Response to Efrain Rodriguez’s, and Similar Prophesies

I fully agree with the following response by Mr. Pond. My purpose in publishing the prognostications of Satan’s false prophets, is to show how Satan admixes truth with error. According to Ellen White, there will be devastating judgments in the earth before the great day of the Lord--the very end of time.

*URGENT WARNING! The Greatest, Most Tragic Event Ever Prophesied In Our Day Coming This Year? It Is Estimated 35-40 Million People Will Die! It Is Time To Repent and Prepare-God Will NOT Be Mocked! (Shocking Videos and Confirmations) [I do not include myself with those who are prophesying that this will occur this year. It could occur anytime. rwb, February 24, 2015.]

Hi Ron,

Efrain Rodriguez is a not a prophet of God. On the next pages I found that He believes the country of Israel are God's people, the rapture, and a chip is the mark of the beast, etc. I stopped reading at that point.

God bless,

Steve

Ron’s further response:

Seventh-day Adventists know that the National Sunday Law enforcing the people to worship on Sunday is the Mark of the Beast. They also know, or SHOULD KNOW, that God’s people do not escape the great time of trouble by being raptured. We also know that the country of Israel has been brought into existence by Satan in his  attempt to set himself up in a third temple (in the sides of the north) and to deceive the Jews into believing that he is their messiah. All the “apparent” promises to Israel that they would rule the world were CONDITIONAL upon obedience and not being divorced by God as His chosen people.  God did divorce Israel as His chosen people:

Jer 3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

Ellen White said that Jerusalem would never be built up again by God, but it has been built up by Zionists who worship Lucifer:

Jerusalem Never to Be Rebuilt?

Ellen G. White wrote in 1851 that "old Jerusalem never would be built up." [1] By itself, the statement looks unsustainable. But when the setting is reconstructed, we find Mrs. White counseling the growing Adventist group that both time-setting [2] and the "age-to-come" notion [3] were incompatible with Biblical truth. She emphasized that the Old Testament prophecies regarding the establishment of a Jewish kingdom in Palestine were conditional on obedience and forfeited by disobedience. Unfulfilled prophecies would be fulfilled to "true Israel" as unfolded in the New Testament text.

Thus the popular movement of the 1840s and 1850s to promote a Zionist state in Palestine was not a fulfillment of Biblical prophecy and not a quest in which Adventists should become involved. Her warnings and instruction were designed to turn the interest away from Palestine and toward the work God had opened up before them.

In a September 1850 vision she saw that it was a "great error" to believe that "it is their duty to go to Old Jerusalem, and think they have a work to do there before the Lord comes. . . ; for those who think that they are yet to go to Jerusalem will have their minds there, and their means will be withheld from the cause of present truth to get themselves and others there." [4]

Less than a year later, August 1851, she wrote with greater emphasis "that Old Jerusalem never would be built up; and that Satan was doing his utmost to lead the minds of the children of the Lord into these things now, in the gathering time, to keep them from throwing their whole interest into the present work of the Lord, and to cause them to neglect the necessary preparation for the day of the Lord." [5]

How did Ellen White's readers understand this statement? That there was no light in the popular "age-to-come" teaching, that there is no Biblical significance in the Jews' returning to Palestine, that Jerusalem will never be rebuilt in a future millennial period. She was not talking about a possible political rebuilding of Jerusalem but of a prophetically significant rebuilding of Old Jerusalem. To continue to think that way, she emphasized, was to sink further into Satan's deceptions and away from present duty.

For further study of this topic, see Julia Neuffer, "The Gathering of Israel," in the Reference Library.”

Many Jewish Rabbi’s testify that the Zionist building up of the state of Israel is not of God.

Regarding Judgments to Awaken the People

I would only add that Ellen White says that God will permit serious judgments to come to awaken people, and she mentioned seeing fireballs. I believe such judgments could come at any time because of what Ellen White said, to wit:

“Last night a scene was presented before me. I may never feel free to reveal all of it, but I will reveal a little. {RC 243.2}

RJ 235.2 (Español (Spanish))

It seemed that an immense ball of fire came down upon the world, and crushed large houses. From place to place rose the cry, “The Lord has come! The Lord has come!” Many were unprepared to meet Him, but a few were saying, “Praise the Lord!”{RC 243.3}

 “Why are you praising the Lord?” inquired those upon whom was coming sudden destruction. {RC 243.4}

 “Because we now see what we have been looking for.”{RC 243.5}

 “If you believed that these things were coming, why did you not tell us?” was the terrible response. “We did not know about these things. Why did you leave us in ignorance? Again and again you have seen us; why did you not become acquainted with us, and tell us of the judgment to come, and that we must serve God, lest we perish? Now we are lost!”{RC 243.6}

Reflecting Christ, p. 243.7 (EGW)

“The time is right upon us when there will be sorrow in the world that no human balm can heal.  The flattering monuments of men’s greatness will be crumbled in the dust, even before the last great destruction comes upon the world. . . . Only by being clothed with the robe of Christ’s righteousness can we escape the judgments that are coming upon the earth.—Letter 20, 1901, Selected Messages, Bk 3, p. 418, 419.

Calamities Blamed on God's People

Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. Rev. 12:12.

“As men depart further and further from God, Satan is permitted to have power over the children of disobedience. He hurls destruction among men. There is calamity by land and sea. Property and life are destroyed by fire and flood. Satan resolves to charge this upon those who refuse to bow to the idol which he has set up. His agents point to Seventh-day Adventists as the cause of the trouble. "These people stand out in defiance of law," they say. "They desecrate Sunday. Were they compelled to obey the law for Sunday observance, there would be a cessation of these terrible judgments."

Calamities will come--calamities most awful, most unexpected; and these destructions will follow one after another. If there will be a heeding of the warnings that God has given, and if churches will repent, returning to their allegiance, then other cities may be spared for a time. But if men who have been deceived continue in the same way in which they have been walking, disregarding the law of God and presenting falsehoods before the people, God allows them to suffer calamity, that their senses may be awakened.

The judgments will be according to the wickedness of the people and the light of truth that they have had. If they have had the truth, according to that light will be the punishment.

Satan puts his interpretation upon events, and they [leading men] think, as he would have them, that the calamities which fill the land are a result of Sunday-breaking. Thinking to appease the wrath of God, these influential men make laws enforcing Sunday observance. They think that by exalting this false rest-day higher, and still higher, compelling obedience to the Sunday law, the spurious sabbath, they are doing God service. Those who honor God by observing the true Sabbath are looked upon as disloyal to God, when it is really those who thus regard them who are themselves disloyal, because they are trampling under foot the Sabbath originated in Eden.”

“God does not send judgments upon His people without first warning them to repent. He uses every means to bring them back to obedience and does not visit their iniquity with judgments until He has given them ample opportunity to repent. The wrath of man sought to prevent the labors of the prophet of God by depriving him of his liberty; but God can speak to men through prison walls, and even increase the usefulness of His servants through the very means by which their persecutors seek to limit their influence.”      {4T 179.3}
