A Personal Testimony and Appeal to True and Faithful Seventh-day Adventists

Dear friends in the Lord,

I would like to relate a personal testimony.  Because of my zeal for witnessing to others, I was elected to the office of Personal Ministries Leader in my SDA church in the early 1980’s.  I raised the money for many boxes of The Great Controversy, and got a good group to go out and help distribute them on Sabbath afternoon.

After our second Sabbath of book distribution, a Catholic lady called the church pastor and complained about the book being distributed.  The pastor called the local Conference office and collaborated with the leaders there.  They decided that we must immediately cease and desist our efforts to distribute the remaining boxes of books.

Question:  Why should the work of God come to a halt because of one complaint or any number of complaints?  Should Jesus and His disciples have ceased their proclamation of the Everlasting Gospel to the then known world because of the complaints being registered against them?

It is well know to some of us that the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, in Washington D.C., has disowned and disclaimed a number of groups who encountered trouble for distributing The Great Controversy.  Ellen White, the gift of the Spirit of Prophecy to our church, said that the book Great Controversy should go to all the world.

The reason the General Conference has distanced itself from groups that have distributed The Great Controversy, is because the World Council of Churches and its subsidiary organizations, the various National Councils of Churches, and more localized Ministerial Associations, will not tolerate any member church trying to proselytize any who are already members of a church.  They specify that all members of the WCC and its subsidiaries must evangelize the “unchurched” only.

If member’s of the WCC and their subsidiary organizations do not comply, they will be denied discounted radio and television time which is controlled by the WCC and their National Councils around the world.  Elder B.B. Beach told me this over the phone.  He said that the church saves much money by being ecumenically linked to the organizations mentioned.

So now the three angel’s messages are being thwarted, watered down, and outright discarded by the church in order to have a presence on radio and television programming which differ little if any from those of Babylon.  This is a betrayal of sacred trust, the very mission and commission of God to professing Seventh-day Adventists, to take the Everlasting Gospel to the world.  So what next?!

"The Lord Jesus will always have a chosen people to serve Him. When the Jewish people rejected Christ, the Prince of life. He took from them the kingdom of God and gave it unto the Gentiles. God will continue to work on this principle with every branch of His work. When a church proves unfaithful to the work of the Lord, whatever their position may be, however high and sacred their calling, the Lord can no longer work with them. Others are then chosen to bear important responsibilities. But, if these in turn do not purify their lives from every wrong action, if they do not establish pure and holy principles in all their borders, then the Lord will grievously afflict and humble them and, unless they repent, will remove them from their place and make them a reproach.

God is not 'worshipped with men's hands, as tough he needed any thing' (Acts 17:25). E. G. White, The Upward Look, 131.

You, my faithful brothers and sisters, are the “OTHERS” who are not chosen to bear important responsibilities.  In the final loud cry the Holy Spirit will attend your efforts in the same manner He attended the efforts of the 12 and the Seventh who took the gospel to the then known world. Will you accept your responsibility?  If not, others will be called, but you will not be saved in neglecting such an important known duty.

For those of you who are too old to do the distributing, you can give of your means to those who are able to so work.  Friends, the times of playing church are over!  The eat, drink and be merry, and tomorrow will be better than today times (Isaiah 56:10-12, with emphasis on verse 12) are over for those who want to be saved.  All who are saved will be found doing the works of Christ, and His prime work now is to take the gospel to the world as a witness, that the end of sin might come.

Notice:  "No one can believe with the heart unto righteousness, and obtain justification by faith, while continuing the practice of those things which the Word of God forbids, or while neglecting any known duty....As God works in the heart, and man surrenders his will to God, and co-operates with God, he works out in the life what God WORKS IN by the Holy Spirit, and there is harmony between the purpose of the heart and the practice of the life. Every sin must be renounced as the hateful thing that crucified the Lord of life and glory....It is by continual surrender of the will, by continual obedience, that the blessing of justification is retained." E.G. White, Selected Messages, vol. 1, pp. 396-397.

The only option now is to organize a group of dedicated folk who will fulfill the gospel commission and go out and distribute the message yourselves!  The church is not going to do it, and that is why the last message was not committed to the leaders of God’s people—See this link:  https://members.tripod.com/omega77/threeangelsleaders.htm

Take the tithe, buy the books, and do the work yourselves and/or support an independent ministry that is so engaged.  No longer support a New Movement that has removed God, and proven unfaithful to the work of the Lord—the faithful sounding of the three angel’s messages to the world.  The Lord has shown me in no indefinite way that this is how the final call will be made because the last message was not to be committed to the leaders of God’s people for obvious reasons.

It is all according to the PREFIGURE TYPE of Christ and His disciples, and what occurred in the TYPE from A.D. 27, to the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70.  In that PREFIGURE, Christ gathered out those who would give the gospel to the world.  So it is now at the end-time in the antitype of that PREFIGURE.

Christ was a protestant...The Reformers date back to Christ and the apostles. They came out and separated themselves from a religion of forms and ceremonies. Luther and his followers did not invent the reformed religion. They simply accepted it as presented by Christ and the apostles." E.G. White, Review and Herald, vol. 2, 48, col. 2.

“The Sanhedrin had rejected Christ's message and was bent upon His death therefore Jesus departed from Jerusalem, from the priests, the temple, the religious leaders, the people who had been instructed in the law, and turned to another class to proclaim His message, and to gather out those who should carry the gospel to all nations.

As the light and life of men was rejected by the ecclesiastical authorities in the days of Christ, so it has been rejected in every succeeding generation. Again and again the history of Christ's withdrawal from Judea has been repeated. When the Reformers preached the word of God, they had no thought of separating themselves from the established church but the religious leaders would not tolerate the light, and those that bore it were forced to seek another class, who were longing for the truth. In our day few of the professed followers of the Reformers are actuated by their spirit. Few are listening for the voice of God, and ready to accept truth in whatever guise it may be presented. Often those who follow in the steps of the Reformers are forced to turn away from the churches they love, in order to declare the plain teaching of the word of God. And many times those who are seeking for light are by the same teaching obliged to leave the church of their fathers, that they may render obedience.” E.G. White, Desire of Ages, 232.

God bless,
