My Vision on Satan's Counterfeit of the
Loud Cry Part 2
As the
Lord opened to my mind the understanding of the counterfeit loud cry, I
received more instructions to address certain matters that were left untouched.
The Mark
of the Beast
I was
shown that the fact that there is the mark of the beast, a counterfeit of the
seal of the living God, is another Bible proof that Satan is indeed
counterfeiting everything God does before He does it. Satan's counterfeit of
the loud cry is designed to prepare people to accept the mark of the beast – he
is preparing them to become inhabited by demons. This the reason why Revelation
18:2 says Babylon "is become the habitation of devils."
These
counterfeits also serve as a preparation of people for his coming, when he will
personify Christ. We know what Jesus requires before he comes:
"Christ
is waiting with longing desire for the manifestation of Himself in His
church. When the character of Christ shall be perfectly reproduced in His
people, then He will come to claim them as His own." {COL 69.1}
Likewise,
when the character of Satan shall be perfectly reproduced in his people, then
he will come to claim them as His own.
We have
already mentioned that at the legislation of the Sunday law when the time of
trouble begins, we will go and proclaim the Sabbath more fully:
“I saw
that the holy Sabbath is, and will be, the separating wall between the
true Israel of God and unbelievers; and that the Sabbath is the great question
to unite the hearts of God’s dear, waiting saints. I saw that God had children
who do not see and keep the Sabbath. They have not rejected the light upon
it. And at the commencement of the time of trouble, we were filled
with the Holy Ghost as we went forth and proclaimed the Sabbath more fully.”
{EW 85.2}
My angel
showed me that just as we will proclaim the Sabbath more fully, counterfeit loud cry proclaims
Sunday more fully. Agents of Satan will do this by
enumerating all the reason why we should keep holy the first day of the week.
Some of the popular reasons are: It is much needed day of rest from overwork;
It is the only day we can spend time with our families; It is a step away from
our everyday affairs; It is a day of break from technology; It will greatly
improve our health; It will greatly increase the moral of our society and so
forth. But the fact that a movement to establish error is connected with a work
which is in itself good, is not an argument in favor of the error:
"Yet
this very class put forth the claim that the fast-spreading corruption is
largely attributable to the desecration of the so-called “Christian sabbath,”
and that the enforcement of Sunday observance would greatly improve the morals
of society. This claim is especially urged in America, where the doctrine of
the true Sabbath has been most widely preached. Here the temperance work, one
of the most prominent and important of moral reforms, is often combined with
the Sunday movement, and the advocates of the latter represent themselves as
laboring to promote the highest interest of society; and those who refuse to
unite with them are denounced as the enemies of temperance and reform. But
the fact that a movement to establish error is connected with a work which is
in itself good, is not an argument in favor of the error.
We may disguise poison by mingling it with wholesome food, but we do not
change its nature. On the contrary, it is rendered more dangerous,
as it is more likely to be taken unawares. It is one of Satan’s devices to
combine with falsehood just enough truth to give it plausibility. The
leaders of the Sunday movement may advocate reforms which the people need,
principles which are in harmony with the Bible; yet while there is with these a
requirement which is contrary to God’s law, His servants cannot unite with
them. Nothing can justify them in setting aside the commandments of
God for the precepts of men." {GC 587.1}
So, it
is a conflict of righteousness by faith through Christ in obedience to the
commandments of God, versus self-righteousness through the spirit of Satan in
obedience to precepts of men that make void the law of God.
His
personification of Christ will also serve as a trigger to fasten in the minds
of people the popular, unscriptural belief, in the temporal millennium here on
earth.
A
Counterfeit Millennium
The
supposed 1,000 year reign of Christ here on earth is a Satan's version, a
deception and a counterfeit, of the true biblical teaching about the
millennium. The purpose of this false doctrine is to make people accept him as
a true Christ when in actuality he will be an imposter.
If the
Christian world studied the Word honestly allowing the Bible to be its own
expositor, they would discover that the millennium will be in heaven while the
earth is desolated for 1,000 years. So, this false doctrine about the
millennium on earth is a PREREQUISITE for his masterful deception.
Once
Satan ascends out of the bottomless pit, he will hand over the judgment of the
saints to the wicked and they will act as his jury and condemn the saints of
the Most High.
[Rev
17:14 KJV] These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall
overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that
are with him [are] called, and chosen, and faithful.
This is
what Jesus promised to His people:
[Mat 19:28
KJV] And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have
followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of
his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve
tribes of Israel.
As God
and his saints will be in engaged in the judgment during the millennium, so
Satan and his host will judge the Lamb in the person of His saints and execute
the penalty they determined – death. Here it is from the Bible:
[Rev
13:15 KJV] And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the
image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not
worship the image of the beast should be killed.
The time
left to the close of probation, is all that Satan has. In this time frame he has
to set everything up, including the preparation for the final attack on the New
Jerusalem after God, Christ, holy angels and saints descent from heaven to
desolated earth. The wicked will then be resurrected by Jesus. However, their
thoughts and characters will be the same as when they went to the grave. Since
probation will be closed at that time, it is clear that he must plan everything
now, for after probation closes, it will be impossible to deceive those who are
saved.
Children
Proclaim the Message
It was
shown to me that just as Satan is using children like Greta Thunberg to spread
his message far and wide and secure his harvest of souls, so likewise God will
use children to proclaim much needed truth for this time:
"Many,
even among the uneducated, now proclaim the words of the Lord. Children
are impelled by the Spirit to go forth and declare the message from heaven.
The Spirit is poured out upon all who will yield to its promptings and, casting
off all man’s machinery, his binding rules and cautious methods, they will
declare the truth with the might of the Spirit’s power."—Evangelism,
700 (1895)." {LDE 206.2}
"When
the heavenly intelligences see that men will no longer present the truth in
simplicity as did Jesus, the very children will be moved upon by the Spirit
of God and will go forth proclaiming the truth for this time."—The
Southern Work, 66 (1895). {LDE 206.3}
Our Duty
to Prepare Children and Elderly to be Faithful Unto Death
It is
highly improbable, however, that we will have many children or elderly among
the 144,000. There are 5 main reasons for this:
Reason
#1: While in vision, Ellen White saw many children having red as a
border on their garments. Jesus explained that this means they were martyrs
that had been slain for him:
"As
we were traveling along, we met a company who also were gazing at the glories
of the place. I noticed red as a border on their garments; their crowns
were brilliant; their robes were pure white. As we greeted them, I asked Jesus
who they were. He said they were martyrs that had been slain for Him. With
them was an innumerable company of little ones; they also had a
hem of red on their garments. Mount Zion was just before us, and on the
mount was a glorious temple, and about it were seven other mountains, on which
grew roses and lilies. And I saw the little ones climb, or, if they chose, use
their little wings and fly, to the top of the mountains and pluck the
never-fading flowers. There were all kinds of trees around the temple to beautify
the place: the box, the pine, the fir, the oil, the myrtle, the pomegranate,
and the fig tree bowed down with the weight of its timely figs—these made the
place all over glorious. And as we were about to enter the holy temple, Jesus
raised His lovely voice and said, “Only the 144,000 enter this place,” and we
shouted, “Alleluia.”" {EW 18.2}
Reason
#2: The Lord often said that many little ones will be laid
away before the time of trouble, as well as weak and sick people:
"It
is not always safe to ask for unconditional healing... He knows whether or not
those for whom petitions are offered would be able to endure the trial and test
that would come upon them if they lived. He knows the end from the beginning. Many
will be laid away to sleep before the fiery ordeal of the time of trouble shall
come upon our world.—Counsels on Health, 375 (1892)." {LDE 255.2}
"The
Lord has often instructed me that
many little ones are to be laid away before the time of trouble.
We shall see our children again. We shall meet them and know them in the
heavenly courts.—Selected Messages 2:259 (1899)." {LDE 255.3}
Reason
#3: It will be the worst time of trouble ever:
[Mat
24:21 KJV] For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the
beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
[Mat
24:22 KJV] And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh
be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
God has
shown me that 144,000 will survive because they will cooperate with God by obeying
all of God's laws while believing that God's laws are an extension of His care,
benevolence, and love toward his created creatures. Thus, they will enable God
to protect them during this period.
But as we
can see, even the elect ones, the 144,000, will survive because God will have
mercy on them. Therefore, it seems that many sick, weak, older or younger would
not be able to survive those extremely difficult living conditions.
Reason
#4: The faith required to go through the time of trouble is not
the same faith generally exercised by the believers. We will have to have
faith that is able to endure weariness, hunger, thirst, delay, imprisonment and
unjust and cruel bondage. To have this kind of faith, we must
have a thorough knowledge of the present truth and the pillars of faith,
the doctrines advocated by the Word of God, combined with unyielding obedience
and belief in God's promises.
"If
we would only believe, we should receive the Holy Spirit. The question is
asked, “Is the Lord’s arm shortened that it cannot save? is his ear heavy that
he cannot hear?”—No, he now works in the hearts of those who ask, who believe
that God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. We
must not be discouraged if Satan seeks to leaven the mind with subtle unbelief
while we are engaged in prayer, and our hearts are impressed with the high
standard of holiness to which we would attain. The enemy will suggest that the
Lord will not keep us from sinning, and make us obedient to all his
requirements. He will direct our mind to our past imperfections, to our sins,
failures, and mistakes, and tell us we need not expect to come off conquerors
at last. We are not to listen to the suggestions of the enemy, or think that
our unaided efforts can save us, but we are to believe that Jesus does the work
for us. At times when we have exercised a little faith, we have experienced a
little help, and we have hoped to be victorious overcomers. But have we had
faith that through Christ we should be able to overcome every temptation as he
overcame? We have not generally exercised this quality of faith."

"As
Satan accuses the people of God on account of their sins, the Lord permits
him to try them to the uttermost. Their confidence in God, their
faith and firmness, will be severely tested. As they review the past,
their hopes sink; for in their whole lives they can see little good. They are
fully conscious of their weakness and unworthiness. Satan endeavors to terrify
them with the thought that their cases are hopeless, that the stain of their
defilement will never be washed away. He hopes so to destroy their faith that
they will yield to his temptations and turn from their allegiance to God."

"The
season of distress and anguish before us will require a faith that can
endure weariness, delay, and hunger—a faith that will not faint though severely
tried. The period of probation is granted to all to prepare for that time.
Jacob prevailed because he was persevering and determined. His victory is an
evidence of the power of importunate prayer. All who will lay hold of God’s
promises, as he did, and be as earnest and persevering as he was, will succeed
as he succeeded. Those who are unwilling to deny self, to agonize before
God, to pray long and earnestly for His blessing, will not obtain it. Wrestling
with God—how few know what it is! How few have ever had their souls
drawn out after God with intensity of desire until every power is on the
stretch. When waves of despair which no language can express sweep over the
suppliant, how few cling with unyielding faith to the promises of God."

"As
the decree issued by the various rulers of Christendom against commandment
keepers shall withdraw the protection of government and abandon them to those
who desire their destruction, the people of God will flee from the cities and
villages and associate together in companies, dwelling in the most desolate and
solitary places. Many will find refuge in the strongholds of the mountains.
Like the Christians of the Piedmont valleys, they will make the high places of
the earth their sanctuaries and will thank God for “the munitions of rocks.”
Isaiah 33:16. But many of all nations and of all classes, high
and low, rich and poor, black and white, will be cast into the most
unjust and cruel bondage. The beloved of God pass weary days, bound
in chains, shut in by prison bars, sentenced to be slain, some apparently left
to die of starvation in dark and loathsome dungeons. No human ear is open
to hear their moans; no human hand is ready to lend them help." {GC 626.1}
Reason
#5: Thorough knowledge of God's Word and obedience will allow them
to teach others the gospel truths in short time periods, to resist the evidence
of their senses and to detect the deceiver. They will acquire the experience
many are too indolent to obtain:
"But
the people of God will not be misled. The teachings of this false
Christ are not in accordance with the Scriptures. His blessing is
pronounced upon the worshipers of the beast and his image, the very class upon
whom the Bible declares that God’s unmingled wrath shall be poured out."
{GC 625.1}
"Only
those who have been diligent students of the Scriptures and who have received
the love of the truth will be shielded from the powerful delusion that takes
the world captive. By the Bible testimony these will detect the deceiver in his
disguise. To all the testing time will come. By the sifting of temptation the
genuine Christian will be revealed. Are the people of God now so firmly
established upon His word that they would not yield to the evidence of their
senses? Would they, in such a crisis, cling to the Bible and the Bible only?
Satan will, if possible, prevent them from obtaining a preparation to stand in
that day. He will so arrange affairs as to hedge up their way, entangle them
with earthly treasures, cause them to carry a heavy, wearisome burden, that
their hearts may be overcharged with the cares of this life and the day of
trial may come upon them as a thief." {GC 625.3}
"The
“time of trouble, such as never was,” is soon to open upon us; and we
shall need an experience which we do not now possess and which many are too
indolent to obtain. It is often the case that trouble is greater in
anticipation than in reality; but this is not true of the crisis before us. The
most vivid presentation cannot reach the magnitude of the ordeal. In that time
of trial, every soul must stand for himself before God. “Though Noah, Daniel,
and Job” were in the land, “as I live, saith the Lord God, they shall deliver
neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their
righteousness.” Ezekiel 14:20." {GC 622.4}
When I
received the vision of the latter rain, 16th November, 2019, God
later showed me, Satan will counterfeit every part of the message of the angel
of Revelation 18. I will explain how he will counterfeit God's warning message.
A
Counterfeit Corporate Responsibility
Since it
is the duty of the people of God to proclaim to the world that they will be
held responsible for the sins committed by Babylon, Satan will inspire
Babylonians to have a counterfeit version of corporate responsibility.
Notice:
"And
then the great deceiver will persuade men that those who serve God are causing
these evils. The class that have provoked the displeasure of Heaven will
charge all their troubles upon those whose obedience to God’s commandments is a
perpetual reproof to transgressors. It will be declared that men are
offending God by the violation of the Sunday sabbath; that this sin has
brought calamities which will not cease until Sunday observance shall be
strictly enforced; and that those who present the claims of the fourth
commandment, thus destroying reverence for Sunday, are troublers of the people,
preventing their restoration to divine favor and temporal prosperity. Thus
the accusation urged of old against the servant of God will be repeated and
upon grounds equally well established: “And it came to pass, when Ahab saw
Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel?
And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house,
in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the Lord, and thou hast followed
Baalim.” 1 Kings 18:17, 18. As the wrath of the people shall be excited by
false charges, they will pursue a course toward God’s ambassadors very similar
to that which apostate Israel pursued toward Elijah." {GC 590.1}
"Satan’s
policy in this final conflict with God’s people is the same that he employed in
the opening of the great controversy in heaven. He professed to be seeking to
promote the stability of the divine government, while secretly bending every
effort to secure its overthrow. And the very work which he was thus endeavoring
to accomplish he charged upon the loyal angels. The same policy of
deception has marked the history of the Roman Church. It has professed to act
as the vicegerent of Heaven, while seeking to exalt itself above God and to
change His law. Under the rule of Rome, those who suffered death for their
fidelity to the gospel were denounced as evildoers; they were declared to be
in league with Satan; and every possible means was employed to cover them
with reproach, to cause them to appear in the eyes of the people and even to
themselves as the vilest of criminals. So it will be now. While Satan
seeks to destroy those who honor God’s law, he will cause them to be accused
as lawbreakers, as men who are dishonoring God and bringing judgments upon the
world." {GC 591.1}
"Those
who honor the law of God have been accused of bringing judgments upon the
world, and they will be regarded as the cause of the fearful convulsions of
nature and the strife and bloodshed among men that are filling the earth with
woe. The power attending the last warning has enraged the wicked; their
anger is kindled against all who have received the message, and Satan will
excite to still greater intensity the spirit of hatred and persecution."
{GC 614.3}
"As
the Sabbath has become the special point of controversy throughout Christendom,
and religious and secular authorities have combined to enforce the observance
of the Sunday, the persistent refusal of a small minority to yield to the
popular demand will make them objects of universal execration. It
will be urged that the few who stand in opposition to an institution of the
church and a law of the state ought not to be tolerated; that it is
better for them to suffer than for whole nations to be thrown into confusion
and lawlessness. The same argument many centuries ago was brought against
Christ by the “rulers of the people.” “It is expedient for us,” said the wily
Caiaphas, “that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation
perish not.” John 11:50. This argument will appear conclusive; and a
decree will finally be issued against those who hallow the Sabbath of the
fourth commandment, denouncing them as deserving of the severest punishment and
giving the people liberty, after a certain time, to put them to death.
Romanism in the Old World and apostate Protestantism in the New will pursue a
similar course toward those who honor all the divine precepts." {GC 615.2}
A
Counterfeit Wine
It was
shown to me that wine of the wrath of Babylon's fornication is Satan's
counterfeit of the new wine which Christ is commanding his people to partake
of:
[Rev
14:8 KJV] And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is
fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine
of the wrath of her fornication.
The wine
of wrath of her fornication are false doctrines that negate and make void the
true doctrine of Christ:
[Mat
26:27 KJV] And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave [it] to them, saying,
Drink ye all of it;
The more
we drink of the wine of the wrath of fornication, the older the bottle we
become, thus making harder for us to drink of the new wine which Christ is
asking us to drink of. Satan does not require that we become new bottles before
he pours in us his false doctrines. But Christ makes it a necessity, otherwise
we would burst from the potency of the new wine, the doctrine, of Christ.
[Luk
5:37 KJV] And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new
wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall
perish.
[Luk
5:38 KJV] But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are
preserved.
[Luk
5:39 KJV] No man also having drunk old [wine] straightway desireth new: for
he saith, The old is better.
Brother
and sisters, let us pray each day for a new dose of mercy, that we may be born
of God, so He can save us from bursting and perishing.
One
World Religion – Babylon the Great
While
the people of God will lift up their voices to call everyone out of religious
bodies, the cry of Satanic forces will be 'unity at all cost.' Satan will try
to get everybody to unite so he can cause the downfall of the righteous through
the forgotten principle of corporate responsibility.
His counterfeit
to a call out will be a call in into the one world religion.
[Rev
13:7 KJV] And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to
overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and
nations.
[Rev
13:8 KJV] And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose
names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the
foundation of the world.
[Rev
13:12 KJV] And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth
the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose
deadly wound was healed.
[Rev
13:16 KJV] And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free
and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
The
great Babylon will not be represented as a fallen city and a habitation of the
devils. The world will try to present him as an exalted city full of God's
spirit. Instead a warning call to every nation to stop consuming her false
doctrines, they will conclude that all the nations of the world are actually
converting, thus trying to make of no effect the message God sends in His
mercy.
"The
line of distinction between professed Christians and the ungodly is now hardly
distinguishable. Church members love what the world loves and are ready to join
with them, and Satan determines to unite them in one body and thus
strengthen his cause by sweeping all into the ranks of spiritualism.
Papists, who boast of miracles as a certain sign of the true church, will be
readily deceived by this wonder-working power; and Protestants, having cast
away the shield of truth, will also be deluded. Papists, Protestants, and
worldlings will alike accept the form of godliness without the power, and they
will see in this union a grand movement for the conversion of the world and the
ushering in of the long-expected millennium." {GC 588.3}
As we
can again see, the conversion of the world, and a temporal millennium is
included into the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
Satan's
purpose in this is to mold the minds of those that dwell on the earth to reject
the last message of mercy that God will send to his fallen world. He is trying
to prevent people from accepting salvation.
"The
magicians did not really cause their rods to become serpents; but by magic,
aided by the great deceiver, they were able to produce this appearance. The
prince of evil, though possessing all the wisdom and might of an angel fallen,
has not power to create or to give life; this is the prerogative of God alone.
But he produced a counterfeit." {EP 180.1}
"To
human sight the rods were changed to serpents. Such they were believed to be by
Pharaoh and his court. Though the Lord caused the real serpent to swallow up
the spurious ones, this was regarded by Pharaoh not as a work of God’s power,
but as the result of a kind of superior magic." {EP 180.2}
"Pharaoh
was seeking some pretext for disregarding the miracles that God had wrought
through Moses. Satan gave him just what he wanted. He made it appear that Moses
and Aaron were only magicians and sorcerers and that the message they brought
could not claim respect as coming from a superior being. Thus Satan’s
counterfeit caused Pharaoh to harden his heart against conviction. Satan hoped
also to shake the faith of Moses and Aaron." {EP 180.3}
"The
prince of evil well knew that Moses prefigured Christ, who was to break the
reign of sin over the human family. He knew that when Christ should appear,
mighty miracles would be an evidence to the world that God had sent Him. By
counterfeiting the work of God through Moses, Satan hoped not
only to prevent the deliverance of Israel, but through
future ages to destroy faith in the miracles of Christ by making
them appear to be the result of human power." {EP 180.4}
On the
other hand, God will enlighten the world with his glory to witness with his
testimony to every man and woman that Satan is leading them to perdition. Light
proceeding from the throne of God will shine the brightest in the darkest hour.
Satan's
Counterfeit of the Three Angels Messages
God has
shown me the significance in the three froglike spirits of Revelation 16:
[Rev
16:13 KJV] And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs [come] out
of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the
mouth of the false prophet.
[Rev
16:14 KJV] For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, [which] go
forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the
battle of that great day of God Almighty.
Verses
above are one more proof of Satan's counterfeit efforts. Frogs are mentioned
here to remind us of the plagues of Egypt. Frog Plague was the last thing that
Satan was able to mimic when he was counterfeiting the plagues of Egypt, and it
will be the last thing he is able to counterfeit in the end:

KJV] And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus
saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
[Exo 8:2
KJV] And if thou refuse to let [them] go, behold, I will smite all thy borders
with frogs:
[Exo 8:3
KJV] And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and
come into thine house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the
house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy
kneadingtroughs:
[Exo 8:4
KJV] And the frogs shall come up both on thee, and upon thy people, and upon
all thy servants.
[Exo 8:5
KJV] And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth thine hand
with thy rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause
frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt.
[Exo 8:6
KJV] And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs
came up, and covered the land of Egypt.
[Exo 8:7
KJV] And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up
frogs upon the land of Egypt.
[Exo
8:14 KJV] And they gathered them together upon heaps: and the land stank.
[2Co
2:16 KJV] To the one [we are] the savour of death unto death;
and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who [is] sufficient for
these things?
[Exo
8:18 KJV] And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth
lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and
upon beast.
It was
shown to me that three froglike spirits spread false prophecy and false gospel,
which is directly connected with the truth on the Godhead. The land of Egypt,
those in transgression of the law of God, Babylon the great, will be completely
devoid of the knowledge of God and of Christ. The people in Babylon will be so
full of lies of the false prophets that they will be savour of death unto death
having no savour of life unto life at all.
Magicians
were unable to counterfeit following plagues. This exact experience will be
copied in the end times when the plagues will be the rude awakening for
unrepented people.
I was
shown that Satan's counterfeit of the loud cry will be swallowed up by the true
loud cry of the third angel. The real one will swallow the spurious:
"I
have now presented before you in [Testimonies, Vol. 1,] the Bible language. The
rods of the magicians became serpents, but only counterfeit, yet to all human
eyes they were serpents; but as Satan cannot create, they were serpents only by
illusion; but there was nothing that appeared to distinguish them from the
serpent produced by the Lord through the agency of Moses and Aaron. The
Lord caused the living to swallow up the counterfeit, showing the advantage of
the real above the spurious. {Lt46-1889.6}
How is
this connected with the truth on the Godhead?
I have
asked God how is Satan's counterfeit of righteousness by faith –
self-righteousness – connected with the teaching on the Godhead?
God
answered me by showing me that self-righteousness is the result of rejecting
the truth on the Godhead. Only the truth on the Godhead explains how we are
atoned with God and how we are made righteous. Thus, a direct consequence of
rejecting the truth on the Godhead has to be self-righteousness, the
righteousness of the people, for only the true Godhead can make somebody
righteous by faith.
The same
applies to the righteousness by faith. Righteousness by faith is the
manifestation of faith in the true teaching on the Godhead. It cannot be
manifested if a soul did not decide to live by faith in Christ (whether the
person knows it or not). It is thus that God and Christ always precede
righteousness by faith for even the faith is a fruit of the Spirit. This is the
reason why the doctrine on the personality of God and of Christ is the most
important doctrine.
Some
hold the belief that the righteousness by faith is the most important doctrine,
but this shows that this cannot be so, for God precedes faith, therefore the
teaching on the Godhead must be the most fundamental teaching in the
Christianity.
This
proves that Laodiceans and Babylon the great have in actuality rejected the
teaching on the Godhead, since they are self-righteous people, not possessing
the white garments of Christ's righteousness. It does not matter if they
realize this or not, this is what the Word of God teaches and the Word is the
truth.
