Should we Trust in Hearsay Statements by Willie White?

Dear Reader,

I copied the following statements in the 1980's from Dr. Rue's monthly paper called The Layworker. Dr. Rue (now deceased), had access to private items never released by the White Estate. So did Gar Baybrook of Leaves of Autumn Books. Gar purchased the Spalding Magan Unpublished Testimonies series from an estate. The SDA General Conference talked him into giving the series to them. They promised him that they would reproduce them without editing anything out. He told me over the phone that they did not do as they told him and that there was much more serious and weighty evidence among those mateials than is presented today. He expressed regret for having handed them over to the GC.

Dr. Rue was a man of highest integrity and so is Gar Baybrook. Dr. Rue deceased in the 1980's. Some of the following statements cannot now be found in the references Dr. Rue gave. Either he made a mistake in recording the references, and/or the G.C. has ommitted them as available to the general public. If anyone can corroborate the following statements as existing in the 1980s, I would appreciate hearing from you.

"...my son Willie may be lost." E.G. White, Manuscript Release, 127.

"Many times I have come to things in the Testimonies, as also in the Bible, that I do not understand, that I could not explain and harmonize...many of the testimonies I do not understand. In many cases if I were commissioned to use any discretion in the matter, I would not send them out." Willie White, Spaulding-Magan Collection, Health Research Edition, p. 469.

"There are some thing in connection with the Testimonies, and the opposition to them, that have been more trials to me and in times of great perplexity--I have thrown myself on my face before God in agony of soul and said, 'O God, why didst thou choose my mother to be the instrument for this work?" Willie White, Spaulding-Magan Collection, Health Research Edition, p. 469.

"Mother, you often speak of matters being revealed to you in the night season. You speak of dreams in which light comes to you. We all have dreams. How do you know that God is speaking to you in the dreams of which you so frequently speak?" Willie White, Voice of Prophecy Treasure Chest," P. 21.
