John Graz on SDA Ecumenical Involvement

Versus the Truth on This Unpardonable Sin Abomination

"THE WORLD MUST NOT BE INTRODUCED INTO THE CHURCH and married to the church, forming a bond of unity. Through this means the church will become corrupt, and as stated in Revelation, ‘a cage of every unclean and hateful bird." — Testimonies to Ministers, page 265.

It is impossible to distinguish the fallen churches from the world. Early Writings, p. 273.

"IF WE DECIDE that in these last days we have no work assigned to us that is out of the common course of the nominal churches, we shall meet with great disappointment." — Testimonies to Ministers, page 125.

"‘The evangelical Protestant denominations. .[are] appealing every hour to every baser element of their nature to hush up the truth, and bow the knee to the power of apostasy. Was not this the way things went with Rome? Are we not living her life over again [in what is now taking place]? And what do we see just ahead? Another general council! A world's convention! Evangelical alliance, and universal creed!' . .WHEN THIS SHALL BE GAINED, then, in the effort to secure complete uniformity, it will be only a step to the resort of force." — Great Controversy, pages 444-445.

"As the Protestant churches reject the clear, Scriptural arguments in defense of God's law, they will long to silence those whose faith they cannot overthrow by the Bible. Though they blind their own eyes to the fact, THEY ARE NOW ADOPTING A COURSE which will lead to the persecution of those who conscientiously refuse to do what the rest of the Christian world are doing, acknowledge the claims of the papal Sabbath." — Great Controversy, page 592.

"THE FIRES OF PERSECUTION will be rekindled through the time-serving concessions of the so-called Protestant world." — SDA Bible Commentary, Volume 7, page 975.

In Jeremiah 11:9-15, God’s chosen people of that generation committed unpardonable sin which is evinced by His instruction to Jeremiah not to pray for them. Ellen White quotes the apostles as saying this serious abomination is to have an end-time counterpart fulfillment. The sin of Israel involved conspiracy (confederation) with God’s enemies, but it also involved an accompanying attitudinal spiritual problems as well. It would behove us to be very familiar with all the reasons God told Jeremiah not to pray for that generation of His “chosen” people.

After being exposed as conspiring to being a member of the World Council of Churches and its various subsidiary councils and associations in the early 1980’s, the SDA church has hidden its membership in these entities and has apparently reached an agreement with the WCC not to publish and/or deny its membership status. Actually the church has been ecumenically involved since the latter 1950’s.

Though the church fully denies membership in the World Council of Churches and the more localized subsidiaries of the WCC, its National Councils and even more localized Ministerial Associations, which SDA pastors are encouraged to join, many have proven that such denial is a lying abomination. And all these agencies of the WCC require annual dues which accrue to quite a sum for any church that operates worldwide for they must be paid in each locale.

It is an absolute fabrication that the SDA church is not formally joined to the WCC, its various subsidiary National Councils of Churches and more localized Ministerial Associations, to which it pays annual dues. For example, in the latter 1980’s, I called the General Conference Treasurer and he told me that the GC had given the National Council of Churches of Christ in the U.S.A. over $8,000 that year. He gave the exact dollars and cents over the eight thousand dollar amount, but I don’t recall those details.

Decades ago Adventist members would write to the National Council of Churches of Christ in the U.S.A. and ask if the SDA church was a member of that ecumenical organization. There are many letters in circulation with that organization’s letterhead and sighed by its officials that the SDA church was a member. Then they began to deny this fact.

In the latter 1980’s when I called the GC Treasurer’s office, I had just previously called Dr. B. B. Beach and he totally denied that the church was a member of the National Council of Churches in the U.S. Then I called the Treasurer’s office and he gave the amount the church paid for MEMBERSHIP DUES that year. So SDA leaders have blatantly lied about their ecumenical connections. This is nothing we should not fully expect, for God says they all deal falsely:

COUNTERPART: "The Lord commanded one of his ancient servants, 'Pray not thou for this people [Jer. 7:16 and 11:14], neither lift up cry nor prayer for them neither make intercession to me for I will not hear thee.' The prophet thus describes the sins which had called forth this fearful denunciation: 'The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means and my people love to have it so and what will ye do in the end thereof?' 'From the least of them even unto the greatest of them, every one is given to covetousness and from the prophet even unto the priest, every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.' The apostles declare that this state of things will find its COUNTERPART in the last days. Many have a form of godliness, but in their daily life deny the power thereof. They have ceased to be convicted of their sins or alarmed at their state. They say in their hearts, 'The church is flourishing. Peace and spiritual prosperity are within her borders.' The words of the prophet may well apply to these self-deceivers, 'They have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them." E. G. White,  Second Advent Review and Sabbath Herald,  11-07-82.

In 1988, I sent to the World Council of Churches for its Directory of Christian  Councils. I purchased 12 copies so I could give them to some friends. Here are the scanned pages from the World Council of Churches publication entitled Directory of Christian Councils, showing the listed MEMBERSHIP of the Seventh-day Adventist church. The directory is copyrighted and published in 1985, and is no longer in publication.

What I want to stress is that at the same time I procured the Directory to Christian Councils from the World Council of Churches, Dr. B. B. Beach, Public Affairs Department head for the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, was saying the church was not a member of the WCC or any National Council of Churches. Then the Adventist Review shortly thereafter printed a story of the Hungarian revolt whereby upwards of 1500 Hungarians were protesting the SDA church’s MEMBERSHIP in the Hungarian Council of Free Churches, which is the name of the National Council in that country. The Review finally admitted, when forced to do so by the Hungarian uprising, that the church had been a MEMBER of that council for 30 years, when there are scores of letters circulating with the GC letterhead wherein SDA leaders had lied about ecumenical membership for decades. And they are still at it today and one of the most prolific liars amongst them is John Graff.

I called the National Council in each of the countries I scanned below and they were very nasty and would not tell me whether or not the SDA church was still a member in these countries. But you can rest assured the church is indeed still a member in these and other countries such as Hungary, Zambia and others. Since 1985, the SDA church has become members of many more National Councils and Federations, like Germany and Nambia, France and Norway. Professor Walter Veith has related how the German Conference signed on as a member. The U.S. was a member in 1985, but it is not listed in the Directory.  The church is a member of such National Councils as the Hungarian Council of Free Churches, so it is a member by default in such cases. But all it takes is ONE to violate God’s Word. Click on the following links:

"The Lord has a controversy with His professed people in these last days.  In this controversy men in responsible positions [leaders] will take a course directly opposite to that pursued by Nehemiah.  They will not only ignore and despise the Sabbath themselves, but they will try to keep it from others by burying it beneath the rubbish of custom and tradition.  In churches and in large gatherings in the open air, ministers will urge upon the people the necessity of keeping the first day of the week.  There are calamities on sea and land: and these calamities will increase, one disaster following close upon another; and the little band of conscientious Sabbath-keepers will be pointed out as the ones who are bringing the wrath of God upon the world by their disregard of Sunday." E.G. White, Review and Herald Articles, 3-18-84.

Vance Ferrell, a former credentialed SDA pastor, has confirmed that the SDA church is a member of various National Councils of Churches and that such membership is part of being a member of the World Council of Churches. Vance has many letters by members who have written to the National Council of Churches in the U.S.A. and they confirmed that the church was a member. Then, because of flack from the church laity, the church and the National Councils of Churches have agreed not to publish Adventists as members. But Vance has proven that the church is a MEMBER of the WCC by its membership in various subsidiary National Councils of Churches all over the world. You should write to Vance at the following address and request all his materials on SDA ecumenical involvement. Vance charges a small amount for his materials but his SDA ecumenical involvement proofs are well worth the cost. Write to:

God’s Lines in the Sand

God's major "line in the sand" as regards probationary time for his chosen people, is defined in Jeremiah 11:9-15. Those verses prove that whenever God's people conspire with His enemies, they close their probation on a generational basis, because the general probation for Israel did not close until the 490 years of Daniel 9 closed in A.D. 34. Jeremiah 11:9-15 was written centuries B.C.

Read Jeremiah 11:9-15 very carefully. In verse 15 God asks what His chosen people have to do in His house (church) since it has committed lewdness with many by conspiring with His enemies (verses 9 and 10).

Ellen White quotes the apostles as prophesying an end-time COUNTERPART to the Jews of Jeremiah chapters 7 and 11, whom we are not to pray for. Why? Because they conspire with God's enemies after knowing the truth and they have the attitude described in the following statement. It is empirical that the things described in the following statement are rampant in the professing SDA new movement church today. Every item listed in the following statement is part of God’s lines in the sand, and when we see these conditions in the church, it is too late to pray for the corporate church. We then pray for only individuals.

COUNTERPART: "In the time of the Saviour, the Jews had so covered over the precious jewels of truth with the rubbish of tradition and fable, that it was impossible to distinguish the true from the false. The Saviour came to clear away the rubbish of superstition and long-cherished errors, and to set the jewels of God's word in the framework of truth. What would the Saviour do if he should come to us now as he did to the Jews? He would have to do a similar work in clearing away the rubbish of tradition and ceremony. The Jews were greatly disturbed when he did this work [As are SDAs today!]. They had lost sight of the original truth of God, but Christ brought it again to view. It is our work to free the precious truths of God from superstition and error." E.G. WhiteReview and Herald, vol. 2, 308.

There is a modern COUNTERPART to the ancient apostate "chosen people" of God. That modern COUNTERPART is the people who claim to be the modern "chosen people" of God, the remnant, God’s commandment-keeping people if you will.

There are over 100 statements to the affect that SDAs are repeating the history of ancient Israel. Here are just a few of them:

"I have been shown that the spirit of the world is fast leavening the church. You are following the same path as did ancient Israel. There is the same falling away from your holy calling as God's peculiar people. You are having fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. Your [ecumenical] concord with unbelievers have provoked he Lord's displeasure. You know not the things that belong to your peace, and they are fast being hid from your eyes. [The very words applied to fallen Israel on page 17 of The Great Controversy] Your neglect to follow the light will place you in a more unfavorable position than the Jews upon whom Christ pronounced a woe." Testimonies, Vol. 5, pp. 75-76.

"Like ancient Israel, the church has dishonored her God by departing from the light, neglecting her duties, and abusing her high and exalted privilege of being peculiar and holy in character. Her members have violated their covenant to live for God and him only. They have joined with the selfish and world-loving. Pride, the love of pleasure, and sin have been cherished, and CHRIST HAS DEPARTED. His Spirit has been quenched in the church. Satan works wide by side with professed Christians yet they are so destitute of spiritual discernment that they do not detect him." E.G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 2, pp. 441-442.

"Among the professed followers of Christ, there is the same pride, formalism, vainglory, selfishness, and OPPRESSION, that existed in the Jewish nation." E.G. White, Sketches from the Life of Paul, 251-252.

"God's professed people are selfish and self-caring....They are idolaters, and are worse, in the sight of God, than the heathen, graven-image worshippers who have had no knowledge of a better way." Testimonies, Vol. 2, 440-441.

Jeremiah 11

1The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD saying,

 2Hear ye the words of this covenant, and speak unto the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;

3And say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Cursed be the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant,

4Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:

5That I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then answered I, and said, So be it, O LORD.

6Then the LORD said unto me, Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear ye the words of this covenant, and do them.

7For I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice.

8Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do: but they did them not.

9And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

10They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.

11Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.

12Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble.

13For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal.

14Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.

15What hath my beloved to do in mine house, seeing she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest. Jeremiah 11:1-15.
