Joel 2 in Type and Antitype—Call to a
Solemn Assembly
Part II
Joe 1:14 Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders
and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and
cry unto the LORD,
Joe 2:15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn
assembly:
Joe 2:17 Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to
reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say
among the people, Where is their God?
Zep 2:1 Gather yourselves together,
yea, gather together, O nation not desired;
Zep 3:18 I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are
of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden.
Zep 2:1 Gather yourselves together,
yea, gather together, O nation not desired;
“The
Lord will not write as wise those who cannot distinguish between a tree that
bears thorn-berries and a tree that bears olives.” {EGW, RH, September 7, 1897
par. 15}
"It
is IMPOSSIBLE for you to unite with those who are
corrupt, and still remain pure. (II Corinthians 6:14-15 quoted). God and Christ
and the heavenly host would have men know that if he unites with the corrupt he
will become corrupt." E. G. White, Review
and Herald, Vol. 4, p. 137.
“The Lord will not write as wise those who
cannot distinguish between a tree that bears thorn-berries and a tree that
bears olives. Individually, we are
deciding our eternal destiny, deciding whether we shall enjoy the highest honor
that can be given to man, even an eternal weight of glory, or be ranked with
Satan by possessing his character, by dishonoring God because we profess to be
Christians while misrepresenting Christ. Those who choose to reveal the
character of the arch-deceiver identify themselves with him beyond the
possibility of a change, because they choose not to see themselves as wrong.
This was the course that Satan pursued.” {RH September 7, 1897, par. 16}
"Thorns
sprung up.--The thorns made it impossible
for the wheat to mature (see Luke 8:14). In the same way secular
interests prevent the fruits of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22, 23) from reaching
maturity. Religion is relegated to the subordinate position of being only one
interest among many. For lack of cultivation it withers and eventually dies.
That which the thorny-ground hearers lack is a moral transformation. To them,
justification is the sum and substance of religion, and they fail to realize
that the Christian life consists essentially in the process known as
sanctification--the process by which evil traits and tendencies are replaced by
the perfect life-pattern of Jesus Christ." Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary, Vol. 5, 405.
This
is precisely what New Movement Seventh-day Adventists (Selected Messages, bk.. 1, 204-205), teach—that
justification is the sum and substance of religion!
The
fallen churches teach justification only, which means sin/confess, sin/confess!
They believe they are righteous and sanctified by proxy in Christ, rather than
CHRIST IN THEM AND THROUGH THEM, AND THEY IN CHRIST. That is the Doctrine of
the Nicolaitans which God especially hates. I have heard SDA elders on some
Adventist forums say that we need to accept the Gospel taught by the other
churches; that they have it right and SDA’s have it all wrong. They call their
false gospel “righteousness by faith,” but it is a complete turning of true
righteousness by faith on its head.
The
1888 message has been turned on its head. How? Why? The new movement leaders
make it sound like they believe in righteousness by faith, but it is a false
definition of faith. They believe and teach AGAINST LAST GENERATION THEOLOGY,
which teaches true righteousness by faith, meaning that we receive grace as
POWER for obedience and apostleship, Rom. 1:5. The apostate leaders are
teaching the very same gospel as the other fallen churches. They are teaching
“only believe,” “cheap grace” that provides PARDON ONLY, because they don’t
want the POWER part of “grace” which is available for obedience and
sanctification. And the people love to have it so, because they love an “easy
street” religion. They are marinating in their sins and they don’t want GRACE
AS POWER (Rom. 1:5) to overcome sin.
The
1888 message taught a form of faith that believed ENABLING POWER (Rom. 1:5) is
available for obedience, when one partakes of the Divine Nature of Christ,
which is His highest good, crowning gift, that heaven can bestow.
2Pe
1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by
these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the
corruption that is in the world through lust.
New
Movement SDA leaders hate what M. L. Andreasen referred to as “Last Generation
Theology,” meaning a perfected remnant at the end-time, who will stand as the
bride of Christ, the 144,000, Philadelphia. They teach that it is IMPOSSIBLE to
overcome all known sin this side of glorification. That is a flat-out denial of
God’s Word in Revelation 14:1-4, where His bride, the 144,000, are without fault.
This flies in the face of all the apostate SDA leaders who say it is
IMPOSSIBLE!
Jesus
came in the likeness of our sinful nature in order to
prove that we can overcome sin as He did. He gives the gift of His Divine
Nature Holy Spirit to make it all possible. Any denial that it is possible, is
a direct denial of the reason for His Incarnation sacrifice. The leaders try to
convince the laity that Jesus was different from us because He was sired by the
Holy Ghost, and we aren’t. But Jesus promised His Divine Nature Holy Spirit
when we are born again, to enable us to obey as He did. That levels the playing
field. Denial of this fact, is denial of the very
reason Jesus came as a man, and the Highest good, crowning gift He sacrificed
for us.
The
anti-final generation theology teaching rampant in new movement Adventism
today, is as antichrist as antichrist can get. It is one of the worst
abominations for which we are to sigh and cry. The gospel being taught is a
half gospel consisting of
“cheap grace,” and PARDON only, rather than the POWER of the Holy
Spirit. They thus deny, denude, and denigrate the Holy Spirit’s power which is
Christ’s highest good, crowning gift to us. When we are TRULY born again, we
receive that raw, enabling power, and we come to appreciate the great sacrifice
that made His power available, so that we come to the point that we would
rather die than sin against Him.
Another
related aspect to end-time generation theology, is the Bible’s evidence that
God is waiting for the bride to make herself ready, to wit:
Rev
19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to
him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself
ready.
· "Characteristics of True Reformers.—Here are given the
characteristics of those who shall be reformers, who will bear the banner of
the third angel's message, those who avow themselves God's
commandment-keeping people, and who honor God, and are earnestly engaged, in
the sight of all the universe, in building up the old waste
places. Who is it that calls them, The
repairers of the breach, The restorers of paths to dwell in? It is God. Their
names are registered [written--Heb. 12:22, 23] in heaven as reformers,
restorers, as raising the foundations of many generations." E.
G. White, SDA
Bible Commentary, Vol. 4, 1151, & Review and Herald, Oct. 13, 1891.
· “It is no argument against the truth
that there are few who are willing to accept it. Few accepted the world's
Redeemer. Though the multitude flocked around him, eager to receive temporal
blessings, yet he sadly declared: "Ye will not come to me that ye might
have life." Men are now no more favorable to practical godliness; they are
just as intently seeking earthly good, to the neglect of eternal riches. And reformers of the present day will meet with the
same discouragements as did their Master. {ST, January 28, 1886 par. 3}
· The True Reformers are the 144,000 who lift up the standard by restoring the old waste places, by gathering out the stones (heresies that have entered the church) and by repairing the breach that has been made in the truth by teaching the original truths and pillar doctrines of the pioneers.
· They will lead out in giving
the Final Loud Midnight Cry. Verse 11 is a paraphrase of the Midnight Cry,
Matthew 25, “Behold the Bridegroom cometh, go ye out to meet Him.” Also, COL,
405, 406.
·
“The marriage
represents the reception by Christ of His kingdom. The Holy City, the New Jerusalem, which
is the capital and representative of the kingdom, is called "the bride,
the Lamb's wife." Said the angel to John: "Come hither, I will show
thee the bride, the Lamb's wife." "He carried me away in the
spirit," says the prophet, "and showed me that great city, the holy
Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God." Revelation 21:9, 10.
Clearly, then, the bride represents the Holy City, and
the virgins that go out to meet the bridegroom are a symbol of the church. In
the Revelation the people of God are said to be the guests at the
marriage supper. Revelation 19:9. If guests, they cannot be represented also as
the bride. Christ, as stated by the prophet Daniel, will receive
from the Ancient of Days in heaven, "dominion, and glory, and a
kingdom;" He will receive the New Jerusalem, the capital of His kingdom,
"prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." Daniel 7:14;
Revelation 21:2. The Great Controversy,
pp. 426, 427.
·
The bride is likened
unto the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, the name God gives her in Revelation
3:10-12.
·
The bride is the
earthly REPRESENTATIVE of the Holy City (Church in heaven, Zion, Heb. 12:22,
23).
·
Rev 19:9 And he saith
unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of
the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true
sayings of God.
·
The guests are
called to the marriage supper by the voice of God and the voice of the bride,
to wit:
“Christ with His disciples is seated upon the Mount of Olives. The sun has set behind
the mountains, and the heavens are curtained with the shades of evening. In
full view is a dwelling
house lighted up brilliantly as if for some festive scene. The light
streams from the openings, and an expectant company wait around, indicating that a marriage procession
is soon to appear. In many parts of the East, wedding festivities are
held in the evening. The bridegroom goes forth to meet
his bride and bring her to his home. By torchlight the bridal party proceed
from her father's house to his own, where a feast is provided for the invited
guests. In the scene upon which Christ looks, a company are awaiting
the appearance of the bridal party, intending to join the procession.
Lingering
near the bride's house are ten young women robed in white. Each carries a lighted lamp and a small flagon for oil.
All are anxiously watching for the appearance
of the
bridegroom. But there is a delay. Hour after hour passes; the watchers become
weary and fall asleep. At midnight the cry is heard,
"Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him." The sleepers,
suddenly awaking, spring to their feet. They see the
procession moving on, bright with torches and glad with
music. They hear the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.
The ten maidens seize their lamps and begin to trim them, in haste to go
forth. But five have neglected to fill their flasks with oil. They did not
anticipate so long a delay, and they have not prepared for the emergency. In
distress they appeal to their wiser companions saying, "Give us of your
oil; for our lamps are going out." (Margin.) But the waiting five, with
their freshly trimmed lamps, have emptied their flagons. They have no oil to
spare, and they answer, "Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you:
but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for
yourselves."
While they went to buy, the procession moved
on, and left them behind. The five with lighted lamps joined the throng and
entered the house with the bridal train, and the door was shut. When the
foolish virgins reached the banqueting hall, they received an unexpected
denial. The master of the feast declared, "I know you not." They were
left standing without, in the empty street, in the blackness of the night.
As Christ sat looking upon the party that
waited for the bridegroom, He told His disciples the story of the ten virgins,
by their experience illustrating the experience of the church that shall live
just before His second coming.
The two classes of watchers represent the
two classes who profess to be waiting for their Lord. They are called virgins
because they profess a pure faith. By the lamps is represented the word of God.
The psalmist says, ‘Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto may path.’" Christ’s
Object Lessons, p. 405, 406.
· The dwelling hour lighted up brilliantly is the church
triumphant lighted by the advanced light of the Holy Spirit gift to the church,
the Spirit of Prophecy.
· The expectant company lingering near the bride’s house,
BUT NOT AT IT OR IN IT, are the guests, the members of the church militant, the
ten virgins of Matthew 25, who are concubines and not pure virgins as is the
bethulah bride of Christ, because they dwell in a church that is defiled by
heresy that in effect denies the Incarnation sacrifice of Christ, by teaching
since 1980, Rome’s Central Doctrine, the Trinity Doctrine, which teaches that
there are three co-ETERNAL persons to the Godhead, when
the THIRD PERSON is not eternal, but
was/is the result of the Incarnation sacrifice which produced the humanity
person of Christ. Before the Incarnation, there were only TWO PERSONS to the
Godhead, the Father and the Son. The Incarnation of the Son into humanity
FOREVER, produced another ADOPTED into the Godhead person, making THREE PERSONS
TO THE GODHEAD—two who are CO-ETERNAL, and one that IS NOT CO-ETERNAL with the
Father and the Son. This Omega heresy sweeps away the entire Christian economy
because it denies the heavenly Sanctuary/ATONEMENT sacrifice that produced a
THIRD PERSON, by teaching that person is co-ETERNAL with the other two. Thus,
as in the Alpha heresy, THE SANCTUARY IS GONE, THE ATONEMENT IS GONE. This is
what sweeps away the entire Christian economy, by in effect denying the act
that constituted the Atonement for man’s sin. Some foolish
virgin types, think this truth about the Godhead is not important, when
it involves “the highest good, crowning gift that heaven can bestow.”
· “By torchlight the bridal party proceed from her father's
house to his own, where a feast is provided for the invited guests.” The bride
is led by the torchlight of the Spirit of Prophecy and the Bible, to proceed
from her father’s house (the Synagogue of Satan), to His own house. They enter
the heavenly Sanctuary church by faith (Early
Writings, pp. 251, 255), and it is thus that they are the earthly
representatives of the church in heaven.
·
Early Writings, pp. 251, 255: “I saw that while Jesus was in the most holy place He
would be married to the New Jerusalem; and after His work should be
accomplished in the holiest, He would descend to the earth in kingly power and
take to Himself the precious ones who had patiently waited His return.” Early Writings, p. 251.
·
“It was represented to
me that the remnant followed Jesus into the most holy place and beheld the ark
and the mercy seat, and were captivated with their
glory. Jesus then raised the cover of the ark, and lo! the tables of stone,
with the ten commandments written upon them. They trace down the lively oracles, but start back with trembling when they see the
fourth commandment among the ten holy precepts, with a brighter light shining
upon it than upon the other nine, and a halo of glory all around it. They find
nothing there informing them that the Sabbath has been abolished,
or changed to the first day of the week. The commandment reads as when
spoken by the voice of God in solemn and awful grandeur upon the mount, while
the lightnings flashed and the thunders rolled; it is the same as when written
with His own finger on the tables of stone: “Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: but the seventh day is the
Sabbath of the Lord thy God.” They are amazed as they behold the care taken of
the ten commandments. They see them placed close by Jehovah, overshadowed and
protected by His holiness. They see that they have been trampling upon the
fourth commandment of the decalogue, and have observed
a
256
day handed down by the heathen and papists, instead of the day sanctified by Jehovah.
They humble themselves before God and mourn over their past transgressions.
I saw the incense in the censer smoke as Jesus offered
their confessions and prayers to His Father. And as it ascended, a bright light
rested upon Jesus and upon the mercy seat; and the earnest, praying ones, who
were troubled because they had discovered themselves to be transgressors of
God’s law, were blessed, and their countenances lighted up with hope and joy.
They joined in the work of the third angel and raised their voices to proclaim
the solemn warning. But few at first received it; yet the faithful continued
with energy to proclaim the message. Then I saw many embrace
the message of the third angel and unite their voices with those who had first
given the warning, and they honored God by observing His sanctified rest day.” Early Writings, 255, 256.
· The church triumphant (Zion, the Church in heaven Heb.
12:22, 23) has had earthly representatives in every generation via True
Reformers, faithful men, who would come to the aid of the church militant
(wheat and tare co-ed church) if that church would accept the aid the True
Reformers furnish(ed). But alas, the ecclesiastical leaders have always spurned
the ever unfolding light and would not tolerate it. DA

"The members of the
church triumphant--the church in heaven--will be permitted to draw near to the
members of the church militant, to aid them in their necessity." E. G.
White, The Southern Watchman, Sep. 8, 1903.
· The 144,000 are the faithful
men referred to as THE THIRD ANGEL WHO SELECT THE WHEAT FROM THE TARES BY THEIR
SHAKING MESSAGE:
"I then saw the THIRD
ANGEL. Said my accompanying angel, 'Fearful is his work. Awful is his mission.
He is the angel that is to select the wheat from the tares,
and seal, or bind, the wheat for the heavenly garner." E.G. White, Early Writings, 118.
Third Angel—“No one hears
the voice of these angels, for they are a symbol to represent the people of God
who are working in harmony with the universe of heaven. Men and women, enlightened by the Spirit of
God and sanctified through the truth, proclaim the three messages in their
order.” E.G. White, Selected
Messages, Bk. 2, p. 387.
·
The 144,000 are the
counterpart to the disciples to whom Christ said all whom they bound/bind
(sealed/seal) on earth are bound (sealed) in heaven.
"Verily I say unto you," Christ continued, "whatsoever ye shall
bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth
shall be loosed in heaven." Verse 18. This statement holds its force
in all ages. On the church has been conferred the power to act in
Christ's stead. It is God's instrumentality for the preservation of order and
discipline among His people. To it the Lord has delegated the power to settle
all questions respecting its prosperity, purity, and order. Upon it rests the
responsibility of excluding from its fellowship those who are unworthy, who by
their un-Christlike conduct would bring dishonor on the truth. Whatever the
church does that is in accordance with the directions given in God's word will
be ratified in heaven.” Testimonies,
Vol. 7, p. 263.’
On the church triumphant, the bride, has been conferred
this power to act in Christ’s stead. Whomever responds to the Midnight Loud Cry
by the voice of God and the voice of the bride, are bound (sealed) on earth as
in heaven. They are sealed by their acceptance of the pure truth. It is by this
pure truth that they are led out of apostate Jerusalem into home churches, just
as occurred in the prefigure type of Christ’s and the disciple’s day. There is
ONE MORE COMING OUT, from apostate Jerusalem, and from apostate Babylon. Most
SDA’s are not aware of the final gathering OUT from apostate Jerusalem, to wit:
Isa 37:31 And the
remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward,
and bear fruit upward:
Isa 37:32 For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that
escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.
Did Isaiah
write for us as well as the Jews?
"The Bible for Our Time.--Never are we
absent from the mind of God. God is our joy and our salvation. Each of the ancient prophets spoke less for their own time than for ours,
so that their prophesying is in force for us. 'Now all these
things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our
admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come' (1 Cor. 10:11).
'Not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now
reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy
Ghost sent down from heaven which things the angels desire to look into' (1
Peter 1:12).'" E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk. 3, p. 338.
Prophets Wrote for Their Own and Our Day.—“The last books of the Old
Testament show us workers taken from the laborers in the field. Others were men
of high ability and extensive learning, but the Lord gave them visions and
messages. These men of the Old Testament spoke of things transpiring in their
day, and Daniel, Isaiah, and Ezekiel not only spoke of things that concerned
them as present truth, but their sights reached down to the future, and to what
should occur in these last days.”--Letter 132, 1898.
{3SM 419.5, 420}
“Enoch, the seventh from Adam, was ever prophesying the coming of the
Lord. This great event had been revealed to him in vision. Abel, though dead,
is ever speaking of the blood of Christ which alone can make our offerings and
gifts perfect. The Bible has accumulated and bound up together its treasures
for this last generation. All the great events and solemn transactions of Old Testament history
have been, and are, repeating themselves in the church in these last days. There is Moses still speaking,
teaching self-renunciation by wishing himself blotted from the Book of Life for
his fellow men, that they might be saved. David is leading the intercession of
the church for the salvation of souls to the ends of the earth. The prophets
are still testifying of the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should
follow. There the whole accumulated truths are presented in force to us that we
may profit by their teachings. We are under the influence of the whole. What
manner of persons ought we to be to whom all this rich light of inheritance has
been given. Concentrating all the influence of the past with new and increased
light of the present, accrued power is given to all who will follow the light.
Their faith will increase, and be brought into exercise at
the present time, awakening an energy and an intensely increased
earnestness, and through dependence upon God for His power to replenish the
world and send the light of the Sun of Righteousness to the ends of the earth.”
{7MR 417.2}
The Church
Militant and the World are the Field Where the Tares are Burned
"The 'field,' Christ said, 'is the world.' But we must understand
this as signifying the church of Christ in the world. The parable is a
description of that which pertains to the kingdom of God, His work of salvation
of men and this work is accomplished through the church. True, the Holy Spirit
has gone out into all the world everywhere it is moving upon the hearts of men but it is in the church that we
are to grow and ripen for the garner of God." Christ's Object
Lessons, p. 70.
Most professing Seventh-day Adventists are amazed and astounded to hear
that the field where tares are burned is the world, “BUT WE MUST UNDERSTAND
THIS AS SIGNIFYING THE CHURCH OF CHRIST IN THE WORLD.”
In A.D. 70, the once chosen Jewish church that fell into
apostasy, became THE FIELD where the tares were gathered and burned. Just read
Ezekiel 22:17-31 for a blow by blow description of this truth. God’s garner is
in heaven. He lets the tares destroy themselves on this earth. And all this is why there is one more COMING OUT FROM JERUSALEM, AS
WELL AS BABYLON. The final Midnight Loud Cry is to all formally organized
churches, because at the end-time, God indicts them all as doing their own
thing. The same author who wrote Isaiah 37:31, 32, wrote the following, and in
NO WAY did he contradict himself:
Isa 4:1 And
in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own
bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take
away our reproach.
Isa 4:2 In that day shall the
branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of
the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
Isa 4:3 And
it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he
that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is
written among the living in Jerusalem:
Isa 4:4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of
the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood
of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the
spirit of burning.
As earlier stated, in the Bible women are a symbol of the church. God
has shown me the following interpretation of the above verses:
· Seven women means ALL FORMALLY
ORGANIZED CHURCHES AT THE END-TIME, for the number 7 denotes COMPLETION—ALL.
· All churches are eating their
own bread (the commandments of men in lieu of the commandmets
of God). They are wearing their own apparel (their own robes of
self-righteousness) rather than the righteousness of Christ.
· They want to be called
Christian to take away their reproach which is all the abominations they
imbibe, so that we are instructed by God that we are to sigh and cry for all
their abominations, and that only those who do sigh and cry will receive the
mark (seal) of the Man in Linen.
· When Isaiah says “…he that is
left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem,” HE MEANS TRUE ZION AND TRUE
JERUSALEM. Remember that in the TYPE OF ISRAEL, there were TWO JERUSALEMS AND
TWO ZIONS:
1.
The apostate Jewish Temple with its headquarters in Jerusalem.
2.
The “gathered out” Christian church with its HEADQUARTERS in Jerusalem,
which was TRUE ZION, TRUE JERUSALEM. You can KNOW this is true by the following
words of the same author, Isaiah, which depict EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED from A.D.
27-66, at which time all faithful “gathered out” Christian Jews fled to Pella
in the land of Pearea.
A Most Startling Message—The Ellen G. White Prophecy Depicting the Fall
of the SDA Church Militant (Wheat and Tare Co-ed Church)
The angel represented in prophecy as delivering
this message, symbolizes a class of faithful men, who obedient to the
promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning
to the inhabitants of earth. This message WAS NOT to be committed to the
religious leaders of the people." E.. White, The Spirit of
Prophecy,
Vol. 4, 199, 200.
“Jesus sends HIS
PEOPLE a message of warning to prepare them for his coming. To the
prophet John was made known the closing work in the great plan of man's
redemption. He beheld an angel flying 'in the midst of heaven, having the
everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to
every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice,
Fear God, and give glory to him for the hour of his Judgment is come and
worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of
waters [Rev. 14:6, 7.].
The angel represented in prophecy as delivering
this message, symbolizes a class of faithful men, who, obedient to the promptings of
God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the
inhabitants of earth. This message
was not to be committed to the religious leaders of the people. They
had failed to preserve their connection with God, and
had REFUSED THE LIGHT FROM HEAVEN therefore they WERE NOT of the number
described by the apostle Paul: 'But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that
that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and
the children of the day we are not of the night nor of darkness' [1 Thess. 5:4,
5].
The watchmen
upon the walls of Zion should be the first to catch the tidings of the
Saviour's advent, the first to lift their voices to proclaim him near, the
first to warn the people to prepare for his coming. But they were at ease,
dreaming of peace and safety, while the people were asleep in their sins. Jesus
saw HIS CHURCH, like the barren fig-tree, covered with pretentious
leaves, yet destitute of precious fruit. There was a boastful observance of the
forms of religion, while the spirit of true humility, penitence and
faith--which alone could render the service acceptable to God--was lacking.
Instead of the graces of the Spirit, there were manifested pride, formalism,
vainglory, selfishness, oppression. A
BACKSLIDING CHURCH closed their eyes to the signs of the times. God did
nor forsake them, or suffer his faithfulness to fail
but they departed from him, and SEPARATED THEMSELVES from his love. As they REFUSED TO COMPLY WITH THE CONDITIONS, his promises were
NOT FULFILLED to them." E.G. White, The Spirit of Prophecy,
vol. 4, pp. 199-200 [The 1884 edition of The Great Controversy,
199, 200]. (Full statement)
"The Sanhedrin had rejected Christ's message
and was bent upon His death therefore Jesus departed from Jerusalem, from the priests, the
temple, the religious leaders, the people who had been instructed in the law,
and turned to another class to proclaim His message, and to gather out those who should carry
the gospel to all nations. As the light and life of men was rejected by
the ecclesiastical authorities in the days of Christ, so it has been rejected in every succeeding generation.
Again and again the history of Christ's withdrawal
from Judea has been repeated. When the Reformers preached the word of God, they
had no thought of separating themselves from the established church
but the religious leaders
would not tolerate the light, and those that bore it were forced to seek
another class, who were longing for the truth. In our day few of the professed
followers of the Reformers are actuated by their spirit. Few are listening for the voice
of God, and ready to accept truth in whatever guise it may be presented.
Often those who follow in the steps of the Reformers are forced to turn away
from the churches they love, in order to declare the
plain teaching of the word of God. And many times
those who are seeking for light are by the same teaching obliged to leave the
church of their fathers, that they may render obedience." E.G. White, Desire of Ages, p. 232.
Serious Observations: The above statement is very serious, and should be prayed over and meditated upon
frequently. There is much salvational teaching in the
statement by way of presenting SOME VERY IMPORTANT CONDITIONS OF SALVATION.
· Jesus turned to another class,
and “gathered out” those who were to carry the gospel to all nations.
· The principles of Christ have
been rejected by ecclesiastical authorities in EVERY SUCCEEDING GENERATION
since Christ.
· True Reformers were forced to
leave the church of their fathers FOR ONE REASON: The religious leaders would
not tolerate advancing light, and Ellen White said that light is to be ever
unfolding. God made His people to have high intelligence, and He knew that such
minds would need new and ever unfolding light to hold their interest. But this
has not happened in the apostate church, so the young get restless and
disinterested, and go out the back door about as soon as they enter the front.
· True Reformers have left the
church of their fathers in every succeeding generation.
· We are to accept truth in
whatever guise it may be presented to us, without bias and prejudice as to who
bears it, because Ellen White said that the messengers God chooses are weak and
erring men, as were Christ’s disciples before they were fully converted.
· Often those who follow the
principles of truth, are forced to turn away from the churches they love, in order to delare the plain truth
of the Word of God.
· Many times, those who are
seeking for light, are by the same principles obliged to leave the church of
their fathers that they may render obedience. All churches have a set of
fundamental beliefs, and when those beliefs include heresy, one must leave lest
he/she be corporately responsible for the apostasy, and to render obedience to
Biblical principles.
“For a time the
Baptist's influence over the nation had been greater than that of its rulers,
priests, or princes. If he had announced himself as the Messiah, and raised a
revolt against Rome, priests and people would have flocked to his standard. Every consideration that appeals to the ambition of the
world's conquerors Satan had stood ready to urge upon John the Baptist. But with the evidence before him of his power, he had
steadfastly refused the splendid bribe. The attention which was fixed upon him
he had directed to Another.
Now he saw the tide of popularity turning
away from himself to the Saviour. Day by day the crowds about him lessened.
When Jesus came from Jerusalem to the region about Jordan, the people flocked
to hear Him. The number of His disciples
increased daily. Many came for baptism, and while Christ Himself did not baptize, He sanctioned the
administration of the ordinance by His disciples.
Thus He set His seal upon the mission of His
forerunner. But the disciples of John
looked with jealousy upon the growing popularity of Jesus. They stood ready to
criticize His work, and it was not long before they found occasion. A question
arose between them and the Jews as to whether baptism availed to cleanse the
soul from sin; they maintained that the baptism of Jesus differed essentially
from that of John. Soon they were in dispute with Christ's disciples in regard to the form of words proper to use at baptism, and
finally as to the right of the latter to baptize at all.
The disciples of John came to him with their
grievances, saying, "Rabbi, He that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom
thou bearest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to
Him." Through these words, Satan brought temptation upon John. Though
John's mission seemed about to close, it was still possible for him to hinder
the work of Christ. If he had sympathized with himself, and expressed grief or
disappointment at being superseded, he would have sown the seeds of dissension,
would have encouraged envy and jealousy, and would seriously have impeded the
progress of the gospel.
John
had by nature the faults and weaknesses common to humanity, but the touch of
divine love had transformed him. He dwelt in an atmosphere uncontaminated with
selfishness and ambition, and far above the miasma of jealousy. He manifested no sympathy with the dissatisfaction of
his disciples, but showed how clearly he understood
his relation to the Messiah, and how gladly he welcomed the
One for whom he had prepared the way.
He said, "A man can receive nothing,
except it be given him from heaven. Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said,
I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before Him. He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the
friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly
because of the bridegroom's voice." John represented himself as the friend
who acted as a messenger between the betrothed parties, preparing the way for
the marriage. When the bridegroom had received his
bride, the mission of the friend was fulfilled. He rejoiced in the
happiness of those whose union he had promoted. So
John had been called to direct the people to Jesus, and it was his joy to
witness the success of the Saviour's work. He said, "This my joy therefore
is fulfilled. He must increase, but I must decrease."
Looking in faith to the Redeemer, John had
risen to the height of self-abnegation. He sought not to attract men to
himself, but to lift their thoughts higher and still higher, until they should
rest upon the Lamb of God. He himself had been only a voice, a cry in the
wilderness. Now with joy he accepted silence and obscurity, that the eyes of
all might be turned to the Light of life.
Those
who are true to their calling as messengers for God will not seek honor for
themselves. Love for self will be swallowed up in love for Christ. No rivalry
will mar the precious cause of the gospel. They will recognize that it is their
work to proclaim, as did John the Baptist,
"Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh
away the sin of the world." John 1:29. They will lift up
Jesus, and with Him humanity will be lifted up. "Thus
saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I
dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and
humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of
the contrite ones." Isa. 57:15.
The
soul of the prophet, emptied of self, was filled with the light of the divine. As he witnessed to the Saviour's glory, his words were
almost a counterpart of those that Christ Himself had spoken in His interview
with Nicodemus. John said, "He that cometh from above is above all: he
that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: He that cometh from
heaven is above all. . . . For He whom God hath sent
speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto
Him." Christ could say, "I seek not Mine own will, but the will of
the Father which hath sent Me." John 5:30. To Him it is declared,
"Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even
Thy God, hath anointed Thee with the oil of gladness above Thy fellows."
Heb. 1:9. The Father "giveth not the Spirit by measure unto Him."
So with the followers of Christ. We can receive of
heaven's light only as we are willing to be emptied of self. We cannot discern the
character of God, or accept Christ by faith, unless we consent to the bringing
into captivity of every thought to the obedience of Christ. To all who do this
the Holy Spirit is given without measure. In Christ "dwelleth all the
fullness of the Godhead bodily, and in Him ye are made full." Col. 2:9, 10, R. V.
The disciples of John had declared that all
men were coming to Christ; but with clearer insight, John said, "No man
receiveth His witness;" so few were ready to accept Him as the Saviour
from sin. But "he that hath received His witness hath set his seal to
this, that God is true." John 3:33, R. V. "He that believeth on the
Son hath everlasting life." No need of disputation as to whether Christ's
baptism or John's purified from sin. It is the grace of Christ that gives life
to the soul. Apart from Christ, baptism, like any other service, is a worthless
form. "He that believeth not the Son shall not see life."
The success of Christ's work, which the
Baptist had received with such joy, was reported also to the authorities at
Jerusalem. The priests and rabbis had been jealous of John's influence as they saw the people leaving the
synagogues and flocking to the wilderness; but here was One who had still
greater power to attract the multitudes. Those leaders in Israel were not willing to say with
John, "He must increase, but I must decrease." They arose with a new
determination to put an end to the work that was drawing the people away from
them.
Jesus knew that they would spare no effort
to create a division between His own disciples and those of John. He knew that
the storm was gathering which would sweep away one of the greatest prophets
ever given to the world. Wishing to avoid all occasion for misunderstanding or
dissension, He quietly ceased His labors, and withdrew to Galilee. We also,
while loyal to truth, should try to avoid all that may lead to discord and
misapprehension. For whenever these arise, they result in the loss of souls.
Whenever circumstances occur that threaten to cause division, we should follow
the example of Jesus and of John the Baptist.
John had been called to lead out as a
reformer. Because of this, his disciples
were in danger of fixing their attention upon him, feeling that the success of
the work depended upon his labors, and losing sight of the fact that he was
only an instrument through which God had wrought. But the work of John was not
sufficient to lay the foundation of the
Christian
church. When he had fulfilled his mission, another work was to be done, which his
testimony could not accomplish. His disciples did not understand this. When
they saw Christ coming in to take the work, they were jealous and dissatisfied.
The same dangers still exist. God calls
a man to do a certain work; and when he has carried it as far as he is
qualified to take it, the Lord brings in others, to carry it still farther. But, like John's disciples, many feel that the success
of the work depends on the first laborer. Attention is fixed upon the human
instead of the divine, jealousy comes in, and the work of God is marred. The
one thus unduly honored is tempted to cherish self-confidence. He does not
realize his dependence on God. The people are taught to rely on man for
guidance, and thus they fall into error, and are led away from God.
The work of God is not to bear the image and
superscription of man. From time to time the Lord will bring in different
agencies, through whom His purpose can best be accomplished. Happy are they who
are willing for self to be humbled, saying with John the Baptist, "He must
increase, but I must decrease." Desire
of Ages, 179-182.

interest among many. For lack of cultivation it withers and eventually dies.
That which the thorny-ground hearers lack is a moral transformation [E.G.

"Christ has plainly
taught that those who persist in open sin must be separated from the church, but
He has not committed to us the work of judging character and motive. He knows our nature too well to entrust this
work to us. Should we try to uproot from
the church those whom we suppose to be spurious Christians, we should be sure
to make mistakes. Often
we regard as hopeless subjects the very one whom Christ is drawing to Himself,
it would perhaps extinguish their last hope.
Many who think themselves Christians will at last be found wanting. Many will be in heaven who their neighbors

church stands accountable for them. The deep movings
of the Spirit of God are not with them; the glorious presence of the King of
saints, and his power to cleanse from all moral defilement, are not manifest
among them. Many come to the assembly as worshipers, like the door upon its
hinges. They understand not the true application of the Scriptures, nor the
power of God. They have eyes, but they see not; ears have they, but they hear
not; they continue in their evil ways, yet regard themselves as the privileged,
obedient people who are doers of the word. A carnal security and ease in Zion
prevail. Peace, peace, is sounded in her borders, when God has not spoken
peace. They have forfeited the terms of peace; there is reason for an alarm to
be sounded in all "my holy mountain." The sinners in Zion should be
afraid, in a time when they do not expect it, sudden destruction will surely
come upon all who are at ease.” {RH, December 23, 1890 par. 10}

Jesus was a Reformer.

The first act of Jesus’ ministry was to call a solemn assembly and “gather

Paul was a Reformer.

We are supposed to be Reformers said Ellen White.
7.
In every succeeding generation since Christ, there has been True
Reformers who constitute/constituted the church triumphant.

"The Sanhedrin had rejected Christ's message and was bent upon His
death therefore Jesus departed from Jerusalem, from the priests, the temple,
the religious leaders, the people who had been instructed in the law, and
turned to another class to proclaim His message, and to gather out those who should carry the gospel to all nations.
As the light and life of men
was rejected by the ecclesiastical authorities in the days of Christ, so it has
been rejected in every succeeding generation. Again
and again the history of Christ's withdrawal from Judea has been repeated. When the Reformers preached the word of
God, they had no thought of separating themselves from the established church but the religious leaders would not tolerate the light, and those
that bore it were forced to seek another class, who were longing for the truth.
In our day few of the professed followers of the Reformers are actuated by
their spirit. Few are listening for the voice of God, and ready to accept
truth in whatever guise it may be presented. Often those who follow in the
steps of the Reformers are forced to turn away from the churches they love, in order to declare the plain teaching of the word of God.
And many times those who are seeking for light are by
the same teaching obliged to leave the church of their fathers, that they may
render obedience." E.G. White, Desire of Ages, 232.
· "Christ was a protestant...The Reformers date back to Christ and

They came out and separated themselves from a religion of
forms and ceremonies. Luther and his followers did not invent the reformed religion. They
simply accepted it as presented by Christ and the apostles." E.G.

· “It should ever be manifest
that we are reformers, but not bigots. When our laborers enter a new field, they should
seek to become acquainted with the pastors of the several churches in the
place. Much has been lost by neglecting to do this. If our ministers show
themselves friendly and sociable, and do not act as though they were ashamed of
the message they bear, it will have an excellent effect, and may give these
pastors and their congregations favorable impressions of the truth. At any
rate, it is right to give them a chance to be kind and favorable if they will.
Our laborers should be very careful not to give the impression that they are
wolves stealing in to get the sheep, but should let the ministers understand
their position and the object of their mission,—to
call the attention of the people to the precious truths of God’s word. There
are many of these which are dear to all Christians. Here is common ground, upon
which we can meet people of other denominations; and in becoming acquainted
with them, we should dwell mostly upon topics in which all feel an interest,
and which will not lead directly and pointedly to the subjects of disagreement.
{GW92 299.1}
On entering a new place to labor, we should be
careful not to create prejudice in the minds of the Catholics,
or do anything to lead them to think us their enemies. The Lord has
shown to me that there are many among them who will be saved. God will just as
surely test this people as he is testing us; and according to their willingness
to accept the light he gives them, will be their standing before him. We should
sow the seed beside all waters; for it is God that gives the increase.”—MS.

old waste places. Who is it that calls them,

· “It is no argument against the
truth that there are few who are willing to accept it. Few accepted the world's

just as intently seeking earthly good, to the neglect of eternal riches. And
reformers of the present day will meet with the same discouragements as did
their Master.” {ST, January 28, 1886 par. 3}

More Evidence That Distinguishes the 144,000 Bride From
the Rest of the Church—The Guests at the Wedding Feast
It is the belief, even among
some reformers, that all SDA’s who are saved are part of the 144,000. That is
like saying that the guests at a wedding are the bride. There are many SDA’s
who have died as members of the church since it committed apostasy in the mid
1950’s and especially since the General Conference World Session in 1980, at
which time the church adopted the Trinity Doctrine on the Godhead.
There were/are sincere Adventists
who did/do not see the implications of the Trinity apostasy which sweeps away
the entire Christian economy by teaching that there are three co-ETERNAL
persons in the Godhead. There are three persons, as the Bible and Ellen White
clearly portray, but how is the humanity person of Christ eternal? Ellen White
says He was fully human, so is His humanity eternal? Of course not. So,
teaching the Trinity Doctrine which says there are three co-ETERNAL persons,
does despite to the heavenly Sanctuary/Atonement sacrifice which produced a
third person in the form of the humanity of Christ, when He was sired into the
womb His mother Mary.
It is thus that the Trinity
Doctrine sweeps away the entire Christian economy, just as Kellogg’s pantheism
did. His teaching resulted in the doing away of the Sanctuary/Atonement via his
pantheistic teaching that God’s Spirit is in every living thing. Were that
true, Jesus need not have made the Incarnation sacrifice in
order to give us His Holy Spirit. It would have already been in us.
Thus, the Incarnation Sanctuary/Atonement sacrifice is GONE. The Trinity
Doctrine results in the same end result via the
teaching that the humanity of Christ was/is co-ETERNAL with the other two
persons. If that is true, there has been no Incarnation sacrifice which
produced a third human person that was/is not co-ETERNAL with the Father and
the original Son before He was Incarnated into humanity.
Sanctuary Gone Atonement Gone -- "In a
representation which passed before me, I saw a certain work being done by
medical missionary workers. Our ministering brethren were looking on, watching
what was being done, but they did not seem to understand. The foundation of our
faith, which was established by so much prayer, such earnest searching of the
Scriptures, was being taken down, pillar by pillar. Our faith was to have
nothing to rest upon--the sanctuary was gone, the atonement was gone." E.G. White, The Upward Look, 152.
The Alpha heresy was Kellogg’s pantheism involving
the personality of the Godhead, which did away with the Sanctuary and the
Atonement. The Omega heresy is the Trinity Doctrine, which by-passes the
Incarnation sacrifice by saying there are three co-ETERNAL persons when there
are only two person of the Godhead who are co-ETERNAL. It was the
NON-CO-ETERNAL humanity of Christ that became the THIRD NON-ETERNAL PERSON TO
THE GODHEAD.
Why and How did
the SDA Church get Entrapped in Endorsing the Trinity Doctrine?
When reading this section, it is important to
remember that I am dealing with how the church became entrapped to embrace the
Trinity Doctrine, via its 1980 teaching that Christ did not take the nature of
Adam BEFORE or AFTER the fall. On this aspect of this document, God gave me a
vision to the effect that such a teaching totally denies the Incarnation,
whereby Jesus did indeed take the nature of Adam after the fall. Thus, that
teaching denies the Incarnation sacrifice of Christ. However, the leaders have changed
that version to something that is so “muddied,” it is difficult to discern what
they mean.
Why and how did the church get entrapped in what
the Catholics regard as their Central Doctrine, The Trinity Doctrine? This
apostasy has its embryo in meetings LeRoy Froom and Roy Allen Anderson had with
Evangelical leaders Dr. Walter Martin, and Dr. Donald Grey Barnhouse in the mid
1950’s. These Evangelical leaders convinced their SDA counterparts that Jesus
DID NOT come in the likeness of our sinful nature flesh. The bible says
otherwise.
Then SDA leaders injected into the Fundamentals of
Belief in 1980, that Jesus did not have the nature of Adam before or after the
fall. This is heresy when the Bible says that He came in the likeness of sinful
flesh, and Ellen White, as well, says that He took our sinful nature without
sinning. HERE IS THE VISION PART OF THIS ISSUE: Attributing to
Christ a nature unlike the nature of Adam before the fall or after the fall, is
like saying that Christ came in His eternal Spirit Nature which He shared with
the Father from eternity. Thus, the three CO-ETERNAL PERSON
OF THE GODHEAD. This view TOTALLY OBFUSCATES THE INCARNATION
SANCTUARY/ATONEMENT SACRIFICE, whereby Christ took upon Himself our sinful
nature, WHICH WAS NOT CO-ETERAL WITH HIS PAST, PRE-INCARNATION, HOLY SPIRIT DIVINE
NATURE. That 1980 definition of
the human nature of Christ, swept away the entire Christian economy by doing
away with the heavenly Sanctuary/Atonement sacrifice, whereby a THIRD
NON-ETERNAL PERSON was adopted into the Godhead.
The above heresy is the full
blown omega counterpart to the alpha heresy, which did away with the
Sanctuary and the Atonement. In the alpha, it was confined to Dr. Kellogg and a
few of his cronies. In the omega, it engulfed the entire world church. That is
why Ellen White wept for the church regarding what she was shown about the
omega which she said would SURELY COME, and wax stronger until Jesus comes.
After the above heresy, it was a natural
progressive leap into the heresy of the Trinity Doctrine. The Evangelical men
threatened to brand SDA’s as a cult in Dr. Martin’s forthcoming book “Kingdom
of the Cults,” if they did not renege on the human nature of Christ factor. SDA
leaders told the Evangelicals they were horrified by the Bible Readings for
the Home Circle statement (SDA 1914 book) that taught that Jesus came in
our sinful nature. After they capitulated on that, Martin and Barnhouse
challenged them to prove their “Evangelicalness,” by
joining the ecumenical movement, and ultimately adopting the Trinity Doctrine,
with some pressure from the World Council of Churches and the National Council
of Churches in the U.S.A.
Ellen White said that in her day there was a desire
to be like the other churches. Finally, the SDA omega new movement, new
organization “removed God,” (1SM 205) by the adoption of Babylon’s heretical
teaching on the human nature of Christ, and then they called the humanity of
Christ ETERNAL, because that was the essence of their conclusion about His
human nature—not like Adam before the fall or after the fall. The only thing
left would be the ETERNAL NATURE PART OF CHRIST’S NON-SINFUL HUMANITY which
was/is His Holy Ghost’s siring, EXISTING AS HIS HUMANITY, which would
deny His Incarnation which produced His sinful nature humanity. Ellen White said that Christ came in our
sinful human nature. Few have seen and understood the implications of all these
facts. As in the Alpha, the ministering brethren were looking on, but didn’t
and still don’t seem to understand the deep and serious implications of what
they have done. Why? God says it is because they are ALL ignorant and cannot
understand, to wit:
Isa 56:10
His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs,
they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
Isa 56:11
Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are
shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
Isa 56:12
Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with
strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.
"A new order of things has COME INTO the
ministry. There is a desire to pattern after other churches and simplicity and
humility are almost unknown. The young ministers seek to be original, and to
introduce new ideas and new plans for labor. Some open revival meetings, and by
this means call large numbers into the church. But when the excitement is over,
where are the converted ones? Repentance and confession of sin are not seen.
The sinner is entreated to believe in Christ and accept Him, without regard to
his past life of sin and rebellion. The heart is not broken. There is no
contrition of soul. The supposed converted ones have not fallen upon the Rock,
Christ Jesus." E.G. White, Selected Messages, vol. 2, pp. 18, 19.
