Is There a Third Person in the Godhead?

Dear Reader,

Many professing SDA's are now teaching that there is no third person to the Godhead; that the Holy Spirit is only the influence of Father and the Son. This brings to mind the all important telling question:

If there is no third person, there was no Atonement, for Christ died only for three days and the Father did not die at all. Who paid the Atonement price for the wages of sin which is eternal death? That occurred when the Son divested Himself of His Holy Spirit Divine Nature (ONLY) and bequeathed it to us as the “highest good, crowning gift,” that heaven could bestow.

He then became united with humanity forever in another form, to forever “die” to His former existence as divinity ONLY.
