The First and Second Angel's Messages Now Apply to New Movement Seventh-day Adventists?

Dear Reader,

I am not a verbalist.  For decades I have realized that there were date changes and other changes in Ellen White’s writings that she approved of and some which she obviously did not approve.  However, I believe that God has preserved all important data that we need at the end-time.  This document contributes much to a proof of that fact.

A verbalist believes in word inspiration.  I do not, either for Scripture or the Spirit of Prophecy.  However, because Ellen White said the following words, it would not become her to omit an entire paragraph of the magnitude we will discover in this document.

"I am not to retract ONE WORD OF THE MESSAGE I HAVE BORNE."  E.G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 5, p. 231, April 19, 1906."

  "The past fifty years have not dimmed one jot or principle of our faith as we received the great and wonderful evidences that were made certain to us in 1844, after the passing of the time. The languishing souls are to be confirmed and quickened according to His word. And many of the ministers of the gospel and the Lord's physicians will have their languishing souls quickened according to the word. Not a word is changed or denied. That which the Holy Spirit testified to as truth after the passing of the time, in our great disappointment, is the solid foundation of truth. Pillars of truth were revealed, and we accepted the foundation principles that have made us what we are--Seventh-day Adventists, keeping the commandments of God and having the faith of Jesus. {SpTB07 58.1}

Though “…many of the ministers of the gospel and the Lord's physicians will have their languishing souls quickened according to the word,” the final warning Loud Cry message will not be committed to them, as we will prove in short-shrift from the Spirit of Prophecy.

The following statement from the 1884 Great Controversy (Spirit of Prophecy, Vol. 4), is a lot of words that you will not find in the 1911 Great Controversy.  These words ill-reflect on the leaders and the SDA church militant.  There is a definite change of the message Ellen White had borne in 1884.

The Lord has shown this writer that Ellen White would not to retract whole paragraphs of such important meaning regarding  the message she had borne.  This entire paragraph was omitted from all Great Controversy's after 1884:

"Jesus sends his people a message of warning to prepare them for his coming. To the prophet John was made known the closing work in the great plan of man's redemption. He beheld an angel flying "in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his Judgment is come; and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters." [REV. 14:6, 7.]

     The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message, symbolizes a class of faithful men, who, obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth."  E. G. White, The Great Controversy, 1884 edition, which was called The Spirit of Prophecy, Vol. 4.  (Not to be confused with Testimonies, Vol. 4).

The above paragraph is most important for the following reasons:

1.    It says who the prophet John's message of warning was sent to:  "His people."  This would include all God's professing people.

2.    It says that the Everlasting Gospel of Revelation 14 is a warning to prepare His people for His coming.

3.    It identifies the Everlasting Gospel to all that dwell on earth--every nation, kindred, tongue and people.

4.    It specifies who the angel represented in prophecy is that delivers this message--"A class of faithful men."

5.    The Three Angel's message is delivered by faithful men.  The three angel's are faithful men.

6.    The three angel’s message as given by faithful men, separates the wheat from the tares and binds the wheat for the heavenly garner.

7.    All the above combined with the following paragraph tell us much important data:  "This message was not to be committed to the religious leaders of the people. They had failed to preserve their connection with God, and had REFUSED THE LIGHT FROM HEAVEN therefore they WERE NOT of the number described by the apostle
Paul: 'But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day we are not of the night nor of darkness' [1 Thess. 5:4, 5].

8.    The last message will not be given by the religious leaders, SDA and/or otherwise.  Why?  They failed to preserve their connection with God and had REFUSED THE LIGHT FROM HEAVEN.

9.    All of the above is of extreme unction to the cause of God.  Why was an entire paragraph left out?

Why would such an important PARAGRAPH be expunged if Ellen White was not to retract ONE WORLD OF THE MESSAGE SHE HAD BORNE?  That paragraph states the entire mission of Seventh-day Adventists and confirms the following important data:

"I was shown that the THIRD ANGEL, proclaiming the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, represents the PEOPLE who receive this message and raise the voice in warning to the world." Testimonies for the Church, vol. 1, 77.

"I then saw the THIRD ANGEL. Said my accompanying angel, 'Fearful is his work. Awful is his mission. He is the angel that is to select the wheat from the tares, and seal, or bind, the wheat for the heavenly garner." E.G. White, Early Writings, 118.

"The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message, symbolizes a class of faithful men, who obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth. This message WAS NOT to be committed to the religious leaders of the people." E.. White, The Spirit of Prophecy, vol. 4, 199, 200.

Third Angel—“No one hears the voice of these angels, for they are a symbol to represent the people of God who are working in harmony with the universe of heaven.  Men and women, enlightened by the Spirit of God and sanctified through the truth, proclaim the three messages in their order.”  E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk. 2, p. 387.

Jesus sends his people a message of warning to prepare them for his coming. 14:6, 7.]

The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message, symbolizes a class of faithful men, who, obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth. This message was not to be committed to the religious leaders of the people.

They had failed to preserve their connection with God, and had refused the light from Heaven; therefore they were not of the number described by the apostle Paul: "But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day; we are not of the night nor of darkness." [1 THESS. 5:4, 5.]

The watchmen upon the walls of Zion should be the first to catch the tidings of the Saviour's advent, the first to lift their voices to proclaim him near, the first to warn the people to prepare for his coming. But they were at ease, dreaming of peace and safety, while the people were asleep in their sins. Jesus saw his church, like the barren fig-tree, covered with pretentious leaves, yet destitute of precious fruit. There was a boastful observance of the forms of religion, while the spirit of true humility, penitence and faith--which alone could render the service acceptable to God--was lacking. Instead of the graces of the Spirit, there were manifested pride, formalism, vainglory, selfishness, oppression. A backsliding church closed their eyes to the signs of the times. God did not forsake them, or suffer his faithfulness to fail; but they departed from him, and separated themselves from his love. As they refused to comply with the conditions, his promises were not fulfilled to them.

From the Hebrew  Scriptures they had learned of the Star to arise out of Jacob, and with eager desire they waited His coming, who should be not only the "Consolation of Israel," but a "Light to lighten the Gentiles," and "for salvation unto the ends of the earth." [LUKE 2:25, 32; ACTS 13:47.] They were seekers for light, and light from the throne of God illumined the path for their feet. While the priests and rabbis of Jerusalem, the appointed guardians and expounders of the truth, were shrouded in darkness, the Heaven-sent star guided these Gentile strangers to the birthplace of the new-born King.

It is "unto them that look for him" that Christ is to "appear the second time, without sin unto salvation." [HEB. 9:28.] Like the tidings of the Saviour's birth, the message of the second advent was not committed to the religious leaders of the people. They had failed to preserve their connection with God, and had refused light from Heaven; therefore they were not of the number described by the apostle Paul: "But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day; we are not of the night, nor of darkness." [1 THESS. 5:4, 5.]

It is "unto them that look for Him" that Christ is to "appear the second time without sin unto salvation." Hebrews 9:28. Like the tidings of the Saviour's birth, the message of the second advent was not committed to the religious leaders of the people. I will now tell you the REAL SERIOUSNESS of the paragraph that is omitted from 1884 on.  It is in the very first sentence of that paragraph (of the 1884 edition):

"Jesus sends his people a message of warning to prepare them for his coming."  I was not going to get into this at this time, but I received unction from the Lord early this a.m. to do so.  When SDA's violate the three angel's messages by ecumenical involvement, the three angel's message then applies to them!  That is why Ellen White said:  Jesus sends HIS PEOPLE a message of warning to prepare them for his coming.  The leaders did not like the warning applying so specifically to SDA's.  True, "His people," refers to all God's children and indeed the entire world--in principle, but that came a little too close to home for SDA leaders who were involved in fellowship with the works of darkness.  Now I am going to prove that the leaders in Ellen White's day were into violation of the three angel's messages:

"I have been shown that the spirit of the world is fast leavening the church. You are following the same path as did ancient Israel. There is the same falling away from your holy calling as God's peculiar people. You are having fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. Your  concord with unbelievers have provoked he Lord's displeasure. You know not the things that belong to your peace, and they are fast being hid from your eyes. [The very words applied to fallen Israel on page 17 of The Great Controversy] Your neglect to follow the light will place you in a more unfavorable position than the Jews upon whom Christ pronounced a woe." Testimonies, vol. 5, pp. 75-76.

If you will now turn to the Contents section of Testimonies, Vol. 5, you will find that the above statement was written in 1882.  So in 1882, two years before the 1884 Great Controversy was written, the leaders of God's people were having fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness--even to the point of CONCORD, which is agreement.  This is why the leaders would have motive for omitting the paragraph in question from future editions of The Great Controversy.   But God did not let the omission pass into oblivion!  It will now be agitated for I will do so on my Website.  God has now given me the go-ahead.  Ellen White may not have even fully understood that paragraph in question.  Often prophets did not fully understand all the implication of what they were shown.  But because SDA leaders have persisted in concord with the powers of darkness, God is letting the real truth of the matter come to surface again.

When SDA's violate the three angel's messages, those warning messages then apply to them.  For example, in 1844, all who heard and understood, but did not embrace the first and second angel's messages, received a "shut door" on salvation.  Ellen White never changed that part of the "shut door."

"The churches that would not receive the light of the first angel's message, and as they rejected the light from heaven they fell from the favor of God. They trusted in their own strength, and placed themselves by their opposition to the first message where they could not see the light of the second angel's message. But the beloved of God, who were oppressed, answered to the message, Babylon is fallen, and left the fallen churches." E.G. White, Spiritual Gifts, Volume 1, p. 140.

Clearly, rejecting any of the three angel's messages, and/or the Midnight Cry, is to render a church in a fallen state. SDA's have now violated everyone of those messages by Ecumenical Liaison with Babylon, via MEMBERSHIP in at least five Nationals Councils of Churches in the world, and MEMBERSHIP in localized Ministerial Associations. A PhD. official at the Canadian Council of Churches told me personally over the phone that local Ministerial Association are a local subsidiary of the World and National Councils of Churches. Ellen White said that we are not to be linked in any way with the fallen churches.

"Babylon of Revelation 18 [Revelation 18:1-8 quoted].--The whole chapter shows that Babylon that has fallen is the churches (plural) who will not receive the messages of warning the Lord has given in the first, second, and third angel's messages. They refused the truth and accepted a lie. They refused the messages of truth. See 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12." E.G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 361.

"In every part of the land, light was given upon the second angel's message, and the cry was melting down thousands. It went from city to city, and from village to village, until the waiting people of God were fully aroused. Many would not permit this message to enter the churches, and a large company who had the living testimony within them left the fallen churches. A mighty work was accomplished by the Midnight Cry." E.G. White, Spiritual Gifts, Volume 1, p. 141.

Shut Door

"I saw that in '44 God had opened a door and no man could shut it, and shut a door and no man could open it. Those who rejected the light which was brought to the world by the message of the second angel went into darkness, and how great was that darkness." {1BIO 259.3}

"I was shown in vision, and I still believe, that there was a shut door in 1844. All who saw the light of the first and second angels' messages and rejected that light were left in darkness. And those who accepted it and received the Holy Spirit which attended the proclamation of the message from heaven, and who afterward renounced their faith and pronounced their experience a delusion, thereby rejected the Spirit of God, and it no longer pleaded with them." {1BIO 260.8}

So how do SDA's get off nowadays, when they have certainly heard and understood the three angel's messages, and violate them via ecumenical concord and fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness--Babylon, via liaisons by way of Association, Council and Confederacy with Babylon.  So Ellen White was right in the paragraph she wrote in 1884:

"Jesus sends his people a message of warning to prepare them for his coming."  The warning also now applies to SDA's!  That is why there is another coming out.  And why shouldn't the warning apply to SDAs if they violate it after knowing it?  This is serious for ALL professing Seventh-day Adventists.

A fellow member of an SDA Internet forum once protested that I was applying the warning message to Babylon to SDA's.  Yes, duly and correctly so.  SDA's are many times more responsible for heeding the three angel's messages because they know them better than anyone else!  They will not violate them imperviously.  They will be broken in pieces for violating their direct mission and commission from God Almighty--the Three Angel's Messages, via concord with Babylon, per Isaiah 8:9-13.  Most sleeping virgin SDAs don't have a clue as to how serious this issue is.  This is why, according to God and Ellen White, Ezekiel 9 will be literally fulfilled in the Sanctuaries of professing Seventh-day Adventism around the world after the close of probation.

The reason that the last message IS NOT committed to SDA leaders is because of their concord with the powers of darkness.

Yes, Ellen White said that she would not retract one word of the message she had borne.  The following statement is a message detailing the end result of the SDA church militant.  And that message agrees with Ellen White's statement that Ezekiel 9 would be literally fulfilled.  Ezekiel 9 deals with spiritual Jerusalem.  Ezekiel's wheel within a wheel symbolizes a remnant within a remnant.  There is one more coming out of a faithful remnant, just as was the case in the PREFIGURE of A.D. 70.  Ellen White called that even a PREFIGURE.  A prefigure is a TYPE, and in that TYPE, a remnant fled the apostate Jewish church and began separation from it in A.D. 27, 43 years before it was destroyed.

Not to retract ONE WORD--  “I am not to retract ONE WORD OF THE MESSAGE I HAVE BORNE.”  E.G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 5, p. 231, April 19, 1906.

   “The past fifty years have not dimmed one jot or principle of our faith as we received the great and wonderful evidences that were made certain to us in 1844, after the passing of the time. The languishing souls are to be confirmed and quickened according to His word. Pillars of truth were revealed, and we accepted the foundation principles that have made us what we are--Seventh-day Adventists, keeping the commandments of God and having the faith of Jesus. {SpTB07 58.1}

The Prophesied Fall of The Professing Seventh-day Adventist Church

"Jesus sends  HIS PEOPLE a message of warning to prepare them for his coming. To the prophet John was made known the closing work in the great plan of man's redemption. He beheld an angel flying 'in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him for the hour of his Judgment is come and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters [Rev. 14:6, 7.].

The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message,  symbolizes a class of faithful men, who, obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth. This message was not to be committed to the religious leaders of the people. They had failed to preserve their connection with God, and had REFUSED THE LIGHT FROM HEAVEN therefore they WERE NOT of the number described by the apostle Paul: 'But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day we are not of the night nor of darkness' [1 Thess. 5:4, 5].

God did nor forsake them, or suffer his faithfulness to fail but they departed from him, and SEPARATED THEMSELVES from his love. As they  REFUSED TO COMPLY WITH THE CONDITIONS, his promises were NOT FULFILLED to them."  E.G. White, The Spirit of Prophecy,  vol. 4, pp. 199-200 [The 1884 edition of The Great Controversy, NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH TESTIMONIES, VOL 4].

Ron,

I got from this post that in 1884 you intimate that Ellen White has called the church Babylon. Yet she stayed with it for over 30 more years until her death. Why didn't she at that time initiate the "coming out?"
Karl

Ron responds:  Karl,

Ellen White warned that the church was playing the harlot.  She warned that the leaders were having concord and fellowship with the powers of darkness.  God gives a warning first before He removes Himself from His people.  The reason that Ellen White did not leave was because the church had not yet JOINED the powers of darkness in Association, Council and Confederacy.  Also, the church had not yet committed the Omega of Apostasy, outlined in Selected Messages, Bk. 1, 204-5.  But the warning was in place that the three angel's messages apply to all God's people, including SDA's.  Another Biblical confirmation of this is the fact that 7 women, all formally organized churches at the end-time, will be doing their own thing, Isaiah 4:1-4.

Did Ellen White call the church Babylon in the following statement?  No, but the provision was there.  The same provision was in Ellen White's statement that the three angel's message is a warning to all God's people.  Adventists are not excepted and impervious because they were chosen to give the message.  If they violate the first and second angel's messages, they will pay the price, and they have violated those messages.

"If the church of God becomes LUKEWARM [LAODICEAN] it does not stand in favor with God any more than do the churches that are represented as having fallen and become the habitation of devils and the hold of every foul spirit and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird. Those who have had opportunities to hear and receive the truth, and who have united with the Seventh-day Adventist church, calling themselves the commandment keeping people of God, and yet possess no more vitality and consecration to God than do the nominal churches, will receive of the plagues of God just as verily as the churches who oppose the law of God." E.G. White, Letter 35, 1898.

God bless all who are searching His Word as for hidden treasure,
