This document is a review of Pastor Rick Howard’s book The Omega Rebellion. The book is obtainable thru any Adventist Book Store, and I recommend reading it with prayerful care. There is much truth in the book, but unfortunately, the truth is mixed with serious error and self-contradiction as well as contradiction of God’s Word and grave Ellen White statements regarding the final outcome of the once SDA church militant. It is all too apparent that Pastor Howard has a serious case of tunnel vision when it comes to ALL the abominations for which we are to sigh and cry, and it also appears that his advocates have the same grave problem.

“Some he deceives in one way, and some in another. He has different delusions prepared to affect different minds. Some look with horror upon one deception, while they readily receive another. Satan deceives some with Spiritualism. He also comes as an angel of light and spreads his influence over the land by means of false reformations. The churches are elated, and consider that God is working marvellously for them, when it is the work of another spirit. The excitement will die away and leave the world and the church in a worse condition than before.” {EW 260.1}

“It is a fact, that there is a movement spreading rapidly through the Protestant community called the “emerging church,” whose influence has reached all the way from the local congregations to the universities and leadership of our Seventh-day Adventist Church; a movement with theological beliefs and practices that are the same as those we have been warned would be those of the “alpha and omega” apostasy. . . . some Seventh-day Adventists were caught up in this terrible deception. . . they attended weekend Catholic and Protestant retreats, where they learned the mystical contemplative prayer, a way to pray that would eventually lead them into experiencing the ‘silence’ an altered state of consciousness, an experience they would consider wonderful, bringing them into the presence of God. . . . Then I began to think about the actual people caught up in this deception; who are they, where are they from and what kind of work do they do? As I thought about this, I realized there were no lay people that came to mind, none! Every Adventist person with whom I was able to associate this movement was a leader in the church of some sort. This thought led me to think of the “alpha” deception, which was also among those in leadership during the Kellogg era.” Omega Rebellion, p. 154-156.

Ron’s commentary: “Those who have been regarded as worthy and righteous prove to be ring-leaders in apostasy...” (Ellen G. White, Testimonies, vol. 5, p. 212).

“For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.” Isaiah 9:16.

The Sin of Witchcraft

“Why is this happening? I asked myself. What is the dynamic, the force driving it? . . . How is it that highly educated men and women, who[m] the Lord has called to fill leadership positions in the church and who have dedicated their lives to giving our unique message to the world, men and women who have studied and are blessed with having available the Spirit of Prophecy, begin to practice the very things the Spirit of Prophecy specifically warns them not to practice?

“It then occurred to me that this is sin. Some of these people are choosing to do something they know the Spirit of Prophecy warns against, while others, not knowing, are deceived. Either way, wilful or not, it is sin.

“Then I began to consider the ‘kind’ of sin this is. . . . This is different. Lord, help! What is this all about? . . . . REBELLION! What? Again, REBELLION!

“It was unmistakable. I knew it was not my mind’s voice, but the Lord’s. . . . With this sin there is no temptation because of any ‘propensity’ from within the fallen nature. The ‘old man’ is not responsible, attempting to control the power of choice. One is choosing for other selfish reasons, but is under no provocation. Neither was Satan when he sinned originally! We cannot explain it. It is simply the choice to disobey the inspired direction of the Holy Spirit, unexplainable, and that is what makes it an act of ‘REBELLION,’ which Scripture claims is the same as the sin of ‘witchcraft,’ for the same reasons. Interesting!” Omega Rebellion, pp. 156, 157.

Ron’s Commentary: This is not merely interesting Elder Howard! This is far more serious than you have concluded in your book! In proving this, I recall to mind here a statement you make in your book on page 136:

What Really Made Ellen White Tremble!

The above statement by the corporate church, makes the entire world church corporately responsible for teaching WITCHCRAFT REBELLION of Spiritual Formation. In the case of the alpha, the only leaders involved were Kellogg, Jones, Waggoner and a few other leading brethren. Ellen White called the faithful out from Kellogg and those who accepted his rebellious views of apostasy that resulted in removing the Sanctuary and the Atonement in heaven.

If the Adventist World church in Kellogg’s alpha had formed an International Ministerial and Theological Board to support Kellogg’s pantheistic teachings, Ellen White would have had to call all members out of such a church because that is exactly what she did regarding Kellogg and his cronies in spiritual crime. If spiritual formation is as the REBELLION OF PANTHEISTIC, PANANTHEISTIC WITCHCRAFT, so was Kellogg’s pantheism, AND GOD AND ELLEN WHITE CALLED ALL TO COME OUT AND BE SEPARATE FROM HIM AND HIS ASSOCIATES, TO WIT:

"The fifty-eighth chapter of Isaiah contains instruction for TODAY. 'Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show MY PEOPLE their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sin...." The work would not have been hindered as it has been for the past several years if Dr. Kellogg were a converted man. "Come," I call, "come ye out and be separate from him and his associates whom he has leavened." I am now giving the message God has given me, to give to all who claim to believe the truth: "Come out from among them, and be ye separate,' else their sin in justifying wrongs and framing deceits will continue to be the ruin of souls." E.G. White, SpTB07, Testimonies for the Church Containing Messages of Warning and Instruction to Seventh-day Adventists, pr. 02, p. 64.

As Ellen White used to say: Consistency is a jewel! And all things considered, were Elder Howard consistent, he would be making a call such as God and Ellen White made, but he has not had the discernment to understand and see the clear implications of his own conclusions. In effect, he is advising all Seventh-day Adventists to remain members of a new movement that is in unpardonable sin WITCHCRAFT rebellion against God Almighty. It was unpardonable sin for Saul to seek after the witch of Endor, and it is unpardonable sin for professing Seventh-day Adventists to seek after the WITCHCRAFT of Roman Catholicism Spiritual Formation.

“Saul knew that in this last act, of consulting the witch of Endor, he cut the last shred which held him to god. He knew that if he had not before wilfully separated himself from God, THIS ACT sealed that separation, and made it final. He had made an agreement with death, and a covenant with hell. The cup of his iniquity was full.” The Spirit of Prophecy, Vol. One, p. 376.

If it was final and unpardonable sin for Saul to consult the witch of Endor, which was like consulting Satan himself, what about SDA leaders who have done the following as cited by Howard:

“We seem determined to lift up and put on a pedestal the leaders of this movement like George Barna, Richard Foster, and Leonard Sweet, all self-proclaimed mystics of the spiritual formation movement, by constantly inviting them to speak to our youth, our ministers, and our administrative leaders for the purpose of learning their methods of labor, in spite of the fact that the Spirit of Prophecy is filled with warnings against it.” Omega Rebellion, p. 157.

Do you better discern how it is the leaders who are ring-leaders in leading God’s people to destruction?

Isa. 9:16 “For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.”

Can you better see how Pastor Rick Howard is one of those leaders who is causing and instructing God’s people to err by admitting to an unpardonable WITCHCRAFT SIN, as was Saul’s, and then saying remain joined to it anyway? The only hope I see for any member of the new movement is for those who did not know of this apostasy, and this is a serious truth which you had better pray over long and hard before you ever enter another SDA new movement church, thus closing your probation just as truly as Saul did by engaging a forsaking of the covenant to make a covenant with hell.

In connection with Saul’s WITCHCRAFT covenant with hell, consider Elder Howard’s interpretation of the following statement by Ellen White:

“Much of the history that has taken place in fulfillment of this prophecy (Daniel 11:30-36 in context) will be repeated. In the thirtieth verse a power is spoken of that ‘shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.” (13 MR 393.5).

Elder Howard demonstrates that Ellen White connected the alpha with aspects of the prophecies in Daniel 11:30-36. He interprets the king of the north as the papal power and that this power has intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant (p. 95). He then states:

“It is reasonable to conclude that the subjects of this ‘intelligence’ with the king of the north (papal Rome) are those in the remnant church who have ‘forsaken the holy covenant,’ for it is those in the remnant church who are in a covenant relationship with God.”

Elder Howard concludes that some Adventists forsake the Everlasting Holy Covenant, via Rome’s spiritualism via Spiritual Formation per Daniel 11:30-36 intelligence with Rome and then he contradicts himself and God’s Word by stating that his book is going to stop the Spiritual Formation WITCHCRAFT that constitutes a forsaking of the Everlasting Holy Covenant, by the church being in league with the pope of Rome who is pushing Spiritual Formation. So which is it Pastor Howard? Will the Bible prove true, or will your book turn the tide of Scripture? Will Ellen White’s statement that the omega will wax stronger until Jesus comes prove to be true, or will your book reverse the prophesying of the Spirit of Prophecy? Can your book reverse the unpardonable sin of consulting the WARLORD (Male Witch), the pope of Rome, on how to build Spirituality in the church?

Ellen White said that by Saul’s consultation with the witch of Endor, “He had made an agreement with death, and a covenant with hell.” Is that forsaking the Everlasting Holy Covenant? Was it forsaking the Everlasting Holy Covenant when decades ago, SDA leaders instructed Russian parents to send their children to school on Sabbath, thus breaking God’s ten commandment law?

Was it forsaking the Everlasting Holy Covenant when SDA leaders did away with the Sanctuary/Atonement sacrifice of Christ in the heavenly Sanctuary, by smuggling in Rome’s Central doctrine, the Trinity Doctrine, in the early 1930’s, and voting to officially adopt it at the 1980 World Session of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists? If pastor Rick Howard had a knowledge of the Incarnation and the sacrifice in the heavenly Sanctuary that gave birth to the THIRD PERSON of the Godhead, he would be on his way to understanding all the abominations the church has adopted from Rome.

Pastor Rick Howard is looking on ONLY ONE horror while readily receiving and being deceived by others.

Satan deceives some with Spiritualism. He also comes as an angel of light and spreads his influence over the land by means of false reformations. The churches are elated, and consider that God is working marvellously for them, when it is the work of another spirit. The excitement will die away and leave the world and the church in a worse condition than before.” {EW 260.1}

The Trinity Doctrine achieves the same end result as Kellogg’s pantheism, in that it by-passes the heavenly Incarnation Sanctuary/Atonement sacrifice which provided the THIRD PERSON HOLY SPIRIT gift of the Son’s Divine Nature Holy Spirit to man when the Son divested Himself of the personality of His Holy Spirit because His humanity would cumber that Holy Spirit. It was at that sacrifice during which the Son divested the personality of His humanity from His Holy Spirit that it became the Holy Ghost THIRD PERSON. The Holy Ghost is not mentioned in scripture until chapter 1 of Matthew for this very reason. The Trinity Doctrine totally annihilates this heavenly Sanctuary/Atonement sacrifice by teaching that the Holy Spirit always existed from eternity AS A THIRD PERSON. The Holy Spirit surely did exist from all eternity, BUT NOT AS A THIRD PERSON. So the Trinity Doctrine, is another of Rome’s spiritualistic doctrines on the Godhead that does away with the Sanctuary/Atonement sacrifice in the heavenly Sanctuary before the cross. This is not conjecture or surmising. This is the only conclusion that can be drawn from the following statements, and there are many, many more.

"Cumbered with humanity Christ could not be in every place personally. Therefore it was altogether for their advantage that He should leave them to go to His Father and send the Holy Spirit to be His successor on earth. The Holy Spirit is Himself, divested of the personality of humanity and independent thereof. He would represent Himself as present in all places by His Holy Spirit" E.G. White, (Manuscript Releases Volume 14 (No’s 1081-1135) MR No. 1084.

Definition of Holy Spirit

"Christ declared that after his ascension, he would send to his church, as his crowning gift, the Comforter, who was to take his place. This Comforter is the Holy Spirit,--the soul of his life, the efficacy of his church, the light and life of the world. With his Spirit Christ sends a reconciling influence and a power that takes away sin.

In the gift of the Spirit, Jesus gave to man the highest good that heaven could bestow....

The Spirit was given as a regenerating agency, and without this the sacrifice of Christ would have been of no avail....

It is by the Spirit that the heart is made pure. Through the Spirit the believer becomes a partaker of the divine nature. Christ has given his Spirit as a divine power to overcome all hereditary and cultivated tendencies to evil, and to impress his own character upon the church." E.G. White, Review and Herald Articles, May 19, 1904, vol. 5, p. 42.

Godhead as a pillar doctrine -- Personality of God and of Christ Landmarks: "Those who seek to remove the old landmarks are not holding fast they are not remembering how they have received and heard. Those who try to bring in theories that would remove the pillars of our faith concerning the sanctuary or concerning the personality of God or of Christ, are working as blind men. They are seeking to bring in uncertainties and to set the people of God adrift without an anchor." {MR760 9.5}

"You are not definitely clear on the personality of God, which is everything to us as a people. You have virtually destroyed the Lord God Himself." EGW letter 300 1903.

In keeping with the spirit of Isaiah 56:10-12, I respectively submit that Elder Rick Howard has not seen the full implications of his warning message to the church. When God says three times that ALL His watchmen cannot understand, Elder Rick Howard has not proven God wrong. I appreciate Elder Howard’s experience and observations as far as he takes them, but he has not given the full implications of WITCHCRAFT REBELLION as established by the Adventist World Church within the borders of its new movement.

Strangely, and just as appropriately, Elder Howard quoted the following statement by Ellen White, that is so befitting of himself as to properly cause him to tremble for his personal salvation as regards his conclusion that we should never leave a new movement that has inculcated WITCHCRAFT while masquerading as Seventh-day Adventism:

“Those who pursue a course of rebellion against the Lord can always find false prophets who will justify them in their acts, and flatter them to their destruction. Lying words often make many friends, as is illustrated in the case of these false teachers among the Israelites. These so-called prophets, in their pretended zeal for God, found many more believers and followers than the true prophet who delivered the simple message of the Lord.” (4BC 1158.5).

In light of God and Ellen White’s call to come out from the proponents of the alpha of heresy, the only proper course for Elder Rick Howard, would be to call God’s people out from a new movement that has removed God, the Sanctuary, and the atonement. But alas, the ministering brethren (of which Howard is one) were looking on in the alpha, but did not seem to understand all the implications. Strangely, Howard has understood the Sanctuary/Atonement connection, but in direct opposition to Ellen White’s counsel concerning Kellogg and party, Howard says remain in membership with practisers and advocates of ROMAN CATHOLIC WITCHCRAFT who are capable of hypnotizing without the subject’s detection.

Elder Rick Howard says he is not a prophet. That is not true. All prophets did not predict the future. Consider this definition of a prophet:

Also, the bible refers to the leaders as prophets. Howard certainly claims to speak for God. But his counsel concerning the omega heresy is directly opposed to Ellen White’s counsel in the alpha heresy. She called all out from the apostates, and now in the omega, the entire church has formed an international board to support spiritual formation witchcraft. Thus, it is strange that Howard would publish the following statement in his book which I repeat for important emphasis:

Yes Elder Howard, the Lord can always find false prophets who will justify an apostate church in its acts of WITCHCRAFT REBELLION. Your lying words that we can and indeed should remain members of a new movement whose world headquarters has violated the Everlasting Holy Covenant by teaching Rome’s Spiritual Formation WITCHCRAFT, will make many friends, as the false prophets of Israel made many friends. Your errant advice to remain with an apostate, fallen new movement, will ensure your TEACH FOR HIRE job. Your thus pretended zeal for God will find many more believers and followers than the truth I am delivering as the simple FULL TRUTH WARNING MESSAGE of the Lord to His erring people, but what will you do in the end thereof?

Mic 3:11 “The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, [Is] not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.”

Pastor Rick Howards Claim for the New Movement SDA Church

Pastor Howard claims that the omega will be MET just like the alpha was met.

If Ellen White believed as Howard does, that the omega will meet with the same end that the alpha did, why did she tremble for the church? Why did she say the church would separate from God so that His promises will not be fulfilled to it. 4 SOP, 199, 200, quoted fully in this document.

Pastor Howard claims that the church will triumph over the Spiritual Formation pursuit, but the following statements make him a false sayer:

The SDA COUNTERPART FACTOR to the Jews

COUNTERPART: "The Lord commanded one of his ancient servants, 'Pray not thou for this people [Jer. 7:16 and 11:14], neither lift up cry nor prayer for them neither make intercession to me for I will not hear thee.' The prophet thus describes the sins which had called forth this fearful denunciation: 'The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means and my people love to have it so and what will ye do in the end thereof?' 'From the least of them even unto the greatest of them, every one is given to covetousness and from the prophet even unto the priest, every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.' The apostles declare that this state of things will find its COUNTERPART in the last days. Many have a form of godliness, but in their daily life deny the power thereof. They have ceased to be convicted of their sins or alarmed at their state. They say in their hearts, 'The church is flourishing. Peace and spiritual prosperity are within her borders.' The words of the prophet may well apply to these self-deceivers, 'They have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them." E. G. White, Second Advent Review and Sabbath Herald, 11-07-82.

"Shall the Lord be compelled to say, `Pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to Me: for I will not hear thee' [Jeremiah 7:16]? `Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain....Wilt thou not from this time cry unto Me, My Father, thou art the guide of my youth' [Jeremiah 3:3-4]?...
We are to be judged by the light that has been given us,(159) and we can find no excuse by which to extenuate our course." Review and Herald, Vol. 3, p 69-70 (August 1, 1893). (Brackets by Ellen White)

COUNTERPART: "In the time of the Saviour, the Jews had so covered over the precious jewels of truth with the rubbish of tradition and fable, that it was impossible to distinguish the true from the false. The Saviour came to clear away the rubbish of superstition and long-cherished errors, and to set the jewels of God's word in the framework of truth. What would the Saviour do if he should come to us now as he did to the Jews? He would have to do a similar work in clearing away the rubbish of tradition and ceremony. The Jews were greatly disturbed when he did this work [As are SDAs today!]. They had lost sight of the original truth of God, but Christ brought it again to view. It is our work to free the precious truths of God from superstition and error." E.G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 2, 308.

The apostles declare that this state of things will find its counterpart in the last days. Many have a form of godliness, but in their daily life deny the power thereof. They have ceased to be convicted of their sins or alarmed at their state. They say in their hearts, "The church is flourishing. Peace and spiritual prosperity are within her borders." The words of the prophet may well apply to these self-deceivers, "They have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them." {RH, November 7, 1882 par. 9}

The only people who could counterpart and parallel the Jews are a people who make the same claims as the Jews made to be a “chosen” “commandment-keeping” “remnant” of God. And if you have any doubt about the above statements, the following statement should settle all doubt in any reasonable mind.

The following statement is made concerning the people to whom the Everlasting Gospel of the three angel’s messages was commissioned:

"Jesus sends HIS PEOPLE a message of warning to prepare them for his coming. To the prophet John was made known the closing work in the great plan of man's redemption. He beheld an angel flying 'in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him for the hour of his Judgment is come and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters [Rev. 14:6, 7.].

The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message, symbolizes a class of faithful men, who, obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth. This message was not to be committed to the religious leaders of the people. They had failed to preserve their connection with God, and had REFUSED THE LIGHT FROM HEAVEN therefore they WERE NOT of the number described by the apostle Paul: 'But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day we are not of the night nor of darkness' [1 Thess. 5:4, 5].

The watchmen upon the walls of Zion should be the first to catch the tidings of the Saviour's advent, the first to lift their voices to proclaim him near, the first to warn the people to prepare for his coming. But they were at ease, dreaming of peace and safety, while the people were asleep in their sins. Jesus saw HIS CHURCH, like the barren fig-tree, covered with pretentious leaves, yet destitute of precious fruit. There was a boastful observance of the forms of religion, while the spirit of true humility, penitence and faith--which alone could render the service acceptable to God--was lacking. Instead of the graces of the Spirit, there were manifested pride, formalism, vainglory, selfishness, oppression. A BACKSLIDING CHURCH closed their eyes to the signs of the times. God did nor forsake them, or suffer his faithfulness to fail but they departed from him, and SEPARATED THEMSELVES from his love. As they REFUSED TO COMPLY WITH THE CONDITIONS, his promises were NOT FULFILLED to them." E.G. White, The Spirit of Prophecy, vol. 4, pp. 199-200 [The 1884 edition of The Great Controversy, 199, 200].

God’s Word says that a final remnant goes forth OUT OF JERUSALEM as well as Babylon:

31And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward:

32For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.

Ellen White said those words were written more for us than the Jews, because we had their example:

"The Bible for Our Time.--Never are we absent from the mind of God. God is our joy and our salvation. Each of the ancient prophets spoke less for their own time than for ours, so that their prophesying is in force for us. 'Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come' (1 Cor. 10:11). 'Not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven which things the angels desire to look into' (1 Peter 1:12).'" E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk. 3, p. 338.

Prophets Wrote for Their Own and Our Day.—“The last books of the Old Testament show us workers taken from the laborers in the field. Others were men of high ability and extensive learning, but the Lord gave them visions and messages. These men of the Old Testament spoke of things transpiring in their day, and Daniel, Isaiah, and Ezekiel not only spoke of things that concerned them as present truth, but their sights reached down to the future, and to what should occur in these last days.”--Letter 132, 1898. {3SM 419.5, 420}

Elder Howard, you have told Adventists that any failure to accept the clear truth of the Spirit of Prophecy is as the REBELLION OF WITCHCRAFT. Will you accept the clear teachings of the Spirit of Prophecy per the above statements, or will you choose the rebellion of Satan’s WITCHCRAFT? If not friend, your book will be sweet in your mouth, but very bitter in your stomach!

Corporate responsibility:

"The plain straight testimony must live in the church, or the curse of God will rest upon His people as surely as it did upon ancient Israel because of their sins. God holds His people, as a body [corporately], responsible for the sins existing in individuals among them." Testimonies, vol. 3, p. 269.

The same principle applies in the OMEGA, which permits NOTHING to stand in its way, 1SM 204-5. Ellen White stopped the Alpha, but she said "nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement," and that it would remove God.

Ellen White said the omega would continue and wax stronger until Jesus comes: Wax stronger "One thing it is certain is soon to be realized, the great apostasy, which is developing and increasing and waxing stronger, and will continue to do so until the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout. We are to hold fast the first principles of our denominated faith, and go forward from strength to increased faith. Ever we are to keep the faith that has been substantiated by the Holy Spirit of God from the earlier events of our experience until the present time. We need now larger breadth, and deeper, more earnest, unwavering faith in the leadings of the Holy Spirit. If we needed the manifest proof of the Holy Spirit's power to confirm truth in the beginning, after the passing of the time, we need to-day all the evidence in the confirmation of the truth, when souls are departing from the faith and giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. There must not be any languishing of soul now." (E.G. White, Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 7, p. 57).

"The enemy will set everything in operation to uproot the confidence of the believers in the pillars of our faith in the messages of the past, which have placed us upon the elevated platform of eternal truth, and which have established and given character to the work. The Lord God of Israel has led out His people, unfolding to them truth of heavenly origin." "The truth for this time is precious, but those whose hearts have not been broken by falling on the Rock Christ Jesus, will not see and understand what is truth. They will accept that which pleases their ideas, and will begin to manufacture another foundation than that which is laid. They will flatter their own vanity and esteem, thinking that they are capable of removing the pillars of our faith, and replacing them with pillars they have devised. This will continue to be as long as time shall last." Notebook, Leaflets, pp. 61-62.

"And thou, Capernaum [Seventh-day Adventists, who have had great light], which art exalted unto heaven [in point of privilege], shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom IN THE DAY OF JUDGMENT, than for thee." E.G. White, Review and Herald Articles, vol. 3, p. 69, col. 3.

Compare the following assessment of Elder Rick Howard, with the above statements:

“Ellen White saw the potential damaging effects of the omega, and trembled, but that does not mean that the church was overcome by it. We know it will have an effect, just as the alpha had an effect, but just as the church identified the alpha by the Spirit of Prophecy and met it head on and defeated it, so will the omega be identified by the Spirit of Prophecy, met head on and defeated. The purpose of this book is to use the Spirit of Prophecy to identify the omega. Meeting it head on will be the decision of every faithful member of the church.”

The only hope for Elder Rick Howard, is that he may be ignorant of some very profound statements by Ellen White concerning the final result of the SDA church militant. Those statements are included in this document.

In his book, Howard makes oblique excuses for the church’s ecumenical involvement. Per his findings in his book, there is no excuse for his ignorance of the church’s membership in Babylon’s Ministerial Associations, counsels/councils and confederacies. This is strictly forbidden by the Bible (Isaiah 8:9-12; Jer. 11:9-15) as constituting unpardonable sin, as all who do such are “broken in pieces,” repeated three times for seriousness. Yet the church and Howard take a very careless attitude towards the church’s ecumenical involvement which is far deeper than Howard or the church admit.

"Any connection with infidels and UNBELIEVERS which would identify us with them is FORBIDDEN by the word. We are to come out from them and be separate. in no case are we to link ourselves with them in their plans or work." E. G. White, Fundamentals of Christian Education, 482.

Are the fallen churches BELIEVERS? Does the world BELIEVE?

"I saw that since the second angel proclaimed the fall of the churches, they have been growing more and more corrupt. They bear the name of being Christ's followers yet it is IMPOSSIBLE to distinguish them from THE WORLD...Satan has taken FULL POSSESSION of the churches as a body." E.G. White, Early Writings, 273.

Separation Come out -- The Call to Come Out of the Hebrew Church. The preaching of the gospel of a crucified, risen, and ascended Lord was to begin at Jerusalem. Luke 24:47. On the day of Pentecost the apostles had been given "tongues like as of fire," Acts 2:3, and through this zeal of the Spirit-filled apostles thousands of the honest in heart responded to the call to come out of the new fallen Hebrew church. Among others, the great and learned apostle Paul left the Hebrew church and threw all his talent and power into preaching the gospel of a crucified, risen, and ascended Lord. "I determined," he said, "not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified." I Cor. 2:2. Sarah Elizabeth Peck, The Path to the Throne of God, p. 207.

“God speaks through his appointed agencies, and let no man, or confederacy of men, insult the Spirit of God by refusing to hear the message of God’s word from the lips of his chosen messengers. By refusing to hear the message of God, men close themselves in a chamber of darkness. They shut their own souls away from vast blessings, and rob Christ of the glory that should come to him, by showing disrespect to his appointed agencies.” (RH, September 12, 1893, par. 4). Omega Rebellion, p. 111.

“We have learned principles from the Spirit of Prophecy that reveal that when we reject or ignore its counsel, or even simply enter into research or discussion of sciences such as spiritual formation, Satan has the right to cast his bewitching spell upon us. Why would this be? Because divine inspiration has warned us not to, and to do so is a rejection of the Spirit’s direction. When we reject God’s direction it gives Satan the right to control us, and God will not and cannot protect us. We have chosen the course we are on, and God will not violate our freedom to have made that choice.” Omega Rebellion, p. 129.

“Contemplative Spirituality: a belief system that uses ancient mystical practices to induce altered states of consciousness (the silence) and is often wrapped in Christian terminology; the premise of contemplative spirituality is pantheistic (God is all) and panantheistic (God is in all).” Omega Rebellion, p. 118.

“Satan is attempting to establish his deceptions in the hears of those in God’s church, just as the Spirit of Prophecy predicted. The “quiet place” or “mystical silence,” the central and most important teaching of spiritual formation, often hidden within its other teachings, allows Satan to talk with those who practice this discipline, deceiving them into thinking they are hearing Jesus speak with them, thus removing His presence from the Most Holy Place and relocating Him into their presence at their command. In believing this, one has an erroneous concept of the personhood, or personality, of God. It relegates the Lord Jesus Christ to a “nonentity,” demanding Him to be an essence, capable of existing everywhere simultaneously, existing in the hearts of all men personally. This removes Jesus from the sanctuary in heaven, changing His personhood into a panantheistic essence pervading the hearts of His people. These beliefs make the Lord an essence and not an actual being who dwells in heaven.” Omega Rebellion, p. 130.

“Remember, many of the teachings included within the model called spiritual formation are good Christian concepts. It is the learning and practice of contemplative/mystical prayer, which leads to altered states of consciousness and the supernatural experience of the silence, or quite place, that is the idolatrous teaching we are exposing as a teaching of Romanism. There are many in God’s remnant church who have written about their experience of the silence and have recommended literature authored by admitted mystics. This is part of the deception.” Omega Rebellion, p. 136.

King of the North Chapter 8 Who Will Recognize the Omega?

Pastor Howard grossly contradicts himself in his observation that the church militant forsakes the Holy Covenant in confederacy with the king of the north, the pope, while he maintains that the church will triumph over the Spiritual Formation element of the omega, which is just one of the many omega abominations of which he seems to be cognizant. Ellen White said we are to sigh and cry for ALL THE ABOMINATIONS, and any truly faithful watchman would be aware of them ALL.

"Mark this point with care: Those who receive the pure mark of truth, wrought in them by the power of the Holy Ghost, represented by a mark by the man in linen, are those 'that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the church.' Testimonies, vol. 3, pp. 266-267.

There are many serious abominations, but Pastor Rick Howard seems to be aware of only ONE of them and he believes that ONE will be MET! But what about the antichrist view on the human nature of Christ? What about the antichrist teaching of Rome’s central doctrine on the Trinity? What about the many proven ecumenical memberships the world over? What about the many standards that have been left trailing in the dust of creeping compromise?

“For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.” (Dan. 11:39 KJF)

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits.” (Dan. 11:32 KJV) Omega Rebellion, p. 110.

Examples Rick Howard’s Disobedience to God and the Spirit of Prophecy

“I was shown the necessity of those who believe that we are having the last message of mercy, being separate from those who are daily imbibing new errors. I saw that neither young nor old should attend their meetings; for it is wrong to thus encourage them while they teach error that is a deadly poison to the soul and teach for doctrines the commandments of men. The influence of such gatherings is not good. If God has delivered us from such darkness and error, we should stand fast in the liberty wherewith He has set us free and rejoice in the truth. God is displeased with us when we go to listen to error, without being obliged to go.” [EW, 124, 125] Omega Rebellion, p. 103. [Italics supplied by Howard].

“I would point out that when Ellen White states “obliged to go,” she could never have meant there would be a time to go to improve our methods of labor, receive any new light that God has given them, or to receive any beneficial instruction on spiritual topics, for we have been warned that God will never let any new light shine on them, but will always give it to His denominated remnant church.” Omega Rebellion, p. 103.

Ron’s commentary: Howard seems oblivious to the fact that when he advocates membership, as opposed to separateness from a new movement we were never to join, which new movement is embracing Spiritual Formation, he is speaking against the Spirit of Prophecy himself. What will that do to his spiritual discernment and perceptive powers? Is he subject to the same penalty he says others are when they do not heed the clear counsel of the Spirit of Prophecy?

Sanctuary Gone Atonement Gone -- "In a representation which passed before me, I saw a certain work being done by medical missionary workers. Our ministering brethren were looking on, watching what was being done, but they did not seem to understand. The foundation of our faith, which was established by so much prayer, such earnest searching of the Scriptures, was being taken down, pillar by pillar. Our faith was to have nothing to rest upon--the sanctuary was gone, the atonement was gone." E.G. White, The Upward Look, 152.

Elder Rick Howard does not seem to understand the deep implications of being joined to a “church,” a new movement, that is practising Rome’s WITCHCRAFT. It is interesting that many so called Sunday keeping Babylonian churches are teaching against Spiritual Formation, while the new movement SDA church is all for it. That is why Ellen White and God said the SDA church militant is worse than Babylon:

Worse than Babylon -- "God's professed people are selfish and self-caring....They are idolaters, and are worse, in the sight of God, than the heathen, graven-image worshippers who have had no knowledge of a better way." Testimonies, Vol. 2, 440-442.

“Then I was pointed back to the years 1843 and 1844. There was a spirit of consecration then that there is not now. What has come over the professed peculiar people of God? I saw the conformity to the world, the unwillingness to suffer for the truth's sake. I saw a great lack of submission to the will of God…”
“I saw that many who profess to believe the truth for these last days think it strange that the children of Israel murmured as they journeyed; that after the wonderful dealings of God with them, they should be so ungrateful as to forget what He had done for them. Said the angel: "Ye have done worse than they." Testimonies for the Church, vol 1, p 128, 129.

“I was shown the conformity of some professed Sabbathkeepers to the world. Oh, I saw that it is a disgrace to their profession, a disgrace to the cause of God. They give the lie to their profession. They think they are not like the world, but they are so near like them in dress, in conversation, and actions, that there is no distinction…” “As I saw the dreadful fact that God's people were conformed to the world, with no distinction, except in name, between many of the professed disciples of the meek and lowly Jesus and unbelievers, my soul felt deep anguish. I saw that Jesus was wounded and put to an open shame. Said the angel, as with sorrow he saw the professed people of God loving the world, partaking of its spirit, and following its fashions: "Cut loose! Cut loose! lest He appoint you your portion with hypocrites and unbelievers outside the city. Your profession will only cause you greater anguish, and your punishment will be greater because ye knew His will, but did it not." Testimonies for the Church, vol. 1, p 131, 133.

Elder Howard defines the type of hypnotism used in Spiritual Formation. It is the type whereby one is hypnotized without knowing it—Satan’s prime device of deception at the end-time. It is known as Eriksonian hypnosis. More than 300 SDA Pastors were sent to Neural Linguistic Programming centers to learn this methodology of controlling their members.

Separation From Open Sinners

Pastor Howard has identified the sin of Spiritual Formation as witchcraft. He has proven that it has the facets of the alpha, only on a much greater scale which involves the entire world church. In the alpha Ellen White called all members to separate from Kellogg and his followers. She said that open sinners are to be separated from the church, to wit:

Open sin to be put out of the camp

"Christ has plainly taught that those who persist in open sin must be separated from the church..." Christ's Object Lessons, 71.

Pastor Howard directly contradicts Ellen White by instructing SDA to never leave the church:

The Sin of King Jehoiakim Repeated in the SDA Church Militant

How many readers of this document will repeat the incident involving Jeremiah’s scribe Baruch, who wrote down Jeremiah’s inspired words and delivered them to King Jehoiakim, who, after listening to a few leaves, cut them in pieces and had them thrown into a fire and destroyed? Ellen White pointed out that this history will be repeated in the remnant church, but more specifically, what should be the remnant church, for the true remnant and its leaders will do no such thing.

Pastor Rick Howard predicts that all will end well, with all the apostasy being met. How does that view accord with the following counsel from the Spirit of Prophecy to the church?

"The Lord has a controversy with His professed people in these last days. In this controversy men in responsible positions will take a course directly opposite to that pursued by Nehemiah. They will not only ignore and despise the Sabbath themselves, but they will try to keep it from others by burying it beneath the rubbish of custom and tradition. In churches and in large gatherings in the open air, ministers will urge upon the people the necessity of keeping the first day of the week. There are calamities on sea and land: and these calamities will increase, one disaster following close upon another; and the little band of conscientious Sabbath-keepers will be pointed out as the ones who are bringing the wrath of God upon the world by their disregard of Sunday." R & H 3-18-1884.

"The things you have described as taking place in Indiana, the Lord has shown me would take place just before the close of probation. Every uncouth thing will be demonstrated. There will be shouting, with drums, music, and dancing. The senses of rational beings will become so confused that they cannot be trusted to make right decisions. And this is called the moving of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit never reveals itself in such methods, in such a bedlam of noise. This is an invention of Satan to cover up his ingenious methods for making of none effect the pure, sincere, elevating, ennobling, sanctifying truth for this time. Better never have the worship of God blended with music, than to use musical instruments to do the work which last January was represented to me would be brought into our camp meetings. The truth for this time needs nothing of this kind in its work of converting souls. A bedlam of noise shocks the senses and perverts that which if conducted aright might be a blessing. The powers of satanic agencies blend with the din and noise, to have a carnival, and this is termed the Holy Spirit's working." E. G. White, Selected Messages, Vol. 2, 36.

"The state of the Church represented by the foolish virgins, is also spoken of as the Laodicean state." E. G. White, Review and Herald Articles, Vol. 2, 420, 8/19/1890.

Are the foolish virgins saved? Is a person who heeds the Laodicean message still lukewarm or cold apostate? Do many SDA’s say that Laodicea is the final church? If the final church is foolish virgins, is that final church saved?

"The church is in the Laodicean state. The presence of God is not in her midst." E.G. White, Notebook Leaflets, p. 99, 1898.

Pastor Rick Howard says exactly the opposite, that the presence of God is with the new movement SDA church.

"To the end of time, the presence of the Spirit is to abide with the true church." E.G. White, Acts of the Apostles, p. 55.

Conclusions

· Should the church members ever be “...allowed to stand in the way of the new movement” and Spiritual Formation, which thesis is contrary to Ellen White’s prophecy that NOTHING WILL BE SO ALLOWED, (1SM 204-205), the church would think this was a great victory and that the church was purged and purified of its omega apostasy. Nothing could be further from the truth, for there are many omega abominations that are just as antichrist such as:

· The antichrist position on the human nature of Christ.

· The antichrist position on the Godhead.

· The antichrist position on ecumenical involvement.

· The antichrist position of teaching two different gospels in one church.

· The antichrist position of combining lukewarm Laodiceanism with cold apostasy.

· The antichrist position of breaking the Sabbath commandment decades ago by instructing Russian parents to send their offspring to school on Sabbath because Russia hold school six days a week.

· The antichrist position of refusing the conditions in God’s Word.

· The antichrist Satanic deception that the omega abomination, the omega heresy, is only ONE ABOMINATION, Spiritual Formation, and that if one abstains from that Satanic practice, he/she has avoided the omega apostasy which is to wax stronger until Jesus comes.

· The antichrist notion that “...there is nothing wrong with keeping open the doors of communication with other religious bodies.” Omega Rebellion, p. 204, versus this statement: Fear and Shun "'They that forsake the law praise the wicked.' Proverbs 28:4. When those who are uniting with the world, yet claiming great purity, plead for union with those who have ever been the opposers of the cause of truth, we should fear and shun them as decidedly as did Nehemiah. Such counsel is prompted by the enemy of all good. It is the speech of timeservers, and should be resisted as resolutely today as then. Whatever influence would tend to unsettle the faith of God' people in His guiding power, should be steadfastly withstood." E.G. White, Prophets and Kings, p. 660.

· Out of one side of Pastor Rick Howard’s mouth, he says not to listen to Satan, and out of the other side he says “there is nothing wrong with keeping open the doors of communication with other religious bodies.” That is what got us into trouble in the latter 1950’s by engaging conversations (communication) with Walter Martin and Donald Grey Barnhouse, during and after which the church imbibed antichrist heresies and began its ecumenical escapades via liaisons with fallen Babylon’s associations, councils and confederacies.

· If Ellen White says that the fallen churches are led by Satan, then dialoguing with them is like Eve dialoguing with Satan.

· Finally, on page 205 of his 224 page book, Pastor Howard poses the question: “Is this the omega, or an element of it?” It certainly is an element of it—a prime element of it, but it is not the only heresy that has come in amongst us since the 1930’s.

· The heresy of adopting the world’s Accreditation Standards for education in the early 1930’s.

· The heresy of the Trinity Doctrine smuggled in by Leroy Froom in the early 1930’s.

· The heresy of voting that doctrine of Rome into official adoption in 1980.

· Elder Howard is apparently ignorant or dismissing of the following statement by Ellen White regarding the final outcome of the professing Seventh-day Adventist church militant alias new movement (1SM 204-205) that separates itself from God, thus removing Him:

No one has ever been able to successfully gainsay this prophesy by Ellen White of the outcome of the SDA once church militant. It is manifest unbelief in the Spirit of Prophecy and rebellion against it, to omit this statement from any weight of evidence concerning the final end of the church:

The Apostate Daughter of Zion, Jerusalem, Sits as a Presumptuous Queen just as Babylon Does

“The daughter of Zion seemed in her pride to say, I sit a queen and shall see no sorrow; as lovely then, and deeming herself as secure in Heaven’s favor, as when, ages before, the royal minstrel sang: ‘Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, . . . the city of the great King.’ Psalm 48:2.” The Great Controversy, Chapter 1, p. 17.

Compare with God’s description of Babylon:

“How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.” Revelation 18:7.

Both Apostate Jerusalem and Babylon are Destroyed in Ezekiel 9 Slaughter

The time is short. God is calling will YOU hear? Will YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley, September 26, 1909.)" E. G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260.

“The time will soon come when the prophecy of Ezekiel 9 will be fulfilled; that prophecy should be carefully studied, for it will be fulfilled to the very letter.”— Ellen G. White 1888 Materials, p. 1303.

The Signs of the Times, February 12, 1880: “The desolation of Jerusalem stands as a solemn warning before the eyes of modern Israel.”

“The desolation of Jerusalem in the days of Jeremiah is a solemn warning to modern Israel, that the counsels and admonitions given them through chosen instrumentalities cannot be disregarded with impunity.” Prophets and Kings, 416.

Worse than Babylon?

It is worse than the pope for SDA leaders who KNEW/KNOW the truth to go to the pope for advice on Spiritualilty. That is like going to Satan for advice when we have the truth through the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy.

Ellen White was merely agreeing with God in Ezekiel 5.

¹And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber's razor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to weigh, and divide the hair.

²Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them.

¹⁶When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread:
