Review of Ty Gibson’s Book “Is the Church in Apostasy? Is it Time to Abandon Ship?”

“We have a testing message to give, and I am instructed to say to our people, 'Unify, Unify.'  But we are not to unify with those who are departing from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils." 3SM 412

"Christ calls for unity.  But He does not call for us to unify on wrong practices.  The God of heaven draws a sharp contrast between pure, elevating, ennobling truth and false, misleading doctrines....  I urge our brethren to unify upon a true, scriptural basis." 1SM 175

Noble Ship That Sinks: "I lately read of a NOBLE SHIP that was plowing its way across the sea, when at midnight, with a terrific crash, it struck upon a rock; the passengers were awakened only to see with horror their hopeless condition, and with the ship they sank to rise no more. The MAN AT THE HELM [VERSUS CHRIST] had mistaken the beacon light, and hundreds of souls were at a moment's warning launched into eternity." E.G. White, Selected Messages, vol. 2, 128.

Ship Drifting at Sea Without Chart or Compass: "The facts concerning the real condition of the professed people of God, speak more loudly than their profession, and make it evident that some power has cut the cable that anchored them to the Eternal Rock, and that they are drifting away to sea, without chart or compass." E.G. White, Selected Messages, vol. 2, p. 128, (Review and Herald, Vol. 2, p. 231). (Also see Fundamentals of Christian Education, p. 348).

As the title suggests, an overview of the book is that its objective is concerned about any fragmentation of the church. It is made very clear that unity must be maintained at any cost, and that the church IS NOT in apostasy. This is to be achieved by members being totally subjected to the decisions and authority of the leadership, so as to present a picture of total unity and Christ’s love to the world. In certain sections of the book, one would think Pope Francis is speaking per the great stress on unity and obedience to church leadership, no matter what the church does.

Stress is put on the notion that Adventists are the remnant of Revelation. A chosen people remnant suggests a theocracy, and indeed Ellen White says in more than one statement that the church is a theocracy, but this element is denied by the failure of the church to admit to the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy teaching of the principle of corporate responsibility.

The book paints the picture that the only apostasy in the church is the faults and defects of some tares who are to dwell with the wheat until the harvest. There is absolutely no mention of anything that would suggest abominable apostasy of the church for which we are to sigh and cry aloud, Ezekiel 9, and Isaiah 58:1.

Gibson bemoans the fact that some independent ministries have gone so far as to announce that: “the big boat is sinking and are urging its passengers to abandon ship, to join a  new true church, independently of the organized Seventh-day Adventist Church.” He seems to be totally oblivious to the fact that it is the omega new movement, new organization, formed within the SDA church that has removed pillar doctrines and God (1 Selected Messages, pp. 204-205), that has formed AN INDEPENDENT NEW CHURCH, that cannot properly be labeled as a “church” because as Ellen White states, only the presence of God can constitute a church, The Upward Look, p. 315.

Ty laments that “Bold independence is mounting. The sense of need to remain one cohesive body is weakening as Adventism ages.” p. 11. But he quickly reverts to his strong belief that God’s Word and the Spirit of Prophecy assure us that the church he is defending will be victorious after all the tares are removed by the shaking. He believes that his myopic interpretation of Ellen White statements that the leaders have misinterpreted and misapplied since Ellen White’s death, give him “sweet resolve” that he is making the picture clear as to the correct course on never abandoning the ship. He is totally sold out to the leader’s interpretation of the Ellen White’s statements they have used to convince the membership that they should remain in the church NO MATTER WHAT, AND THAT THE CHURCH IS NOT IN APOSTASY.

The book could not be more peace and safety oriented, as it teaches that all will come out in the wash, and that all the differences between the liberals and conservatives in the “church” will be all ironed out when those who can’t agree leave the “church” to join the enemy. Ty’s book does not once mention the following statement that describes the alpha and omega apostasy of the church:

“The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A new organization would be established. Books of a new order would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure. {1SM 204.2}

The above statement is so important to the issue at hand as regards the omega apostasy of the church, that I want you to see the entire context of the statement, as follows:

Chapter 10—The Foundation of Our Faith

The Lord will put new, vital force into His work as human agencies obey the command to go forth and proclaim the truth. He who declared that His truth would shine forever will proclaim this truth through faithful messengers, who will give the trumpet a certain sound. The truth will be criticized, scorned, and derided; but the closer it is examined and tested, the brighter it will shine. {SpTB02 51.1}

As a people, we are to stand firm on the platform of eternal truth that has withstood test and trial. We are to hold to the sure pillars of our faith. The principles of truth that God has revealed to us are our only true foundation. They have made us what we are. The lapse of time has not lessened their value. It is the constant effort of the enemy to remove these truths from their setting, and to put in their place spurious theories. He will bring in everything that he possibly can to carry out his deceptive designs. But the Lord will raise up men of keen perception, who will give these truths their proper place in the plan of God. {SpTB02 51.2}

I have been instructed by the heavenly messenger that some of the reasoning in the book, “Living Temple,” is unsound and that this reasoning would lead astray the minds of those who are not thoroughly established on the foundation principles of present truth. It introduces that which is naught but speculation in regard to the personality of God and where His presence is. No one on this earth has a right to speculate on this question. The more fanciful theories are discussed, the less men will know of God and of the truth that sanctifies the soul. {SpTB02 51.3}

One and another come to me, asking me to explain the positions taken in “Living Temple.” I reply, “They are unexplainable.” The sentiments expressed do not give a true knowledge of God. All through the book are passages of scripture. These scriptures are brought in in such a way that error is made to appear as truth. Erroneous theories are presented in so pleasing a way that unless care is taken, many will be misled. {SpTB02 52.1}

We need not the mysticism that is in this book. Those who entertain these sophistries will soon find themselves in a position where the enemy can talk with them, and lead them away from God. It is represented to me that the writer of this book is on a false track. He has lost sight of the distinguishing truths for this time. He knows not whither his steps are tending. The track of truth lies close beside the track of error, and both tracks may seem to be one to minds which are not worked by the Holy Spirit, and which, therefore, are not quick to discern the difference between truth and error. {SpTB02 52.2}

About the time that “Living Temple” was published, there passed before me in the night season, representations indicating that some danger was approaching, and that I must prepare for it by writing out the things God has revealed to me regarding the foundation principles of our faith. {SpTB02 52.3}

A copy of “Living Temple” was sent me, but it remained in my library, unread. From the light given me by the Lord, I knew that some of the sentiments advocated in the book, did not bear the indorsement of God, and that they were a snare that the enemy had prepared for the last days. I thought that this would surely be discerned, and that it would not be necessary for me to say anything about it. {SpTB02 52.4}

In the controversy that arose among our brethren regarding the teachings of this book, those in favor of giving it a wide circulation declared: “It contains the very sentiments that Sister White has been teaching.” This assertion struck right to my heart. I felt heart-broken; for I knew that this representation of the matter was not true. {SpTB02 53.1}

Finally my son said to me, “Mother, you ought to read at least some parts of the book, that you may see whether they are in harmony with the light that God has given you.” He sat down beside me, and together we read the preface, and most of the first chapter, and also paragraphs in other chapters. As we read, I recognized the very sentiments against which I had been bidden to speak in warning during the early days of my public labors. When I first left the State of Maine, it was to go through Vermont and Massachusetts, to bear a testimony against these sentiments. “Living Temple” contains the alpha of these theories. I knew that the omega would follow in a little while; and I trembled for our people. I knew that I must warn our brethren and sisters not to enter into controversy over the presence and personality of God. The statements made in “Living Temple” in regard to this point are incorrect. The scripture used to substantiate the doctrine there set forth, is scripture misapplied. {SpTB02 53.2}

Note by Ron: As Ellen White states within this document that the personality of God and Christ are pillar, landmark doctrine, makes it imperative that we teach the truth on this issue, which effects the entire Christian economy, just as Ellen White is doing in this manuscript. End note.

I am compelled to speak in denial of the claim that the teachings of “Living Temple” can be sustained by statements from my writings. There may be in this book expressions and sentiments that are in harmony with my writings. And there may be in my writings many statements which, taken from their connection, and interpreted according to the mind of the writer of “Living Temple,” would seem to be in harmony with the teachings of this book. This may give apparent support to the assertion that the sentiments in “Living Temple” are in harmony with my writings. But God forbid that this sentiment should prevail. {SpTB02 53.3}

Few can discern the result of entertaining the sophistries advocated by some at this time. But the Lord has lifted the curtain, and has shown me the result that would follow. The spiritualistic theories regarding the personality of God, followed to their logical conclusion, sweep away the whole Christian economy. They estimate as nothing the light that Christ came from heaven to give John to give to His people. They teach that the scenes just before us are not of sufficient importance to be given special attention. They make of no effect the truth of heavenly origin, and rob the people of God of their past experience, giving them instead a false science. {SpTB02 54.1}

In a vision of the night I was shown distinctly that these sentiments have been looked upon by some as the grand truths that are to be brought in and made prominent at the present time. I was shown a platform, braced by solid timbers,—the truths of the Word of God. Some one high in responsibility in the medical work was directing this man and that man to loosen the timbers supporting this platform. Then I heard a voice saying, “Where are the watchmen that ought to be standing on the walls of Zion? Are they asleep? This foundation was built by the Masterworker, and will stand storm and tempest. Will they permit this man to present doctrines that deny the past experience of the people of God? The time has come to take decided action.” {SpTB02 54.2}

The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A new organization would be established. Books of a new order would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath, of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure. {SpTB02 54.3}

Who has authority to begin such a movement? We have our Bibles. We have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the Holy Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not repudiate everything that is not in harmony with this truth? {SpTB02 55.1}

Note by Ron: The above statement was shown to Ellen White in vision. Clearly, we were not to join such a NEW MOVEMENT. Every specification of the above vision has been fulfilled, yet Ty Gibson and the leaders cannot see it. Because the New Movement was formed AMONG Seventh-day Adventists, they think it is okay. End note.

I hesitated and delayed about the sending out of that which the Spirit of the Lord impelled me to write. I did not want to be compelled to present the misleading influence of these sophistries. But in the providence of God, the errors that have been coming in must be met. {SpTB02 55.2}

Shortly before I sent out the testimonies regarding the efforts of the enemy to undermine the foundation of our faith through the dissemination of seductive theories, I had read an incident about a ship in a fog meeting an iceberg. For several nights I slept but little. I seemed to be bowed down as a cart beneath sheaves. One night a scene was clearly presented before me. A vessel was upon the waters, in a heavy fog. Suddenly the lookout cried, “Iceberg just ahead!” There, towering high above the ship, was a gigantic iceberg. An authoritative voice cried out, “Meet it!” There was not a moment’s hesitation. It was a time for instant action. The engineer put on full steam, and the man at the wheel steered the ship straight into the iceberg. With a crash she struck the ice. There was a fearful shock, and the iceberg broke into many pieces, falling with a noise like thunder to the deck. The passengers were violently shaken by the force of the collision, but no lives were lost. The vessel was injured, but not beyond repair. She rebounded from the contact, trembling from stem to stern, like a living creature. Then she moved forward on her way. {SpTB02 55.3}

Well I knew the meaning of this representation. I had my orders. I had heard the words, like a voice from our Captain, “Meet it!” I knew what my duty was, and that there was not a moment to lose. The time for decided action had come. I must without delay obey the command, “Meet it!” {SpTB02 56.1}

Note by Ron: Ellen White met the ICEBERG in the Alpha heresy. But she says further along in this testimony that the omega of a similar nature would surely come. But she also said that if the New Movement was actually formed in the church that NOTHING WOULD BE ALLOWED TO STAND IN THE WAY OF THE NEW MOVEMENT. She met the Alpha, but she is not around to MEET the Omega! That is why faithful watchmen must do that work. End note.

That night I was up at one o’clock, writing as fast as my hand could pass over the paper. For the next few days I worked early and late, preparing for our people the instruction given me regarding the errors that were coming in among us. {SpTB02 56.2}

I have been hoping that there would be a thorough reformation, and that the principles for which we fought in the early days, and which were brought out in the power of the Holy Spirit, would be maintained. {SpTB02 56.3}

Many of our people do not realize how firmly the foundation of our faith has been laid. My husband, Elder Joseph Bates, Father Pierce, Elder Edson, and others who were keen, noble, and true, were among those who, after the passing of the time in 1844, searched for the truth as for hidden treasure. I met with them, and we studied and prayed earnestly. Often we remained together until late at night, and sometimes through the entire night, praying for light and studying the word. Again and again these brethren came together to study the Bible, in order that they might know its meaning, and be prepared to teach it with power. When they came to the point in their study where they said, “We can do nothing more,” the Spirit of the Lord would come upon me, I would be taken off in vision, and a clear explanation of the passages we had been studying would be given me, with instruction as to how we were to labor and teach effectively. Thus light was given that helped us to understand the scriptures in regard to Christ, His mission, and His priesthood. A line of truth extending from that time to the time when we shall enter the city of God, was made plain to me, and I gave to others the instruction that the Lord had given me. {SpTB02 56.4}

During this whole time I could not understand the reasoning of the brethren. My mind was locked, as it were, and I could not comprehend the meaning of the scriptures we were studying. This was one of the greatest sorrows of my life. I was in this condition of mind until all the principal points of our faith were made clear to our minds, in harmony with the word of God. The brethren knew that when not in vision, I could not understand these matters, and they accepted as light direct from heaven the revelations given. {SpTB02 57.1}

For two or three years my mind continued to be locked to an understanding of the Scriptures. In the course of our labors, my husband and I visited Father Andrews, who was suffering intensely with inflammatory rheumatism. We prayed for him. I laid my hands on his head, and said, “Father Andrews, the Lord Jesus maketh thee whole.” He was healed instantly. He got up, and walked about the room, praising God, and saying, “I never saw it on this wise before. Angels of God are in this room.” The glory of the Lord was revealed. Light seemed to shine all through the house, and an angel’s hand was laid upon my head. From that time to this I have been able to understand the word of God. {SpTB02 57.2}

What influence is it that would lead men at this stage of our history to work in an underhanded, powerful way to tear down the foundation of our faith,—the foundation that was laid at the beginning of our work by prayerful study of the word and by revelation? Upon this foundation we have been building for the past fifty years. Do you wonder that when I see the beginning of a work that would remove some of the pillars of our faith, I have something to say? I must obey the command, “Meet it!” {SpTB02 58.1}

I have the tenderest feelings toward Dr. Kellogg. For many years I have tried to hold fast to him. God’s word to me has always been, “You can help him.” Sometimes I am awakened in the night, and, rising, I walk the room, praying: “O Lord, hold Dr. Kellogg fast. Do not let him go. Keep him steadfast. Anoint his eyes with the heavenly eyesalve, that he may see all things clearly.” Night after night I have lain awake, studying how I could help him. Earnestly and often I have prayed that the Lord may not permit him to turn away from sanctifying truth. This is the burden that weighs me down,—the desire that he shall be kept from making mistakes that would hurt his soul and injure the cause of present truth. But for some time his actions have revealed that a strange spirit is controlling him. The Lord will take this matter in His own hands. I must bear the messages of warning that God gives me to bear, and then leave with the Lord the results. I must now present the matter in all its bearings; for the people of God must not be despoiled. {SpTB02 58.2}

We are God’s commandment-keeping people. For the past fifty years every phase of heresy has been brought to bear upon us, to becloud our minds regarding the teaching of the word,—especially concerning the ministration of Christ in the heavenly sanctuary, and the message of heaven for these last days, as given by the angels of the fourteenth chapter of Revelation. Messages of every order and kind have been urged upon Seventh-day Adventists, to take the place of the truth which, point by point, has been sought out by prayerful study, and testified to by the miracle-working power of the Lord. But the way-marks which have made us what we are, are to be preserved, and they will be preserved, as God has signified through His word and the testimony of His Spirit. He calls upon us to hold firmly, with the grip of faith, to the fundamental principles that are based upon unquestionable authority. {SpTB02 59.1}

Chapter 24—The Alpha and the Omega

[During the summer of 1904, at a critical point in the crisis over the promulgation by Dr. J. H. Kellogg of pantheistic theories, and at a time when he was advocating unsound policies relating to the management of our medical work, Ellen G. White sounded a number of warnings, which were assembled and “Published for the Author” in a sixty-page pamphlet, Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 2, entitled “Testimonies for the Church Containing Letters to Physicians and Ministers Giving Messages of Warning and Words of Counsel and Admonition Regarding our Present Situation.” In two of these communications she refers to “The Alpha and the Omega.” Following are the two statements in their entirety as taken from the pamphlet. Further counsels making reference to pantheism may be found in Testimonies for the Church 8:255-318 and The Ministry of Healing, 427-438. For the background of the experience with pantheism, see A. G. Daniells’ The Abiding Gift of Prophecy, pages 330-342, and L. H. Christian’s .—Compilers.]

Teach the Word

Washington, D.C.

July 24, 1904 {1SM 193}

To Our Leading Physicians:

Dear Fellow Worker,

I am awakened at eleven o’clock. The representations passing before me are so vivid that I cannot sleep. The word of the Lord has come to me that there is a decided work to be done in warning our medical missionaries against the dangers and perils that surround them. {1SM 193.1}

The Lord calls upon those connected with our sanitariums to reach a higher standard. No lie is of the truth. If we follow cunningly devised fables, we unite with the enemy’s forces against God and Christ. God calls upon those who have been wearing a yoke of human manufacture to break this yoke, and no longer be the bond servants of men. {1SM 194.1}

The battle is on. Satan and his angels are working with all deceivableness of unrighteousness. They are untiring in their efforts to draw souls away from the truth, away from righteousness, to spread ruin throughout the universe. They work with marvelous industry to furnish a multitude of deceptions to take souls captive. Their efforts are unceasing. The enemy is ever seeking to lead souls into infidelity and skepticism. He would do away with God, and with Christ, who was made flesh and dwelt among us to teach us that in obedience to God’s will we may be victorious over sin. {1SM 194.2}

Assailed by Every Form of Evil

Every form of evil is waiting for an opportunity to assail us. Flattery, bribes, inducements, promises of wonderful exaltation, will be most assiduously employed. {1SM 194.3}

What are God’s servants doing to raise the barrier of a “Thus saith the Lord” against this evil? The enemy’s agents are working unceasingly to prevail against the truth. Where are the faithful guardians of the Lord’s flocks? Where are His watchmen? Are they standing on the high tower, giving the danger signal, or are they allowing the peril to pass unheeded? Where are the medical missionaries? Are they co-workers with Christ, wearing His yoke, or are they wearing a yoke of human manufacture? {1SM 194.4}

Satan and his angels are making every effort to obtain control of minds, that men may be swayed by falsehood and pleasing fables. Are our physicians lifting the danger signal? Are the men who have been placed in prominent positions in our sanitariums lifting the danger signal? Or are many of the watchmen asleep, while mischievous tongues and acute minds, sharpened by long practice in evading the truth, are continually at work to bring in confusion, and to carry out plans instigated by the enemy? {1SM 194.5}

Please read Paul’s exhortation to the Colossians. He speaks of his earnest desire that the hearts of the believers might be “knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:2, 3). “And this I say,” he declares, “lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.... As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily” (Colossians 2:4-9). {1SM 195.1}

Will the men in our institutions keep silent, allowing insidious fallacies to be promulgated to the ruin of souls? The sentiments of the enemy are being scattered everywhere. Seeds of discord, of unbelief, of infidelity, are being sown broadcast. Shall our medical missionaries raise no barrier against this evil? Is it not time that we asked ourselves, Shall we allow the adversary to lead us to give up the work of proclaiming the truth? Shall we allow him to keep us from being channels through which the blessings of the gospel, as a current of life, shall flow to the world? Let every man now arouse, and work as he has opportunity. Let him speak words in season and out of season, and look to Christ for encouragement and strength in welldoing. {1SM 195.2}

Dangers Continually Increasing

The dangers coming upon us are continually increasing. It is high time that we put on the whole armor of God, and work earnestly to keep Satan from gaining any further advantage. Angels of God, that excel in strength, are waiting for us to call them to our aid, that our faith may not be eclipsed by the fierceness of the conflict. Renewed energy is now needed. Vigilant action is called for. Indifference and sloth will result in the loss of personal religion and of heaven. {1SM 195.3}

At this time the Laodicean message is to be given, to arouse a slumbering church. Let the thought of the shortness of time stimulate you to earnest, untiring effort. Remember that Satan has come down with great power, to work with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish. {1SM 196.1}

For years our physicians have been trained to think that they must not give expression to sentiments that differ from those of their chief. [Reference is here made to Dr. J. H. Kellogg, for many years the medical superintendent of the Battle Creek Sanitarium.—Compilers.] O that they had broken the yoke! O that they had called sin by its right name! Then they would not be regarded in the heavenly courts as men who, though bearing weighty responsibilities, have failed of speaking the truth in reproof of that which has been in disobedience to God’s Word. {1SM 196.2}

Physicians, have you been doing the Master’s business in listening to fanciful and spiritualistic interpretations of the Scriptures, interpretations which undermine the foundations of our faith, and holding your peace? God says, “Neither will I be with you any more, unless you awake, and vindicate your Redeemer.” {1SM 196.3}

Sophistries That Undermine the Pillars

My message to you is: No longer consent to listen without protest to the perversion of truth. Unmask the pretentious sophistries which, if received, will lead ministers and physicians and medical missionary workers to ignore the truth. Every one is now to stand on his guard. God calls upon men and women to take their stand under the blood-stained banner of Prince Emmanuel. I have been instructed to warn our people; for many are in danger of receiving theories and sophistries that undermine the foundation pillars of the faith. {1SM 196.4}

Sometimes our physicians talk for hours, when they are weary and perplexed, and in no fit condition to talk. Medical missionaries should refuse to hold long night sessions of conversation. These night talks have been times when Satan with his seductive influence has stolen away from one and then another the faith once delivered to the saints. Brilliant, sparkling ideas often flash from a mind that is influenced by the great deceiver. Those who listen and acquiesce will become charmed, as Eve was charmed by the serpent’s words. They cannot listen to charming philosophical speculations, and at the same time keep the word of the living God clearly in mind. {1SM 197.1}

Our physicians have lost a great deal out of their lives because they have seen wrong transactions and heard wrong words spoken, and seen wrong principles followed, and have not spoken in reproof, for fear that they would be repulsed. {1SM 197.2}

I call upon those who have been connected with these binding influences to break the yoke to which they have long submitted, and stand as free men in Christ. Nothing but a determined effort will break the spell that is upon them. {1SM 197.3}

The Alpha Now Seen

Be not deceived; many will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. We have now before us the alpha of this danger. The omega will be of a most startling nature. {1SM 197.4}

We need to study the words that Christ uttered in the prayer that He offered just before His trial and crucifixion. “These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word” (John 17:1-6). {1SM 197.5}

Christians to Manifest Godliness

The righteousness of God is absolute. This righteousness characterizes all His works, all His laws. As God is, so must His people be. The life of Christ is to be revealed in the lives of His followers. In all His public and private acts, in every word and deed, practical godliness was seen, and this godliness is to be seen in the lives of His disciples. {1SM 198.1}

Those who heed the light given them will bring the virtues of the character of Christ into the daily life. Christ did no sin, because there was no sin in Him. God has shown me that the lives of believers are to reveal practical righteousness. {1SM 198.2}

Has not God spoken in His Word concerning the solemn events which must shortly take place? As you read these things, do you believe what He says? Or have you, through listening to specious philosophy, given up your faith in God? Can any power avert the punishment that must come upon you unless you humble your hearts before God and confess your sins? How is it, my brethren in the medical missionary work? Does not the living God speak to you from His Word concerning the events that are taking place in fulfillment of that Word? Soon the last great reckoning with man will take place. Have your lives been such that you can then be weighed in the balances of the sanctuary, and not be found wanting? Or has your faith been molded and restricted until it has become unbelief? Has your obedience to men become rebellion against God? “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves” (2 Corinthians 13:5).—Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 2, 12-17. {1SM 198.3}

Beware

My Dear Brother:

I am given a message to bear to you and the rest of our physicians who are connected with the Medical Missionary Association. Separate from the influence exerted by the book Living Temple; [A 568-page book issued in 1903 by Dr. J. H. Kellogg in which pantheistic philosophies were promulgated.—Compilers.] for it contains specious sentiments. There are in it sentiments that are entirely true, but these are mingled with error. Scriptures are taken out of their connection, and are used to uphold erroneous theories. {1SM 199.1}

The thought of the errors contained in this book has given me great distress, and the experience that I have passed through in connection with the matter has nearly cost me my life. {1SM 199.2}

It will be said that Living Temple has been revised. But the Lord has shown me that the writer has not changed, and that there can be no unity between him and the ministers of the gospel while he continues to cherish his present sentiments. I am bidden to lift my voice in warning to our people, saying, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked” (Galatians 6:7). {1SM 199.3}

You have had access to Testimonies for the Church, volumes 7 and 8. In these Testimonies the danger signal is raised. But the light so clear and plain to minds that have not been influenced by deceptive theories, has not been discerned by some. While the misleading theories of this book are entertained by our physicians, there cannot be union between them and the ministers who are bearing the gospel message. There should be no union until there is a change. {1SM 199.4}

When medical missionaries make their practice and example harmonize with the name they bear, when they feel their need of uniting firmly with the ministers of the gospel, then there can be harmonious action. But we must firmly refuse to be drawn away from the platform of eternal truth, which since 1844 has stood the test. {1SM 199.5}

Alpha Presented in “Living Temple”

I am instructed to speak plainly. “Meet it,” is the word spoken to me. “Meet it firmly, and without delay.” But it is not to be met by our taking our working forces from the field to investigate doctrines and points of difference. We have no such investigation to make. In the book Living Temple there is presented the alpha of deadly heresies. The omega will follow, and will be received by those who are not willing to heed the warning God has given. {1SM 200.1}

Our physicians, upon whom important responsibilities rest, should have clear spiritual discernment. They are to stand constantly on guard. Dangers that we do not now discern will soon break upon us, and I greatly desire that they shall not be deceived. I have an intense longing to see them standing free in the Lord. I pray that they may have courage to stand firm for the truth as it is in Jesus, holding fast the beginning of their confidence unto the end.—Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 2, 49, 50. {1SM 200.2}

In March of 1982, Ty Gibson was baptized as a new Seventh-day Adventist. He soon encountered some independent ministries and became alarmed at what he then regarded as serious apostasy. He co-founded Light Bearers Ministry, with James Rafferty, and they published two booklets entitled Voice of the Dragon, which were very good and dealt with many serious statements by the Spirit of Prophecy. He has since totally abandoned all those “negative” statements which are a vital part of the weight of evidence any honest seeker for truth must seriously weigh.

Years later, Ty met with SDA leaders who convinced him he was wrong. His book deals with some of the statements that changed his mind. He now thinks he has found statements that really checkmate the independent ministries. The statements Ty quotes reveal just how ignorant he is regarding all the weight of evidence, or he is deliberately leaving out anything negative Ellen said about the church. I will provide extremely important E. G White statements that totally refute the main statements that “converted” him back to the apostate church.

Ty Gibson’s book attempts to defend the church using the form of “proof quote,” in lieu of the full weight of evidence interpreted so that nothing contradicts as Ellen White directed, to wit:

Weight of Evidence Formula: "1. Every word must have its proper bearing on the subject presented in the Bible 2. All Scripture is necessary, and may be understood by diligent application and study 3. Nothing revealed in Scripture can or will be hid from those who ask in faith, not wavering 4. To understand doctrine, bring all the scriptures together on the subject you wish to know, then let every word have its proper influence and if you can form your theory without a contradiction, you cannot be in error 5. Scripture must be its own expositor, [interpreter] since it is a rule of itself. If I depend on a teacher to expound to me, and he should guess at its meaning, or desire to have it so on account of his sectarian creed, or to be thought wise, then his guessing, desire, creed, or wisdom is my rule, and not the Bible." E.G. White, Second Advent Review and Herald, 11-25-84, pr. 24.

I will relate a classic example as to what I mean by the “proof quote” methodology versus using the full weight of evidence formula, which is the only way we can KNOW we are not in error. The danger of using the “proof quote” format should become most evident from this example from Ty’s book:

Book: “God ordained authority of its leadership. A spirit of independence will threaten to fragment the church into a disorderly array of autonomous movements. Church members will become wildly uncertain as to the church’s standing and authority.

Sound familiar?”

Ron responds: It was the formation of an independent New Movement, New Organization, that is independent of God, because He has been removed, that has fragmented the church into a disorderly array of autonomous movements.

Book: “On another occasion Ellen White explained that an extreme exercise of independence is the cause of anarchy:

   ‘If the world sees a perfect harmony existing in the church of God, it will be a powerful evidence to them in favor of the Christian religion. Dissensions, unhappy differences, and petty church trials dishonor our Redeemer. All these may be avoided if self is surrendered to God and the followers of Jesus obey the voice of the church. Unbelief suggests that individual independence increases our importance, that it was weak to yield our own ideas of what is right and proper to the verdict of the church; but to yield to such feelings and views is unsafe and will bring us into anarchy and confusion. . . . Let individual judgment submit to the authority of the church.’ (Testimonies for the Church, vol. 4. P. 19). 1886.

Ron responds: Over and over again Ty stresses unity at all costs by surrendering independent judgment and obeying the leaders. We will examine if that is what God expects of us in the case of apostasy relative to Christ’s response to apostasy:

·       An extreme exercise of independence on the part of the New Movement formed among, within the church, is what has caused all the anarchy and division. (1SM 204-205).

·       How can those who are faithful to the church be in perfect harmony with a New Movement that has removed God and pillar, landmark doctrines?

·       It goes way beyond dissension, unhappy differences, and petty church trials. God and pillar, landmark doctrines have been removed. That is the cause of the anarchy that dishonors our Redeemer. In such a case, Ellen White said LET THERE BE WAR!

"If unity could be secured only by the compromise of truth and righteousness, then let there be difference, and even war." The Great Controversy, p. 45.

·       If church leaders had surrendered to God and the Spirit of Prophecy’s counsel, they would never have formed a New Movement, New Organization, NEW “church” that removed God, the real voice to, and authority of the church. If that had been done, the independent ministries would have no reason for existence and they would receive no support.

·       The men who formed the New Movement felt that the changes they made, like adopting Rome’s Central Doctrine, the Trinity Doctrine, would increase the importance of the church and win great numbers of members.

·       Since only the presence of Christ can constitute a church (UL 315), the act of removing God, by removing pillar, landmark doctrines on the personality of God and Christ, and Christ’s human nature, led to spiritual warfare between the true church (the faithful to God’s original foundation) and the new imposter movement.

·       Since God was removed, there is only one other master—Satan. Thus, the new movement is the Synagogue of Satan.

·       Thus, the leaders of the New Movement should submit to the authority of the faithful church that did not change; that is maintaining the faith once delivered to the saints.

·       The leaders of the New Movement formed another church—the Synagogue of Satan.

·       Surrendering to the New Movement, as Ty Gibson has done, is not surrender to God. It is surrender to Satan.

·       Individual judgment must now submit to the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy, the only authority of the true, original church militant.

·       My only problem is wondering why Ty Gibson and all other members of the New Movement, NEW “CHURCH,” cannot see this pure truth.

·       “We have a testing message to give, and I am instructed to say to our people, 'Unify, Unify.'  But we are not to unify with those who are departing from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils." 3SM 412

·       "Christ calls for unity.  But He does not call for us to unify on wrong practices.  The God of heaven draws a sharp contrast between pure, elevating, ennobling truth and false, misleading doctrines....  I urge our brethren to unify upon a true, scriptural basis." 1SM 175.

·       Who has authority to begin such a [NEW] movement? We have our Bibles, we have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the Holy Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not repudiate everything that is not in harmony with this truth? E.G. White, Selected Messages, Vol. 1, 204, 205.

Book: “The principles here expressed speak so directly to some professed reformers that I would venture to say they will find it hard to believe Ellen White really said such things. ‘Obey the voice of the church’? ‘Individual independence . . . will bring us into anarchy and confusion’? ‘Let individual judgment submit to the authority of the church’? Did she really write such things? Yes, and if you think the ideas expressed in this quotation are heavy, your head will really spin when you read this:

   ‘The Redeemer of the world does not sanction experience and exercise in religious matters independent of His organized and acknowledged church.’ (Sketches From the Life of Paul, p. 31, published in 1893).

   If I were to simply make this kind of statement as a personal opinion, without any quote marks to indicate its inspired source, many would ardently disagree and accuse me of ‘popery!’ But because those are words Ellen White penned under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, it [is] necessary for us to reckon with them. The plain, unavoidable fact is, God does have a visible, organized church on this earth, and He has invested that church with a certain degree of authority. Intellectual integrity demands that anyone who claims to believe in the Spirit of Prophecy acknowledge this reality. To pursue religious matters independent of God’s organized church is not sanctioned by Christ and opens the way for anarchy. We are not dealing here with a light matter. Ponder the words again: ‘The Redeemer of the world does not sanction experience and exercise in religious matters independent of His organized and acknowledged church.’ Ibid. 1893. Gibson’s book: pp. 58, 59.

Ron responds:

·       I have no problem whatsoever with Ellen White saying any such things, because Jesus’ example said to obey the authority of the church when it is obeying the authority and truth of God’s Word and the Spirit of Prophecy.

·       I would have no problem obeying the voice of the church as portrayed by the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy.

·       I do have a huge problem with obeying the voice of a new movement that has disobeyed God’s Word and the Spirit of Prophecy.

·       The voice of a New Movement that has removed God and pillar doctrines (1SM 204-205), is NOT the voice of God.

·       It is apostate leaders who are totally responsible for any so-called anarchy involved with professing Seventh-day Adventism. All and any confusion rests entirely upon their shoulders.

·       The Redeemer of the world does not sanction experience and exercise in religious matters that are the product of a New Movement that has removed God from the once church, and that has removed pillar, landmark doctrines that mean everything to us and every Christian. Any such New Movement would not even qualify as a “church,” let alone “His organized and acknowledged church.”

·       It was a group of individual men, acting on their own independent authority, who introduced apostasy on the human nature of Christ, and the Sanctuary/Atonement truths in the mid 1950’s.

·       It was a small group of men who involved the church in Satan’s ecumenical movement which is strictly forbidden in Isaiah 8:9-16. This is one of the major reasons the church militant will be broken in pieces in the literal fulfilment of Ezekiel 9. The margin definition of the slaughter weapon in Ezekiel 9:2, is a weapon of His breaking in pieces, mentioned three times in Isaiah 8:9 to connote the seriousness of committing this unpardonable sin.

·       Could anything be more anarchical than to form a New Movement that removed God and pillar, landmark doctrines?

·       It was a group of individual men like LeRoy Froom and Roy Allan Anderson, and Reuben Fighur (SDA Conference President at the time), who promoted Rome’s Trinity doctrine at the 1980 World General Conference Session and bulldozed it’s acceptance. That doctrine denies the Sanctuary/Atonement by Christ, by its teaching that there are three co-ETERNAL persons to the Godhead, where there are only TWO ETERNAL PERSONS, and one NON-ETERNAL, the humanity of Christ, which Ellen White and John 14 demonstrate to be NON-ETERNAL and an independent person, INDEPENDENT OF THE FORMER HOLY SPIRIT DIVINE NATURE ONLY OF THE SON prior to His Incarnation. So a third person accrued at His Incarnation.  To teach otherwise is to do total despite to the fact that it was the Incarnation sacrifice that produced a third person. Any such despite to the Incarnation sweeps away the entire Christian economy, as did the alpha heresy on the Godhead.

·       Ty Gibson and the leaders must think we the laity are pure fools, to try to foist such obvious error upon us.

Notice the dates that the above Ellen White statements quoted by Gibson were penned: 1886; 1893; The importance of her counsel to consider TIME, PLACE AND CIRCUMSTANCE in interpreting all of Ellen White’s writings, is going to be classically demonstrated here. First her statements as to TIME, PLACE AND CIRCUMSTANCE:

“The reader should be aware of at least three basic levels of interpretation and their respective sets of principles. One is the historical level, in which the specific historical context of the document being studied is reconstructed, with special emphasis on the time, place, and circumstances in which it was produced.” E. G. White Letters and Manuscripts, p. 37.2 {1EGWLM 37.2}

"Regarding the Testimonies, nothing is ignored nothing is cast aside but TIME AND PLACE MUST BE CONSIDERED...Every jot and tittle is essential and must appear at the opportune time." E.G. White, Selected Messages, vol. 1, p. 57.

ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE ON THE ELLEN WHITE STATEMENTS TY GIBSON QUOTES ABOVE

I will now approach the Ellen White statement Ty Gibson quotes from another perspective:

·       The Ellen White statements Ty Gibson quotes, were made prior to the alpha apostasy of circa 1901-1905.

·       The following statements were made from  1901-1905.

·       The “regular lines” refer to organization and its leadership.

In the following statements we will find THE REST OF THE STORY, THE REST OF THE WEIGHT OF EVIDENCE regarding what Ellen White said about the authority of the “regular lines,” (THE ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP). The TIME FACTOR is 1901.

Regular lines -  “So often the same old difficulties arise and are presented in regard to disturbing the ‘regular lines.’ But God will work in some way to make His people understand that THE REGULAR LINES HAVE BECOME FULL OF IRREGULAR PRACTICES…God alone can make men understand that working on REGULAR LINES has led to IRREGULAR PRACTICES.  God alone can make men’s minds as they should be. The time has come when we should hear less in favor of the REGULAR LINES.  If we can GET AWAY FROM THE REGULAR LINES into something which, THOUGH IRREGULAR, IS AFTER GOD’S ORDER, it may cut away something of the IRREGULAR WORKING which has led away from Bible principles.”  E.G. White, Manuscript Release, #1450, p. 3, 4, 1901.b

When we see the regular lines are altered and purified and refined, and the God of the heavens mold is upon the regular lines, then it is our business to establish [SUBMIT TO THE AUTHORITY OF] the regular lines.”  E.G. White, Spaulding-Magan Collection, p. 162-168. 1901.

Clearly, we are not supposed to submit to apostate leaders.

The present showing is sufficient to prove to all who have the true missionary spirit that the regular lines [organization] may prove to be a failure.”  E.G. White, Spaulding-Magan Collection, p. 175.  Written to Brother Daniels, June 28, 1901.

The regular lines had need to be broken as a potter’s vessel is broken, and reconstructed.” Ms. 29,  pp. 1, 3 (General Manuscript, The Southern Work, undated).

This (below) is Ellen White’s further counsel when the leaders are in apostasy, like forming a New Movement that has REMOVED GOD and PILLAR, LANDMARK DOCTRINES. This is THE TRUTH THAT TY GIBSON DOES NOT MENTION IN HIS BOOK. This was Ellen White’s response to the Alpha heresies. What would her response be to the OMEGA apostasies which were to be far worse and wax stronger until Jesus comes!

“The voice from Battle Creek, which has been regarded as authority in counseling how the work should be done, is no longer the voice of God.”—Manuscript Releases 17:185 (1896). {LDE 50.2}

“It has been some years since I have considered the General Conference as the voice of God”.—Manuscript Releases 17:216 (1898). {LDE 50.3}

That these men should stand in a sacred place, to be as the voice of God to the people, as we once believed the General Conference to be—that is past.—The General Conference Bulletin, April 3, 1901, p. 25. {LDE 50.4}

As for the voice of the General Conference,there is no voice from God through that body that is reliable.” -Manuscript 57, October  12, 1895 & Manuscript Releases, vol. 17, p 178.

“I have had conversation with W. C. White. He was presenting before me the necessity of our people heeding the voice of the General Conference. Then I said, “WCW, it is time you should understand that, [notwithstanding] the opinion that has prevailed, the General Conference so-called is no longer the voice of God. It has become a strange voice, and they are building strange fire. God does not speak through them. The work that is being done in the General Conference is a strange work." {Ms114-1894.1} July 1894.

“The sacred character of the cause of God is no longer realized at the center of the work. The voice from Battle Creek, which has been regarded as authority in counselling how the work should be done, is no longer the voice of God; but it is the voice of—whom? Whence does it come, and where is its vital power? This state of things is maintained by men who should have been disconnected from the work long ago. These men do not scruple to quote the word of God as their authority, but the God who is leading them is a false god.” {1888 1582.2} July 1, 1896.

"There are fearful woes for those who preach the truth, but are not sanctified by it, and also for those who consent to receive and maintain the unsanctified to minister to them in word and doctrine." Testimonies, vol. 1, p 261-262.

We can safely make the following conclusions from the above statements:

·       During the alpha heresy, the “regular lines” began to become irregular, in fact, it all began in 1888, when the majority of the leaders rejected the righteousness by faith message, which is still turned on its head by most SDA leaders today.

·       God works so as to get His faithful ones to understand when the regular lines are errant.

·       We are sanctioned in getting away from the “regular lines,” when they are not working according to God’s instructions, to that which is after God’s order.

·       When the regular lines are not acting according to Bible and Spirit of Prophecy principles, we are to obey God rather than man.

·       When the leaders of the Jews did that which was not after God’s order, Jesus separated. Paul separated. Every true reformer of every succeeding generation has separated.

·       Ty Gibson said that there is no sanction in the Bible or the Spirit of Prophecy for any separation and that Ellen White never sanctioned such. Let’s see if he is correct.

Ellen White said that the True Reformers were sanctioned in separating from and thus disregarding the authority of leaders who would not tolerate the truth being spoken. Ty Gibson’s book stresses that there is no sanction in the Bible or the Spirit of Prophecy to separate under any circumstances. That is simply not true.

 "The Sanhedrin had rejected Christ's message and was bent upon His death therefore Jesus departed from Jerusalem, from the priests, the temple, the religious leaders, the people who had been instructed in the law, and turned to another class to proclaim His message, and to gather out those who should carry the gospel to all nations. As the light and life of men was rejected by the ecclesiastical authorities in the days of Christ, so it has been rejected in every succeeding generation. Again and again the history of Christ's withdrawal from Judea has been repeated. When the Reformers preached the word of God, they had no thought of separating themselves from the established church but the religious leaders would not tolerate the light, and those that bore it were forced to seek another class, who were longing for the truth. In our day few of the professed followers of the Reformers are actuated by their spirit. Few are listening for the voice of God, and ready to accept truth in whatever guise it may be presented. Often those who follow in the steps of the Reformers are forced to turn away from the churches they love, in order to declare the plain teaching of the word of God. And many times those who are seeking for light are by the same teaching obliged to leave the church of their fathers, that they may render obedience." E.G. White, Desire of Ages, p. 232.

·       What is the only reason stated as to why true reformers IN EVERY SUCCEEDING GENERATION have withdrawn and separated from the church of their fathers? The only reason is that the leaders would not tolerate light.

·       Do New Movement, New Organization SDA leaders tolerate light.

·       Do “professing” SDA leaders sigh and cry for all the abominations that be done in the church?

·       Do the leaders even admit that the church is committing apostate abominations? Not that I know of, and Ty Gibson certainly does not in his book.

·       Ellen White is sanctioning separation when the leaders won’t tolerate light, by suggesting that in our day few of the professed followers of the Reformers are actuated by their spirit.

Do all you can to warn and then separate:  "Some who have received warning and instruction from God have deliberately turned from the messages sent them. They have, as it were, walked blindfolded into Satan's prepared snares. Satan is playing the game of life for their souls. And some who might be in a position to help these ensnared souls have themselves become ensnared as captives to the arch deceiver. . . I am instructed to say that we must do all we can for these deceived ones. Their minds must be freed from the delusions of the enemy, and if we fail in our efforts to save these erring ones, we must 'come out from among them' and be separate. . . For years the backward tendencies of many have greatly hindered the work of God. Now, just now, the Lord's people are to show their loyalty. The time has come when the Lord would have all who will honor Him take their stand firmly on the side of truth and righteousness. No longer are we to be a mixed multitude.” E. G. White, Manuscript 106, 11/20/05.

So why did Ellen White not leave? Because she was able to stifle the Alpha and all abominable apostasy of the church in her day. But she said  “NOTHING WOULD BE ALLOWED TO STAND IN THE WAY OF THE NEW MOVEMENT”

Fear and Shun

 "They that forsake the law praise the wicked.' Proverbs 28:4. When those who are uniting with the world, yet claiming great purity, plead for union with those who have ever been the opposers of the cause of truth, we should fear and shun them as decidedly as did Nehemiah. Such counsel is prompted by the enemy of all good. It is the speech of timeservers, and should be resisted as resolutely today as them. Whatever influence would tend to unsettle the faith of God's people in His guiding power, should be steadfastly withstood." E.G. White, Prophets and Kings, p. 661.

"Those who are uniting with the world [and churches that cannot be distinguished from the world, Early Writings, 273] are receiving the worldly mold and preparing for the mark of the beast." Testimonies, vol. 5, 216."

Ty Gibson’s book does not mention the most serious abominations of the church such as the church’s ecumenical involvement and the Trinity Doctrine, which sweeps away the entire Christian economy. It deals mainly with some faults and defects in the church that do not constitute gross apostasy.

I have proven in other documents that the church holds MEMBERSHIP in the World Council of Churches, various National Councils of Churches, and local Ministerial Associations which are a localized arm of the World Council of Churches. This is unpardonable sin per Isaiah 8:9-12, where the only option is being BROKEN IN PIECES, stated three time for the seriousness of this offense to God.

The Trinity Doctrine, is the most serious aspect of the omega heresy, which sweeps away the entire Christian economy. Ellen White said that the omega apostasy would wax stronger until Jesus comes, so it won’t be repented of, and unrepented of sin like that is unpardonable sin.

Wax stronger "One thing it is certain is soon to be realized, the great apostasy, which is developing and increasing and waxing stronger, and will continue to do so until the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout. We are to hold fast the first principles of our denominated faith, and go forward from strength to increased faith. Ever we are to keep the faith that has been substantiated by the Holy Spirit of God from the earlier events of our experience until the present time. We need now larger breadth, and deeper, more earnest, unwavering faith in the leadings of the Holy Spirit. If we needed the manifest proof of the Holy Spirit's power to confirm truth in the beginning, after the passing of the time, we need to-day all the evidence in the confirmation of the truth, when souls are departing from the faith and giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. There must not be any languishing of soul now." (E.G. White, Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 7, p. 57).

The context of the above statement is the alpha and omega heresy involving the personality of God and Ellen White, which involves pillar, landmark doctrines—the Godhead and the Human nature of Christ.

"The enemy will set everything in operation to uproot the confidence of the believers in the pillars of our faith in the messages of the past, which have placed us upon the elevated platform of eternal truth, and which have established and given character to the work. The Lord God of Israel has led out His people, unfolding to them truth of heavenly origin." "The truth for this time is precious, but those whose hearts have not been broken by falling on the Rock Christ Jesus, will not see and understand what is truth. They will accept that which pleases their ideas, and will begin to manufacture another foundation than that which is laid. They will flatter their own vanity and esteem, thinking that they are capable of removing the pillars of our faith, and replacing them with pillars they have devised. This will continue to be as long as time shall last." Notebook, Leaflets, pp. 61-62.

Ty Gibson maintains that the church militant will never fall; that the bad (tares) are shaken out to leave the remaining church as the church triumphant. Whereas Ellen White said that church would be brought down to hell. SDA leaders say the gates of hell will never prevail against their “church,” but what does the Holy Spirit gift to the church say?

"And thou, Capernaum [Seventh-day Adventists, who have had great light], which art exalted unto heaven [in point of privilege], shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom IN THE DAY OF JUDGMENT, than for thee." E.G. White, Review and Herald Articles, vol. 3, p. 69, col. 3.

"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling will YOU hear? Will YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley, September 26, 1909.)" E. G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260.

·       The first literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 was from A.D. 34-70. Ezekiel 22:17-31 gives a vivid account of the destruction and where it took place—in the midst’s of the Temple and Jerusalem.

·       If all the bad are shaken out of the professing SDA church militant to leave it the church triumphant, why would Ezekiel 9 literally BEGIN at His Church, His Sanctuary. 5T 211?

Ezekiel 9 is fulfilled upon the apostate church for unpardonable sins. If you don’t agree that the Trinity Doctrine and Ecumenical involvement is unpardonable sin, then figure out your own view of what constitutes unpardonable sin, but Ezekiel 9 slaughter occurs because of unpardonable sin.

“The time will soon come when the prophecy of Ezekiel 9 will be fulfilled; that prophecy should be carefully studied, for it will be fulfilled to the very letter.”— Ellen G. White 1888 Materials, p. 1303.

The following quote begins on 5T page 209, quoting Ezekiel 9:

Begin at My Sanctuary -- "Here we see that the church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men [leaders], those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus 'Peace and safety’ is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211.

Ty Gibson’s book stresses over and over again that the bad (tares) leave the church militant (wheat and tare co-ed church) to leave it the purged and purified church triumphant. That is not true. In the last literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, in A.D. 27-70, the bad (dross—tares) were gathered of apostate Jerusalem for destruction. Ezekiel 22:17-31, which is an elaboration on the Ezekiel 9 debacle. Ellen White said that debacle was a PREFIGURE of the terrors of the last great day, BEGINNING AT HIS CHURCH, HIS SANCTUARY, THE HOUSE OF JACOB. GC p. 25, 5T 211.

If the bad leave that church militant, why does Ezekiel 9 begin at HIS CHURCH, HIS SANCTUARY, THE HOUSE OF JACOB?

When the organized church committed unpardonable sin in Christ’s day, He and His disciples separated, and the disciples formed HOME CHURCHES:

"Christ was a protestant...The Reformers date back to Christ and the apostles. They came out and separated themselves from a religion of forms and ceremonies. Luther and his followers did not invent the reformed religion. They simply accepted it as presented by Christ and the apostles." E.G. White, Review and Herald, vol. 2, 48, col. 2.

"And as they persisted in their rejection of the gospel the apostle (Paul) went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God. But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus." Acts, 19:8, 9.

"Fearing that the faith of the believers would be endangered by continued association with these opposers of the truth, Paul separated from them, and gathered the disciples into a distinct body." E.G. White, Acts of the Apostles, p. 286.

 "Worldly policy is taking the place of true piety and wisdom that comes from above, and God will remove His prospering hand from the conference. Shall the ark of the covenant be removed from this people? Shall idols be smuggled in? Shall false principles and false precepts be brought into the sanctuary? Shall antichrist be respected? Shall the true doctrines and principles given us of God, which have made us what we are, be ignored?.... This is directly where the enemy, through blinded, unconsecrated men, is leading us." E. G. White, Manuscript 29, 1890.

"Christ has plainly taught that those who persist in open sin must be separated from the church..." E. G. White,  Christ's Object Lessons, 71.

"The names of those who sin and refuse to repent should not be retained on the church books, lest the saints be held accountable for their evil deeds. Those who pursue a course of transgression should be visited and labored with, and if they then refuse to repent, they should be separated from church fellowship, in accordance with the rules laid down in the Word of God." {11MR 208.3}

"Christ has plainly taught that those who persist in open sin must be separated from the church, but He has not committed to us the work of judging character and motive.  He knows our nature too well to entrust this work to us.  Should we try to uproot from the church those whom we suppose to be spurious Christians, we should be sure to make mistakes.  Often we regard as hopeless subjects the very one whom Christ is drawing to Himself, it would perhaps extinguish their last hope.  Many who think themselves Christians will at last be found wanting.  Many will be in heaven who their neighbors supposed would never enter there.  Man judges from appearance, but God judges the heart.  The tares and the wheat are to grow together until the harvest; and the harvest is the end of probationary time." COL 71.

When open sin is not separated from the church, the members become corporately responsible for it.

"The plain straight testimony must live in the church, or the curse of God will rest upon His people as surely as it did upon ancient Israel because of their sins. God holds His people, as a body [corporately], responsible for the sins existing in individuals among them." Testimonies, Vol. 3, p. 269.

The church has never recognized the principle of corporate responsibility. But it is for this reason that true Christians ever separated from any apostate body--as well as the following reasons:

"It is IMPOSSIBLE for you to unite with those who are corrupt, and still remain pure. (II Corinthians 6:14-15 quoted). God and Christ and the heavenly host would have men know that if he unites with the corrupt he will become corrupt." E. G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 4, p. 137.

"Thorns sprung up.—The thorns made it impossible for the wheat to mature (see Luke 8:14). In the same way secular interests prevent the fruits of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22, 23) from reaching maturity. Religion is relegated to the subordinate position of being only one interest among many. For lack of cultivation it withers and eventually dies. That which the thorny-ground hearers lack is a moral transformation. To them, justification is the sum and substance of religion, and they fail to realize that the Christian life consists essentially in the process known as sanctification--the process by which evil traits and tendencies are replaced by the perfect life-pattern of Jesus Christ." Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary, vol. 5, 405.

The wheat can mature amongst tares [insincere believers whose motives we would have to judge in order to remove them], but the wheat cannot mature amongst thorns, open, apostate sinners, because they choke out and kill the wheat. This is why true reformers have separated from open sin apostate churches in every succeeding generation, Desire of Ages, 232. On that page, note that the only reason for separation of the true reformers given is that the ecclesiastical leaders would not tolerate light--truth.

If wheat and thorns could dwell together until the harvest at the end of the world, then there should never have been a separation from any apostate body including the apostate Jewish church from A.D. 34, from Roman Catholicism in the Reformation, and from apostate Protestantism in 1844.

In the Old Testament, apostasy was dealt with by killing all the apostates who would not repent as Moses did regarding Korah and party. However, below is a statement which depicts how the faithful, as far back as the time of Shiloh, worshipped apart from the corrupt priests. This statement proves that Ellen White sanctions separation from corrupt leaders and those who are committing abominations.

 "The recreant priests added licentiousness to the dark catalogue of their crimes yet they still polluted by their presence the tabernacle of the Lord, and, laden with sin, dared to come into the presence of a holy God. As the men of Israel witnessed the corrupt course of the priests, they thought it safer for their families not to come up to the appointed place of worship. Many went from Shiloh with their peace disturbed, their indignation aroused, until they at last determined to offer their sacrifices themselves, concluding that this would be fully as acceptable to God, as to sanction in any manner the abominations practiced in the Sanctuary." E.G. White, The Signs of the Times, vol. 1, p. 264, col. 3, December 1, 1881.

Additional Ellen White Statements Advising Separation From Apostates

"If God has any new light to communicate, He will let His chosen and beloved understand it, without their going to have their minds enlightened by hearing those who are in darkness and error. {EW 124.2}

“I was shown the necessity of those who believe that we are having the last message of mercy, being separate from those who are daily imbibing new errors. I saw that neither young nor old should attend their meetings; for it is wrong to thus encourage them while they teach error that is a deadly poison to the soul and teach for doctrines the commandments of men. The influence of such gatherings is not good. If God has delivered us from such darkness and error, we should stand fast in the liberty wherewith He has set us free and rejoice in the truth. God is displeased with us when we go to listen to error, without being obliged to go; for unless He sends us to those meetings where error is forced home to the people by the power of the will, He will not keep us. The angels cease their watchful care over us, and we are left to the buffetings of the enemy, to be darkened and weakened by him and the power of his evil angels; and the light around us becomes contaminated with the darkness. {EW 124.3}

I saw that we have no time to throw away in listening to fables. Our minds should not be thus diverted, but should be occupied with the present truth,..." EW p. 125.

Leave them  "Even though you may not be able to speak a word to those who are working on wrong principles, leave them. Your withdrawal and silence may do more than words. Nehemiah refused to associate with those who were untrue to principle, and he would not permit his workmen to associate with them. The love and fear of God were his safeguard-Dare to be a Daniel, Dare to stand alone. Thus as did Moses, you will endure the seeing of Him who is invisible. But a cowardly and silent reserve before evil associates, while you listen to their devices makes you one with them Come out from among them and be separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." Review & Herald Vol. 4, p. 42.

1Cr 16:19 The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.

Ellen White on Home Churches

When the young men and women were kept away from the Alpha of apostasy in the church, what did they do and where did they meet for worship?

Ellen White on Home Churches in the Alpha of Apostasy:

"There is a little hope in one direction: Take the young men and women, and place them where they will come as little in contact with our churches as possible, that the low grade of piety which is current in this day shall not leaven their ideas of what it means to be a Christian." E.G. White, Manuscript Release #995, p. 5.

"God has a church. It is not the great cathedral, (or the super mega church), neither is it the national establishment, neither is it the various denominations; it is the people who love God and keep His commandments. 'Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them.' Where Christ is even among the humble few, THIS IS CHRIST'S CHURCH, for the presence of the High and Holy One who inhabiteth eternity can alone constitute a church." Upward Look, p. 315.

"The church is in the Laodicean condition. The presence of God is not in her midst." Notebook Leaflets, p. 99.

"The state of the Church represented by the foolish virgins, is also spoken of as the Laodicean state." E.G. White, Review and Herald, 8/19/1890.

"The church is in the Laodicean state. The presence of God is not in her midst.--NL 99 (1898). Latter Day Events, p. 49.

"To the end of time, the presence of the Spirit is to abide with the true church." E.G. White, Acts of the Apostles, p. 55.

“I was shown that those who are trying to obey God and purifying their souls through obedience to the truth are God’s chosen people, His modern Israel”. 2T-109.

“There is no other church than the assembly of those who have the word of God, and who are purified by it. Adventists, seeing that the churches rejected the testimony of God’s word, could no longer regard them as constituting the church of Christ.” 4 SP-237.

“God has a church. It is not the great cathedral, neither is it the national establishment, neither is it the various denominations; it is the people who love God and keep His commandments. ‘Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them’. Matthew 18:20. Where Christ is even among the humble few, this is Christ’s church, for the presence of the High and Holy One who inhabiteth eternity can alone constitute a church.” The Upward Look, 315.

In the above statement, who and what is the Church? The Church is, “those who are trying to obey God and purifying their souls through obedience to the truth”, “those who have the word of God, and who are purified by it”, “the people who love God and keep His commandments.”

"The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A NEW ORGANIZATION would be established. Books of a NEW ORDER would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the NEW MOVEMENT. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but GOD BEING REMOVED, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure.

Who has authority to begin such a [NEW] movement? We have our Bibles, we have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the Holy Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not repudiate everything that is not in harmony with this truth? E.G. White, Selected Messages, Vol. 1, 204, 205.

 All of the above statement has been fulfilled except the final and literal Ezekiel 9 sweeping away of the structure because of all of its abominations for which we are to sigh and cry, and our very sealing is dependent on whether or not we will sigh and cry for ALL THE ABOMINATIONS.

"Who are standing in the counsel of God at this time? Is it those who virtually excuse wrongs among the professed people of God, and murmur in their hearts, if not openly, against those who would reprove sin? Is it those who take their stand against them, and sympathize with those who commit wrong? No, indeed! These, unless they repent, and leave the work of Satan in oppressing those who have the burden of the work, and holding up the hands of sinners in Zion, will never receive the mark of God's sealing approval. They will fall in the general destruction of all the wicked, represented by the five men bearing slaughter weapons. Mark this point with care: Those who receive the pure mark of truth, wrought in them by the power of the Holy Ghost, represented by a mark by the man in linen, are those "that sigh and cry for all the abominations that are done" in the church. Their love for purity and the honor and glory of God is such, and they have so clear a view of the exceeding sinfulness of sin, that they are represented as being in an agony, even sighing and crying. Read Ezekiel, chapter nine." {RH, September 23, 1873 par. 5}

Pray Not for a Church That has Committed Unpardonable Sin

Adoption of the Trinity doctrine which sweeps away the entire Christian economy is of itself unpardonable sin, not to mention ecumenical involvement which is strictly forbidden in Isaiah 8:9-12. Both are unpardonable sin. Does the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy prophesy that the SDA church would commit unpardonable sin at the end-time?

The SDA COUNTERPART FACTOR to the Jews

COUNTERPART: "The Lord commanded one of his ancient servants, 'Pray not thou for this people [Jer. 7:16 and 11:14], neither lift up cry nor prayer for them neither make intercession to me for I will not hear thee.' The prophet thus describes the sins which had called forth this fearful denunciation: 'The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means and my people love to have it so and what will ye do in the end thereof?' 'From the least of them even unto the greatest of them, every one is given to covetousness and from the prophet even unto the priest, every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.' The apostles declare that this state of things will find its COUNTERPART in the last days. Many have a form of godliness, but in their daily life deny the power thereof. They have ceased to be convicted of their sins or alarmed at their state. They say in their hearts, 'The church is flourishing. Peace and spiritual prosperity are within her borders.' The words of the prophet may well apply to these self-deceivers, 'They have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them." E. G. White, Second Advent Review and Sabbath Herald, 11-07-82.

·       The apostles declare that this state of things will find its COUNTERPART in the last days.

·       The only LAST DAYS COUNTERPART to the Jews who were God’s “chosen, remnant” people, is professing Seventh-say Adventists.

·       God says that they delight in their abominations! That’s why they deny there are any abominations! That is why they don’t sigh and cry for all the abominations or ANY of the abominations.

·       Ty Gibson’s book does not tell you the other side of the weight of evidence. Therefore, his book is a monument to false, Laodicean peace and safety.

In Jeremiah 11:9-15, reasons why God instructed Jeremiah not to pray for apostate Israel include:

·       Israel formed a conspiracy with God’s enemies. This is the same thing as forming a confederacy (Isa. 8:9-12).

·       Jer 11:15   What hath my beloved [BRIDE] to do in mine house [CHURCH], seeing she hath wrought lewdness [ECUMENICAL HARLOTRY] with many, and the holy flesh [CHRIST’S HOLY SPIRIT PRESENCE] is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoices [CELEBRATE].

"Shall the Lord be compelled to say, `Pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to Me: for I will not hear thee' [Jeremiah 7:16]? `Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain....Wilt thou not from this time cry unto Me, My Father, thou art the guide of my youth' [Jeremiah 3:3-4]?...
We are to be judged by the light that has been given us,(159) and we can find no excuse by which to extenuate our course."
Review and Herald, Vol. 3, p 69-70 (August 1, 1893). (Brackets by Ellen White)

COUNTERPART: "In the time of the Saviour, the Jews had so covered over the precious jewels of truth with the rubbish of tradition and fable, that it was impossible to distinguish the true from the false. The Saviour came to clear away the rubbish of superstition and long-cherished errors, and to set the jewels of God's word in the framework of truth. What would the Saviour do if he should come to us now as he did to the Jews? He would have to do a similar work in clearing away the rubbish of tradition and ceremony. The Jews were greatly disturbed when he did this work [As are SDAs today!]. They had lost sight of the original truth of God, but Christ brought it again to view. It is our work to free the precious truths of God from superstition and error." E.G. White,
Review and Herald, Vol. 2, 308.

“The Lord commanded one of his ancient servants, ‘Pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them; neither make intercession to me; for I will not hear thee.’ The prophet thus describes the sins which had called forth this fearful denunciation: "The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so; and what will ye do in the end thereof?" ‘From the least of them even unto the greatest of them, every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest, every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.’" {RH, November 7, 1882 par. 8}

The apostles declare that this state of things will find its counterpart in the last days. Many have a form of godliness, but in their daily life deny the power thereof. They have ceased to be convicted of their sins or alarmed at their state. They say in their hearts, "The church is flourishing. Peace and spiritual prosperity are within her borders." The words of the prophet may well apply to these self-deceivers, "They have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them." {RH, November 7, 1882 par. 9}

Who else but SDA’s could qualify as the COUNTERPART of the Jews when they both are “chosen people” who claim to keep the commandments of God and constitute a remnant?!

Ty’s book says that there is absolutely no instruction in the Bible for another coming out from Laodicea, the final church. That is not true. Ellen White said that all the ancient prophets wrote more for us than the Jews. She said the first literal Ezekiel 9 destruction of Jerusalem was a PREFIGURE (TYPE), Great Controversy, p. 25, that prefigures the terrors of the last great day, BEGINNING AT HIS CHURCH, HIS SANCTUARY, 5T 211. A faithful remnant went forth out of Jerusalem. So it must be in the antitype:

Isa 37:31   And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward:

Isa 37:32   For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.

The Real Remnant as Defined by Ellen G. White is the Last Generation of Men Translated Without Seeing Death

 "The woman is a symbol of the church, and the remnant of the church represents the Christians of the last generation of men, living just prior to the second advent. The dragon makes war on these for keeping the commandments of God, Sabbath and all, and having the testimony of Jesus Christ, which, according to the inspired definition of chap. xix, 10, 'is the spirit of prophecy.' Here, then, are the causes of the dragon's warfare upon the remnant. They teach the observance of the ten commandments, and the revival of the gifts, and acknowledge the gift of prophecy among them. When the Devil got one foot upon the fourth commandment, and the other upon the gifts planted in the Christian church by Jesus Christ, then his satanic majesty was filled with revengeful delight. But when the remnant, whom God designs to fit for translation to Heaven without seeing death, 'ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein,' then the dragon is wroth, and makes war on them.

The true spirit of the dragonic host, which is already being somewhat developed, is vividly described in Isa. xxx, 8-13, as being manifested just prior to the sudden destruction of those who hate the pure testimony, and love smooth and deceitful things." E. G. White, Spiritual Gifts, Vol. III, 26, 27.

Ty Gibson says in his book that the church will come together at the outpouring of the latter rain. That occurs just before the Sunday Law. And what are the members of the church doing at that serious time when the danger to the church is greatest from the impending Sunday law?

What Will the New Movement “Church” be Doing When the Danger to the Church is Greatest (Time of the Sunday Law)

 “The leaven of godliness has not entirely lost its power. At the time when the danger and depression of the church are greatest, the little company who are standing in the light will be sighing and crying for the abominations that are done in the land. But more especially will their prayers arise in behalf of the church because its MEMBERS are doing after the manner of the world.” {5T 209.3}

What Will the New Movement “Church” be Doing Just Before the Close of Probation?

"The things you have described as taking place in Indiana, the Lord has shown me would take place just before the close of probation. Every uncouth thing will be demonstrated. There will be shouting, with drums, music, and dancing. The senses of rational beings will become so confused that they cannot be trusted to make right decisions. And this is called the moving of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit never reveals itself in such methods, in such a bedlam of noise. This is an invention of Satan to cover up his ingenious methods for making of none effect the pure, sincere, elevating, ennobling, sanctifying truth for this time. Better never have the worship of God blended with music than to use musical instruments to do the work which last January was represented to me would be brought into our camp meetings. The truth for this time needs nothing of this kind in its work of converting souls. A bedlam of noise shocks the senses and pervert that which if conducted aright might be a blessing. The powers of satanic agencies blend with the din and noise, to have a carnival, and this is termed the Holy Spirits working." Selected Messages, Vol. 2, p. 36.

"I saw the nominal church and nominal Adventists, like Judas, would betray us to the Catholics to obtain their influence to come against the truth. The saints then will be an obscure [hidden] people, little known to the Catholics but the churches and nominal Adventists who know of our faith and customs (for they hate us on account of the Sabbath, for they could not refute it) will betray the saints and report them to the Catholics as those who disregard the institutions of the people that is, that they keep the Sabbath and disregard Sunday.

Then the Catholics bid the Protestants to go forward, and issue a decree that all who will not observe the first day of the week, instead of the seventh day, shall be slain. And the Catholics, whose numbers are large, will stand by the Protestants. The Catholics will give their power to the image of the beast. And the Protestants will work as their mother worked before them to destroy the saints. But before their decree bring or bear fruit, the saints will be delivered by the Voice of God. Then I saw that Jesus' work in the sanctuary will soon be finished. And after His work there is finished, He will come to the door of the first apartment, and confess the sins of Israel upon the head of the Scape Goat. Then He will put on the garments of vengeance. Then the plagues will come upon the wicked, and they do not come till Jesus puts on that garment, and takes Hs place upon the great white cloud. Then while the plagues are falling, the Scape Goat is being led away. He makes a mighty struggle to escape, but he is held fast by the hand that leads him. If he should effect his escape, Israel would lose their lives. I saw that it would take time to lead away the Scape Goat into the land of forgetfulness after the sins were put on his head.

The great white cloud I saw was not the holy place, but entirely separate from the holy and most holy place, entirely separate from the sanctuary.

Then the angel repeated these words, and said, 'This is the time spoken of in Isaiah. He saw that there was not man, and wondered that there was no intercessor. He had no mediator between God and man, and these plagues could be withheld no longer, for Jesus had ceased to plead for Israel, and they were covered with the covering of the Almighty God, and they could live in the sight of a holy God, and those who were not covered, the plagues fell upon them, for they had nothing to shelter or protect them from the wrath of God." E.G. White, Dorchester, Maine, October 23, 1850, Spalding--Magan's Unpublished Mss. Testimonies, pp. 1, 2.

Ty says the bad will be shaken out of the church militant, so that it will not fall. Not so! The church militant is destroyed in a literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9. The church that appears as about to fall but does not, is obviously, and logically the faithful. Ellen White likens them to Jacob when he was surrounded by Essau’s men coming for him. She says the ZION church appears as about to fall in the time of Jacob’s trouble.

Zion is the Bride—Faithful Men—The Third Angel who Selects the Wheat From the Tares

Ty quotes only the following ONE “PROOF QUOTE” about the church that does not fall, WHILE THE SECOND ONE BELOW TELLS THE REAL STORY.

"The church may appear as about to fall, but it does not fall. It remains, while the sinners IN ZION will be sifted out--the chaff separated from the precious wheat [AFTER THE CLOSE OF PROBATIONARY TIME--CHRIST'S OBJECT LESSONS 72]. This is a terrible ordeal, but nevertheless it must take place. None but those who have been overcoming by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony will be found with the loyal and true, without spot or stain of sin, without guile in their mouths...

The REMNANT that purify their souls by obeying the truth gather strength from the trying process, exhibiting the beauty of holiness amid the surrounding apostasy. All these, He says, 'I have graven . . . upon the palms of my hands' (Isa. 49:16)...

That which God required of Adam before his fall was perfect obedience to His law. God requires now what He required of Adam, perfect obedience, righteousness without a flaw, without shortcoming in His sight....We cannot do this without that faith that brings Christ's righteousness into daily practice." E.G. White, Selected Messages, Vol. 2, 380.

The Real Church That Appears as About to Fall

"The people of God will then be plunged into those scenes of affliction and distress described by the prophet as the time of Jacob's trouble. "Thus saith the Lord: We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. . . . All faces are turned into paleness. Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it." Jeremiah 30:5-7.

Jacob's night of anguish, when he wrestled in prayer for deliverance from the hand of Esau (Genesis 32:24-30), represents the experience of God's people in the time of trouble. Because of the deception practiced to secure his father's blessing, intended for Esau, Jacob had fled for his life, alarmed by his brother's deadly threats. After remaining for many years an exile, he had set out, at God's command, to return with his wives and children, his flocks and herds, to his native country. On reaching the borders of the land, he was filled with terror by the tidings of Esau's approach at the head of a band of warriors, doubtless bent upon revenge. Jacob's company, unarmed and defenseless, seemed about to fall helpless victims of violence and slaughter. And to the burden of anxiety and fear was added the crushing weight of self-reproach, for it was his own sin that had brought this danger. His only hope was in the mercy of God; his only defense must be prayer. Yet he leaves nothing undone on his own part to atone for the wrong to his brother and to avert the threatened danger. So should the followers of Christ, as they approach the time of trouble, make every exertion to place themselves in a proper light before the people, to disarm prejudice, and to avert the danger which threatens liberty of conscience.

"The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil:

He shall preserve thy soul." "He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the Most High, thy habitation; there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling." Psalms 121:5-7; 91:3-10.

Yet to human sight it will appear that the people of God must soon seal their testimony with their blood as did the martyrs before them. They themselves begin to fear that the Lord has left them to fall by the hand of their enemies. It is a time of fearful agony. Day and night they cry unto God for deliverance. The wicked exult, and the jeering cry is heard: "Where now is your faith? Why does not God deliver you out of our hands if you are indeed His people?" But the waiting ones remember Jesus dying upon Calvary's cross and the chief priests and rulers shouting in mockery: "He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He be the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him." Matthew 27:42. Like Jacob, all are wrestling with God." The Great Controversy, pp. 629, 630.

PROLEPSIS PROPHETIC STATEMENT:

Here is the Spirit of Prophecy prophesied prolepsis statement regarding the final fate of that once Noble Ship. This is a major LYNCHPIN to my warning message. Can you explain it away? Are you a passenger on this once NOBLE SHIP, that is about to sink? NOTICE WHO SEPARATES FROM WHOM:

"Jesus sends HIS PEOPLE a message of warning to prepare them for his coming. To the prophet John was made known the closing work in the great plan of man's redemption. He beheld an angel flying 'in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him for the hour of his Judgment is come and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters’ [Rev. 14:6, 7.].

The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message,  symbolizes a class of faithful men, who, obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth. This message was not to be committed to the religious leaders of the people. They had failed to preserve their connection with God, and had REFUSED THE LIGHT FROM HEAVEN therefore they WERE NOT of the number described by the apostle Paul: 'But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day we are not of the night nor of darkness' [1 Thess. 5:4, 5].

The watchmen upon the walls of Zion should be the first to catch the tidings of the Saviour's advent, the first to lift their voices to proclaim him near, the first to warn the people to prepare for his coming. But they were at ease, dreaming of peace and safety, while the people were asleep in their sins. Jesus saw HIS CHURCH, like the barren fig-tree, covered with pretentious leaves, yet destitute of precious fruit. There was a boastful observance of the forms of religion, while the spirit of true humility, penitence and faith--which alone could render the service acceptable to God--was lacking. Instead of the graces of the Spirit, there were manifested pride, formalism, vainglory, selfishness, oppression. A BACKSLIDING CHURCH closed their eyes to the signs of the times. God did nor forsake them, or suffer his faithfulness to fail but they departed from him, and SEPARATED THEMSELVES from his love. As they REFUSED TO COMPLY WITH THE CONDITIONS, his promises were NOT FULFILLED to them."  E.G. White, The Spirit of Prophecy, Vol. 4, pp. 199-200 [The 1884 edition of The Great Controversy, 199, 200].

Note these important delineations in the above statement:

·       Ellen White is addressing HIS PEOPLE.

·       Ellen White is addressing those to whom God committed the EVERLASTING GOSPEL of Revelation 14.

·       Ellen White is defining the angel represented in prophecy as symbolizing a class of faithful men.

·       Ellen White is saying emphatically that the final Loud Cry message is delivered NOT BY THE LEADERS OF THE SDA CHURCH, but by a class of faithful men, because the leaders had failed to preserve their connection with God and had refused light from heaven!

·       Ellen White is addressing "watchmen upon the walls of Zion," NOT FALLEN BABYLON!

·       Twice Ellen White mentions HIS CHURCH, NOT FALLEN BABYLON.

·       It is the MEMBERS of said church that SEPARATE FROM GOD, AND THAT IS WHY WE HAVE TO SEPARATE FROM THEM OR BE CORPORATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR APOSTASY.

·       The above reasons are why there is another coming out of a faithful remnant FROM APOSTATE JERUSALEM AS WELL AS FALLEN BABYLON.

·       Isa 37:31   And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward:

·       Isa 37:32   For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.

Ellen White is addressing a BACKSLIDING CHURCH whose leaders and laity alike failed and rejected light from heaven and who refused to comply with the conditions so that God's promises are not fulfilled to them. Consider the following commentary on the 1884 Great Controversy that the above statement is quoted from:

“Consider for a few moments the chapter in the first edition of Great Controversy, Volume IV, published by Pacific Press in 1884. In Chapter XXVII, ‘The Snares of Satan,’ you find that about four pages in the latter part of the chapter were omitted from the later editions of Great Controversy. These four pages are to be found in Testimonies to Ministers, pages 472 to 475. The information contained in these four pages is very valuable to Seventh-day Adventists and was very appropriately included in the first edition of Great Controversy, Volume IV, which when it was published was like the other volumes considered to be A MESSAGE ESPECIALLY TO SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISTS, and to [all] Christian people sympathizing with them in beliefs and aims.” W. C. White, Selected Messages, Appendix C, pp. 452, 453.

Ty does not once mention the New Movement, New Organization that Ellen White places in direct context with the Alpha and Omega heresies.

Ellen White said that the leaders betrayed their trust. What is God’s plan when a people who were given “great light” betrayed that light? The following statement gives the principle upon which God acts when His people betray sacred trusts by proving unfaithful to the work of the Lord:

“The Lord Jesus will always have a chosen people to serve Him. When the Jewish people rejected Christ, the Prince of life. He took from them the kingdom of God and gave it unto the Gentiles. God will continue to work on this principle with every branch of His work. When a church proves unfaithful to the work of the Lord, whatever their position may be, however high and sacred their calling, the Lord can no longer work with them. Others are then chosen to bear important responsibilities. But, if these in turn do not purify their lives from every wrong action, if they do not establish pure and holy principles in all their borders, then the Lord will grievously afflict and humble them and, unless they repent, will remove them from their place and make them a reproach.

God is not 'worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing' (Acts 17:25).” E. G. White, The Upward Look, 131.

Gibson’s book says that any other movement would constitute a new church, an eighth church. He is the member of a new movement, new organization, formed among or within, and he is blissfully oblivious to that fact. The omega heresy was to be far worse than the alpha, and the new movement, new organization statement is a fulfillment of exactly what has transpired in the church since the 1950’s.

The New Movement, New Organization

Ellen White met the iceberg of the alpha, but the omega was to be similar only far worse in scope. A new movement, new organization began to form in the SDA church in the 1950’s. Nothing has been allowed to stand in its way.

“Few can discern the result of entertaining the sophistries advocated by some at this time. But the Lord has lifted the curtain, and has shown me the result that would follow. The spiritualistic theories regarding the personality of God, followed to their logical conclusion, sweep away the whole Christian economy. They estimate as nothing the light that Christ came from heaven to give John to give to His people. They teach that the scenes just before us are not of sufficient importance to be given special attention. They make of no effect the truth of heavenly origin, and rob the people of God of their past experience, giving them instead a false science. {1SM 203.4}

In a vision of the night I was shown distinctly that these sentiments have been looked upon by some as the grand truths that are to be brought in and made prominent at the present time. I was shown a platform, braced by solid timbers—the truths of the Word of God. Someone high in responsibility in the medical work was directing this man and that man to loosen the timbers supporting this platform. Then I heard a voice saying, “Where are the watchmen that ought to be standing on the walls of Zion? Are they asleep? This foundation was built by the Master Worker, and will stand storm and tempest. Will they permit this man to present doctrines that deny the past experience of the people of God? The time has come to take decided action.” {1SM 204.1}

The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A new organization would be established. Books of a new order would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure. {1SM 204.2}

Who has authority to begin such a movement? We have our Bibles. We have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the Holy Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not repudiate everything that is not in harmony with this truth? {1SM 205.1}

I hesitated and delayed about the sending out of that which the Spirit of the Lord impelled me to write. I did not want to be compelled to present the misleading influence of these sophistries. But in the providence of God, the errors that have been coming in must be met.” {1SM 205.2}

It’s more than just interesting, that Ty Gibson’s book does not make one reference to the New Movement statement when Ellen White said that the omega apostasy would wax stronger until Jesus comes. It is important that one SDA General Conference President did see the importance to that statement, Robert H. Pierson.

Here is his final appeal to the church. All emphases are mine.

Robert H Pierson President of the General Conference 1966-1979

Final Appeal to God's People

“The following message was presented in 1978 by Elder Robert H. Pierson to hundreds of people-Including the entire church leadership attending the Annual Council, the General Conference staff, and the employees of the Review. He saw that our denomination was rapidly moving toward liberal and new theology errors, and, in this retirement speech, he pled with the church's leaders not to let It happen. That was nearly two decades ago. The terrible fruits that he predicted, we now live with.” – Vance Ferrell of Pilgrims Rest

By ROBERT H. PIERSON

This will be the last time that in my present role I shall stand before the world leaders of my church, your church, our church, and I have a few words to leave with you.

I take my thoughts from something that Elder and Mrs. Ralph Neall have written describing how typically a sect evolves into a church. They say a sect is often begun by a charismatic leader with tremendous drive and commitment and that it arises as a protest against worldliness and formalism in a church. It is generally embraced by the poor. The rich would lose too much by joining it, since it is unpopular, despised, and persecuted by society in general. It has definite beliefs firmly held by zealous members. Each member makes a personal decision to join it and knows what he believes. There is little organization or property, and there are few buildings.

The group has strict standards and controls on behavior. Preachers, often without education, arise by inner compulsion. There is little concern about public relations.

And then it passes on to the second generation. With growth there comes a need for organization and buildings. As a result of industry and frugality, members become prosperous. As prosperity increases, persecution begins to wane. Children born into the movement do not have to make personal decisions to join it. They do not necessarily know what they believe. They do not need to hammer out their own positions. These have been worked out for them. Preachers arise more by selection and by apprenticeship to older workers than by direct inner compulsion.

In the third generation, organization develops and institutions are established. The need is seen for schools to pass on the faith of the fathers. Colleges are established.

Members have to be exhorted to live up to the standards, while at the same time the standards of membership are being lowered. The group becomes lax about disfellowshiping nonpracticing members. Missionary zeal cools off. There is more concern over public relations. Leaders study methods of propagating their faith, sometimes employing extrinsic rewards as motivation for service by the members. Youth question why they are different from others, and intermarry with those not of their faith.

In the fourth generation there is much machinery; the number of administrators increases while the number of workers at the grass-roots level becomes proportionately less. Great church councils are held to define doctrine. More schools, universities, and seminaries are established. These go to the world for accreditation and tend to become secularized. There is a reexamination of positions and modernizing of methods. Attention is given to contemporary culture, with an interest in the arts: music, architecture, literature. The movement seeks to become 'relevant" to contemporary society by becoming involved with popular causes. Services become formal. The group enjoys complete acceptance by the world. The sect has become a church!

Brethren and sisters, this must never happen to the Seventh-day Adventist Church! This will not happen to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. This is not just an other church-it is God's church!

Note by Ron: Sad to say, what Elder Pierson describes had already happened to the church decades earlier, for Ellen White said the church was Laodicean in 1852. So Elder Pierson was decades behind the times and could not see that all he stated already existed in the church.

Church as Laodicean in 1852: "Many who profess to be looking for the speedy coming of Christ, are becoming conformed to this world, and seek more earnestly the applause of those around them, than the approbation of God. They are cold and formal, like the nominal church, that they but a short time since separated from. The words addressed to the Laodicean Church, describe their present condition perfectly....And unless they heed the counsel of the 'faithful and True Witness,' and zealously repent, and obtain 'gold tried in the fire,' 'white raiment,' and 'eye-salve,' he will spue them out of his mouth." E.G. White, Review and Herald, June 10, 1852, Vol. 1, p. 18, col. 2.

"The warning for the last church [Laodicea] also must be proclaimed to all who claim to be Christians. The Laodicean message, like a sharp, two--edged sword, must go to ALL THE CHURCHES:...It is our work to proclaim this message. Are we putting forth every effort that the churches may be warned?" Testimonies, vol. 6, p. 77.

End Ron’s note.

But you are the men and women sitting in this sanctuary this morning on whom God is counting to assure that it does not happen.

Already, brethren and sisters, there are subtle forces that are beginning to stir. Regrettably there are those in the church who belittle the inspiration of the total Bible, who scorn the first 11 chapters of Genesis, who question the Spirit of Prophecy's short chronology of the age of the earth, and who subtly and not so subtly attack the Spirit of Prophecy. There are some who point to the reformers and contemporary theologians as a source and the norm for Seventh-day Adventist doctrine. There are those who allegedly are tired of the hackneyed phrases of Adventism. There are those who wish to forget the standards of the church we love. There are those who covet and would court the favor of the evangelicals; those who would throw off the mantle of a peculiar people; and those who would go the way of the secular, materialistic world.

Fellow leaders, beloved brethren and sisters-don't let it happen! I appeal to you as earnestly as I know how this morning-don't let it happen! I appeal to Andrews University, to the Seminary, to Loma Linda University - don't let it happen! We are not Seventh-day Anglicans, not Seventh-day Lutherans-we are Seventh-day Adventists! This is God's last church with God's last message!

You are the men and women, the leaders, whom God is counting on to keep the Seventh-day Adventist Church God's remnant church, the church God has destined to triumph!

The servant of the Lord says, "Fearful perils are before those who bear responsibilities in the Lord's work-perils the thought of which makes me tremble."-Selected Messages, book 2, p. 391. And in Ezekiel 22:30 we read, '1 looked for a man among them who could build up a barricade, who could stand before me in the breach to defend the land from ruin" (N.E.B.).

Note by Ron: The KING JAMES VERSION READS: Eze 22:30   And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

I WILL LEAVE IT TO GOD AS TO WHY Elder Pierson chose the N.E.B.

You need to understand that Ezekiel 22 is part of what happened in the first literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9. End note by Ron.

I believe this morning, fellow leaders, that God is looking for men and women, intrepid leaders, men and women who love God's church and God's truth more than they love their lives, to see that this church under God goes through to the kingdom. The task ahead of us is not going to be easy. If I understand the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy aright this morning, ahead lies a time of trouble, a time of challenge such as this church and this world have never before known.

The servant of the Lord tells us, 'The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. The Sabbath, of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless."-Ibid., book 1, pp. 204, 205.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church had its alpha years ago. You and I are the leaders who will face the omega that will be of the same subtle, devilish origin. Its effect will be more devastating than the alpha. Brethren, I beg of you, study, know what is ahead, then with God's help prepare your people to meet it!

Ty Gibson’s book does not make one reference to the Omega apostasy! End Note by Ron

"God calls for men who are prepared to meet emergencies, men who in a crisis will not be found standing on the wrong side."-Ellen G. White, in Review and Herald, Nov. 5, 1903.

"We are pressing on to the final conflict, and this is no time to compromise. It is no time to hide your colors. When the battle wages sore, Let no one turn traitor. It is no time to lay down or conceal our weapons, and give Satan the advantage in the warfare. "-Ibid., Dec. 6, 1892.

And then I call attention to a vision the Lord's servant had, in which she saw a ship heading toward an iceberg. She said, "There, towering high above the ship, was a gigantic iceberg. An authoritative voice cried out, 'Meet it!' There was not a moment's hesitation. It was a time for instant action. The engineer put on full steam, and the man at the wheel steered the ship straight into the iceberg. With a crash she struck the ice. There was a fearful shock, and the iceberg broke into many pieces, falling with a noise like thunder to the deck. The passengers were violently shaken by the force of the collision, but no lives were lost. The vessel was injured, but not beyond repair. She rebounded from the contact, trembling from stem to stern, like a living creature. Then she moved forward on her way.

"Well I knew the meaning of this representation. I had my orders. I had heard the words, like a voice from our Captain, 'Meet it!' I knew what my duty was, and that there was not a moment to lose. The time for decided action had come. I must without delay obey the command, 'Meet it!' "-Selected Messages, book 1, pp. 205, 206.

The above ship was the SS Alpha

Note by Ron: Ellen White MET the alpha heresy. No lives were lost on that ship BECAUSE SHE STOPPED THE HERESY! But here is THE REST OF THE STORY ABOUT A NOBLE SHIP THAT SINKS TO RISE NO MORE. THIS SHIP IS THE ONE ASSOCIATED WITH THE OMEGA:

Noble Ship #1: "I lately read of a NOBLE SHIP that was plowing its way across the sea, when at midnight, with a terrific crash, it struck upon a rock; the passengers were awakened only to see with horror their hopeless condition, and with the ship they sank to rise no more.

The above ship is the SS Omega (The New Movement, New Organization that has removed God, the Captain)

Noble Ship #2: "There is no need to doubt, to be fearful that the work will not succeed. God is at the head of the work, and He will set everything in order. If matters need adjusting at the head of the work, God will attend to that, and work to right every wrong. Let us have faith that God is going to carry the noble ship which bears the people of God safely into port." E.G. White, Selected Messages, vol. 2, 390.

The above ship is the SS True Reformers, the faithful. "We cannot now step off the foundation that God has established. We cannot now enter into any new organization for this would mean apostasy from the truth.--Manuscript 1290, 1905. Selected Messages, vol. 2, 390.

In light of all the statements involving a ship, we must interpret them all so that none contradict. The best way to achieve this goal is to look for qualifying words. In the above statement the qualifying words are NOBLE SHIP and THE PEOPLE OF GOD. Who are the people of God? Those who keep His commandments and heed the Laodicean message.

"The enemy is preparing for his last campaign against the church. He has so concealed himself from view that many can hardly believe that he exists, much less can they be convinced of his amazing activity and power. They have to a great extent forgotten his past record; and when he makes another advance move, they will not recognize him as their enemy, that old serpent, but they will consider him a friend, one who is doing a good work. Boasting of their independence they will, under his specious, bewitching influence, obey the worst impulses of the human heart and yet believe that God is leading them. Could their eyes be opened to distinguish their captain, they would see that they are not serving God, but the enemy of all righteousness. They would see that their boasted independence is one of the heaviest fetters Satan can rivet on unbalanced minds." {5T 294.1}

The New Movement has removed God, the Captain, so it is they who are operating INDEPENDENT OF GOD, and serving the enemy of all righteousness. End note by Ron.

"The time is coming when we shall be separated and scattered, and each one of us will have to stand without the privilege of communion with those of like precious faith; and how can you stand unless God is by your side, and you know that He is leading and guiding you? Whenever we come to investigate Bible truth, the Master of assemblies is with us. The Lord does not leave the ship one moment to be steered by ignorant pilots. We may receive our orders from the Captain of our salvation."—Review and Herald, March 25, 1890. {CW 42.1}

WHAT ABOUT DUMB-DOG WATCHMEN WHO ARE ALL IGNORANT?

Isa 56:10   His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

Isa 56:11   Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

Isa 56:12   Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.

Were I Ty Gibson, or any other dumb-dog watchman, I would be shaking, yea TREMBLING IN MY BOOTS, instead of writing peace and safety books for the Synagogue of Satan. End note by Ron.

Fellow leaders, it may be that in the not too distant future you will have to meet it. I pray God will give you grace and courage and wisdom.

Finally, "what a wonderful thought it is that the great controversy is nearing its end! In the closing work we shall meet with perils that we know not how to deal with; but let us not forget that the three great powers of heaven are working, that a divine hand is on the wheel, and that God will bring His purposes to pass. He will gather from the world a people who will serve Him in righteousness."-Ibid., book 2, p. 391.

What a wonderful assurance we have this morning, brethren and sisters, that you and I are in God's work. This work is not dependent on any man; it is dependent on our relationship with Him. There is only one way for us to face the future, and that is at the foot of the cross. A church with its eyes upon the Man of Calvary will never walk into apostasy.

Thank you, brethren and sisters, for giving me the privilege of serving you for the past 45 years, and may God bless every one of you.

End Elder Pierson’s Statement

Back to Ron’s response to Ty Gibson’s book

TWO  YEARS LATER, IN 1980, THE CHURCH ADOPTED ROME’S CENTRAL DOCTRINE, THE TRINITY DOCTRINE, which teaches that the humanity of Christ is ETERNAL, by teaching that there are three CO-ETERNAL persons to the Godhead. Thus, the heavenly Sanctuary/Atonement Incarnation sacrifice, BY WHICH A THIRD PERSON ACCRUED TO THE GODHEAD, is voided, obfuscated. Thus, this teaching sweeps away the entire Christian economy. Ellen White said that in the Alpha heresy, the Sanctuary was GONE. The Atonement was GONE. The omega heresy which was to involve the personality of God and Christ, does the same thing!

"'Unless the minister shall fearlessly declare the whole truth, unless he shall have an eye single to the glory of God and shall work under the direction of the great Captain of his salvation,' Ellen White warned, 'unless he shall move to the front, irrespective of censure and uncontaminated by applause, he will be accounted an unfaithful watchman.'" Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 5, page 263.

"The enemy is preparing for his last campaign against the church. He has so concealed himself from view that many can hardly believe that he exists, much less can they be convinced of his amazing activity and power. They have to a great extent forgotten his past record; and when he makes another advance move [THE OMEGA], they will not recognize him as their enemy, that old serpent, but they will consider him a friend, one who is doing a good work. Boasting of their independence they will, under his specious, bewitching influence, obey the worst impulses of the human heart and yet believe that God is leading them. Could their eyes be opened to distinguish their captain, they would see that they are not serving God, but the enemy of all righteousness. They would see that their boasted independence is one of the heaviest fetters Satan can rivet on unbalanced minds." {5T 294.1}

It was SDA leaders who formed the New Movement that removed God and pillar doctrines.

Change Leaders and Know it Not:

Change Leaders: "There is manifested on the part of men in responsible positions an unwillingness to confess where they have been in the wrong and their neglect is working disaster, not only to themselves, but to the churches....You will be left to make mistakes of a similar character, you will continue to lack wisdom, and will call sin righteousness and righteousness sin. The multitude of deceptions that will prevail in these last days will encircle you, and you will change leaders, and not know that you have done so." E.G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 2, 448.

Open sin "Christ has plainly taught that those who persist in open sin must be separated from the church..." E. G. White,  Christ's Object Lessons, 71.

“There was a coming out, a decided separation from the wicked, an escape for life. So it was in the days of Noah; so with Lot; so with the disciples prior to the destruction of Jerusalem; [so with the Reformers, and so with the pioneers of the Advent movement] and so it will be in the last days [now]… Again the voice of [Yahuwah] is heard in a message of warning, bidding His people separate themselves from the prevailing iniquity...As in the days of Noah and Lot, there  must be a marked separation from sin and sinners.” PP:166-7.

"Christ has plainly taught that those who persist in open sin must be separated from the church..." E. G. White,  Christ's Object Lessons, 71.

"The names of those who sin and refuse to repent should not be retained on the church books, lest the saints be held accountable for their evil deeds. Those who pursue a course of transgression should be visited and labored with, and if they then refuse to repent, they should be separated from church fellowship, in accordance with the rules laid down in the Word of God." {11MR 208.3}

The tares and the wheat are to grow together until the harvest; and the harvest is the end of probationary time." God would in no wise excuse sin in a people who had been enlightened, even if He had, in their days of faithfulness and purity, loved them, and given them especial promises. These promises and blessings were always upon condition of obedience upon their part. Spirit of Prophecy, Vol. 2, p.54.

 "We must as a people arouse and cleanse the camp of Israel. Licentiousness, unlawful intimacy, and unholy practices are coming in among us in a large degree...We are in danger of becoming a sister to fallen Babylon, of allowing our churches to become corrupted and filled with every foul spirit, a cage for every unclean and hateful bird, and will we be clear unless we make decided movements to cure the existing evil?” E. Conclusions

Ty Gibson did not dig deep enough into the weight of evidence, and he is deluded as to God’s real plan for His final “Jerusalem” church of Isaiah 37:31, 32, which applied in the first literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, that was a PREFIGURE, so it will apply in the next literal fulfillment which is the ANTITYPE of the historic TYPE. He and a lot of Adventists are in for a very gruesome surprise if they continue on their present course. I can promise you that if Ty Gibson sighed and cried for all the abominations according to Ezekiel 9 and Isaiah 58:1, he would not be well received by the church no matter how lovingly he sighed and cried aloud to show God’s people their sins. How do I know that for sure? I know what happened to Jesus and His disciples. I know what happened to Paul. I know what happened to John the Baptist. I know what has happened to TRUE REFORMERS in every succeeding generation. DA, 232. The wise virgins will take heed and escape.

Ty speaks of the conviviality he has with the leaders and how well he has been accepted after returning to the church, but if he sighed and cried aloud and spared not, to show God’s people their sins (Ezekiel 9 and Isaiah 58:1), the leaders would not be so friendly to him. Jesus did it all the right way and look what happened to him and His disciples!

It is more than of passing interest that in my first publication, The Omega Journal, in 1986, I made the following statement:

The Twelve Spies

Twelve spies were sent into the Land of Canaan. Only two had faith that it could be conquered, Joshua and Caleb.

Of the following list, only two, Robert Sessler and William Grotheer (now deceased) had the faith to take on the giants of the SDA New Movement, and not remain joined to that apostate movement. God showed me in vision the course these men would take. Time has proven my vision true. I didn’t know the future choices these men would make, but God did. We were never to join ANY new movement.

Many times, Ty Gibson misapplies things that apply to the church triumphant and/or the bride, to the church militant. He does this with the term Zion. In my Omega Journal, I demonstrated that Zion is the bride of Christ, Isaiah 62:1-5. She is the 144,000, Rev. 14:1-4. She is Philadelphia because only the 144,000 enter the Temple on Mt. Zion. (EW p. 19). Philadelphia is made pillars (leaders) in the Temple. Ty Gibson calls the church militant Zion. In other words, the entire church will be translated without seeing death if he is right. But not so!

Did Jesus ever instruct anyone to obey erring leaders no matter what they did?  That is what Ty Gibson is advocating.

Cry  aloud spare not Isa. 58:1. Sigh and cry for all the abominations. Mark this point with care.

“Mark this point with care; those who receive the pure mark of truth, wrought in them by the power of the Holy Ghost, represented by the man in linen, are those "that sigh and cry for all the abominations that are done" in the church. Their love for purity and the honor and glory of God is such, and they have so clear a view of the exceeding sinfulness of sin, that they are represented as being in an agony, even sighing and crying.” {RH, June 8, 1886 par. 2}

Ty Gibson calls for perfect unity in the New Movement church. The only entity that achieves that is the 144,000, to wit:

“I am instructed to say to Seventh-day Adventists the world over, God has called us as a people to be a peculiar treasure unto Himself.  He has appointed that His church on earth shall stand perfectly united in the Spirit and counsel of the Lord of hosts to the end of time." 2SM 380

The New Movement surely is not in perfect unity. That “church” has caused more anarchy and division than any movement ever caused in the SDA church.

The 144,000 were all sealed and perfectly united. On their foreheads was written, God, New Jerusalem, and a glorious star containing Jesus' new name. At our happy, holy state the wicked were enraged, and would rush violently up to lay hands on us to thrust us into prison, when we would stretch forth the hand in the name of the Lord, and they would fall helpless to the ground. Then it was that the synagogue of Satan knew that God had loved us who could wash one another's feet and salute the brethren with a holy kiss, and they worshiped at our feet.” {EW 15.1}

"My message to you is: No longer consent to listen without protest to the perversion of truth. Unmask the pretentious sophistries which, if received, will lead ministers and physicians and medical missionary workers to ignore truth. Every one now is to stand on his guard. God call upon men and women to take their stand under the blood-stained banner of Prince Emmanuel. I have been instructed to warn our people for many are in danger of receiving theories and sophistries that undermine the foundation pillars or the faith." Ellen G. White, Series B, No. 2: 29.

A Time To Protest--When there are men in the church who love riches more than righteousness, and who stand ready to take advantage of their fellow-men by unjust dealings, shall we make no protest? And when men standing in the position of leaders and teachers work under the power of spiritualistic ideas and sophistries, shall we keep silent, for fear of injuring their influence, while souls are being beguiled?  Satan will use every advantage that he can obtain to cause souls to become clouded and perplexed in regard to the work of the church, in regard to the word of God, and in regard to the words of warning which He has given through the testimonies of His Spirit, to guard His little flock from the subtleties of the enemy.--Manuscript 72, 1904, p. 6. {ChL 62.1}

“Let me tell you that the Lord will work in this last work in a manner very much out of the common order of things, and in a way that will be contrary to any human planning. There will be those among us who will always want to control the work of God, to dictate even what movements shall be made when the work goes forward under the direction of the angel who joins the third angel in the message to be given to the world. God will use ways and means by which it will be seen that He is taking the reins in His own hands. The workers will be surprised by the simple means that He will use to bring about and perfect His work of righteousness.” Testimonies to Ministers, p. 300.

"Even though you may not be able to speak a word to those who are working on wrong principles, leave them. 4, p. 42.

Fear and Shun "'They that forsake the law praise the wicked.' Proverbs 28:4. When those who are uniting with the world, yet claiming great purity, plead for union with those who have ever been the opposers of the cause of truth, we should fear and shun them as decidedly as did Nehemiah. Such counsel is prompted by the enemy of all good. It is the speech of timeservers, and should be resisted as resolutely today as then. Whatever influence would tend to unsettle the faith of God' people in His guiding power, should be steadfastly withstood." E.G. White, Prophets and Kings, p. 660.

"We should never give sanction to sin by our words, our deeds, our silence or our presence." Desire of Ages, 152.

All we can do is pray for Ty Gibson, and all who might read his book not knowing the rest of the weight of evidence that paints an entirely different picture. God says that His people perish for a lack of knowledge. They don’t know what you just read! But there is no excuse for their lack of knowledge. They won’t dig in the Word as for hidden treasure, and God says that they delight in their abominations.

Chapter Seven of Ty’s Book Entitled Ellen White’s “Mistake”

It is serious error for Ty, in a book that is supposed to take a true position on a proper response to apostasy, to try to capitalize on the following statement by Ellen White:

“Oh, how I long for Jesus to come, how I long for Him to set things in order. I am now becoming convicted that I have made a mistake in specifying wrongs existing in my brethren. Many are so constituted that they will take these wrongs and deal so severely with the wrongdoer that he will have no courage or hope to set himself right, and this mismanagement will ruin a soul. They, knowing the things I know, treat the erring in altogether a different manner than I would. Hereafter I must exercise more caution. I will not trust my brethren to deal with souls, if God will forgive me where I have erred. I plead with all to look away from me, look away from human, finite, erring men’s opinions, and look to Jesus. Plead with the dear Lord, talk much less with different ones, and pray more. . . I wish that we had much more of the Spirit of Christ and great deal less self and less of human opinions. If we err, let it be on the side of mercy rather than on the side of condemnation and harsh dealing.” {Lt16-1887.13}  {Lt16-1887.14}.

Any True Reformer will immediately sense how most members of the New Movement will respond to the above statement. They will tend to use it as an excuse for not sighing and crying for all the abominations and for not crying aloud to show God’s people their sins, like Ellen White says that the “dumb-dog watchmen” do in Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 211, to wit:

In repeating Ellen White’s “Mistake” statement, Ty is taking the statement out of context, as well as doing after the manner of the dumb-dog watchmen who PRESUME upon God’s mercy, saying:

“The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together." Ibid. 211.

Ty is ever so subtly saying throughout the entire book that independent ministries who have separated from the New Movement, are to blame for all the anarchy and division. I submit to you that it is the leaders who formed a New Movement “among” WITHIN the church that are to be faulted. He implies that if he err’s, it will be on the side of mercy, whereas Ellen White was speaking of how we should help those who are with faults and defects, not gross apostasy. In the event of apostasy and compromise of the truth, she said let there be war. GC, p. 45. But I would hasten to add that even in dealing with the apostasy and apostates of the church, we should exercise loving concern with no taint of bitterness and self-righteousness, always remembering that we all have sinned and crucified Christ afresh. But that does not excuse us from our duty to sigh and cry for all the abominations and that means CRY ALOUD, Isaiah 58:1.

What Ty is apparently unwittingly saying is that he is not going to sigh and cry about the abominations because that angers the leaders. He is not going to cry aloud and show God’s people their gross abominations (sins) because that is not merciful. He is not going to warn his brothers and sisters of the literal slaughter of men, maidens and little children that will begin at His New Movement church, the House of Jacob, because that would not be merciful, when it is the exact opposite that is PURE TRUTH. God have mercy on his erring soul.

Here is the full context of Ellen White’s statement on erring on the side of mercy.

Butler, G. I.

Basel, Switzerland

April 21, 1887

Portions of this letter are published in TSB 239-242.

Elder George I. Butler

Dear Brother:

Your last letter is received, and the questions asked in reference to Oviatt and Brother Sharp I cannot answer further than I have done. I am inclined to the same opinion that I had when I wrote Smith Sharp. The counsel that I gave him, I think, was safe, and if my good brethren had acted in concert with that counsel, I think they would have done that which was pleasing to the Lord. I think matters have now come in a bad shape for him. He has been entrusted with responsibilities which will have a tendency to elevate him. And it may be that he is not in as good a condition to go forth to labor in some far off field than he was months ago. {Lt16-1887.1}

I have not changed my mind in his case, I do not think that it has been managed wisely, taking his soul into consideration. He proposed to prove himself, on his own responsibility, without expense to the conference, and he should have had this chance. {Lt16-1887.2}

In regard to Brother [J. H.] Waggoner, I do not think your management the wisest. I think he should have a chance for his life. If the man is willing and desirous of coming to Europe on his own responsibility, perhaps that would be wisdom. He will never recover himself where he is under present circumstances. I did have a dream many months ago, which showed him restored with the blessing of God resting upon him; but he was not brought to this position by the help of yourself, or Elder Haskell, but would have as far as you both were concerned the attitude you assumed toward him, have ever remained in the dark, and his light would have gone out in darkness. {Lt16-1887.3}

That dream prompted the letter that W. C. White wrote him, asking him in reference to coming to Europe, which your conference had voted one year ago that he should do, and made a mistake in sending him to Oakland instead of Europe. He should have come here at once. {Lt16-1887.4}

We shall not urge anything more in his case, but shall do the uttermost in our power to save his soul from death and hide a multitude of sins. I am in great perplexity at times and have about come to the conclusion, when a case of error and grievous sin is presented before me, to say nothing to my ministering brethren if they do not know the matter themselves, but labor earnestly for the erring one and encourage him to hope in God’s mercy and cling to the merits of a crucified and risen Saviour, look to the Lamb of God in repentance and contrition and live His strength. {Lt16-1887.5}

“Come and let us reason together, though your sins be as scarlet I will make them white as wool, though they are as crimson, I will make them as snow.” [Isaiah 1:18.] {Lt16-1887.6}

There is not the mingling of the elements of character that brings justice and mercy and the love of God into beautiful harmony. There is altogether too much talking, too many strong words and strong feelings that the Lord has nothing to do with, and these strong feelings influence our good brethren. {Lt16-1887.7}

I am compelled to deal plainly and rebuke sin, and then I have it in my heart, placed there by the Spirit of Christ to labor in faith, in tender sympathy and compassion for the erring. I will not let them alone, I will not leave them to become the sport of Satan’s temptations. I will not myself act the part of the adversary of souls as is represented by Joshua and the Angel. Souls cost the price of my Redeemer’s blood. When men, themselves liable to temptation, erring mortals, shall be free to pronounce upon another’s case who is humbled in the dust, and shall take it on themselves to decide by their own feelings or the feelings of their brethren just how much feeling the erring one should manifest to be pardoned, they are taking on themselves that which God has not required of them. When I know that there are those who have fallen into great sin, but we have labored with and for them, and God has afterwards accepted their labors; when these have pleaded for me to let them go and to not burden myself for them, I have said, “I will not give you up; you must gather strength to overcome.” These men are now in active service. This course toward them was wrong, or the course that is pursued is not exactly that which Jesus would pursue under similar circumstances. {Lt16-1887.8}

My mind is greatly perplexed over these things, because I cannot harmonize them with the course that is being pursued. I am fearful to sanction sin, and I am fearful to let go of the sinner and make no effort to restore him. I think if our hearts were more fully imbued with the spirit of Christ, we should have His melting love and should work with spiritual power to restore the erring and not leave them under Satan’s control. {Lt16-1887.9}

We need good heart religion that we shall not only reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine, but we shall take the erring in our arms of faith and bear them to the cross of Christ. We must bring them in contact with the sin-pardoning Saviour. {Lt16-1887.10}

I am more pained than I can express to see so little aptitude and skill to save souls that are ensnared by Satan. I see such a cold Pharisaism, holding off at arm’s length the one who has been deluded by the adversary of souls, and then I think, what if Jesus treated us in this way. Is this spirit to grow among us? If so, my brethren must excuse me, I cannot labor with them. I will not be a party to this kind of labor. {Lt16-1887.11}

I call to mind the shepherd hunting the lost sheep and the prodigal son. I want those parables to have their influence upon my heart and my mind. I think of Jesus, what love and tenderness He manifested for erring, fallen man, and then I think of the severe judgment one pronounces upon his brother that has fallen under temptation, and my heart becomes sick. I see the iron in hearts and think we should pray for hearts of flesh. {Lt16-1887.12}

Oh, how I long for Jesus to come, how I long for Him to set things in order. I am now becoming convicted that I have made a mistake in specifying wrongs existing in my brethren. Many are so constituted that they will take these wrongs and deal so severely with the wrongdoer that he will have no courage or hope to set himself right, and this mismanagement will ruin a soul. They, knowing the things I know, treat the erring in altogether a different manner than I would. Hereafter I must exercise more caution. I will not trust my brethren to deal with souls, if God will forgive me where I have erred. I plead with all to look away from me, look away from human, finite, erring men’s opinions, and look to Jesus. Plead with the dear Lord, talk much less with different ones, and pray more. {Lt16-1887.13}

I will write no more on this point. I will not confuse judgment, but I wish that we had much more of the Spirit of Christ and great deal less self and less of human opinions. If we err, let it be on the side of mercy rather than on the side of condemnation and harsh dealing. {Lt16-1887.14}

Now I have a word to say upon other matters. Brother Mason has written in reference to the camp-meeting in Michigan being held in the fall instead of June and has given some encouragement that we would attend the meeting if it were put off till fall. He asked me a question on the point and then wrote the letter which he sent you. After he read me his, I thought I would send one in the same mail to tell you not to depend on our attending the meeting and therefore make no change on that account. It is uncertain how long we shall remain in England. Brother Haskell’s delay will detain us. We are daily pleading with God to know our duty, that we may do it in His fear. We hope to move in His counsel. We may have to remain here another year. If anything can be done in England, we want to see it done. It is impossible to lay definite plans, so do not make any change in your camp-meeting merely with the encouragement he gave you in his letter. The Lord must guide our future. We see a terrible lack of men here to prepare publications for translation in the different languages, but the Lord knows all about it, and we trust the matter with Him. {Lt16-1887.15}

Brethren Ertzenberger and Conradi are having a good interest in Zurich. One sister from Lausanne has been visiting and giving Bible readings from house to house. One lady has become so interested that she gave this sister one hundred and sixty francs for the mission and says if this sister will continue her work in Zurich she will give one thousand francs to aid in the work. Brethren E. and C. begin to see that there is fruit quite near us to be picked, but it was hard to make them understand it. They thought they must go to a distant field to work; but twenty have been raised up in Basel, and we hope more will be in Zurich. God speed the work is my prayer. Our brethren are of excellent courage in the Lord. If we could have twenty laborers right here in Switzerland for this year, I believe a good work would be accomplished. But I fear that much is being lost in sending off many of the workers into far distant fields when new workers are not being fitted to take the places of the ones removed. We hope that God will give you His spiritual enlightenment in all difficult problems. Let us get our light from God and not depend too much on what different ones may say and have them feel as if it were the voice of God. {Lt16-1887.16}

Brother Butler, I do not want to make you feel bad, but I do feel sadly burdened over many things. I hope that we will draw nigh to God, that He may draw nigh to us. {Lt16-1887.17}

Ty’s book deals much with quotes from the following article written by Ellen White in 1893, to two men, Stanton and Caldwell, who were calling the church Babylon and calling for separation. They were giving the loud cry to the church at a time when Ellen White said the church was receiving a refreshing of the Holy Spirit from the Lord. That is the TIME, PLACE AND CIRCUMSTANCE of this letter.

The leaders of the church published this letter by Ellen White, in the Review and Herald in 1956. The title is theirs, implying that we should not join any New Movement. Beginning in the mid 1950’s, the church began to form a New Movement among, within the church. And they tell all who will not join that New Movement are outside of God’s remnant church.

Should Adventists Join Some New Movement?

Bank’s Terrace Wellington, New Zealand

June 12, 1893

Those who have published the Loud Cry tract have not consulted me upon the subject. They have quoted largely from my writings and put their own construction upon them. They claim to have a special message from God to pronounce the Seventh-day Adventist Church Babylon, proclaim her fall, and call the people of God to come out of her, and try to make the Testimonies substantiate their theory. These publications are misleading minds, and increasing the prejudice already existing, and tend to make it more difficult to get access to them to present the message God has given in warnings to the world of altogether a different character from the ideas presented in these pamphlets. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 1}

I arose at half-past two o’clock; I could not sleep; the burden was upon me. The history of the children of Israel urged itself upon my mind, and many points were so clearly pressed upon me that I dared not keep silent. I wrote twenty-three pages between three o’clock and half-past twelve o’clock. My spirit was stirred within me. I felt a burden for the people of God, not only on account of this one production, but because of many such matters which are coming to the people, claiming to be messages from God. “By their fruits ye shall know them.” {RH November 8, 1956, par. 2}

A number of these pamphlets came to the post office, with instruction to the postmaster to hand them to Seventh-day Adventists. The people of Wellington are full of prejudice. The circulation of D. M. Canright’s falsehoods has created prejudice, making it next to impossible to reach the people and everything of this character creates the suspicion that we are working under cover. These pamphlets and telegraph dispatches from Brother C are of a character to confirm these suspicions. All these things are closing the doors of the people against us. The way is being hedged up by just such things. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 3}

These men who think they are doing God service are working on the enemy’s side, not on God’s side. Yesterday I sent twenty-three pages of manuscript to Melbourne to be prepared for circulation among our people. Prior to this I sent a number of pages treating on the same subject. It will not be prepared to go in this month’s mail. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 4}

A little leaven of false doctrine, under the inspiration of satanic agencies, may work much harm to those who are not rooted and grounded and unmovable in present truth. No one can be safe now unless riveted to the eternal Rock. We have every reason to be grateful and trustful in God. The Lord Jesus knoweth them that are His. He died to save a lost world, and He is gathering out from it an army to serve under His banner. And He will present to Himself a glorious church without spot or wrinkle or any such thing. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 5}

I understood that both these men were at the General Conference [held in Battle Creek, February 17-March 6, 1893], that is, S and C. Could they not discern there the revealings of the Spirit of God? Could they not see that God was opening the windows of heaven and pouring out a blessing? Why was this? Testimonies had been given correcting and counseling the church and many had made a practical application of the message to the Laodicean Church, and were confessing their sins and repenting in contrition of soul. They were hearing the voice of Jesus, the heavenly Merchantman, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” {RH November 8, 1956, par. 6}

These brethren who claimed to have this wonderful light had the very same work of repentance and confession to do, thus clearing the rubbish from the door of their own hearts, and opening the door of their hearts to welcome the heavenly guest. Had they placed themselves in the channel of light, they would have received the most precious blessings from heaven. They would have seen that the Lord was indeed gracious, manifesting Himself to His people, and that the Sun of Righteousness had risen upon them. This was precious merchandizing actively carried on. The counsel of Christ to the Laodicean Church was being acted upon, and all who were feeling their poverty were buying gold (faith and love), white raiment (the righteousness of Christ), and eyesalve (true spiritual discernment). {RH November 8, 1956, par. 7}

Why did not these brethren fall into line, and place themselves in the channel of light? They were poverty stricken and knew it not. They were not working in Christ’s lines, were not softened and subdued by His Holy Spirit, and were so blinded that they could not see the strong beams of light that were coming from the throne of God upon His people. They heard not the voice of the true Shepherd. They were listening to the voice of a stranger. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 8}

When I consider the infirmities of these misled brethren, I feel deep sorrow of heart that they did not plead with God, “Bless me, O God bless, now I see my error. Thou art communicating to Thy people the richest truths ever committed to mortals. These people are not Babylon; for Thou hast given to them righteousness and peace and Thy joy, that their joy may be full.” O why did they not open the door of their heart to Jesus? Why not have removed right there all that obstructs the bright beams of the Sun of Righteousness that they might shine to the world? While God’s blessing was penetrating everywhere, while His presence was consecrating and sanctifying souls unto Himself, why did they not place their souls in the channel of light? It was because Satan had cast his hellish shadow athwart their pathway to obstruct every ray of light. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 9}

How could they come from that meeting where the power of God was revealed in so marked a manner, and proclaim that the loud cry was that the commandment-keeping people were Babylon. Satan was saying that same thing to Christ when Joshua stood before the angel. Satan was declaring his sins to be so great that he should not be restrained from destroying him. The words of Christ are applicable to these brethren, and to all who advance similar sentiments. “The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and stood before the angel.” Who clothed him with filthy garments? “And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment. And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the Lord stood by. And the angel of the Lord protested unto Joshua, saying, Thus saith the Lord of Hosts; if thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.” The work of Satan is to cover the repentant, believing, commandment-keeping people of God with defiling garments; Jesus Christ commands them to be clothed with His righteousness, garments woven in the loom of heaven. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 10}

What have our brethren S and C been doing? If they had been commissioned of God to do this work they would not need to appropriate the writings of Sister White, without consulting her or saying a word to her. If they have so large confidence in the work the Lord has given her to do, why did not they advise with her, and see if this wonderful message was in accordance with the instruction given her of the Lord? Why did they not have wisdom to go to work in the right way? {RH November 8, 1956, par. 11}

But theirs is a spurious message, of the same character of similar messages that men have claimed to have of the Lord. It is not as the bright shining of a candle lighted from the divine altar. When the Lord gives His people light it is light. It is not darkness and error, leading directly away from the true light which God has sent to strengthen and bless, and give hope to His people. These men had no right to appropriate the Lord’s goods entrusted to His humble servant to trade upon and improve by trading upon them, and to place them in the framework of their errors, making it appear that it was the voice of God from heaven giving the “Loud Cry” that the church, His chosen people, who are keeping His commandments, are Babylon, and His people are called to come out of her. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 12}

Note by Ron: Of course the commandment-KEEPING people of 1893, who were then receiving a refreshing of the Holy Spirit from the Lord were not Babylon. Ellen White said that Adventists were not to join any new movement. After her death, the formation of an omega of apostasy New Movement was formed “among” (within) the church that removed God and pillar doctrines. Ellen White made it clear that we should not join that new movement as well by saying that we should repudiate it. End note.

I have no such message to give; but one of an entirely different character. My work is to seek to save lost, perishing souls, and to teach them as did Paul, who says, “I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house, testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.... I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.” {RH November 8, 1956, par. 13}

Now he brings before them another class: “Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.” {RH November 8, 1956, par. 14}

In all ages of the world there have been men who think they have a work to do for the Lord, and show no respect for those whom the Lord has been using. They do not make right applications of Scripture, they wrest the Scriptures to sustain their own ideas. Whatever may be the claims of those who draw away from the body to proclaim theories of their own invention, they are in Satan’s service, to get up some new device to divert souls from the truth for this time. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 15}

Beware of those who arise with a great burden to denounce the church. The chosen ones who are standing and breasting the storm of opposition from the world, and are uplifting the downtrodden commandments of God to exalt them as honorable and holy, are indeed the light of the world. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 16}

How dare mortal man pass his judgment upon them, and call the church a harlot, Babylon, a den of thieves, a cage of every unclean and hateful bird, the habitation of devils, making the nations drunk with the wine of her fornication, confederating with the kings and great men of the earth, waxing rich through the abundance of her delicacies, and proclaiming that her sins have reached unto heaven and God hath remembered her iniquities? Is this the message we have to bear to Seventh-day Adventists? I tell you No! God has given no man any such message. Let these men humble their hearts before God, and in true contrition repent that they have even for a time stood by the side of the accuser of the brethren who accused them before God day and night.... {RH November 8, 1956, par. 17}

It seems almost impossible that anyone who had a genuine experience in the faith should suggest such erroneous applications of Scripture as applicable to God’s commandment-keeping people. Supposing this spurious message is the one everyone must hear for this time, “Come out of her, my people,” where shall we go to? Where shall we find the purity, goodness, and holiness where we shall be secure? Where is the fold where no wolves will enter? {RH November 8, 1956, par. 18}

I tell you, my brethren, the Lord has an organized body through whom He will work. There may be more than a score of Judases among them; there may be a rash Peter who will under circumstances of trial deny his Lord; there may be persons represented by John whom Jesus loved, but he may have a zeal that would destroy men’s lives by calling down fire from heaven upon them to revenge an insult to Christ and to the truth. But the great Teacher seeks to give lessons of instruction to correct these existing evils. He is doing the same today with His church. He is pointing out their dangers. He is presenting before them the Laodicean message. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 19}

He shows them that all selfishness, all pride, all self-exaltation, all unbelief and prejudice, which lead to resistance of the truth and turn away from the true light, are dangerous, and unless repented of, those who cherish these things will be left in darkness as was the Jewish nation. Let every soul now seek to answer the prayer of Christ. Let every soul echo that prayer in mind, in petitions, in exhortations, that they all may be one even as Christ is one with the Father, and work to this end. In the place of turning the weapons of warfare within our own ranks, let them be turned against the enemies of God and of the truth. Echo the prayer of Christ with your whole heart: “Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.... I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.” Also this prayer which He offers to interpret the process through which His followers are sanctified: “Sanctify them through thy truth.” {RH November 8, 1956, par. 20}

The door of the heart must be opened to the Holy Spirit, for this is the sanctifier, and the truth is the medium. There must be an acceptance of the truth as it is in Jesus. This is the only genuine sanctification: “Thy word is truth.” O read the prayer of Christ for unity, “Keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.” The prayer of Christ is not only for those who are now His disciples, but for all those who shall believe on Christ through the words of His disciples, even to the end of the world. Jesus was just about to yield up His life to bring life and immortality to light. Christ, amid His sufferings, and being daily rejected of men, looks down the lines two thousand years to His church which would be in existence in the last days, before the close of this earth’s history. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 21}

The Lord has had a church from that day, through all the changing scenes of time to the present period, 1893. The Bible sets before us a model church. They are to be in unity with each other, and with God. When believers are united to Christ the living vine, the result is that they are one with Christ, full of sympathy and tenderness and love. When anyone is drawing apart from the organized body of God’s commandment-keeping people, when he begins to weigh the church in his human scales, and begins to pronounce judgment against them, then you may know that God is not leading him. He is on the wrong track. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 22}

Constantly, men and women are arising who become restless and uneasy, who want to set up some new contrivance; to do some wonderful thing. Satan watches his opportunity to give them something to do in his line. God has given to every man his work. There are opportunities and privileges in the church to help those who are ready to die, and to inspire the church with zeal, but not to tear the church to pieces. There are plenty of opportunities in the church to walk in Christ’s lines. If the heart is full of zeal to press on to a deeper sanctification and holiness, then work in that line in all humbleness and devotedness. The church needs freshness and the inspiration of men who breathe in the very atmosphere of heaven, to vitalize the church, notwithstanding the tares are among the wheat. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 23}

If good men and humble men will take up their duty just where it is, to help those who are ready to die, they will be a great blessing to the church. There are unconverted men in the church, and if those who are so longing to show their zeal for the Lord will seek these poor souls and work with patience and perseverance to win them to Jesus, God would work with them. “Ye are laborers together with God,” not to tear down and destroy, but to restore. “Make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way.” There is an abundance of work that is needed to be done in home missions, and in exercising the talents God has given us, for wise improvement. We may become skillful as a tradesman in His business by practice. We want to become skillful in the trade of working to bless souls, learning to save souls. This requires prayer, and earnest, persevering effort, and a willingness to work in a humble way. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 24}

If the money that has been needlessly expended in the doing of works that God has not sent men to do at all, had been employed economically in ways that are simple and safe for the progress and upbuilding of Christ’s kingdom in the world, instead of helping Satan to cast upon the kingdom of Christ reproach, and clothing His church with filthy garments as Satan is doing, and urging them into false positions by using the reproofs and corrections that God has given them to show them their sin; what a great work would have been laid upon the foundation stone. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 25}

“Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.” I would caution all believers to learn to maintain a godly jealousy over yourselves, lest Satan shall steal your heart away from God, and you slip unconsciously into work in Satan’s lines, without perceiving that you have changed leaders, and be found in the treacherous power of a tyrant. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 26}

We are as a church to be wide awake, and to work for the erring among us, as laborers together with God. We are furnished with spiritual weapons, mighty to the pulling down of the fortress of the enemy. We are not to hurl the thunderbolts against the church of Christ militant; for Satan is doing all he possibly can in this line, and you who claim to be the remnant of the people of God had better not be found helping him, denouncing, accusing, and condemning. Seek to restore, not to tear down, discourage, and destroy.—Manuscript 21, 1893. {RH November 8, 1956, par. 27}

Ty’s book says that Ellen White never said that the church would be any part of Babylon. That is not true. Jesus called the apostate Jewish church the Synagogue of Satan. However, He also said that a remnant would go forth out of apostate JERUSALEM, Isaiah 37:31, 32. So I believe it is wrong to call the church Babylon. Also, many Babylonians have never heard the truth. So Adventists who know the truth and violate it are WORSE than Babylon. Ellen White says as much, to wit:

Worse than Babylon -- "God's professed people are selfish and self-caring....They are idolaters, and are worse, in the sight of God, than the heathen, graven-image worshippers who have had no knowledge of a better way." Testimonies, Vol. 2, 440-442.

"We must as a people arouse and cleanse the camp of Israel. Licentiousness, unlawful intimacy, and unholy practices are coming in among us in a large degree...We are in danger of becoming a sister to fallen Babylon, of allowing our churches to become corrupted and filled with every foul spirit, a cage for every unclean and hateful bird, and will we be clear unless we make decided movements to cure the existing evil? E. G. White, Manuscript Releases No. 449, pp. 17, 18. (Letter 51, 1886 to Elder Butler) Testimonies on Sexual Behavior, Adultery, and Divorce, p. 193.

Laodicean no Better Than Babylonians

Becomes lukewarm becomes Laodicean "If the church of God becomes LUKEWARM [LAODICEAN] it does not stand in favor with God any more than do the churches that are represented as having fallen and become the habitation of devils and the hold of every foul spirit and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird. Those who have had opportunities to hear and receive the truth, and who have united with the Seventh-day Adventist church, calling themselves the commandment keeping people of God, and yet possess no more vitality and consecration to God than do the nominal churches, will receive of the plagues of God just as verily as the churches who oppose the law of God." E.G. White, Letter 35, 1898.

If Laodicea is not regarded with any more favor by God than the fallen churches, and the call of Laodicea is to all churches, then there is no difference between Laodicea and the fallen churches as far as being in a fallen state is concerned. Different churches believe different aspects of Babylonian teachings, but Ellen White equates them all as far as falling from the favor of God is concerned, and as far as constituting the habitation of devils and the hold of every foul spirit and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Adventists who have known the truth, and then disobey it, are worse than heathen Babylonians

"Among the professed followers of Christ, there is the same pride, formalism, vainglory, selfishness, and OPPRESSION, that existed in the Jewish nation." E.G. White, Sketches from the Life of Paul, 251-252.

Ellen White says in over one-hundred statements that Adventists are moving in the same path of disobedience as did God’s first chosen people, the Jews. Here are a few examples:

“The same disobedience and failure which were seen in the Jewish church have characterized in a greater degree the people who have had this great light from heaven in the last messages of warning.” Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 456.

History repeats itself. “The thing that has been, it is that which shall be: and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” (Ecc. 1:9). In other words, The important movements of the present have their parallel in those of the past.” (G.C. 343).

That the Advent Movement is an important movement of the present no one can deny and it has its parallel in the history of Ancient Israel: “The remnant church is called to go through an experience similar to that of the Jews.” (1 SM, 387). Not one of us can afford to ignore the following warning:

The trials of the children of Israel, and their attitude just before the first coming of Christ, have been presented before me, again and again, to ILLUSTRATE the position of the people of God in their experience before the second coming of Christ—how the enemy sought every occasion to take control of the minds of the Jews, and today her is seeking to blind the minds of God’s servants, that they may not be able to discern the Precious Truth.” (1 SM, 406; 2 Cor 4:4). The “precious truth” mentioned here is the light sent to the Seventh-day Adventists in 1888.

"I have been shown that the spirit of the world is fast leavening the church. You are following the same path as did ancient Israel. There is the same falling away from your holy calling as God's peculiar people. You are having fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. Your concord with unbelievers have provoked he Lord's displeasure. You know not the things that belong to your peace, and they are fast being hid from your eyes. [The very words applied to fallen Israel on page 17 of The Great Controversy] Your neglect to follow the light will place you in a more unfavorable position than the Jews upon whom Christ pronounced a woe." Testimonies, Vol. 5, pp. 75-76.

I will close with the repeated admonitions that we are to sigh and cry for all the abominations that be done in the church, and the fact that it is not those who virtually excuse the abominations by refusing to say that the church is in apostasy, and that and murmur in their hearts, if not openly, against those who would reprove sin, that stand in the counsel of God. Such persons as Ty Gibson, are holding up the hands of open sinning apostate leaders and members by not calling apostasy what it is. All who err in this presumptuous form of erring on the side of mercy, unless they repent, will never receive the mark of God’s sealing approval. The church is in gross apostasy, even unpardonable sin apostasy, but there is hope for individual members who will repent. But the apostasy will wax stronger until Jesus comes.

THE SIN OF ACHAN

"God would teach His people that disobedience and sin are exceedingly offensive to Him. In the case of the sin of Achan, God has shown how He regards sin among those who profess to be His commandment-keeping people.  Those whom He has especially honored with witnessing the remarkable exhibitions of His power, as did ancient Israel, and that will venture to disregard His express directions, will be subjects of His wrath. God would teach His people that disobedience and sin are exceedingly offensive to Him, and not to be lightly regarded.  He shows us that when His people are found in sin, they should at once take decided measures to put the sin from them, that His frown should not rest upon all His people.  But if those in responsible positions pass over the sins of the people, His frown will be upon them, and the people of God, as a body, will be held responsible for the sins that exist in their midst. God, in His dealings with His people in the past, shows the necessity of purifying the church from wrongs that exist among them.  One sinner may diffuse darkness which will exclude the light of God from the entire congregation.  When the people realize that darkness is settling upon them, and they do not know the cause, then they should earnestly seek God in great humility and self-abasement, until the wrongs which grieve God’s Spirit are searched out and put away from among them.

If wrongs exist among the people, and the servants of God pass on indifferent to them, they virtually sustain and justify the sinner, and are guilty alike with the sinner, and will receive the displeasure of God just as surely as the sinner, for they will be made responsible for the sins of the guilty.  Those men who have excused wrongs have been thought by the people to be very amiable, and of lovely disposition, simply because they shunned to discharge a plain and scriptural duty.  The task was not agreeable to their feelings; therefore they avoided it.

"The spirit of hatred which has existed with some because the wrongs among God’s people have been reproved, has brought blindness and a fearful deception upon their own souls, making it impossible for them to discriminate between right and wrong. They have put out their own spiritual eyesight….

The true people of God, who have the spirit of the work of the Lord and the salvation of souls at heart, will ever view sin in its real, sinful character.  They will always be on the side of the faithful and plain dealing with sins which easily beset the people of God.  Especially in the closing work for the church, in the sealing time of the one hundred and forty-four thousand, who are to stand without fault before the throne of God, will they feel most deeply the wrongs of God’s professed people.  This is forcibly set forth by the prophet’s illustration of the last work under the figure of the men, each having a slaughter weapon in his hand.  One man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side.  ‘And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.’

"Who are standing in the counsel of God at this time?  Is it those who virtually excuse wrongs among the professed people of God, and murmur in their hearts, if not openly, against those who would reprove sin?  Is it those who take their stand against them, and sympathize with those who commit wrong?  No, indeed! These, unless they repent, and leave the work of Satan in oppressing those who have the burden of the work, and holding up the hands of sinners in Zion, will never receive the mark of God’s sealing approval.  They will fall in the general destruction of all the wicked, represented by the five men bearing slaughter weapons.  Mark this point with care; those who receive the pure mark of truth, wrought in them by the power of the Holy Ghost, represented by a mark by the man in linen, are those ‘that sigh and cry for all the abominations that are done’ in the church.  Their love for purity and the honor and glory of God is such, and they have so clear a view of the exceeding sinfulness of sin, that they are represented as being in agony, even sighing and crying. Read Ezekiel, chapter nine." R & H 9-23-1873.

I have repeated a number of statements in this document for important emphasis.

"Mark this point with care: Those who receive the pure mark of truth, wrought in them by the power of the Holy Ghost, represented by a mark by the man in linen, are those 'that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done' in the church.' Testimonies,  vol. 3, pp. 266-267.

I pray that this document will make it clear to the sincere seeker of truth, that Ezekiel 9 slaughter beginning at His Sanctuary, His church, the House of Jacob, those who have been privileged with great light, occurs because of very serious unpardonable sin, and not minor faults and defects. I believe that it would be impossible to refute the truth that I have set forth in refutation to Ty Gibson’s book, not because of me, but because of applying the weight of evidence the Spirit of Prophecy and Scripture have provided in this time of apostasy of the church leaders and their New Movement that has removed God Almighty from their church, leaving the only other master, Satan in charge, so that it is no longer a church, but the Synagogue of Satan, in parallel with Jesus referring to the apostate Jewish church as the Synagogue of Satan.

The Ezekiel 9 destruction of Israel in A.D. 7y0 was the PREFIGURE (TYPE) of the literal Ezekiel 9 fulfillment upon apostate Adventism in the antitype. The Great Controversy, p. 25. This slaughter will take place beginning on day 1290 of Daniel 12, after a 30 day warning period from day 12 60-1290. The Ezekiel 9 slaughter of Babylon will occur at the end of all things, GC 653-656. Notice the context in the last paragraph on page 653—BABYLON is ripe for destruction, whereas Judgment BEGINS at the House of God, for its probation closes before that of Babylon’s. The literal time periods of Daniel 12 occur AFTER MICHALE STANDS UP (IN CONTEXT), and Michael has not stood up yet.

God bless the Bride of Christ (Zion) Isaiah 62:1-5, and the wise virgins who will heed God’s warning and not be taken in Satan’s snare. It is the voice of God and the voice of the bride that awaken all ten virgins, for they all slumbered and slept. Matthew 25, and Christ’s Object Lessons, pp. 405-406.

Because Ezekiel 9 is literally fulfilled again upon the SDA church, Isaiah 37:31, 32 apply again as well, for those verses were fulfilled in the first literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9. These verses is an important reason why Omega of apostasy New Movement Adventism should NOT be referred to as Babylon, for there is a call out of Jerusalem (the SDA apostate church) as well as Babylon.

Addendum: https://omega77.tripod.com/churchtriumphant1.htm

“I have had conversation with W. C. White. He was presenting before me the necessity of our people heeding the voice of the General Conference. Then I said, “WCW, it is time you should understand that, [notwithstanding] the opinion that has prevailed, the General Conference so-called is no longer the voice of God. It has become a strange voice, and they are building strange fire. God does not speak through them. The work that is being done in the General Conference is a strange work. Elder Olsen is not in the light. Had he stood in the light, he would not have allowed us to be separated from him and come to this country. He has stood in a divided position in reference to the spirit brought from Minneapolis. He let the burdens fall upon me that never should have come upon me. Had he stood to his post of duty like a man after God’s own heart, the clouds would have broken and light would have come in clear and bright. But his half-and-half position was acting out the Aaron, and God was displeased. We were needed at the heart of the work all the years that we have been away from America. {Ms114-1894.1}

“There is being done in America, by the General Conference, that which the churches in the conferences know nothing about. You were not wanted in their councils. They wanted to get you out of the way. Elder Olsen was not fully in all their projects at first, but they—Harmon Lindsay and A. R. Henry—deceived him. Elder Olsen has betrayed the cause of God. He is not in union with Elder Ellet Waggoner, neither is he in harmony with A. T. Jones. He is yoked up and united with the men who are working at cross-purposes with God, and the churches are becoming leavened with the spirit that prevails at Battle Creek.” {Ms114-1894.2}

W. C. White appeared astonished when I told him that he was not wanted in Battle Creek councils and was crowded out, and meetings were held that he should have been notified to attend. But they took special pains that he should not know of these meetings. Elder Olsen could have wholly changed these things if he had stood free in God, bravely opposed to wrong, but he yoked up as a true yoke-fellow with A. R. Henry, who has carried things with a high hand. [They] would control everything upon the Pacific Coast if they could get their grasp upon it. I am instructed that the Lord will let these men have all they have worked for, and then will He punish them and mark their future. {Ms114-1894.3}

At Battle Creek they would expend means largely as they chose, for had they not the power to do so? Were they not the voice which would control all matters in every conference? The wicked course being pursued must be brought to light. Honesty was not practiced in dealing with others, and there was robbery against their fellow men. Their methods in the book concern was a sham. Men were placed there, to pronounce upon the merits of books, who had far better been engaged in secular business that had no definite relation in reference to the work of God. And what will be the end of these things? The people will be left in uncertainty until their faith in their supposed representatives is gone. Some of these men, like Captain Eldridge, may recover after they see their own course of action in the light [as] they might have seen it.” {Ms114-1894.4}

There are a number of other “PROOF QUOTES” Ty uses from Testimonies to Ministers, which the leaders have misinterpreted and misapplied since Ellen White’s death, in order to convince the people they should remain in the church no matter what it does (AS TY DOES IN HIS BOOK). So in lieu of repeating them all again in this document. I will give you the link below:
