Evidence of a Cleansing of God’s Professing Organized Church?

At the outset, I want to state that I fully believe that a true and faithful SDA church will be cleansed the very same way Jesus cleansed the apostate Jewish church in the last literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9. That is how Jesus handled apostasy problems at the Headquarters of the organized church then. There were two Jerusalem Headquarters. The disciples maintained their Headquarters in Jerusalem as well. Which Jerusalem church was cleansed and who did it? How was it cleansed? Who did the sealing? Where was the sealing done? Was apostate Jerusalem Headquarters ever cleansed? These are all important questions, because Ellen White said that the destruction of apostate Jerusalem Headquarters, the Temple, and Jerusalem city proper, were destroyed in what she called a prefigure type that was twofold, The Great Controversy, p. 25.

· The destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem city was prefigured.

· The end-time destruction of the world was prefigured.

· That destruction was the same as the Ezekiel 9 event.

· For Ezekiel 9 to literally occur again, it will have to be similar to that TYPE, or it would not be literal as Ellen White says it will be. And it will have to BEGIN AT HIS SANCTUARY, HIS CHURCH, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211.

Any member of the current professing organized church I know, believes the church militant will be cleansed to become the church triumphant. They believe that when the storm of strife and persecution comes it will shake out from that church all the chaff, all the tares and they will join fallen Babylonian churches or non-Christian churches such as the Islamic belief system. It is the objective of this document to investigate the evidence from the Bible and the Spirit of prophecy to determine if this is indeed truth.

Why SDA Don’t Sigh and Cry for All the Abominations

The Lord has shown me that the reason professing Seventh-day Adventists fail to sigh and cry for all the abominations is because of the following primary misconceptions.

They misinterpret Ellen White’s statement that if there is trouble at the heart of the work (headquarters), that God will take care of it and the noble ship by the name of the SS Laodicean will steam safely into the harbour of the heavenly Kingdom.

They misinterpret Ellen White’s statement that those who were not of us will go out from us—the misinterpreted part being a correct knowledge of who “US” is.

1. They misinterpret the Bible and Ellen White’s definition of Zion, from which, and by which sinners are shaken.

2. They misinterpret Ezekiel 22:24, and are entirely ignorant of the fact that it is part of the prefigure type of the last literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9.

3. They believe that God’s and Ellen White’s instruction that two parties (wheat and tares) will dwell together until the harvest, the end of the world, that tares include open sinning apostates who have conspired and confederated with God’s avowed enemies.

4. Based on the above misconceptions because of misinterpretations of and a lack of knowledge of all the evidence and a failure to interpret every word so that none contradicts, they don’t think sighing and crying is necessary and that all will work out in the wash, so why incur the pain, censure and the unpleasant vexation of sighing and crying for all the abominations? Worse than this, if you asked most professing Seventh-day Adventists to list all abominations for which we should be sighing and crying, they could not tell you.

5. Most SDA’s believe that one must remain in an apostate “Jerusalem church” in order to be sealed by the Man in Linen, Ezekiel 9.

6. They would mention only some superficial faults and defects such as we all have even in home churches. Indeed, some SDA preachers are on YouTube mocking and deriding the problems they have seen in home churches. And they are right in some cases because tares will exist even in home churches right to the end of the harvest.

7. Professing SDA’s do not have a clue who and what the angels are who separate the wheat from the tares.

I’m going to deal with the above seven points in principle by asking you if the following evidence is indicative that the professing, omega of apostasy, new movement, new organization SDA church is going to be cleansed by all the bad leaving it at the Sunday Law or soon thereafter as the storm of persecution increases. It will be evident to the serious student of the Word and the Spirit of Prophecy, that a lot of erroneous cherished opinions are going to have to be altered in order to interpret all the weight of evidence so that nothing contradicts as that is what the Spirit of Prophecy advocates, and tells us that this is the only way we can KNOW that are not in error.

Evidence the Tares WILL NOT be Shaken Out of New Movement Adventism

Remember as you read this part of the evidence that it must be interpreted so there will be no contradictions with any previously held concepts.

Evidence #1 Nothing will be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement:

"The enemy of souls has sought to bring in the supposition that a great reformation was to take place among Seventh-day Adventists, and that this reformation would consist in giving up the doctrines which stand as the pillars of our faith, and engaging in a process of reorganization. Were this reformation to take place, what would result? The principles of truth that God in His wisdom has given to the remnant church, would be discarded. Our religion would be changed. The fundamental principles that have sustained the work for the last fifty years would be accounted as error. A NEW ORGANIZATION would be established. Books of a NEW ORDER would be written. A system of intellectual philosophy would be introduced. The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the NEW MOVEMENT. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but GOD BEING REMOVED, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure. 

Who has authority to begin such a [NEW] movement? We have our Bibles, we have our experience, attested to by the miraculous working of the Holy Spirit. We have a truth that admits of no compromise. Shall we not repudiate everything that is not in harmony with this truth? E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk. 1, 204, 205.

Evidence #2 Ellen White said that the omega apostasy will wax stronger until Jesus comes. The entire context of the following statement is speaking of the alpha and omega apostasy:

Wax stronger "One thing it is certain is soon to be realized, the great apostasy, which is developing and increasing and waxing stronger, and will continue to do so until the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout. We are to hold fast the first principles of our denominated faith, and go forward from strength to increased faith. Ever we are to keep the faith that has been substantiated by the Holy Spirit of God from the earlier events of our experience until the present time. We need now larger breadth, and deeper, more earnest, unwavering faith in the leadings of the Holy Spirit. If we needed the manifest proof of the Holy Spirit's power to confirm truth in the beginning, after the passing of the time, we need to-day all the evidence in the confirmation of the truth, when souls are departing from the faith and giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. There must not be any languishing of soul now." (E.G. White, Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 7, p. 57).

Evidence #3 Every uncouth thing will be brought into our campmeetings just before the close of probation.

"The things you have described as taking place in Indiana, the Lord has shown me would take place just before the close of probation. Every uncouth thing will be demonstrated. There will be shouting, with drums, music, and dancing. The senses of rational beings will become so confused that they cannot be trusted to make right decisions. And this is called the moving of the Holy Spirit. 

The Holy Spirit never reveals itself in such methods, in such a bedlam of noise. This is an invention of Satan to cover up his ingenious methods for making of none effect the pure, sincere, elevating, ennobling, sanctifying truth for this time. Better never have the worship of God blended with music than to use musical instruments to do the work which last January was represented to me would be brought into our camp meetings. The truth for this time needs nothing of this kind in its work of converting souls. A bedlam of noise shocks the senses and pervert that which if conducted aright might be a blessing. The powers of satanic agencies blend with the din and noise, to have a carnival, and this is termed the Holy Spirits working." Selected Messages, Book 2, p. 36.

Does this sound like the church will be cleansed when every uncouth thing is being brought into our campmeetings just before the close of probation?

Evidence #4 Men in responsible positions take a course contrary to Nehemiah. They will urge upon their SDA members the necessity of keeping the first day of the week.

"The Lord has a controversy with his professed people in these last days. In this controversy men in responsible positions will take a course directly opposite to that pursued by Nehemiah. They will not only ignore and despise the Sabbath themselves, but they will try to keep it from others by burying it beneath the rubbish of custom and tradition. In churches and in large gatherings in the open air, ministers, will urge upon the people the necessity of keeping the first day of the week." E.G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 1, p. 405, col. 3.

Evidence #5 Evidence #5 is corroborated by the Bible to refer to Seventh-day Adventists (spiritual Jerusalem) and not Babylonian ministers. That Bible corroboration is found in Ezekiel Chapter 8. It involves about 25 leaders. The General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists has an executive committee of about 25 men. What does God’s Word say they will be doing? Remember, Ezekiel Chapter 8 gives some of the more aggravated reasons for the Ezekiel 9 destruction of JERUSALEM, not Babylon. Ezekiel 9 is also visited upon Babylon (GC 653-656), but it all begins at Jerusalem, His Sanctuary, His church (5T 211). Here is what Chapter 8 says that SDA leaders will be doing in the Temple of spiritual Jerusalem.

Ezekiel 8

¹And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me.

²Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire; and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber.

³And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.

⁴And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain.

⁵Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry.

⁶He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.

⁷And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall.

⁸Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door.

⁹And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.

¹⁰So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed upon the wall round about.

¹¹And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up.

¹²Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, the LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.

¹³He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do.

¹⁴Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.

¹⁵Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.

¹⁶And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.

¹⁷Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.

¹⁸Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them. Ezekiel 8:1-18.

· The “about five and twenty men, have their backs to the Temple and they are facing east, worshipping the sun. This symbolizes the Sunday worship that God’s professed leaders will urge upon their members at the end-time. Is this indicative of a cleansing in that new movement church which will allow NOTHING to stand in its way?

· This apostasy involves the Temple, the Sanctuary, a Jerusalem church headquarters, not stray offshoots or those who “go out from us” to join Babylon. This is speaking of Jerusalem Headquarters and no one on earth or in heaven can deny this. If Ezekiel 9 is LITERAL, as Ellen White says it is, then this must occur as a requisite cause of Ezekiel 9 slaughter of men, maidens and little children. I ask you friend, is this indicative of a cleansing of the apostate new movement, new organization SDA church? Can any sincere seeker of truth gainsay this evidence against that church? Not on your eternal life! And remember friends, you have to interpret all this evidence with your past conceptions so that NOTHING CONTRADICTS! Can you do it? Obviously, you cannot! So you are going to have to re-evaluate some long held cherished errors held by the SDA church and its members.

Evidence #6 At the time when the danger to the church is greatest, the MEMBERS are doing after the manner of the world. The time when the danger is greatest is during the greatest time of trouble—the time of the Sunday law test.

"The leaven if godliness has not entirely lost its power. At the time when the danger and depression of the church are greatest, the little company who are standing in the light will be sighing and crying for the abominations that are done in the land. But MORE ESPECIALLY will their prayers arise in behalf of the church because ITS MEMBERS are doing after the manner of the world." Testimonies, vol. 5, 209, 210.

· Ellen White and God’s Word says we are to sigh and cry for all the abominations done within the midsts OF THE CHURCH, JERUSALEM. So this statement IS NOT speaking of any Babylonian churches, which the context of the statement will prove.

· There is a little company who are obviously NOT MEMBERS, standing in the light. But the MEMBERS are doing after the manner of the world. What is the context of this chapter in Testimonies, Vol. 5. Here is the context from the beginning of the chapter on page 207. As you read this chapter from Testimonies, Vol. 5, beginning on page 207, will you ask yourself whether or not you think the MEMBERS OF THIS CHURCH WILL BE SEALED IN AND BY THAT “JERUSALEM” CHURCH? Ellen White begins quoting Ezekiel 9. That is the context of the entire chapter. Remember that there are Two Jerusalem’s represented in this chapter. There is a small company standing in the light—TRUE JERUSALEM, and there is apostate Jerusalem doing after the manner of the world.

Chap. 24 - The Seal of God

"He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand." {5T 207.2}

And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side; and the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house." {5T 207.3}

Jesus is about to leave the mercy seat of the heavenly

sanctuary to put on garments of vengeance and pour out His wrath in judgments upon those who have not responded to the light God has given them. "Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil." Instead of being softened by the patience and long forbearance that the Lord has exercised toward them, those who fear not God and love not the truth strengthen their hearts in their evil course. But there are limits even to the forbearance of God, and many are exceeding these boundaries. They have overrun the limits of grace, and therefore God must interfere and vindicate His own honor. {5T 207.4}

Of the Amorites the Lord said: "In the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full." Although this nation was conspicuous because of its idolatry and corruption, it had not yet filled up the cup of its iniquity, and God would not give command for its utter destruction. The people were to see the divine power manifested in a marked manner, that they might be left without excuse. The compassionate Creator was willing to bear with their iniquity until the fourth generation. Then, if no change was seen for the better, His judgments were to fall upon them. {5T 208.1}

Ron’s Commentary: We are past the fourth generation of Adventism and Ellen White indicted us as being Laodicean in 1856. She said that if the church became/remained Laodicean, it would not be favoured of God any more than fallen Babylon. The church is still Laodicean and even teaching that Laodicea goes through when Ellen White said Laodicea is the foolish virgin state of the church. So in all actuality, SDA church leaders are saying the foolish virgins are saved. End note.

With unerring accuracy the Infinite One still keeps an account with all nations. While His mercy is tendered with calls to repentance, this account will remain open; but when the figures reach a certain amount which God has fixed, the ministry of His wrath commences. The account is closed. Divine patience ceases. There is no more pleading of mercy in their behalf. {5T 208.2}

The prophet, looking down the ages, had this time presented before his vision. The nations of this age have been the recipients of unprecedented mercies. The choicest of heaven's blessings have been given them, but increased pride, covetousness, idolatry, contempt of God, and base ingratitude are written

against them. They are fast closing up their account with God. {5T 208.3}

But that which causes me to tremble is the fact that those who have had the greatest light and privileges have become contaminated by the prevailing iniquity. Influenced by the unrighteous around them, many, even of those who profess the truth, have grown cold and are borne down by the strong current of evil. The universal scorn thrown upon true piety and holiness leads those who do not connect closely with God to lose their reverence for His law. If they were following the light and obeying the truth from the heart, this holy law would seem even more precious to them when thus despised and set aside. As the disrespect for God's law becomes more manifest, the line of demarcation between its observers and the world becomes more distinct. Love for the divine precepts increases with one class according as contempt for them increases with another class. {5T 209.1}

The crisis is fast approaching. The rapidly swelling figures show that the time for God's visitation has about come. Although loath to punish, nevertheless He will punish, and that speedily. Those who walk in the light will see signs of the approaching peril; but they are not to sit in quiet, unconcerned expectancy of the ruin, comforting themselves with the belief that God will shelter His people in the day of visitation. Far from it. They should realize that it is their duty to labor diligently to save others, looking with strong faith to God for help. "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." {5T 209.2}

Ron’s Commentary: Is that not exactly what most SDA’s are doing—comforting themselves with the belief that God will shelter HIS PEOPLE in the day of visitation. Ellen White says FAR FROM IT! That should agitate a change in any bigoted peace and safety comfort on the part of any Seventh-day Adventist! End note.

The leaven of godliness has not entirely lost its power. At the time when the danger and depression of the church are greatest, the little company who are standing in the light will be sighing and crying for the abominations that are done in the land. But more especially will their prayers arise in behalf

of the church because its members are doing after the manner of the world. {5T 209.3}

The earnest prayers of this faithful few will not be in vain. When the Lord comes forth as an avenger, He will also come as a protector of all those who have preserved the faith in its purity and kept themselves unspotted from the world. It is at this time that God has promised to avenge His own elect which cry day and night unto Him, though He bear long with them. {5T 210.1}

Ron’s Commentary: Obviously, the church triumphant is the little company who are not members of the church, or they would be doing after the manner of the world as well.

The command is: "Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof." These sighing, crying ones had been holding forth the words of life; they had reproved, counseled, and entreated. Some who had been dishonoring God repented and humbled their hearts before Him. But the glory of the Lord had departed from Israel; although many still continued the forms of religion, His power and presence were lacking. {5T 210.2}

Ron’s Commentary: Is the little company standing in the light TRUE JERUSALEM? Is the church doing after the manner of the world APOSTATE JERUSALEM? Are there two Jerusalem’s just as in the prefigure of the apostasy of Israel? Yes indeed. End note.

In the time when His wrath shall go forth in judgments, these humble, devoted followers of Christ will be distinguished from the rest of the world by their soul anguish, which is expressed in lamentation and weeping, reproofs and warnings. While others try to throw a cloak over the existing evil, and excuse the great wickedness everywhere prevalent, those who have a zeal for God's honor and a love for souls will not hold their peace to obtain favor of any. Their righteous souls are vexed day by day with the unholy works and conversation of the unrighteous. They are powerless to stop the rushing torrent of iniquity, and hence they are filled with grief and alarm. They mourn before God to see religion despised in the very homes of those who have had great light. They lament and afflict their souls because pride, avarice, selfishness, and deception of almost every kind are in the church. The Spirit

of God, which prompts to reproof, is trampled underfoot, while the servants of Satan triumph. God is dishonored, the truth made of none effect. {5T 210.3}

The class who do not feel grieved over their own spiritual declension, nor mourn over the sins of others, will be left without the seal of God. The Lord commissions His messengers, the men with slaughtering weapons in their hands: "Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house." {5T 211.1}

Here we see that the church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus "Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together. {5T 211.2}

Ron’s Commentary: I included the entire chapter for the HUGHLY IMPORTANT CONTEXT OF THE TIME-FRAME—“THE TIME WHEN THE DANGER TO THE CHRUCH IS GREATEST.” That is after the Sunday Law. Ellen White reapplies Matthew 22:1-10 to the end-time. She is saying above that the Lord’s Sanctuary, His church, will experience Ezekiel 9 slaughter during the time when its danger is greatest, the time of the National Sunday Law. That is the context! And Matthew 22:7 further corroborates this sequence by saying the murderous city (Jerusalem) is destroyed before the final loud cry to the world. Verse 7 is none other than Ezekiel 9 destruction, the prefigure type of which was A.D. 27-70. Why begin the time at A.D. 27? Because that is when Jesus first gathered out those who would take the loud cry gospel to the world. DA 232. Ellen White reapplies Matthew 22:1-10, to the end-time, in Sermons and Talks, Vol. 2, pp. 4-9 as correctly she should, because verse 7 is Ezekiel 9 destruction which she says will be LITERAL. This is all strictly contingent on any LITERAL fulfillment of Ezekiel 9.

The disciples were prepared for seven years before the Daniel 9 490 years close of probation for Israel to put away sin which ended in A.D. 34. Then the disciples commenced the two calls of Matthew 22:1-10. Before the final call to the world, the Temple and Jerusalem were destroyed in A.D. 70—Matthew 22:7. This is all part and parcel of the PREFIGURE TYPE of Ezekiel 9, which is literally re-fulfilled at the end of time. End note by Ron.

“The abominations for which the faithful ones were sighing and crying were all that could be discerned by finite eyes, but by far the worst sins, those which provoked the jealousy of the pure and holy God, were unrevealed. The great Searcher of hearts knoweth every sin committed in secret by the workers of iniquity. These persons come to feel secure in their deceptions and, because of His long-suffering, say that the Lord

seeth not, and then act as though He had forsaken the earth. But He will detect their hypocrisy and will open before others those sins which they were so careful to hide. {5T 211.3}

Ron’s Commentary: We don’t know the worst sins. But the Lord has revealed to me that the “about 25” men are directly and indirectly involved with the secret societies and their demonic practices. When they support the councils of Satan’s Synagogue, the WCC (which is led by ancient arts practising Free Masons) and its subsidiary organizations, which include non-Christian religions, they are financing all the evils mentioned in Ezekiel chapter 8. From what the Lord has revealed to me on this, you can take that to the bank of heaven! But you don’t have to believe me. Believe God in Ezekiel Chapter 8! End note.

No superiority of rank, dignity, or worldly wisdom, no position in sacred office, will preserve men from sacrificing principle when left to their own deceitful hearts. Those who have been regarded as worthy and righteous prove to be ring-leaders in apostasy and examples in indifference and in the abuse of God's mercies. Their wicked course He will tolerate no longer, and in His wrath He deals with them without mercy. {5T 212.1}

Ron’s Commentary: I have said the leaders were ring leader culprits in the apostasy, and there it is from the Spirit of Prophecy! Those thought to be worthy and righteous are wicked. End note.

It is with reluctance that the Lord withdraws His presence from those who have been blessed with great light and who have felt the power of the word in ministering to others. They were once His faithful servants, favored with His presence and guidance; but they departed from Him and led others into error, and therefore are brought under the divine displeasure. {5T 212.2}

Ron’s Commentary: When there FIRST is a departing from God, it is THEN He withdraws His presence from those who have departed from Him. This is proof-perfect that many folk are thus misinterpreting Ellen White’s statement that God does not withdraw His presence from His church, His people! The qualifying words are HIS CHURCH, HIS PEOPLE. But who are HIS CHURCH, HIS PEPLE in the context of this chapter? The little company standing in the light who are NOT MEMBERS of a church that is doing after the manner of the world. End note

The day of God's vengeance is just upon us. The seal of God will be placed upon the foreheads of those only who sigh and cry for the abominations done in the land. Those who link in sympathy with the world are eating and drinking with the drunken and will surely be destroyed with the workers of iniquity. "The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and His ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil." {5T 212.3}

Ron’s Commentary: I have pictures of high placed SDA officials, eating and drinking with the drunken (Babylonians). Some of them have been speakers at the General Conference World Session, which is supposed to be the voice of God to the church. We were to come out from Babylon to be a holy, separate, peculiar people unto God. End note.

Our own course of action will determine whether we shall receive the seal of the living God or be cut down by the destroying weapons. Already a few drops of God's wrath have fallen upon the earth; but when the seven last plagues shall be poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation, then it will be forever too late to repent and find shelter. No atoning blood will then wash away the stains of sin. {5T 212.4}

Ron’s Commentary: It is our own course of action that determines whether we shall receive the seal of the living God, the Man in Linen, NOT BEING A MEMBER OF AN APOSTATE JERUSALEM, AS SOME SDA’S ARE SATANICALLY TEACHING.

How could anyone be sealed within an apostate Jerusalem from when Christ’s presence had been withdrawn? Remember, God does withdraw His presence from those who depart from Him.

“It is with reluctance that the Lord withdraws His presence from those who have been blessed with great light and who have felt the power of the word in ministering to others. They were once His faithful servants, favored with His presence and guidance; but they departed from Him and led others into error, and therefore are brought under the divine displeasure. {5T 212.2}

which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written in the book." When this time of trouble comes, every case is decided; there is no longer probation, no longer mercy for the impenitent. The seal of the living God is upon His people. This small remnant, unable to defend themselves in the deadly conflict with the powers of earth that are marshaled by the dragon host, make God their defense. The decree has been passed by the highest earthly authority that they shall worship the beast and receive his mark under pain of persecution and death. May God help His people now, for what can they then do in such a fearful conflict without His assistance! {5T 212.5}

Ron’s Commentary: Again, by way of reminder, this is the time (IN CONTEXT) when the church is in the greatest danger—after the Sunday Law, the time of trouble. End note.

Courage, fortitude, faith, and implicit trust in God's power to save do not come in a moment. These heavenly graces are acquired by the experience of years. By a life of holy endeavor and firm adherence to the right the children of God were sealing their destiny. Beset with temptations without number, they knew they must resist firmly or be conquered. They felt that they had a great work to do, and at any hour they might be called to lay off their armor; and should they come to the close of life with their work undone, it would be an eternal loss. They eagerly accepted the light from heaven, as did the first disciples from the lips of Jesus. When those early Christians were exiled to mountains and deserts, when left in dungeons to die with hunger, cold, and torture, when martyrdom seemed the only way out of their distress, they rejoiced that they were counted worthy to suffer for Christ, who was crucified for them. Their worthy example will be a comfort and encouragement to the people of God who will be brought into the time of trouble such as never was. {5T 213.1}

Ron’s Commentary: “Courage, fortitude, faith, and implicit trust in God's power to save do not come in a moment.” This is why the apostate church will not be cleansed during the time of trouble after the Sunday Law. And if it was cleansed, Ezekiel 9 would not literally begin AT HIS LITERAL SANCTUARY, HIS LITERAL CHURCH just as it began at a LITERAL Temple in the prefigure (type). Like type, like antitype. Not all who profess to keep the Sabbath will be sealed.

There are many even among those who teach the truth to others who will not receive the seal of God in their foreheads. They had the light of truth, they knew their Master's will, they understood every point of our faith, but they had not corresponding works. These who were so familiar with prophecy and the treasures of divine wisdom should have acted their faith. They should have commanded their households after them, that by a well-ordered family they might present to the world the influence of the truth upon the human heart. {5T 213.2}

By their lack of devotion and piety, and their failure to reach a high religious standard, they make other souls contented with their position. Men of finite judgment cannot see that in patterning after these men who have so often opened to them the treasures of God's word, they will surely endanger their souls. Jesus is the only true pattern. Everyone must now search the Bible for himself upon his knees before God, with the humble, teachable heart of a child, if he would know what the Lord requires of him. However high any minister may have stood in the favor of God, if he neglects to follow out the light given him of God, if he refuses to be taught as a little child, he will go into darkness and satanic delusions and will lead others in the same path. {5T 214.1}

Ron’s Commentary: This “influence factor” demonstrates the high danger of wrongful influence of being joined to a harlot church. This is why there have been separations from apostate churches in every succeeding generation, DA 232. Some think that we can dwell with the apostates in the same church but that we can avoid their influence by not associating with them. That is very difficult when the ministers are supporting leaders who are ring-leaders in the apostasy. But even if we could refrain from socializing with the apostates to the point of not being negatively influenced by them, if we are MEMBERS of an apostate church harbouring open sin, we are held responsible for the evils in the church whether or not we directly associate with the apostates who directly commit the evil. That is why God says that those who are joined to a harlot are ONE WITH HER. That is why we must separate from an open sinning apostate church. And all who refuse to do so will be REFUSING ONE OF THE CONDITIONS FOR EZEKIEL 9 SEALING.

"There are fearful woes for those who preach the truth, but are not sanctified by it, and also for those who consent to receive and maintain the unsanctified to minister to them in word and doctrine." Testimonies, vol. 1, p 261-62.

"The names of those who sin and refuse to repent should not be retained on the church books, lest the saints be held accountable for their evil deeds. Those who pursue a course of transgression should be visited and labored with, and if they then refuse to repent, they should be separated from church fellowship, in accordance with the rules laid down in the Word of God." {11MR 208.3}

"The plain straight testimony must live in the church, or the curse of God will rest upon His people as surely as it did upon ancient Israel because of their sins. God holds His people, as a body [corporately], responsible for the sins existing in individuals among them." Testimonies, vol. 3, p. 269.

Not one of us will ever receive the seal of God while our characters have one spot or stain upon them. It is left with us to remedy the defects in our characters, to cleanse the soul temple of every defilement. Then the latter rain will fall upon us as the early rain fell upon the disciples on the Day of Pentecost. {5T 214.2}

We are too easily satisfied with our attainments. We feel rich and increased with goods and know not that we are "wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked." Now is the time to heed the admonition of the True Witness: "I counsel thee to buy of Me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be

clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see." {5T 214.3}

In this life we must meet fiery trials and make costly sacrifices, but the peace of Christ is the reward. There has been so little self-denial, so little suffering for Christ's sake, that the cross is almost entirely forgotten. We must be partakers with Christ of His sufferings if we would sit down in triumph with Him on His throne. So long as we choose the easy path of self-indulgence and are frightened at self-denial, our faith will never become firm, and we cannot know the peace of Jesus nor the joy that comes through conscious victory. The most exalted of the redeemed host that stand before the throne of God and the Lamb, clad in white, know the conflict of overcoming, for they have come up through great tribulation. Those who have yielded to circumstances rather than engage in this conflict will not know how to stand in that day when anguish will be upon every soul, when, though Noah, Job, and Daniel were in the land, they could save neither son nor daughter, for everyone must deliver his soul by his own righteousness. {5T 215.1}

Ron’s Commentary: Obviously, the omega of apostasy new movement/new organization church has yielded to circumstances rather than engage in the conflict of repudiating the abominations in the church for which we must sigh and cry as a condition to being sealed. So it is a total contradiction, a total oxymoron, to say that one must remain in such a church from whence the Spirit has removed, because it withdrew from God. And it is a total contradiction to say this church that has yielded to apostasy will know how to stand in that day when anguish will be upon every soul—the time of trouble. End note.

No one need say that his case is hopeless, that he cannot live the life of a Christian. Ample provision is made by the death of Christ for every soul. Jesus is our ever-present help in time of need. Only call upon Him in faith, and He has promised to hear and answer your petitions. {5T 215.2}

Oh, for a living, active faith! We need it; we must have it, or we shall faint and fail in the day of trial. The darkness that will then rest upon our path must not discourage us or drive us to despair. It is the veil with which God covers His glory when He comes to impart rich blessings. We should know this by our past experience. In that day when God has a controversy with His people this experience will be a source of comfort and hope. {5T 215.3}

It is now that we must keep ourselves and our children unspotted from the world. It is now that we must wash our robes

of character and make them white in the blood of the Lamb. It is now that we must overcome pride, passion, and spiritual slothfulness. It is now that we must awake and make determined effort for symmetry of character. "Today if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts." We are in a most trying position, waiting, watching for our Lord's appearing. The world is in darkness. "But ye, brethren," says Paul, "are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief." It is ever God's purpose to bring light out of darkness, joy out of sorrow, and rest out of weariness for the waiting, longing soul. {5T 215.4}

What are you doing, brethren, in the great work of preparation? Those who are uniting with the world are receiving the worldly mold and preparing for the mark of the beast. Those who are distrustful of self, who are humbling themselves before God and purifying their souls by obeying the truth these are receiving the heavenly mold and preparing for the seal of God in their foreheads. When the decree goes forth and the stamp is impressed, their character will remain pure and spotless for eternity. {5T 216.1}

Ron’s Commentary: It will be too late to get oil in our lamps when the decree goes forth! Oil represents character and character takes time to develop. That is why character is not transferable and we cannot thus give our oil (character) to anyone else. End note.

Now is the time to prepare. The seal of God will never be placed upon the forehead of an impure man or woman. It will never be placed upon the forehead of the ambitious, world-loving man or woman. It will never be placed upon the forehead of men or women of false tongues or deceitful hearts. All who receive the seal must be without spot before God--candidates for heaven. Go forward, my brethren and sisters. I can only write briefly upon these points at this time, merely calling your attention to the necessity of preparation. Search the Scriptures for yourselves, that you may understand the fearful solemnity of the present hour.” {5T 216.2} End of Chapter 24, The Seal of God based on Ezekiel 9.

Evidence #7 The following statement is part of the above statement as well. It says IN CONTEXT, that at the time when the danger and depression of the church, spiritual Jerusalem, is greatest, the time of the Sunday law, at which time the Loud Cry and manifestation of the Holy Spirit is supposed to be working, the little company standing in the light (true Spiritual Jerusalem) is lamenting and afflicting their souls! Why? Because pride, avarice, selfishness, and deception of almost EVERY KIND are in the church. What?! Yes, this is the state of the church when its danger is greatest—after the Sunday law has ensued. Does it sound like it is this church that is cleansed? Does it sound like the Sunday law persecution has shaken out the tares, the chaff, the dross?

“They are powerless to stop the rushing torrent of iniquity, and hence they are filled with grief and alarm. They mourn before God to see religion despised in the very homes of those who have had great light. They lament and afflict their souls because pride, avarice, selfishness, and deception of almost every kind are in the church. The Spirit

of God, which prompts to reproof, is trampled underfoot, while the servants of Satan triumph. God is dishonored, the truth made of none effect.” {5T 210.3}

So the Spirit of God is not then in the church. It is trampled underfoot while the servants of Satan triumph. The new movement, new organization, is triumphant insofar as Satan’s Synagogue triumphs at that time.

Evidence #8 In The Bible, a generation is 40 years. The professing SDA church has run past the fourth generation. It has been 167 years from 1844, and the revelation of the three angel’s messages. Ellen White said Christ is willing to bear the iniquity until the fourth generation. Do you believe her. But it gets even more serious when we learn from Jeremiah 11:9-15, that the Jews of Jeremiah’s GENERATION, closed their probation IN ONE GENERATION by the acts of apostasy defined within those verses. I have proven in other documents that SDA’s committed those very sins from the mid 1950’s and on, via strictly forbidden conspiracy/confederation with fallen Babylon. So they do not qualify for a full 160 years of four generations of probation any more than the generation Jews Jeremiah 11 refers to.

How many generations did Korah and company have to repent of their apostasy? How many generations did those who did not repent at the gold calf incident have? The answer is that all who would not repent of the heinous sins at the time were killed—about 14,000 involving Korah and company and about 3,000 in the golden calf incident. And the most serious question of all: HOW MANY GENERATIONS DO YOU AND I HAVE IF WE SHOULD DIE TODAY?

“Of the Amorites the Lord said: ‘In the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.’ Although this nation was conspicuous because of its idolatry and corruption, it had not yet filled up the cup of its iniquity, and God would not give command for its utter destruction. The people were to see the divine power manifested in a marked manner, that they might be left without excuse. The compassionate Creator was willing to bear with their iniquity until the fourth generation. Then, if no change was seen for the better, His judgments were to fall upon them.” {5T 208.1}

Corporate responsibility: “For more than a thousand years the Jewish nation had abused God’s mercy and invited His judgments. They had rejected His warnings and mercy and invited His judgments. They had rejected His warnings and slain His prophets. For these sins the people of Christ’s day made themselves responsible by following the same course. In the rejection of their present mercies and warnings lay the guilt of that generation. The fetters which the nation had for centuries been forging, the people of Christ’s day were fastening upon themselves.” Desire of Ages, 586-7.

“The children were not condemned for the sins of the parents; but when, with a knowledge of all the light given to their parents, the children rejected the additional light granted to themselves, they became partakers of the parents' sins, and filled up the measure of their iniquity.” The Great Controversy, p. 28.

Mat 23:35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

Evidence #9: Ellen White’s prophecy that Ezekiel 9 would have another literal fulfillment, and that the last literal Ezekiel 9 fulfillment in A.D. 70 was a prefigure type of the final end-time fulfillment. In that TYPICAL fulfillment of Ezekiel, a literal Temple (His Sanctuary—His Church) was destroyed. This precludes the erroneous personal opinions of many SDA that only stray offshoots and the tares will be involved in the Ezekiel 9 slaughter. It must begin at His “Jerusalem” Sanctuary, His Church, the House of Jacob in order to be a literal fulfillment.

"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling will YOU hear? Will YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley, September 26, 1909.)" E. G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260.

“The time will soon come when the prophecy of Ezekiel 9 will be fulfilled; that prophecy should be carefully studied, for it will be fulfilled to the very letter.”— Ellen G. White 1888 Materials, p. 1303.

In order to be fulfilled TO THE VERY LETTER, Ezekiel 9 must occur just as it did literally from A.D. 27-70 in its typical fulfillment.

The Signs of the Times, February 12, 1880: “The desolation of Jerusalem stands as a solemn warning before the eyes of modern Israel.”

“The desolation of Jerusalem in the days of Jeremiah is a solemn warning to modern Israel, that the counsels and admonitions given them through chosen instrumentalities cannot be disregarded with impunity.” Prophets and Kings, 416.

Begin at My Sanctuary -- "Here we see that the church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus 'Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211.

Evidence #10 God’s Word depicts exactly what happened in the A.D. 70 destruction of Jerusalem, Ezekiel 22:24. It says that not one faithful man was found there. Every faithful Christian had joined the disciples from A.D. 34-66, at which time they fled to the valley Pella, in the land of Pearea, which was surrounded by mountains.

“For seven years a man continued to go up and down the streets of Jerusalem, declaring the woes that were to come upon the city. By day and by night he chanted the wild dirge, "A voice from the east; a voice from the west; a voice from the four winds; a voice against Jerusalem and the temple; a voice against the bridegroom and the bride; and a voice against all the people." This strange being was imprisoned and scourged; but no complaint escaped his lips. To insult and abuse he answered only, "Woe to Jerusalem! woe, woe to the inhabitants thereof!" His warning cry ceased not until he was slain in the siege he had foretold. {4SP 31.3}

The man cited above proved that it is not enough to merely sigh and cry for the abominations and the woes they will bring upon the bloody, murderous city, apostate Jerusalem. All the faithful separated from affiliation with the apostate Temple at Jerusalem. They were marked and saved, and separation from the prevailing apostasy was a condition to their being saved. They must separated and follow Jesus rather than a religion of forms and ceremonies.

“Christ was a protestant. He protested against the formal worship of the Jewish nation, who rejected the counsel of God against themselves. He told them that they taught for doctrines the commandments of men, and that they were pretenders and hypocrites. Like whited sepulchers they were beautiful without, but within full of impurity and corruption. The Reformers date back to Christ and the apostles. They came out and separated themselves from a religion of forms and ceremonies. Luther and his followers did not invent the reformed religion. They simply accepted it as presented by Christ and the apostles. The Bible is presented to us as a sufficient guide; but the pope and his workers remove it from the people as if it were a curse, because it exposes their pretensions and rebukes their idolatry. {RH, June 1, 1886 par. 14}

“Not one Christian perished in the destruction of Jerusalem. Christ had given his disciples warning, and all who believed his words watched for the promised sign. After the Romans had surrounded the city, they unexpectedly withdrew their forces, at a time when everything seemed favorable for an immediate attack. In the providence of God the promised signal was thus given to the waiting Christians, and without a moment's delay they fled to a place of safety,--the refuge city Pella, in the land of Perea, beyond Jordan.” {4SP 32.1}

Evidence 11: Any future literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 that is fulfilled TO THE LETTER, must include the history of the last Ezekiel 9 manifestation as depicted in Ezekiel 22:17-31. God says therein in verse 24 that Jerusalem (in context) is the land that is not cleansed and rained upon with the latter rain Holy Spirit. These verses given some more of the serious reasons as to why Ezekiel 9 will be fulfilled to the letter (literally) beginning at His Sanctuary, His church, the professing SDA church new movement, new organization.

¹⁷And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

¹⁸Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver.

¹⁹Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.

²⁰As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you.

²¹Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.

²²As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out my fury upon you.

²³And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

²⁴Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.

²⁵There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.

²⁶Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

²⁷Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.

²⁸And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.

²⁹The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.

³⁰And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

³¹Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 22:17-31.

Evidence #12: In the foregoing points of evidence, you have read some of the reasons why the professing SDA church will not be cleansed and rained upon with the Latter Rain Holy Spirit, but will rather experience Ezekiel 9 slaughter and destruction. This destruction is depicted in Ezekiel Chapter 5 as well.

Ellen White clearly prophesied the fate of the professing SDA church in the following statement. Ignore it and scorn it at your own risk of losing eternal life:

"Jesus sends HIS PEOPLE a message of warning to prepare them for his coming. To the prophet John was made known the closing work in the great plan of man's redemption. He beheld an angel flying 'in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him for the hour of his Judgment is come and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters [Rev. 14:6, 7.].

The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message,  symbolizes a class of faithful men, who, obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth. This message was not to be committed to the religious leaders of the people. They had failed to preserve their connection with God, and had REFUSED THE LIGHT FROM HEAVEN therefore they WERE NOT of the number described by the apostle Paul: 'But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day we are not of the night nor of darkness' [1 Thess. 5:4, 5]. 

The watchmen upon the walls of Zion should be the first to catch the tidings of the Saviour's advent, the first to lift their voices to proclaim him near, the first to warn the people to prepare for his coming. But they were at ease, dreaming of peace and safety, while the people were asleep in their sins. Jesus saw HIS CHURCH, like the barren fig-tree, covered with pretentious leaves, yet destitute of precious fruit. There was a boastful observance of the forms of religion, while the spirit of true humility, penitence and faith--which alone could render the service acceptable to God--was lacking. Instead of the graces of the Spirit, there were manifested pride, formalism, vainglory, selfishness, oppression. A BACKSLIDING CHURCH closed their eyes to the signs of the times. God did nor forsake them, or suffer his faithfulness to fail but they departed from him, and SEPARATED THEMSELVES from his love. As they REFUSED TO COMPLY WITH THE CONDITIONS, his promises were NOT FULFILLED to them."  E.G. White, The Spirit of Prophecy, Vol. 4, pp. 199-200 [The 1884 edition of The Great Controversy, 199, 200].

I challenge every professing Seventh-day Adventist to send this document to your favorite leader in the denomination and ask him/her to take each of these points and disprove them. I say it is impossible, but if you will send me their rebuttal, I will publish such on my Website, and that is a promise. Try me!

They will merely tell you not to pay any attention to me. That is what errant, apostate leaders and their sheeple devotees always say. They won’t try to prove me wrong point by point, because it is impossible to do so.

To bring this issue full circle, when Ellen White and John spoke of those who go out from us, John sure did not mean the apostate church of His day, and Ellen White did not mean the apostate SDA church of the end-time. She was referring to Zion, the little company standing in the light that was not in membership with the church whose MEMBERS WILL BE DOING AFTER THE MANNER OF THE WORLD. Whenever Ellen White speaks of some being shaken out, she means out of the truth, the faith, and every thing you have just read screams the truth of that fact to any reasonable mind. And if you don’t believe this, try to harmonize her misinterpreted statements with all of the above so that nothing contradicts. You will not succeed!
