The
Mount Carmel Challenge
Dear Reader:
After my vision of March 7, 2001, I wrote
out approximately 20 pages depicting the portion of my vision that related to
the 1260, 1290, 1335, and how these relate to the 2300 days. However, on
Sabbath morning, March 10, I had another most poignant vision instructing me
that I should not reveal the full details of these days as most of the
testimony concerning them pertains to the 144,000, and only they will
understand and be encouraged by the information I was given. I was shown that
all of the 144,000 will come to understand these time periods and will be
directed by them. I have revealed in this correspondence what God permitted
me to divulge on these matters, but first the issue of Isaiah 3:12.
The Mount Carmel
Challenge Specifics
At 5 AM, this morn, March 7, 2001, I had
the most powerful and singular vision to date. The Lord showed me that it is Mt. Carmel
time for His people, to test the false prophets of Baal and to demonstrate
the power of God through His true prophets. The test is this: Any individual(s)
who this day believe they are prophets of God, are hereby subject to the
following Mt. Carmel test of the spirit and power of
Elijah. This is the Word of the Lord to His prophet and the prophets of Baal:
In seven days from this day, March 7, 2001, let the true prophet of God
render the most reasonable interpretation of Isaiah 3:12, using the Holy
Word, and letting the Holy Word interpret itself. Here is the verse:
"As for
MY PEOPLE, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O MY
PEOPLE, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy
paths." Isaiah 3:12.
All "prophets" are to use the
King James Version in making their interpretation. At the end of seven days,
or on March 12, 2001, God will provide through me, one Ron Beaulieu, a
correct interpretation of Isaiah 3:12, as well as the 1260 days of Revelation
11:3, and the 3 and one-half days of Revelation 11:9, as well as the 1290 and
1335 days of Daniel 12, and how these relate to the 2300 days of Daniel 8:14.
I will have no more commentary on this challenge until March 12, 2001.

My
Vision of March 7, 2001
The Lord instructed me in vision to use
Isaiah 3:12, as a testing question, because this, better than any other
device, exposes the condition of His visible churches at the present end-time
era. Any proper interpretation to this verse demands an exposure of the
end-time state of the church in this world.
First of all, the Lord reminded me that
Isaiah chapters 1-4 are strictly end-time in context. Thus the extreme
importance of the words "MY PEOPLE!" It is most crucial to remember
this. The Lord emblazoned on my mind that His people are oppressed and ruled
by women. Here is the meaning the Lord gave to me in vision.
Until this March 7, 2001, 5 AM vision, I
never before saw the full meaning of the words:
"As for
my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them."
Isaiah 3:12.
First, however, the Lord caused to appear
once again, but more forcefully and poignantly than ever before, the living
fact that Isaiah, chapters 1-4, are all entirely end-time in context, and all
Bible Commentaries agree on that. All of the following Bible texts were
burned upon my brain as if branded there by force of electrical lightening
bolt strikes.
Now for the interpretation of the verse:
"As for
MY PEOPLE, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O MY
PEOPLE, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy
paths." Isaiah 3:12.
God showed me that "My People,"
refers to all professed Christians, in every hovel and hamlet around the
world, and ESPECIALLY professing Seventh-day Adventists around the world. I
was first shown the meaning of the words "women rule over them,"
(MY PEOPLE, including professing Adventists), before the meaning of the words
"children are their oppressors."
I was shown that the "women who rule
over them," has nothing to do with the role of women in the church as
regards the role of a prophetess etc. However, this verse does have secondary
reference to the wrongful employment of women in the church as elders and
leaders of church conferences. The use of the word "women"
primarily designates the same seven women [churches] referred to by the same
prophet, Isaiah, in Isaiah 4:1, as follows:
"And in that day SEVEN WOMEN [all
formally organized churches--Scripture uses woman as a symbol of a (the)
church--Revelation 12:1, 2 Corinthians 11:2, and Revelation 17: 5] shall
take hold of one man [Jesus Christ], saying, We will eat our own bread [our
own doctrines and commandments of men], and wear our own apparel [our own
robes of self-righteousness]: only let us be called by thy name [Christians],
to take away our reproach."
The seven women [churches] in Isaiah 4:1,
are designated by God's perfect and all inclusive number, "seven,"
which refers to all formally organized churches, including the professing SDA
New Movement Church.1 How do the churches [Seven Women--All
Churches] rule over His people? God showed me that the leaders of those
churches cause them to err by teaching them impure doctrines, and telling the
people that they all are good, every one, and making no distinction between
the holy and the profane. This is how they "destroy the way of thy
paths." This is how they which lead them "cause thee to err."
The leaders tell the people to eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow shall be
as today:
"His watchmen are blind: they are ALL
ignorant, they are ALL dumb dogs, they cannot bark [to show God's people
their sins];2 sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yea, they
are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are SHEPHERDS that
cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain,
from his quarter. Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill
ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, and much more
abundant" [the church will grow and flourish no matter what it does].
Isaiah 56:10-12.
The expression "children are their
oppressors," refers to leaders and their subjects who are more like
children having a party celebration, and eating pabulum, versus adult, mature
Christians who are into the meat of God's Word. The leaders are like children
who are advocating celebrating [Celebration churches] when they should be
sighing and crying for the state of the church, and weeping between the porch
and the altar. The patronizing members of the laity are like children for
following such errant leaders.
"For the leaders of this people cause
them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed." Isaiah 9:16.
"Woe to the rebellious children,
saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a
covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin." Isaiah
30:1.
"And the people shall be oppressed,
every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: and the child shall
behave himself proudly against the ancient and the base against the
honourable." Isaiah 3:5.
"That this is a rebellious people,
lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord: Which say to
the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things,
speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: Get you out of the way, turn
aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.
Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word,
and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon: Therefore this
iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high
wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant. And he shall break it as
the breaking of the potters' vessel that is broken in pieces..."Isaiah
30:9-14.
I was shown that the child behaving
himself proudly against the ancient and honourable, is the leadership
behaving proudly against the older pioneers of Adventism and the ancient
prophets of Scripture, whose counsel they apply to centuries past (the Jews)
instead of to themselves, when their prophet, Ellen White, instructs them
that the ancient prophets wrote more for us than for the Jews.
"And I will give children to be their
princes [leaders], and babes shall rule over them." Isaiah 3:4.
"Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O
earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children,
and they have rebelled against me." Isaiah 1:2.
What will this weakness of being led by
women and children lead to? It will lead to persecution and oppression in the
soon coming time of trouble. Far more importantly, it will lead to the loss
of eternal life. And yet even more importantly, it leads God's subjects, His
children, to be as unfaithful witnesses of His truth in the earth.
The Lord showed me most vividly that
another aspect of being led by women and children [the fallen harlot daughter
churches], is the way the professing SDA Church cowered and bowed to the
Evangelicals Walter Martin and Donald Grey Barnhouse in 1957 and on, when as
a result of those Evangelical Conferences with the enemies of God, the
cowardly leaders lost faith and trust in God, and agreed to strike out pillar
doctrines and truth concerning the Human Nature of Jesus Christ, in that He
came in sinful flesh. They agreed to expunge from Bible Readings, and all
future Adventist publications, the words that Christ came in our sinful
flesh. I was instructed more forcefully than ever before that this act was
tantamount to agreeing to another gospel, an anti-Christ gospel. I was shown
that this act constituted an act of conspiracy fulfilling Jeremiah 11:9-15,
and that the church returned to the iniquities of its forefathers by teaching
some of the errors of Calvin and Luther.
Concerning oppression NOW, the Lord guided
my mind to cases where the leaders are involved in oppressing the true
reformers by taking them to court and suing them. He guided my mind to Ellen
White's words which state that when the leaders take the brethren to court,
this is a sign that the Holy Spirit has parted, and the leaders who do such
are void of the presence and imparted spirit of God. The angel led me to the
concept of oppression as related to dishonest gain, as already alluded to in
Isaiah 56:10-12, and also in the following scripture:
"Her princes [leaders] in the midst
thereof are like wolves ravening the prey [the laity], to shed blood, and to
destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. And her prophets [false prophets] have
daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto
them, saying, Thus saith the Lord God, when the Lord hath not spoken....And I
sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the
gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found
none." Ezekiel 22:27, 28, 30.
The Lord showed me that after the Loud Cry
call, there will not be one faithful soul left in His professing church, for
to make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before Him, that He should not
destroy it. All that will be left in the midst of Jerusalem, the professing churches, the
seven women, is tares, dross, as the prophet Ezekiel instructs in Ezekiel
22:17-31. Then the angel bid me in question: "Will they obey my prophet
Ezekiel, or will they ignore the instruction of his vision and perish eternally?
Do they not know that Ezekiel and all the prophets wrote more for those at
the end time than for the Jews of old? Will they not believe the words of
their prophet Ellen White, to that effect?"3
1. "The enemy of souls has
sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place
among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in
giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging
in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what
would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the
remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The
fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years
would be accounted as error. A NEW ORGANIZATION would be established. Books
of a new order would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be
introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a
wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the
God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the NEW
MOVEMENT. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God
being removed, they would place their dependence on human power, which,
without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and
storm and tempest would sweep away the structure.
WHO HAS AUTHORITY TO BEGIN SUCH A [NEW] MOVEMENT? We have our Bibles.
We have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the Holy
Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not repudiate
everything that is not in harmony with this truth?" E.G. White, Selected

2. "Here we see that the church--the
Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The
ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as
guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, and betrayed their trust.
They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked
manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These
words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good,
neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment.
Thus 'Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again
lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their
transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that
would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God.
Men, maidens, and little children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies,
Vol. 5, 211.
"Their children also shall be dashed
to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives
ravished." Isaiah 13:16. "Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye
shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird
yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall
be broken in pieces." Isaiah 8:9. "And, behold, six men came from the
way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a
slaughter weapon in his hand..." This slaughter weapon is defined in the
marginal reference as "a weapon of his breaking in pieces." KJV.
3. "The Bible Prophets Wrote for Our
Time.--Never are we absent from the mind of God. God is our joy and our
salvation. Each of the ancient prophets spoke less for their own time than
for ours, so that their prophesying is in force for us. 'Now all these things
happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition,
upon whom the ends of the world are come' (! Cor. 10:11). 'Not unto
themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported
unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost
sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into' (1 Peter
1:12).'" E.G. White, Selected Messages, vol. 3, p. 338.
I was shown that the false prophet(s)
claiming emeritus status in the SDA church till the end of time, will not
give this interpretation of Isaiah 3:12, and 4:1-4. They will be in the
graces of the church in that the church will not come against them because
they pose no threat to the apostate SDA church. They will aid and abet the
apostasy by charging all who oppose the apostasy as being mere
"bellyacher" troublers of Israel, without any just cause.
They will charge God's servants as being "off the wall," and
suffering from indigestion. They will say this is why God's servants see
visions and dreams, if they do not particularly agree with those dreams and
visions. O' yes! They agree with the gifts, but only the prophesyings and
dreams that suit their celebration spirit.
The 1260, 1290 and
1335 Day Prophesies
The following account is what I saw in a
most singularly powerful vision occurring at approximately 5 AM, March 7,
2001. I was shown that the reason for these literal time periods is to
preserve the courage of the saints (primarily the 144,000) during the
greatest time of trouble ever known to man. Man fears the unknown, so it will
obviously encourage the Saints to know these timelines. Only the 144,000 will
need to know the entire schema of time because only they will endure the
length of that time and be translated without seeing death. I was told that
the 144,000 will know they are part of the 144,000 after the passing of day
1335.
I have been aware of the most
sophisticated arguments against literal time for decades, but I was shown
that they are the result of misinterpretation. I was shown an explanation of
the following statement by Ellen G. White:
"The first and second angels'
messages were to be proclaimed, but no further light was to be revealed
before these messages had done their specific work. This is represented by
the angel standing with one foot on the sea, proclaiming with a most solemn
oath that time should be no longer.
This time, which the angel declares with a solemn oath, is not the end of
this world's history, neither of probationary time, but of prophetic time,
which should precede the advent of our Lord. That is, the people will not
have another message upon definite time. After this period of time, reaching
from 1842 to 1844, there can be no definite tracing of the prophetic time
(day for a year time). The longest reckoning reaches to the autumn of
1844." E.G. White, SDA Bible Commentary, vol. 7a, p. 971.
Prophetic Time Versus
Literal Time
The angel repeated to me thrice that what
Ellen White meant by "prophetic time," was day for a year time. I
was told the same number of times that definite time meant that we would
never again be tested by any failure of any definite prophetic time (year for
a day) message as was the case in 1844, because prophetic time (day for a
year time) ended in 1844. I was shown that proofs of this interpretation is
Revelation 17:12, in reference to the "one hour" which is indeed a
time prophecy however indifinite as it indicates a brief time. Also, I was
shown Revelation 18:8, concerning "...her plagues come in one day,"
another definite time prophecy. This again was represented to me as a time
prophecy notwithstanding its shortness of duration. I was shown that the five
month period of time in Revelation is a definite time period:
Rev 9:5
And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should
be tormented five months: and their torment [was] as the
torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
Rev 9:10
And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails:
and their power [was] to hurt men five months.
Again, I was referred to Revelation,
chapter 20, and the thousand years, as a future definite time prophecy. I was
shown three times that the 42 month (3 1/2 yrs.) period of definite time
depicted in Revelation 13:5, occurs after the wound was healed, and is future
to our day because the wound will not have been fully healed until the
Catholic power has the influence to come against God's Law, and aid and abet
its daughters in getting the Sunday Law passed. I was shown that even partial
healing of the would did not occur until 1929, when the Lateran Treaty
restored temporal power to the pope, who was given the rule of Vatican City. Thus,
that 42-month period of definite, literal time could not have been fulfilled
prior to the healing of the wound.
I saw that the ten days of tribulation
spoken of in Revelation 2:10, is part of the same time of tribulation as
mentioned in Daniel 12:1, and that this also refers to definite time. I was
shown this three times. I was forcefully shown that all who interpret that
there is no more definite time to be fulfilled, should be forced to deal with
these definite time lines, and thus have their deceptive mouths and pens
stopped.
Also I was shown that the beginning of the
cleansing of the Sanctuary in 1844, does not in the least work at
cross-purpose with the final cleansing of the Sanctuary after another literal
manifestation of the 2300 days. Thus another literal, definite time
fulfillment of the 2300 days works no despite whatsoever to the historical
teaching of the church concerning the day for a year historic application.
Destruction of Jerusalem, AD 70, a
Prefigure Type
Then I was told three times that the time
involved in the destruction of Jerusalem, from the time of the planting of
the Roman banner or the Abomination of Desolation on Jewish soil, in the
autumn of A.D. 66, and culminating in the destruction of the Temple and the
city of Jerusalem in A.D. 70, was a prefigure. I was shown that The Great
Controversy, p. 25, 1911 edition, says that this event was a prefigure, a type,
which demands an antitypical 3 1/2 year fulfillment. I was shown that this 3
1/2 year period of literal, definite time, will begin with the commencement
of the National Sunday Law, and that the first passing of that law will begin
the period, but brings no destruction and slaughter until 42 months, 1260
days, and/or 3 1/2 years later. The killing of martyrs will
"legally" begin on day 1290, but this time will be anticipated by
some who will kill even before this. I was shown that the 42-month period
(Rev. 13:5) is deciphered as 30-day months, thus the 42 months equal 1260
days.
I was shown that one of the keys to
solving this prophetic puzzle is a realization that, as in the type, the
abomination of desolation will be literally placed in the Sanctuary of the
SDA church proper. I was shown that this is why Adventist thought leaders as
well as members, have not been able to come to a proper understanding of this
prophecy, because none have wanted to admit that the church would ever fall
prey to the enemy and actually renege to the enemy by accepting and teaching
Sunday sacredness to avoid persecution and because of unbelief.
The prime distinction between the 2300
days and its component 1290 and 1335 days is the placement of these two
specific, timed events within the 2300 days, such as the placing of the
abomination of desolation on day 1290, and the arrival of the 1335th day.
These occur within the timeframe of the 2300 days and do not conflict with it
in the least. I was shown three times in succession that the 2300 days will
be repeated in literal time. Then the final literal cleansing of the
Sanctuary will take place, and not just begin the cleansing of the Sanctuary
as was the case in the historic year for a day fulfillment.
The Lord distinctly portrayed to me that
it has been the spirit of Satan that has caused these timelines to be
interpreted as completely fulfilled and past. Why? So that the people of God
would not have the comfort and assurance supplied by this knowledge, during
the greatest time of trouble ever known to mankind. The Lord assured me that
Satan will continue to try to cast contempt on the very interpretations you
are reading right now.
The Lord showed me that if Satan could
reduce all this instruction to ancient preteristic, completely fulfilled
history, he would be well satisfied, just as Catholics have tried to reduce
Bible prophecies to a time of ancient fulfillment. But God has encouragement
and instruction for His people in the final conflict of the Great Controversy
between Christ and Satan. Satan would prefer that you be denied that
encouragement and instruction because he knows that where there is no vision
the people perish for a lack of knowledge.
Satan has been just as artful, or more so,
in getting Seventh-day Adventists to misinterpret their prophet and
scripture, than he was in the case of the Jews, our counterpart example. God
showed me that those who have no need to know these times and their proper
placement will continue to cavil over time as being no more, and that this is
an erroneous position. The time no more instruction refers to prophetic, year
for a day time, as stated. However, we are not to enter the cavilings over
these time periods.
Then I was taken in vision to Daniel 12. I
was told three times that Daniel 12:1 gives the time setting of the final
fulfillment of the chapter, and that its end-day fulfillment begins after
Michael stands up, and that He will not stand up until after the time of the
National Sunday Law, when the earth thus declares His law null and void,
(break one, break all) and that event will begin the judging of the living,
because they cannot be judged before making their decision to obey God or
man, and receiving the great test of obedience to God's Holy Day. I was shown
that those who knew the Sabbath truth, but gave it up prior to this test,
have already judged themselves. They thus have taken their eyes off the
Midnight Cry Lighted Path, making it impossible for them to get on the Path
again, Word to the Little Flock, p.
14.
I saw that the abomination of desolation
is the Sunday Law, the Roman Banner, that removes the daily, the continual,
the law and especially the Sabbath commandment of the Law [Remove one
commandment and you remove all]. Then 1290 days will expire before the
Abomination of Desolation is set up in the Holy Place or God's Sanctuary, the
professing Seventh-day
Adventist Church,
Daniel 12:11. I saw that the leaders will begin to forcibly call for Sunday
sacredness at the 1260 day mark, when the government will give a 30 day
warning that all who will not worship the beast or uphold the Sunday Law,
after a 30 day warning period, will not henceforth be able to buy or sell
(Rev. 13:17).
I saw that in order to keep the visible
church going and because the church by that time will have such little regard
for commandment and Sabbath observance, it will instruct its members to keep
Sunday sacred so that on day 1290, when the warning time is up, the church
will place the abomination of desolation in the precincts of the Sanctuary,
the professing SDA church.

I saw the leaders, coming to a point where
they know they have gone too far, will play the apostasy to the bitter end. I
was instructed to search Ellen White's writings for the words "bitter
end." When I arose from vision, I did the search, and found these words:
"Satan's object is to dishonor God,
and he works with every element that is unsanctified to accomplish this
design. The men whom he makes his instruments in doing this work are blinded
and do not see what they are doing until they are so deeply involved in guilt
that they think it would be useless to try to recover themselves, and they
risk all and continue in their course of transgression to the BITTER END."

Next, for the 10 day period of Rev. 2:10,
occurring from day 1290 to day 1300, I saw the lives of faithful martyrs
sacrificed as "seed for fruit" during the ensuing harvest of the
continuing Loud Cry. I saw some additional carnage after the 1300th day,
until the 1335th day, at which time things leveled off somewhat until the
final death decree to rid the earth of God's people in one decisive blow in
one nights time. It was at this time the 144,000 were depicted to me as being
and feeling blessed, because they knew if they remained alive to this point,
they would survive to the end of the 2300 days and soon thereafter be
translated without seeing death. The killing seem to level off the remainder
of time until the end of the 2300 days when another death decree went forth
in an endeavor to rid the earth of the 144,000 saints who were hiding in
wilderness outposts. I was instructed not to provide further details or
commentary on this vision, which numbered many pages.

Addendum:
In the type of AD 66-70, Jerusalem was destroyed after the 3 1/2
year period. When will the apostate SDA Church
be destroyed?
The destruction of the conservative
(Pharisee) faction of the SDA church will come after the 1260th day, after
the abomination of desolation Sunday law has been enacted. Persecution by way
of killing violators of Sunday will then begin. Conservative (Pharisee type) Seventh-day
Advent's are inclusive of the so-called "reform" independent
ministries who instruct their supporters to remain members of the church even
though they generally recognize that the church is in apostasy, and that
there is not just mere apostasy “in” the church, THE CHURCH IS IN APOSTASY.
It is the true remnant who flee to the wilderness and who have withdrawn
their membership from a church that cannot be distinguished from the world,
and a faithful remnant called Seventh-day Adventists will fulfill a modern
day manifestation of Ezekiel 20:34-38 and Isaiah 37:31, 32.
The general destruction of apostate
Adventism's (Sadducee) liberal class and their sanctuary will come after the
2300 day period, or after the close of general probation. The reason they
survive longer and are destroyed at the end of general probation is because
they reneged on the Sabbath and teach Sunday sacredness. For that, they are
destroyed with Babylon
and her other harlots.
To Summarize
The destruction of the conservative
(Pharisee) faction of the SDA church will come after the 1260th day, after
the abomination of desolation Sunday law has been enacted. Persecution by way
of killing violators of Sunday will then begin. The general destruction of
apostate Adventism's (Sadducee) liberal class and their sanctuary will come
after the 2300 day period, or after the close of general probation. The
reason they survive longer and are destroyed at the end of general probation
is because they reneged on the Sabbath and teach Sunday sacredness. For that,
they are destroyed with Babylon
and her other harlots.
"The Lord has a controversy with his
professed people in these last days. In this controversy men in responsible
positions will take a course directly opposite to that pursued by Nehemiah.
They will not only ignore and despise the Sabbath themselves, but they will
try to keep it from others by burying it beneath the rubbish of custom and
tradition. In churches and in large gatherings in the open air, ministers,
will urge upon the people the necessity of keeping the first day of the
week." E.G. White, Review and
Herald, vol. 1, p. 405, col. 3.
We know that the dragon and beast powers
will be worshipped for forty-two months after the wound is healed, Revelation
13:3-5. The healing of the wound will be at the time of the Sunday Law. Jerusalem was destroyed
three and one-half years after the planting of the banner on Jewish soil, SDA
Bible Commentary, vol. 5, 74-76 or thereabout. So we know that the close of
probation will be within three and one-half years after the National Sunday
Law, because Ellen White says that A.D. 70 was a prefigure (type)--The Great Controversy, p. 25. A
prefigure is surely safe to follow for it means a type.
Concerning Ellen White's statement that
God has not revealed to us the time when this message will close, or when
probation will have an end, in order to interpret this with her Great
Controversy PREFIGURE statement, one can only conclude, by interpreting her
so that nothing contradicts, that she meant that we do not know when the
National Sunday Law will commence, so we do not know when probation will
close.
Keep in mind the fact that Ellen White
also said:
"It was needful that men should be
awakened to their danger; that they should be roused to prepare for the
solemn events connected with the close of probation." The Great
Controversy, p. 310.
In calling the A.D. 70 destruction of Jerusalem, a PREFIGURE,
Ellen White told us a lot, possibly without herself realizing all the
implications. The direct implication is that there will indeed be another coming
out, just as there was in the PREFIGURE TYPE in A.D. 66-70. Did Ellen White
say that there would be another coming out? She certainly did in no uncertain
terms, by saying in The Great Controversy, p. 25, that the destruction of
Jerusalem in A.D. 70 was a prefigure (type). The faithful left the apostate
church in that TYPE. So it will be again. Ezekiel 9 is literally repeated
again:
"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel.
These words will be literally fulfilled; yet the time is passing, and the
people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not
a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great
and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths
into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling; will YOU
hear? Will YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too
late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106,
1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley,

I asked the Lord to show me how Ellen
White knew that the A.D. 70 destruction of Jerusalem was a prefigure, (The Great
Controversy, p. 25) that begins at His Sanctuary, (Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211)
and ends as a prefigure for the destruction of the world, and He led me to
Ezekiel 5:9-17. In verse 9, God does the worst thing He has ever done or ever
will do, and of course that has to be at the end-time of Jacob's
trouble--Matthew 24:21. The destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70, surely was not the
worst thing God will ever do. We find in Ezekiel 5:9-17, that God will visit
judgments on His church while other nations are watching. This comes before
the general close of probation for the "conservative" faction of
the apostate SDA church, and after the close of probation for the
"liberal" faction. Recall that in the Type, Israel had
both factions, the Pharisees and the Sadducees.
A faithful remnant will flee to the
mountains and deserts and other solitary places, Ezekiel 5:1-4. That will be
the SDA church triumphant of Ezekiel 20:34-38, operating from outposts in the
wilderness. The general fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 applies to the destruction
of the world, and will come after the close of probation, but that does not
preclude judgments beginning "at His Sanctuary," prior to the close
of probation for the world. Because judgment begins at the House of God,
probation does close sooner for the conservative (Pharisee) class of
professing Seventh-day Adventists and they are judged before the whole world.
Some argue that the prefigure type of A.D.
70 applies only to the world, because Ellen White does say that it applies
also to the world; that it prefigures the destruction of the world after it
has heard the gospel, but she also says that it will "begin at His
Sanctuary," Testimonies, Vol.
5, 211, and she says that governments will turn their heads as persecution
plagues true SDA's for keeping the Sabbath. This is when conservative,
Pharisee type SDA Sanctuaries around the world will be plundered and
destroyed, because they will not yield to the Sunday law, and they will not
surrender their churches, and they do not flee, so they are destroyed..
