The Omega Being Taught by Sessler, Petula and

On May fourth, Steve N. Received the following reply from Robert Sessler regarding his belief on the Godhead, which Ellen White defined as a pillar, landmark doctrine of the church. It is interesting to note that Mr. Sessler took five months to respond to Steve. My response will follow that of Mr. Sessler.

Subject: [AdventistHotIssues] Robert Sessler on the Godhead....RESPONSE!!!!!!

Dear Forum,

On December 30 last year I emailed Robert Sessler to gain an insight into his view of the Godhead and as I was studying the Incarnation I asked Elder Bob to comment on Brother Ron’s interpretation and his view of it!!!!!!!

4 months later….I have received a reply?!! I have sat on this a few days as I want to make a technical reply on Sabbath with all relevant texts but here is Elder Bob’s reply, uncut. I’d be interested in any suggestions for the content of the RESPONSE I will be writing this Sabbath. :-)

Steve.

Dear brother Steve,

    1 John 3:1.

Thank you for your e-mail and questions, and sorry for taking so long to get back to you.

The easiest way to prove that the Holy Spirit was not split out from Christ when He became human is to show that the Holy Spirit existed prior to the incarnation.  Genesis 1:2, 6:3; Nehemiah 9:20; Job 26:13; Psalms 104:30 clearly show this to be true.  Besides, it was the Father and the Holy Spirit that sent Jesus down to the earth connected with the plan of our salvation (Isaiah 48:16), and thus the Holy Spirit was a separate Being from Jesus before Jesus was born a human!

If you would like to study out more on this or similar topic regarding the Godhead, please visit our site at www.LightMinistries.com/SDA

If I can be of any further service, please let me know.

May God bless you with His Spirit and truth,

    James 1:5,

    elder robert

Ron’s response:

In the alpha of apostasy, the teachings of John Harvey Kellogg removed the Sanctuary and the Atonement sacrifice of Jesus in the heavenly Sanctuary. Ellen White prophesied that the omega would be far more comprehensive in doing the same thing. Notice:

“Be not deceived; many will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. We have now before us the alpha of this danger. The omega will be of a most startling nature.”--Letter 263, 1904, p. 4. (To Our Leading Physicians, July 24, 1904.) {7MR 188.2}

The alpha of apostasy had the effect of sweeping away the entire Christian economy by denying the divestation sacrifice that occurred in the heavenly Sanctuary at the Incarnation of the Son of God. The Trinity Doctrine totally denies this “divestation” act by teaching that the Holy Spirit always existed from eternity as a third person. That teaching, the central doctrine of Rome, no less, via its Trinity Doctrine, is repeated by any teaching that denies the divestation that Ellen White said took place at the Incarnation.

Robert Sessler, Nicolas Petula, and all others associated with Sessler’s ministry, have made this antichrist denial of the divestation of the Son of God, by teaching that no such thing occurred. This denies the highest good, crowning sacrificial gift that heaven can bestow—the Sanctuary Atonement and the ensuing gift of the divested Holy Spirit soul of the life of Christ for the distinct purpose of restoring man to the image of God and empowering him to overcome sin.

In the alpha of apostasy, this error effectually removed the Sanctuary and the Atonement and swept away the entire Christian economy. So this is no minor difference to be viewed lightly and of little consequence. \

Godhead as a pillar doctrine -- Personality of God and of Christ Landmarks: "Those who seek to remove the old landmarks are not holding fast they are not remembering how they have received and heard. Those who try to bring in theories that would remove the pillars of our faith concerning the sanctuary or concerning the personality of God or of Christ, are working as blind men. They are seeking to bring in uncertainties and to set the people of God adrift without an anchor." {MR760 9.5}

"The spiritualistic theories regarding the personality of God [the Godhead], followed to their logical conclusion, sweep away the whole Christian economy. They estimate as nothing the light that Christ came from heaven to give John to give to His people. They teach that the scenes just before us are not of sufficient importance to be given special attention. They make of no effect the truth of heavenly origin, and rob the people of God of their past experience, giving them instead a false science." E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk.1, p. 204.

The Trinity Doctrine is a spiritualistic theory of man. Sessler’s teaching on the Godhead is a spiritualistic theory of man which contradicts Scripture and Ellen White on the Godhead. Both sweep away the entire Christian economy by doing away with the Heavenly Sanctuary/Atonement sacrifice.

"You are not definitely clear on the personality of God, which is everything to us as a people. You have virtually destroyed the Lord God Himself." EGW letter 300 1903.

·       It is no minor apostasy to remove an old landmark pillar doctrine of our faith concerning the sanctuary or concerning the personality of God or of Christ.

·       Such men who do this are working as blind men no matter what they say of other apostasies of the church. They are committing the worst apostasy imaginable because their apostasy touches the “highest good, crowing gift that heaven can bestow.” Notice:

"Christ declared that after his ascension, he would send to his church, as his crowning gift, the Comforter, who was to take his place. This Comforter is the Holy Spirit,--the soul of his life, the efficacy of his church, the light and life of the world. With his Spirit Christ sends a reconciling influence and a power that takes away sin.

In the gift of the Spirit, Jesus gave to man the highest good that heaven could bestow....

The Spirit was given as a regenerating agency, and without this [the gift of His Holy Spirit life and soul for regeneration [the sacrifice of Christ on the cross] would have been of no avail....

It is by the Spirit that the heart is made pure. Through the Spirit the believer becomes a partaker of the divine nature. Christ has given his Spirit as a divine power to overcome all hereditary and cultivated tendencies to evil, and to impress his own character upon the church." E.G. White, Review and Herald Articles, May 19, 1904, vol. 5, p. 42.

The Clear Divestation Which Sessler and Company Deny

Robert Sessler and followers declare contrary to Ellen White:

The easiest way to prove that the Holy Spirit was not split out from Christ when He became human is to show that the Holy Spirit existed prior to the incarnation.”

Ron responds:

·       Ellen White clearly says that the Holy Spirit soul of the life of Christ was divested from the personality of the Son’s human personality and became independent thereof. How much clearer could it be said? And Robert Sessler contradicts those very words.

·       Of course the Holy Spirit (Divine Nature) of the Son of God always existed from eternity. Of course it was present at creation, Genesis 1:1, 2. But it was divested from the personality of Christ at His Incarnation to become a third person.

·       Sessler uses the word “split out from Christ when he became human…” He says no such thing occurred. Ellen White said that

“Cumbered with humanity Christ could not be in every place personally, therefore it was altogether for their advantage that He should leave them to go to His Father and send the Holy Spirit to be His successor on earth. The Holy Spirit is Himself divested of the personality of humanity and independent thereof. He would represent Himself as present in all places by His Holy Spirit.” E.G. White, (Manuscript Releases Volume 14 (No’s 1081-1135) MR No.1084.

"The apostle would call our attention from ourselves to the Author of our salvation. He presents before us His two natures, divine and human. . . . He voluntarily assumed human nature. It was His own act, and by His own consent. He clothed His divinity with humanity. He was all the while as God, but He did not appear as God. He veiled the demonstrations of Deity which had commanded the homage, and called forth the admiration of the universe of God. He was God while upon earth, but He divested Himself of the form of God, and in its stead took the form and fashion of a man. He walked the earth as a man. For our sakes He became poor, that we through His poverty might be made rich. He laid aside His glory and His majesty. He was God, but the glories of the form of God He for awhile relinquished. . . . He bore the sins of the world, and endured the penalty which rolled like a mountain upon His divine soul. He yielded up His life a sacrifice, that man should not eternally die. He died, not through being compelled to die, but by His own free will." E.G. White, SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 7a, p. 446.

Link To divested

Christ was actually divested, stripped, of his Divine Nature Holy Spirit personality and His humanity became independent of that personality FOREVER.

What about the glories he for awhile relinquished? The glories have to do with great honor, praise and distinction that the Son had in heaven before the Incarnation. These would be restored, but Jesus remains combined with humanity FOREVER says the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy.

Christ Combined With Humanity Forever

Christ as a man forever – “Hebrews 7:24 But this [man], because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.”

 “Christ ascended to heaven, bearing a sanctified, holy humanity. He took this humanity with Him into the heavenly courts, and through the eternal ages He will bear it, as the One who has redeemed every human being in the city of God.”--The Review and Herald, March 9, 1905. {7ABC 488.1}

“In stooping to take upon Himself humanity, Christ revealed a character the opposite of the character of Satan. . . . In taking our nature, the Saviour has bound Himself to humanity by a tie that is never to be broken. Through the eternal ages He is linked with us. "God so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son." John 3:16. He gave Him not only to bear our sins, and to die as our sacrifice He gave Him to the fallen race. To assure us of His immutable counsel of peace, God gave His only-begotten Son to become one of the human family, forever to retain His human nature. This is the pledge that God will fulfill His word. "Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder." God has adopted human nature in the person of His Son, and has carried the same into the highest heaven.”--Ibid., p. 25. {7ABC 456.4}

Sessler’s Cop Out

Sessler uses Ellen White’s statements wherein she says we should not speculate on the Godhead issue. But if it is a pillar, landmark doctrine, we certainly should know what she says about it and what the Bible teaches us.

What About All Three Persons Pledging Themselves to Work out the Plan of Redemption?

Pledged themselves -- ALL THREE: "The Godhead was stirred with pity for the race, and the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit gave Themselves to the working out of the plan of redemption. In order to fully carry out this plan, it was decided that Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, should give Himself an offering for sin. What line can measure the depth of this love? God would make it impossible for man to say that He could have done more. With Christ He gave all the resources of heaven, that nothing might be wanting in the plan for man's uplifting. Here is love--the contemplation of which should fill the soul with inexpressible gratitude! Oh, what love, what matchless love! The contemplation of this love will cleanse the soul from all selfishness. It will lead the disciple to deny self, take up the cross, and follow the Redeemer." E.G. White, Councils on Health, pp. 222, 223.

Question: When Jesus gave Himself for the redemption of man from the foundation of the world, were all three persons, the Father, the Holy Spirit and the Son of God present when the Son voluntarily pledged Himself as man’s redemption by offering Himself in atonement for our sin? Yes they were because that is exactly when Jesus was slain from the foundation of the earth.

Revelation 13:8
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

"He (Christ) suffered the death which was ours, that we might receive the life which WAS His." Desire of Ages, p. 25 1 Cor. 11:24-265, cf. John 6:53, 54, Titus 3:5, 6.

One Spirit Eternal Spirit

Hbr 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Jhn 4:24 God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.

“They have one God and one Saviour; and one Spirit—the Spirit of Christ” (9T p. 289)

“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is; there is Liberty.” (2 Cor. 3:17)

“For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself.” John 5:26.

"He (Christ) suffered the death which was ours, that we might receive the life which WAS His." Desire of Ages, p. 25 1 Cor. 11:24-265, cf. John 6:53, 54, Titus 3:5, 6.

The Testator’s Covenant

Hbr 9:16 For where a testament [is], there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

Hbr 9:17 For a testament [is] of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

The Testator had to die forever in some way because otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. He died to His past pre-Incarnation Divine Nature Holy Spirit FOREVER, giving it to us as the highest good, crowning gift heaven can bestow.

"The darkness rolled away from the Saviour and from the Cross. Christ bowed His head and died. In His Incarnation He had reached the prescribed limit as a sacrifice, but not as a redeemer." E.G. White Manuscript Releases Volume Twelve, p. 409.

What was the prescribed limit as a sacrifice? That the Testator die to something not for three days and nights, but forever—which is commensurate with our wages of sin—eternal death for unrepented of sin. That was the only prescribed limit fulfilled BEFORE the cross, where the price was paid for our redemption by His taking of our sins upon Himself.

Take away any of the above facts of the Heavenly Sanctuary Incarnation Atonement, and the Sanctuary and Atonement are rendered as GONE. That is what the Alpha of Apostasy achieved in effect, and that is what the omega achieves:

Sanctuary Gone Atonement Gone -- "In a representation which passed before me, I saw a certain work being done by medical missionary workers. Our ministering brethren were looking on, watching what was being done, but they did not seem to understand. The foundation of our faith, which was established by so much prayer, such earnest searching of the Scriptures, was being taken down, pillar by pillar. Our faith was to have nothing to rest upon--the sanctuary was gone, the atonement was gone." E.G. White, The Upward Look, 152.

The Entire Christian Economy is Swept Away

Is this a minor difference over a minor doctrine? Nay friend, not when the entire Christian economy is swept away by the error accompanying this apostasy.

Is the following act any more acceptable in the omega than it was in the alpha? Do away with the prescribed limit of a sacrifice [the divestment of the personality of Christ’s former Holy Spirit from His humanity--forever] and you do away with the Sanctuary and Atonement.

"In a representation which passed before me, I saw a certain work being done. The foundation of our faith, which was established by so much prayer, much earnest searching of the Scriptures, was being taken down, pillar by pillar. Our faith was to have nothing to rest upon--the sanctuary was gone, the atonement was gone." Manuscript 46, May 18, 1904; The Upward Look, p.152.

In the Alpha the ministering brethren like Sessler and Petula, did not seem to understand how Kellogg’s error did away with the Sanctuary and the Atonement. In the omega, Sessler and Petula as well as the SDA ministers, do not see how their Trinity Doctrine does away with the Heavenly Sanctuary Atonement sacrifice. The Trinity Doctrine does it by saying the Holy Spirit always existed as a third person and was not therefore divested from Christ’s personality at His Incarnation as the prescribed limit of a forever sacrifice. Sessler and Petula are saying the very same thing.

The omega of apostasy is the thing that works antiChrist to “the highest good, crowing gift that heaven can bestow,” the gift of the Holy Spirit, the soul of the life of Christ. Can you know see why Ezekiel 22:24 says that the Holy Spirit will not rained upon the church in the day of indignation—the end-time? Can you not see how the Holy Spirit will not accompany Sessler’s and any independent ministry if they make the same mistake by adopting a teaching on the Godhead that results in the same aggravated, antichrist apostasy, by saying Christ was not divested, stripped, split off from anything at His Incarnation? This is more serious than words can covey.

The worst apostasy of the professing SDA church is the 1980 adoption of Rome’s Central Doctrine, the Trinity Doctrine, for all of the above reasons, and Sessler and company are teaching a version of the Godhead that results in the same denial—the formation of a third person as the result of the Son divesting His Divine Nature Holy Spirit personality from His humanity at His Incarnation and giving it to man as the highest good, crowning gift heaven can bestow so as to be regenerated back into the nature of God and for empowerment in overcoming sin.

2 Peter 1:4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

“They must have His grace, the Spirit of Christ, to help their infirmities, or they cannot form a Christian character. Jesus loves to have us come to Him, just as we are—sinful, helpless, dependent.” Faith and Works, p. 38.

“Christ gives them the breath of His own Spirit, the life of His own Life.” Desire of Ages, p. 827, par. 3.

Act 3:26  Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

It is some irony that Let there be Light Ministries, led by Robert Sessler, is guilty of teaching the most serious antichrist omega apostasy. But as prophesied by Ellen White, some abhor one abomination only to embrace another, and in this case it involves THE WORST. If you think this is minor and of little consequence, then go back to the apostate church as fast as you can for Ezekiel 9 slaughter of men, maidens and little children, because like the ministering brethren in the Alpha, you don’t have the spiritual discernment to see how the Sanctuary/Atonement is GONE and the entire Christian economy is swept away by such error on the Godhead.

If you are a supporting member of Sessler, Petula or their associate ministries, you are corporately responsible for their most serious of all errors.

"The plain straight testimony must live in the church, or the curse of God will rest upon His people as surely as it did upon ancient Israel because of their sins. God holds His people, as a body [corporately], responsible for the sins existing in individuals among them." Testimonies, vol. 3, p. 269.
