go to get rid of their suitcases and shopping bags. There is a trash receptacle where they throw away their cigarettes and other tobacco items. I watch as an individual slowly walks into the baptistery. The minister stands next to them. He speaks of the commitment they are about to make before not only to those watching, but all of heaven. As the individual is lowered under the water I notice they are dirty. My angel directs me to look up. As I look up through the roof and all the way through the sky to heaven, I see angels cheering and singing as each individual is baptized. I look back at the individuals as they slowly exit the baptistery. I notice that as they come out, they are very clean. The garments they are wearing are bright white and their faces beam with happiness.

As we continue down the foyer to
each sanctuary, I notice that the
church stood without any damage. There is not even a crack in the walls. I think of how I watched as this building twisted and shook and how I was so afraid that it would fall.

The Herald and I turn, walk outside, and down the steps. I look at
him and ask when this will happen. He smiles a loving smile, and again, as in other dreams, I notice his dimples. He puts a hand on each of my shoulders and says, "After you awake, prepare what I have shown you. Send it to Sister Z. She will serve in editing. When she is finished she is to have her husband review it. He will know if anything has been left out as he has already been shown. When he is in agreement with what has been prepared, it is to be sent straightaway to Brother S for posting for His people". I asked the Herald if Brother Z has received the dream. He said that many are shown and they share. Many are shown and they are afraid to share. Many are shown and they do not recall. Many are shown and they recall after the appointed time. And many are shown through the Father's Spirit. End Ernie Knoll’s dream.

Now some of my (Ron’s) further dialog with a past supporter of Ernie Knolls:

Ron,  Thanks for answering my questions.  I have never dialogued with  Ernie, but I have read the dreams.  The dreams call for individual repentance and a preparation for Jesus soon return by studying the Bible and SOP.  I watched a couple videos of him telling his dreams. It was not a doctrinal discourse.  You said, "It seems to me that Ernie realizes that he would not get much tithe if he gave a separation message."  The following is a quote from the “SDA Church Dream.”  It is said after judgments came.

"I am now taken to an area where I understand the people are Seventh-day Adventists. They had been entrusted with earthly treasures from God. They had built up their treasures on earth and now cry that they were given a chance to help financially, but no longer will have that opportunity. {7} I watch as these people get together and mention how they were faithful in giving ten percent to God, but God had taken everything away from them. They now have no money and no means to rebuild their earthly mansions or buy fancy cars. They learn that they were given an opportunity to help with God's workers who needed financial assistance. God turned His back to them and had allowed Satan to destroy their property as he did Job."

"The Herald turns to me and says, "It is important that His people
understand while it is important that we are to return a tithe to God's storehouse, it is equally important that they understand what the funds are being used for. If an individual is providing funds and they understand that the funds are not being used according to His will, that person will be held accountable. The Great Creator has said to pay a tribute to those who do His bidding. The Herald explains that many tributes are used toward Lucifer's work of using spiritualism from within God's church by those who collect and place the funds in a storehouse. The Herald says, "That is not God's storehouse. Those that give a tribute will be able to see the blessing they give in faith when it is placed in God's storehouse."

Note by Ron: Ernie receives tithe until the apostasy of the church is purged, which will never be because of the following reasons:

·       Nothing stands in the way of the new movement, 1SM 204-5.

·       The “dumb-dog” watchmen of the House of Jacob will NEVER AGAIN shown the House of Jacob their sins, 5T 211. So how could there be any in-house reformation as Ernie describes. He is speaking directly contradictory to Ellen White. That is what his “Herald” is doing.

·       Ellen White says that the leaders will instruct to keep Sunday.

·       Ezekiel 9 would never literally occur BEGINNING AT HIS SANCTUARY, 5T 211, if Ernie’s Herald is correct. These are just a few of the many reasons Ernie’s herald is a false spirit from the cauldron of Satan.

Now I see many who are crying because they have lost all. They no
longer have a way to contribute in faith. Some were given an
opportunity to give a large portion of the talent they were blessed
with but wanted to hold back. They wanted to hold off, because they felt there would still be time. Now that talent is removed from them, and they will be unable to share."

This statement turned off many SDAs because they were faithful to pay their tithe to the apostate store house.  Since I was already
supporting faithful ministries it didn't bother me.  It was old news.
Did you notice this?  "The Herald explains that many tributes are
used toward Lucifer's work of using spiritualism from within God's
church by those who collect and place the funds in a storehouse."
What?! The SDA church using Spiritualism?  Could this be a subtle jab at the Trinity doctrine.  I remember seeing how you expose the
trinity error and show its roots in paganism/witchcraft/spiritualim.
I don't see anything saying that Ernie is the storehouse.

Comment by Anonymous:

I don't see that Ernie can choose the content of his dreams to dream
a separation message.  The following is a dream that is about the apostasy.  It ends with a great shaking followed by revival and
reformation.  God's faithful will survive.  I don't see this as a
corporate revival.  Give it a fair reading.  Signed: Anonymous__________

Ron responds: Ernie is not choosing the content of his dreams. Satan is choosing the content to deceive Adventists to remain at an apostate church for the next literal slaughter of Ezekiel 9, wherein men, maidens and little children will perish without mercy, Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 211. As far as the incidence of an imminent end-time Primitive Revival, here is the true context of Ellen White’s reference to such:

THE SDA CHURCH

 September 28, 2007

 by Ernie Knoll

In my dream, I am standing on a sidewalk looking at the right side of
the front of a very large church. The church is massive in size. It appears that it must take up an entire city block because of it's size. I notice there are many windows on the sides and more windows above these. I notice there are several very large columns in front of
the church. The base of the columns are at the top of the steps and
they extend way up to support the roof.

Suddenly, I feel a tap on my right shoulder and someone calls me by
my heavenly name. I turn and see "The Herald" standing behind me. I immediately tell him I have several questions to ask him. He smiles a patient smile and says, "You always have questions." The Herald says, "Come, I am to show you many things."

We walk down the sidewalk and stand at the base of the many stairs
that go up to the front of the church. I watch as many, many people begin walking up the steps. My angel points out that some of the men are not thinking about what they might hear in church or the blessing they will receive. Many are thinking about their job and what they
need to do to excel to get a higher position. Others are thinking
about how good they look all dressed up. Others are thinking of who they might meet to find a mate. I see others dressed as if going to a picnic or a ball game. Some are even dressed in sports jerseys.

I watch as many, many women ascend the steps wearing expensive
stylish shoes. The outfits they have selected are inappropriate for church. Some wear dresses and skirts that are very short. Many have tops which are cut very low, exposing much of themselves. Others are wearing tight form fitting clothes. Some have painted toenails and fingernails. Many wear jewelry and proudly display their wedding rings. They sport the latest decorative hairdos that say,
"Look at me; I'm beautiful."

 We climb the stairs and enter into the foyer of this large church.
In the foyer, I find it is very noisy. I see vending machines along the walls. There are also aluminum and wood carts offering tea, milk and coffee; as well as bagels, pastries and a small assortment of very ripe fruit.

I notice that there are many sanctuaries that branch off from the
foyer. My angel and I enter the first sanctuary and I notice many people inside. We listen as the preacher is explaining, "Jesus paid for each of us on the cross. We're saved; don't worry about a thing. We have been saved in our sins." He continues, "All we have to do each day is ask for forgiveness and we will have eternal life. We are not to worry if we sin again as Jesus has paid for our right to be in heaven." The people exclaim together, "Amen! Sin and be forgiven;
Jesus has saved us."

We leave this sanctuary and enter the next. In this sanctuary there
is a large baptistery up front. I notice this sanctuary is filled with many people. There is a long line of people waiting to go up the stairs to the baptistery to be baptized. I see above and to the right of the baptistery a large digital counter, like a scoreboard, that increments each time an individual is baptized. I watch as some in line to be baptized are carrying suitcases. Others are carrying
shopping bags full of items they just purchased at the store. The
bags contain food items, reading material and other things a Christian would not bring with them to church, especially
when they are going to be baptized. I see some with cigarettes in their pockets and still others eating unclean foods as they stand in line. I watch as individuals are placed under the water and then handed off to climb out of the baptistery. I see men in black suits discussing the counter. I know these are important men connected with the church. I hear them discuss how the counter needs to
increase faster. I watch as they decide to place more helpers in the
baptistery to move the people in, under and out faster. They exclaim, "IN, UNDER and OUT!" I watch as the counter goes faster. I notice the water they are in is very dirty as are those in the water. As they come out of the water, they are still dirty, but have now picked up additional dirt from others who have been previously baptized. I look at their faces and they appear tired and not very happy. I look to my angel and begin to cry and shake my head. We leave this sanctuary and return to the foyer. My angel and I stop for a bit and he says, "Do not cry. I have been sent to show you these things. Conserve your courage."

We then go to the next sanctuary where I notice a banner over the
door which says "Team Church." In the sanctuary I see that the pews have been removed and recliners installed. I see many visiting and talking. They are wearing football, baseball, basketball and other sports related clothing. Up front, the pastor is wearing his favorite
team's uniform. I hear him exclaim, "Jesus will beat the opposing
team. We have a victory at his touch down, the game is won!" I hear the people cheer, holding their drinks and snacks up, saying, "Go team Jesus." My angel and I walk back out to the foyer, where my angel reaches up and takes hold of the banner - beginning to pull it away. I notice underneath the words that begin, "The Problem of Many Athletic Sports...." {1} Adventist Home page 500

Note by Ron: Satan always mixes some vivid truth with her errors to dupe his subjects. But there is also a mass amount of serious error in his dream that contradicts both the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy. End note.

As I begin reading this, several men, seeing us do this, become very
angry and begin placing the banner back up. We then walk to the next sanctuary and find the pastor talking very smoothly to the many people. He is preaching that all we need is love and grace. We need not worry about anything else, just love and grace. I watch as he uses certain hand and arm movements, slowly walking from one side of the platform to the other. The people become very relaxed. He speaks about only certain parts of the Bible and shares how we are to learn new ideas. He speaks of a "Community of Faith", and of "innovation". I see the people are listening; but they are lulled into a sleepy stupor. As we leave this room, I look up to my angel with a disgusted look.

We walk into another sanctuary where once again I see that there are
many people. They are standing and singing. There is a large screen up front that has words displayed on it. As the people sing, they raise their hands and wave them back and forth. The song they are singing constantly repeats itself. There is no verse of inspiration. I then see
many step out into the aisle where they begin slowly walking up and
down, singing and waving. Gradually they begin skipping, and after a little more time they begin running up and down the aisle proclaiming that they have the "spirit." They begin speaking with unintelligible languages. I look to my angel and ask if we may leave.
 We walk to the next sanctuary and I find there are very few people
inside. The few that are there are sitting quietly and listening intently. The pastor is speaking of preparing for the coming of Jesus. He talks from the heart. I look to my angel and I smile. He puts his left hand on my right shoulder and says, "Look closely at the pastor." As I look I notice that a very bright light is shining down on him from heaven. I notice what looks like a flame is burning on top
of his head. I see many angels carrying books. They are instructing
him what to say.

We leave this sanctuary and return to the foyer. We walk past many
other sanctuaries, the vending machines, and the many carts of tea, milk, coffee, bagels and pastry. We walk out of this massive church building. The Herald looks at me and asks, "May I have your hand?" I hold up my right hand to him and he takes a firm hold. We ascend into the air about a hundred feet. We turn, and for the first time I see the entire front of this massive church. I notice the large pillars that support the roof. Just below the roof is a large sign, deeply engraved with the words "SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH."

He looks at me and says, "Hold strong to your faith." As I watch, the
church suddenly starts shaking left and right, forward and backward. He looks at me and says, "Hold tight to your faith." As suddenly as it began, the shaking stops. I look and see that the many large pillars are still intact. We descend back to the ground and stand on the top step. I notice there
is no damage to the steps. I turn and see many people now walking up the steps of the church. Their appearance is modest and many are singing an inspirational hymn. I notice all have laid self aside and are focused on Jesus. All worldly thoughts are put away. I watch as they enter the foyer. We walk into the foyer and notice that some are
quietly whispering and there is a sense of reverence throughout the
long foyer.

My angel and I begin going from sanctuary to sanctuary. I notice that
each service is reverent, and each pastor is teaching the way to Jesus.

As we continue down the foyer to each sanctuary, I notice that the
church stood without any damage.

When
he is in agreement with what has been prepared, it is to be sent straightaway to Brother S for posting for His people".

I asked the Herald if Brother Z has received the dream. He said that many are shown and they share. Many are shown and they are afraid to share. Many are shown and they do not recall. Many are shown and they recall after the appointed time. And many are shown through the Father's Spirit.

 I mean what Ernie DOES NOT SAY about the serious omega apostasy and a correct response to it. That apostasy involves UNPARDONABLE SIN. Yet, the so-called, "Great Commission" that investigated him still lingers in a church that has committed unpardonable sin and that is not my judgment. That is the judgment of Isaiah 8:9-13 and Ellen White's Word to the Little Flock, p. 14 statement. It seems to me that Ernie realizes that he would not get much tithe if he gave a separation message. I believe that if his dreams were from God that he would address the seriousness of the apostasy AT THIS LATE HOUR.

Any view that would support remaining in and calling repentance FOR a corporate church that has committed corporate unpardonable sin apostasy, would expose itself as false. But that does not apply to
individuals. There is still time for individuals to learn of the
apostasy and repent. I don't know if Ernie's call for repentance is
CORPORATE or INDIVIDUAL. Do you?

 The goal of any error emanating from Satan is to ensnare God's people in corporate guilt for unpardonable sin, thus causing their eternal destruction. So if Ernie approves of membership in the
apostate church, that is serving that particular goal of Satan. I read Joe Crews Creeping Compromise years ago, but that would not call for a separation.  A lot of men like Ron Spears, Colin Standish, Vance Ferrell, those associated with the Eternal Gospel Church in Florida, and many others, are still in the category of the "dumb-dog" priests-for-hire class because they are not instructing God's people as to the correct response to apostasy. God says it is IMPOSSIBLE to become or remain pure while in fellowship with such apostates and they are saying the opposite!

 Personally, I don't think God has to tell me anything personally about Ernie Knolls. The writing is on the wall for me. I find it totally fascinating that one can present the vast wealth of teaching
that I have on my Website, and still be infatuated with the sparse material Ernie Knoll has to proffer! Totally fascinating! That is all I will say.

Additional data I was reminded of in my vision this a.m.:

·       Ellen White said that the omega of apostasy will wax stronger until Jesus comes. If you will search out the context of this statement (I have the referenced book), you will find that the entire context is on the omega of apostasy: "One thing it is certain is soon to be realized, the great apostasy, which is developing and increasing and waxing stronger, and will continue to do so until the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout. We are to hold fast the first principles of our denominated faith, and go forward from strength to increased faith. Ever we are to keep the faith that has been substantiated by the Holy Spirit of God from the earlier events of our experience until the present time. We need now larger breadth, and deeper, more earnest, unwavering faith in the leadings of the Holy Spirit. If we needed the manifest proof of the Holy Spirit's power to confirm truth in the beginning, after the passing of the time, we need to-day all the evidence in the confirmation of the truth, when souls are departing from the faith and giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. There must not be any languishing of soul now." (E.G. White, Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 7, p. 57).

·       The COUNTERPART statements of Ellen White involving Jeremiah 7 and 11, and instructing not to pray for those who are in conspiratorial (confederacy) with God’s enemies (now vial ecumenical liaison with Babylon) [included in this document] depict the church committing unpardonable sin, which it has already committed by violation of Isaiah 8:9-13 and Ellen White’s following statement involving the Midnight Cry and the messages given in 1844:

 "While praying at the family altar, the Holy Ghost fell on me, and I seemed to be rising higher and higher, far above the dark world. I turned to look for the Advent people in the world, but could not find them--when a voice said to me, 'Look again, and look a little higher.' At this I raised my eyes and saw a straight and narrow path cast up high above the world. On this path the Advent people were traveling to the City, which was at the farther end of the path. They had a bright light set up behind them at the first end of the path, which an angel told me was the Midnight Cry [Matt. 25]. This light shone all along the path, and gave light for their feet so they might not stumble. And if they kept their eyes fixed on Jesus, who was just before them, leading them to the City, they were safe. But soon some grew weary, and they said the City was a great way of, and they expected to have entered it before. Then Jesus would encourage them by raising his glorious right arm, and from his arm came a glorious light which waved over the Advent band, and they shouted Hallelujah! Others rashly denied the light behind them, and said that it was not God that had led them out so far. The light behind them went out leaving their feet in perfect darkness, and they stumbled and got their eyes off the mark and lost sight of Jesus, and fell off the path down in the dark and wicked world below. It was just as impossible for them to get on the path again and go to the City, as all the wicked world which God had rejected. They fell all the way along the path one after another, until we heard the voice of God like many waters, which gave us the day and hour of Jesus' coming....

By this time the 144,000 were all sealed and perfectly united. On their foreheads was written, God, New Jerusalem, and a glorious Star containing Jesus' new name." E.G. White, Word to the Little Flock, p. 14.

Ellen White says that the Midnight Cry gave power to the second angel’s message, and both have been violated by the church’s ecumenical involvement with Babylon—even their admitted involvement with the Hungarian Council of Free Churches, in which the Adventist Review said the church had been a member of for 30 years and that was stated in the latter 1980’s. Also Adventist News Service has announced that it is a member of the Federation of churches in Norway and France.

Isaiah 8:9-13 says that the penalty for such violation is being broken in pieces, which is repeated three times! There is no other option. This indicates unpardonable sin for all who knowingly imbibe this apostate error. All prophesy is conditional UNTIL certain unpardonable sins are committed by the church. Unpardonable sin is defined by God in Jeremiah 11:9-15 and Isaiah 8:9-12.

The church has done everything described in Jeremiah 11:9-15, including rejoicing (THE CELEBRATION MOVEMENT) after they have done evil. The Celebration Movement derives from Pentecostalism and Vatican II. When God says not to pray for a people, that denotes the fact that they have committed unpardonable sin. Two Doctors of Divinity Adventists, John Grosboll and the former Ralph Larson, said that the SDA church has committed unpardonable sin.

Matthew 22 Sermons and Talks, Vol. 1, pp. 4-9

Called to the Wedding Feast

(Sermon by Ellen G. White In Washington, Township, Iowa, Cir. 1874.)

     The words which I have selected as a foundation for a few remarks you will find in the 22nd chapter of Matthew, beginning at the first verse. [Verses 1-10, quoted.] {1SAT 4.1}

     The portion of Scripture presented before us, which I have referred to and have presented before your minds, is of intense meaning--much more than I am able to explain. It is of great interest to us, and we should consider it, and let it have due weight upon our minds. We find by perusing God's sacred Word of inspiration that when the promised Messiah, the Son of God, came into the world His own people, even His own nation--the Jews--would not and did not receive Him. As we are told in the first chapter of St. John, "He came unto His own, and His own received Him not" (John 1:11). {1SAT 4.2}

     The provision was made, but they would not receive it. The Father Himself provided a ransom, even a sacrifice. His own dear Son submitted Himself to His Father's requirements, came into this sinful world, became a man of sorrow and acquainted with grief. He went about doing good, speaking in tones of tenderness, saying in the deepest and most fervent and sweetest accents ever uttered, "Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart"; and He assures us we shall find rest to our souls. {1SAT 4.3}

     "Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise."

                                      -5- {1SAT 4.4}

     The great King Himself hath made a marriage for His Son. He hath sent forth His servants for many hundreds of years, saying, "Come, for all things are ready." But how little do they [His people]  heed the invitation! They make light of it and go their ways to their worldly pursuits and worldly pleasures, the same as they have done for centuries. But the King sendeth forth His armies and destroys those murders and burns up their city [church], and we are told in the ninth chapter of Daniel, the 26th verse, that "the people of the Prince that shall come shall destroy the city...; and the end thereof shall be with a flood." {1SAT 5.1}

     "Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage." {1SAT 5.2}

     In the 14th chapter of Luke, verse 16, we find that there was made a great supper and many were bidden. Servants were sent forth to say to those that were bidden, "Come; for all things are now ready" [verse 17]. But they made excuses. {1SAT 5.3}

     The King of the kingdom hath made a marriage supper for His Son. He hath sent forth His servants to say to those which are bidden, "Come to the marriage." The Lord is sending His servants, saying unto all who will hear, "Come, make ready for the great marriage supper of the Lamb; He is soon coming to receive all the faithful to the mansions prepared by Him, to partake of the feast which He hath prepared." He is sending, and hath been sending His servants for some thirty years past to say unto His people, "Come, make ready, put on your wedding garments; clothe yourselves with meekness, humility, and truth, and have yourselves clad in the righteousness of Christ, that you may be

                                      -6-

able to appear before Him, and enter into the guest chamber with those who shall sit with Me at the wedding of My Son." {1SAT 5.4}

     All must be clothed with the wedding garment in order to be accepted, lest we be found speechless. {1SAT 6.1}

     Is it not of the greatest importance that we be found having on the robe of righteousness, that we be ready when the Bridegroom cometh to enter in to the marriage supper? May we heed the invitation given and make ourselves ready that we may have admittance into the Master's house, that He say not unto us that none which were bidden shall taste of His supper. In the parable, those who were bidden heeded not its invitation, but continued excusing themselves, feasting upon the pleasures of this world as the masses do at the present time. {1SAT 6.2}

     The servants of God are inviting and entreating them to come away from the alluring scenes of this vain and fleeting world, to make ready for the marriage supper, but they will not come. We hear them saying, There's no danger; tomorrow shall be as this day and much more abundant; no need of being disturbed. We must needs attend to farms and merchandise and the things of this life, lest we lose worldly interests, and become poor and suffer want. They forget that He who careth for the little sparrows and clotheth the lilies of the field, careth for the humble, trusting soul, and will guide and direct all those who are ready to do His will, and bestow upon His dear children such things as they need. To all who through patience and perseverance overcome, He hath promised to give a crown of never fading glory, a robe of righteousness, and an entrance into the beautiful city of our God. {1SAT 6.3}

     This same King is sending forth His servants today. He is inviting His guests, saying, "Come, for all things are now ready." The Lord of the marriage

                                      -7-

is soon coming: behold, He is at the door. Delay not to open the door, lest He turn away from receiving you and you enter not into the marriage feast. Open the door and receive the Master, that you may enter into the mansions of everlasting rest and never fading glory prepared for all those that love Him. Who will make ready for the coming of Him who hath said, "Behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give to every man according as his work shall be" [Rev. 22:12]. {1SAT 6.4}

     If we neglect our spiritual interests, neglect to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable duty, we become entangled with the trifling cares of this life. If we even once omit our daily duty of calling upon God for His divine aid, His care and protection, we lose one day's enjoyment. We have not the sweet, melting influence of God's Holy Spirit attending us through the day, but we feel cast down and easily discouraged. The enemy of souls is ready to take advantage [of us] and often does, bringing us into captivity and sin. {1SAT 7.1}

     We may sometimes be cumbered about much serving, like Martha; but how much more commendable was the act of Mary, who sat and listened to the teachings of Jesus. He says, "Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: but . . . . Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her" (Luke 10:41, 42). {1SAT 7.2}

     How many times the things of this vain, deceitful world come between us and our eternal interests! Temporal things spring up within our hearts and choke those things which are spiritual. We permit the enemy of righteousness to persuade us that we should attend to the things of this life. We now and then neglect greater duties lest we suffer want. If we faithfully entreat God to

                                      -8-

give us strength and to perform temporal duties, and at the same time to give us grace and wisdom to overcome evil; if we have our hopes centered above and our conversation in heaven, whence we look for the Son of man who has bidden to the marriage all who will come: who has gone up on high to prepare mansions for all those who love and keep His sayings, and has told us He is coming to receive us, we may enter in to the wedding feast with Him, that where He is there we may be also. If we turn away from those calls and invitations, what will be the consequence? {1SAT 7.3}

     In the 13th chapter of the Acts of the Apostles, 46th verse, we find that if we put God's work from us, and judge ourselves unworthy of everlasting life, we have no reason to expect an entrance into the kingdom. The 24th verse of the 14th chapter of Luke informs us that "none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper." {1SAT 8.1}

     The great eternal Father has prepared a marriage feast for His Son. Will we give heed to His servants who have been and are being sent forth to proclaim unto us the solemn invitation? Or shall we make light of it? Oh, why refuse to make ready for the marriage of the Son of God? There is room for all who will accept the invitation. None can say [that] those things were not duly represented. Remember, when the good man returns, those who are ready will go in to the feast and the door will be shut, and there will be no further entrance, for we read that when "the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door" (Luke 13:25), then those who would find admittance will hear the answer, "I know you not. . . ; depart from Me." {1SAT 8.2}

     May we heed well the solemn warning and make ready to enter into the wedding, that His house may be filled. God's Word informs us, "Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city" (Rev. 22:14). May we be found faithful, and give diligence to our calling, and possess the promised reward of the faithful, is my prayer.--Ms 8, 1874. (MR 900.56) {1SAT 8.3}

End Matthew 22 Parable from Sermon and Talks

What about the church that appears to fall but does not? This statement is totally misunderstood by most Seventh-day Adventists because they don’t know their Bible players. Zion is the bride that is married, Isaiah 62:1-5. She is the church triumphant, the 144,000, by whom all the bad are shaken out of the kingdom of heaven.

Most Adventists grossly err in applying the following statement to the church militant, which IS NOT ZION, the bride of Christ, without guile; which is not the remnant that purify their souls by obeying the truth.

"The church may appear as about to fall, but it does not fall. It remains, while the sinners IN ZION will be sifted out--the chaff separated from the precious wheat [AFTER THE CLOSE OF PROBATIONARY TIME--CHRIST'S OBJECT LESSONS, 72]. This is a terrible ordeal, but nevertheless it must take place. None but those who have been overcoming by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony will be found with the loyal and true, without spot or stain of sin, without guile in their mouths...

The REMNANT that purify their souls by obeying the truth gather strength from the trying process, exhibiting the beauty of holiness amid the surrounding apostasy. All these, He says, 'I have graven . . . upon the palms of my hands' (Isa. 49:16)...

That which God required of Adam before his fall was perfect obedience to His law. God requires now what He required of Adam, perfect obedience, righteousness without a flaw, without shortcoming in His sight....We cannot do this without that faith that brings Christ's righteousness into daily practice." E.G. White, Selected Messages, Vol. 2, 380.

Compare the above statement with the following prophesy by Ellen White:

PROLEPSIS PROPHETIC STATEMENT:

Here is the Spirit of Prophecy prophesied prolepsis statement regarding the final fate of that once Noble Ship. This is a major LYNCHPIN to my warning message. Can you explain it away? Are you a passenger on this once NOBLE SHIP, that is about to sink to rise no more? NOTICE WHO SEPARATES FROM WHOM:

"Jesus sends HIS PEOPLE a message of warning to prepare them for his coming. To the prophet John was made known the closing work in the great plan of man's redemption. He beheld an angel flying 'in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him for the hour of his Judgment is come and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters [Rev. 14:6, 7.].

The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message,  symbolizes a class of faithful men, who, obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth. This message was not to be committed to the religious leaders of the people. They had failed to preserve their connection with God, and had REFUSED THE LIGHT FROM HEAVEN therefore they WERE NOT of the number described by the apostle Paul: 'But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day we are not of the night nor of darkness' [1 Thess. 5:4, 5].

The watchmen upon the walls of Zion should be the first to catch the tidings of the Saviour's advent, the first to lift their voices to proclaim him near, the first to warn the people to prepare for his coming. But they were at ease, dreaming of peace and safety, while the people were asleep in their sins. Jesus saw HIS CHURCH, like the barren fig-tree, covered with pretentious leaves, yet destitute of precious fruit. There was a boastful observance of the forms of religion, while the spirit of true humility, penitence and faith--which alone could render the service acceptable to God--was lacking. Instead of the graces of the Spirit, there were manifested pride, formalism, vainglory, selfishness, oppression. A BACKSLIDING CHURCH closed their eyes to the signs of the times. God did nor forsake them, or suffer his faithfulness to fail but they departed from him, and SEPARATED THEMSELVES from his love. As they REFUSED TO COMPLY WITH THE CONDITIONS, his promises were NOT FULFILLED to them."  E.G. White, The Spirit of Prophecy, Vol. 4, pp. 199-200 [The 1884 edition of The Great Controversy, 199, 200].

Note these important delineations in the above statement:

·       Ellen White is addressing HIS PEOPLE.

·       Ellen White is addressing those to whom God committed the EVERLASTING GOSPEL of Revelation 14.

·       Ellen White is defining the angel represented in prophecy as symbolizing a class of faithful men.

·       Ellen White is saying emphatically that the final Loud Cry message is delivered NOT BY THE LEADERS OF THE SDA CHURCH, but by a class of faithful men, because the leaders had failed to preserve their connection with God and had refused light from heaven!

·       Ellen White is addressing "watchmen upon the walls of Zion," NOT FALLEN BABYLON!

·       Twice Ellen White mentions HIS CHURCH, NOT FALLEN BABYLON.

·       It is the MEMBERS of said church that SEPARATE FROM GOD, AND THAT IS WHY WE HAVE TO SEPARATE FROM THEM OR BE CORPORATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR APOSTASY.

·       The above reasons are why there is another coming out of a faithful remnant FROM APOSTATE JERUSALEM AS WELL AS FALLEN BABYLON.

·       Isa 37:31   And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward:

·       Isa 37:32   For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.

Ellen White is addressing a BACKSLIDING CHURCH whose leaders and laity alike failed and rejected light from heaven and who refused to comply with the conditions so that God's promises are not fulfilled to them. Consider the following commentary on the 1884 Great Controversy that the above statement is quoted from:

“Consider for a few moments the chapter in the first edition of Great Controversy, Volume IV, published by Pacific Press in 1884. In Chapter XXVII, ‘The Snares of Satan,’ you find that about four pages in the latter part of the chapter were omitted from the later editions of Great Controversy. These four pages are to be found in Testimonies to Ministers, pages 472 to 475. The information contained in these four pages is very valuable to Seventh-day Adventists and was very appropriately included in the first edition of Great Controversy, Volume IV, which when it was published was like the other volumes considered to be A MESSAGE ESPECIALLY TO SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISTS, and to [all] Christian people sympathizing with them in beliefs and aims.” W. C. White, Selected Messages, Appendix C, pp. 452, 453.

The Church That Appears as About to Fall

It is not the SDA church militant (wheat and tare co-ed church) that appears as about to fall but does not fall. That church does fall in Ezekiel 9 destruction. Ellen White clearly stated that "nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement." So how could it appear to fall until Ezekiel 9 destruction?

The real church that appears as about to fall is the church in the wilderness that is surrounded by its enemies at the very end, just before that church triumphant is delivered by the voice of God. Ellen White parallels that church as about to fall with the experience of Jacob, when he was going forth to meet his brother Essau and his armies. In Great Controversy, pp. 616, and 630, Ellen White refers to the church that appears as about to fall in this context. So SDA leaders have taken that statement totally out of context, to try to convince its members that the apostate new movement will appear as about to fall but won't--no matter what it does.

 "The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A NEW ORGANIZATION would be established. Books of a new order would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the NEW MOVEMENT. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure.

WHO HAS AUTHORITY TO BEGIN SUCH A [NEW] MOVEMENT? We have our Bibles. We have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the Holy Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not repudiate everything that is not in harmony with this truth?" E.G. White, Selected Messages, Vol. 1, 204-205.

The Real Church Triumphant and When it Appears as About to Fall

The only church that can be paralleled with Jacob, is the church triumphant, for that is the only SDA church that survives to the great time of trouble and appears as about to fall AND THEN DOES NOT FALL.

"And I saw the time of trouble, such as never was,--Jesus told me it was the time of Jacob's trouble, and that we should be delivered out of it by the voice of God. Just before we entered it, we all received the seal of the living God. Then I saw the four Angels cease to hold the four winds. And I saw famine, pestilence and sword, nation rose against nation, and the whole world was in confusion. Then we cried to God for deliverance day and night till we began to hear the bells on Jesus' garment. And I saw Jesus rise up in the Holiest, and as he came out we heard the tinkling of bells, and knew our High Priest was coming out. Then we heard the voice of God which shook the heavens and earth, and gave the 144,000 the day and hour of Jesus' coming. Then the saints were free, united and full of the glory of God, for he had turned their captivity." DS, March 14, 1846, par. 2.

"The people of God will then be plunged into those scenes of affliction and distress described by the prophet as the time of Jacob's trouble. "Thus saith the Lord: We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. . . . All faces are turned into paleness. Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it." Jeremiah 30:5-7.

Jacob's night of anguish, when he wrestled in prayer for deliverance from the hand of Esau (Genesis 32:24-30), represents the experience of God's people in the time of trouble. Because of the deception practiced to secure his father's blessing, intended for Esau, Jacob had fled for his life, alarmed by his brother's deadly threats. After remaining for many years an exile, he had set out, at God's command, to return with his wives and children, his flocks and herds, to his native country. On reaching the borders of the land, he was filled with terror by the tidings of Esau's approach at the head of a band of warriors, doubtless bent upon revenge. Jacob's company, unarmed and defenseless, seemed about to fall helpless victims of violence and slaughter. And to the burden of anxiety and fear was added the crushing weight of self-reproach, for it was his own sin that had brought this danger. His only hope was in the mercy of God; his only defense must be prayer. Yet he leaves nothing undone on his own part to atone for the wrong to his brother and to avert the threatened danger. So should the followers of Christ, as they approach the time of trouble, make every exertion to place themselves in a proper light before the people, to disarm prejudice, and to avert the danger which threatens liberty of conscience.

"The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil:

He shall preserve thy soul." "He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the Most High, thy habitation; there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling." Psalms 121:5-7; 91:3-10.

Yet to human sight it will appear that the people of God must soon seal their testimony with their blood as did the martyrs before them. They themselves begin to fear that the Lord has left them to fall by the hand of their enemies. It is a time of fearful agony. Day and night they cry unto God for deliverance. The wicked exult, and the jeering cry is heard: "Where now is your faith? Why does not God deliver you out of our hands if you are indeed His people?" But the waiting ones remember Jesus dying upon Calvary's cross and the chief priests and rulers shouting in mockery: "He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He be the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him." Matthew 27:42. Like Jacob, all are wrestling with God." The Great Controversy, pp. 629, 630.
