I
want to share with the sincere seekers after truth the most compelling
statements of assurance to the true reformer separatists so they can know for
sure that they are correct in their stance. This assurance from the Spirit of
Prophecy will avail to stop the most ardent of the anti-separationists in
their tracks. Here are those precious assurance statements from the pen of
inspiration to us: "Christ has plainly taught that
those who persist in open sin must
be separated from the church..." E. G. White, Christ's
Object Lessons, 71. What
is the proper course when apostasy is in the church and/or the church is in
apostasy and the church refuses to reform and/or remove the apostasy? "Even though you may not be able to speak a
word to those who are working on wrong principles, leave them. Your
withdrawal and silence may do more than words. Nehemiah refused to
associate with those who were untrue to principle,
and he would not permit his workmen to associate with them. The love and fear
of God were his safeguard-Dare to be a Daniel, Dare to stand alone.
Thus as did Moses, you will endure the seeing of Him who is invisible. But
a cowardly and silent reserve before evil associates, while you listen to
their devices makes you one with them. Come out from among them and be
separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive
you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters,
saith the Lord Almighty." Review & Herald Vol. 4, p.
42. Fear and Shun "'They that forsake the law praise the
wicked.' Proverbs 28:4. When those who are uniting with the world, yet
claiming great purity, plead for union with those who have ever been the
opposers of the cause of truth, we should fear and shun them as decidedly as
did Nehemiah. Such counsel is prompted by the enemy of all good. It is the
speech of timeservers, and should be resisted as resolutely today as then.
Whatever influence would tend to unsettle the faith of God's people in His
guiding power, should be steadfastly withstood." E.G. White, Prophets and Kings, p.
660. What happens to those who will
not leave a church that is working on wrong principles? Why must we leave
them? "It is IMPOSSIBLE for you to unite with those who are corrupt, and still remain pure. (II Corinthians 6:14-15 quoted). God and Christ and the heavenly host would have men know that if he unites with the corrupt he will become corrupt." E. G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 4, p. 137. "The plain straight testimony must live in the church, or the curse of God will rest upon His people as surely as it did upon ancient Israel because of their sins. God holds His people, as a body [corporately], responsible for the sins existing in individuals among them." Testimonies, vol. 3, p. 269. "The names of those who sin and
refuse to repent should not be retained on the church books, lest the saints be held accountable for their evil
deeds. Those who pursue a course of transgression should be visited and
labored with, and if they then refuse to repent,
they should be separated from church fellowship, in accordance with the rules
laid down in the Word of God." {11MR 208.3} The truths of the above
statement is why there has been a separation from churches in every
succeeding generation. Notice the only reason given for separation in the
following statement: "The Sanhedrin had rejected
Christ's message and was bent upon His death therefore Jesus departed from Jerusalem, from the priests, the temple,
the religious leaders, the people who had been instructed in the law, and
turned to another class to proclaim His message, and to gather out those who
should carry the gospel to all nations.
As the light and life of men was
rejected by the ecclesiastical authorities in the days of Christ, so it has
been rejected in every succeeding generation. Again and again the history of
Christ's withdrawal from Judea has been repeated. When the Reformers preached
the word of God, they had no thought of separating themselves from the
established church but the religious
leaders would not tolerate the light, and those that bore it were forced to
seek another class, who were longing for the truth. In our day few of the professed followers of the Reformers
are actuated by their spirit. Few are listening for the voice of God, and
ready to accept truth in whatever guise it may be presented. Often those who follow in the steps of the Reformers are
forced to turn away from the churches they love, in order to declare the
plain teaching of the word of God. And many times those who are seeking for
light are by the same teaching obliged to leave the church of their fathers, that
they may render obedience." E.G. White, Desire of Ages, 232. Because light has been rejected by
various ecclesiastical leaders in every succeeding generation, true reformers
of every succeeding generation have been forced to leave the church(es) they
loved in order to declare the plain teaching of the word of God. The leaders
of their beloved church(es) would not tolerate the light of truth. I ask you friend, will the leaders
of new movement, new organization Adventism tolerate the light of truth? Ellen
White said they will allow nothing to stand in their way. And their way is
according to the following omega apostasies. Every member of the SDA new
movement church is accountable for the following apostasies. The only
possible way to not be held corporately responsible is to leave, just as
Jesus and His followers did in the last prefigure fulfillment of Ezekiel 9,
A.D. 27-70. This is the reason true reformers have left the churches of their
fathers in every succeeding generation. "The names of those who sin and
refuse to repent should not be retained on the church books, lest the saints be held accountable for their evil deeds. Those who pursue a
course of transgression should be visited and labored with, and if they then refuse to repent, they should be separated
from church fellowship, in accordance with the rules laid down in the Word of
God." {11MR
208.3} Apostasy Abomination #1:
It is necessary that I restate this abomination of all abominations. There
was a changing of the pioneer position on the Godhead, to adopt Rome’s
Central Doctrine, The Trinity Doctrine, which sweeps away the Heavenly
Sanctuary Atonement whereby the Son divested His humanity personality from
His former of His Holy Spirit Divine Nature, so that a third person THEN came
into existence. That Third Person was Jesus combined with humanity forever.
That sacrifice is the highest good, crowning gift, that heaven can bestow.
That sacrifice made possible the gift of the soul of His former life (being),
His Holy Spirit Divine Nature as a gift to us for regenerating man back into
the image of God. That gift provides the empowerment to overcome so we can be
restored to our original image of God. George
Knight, Andrews University Seminary Theology Professor made the following
statement in Ministry, the official Seventh-day Adventist journal for
ministers: "Most
of the founders of Seventh-day Adventism would not be able to join the church
today if they had to subscribe to the denomination's Fundamental Beliefs.
More specifically, most would not be able to agree to belief number 2, which
deals with the doctrine of the trinity." - Ministry, October 1993, p. 10. George
Knight is exactly correct! Ellen White and most of the pioneers would not join
the new movement “church” today, because the Trinity Doctrine sweeps away the
entire Christian economy by denying the heavenly Sanctuary/Atonement
sacrifice that resulted in a third person to the Godhead—the death of the
Testator to something FOREVER, which was the prescribed limit of a sacrifice
according to the Testator’s Covenant in Scripture. The Son died to His Divine
Holy Spirit (ONLY) Being, and divested that Spirit Only existence He had had
from eternity from His human personality and His former Holy Spirit became
independent thereof. "Cumbered
with humanity Christ could not be in every place personally, therefore it was
altogether for their advantage that He should leave them to go to His Father
and send the Holy Spirit to be His successor on earth. The Holy Spirit is
Himself divested of the personality of humanity and independent thereof. He
would represent Himself as present in all places by His Holy Spirit.” E.G.
White, (Manuscript Releases Volume 14
No’s 1081-1135) (MR No.1084). Eternal Sacrifice Divine Soul "The
apostle would call our attention from ourselves to the Author of our
salvation. He presents before us His two natures, divine and human. . . . He
voluntarily assumed human nature. It was His own act, and by His own consent.
He clothed His divinity with humanity. He was all the while as God, but He
did not appear as God. He veiled the demonstrations of Deity which had
commanded the homage, and called forth the admiration of the universe of God.
He was God while upon earth, but He divested
Himself of the form of God, and in its stead took the form and fashion of
a man. He walked the earth as a man. For our sakes He became poor, that
we through His poverty might be made rich. He laid aside His glory and His
majesty. He was God, but the glories
of the form of God He for awhile relinquished. . . . He bore the sins of
the world, and endured the penalty which rolled like a mountain upon His
divine soul. He yielded up His life a sacrifice, that man should not
eternally die. He died, not through being compelled to die, but by His own
free will." E.G. White, SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 7a, p. 446. Christ
divested Himself of the form of God forever. The glories of the form of God
relate to the praise and honor He received. That will be restored, but not
His Divine ONLY state of being—the state of being of the ONE ETERNAL SPIRIT
only, shared by He and His Father. That one spirit is what makes them one
God. The
Trinity Doctrine totally voids the Heavenly Sanctuary/Atonement sacrifice by
saying that the three persons to the Godhead existed forever. Thus the
teaching of the Trinity Doctrine does not teach the heavenly Sanctuary
Atonement which was entirely requisite to fulfilling of the Everlasting
Covenant which states that the Testator must die to something forever. For
while the Testator lives in His original state as Divine Holy Spirit Only,
the Testament (Everlasting Covenant) is of no avail. Thus, without that
prescribed limit of a sacrifice in the Heavenly Sanctuary, there was no
Atonement—and no Sanctuary Service Sacrifice to enable that sacrifice. This
sweeps away the entire Christian economy by by-stepping the process by which
the Son of Man died to something eternally which paid man’s wages of death
which is death—eternal death, not just three days and nights in a tomb. Hebrews

So the omega would have to do the same thing. Notice: Sanctuary
Gone Atonement Gone -- "In a representation which passed before me, I
saw a certain work being done by medical missionary workers. Our ministering
brethren were looking on, watching what was being done, but they did not seem
to understand. The foundation of our faith, which was established by so much
prayer, such earnest searching of the Scriptures, was being taken down,
pillar by pillar. Our faith was to have
nothing to rest upon--the sanctuary was gone, the atonement was gone." E.G. White, The Upward
Look, 152. Did
you ever wonder how and why the Sanctuary and Atonement was gone as a result
of Kellogg’s pantheism. I asked the Lord why and He showed me. The Bible says
that God is a Spirit and that there is one eternal Spirit. Pantheism teaches
that the Spirit of God is in everything. Of course God’s Spirit which is His
essence (Substance) is not invested in everything or everything would be God.
So the implication is that the Holy Spirit of God is in everything. If the
Holy Spirit of God can be in everything and has been from eternity, then that
voids the heavenly Sanctuary/Atonement sacrifice that was made to give man
that gift. That voids the need for the Everlasting Covenant—the Testators
sacrifice to die to something forever so we can have the life that was His,
because we would already have it through pantheism. "He
(Christ) suffered the death which was
ours, that we might receive the life which WAS His." Desire of Ages, p. 25 1 Cor. 11:24-265,
cf. John 6:53, 54, Titus 3:5, 6. What death was ours? Three
nights and days in a tomb and then everlasting life?! No. The wages of sin is
eternal death. So Christ had to die to something eternally or the Testators
Covenant was of no strength—invalid! Pantheism totally bypasses
that requirement by teaching that the Holy Spirit of God is already in
everything! So pantheism and the Trinity Doctrine both sweep away the entire
Christian economy because they bypass the sacrifice by which a third person
accrued in the Godhead. Any ministry professing the Seventh-day Adventist
truth is guilty of the same thing if it does not teach how the third person
came about—via the divestation of the Son’s prior Holy Spirit Divine Nature
(ONLY) from His human personality, thus making His combination with humanity
another distinct person. Were this not so, we would have four persons to the
Godhead: God
the father. God
the Son. God
the Holy Spirit. God Jesus as combined with humanity forever. It is an abominable charade to
see so called SDA independent ministries teaching a view on the Godhead that
RESULTS in the same annihilation of the Sanctuary/Atonement in heaven, and
thus sweeps away the entire Christian economy, because they deny how the
third person accrued and the sacrifice involved. They are thus as antichrist
as Rome on something which Ellen White calls a pillar, landmark doctrine of
the church—the personality of God and Christ. And omega of apostasy new
movement Adventism adopted the Trinity Doctrine into the church at the 1980
General Conference Session. No greater antichrist apostasy could be possible
since what is involved is the “highest good, crowning gift, heaven can
bestow. "Christ
declared that after his ascension, he would send to his church, as his crowning
gift, the Comforter, who was to take his place. This Comforter is the Holy Spirit,--the soul of his life,
the efficacy of his church, the light and life of the world. With his Spirit
Christ sends a reconciling influence and a power that takes away sin. In the gift
of the Spirit, Jesus gave to man the highest good that heaven could
bestow.... The Spirit
was given as a regenerating agency, and without this the sacrifice of Christ
would have been of no avail.... It is by
the Spirit that the heart is made pure. Through the Spirit the believer
becomes a partaker of the divine nature. Christ has given his Spirit as a
divine power to overcome all hereditary and cultivated tendencies to evil,
and to impress his own character upon the church." E.G. White, Review and Herald Articles, May 19,
1904, vol. 5, p. 42. 2Pe 1:4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be
partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through
lust. The Comforter,
the Holy Spirit, The Divine Nature, is the former soul of the life of Christ.
All of this is supported in the Bible in John 14. All three come to us
because they are ONE ETERNAL SPIRIT, ONE GOD. Apostasy Abomination #2: New movement Adventism has
committed unpardonable sin by violating the Midnight Cry and the three
angel’s messages via ecumenical liaisons with Babylon’s associations,
councils/counsels, girdings and confederacies/conspiracies in violation of
Isaiah 8:9-16. The only option after that is being “broken in pieces,” stated
three times for important emphasis. How do we
know this is unpardonable sin—God’s line in the sand? Because in Jeremiah
11:9-15, when Israel formed a conspiracy with God’s enemies, God instructed
Jeremiah to no longer pray for that generation of Jews. And God then asks:
What hath my beloved to do in mine house (my church), since she has wrought
lewdness with many.” When a church thus marries into the Synagogue of Satan,
God’s enemy, that is unpardonable sin and God says His bride, His beloved,
has no business in such a church any longer. Did Ellen
White comment on Jeremiah wherein God says to no longer pray for His people?
Yes indeed. She said there would be an end-time counterpart to that
proclamation by God Almighty: COUNTERPART: "The Lord commanded one of his ancient servants,
'Pray not thou for this people [Jer. 7:16 and 11:14], neither
lift up cry nor prayer for them neither make intercession to me for I will
not hear thee.' The prophet thus describes the sins which had called forth
this fearful denunciation: 'The prophets prophesy falsely, and the
priests bear rule by their means and my people love to have it so
and what will ye do in the end thereof?' 'From the least of them even unto
the greatest of them, every one is given to covetousness and from the prophet
even unto the priest, every one dealeth falsely.
They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly,
saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.' The apostles declare that
this state of things will find its COUNTERPART in the last days.
Many have a form of godliness, but in their daily life deny the power
thereof. They have ceased to be convicted of their sins or alarmed at their
state. They say in their hearts, 'The church is flourishing. Peace and
spiritual prosperity are within her borders.' The words of the prophet may
well apply to these self-deceivers, 'They have chosen their own ways, and
their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will
choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them." E. G.
White, Second Advent Review and Sabbath Herald, 11-07-82. COUNTERPART: "In the time of the Saviour, the Jews had so
covered over the precious jewels of truth with the rubbish of tradition and
fable, that it was impossible to distinguish the true from the false. The
Saviour came to clear away the rubbish of superstition and long-cherished
errors, and to set the jewels of God's word in the framework of truth. What
would the Saviour do if he should come to us now as he did to the Jews? He
would have to do a similar work in clearing away the rubbish of tradition and
ceremony. The Jews were greatly disturbed when he did this work [As are SDAs
today!]. They had lost sight of the original truth of God, but Christ brought
it again to view. It is our work to free the precious truths of God from
superstition and error." E.G. White, Review and Herald, vol. 2, 308. There is a modern COUNTERPART to the ancient apostate "chosen
people" of God. That modern COUNTERPART is the people who claim to be
the modern "chosen people" of God, the remnant, God’s
commandment-keeping people if you will. There are over 100 statements to the affect that SDAs are repeating
the history of ancient Israel. Here are just a few of them: "I have been shown that the spirit of the world is fast
leavening the church. You are following the same path as did ancient Israel.
There is the same falling away from your holy calling as God's peculiar
people. You are having fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. Your
[ecumenical] concord with unbelievers have provoked he Lord's displeasure.
You know not the things that belong to your peace, and they are fast being
hid from your eyes. [The very words applied to fallen Israel on page 17 of
The Great Controversy] Your neglect to follow the light will place you in a
more unfavorable position than the Jews upon whom Christ pronounced a
woe." Testimonies, Vol. 5, pp. 75-76. "Like ancient Israel, the church has dishonored her God by
departing from the light, neglecting her duties, and abusing her high and
exalted privilege of being peculiar and holy in character. Her members have
violated their covenant to live for God and him only. They have joined with
the selfish and world-loving. Pride, the love of pleasure, and sin have been
cherished, and CHRIST HAS DEPARTED. His Spirit has been quenched in the
church. Satan works side by side with professed Christians yet they are so
destitute of spiritual discernment that they do not detect him." E.G. White,
Testimonies, Vol. 2, pp.
441-442. "Among the professed followers of Christ, there is the same
pride, formalism, vainglory, selfishness, and OPPRESSION, that existed in the
Jewish nation." E.G. White, Sketches from the Life of
Paul, 251-252.
"God's professed people are selfish and self-caring....They are
idolaters, and are worse, in the sight of God, than the heathen, graven-image
worshippers who have had no knowledge of a better way." Testimonies,
Vol. 2, 440-441. Apostasy
Abomination #3: New movement Adventism conspired with
Evangelicals the late Dr. Walter Martin and Dr. Donald Grey Barnhouse in the
mid to latter 1950’s, to get them to change the church’s position on the
human nature of Christ. Church leaders then proceeded to change the book Bible
Readings for the Home Circle, on the human nature of Christ, to say that
Christ did not take our sinful nature. This is antichrist doctrine because
God’s Word says that whoever does not believe that Christ came in the
likeness of sinful flesh is antichrist. The reason He came in sinful flesh
was to prove that we can overcome sin by the same means He did—by the
empowerment of His Holy Spirit Divine Nature which He sacrificed for us as a
means to restoring us to the image of God as overcomers. "The humanity of the Son
of God is EVERYTHING to us. It is the golden chain that binds our souls to
Christ, and through Christ to God. This is to be our study. Christ was a real
man. He gave proof of His humility in becoming a real man." Selected
Messages, vol. 1, 244. 2Cr
5:21 For he hath
made him [to be] sin
for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the
righteousness of God in him. Hbr
2:17 Wherefore
in all things it behoved him to be made like unto
[his] brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in
things [pertaining] to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the
people. Human nature of Christ Rom 1:23 -- Incarnation of Christ "The
humanity of the Son of God is EVERYTHING to us. It is the golden chain that
binds our souls to Christ, and through Christ to God. This is to be our
study. Christ was a real man. He gave proof of His humility in becoming a
man. Yet He was God in the flesh. When we approach this subject, we would do
well to heed the words spoken by Christ to Moses at the burning bush, 'Put
off thy shoes from off they feet, for the place where on thou standest is holy
ground.' We should come to this study with the humility of a learner, with
contrite heart. And the study of the Incarnation of Christ is a fruitful field, which
will repay the searcher who digs deep for hidden truth."
E.G. White, The Youth's Instructor, Oct. 13, 1898. "Christ's
life represents a perfect manhood. Just that which you may be. He was in
human nature. He took our infirmities. He was not only made flesh but He
was made in the likeness of sinful flesh." EGW, 5 Bible Commentary, p. 1124. “He took
upon Him our sinful nature.” Ellen White, Review
and Herald, 12/15/96. 1Jo 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not
that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that
[spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and
even now already is it in the world. 2Jo 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into
the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.
This is a deceiver and an antichrist. He came in
our sinful flesh and all who do not confess that are antichrist. New movement
Adventism is antichrist because it teaches that Christ did not come in our sinful
flesh—our sinful nature. Leroy Froom, as editor of Ministry magazine in 1957, sent that view out to more than
450,000 institutions of the world and tens of thousands of Babylonian
preachers, as a testament to what SDA’s believe. And that has never been
reversed and repented of. The magazine said flat out that Christ took Adam’s
nature BEFORE the fall. That is antichrist heresy of the first order. Apostasy Abomination #4: Having become and remaining Laodicean for decades. Ellen White said
that if we became Laodicean and remained such we would not be regarded with
any more favor by God than Babylon: "If the church of God
becomes LUKEWARM [LAODICEAN] it does not stand in favor with God any more than do the
churches that are represented as having fallen and become the habitation of
devils and the hold of every foul spirit and the cage of every unclean and
hateful bird. Those
who have had opportunities to hear and receive the truth, and who have united
with the Seventh-day Adventist church, calling themselves the commandment
keeping people of God, and yet possess no more vitality and consecration to
God than do the nominal churches, will receive of the plagues of God just as
verily as the churches who oppose the law of God." E.G. White, Letter
35, 1898. Apostasy Abomination #4: Going to
Babylon to learn church growth methods when those methods involve
entertainment via worldly music, drama, theatricals and lewd dancing. (The
worst dancing I have seen is on an SDA Video of a Celebration church Youth group
at an Oregon campmeeting). The last time I attended camp meeting in Alberta,
there were Hindu dancers in the youth tent. Doctrinal differences are
discarded in favour of relationships. Apostasy Abomination #5: Holding
joint Easter Sunrise services with Babylon. Apostasy Abomination #6: Licentiousness
amongst members and leaders relative to adultery. The church has
the same divorce rate as the world! "We
must as a people arouse and cleanse the camp of Israel. Licentiousness,
unlawful intimacy, and unholy practices are coming in among us in a large
degree...We are in danger of becoming a sister to fallen Babylon, of allowing
our churches to become corrupted and filled with every foul spirit, a cage
for every unclean and hateful bird, and will we be clear unless we make
decided movements to cure the existing evil? E. G. White, Manuscript Releases
No. 449, pp. 17, 18. (Letter 51, 1886 to Elder Butler) Testimonies on
Sexual Behavior, Adultery, and Divorce, p. 193. The teaching by some SDA leaders that it is alright for
unmarried couples to live together. Apostasy Abomination #7: The teaching
that masturbation is okay when it is most enervating to the system causing
tiredness and fatigue and lack of endurance. Why is it that some football
coaches know this and counsel their players not to have sex before games, and
SDA leaders don’t realize this fact. One can prove this fact to him/herself. Apostasy Abomination #8: Worldliness
to the point that little difference can be seen involving money, fashion, wearing
of Jewellery, and sexual escapades. The church is still in the Laodicean
state which Ellen White said is the foolish virgin state. This is serious! Apostasy Abomination #9: All the
specifications in 1SM 204-5. Books of a new order--teaching a false gospel.
Our religion has been changed. Even George Knight admitted that SDA pioneers
would not be members of the church today! Why? Because it is an imposter New
Movement masquerading as the true SDA church. Ellen White would not be party
to the absolute apostasy of the church today. Apostasy Abomination #10: Adoption of
the World's Accreditation Standards for all our Educational institutions.
This was done by a few men in the early 1930's, without taking this serious
matter to the General Conference in Session.
There is no better way for Satan to introduce the church to the world
and marry the church to the world than through teaching our youth the world’s
Accreditation Standards! "The
world must not be introduced into the church, and married to the church,
forming a bond of unity. Through this means the church will become indeed
corrupt, and as stated in Revelation, 'a cage of every unclean and hateful
bird.'" Testimonies to Ministers,
p. 265. Apostasy Abomination #11: New Age Seminars have been taught at Loma
Linda teaching one to search for the god within. Apostasy Abomination #12. Inviting
high placed Catholic leaders to speak at SDA General Conference Sessions
which are supposed to be the voice of God to Adventists. Apostasy Abomination #13: Loud music,
shouting and drums and every uncouth thing at our campmeetings just
before the close of probation. 2SM, p. 36. Apostasy Abomination #14: Hypnosis
used by those in the church who have departed from the truth in the church.
An SDA dentist hypnotized an audience of Adventists. Ellen White said that
those who have departed from the faith (not the church) would use hypnosis. Selected
Messages, Bk. 3, pp. 411, 412. Apostasy Abomination #15: An Elder in
good standing at a Colorado SDA church, is
teaching folk to tune into Greek and other spirit guides. He claims to be
taught by "Thoth," a pagan god. This is pure spiritualism. This is
not a "molehill" violation. This is not a mere fault or defect such

The sending out of over 450,000 copies of Ministry magazine in 1957, to non-SDA pastors,
telling them the flat out lie that Christ took the nature of Adam
BEFORE the fall. That voids His being an EXAMPLE to us. Apostasy Abomination #19: Open,
blatant, flagrant sin is permitted to exist in the church and the
leaders are ringleaders of the apostasy. Thorny Ground Hearers who are open
sinners are permitted to choke out the wheat. This is not the same as tares
whom Ellen White defines as insincere believers whose motives we would have
to judge in order to uproot them from the camp. The open sinners in the church
are the ones who believe and teach a false gospel that supports their open
sin. These types choke out the wheat and make it impossible for the wheat to
mature: "And some fell among
thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them." "He also that
received seed among thorns is he that heareth the word;
and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word,
and he becometh unfruitful." {RH, June 21, 1892 par. 1} Thorns sprung
up.--The thorns made it impossible for the wheat to mature: (see Luke 8:14). In the same way
secular interests prevent the fruits of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22, 23) from reaching maturity. Religion is relegated to
the subordinate position of being only one interest among many. For lack of
cultivation it withers and eventually dies. That which the thorny-ground
hearers lack is a moral transformation [E.G. White, Christ's Object
Lessons, p. 50] To them, justification is the sum and substance
of religion, and they fail to realize that the Christian life consists essentially
in the process known as sanctification--the process by which evil traits and
tendencies are replaced by the perfect life-pattern of Jesus Christ." Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary,
vol. 5, 405. Apostasy Abomination #20: (a) Errant
teachings regarding serious end-time events, such as Matthew 22, Daniel 8-12,
and Revelation 13. For example, Doug Bachelor would have folk flee at the
time the National Sunday Law is first implemented. Ellen White says that is
the time to leave the cities for smaller towns preparatory to leaving for the
mountains. The Sunday Law will not be enforced by penalties at first. It is
as the judgments of God multiply in the land, and those judgments are blamed
on His people, that the Sunday Law will be enforced by no buy and sell laws
and even death. This error will cause folk to endure hardship much longer
than if they knew the truth on this issue. (b) The SDA Bible Commentary, written by
40 plus thought leaders, no less, says under comments on Ezekiel 9, that
Ezekiel 9 was fulfilled under the Nebuchadnezzar sieges which were
captivities. Those captivities were permitted of God that His people might
reform. Ezekiel 9 could not be fulfilled until the 490 years of probation
allotted to Israel was up, and that ended in 34 A.D. There could have been no
Ezekiel 9 sealing until that time. How could the cream of the crop leaders
make such a colossal error if they were led by God’s Spirit? And Ulicia
Unruh, an SDA minister’s wife teaches this gross error to God’s people on the
Internet. Ellen White
says that Ezekiel 9 will be literally repeated. Is there a stark difference
between going into Nebuchadnezzar type captivity at
the end-time versus an Ezekiel 9 destruction BEGINNING AT HIS CHURCH, HIS
SANCTUARY, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211?
I guess so!!! The
implications of this horrendous error are that Ellen White said that Ezekiel
9 will be literally fulfilled again. She said the last literal fulfillment,
Chapter 1, The Great Controversy, A.D. 27-70, was a prefigure type of the
final end-time fulfillment BEGINNING at His church, His Sanctuary, the House
of Jacob. 5T 211. So it is important, life saving knowledge to know so we may
follow what occurred in that type which included the gathering out by Christ
of those who would give the gospel to the world (DA 232), and the disciples
gathering out of the converts to Christianity into home churches. This began
in A.D. 34, after the 490 years of probation for Israel closed (See Daniel
9). That gathering out was part of the sealing of Ezekiel 9. They left
apostasy to be sealed into the truth. Apostasy Abomination #21: Breaking
God's commandments more than any other people, Ezekiel 5, just like the Jews
did. Ezekiel 5 is just another take on Ezekiel 9. Here is what God says about
Jerusalem, spiritual Israel, SDA’s at the end-time. And how do we know that
Ezekiel 5 is of end-time context. In
verse 5 God does the worst thing He ever does. According to Matthew
24:21 that occurs at the end-time. Now here is what God says about the SDA
church at the end-time: 5Thus
saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem [The SDA church]: I have set it in the
midst of the nations and countries that are round about her. 6And she hath changed my
judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than
the countries that are round about her: for they have refused my judgments
and my statutes, they have not walked in them. 7Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the nations that are
round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my
judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that
are round about you; 8Therefore
thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst
of thee in the sight of the nations. 9And
I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any
more the like, because of all thine abominations. 10Therefore
the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat
their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of
thee will I scatter into all the winds. 11Wherefore,
as I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary
with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore
will I also diminish thee; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have
any pity. 12A
third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they
be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword
round about thee; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I
will draw out a sword after them. 13Thus
shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them,
and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it
in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them. 14Moreover
I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the
nations that are round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by. 15So it shall be a reproach
and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that are
round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury
and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it. 16When
I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their
destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the
famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread: 17So
will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee: and
pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it. Ezekiel
5:5-17. Compare the above
with Ellen White’s assessment and see if it aligns with God’s: Worse than Babylon --
"God's professed people are selfish and self-caring....They are
idolaters, and are worse, in the sight of God, than the heathen, graven-image
worshippers who have had no knowledge of a better way." Testimonies,
Vol. 2, 440-442. Remember that Ezekiel 5 is
just another take on Ezekiel 9. "Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel.
These words will be literally fulfilled yet the time is passing, and the
people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not
a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important
truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their
individual experience. The time is short. God is calling will YOU hear? Will
YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon,
very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2,
3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley, September 26,
1909.)" E.
G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260. “The time
will soon come when the prophecy of Ezekiel 9 will be fulfilled; that
prophecy should be carefully studied, for it will be fulfilled to the very
letter.”— Ellen G. White 1888 Materials, p. 1303. The Signs of the Times, February 12, 1880:
“The desolation of Jerusalem stands as a solemn warning before the eyes of modern
Israel.” “The
desolation of Jerusalem in the days of Jeremiah is a solemn warning to modern
Israel, that the counsels and admonitions given them through chosen
instrumentalities cannot be disregarded with impunity.” Prophets and Kings, 416. Apostasy Abomination #22: Violating the Midnight Cry by
association, counsel, girding and confederacy with Babylon after being called
out. This is unpardonable sin, for Ellen White says that it is then
impossible to get back on the pathway to heaven. Word to the Little
Flock, p. 14. Notice: "While praying at the family altar, the Holy Ghost fell on
me, and I seemed to be rising higher and higher, far above the dark world. I
turned to look for the Advent people in the world, but could not find
them--when a voice said to me, 'Look again, and look a little higher.' At
this I raised my eyes and saw a straight and narrow path cast up high above
the world. On this path the Advent people were traveling to the City, which
was at the farther end of the path. They had a bright light set up behind them
at the first end of the path, which an angel told me was the Midnight Cry.
This light shone all along the path, and gave light for their feet so they
might not stumble. And if they kept their eyes fixed on Jesus, who was just
before them, leading them to the City, they were safe. But soon some grew
weary, and they said the City was a great way off, and they expected to have
entered it before. Then Jesus would encourage them by raising his glorious
right arm, and from his arm came a glorious light which waved over the Advent
band, and they shouted Hallelujah! Others rashly denied the light [MIDNIGHT
CRY VIOLATED BY ECUMENICAL LIAISONS WITH BABYLON] behind them, and said that
it was not God that had led them out so far. The light behind them went out
leaving their feet in perfect darkness, and they stumbled and got their eyes
off the mark and lost sight of Jesus, and fell off the path down in the dark
and wicked world below. It was just as impossible
for them to get on the path again and go to the City, as all
the wicked world which God had rejected. They fell all the way along
the path one after another, until we heard the voice of God like many waters,
which gave us the day and hour of Jesus' coming.... By this time the
144,000 were all sealed and perfectly united.
On their foreheads was written, God, New Jerusalem, and a glorious Star
containing Jesus' new name." E.G. White, Word to the
Little Flock, p. 14.
[cf. “New Jerusalem,” Message to Philadelphia, Rev. 3:10-12.] When one hears and understands the Midnight Cry of Matthew 25
and the first and second angel’s messages, and later violates such by
ecumenical liaison with Babylon, then it is IMPOSSIBLE to get back on the
pathway to heaven. This is further confirmed by Isaiah 8:9-12, where the only
stated option for such violation is “broken in pieces,” and in my King James
Bible, the marginal reading for slaughter weapon in verse 2 is “a weapon of
his breaking in pieces.” So the Ezekiel 9 punishment is for violation of
God’s commands not to associate, take council/counsel and or
confederacy/conspiracy with His avowed enemies. That is like marrying into
Satan’s Synagogue. At the very least, most every SDA minister belongs to his
local Ministerial Association and pays annual dues to such. A PhD woman at
the Canadian Council of Churches told me that these Ministerial Associations
are a local arm of The World Council of Churches and its subsidiary National
Councils of Churches. They are Satan’s Synagogue. SDA leaders lie about their
liaison with these councils. In the latter part of 1980, it all blew out into the open when
about 1400-1500 Hungarian SDA’s revolted and protested the SDA involvement in
the Hungarian Council of Free Churches, which is the National Council of
Churches in that country. The Adventist Review was forced to cover the issue. Just prior to that FORCED revelation, Dr. B.B. Beach had told
me over the phone that the church was not a member of any such council. Then
I obtained a Directory Christian
Councils from the World Council of Churches, which listed the SDA church
as MEMBERS in a number of countries and under a lesser status in other
countries. But the last page, 244, says that the World Council of Churches is
in WORKING RELATIONSHIP with the Seventh-day Adventist church. That is more
than just “observers,” which the church usually claims. I also called the conference Treasurer at that time and asked
how much the church gave to the National Council of Churches of Christ in the
U.S.A. for that year and the figure was over $8,000. Apostasy Abomination #23: The teaching
of at least two different gospels. God said to accurse (anathema) anyone,
even an angel who should come with another gospel. The word used for accursed
is anathema, which means eternally doomed. It is one gospel that Christ came
in our sinful nature and quite another that He came not in that nature and/or
not in the nature of Adam before or after the fall. Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from
heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that
which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now
again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have
received, let him be accursed.
Accursed mean
anathema—having nothing to do with! Desmond Ford’s New Theology apostasy is part and parcel
to the different gospels being taught by SDA leadership. But do not
forget: God said to accurse ANYONE, even an angel who should come with
another gospel. I believe that many current day leaders really embrace
much if not all of Ford's theories. But in addition to that apostasy,
there are the following abominations for which we are to sigh and cry
and only those who do so will receive the seal of the Man in Linen, Ezekiel
9. None of these abominations are mere "faults, defects, and/or
molehills made into a mountain." Apostasy
Abomination #24: The SDA new movement has sought the aid of the civil government
in suing its members. Ellen White said this is a sure sign that the leaders
don’t have the Holy Spirit working in them. They sought the power of the
civil government in Russia to come against true reformers there. You may read
about this in the addendum to this document. "It was
apostasy that led the early church to seek the aid of the civil government,
and this prepared the way for the development of the papacy the beast. Said
Paul: 'There shall come a falling away, . . . and
that man of sin be revealed.' 2 Thessalonians 2:3. So apostasy in the church will prepare the way for the image to the
beast." The Great Controversy, 443-444. Will the
Omega of Apostasy New Movement Which Waxes Stronger Until Jesus Comes be
Cleansed Yes, the question is ironical! But that is
the type of irony and pure nonsense that the true reformers are having to deal with. Ellen White prophesied that nothing will
stand in the way of the new movement, new organization that has formed itself
AMONG the church. The
Most Effective Misinterpreted Statement Made by Professing SDA Leaders and
Their Devoted Sheeple One of the most clever manipulations of
Satan and his agents is his having come in “among” Seventh-day Adventists to
form a new movement, new organization, in Trojan Horse fashion, and then use
the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy statements like 1 John 2:19 to guilt folk
into remaining in his omega of apostasy new movement, new organization. "In
this last conflict the Captain of the Lord's host [Joshua 5:15] is leading on
the armies of heaven and mingling in the ranks and fighting our battles for
us. We shall have apostasies, we expect them. "They will go out from us because they
were not of us" (see 1 John 2:19). 18Little
children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall
come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the
last time. 19They
went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they
would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be
made manifest that they were not all of us. 20But
ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know
all things. 1 John 2:18-20. Who was John
referring to when he said some will go out from us because they were not of
us? Was he referring to those who went out from the apostate Jewish church,
or was he referring to those who had separated from that church as followers
of Christ? The answer should be empirical. Who was Ellen
White referring to when she quoted John? Was she referring to a new omega of
apostasy movement, new organization that has removed pillar doctrines,
thereby removing God Almighty from the church? Did she mean the bad would
leave the following perpetrators of the omega apostasy that she said would
wax stronger until Jesus comes? What about
these words in Ellen White’s statement under review: “We shall have apostasies,
we expect them.” Does that mean we just roll
over and tolerate apostasies because they are expected? Is that what Ellen
White did in the Alpha of Apostasy? Or did she “MEET
IT” with everything she had! Did she put a stop to Kellogg’s pantheism and
his perverted view on the Godhead which she said swept away the entire
Christian economy? Yes she did. But she also said that NOTHING would be
permitted to stand in the way of the new movement, new organization that
would removed pillar doctrines and God. So the all looming
question is what does one do when one finds him/herself
in a new movement, new organization that seeped in antichrist apostasy that
will wax stronger until Jesus comes? What is the proper course in response to
such a new movement that is working on wrong principles. "Even though you may
not be able to speak a word to those who are working on wrong principles,
leave them. Your withdrawal and silence may do more than words. Nehemiah
refused to associate with those who were untrue to principle,
and he would not permit his workmen to associate with them. The love and fear
of God were his safeguard-Dare to be a Daniel, Dare to stand alone.
Thus as did Moses, you will endure the seeing of Him who is invisible. But
a cowardly and silent reserve before evil associates, while you listen to
their devices makes you one with them Come out from among them and be
separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive
you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters,
saith the Lord Almighty." Review & Herald Vol. 4, p.
42. And if you will not leave?
Then you are accountable for the evil apostasy. You will not receive the seal
of God. You will not be selected from the tares by the third angel who binds
and seals the wheat for the heavenly garner just as the disciples were told
that whomever they bound (sealed) on earth will be bound (sealed) in heaven?
That is how the Man in Linen, the Spirit of Christ, works through the third
angel, faithful men, true reformers, to select the wheat from the tares. "The names of those who sin and refuse to
repent should not be retained on the church books, lest the saints be held accountable for their evil
deeds. Those who pursue a course of transgression should be visited and
labored with, and if they then refuse to repent,
they should be separated from church fellowship, in accordance with the rules
laid down in the Word of God." {11MR 208.3} In the prefigure of the
historic Ezekiel 9 sealing, not one person was sealed in and by the apostate
Jewish church organization. The people were not sealed until the Day of
Pentecost when the Holy Spirit was breathed upon the disciples. The disciples
were hiding for fear of the Jews, so they sure were not sealed by the Temple
leaders, from whom the Spirit of God had departed at the crucifixion of Jesus. 19Then the same
day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut
where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus
and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. 20And
when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were
the disciples glad, when they saw the LORD. 21Then
said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even
so send I you. 22And
when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye
the Holy Ghost: 23Whose
soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye
retain, they are retained. John 20:19-23. Ellen White’s Advice When the Church or Anyone is Working on Wrong
Principles Some think that Ellen
White never left the church. That is not true. She said at one point that she
was done; that she would not attend their meetings nigh or in the future.
Then the church would straighten out and stop its wrong course for awhile,
and she would return. Here is her statement: “I have a work to do, and I am now making decisions. I
must remain away from conference meetings. I must not attend camp meetings.
The spirit of drawing apart, as the result of judging one another, has become
so common, and the churches are becoming so leavened with this spirit, that I
have no desire to attend these meetings. After
returning from them, it is often weeks before I am able to take up my
neglected work. Because
those in positions of responsibility have for years left the Southern field
unworked, notwithstanding the most decided testimonies urging them to take up
this work because they continue to neglect this field and use every manner of
device in trying to uproot the confidence of the people in those who have
done the hardest and most self-sacrificing work in the South, I
have but very little confidence that the Lord is giving these men in
positions of responsibility spiritual eyesight and heavenly discernment. I am
thrown into perplexity over their course and I desire now to attend to my
special work, to have no part in any of their councils, and to attend no
camp-meetings, nigh nor afar off. My mind shall not be dragged into confusion
by the tendency they manifest to work directly contrary to the light that God
has given me. I am done. I will preserve my God-given intelligence.”

about the spirit in the church today? Do the leaders and laity judge the true
reformers and mock and deride them? Do they draw apart from the members of
the church triumphant who desire to aid them just as all true reformers have
done? Do they warn their new movement, new organization members to have
nothing to do with the true reformers? The Church Triumphant.— “The work is soon to close.
The members of the church militant who have proved faithful will become the
church triumphant.”-- Letter 32, 1892. {Ev 707.1} The ever present true
reformers in every succeeding generation are the church triumphant. "Characteristics of True Reformers.--
Here are given the characteristics of those who shall be reformers, who will
bear the banner of the third angel's message, those who avow themselves God's
commandment-keeping people, and who honor God, and are earnestly engaged, in
the sight of all the universe, in building up the old waste places. Who
is it that calls them, The repairers of the breach, The restorers of paths to dwell in? It
is God. Their names are registered [written--Heb. 12:22, 23] in heaven as
reformers, restorers, as raising the foundations of many generations."
E. G. White, SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 4, 1151. “I was
shown the necessity of those who believe that we are having the last message
of mercy, being separate from those
who are daily imbibing new errors. I
saw that neither young nor old should attend their meetings; for it is wrong
to thus encourage them while they teach error that is a deadly poison to the
soul and teach for doctrines the commandments of men. The influence of
such gatherings is not good. If God has delivered us from such darkness and
error, we should stand fast in the liberty wherewith He has set us free and
rejoice in the truth. God is displeased with us when we go to listen to
error, without being obliged to go; for unless He sends us to those meetings
where error is forced home to the people by the power of the will, He will
not keep us. The angels cease their watchful care over us, and we are left to
the buffetings of the enemy, to be darkened and weakened by him and the power
of his evil angels; and the light around us becomes contaminated with the
darkness. {EW 124.3} “I saw that
we have no time to throw away in listening to fables. Our minds should not be
thus diverted, but should be occupied
with the present truth,..." Early Writings, p. 125. "The sin of ancient Israel was in disregarding the expressed
will of God and following their own way according to
the leadings of unsanctified hearts.
Modern Israel are fast following in their
footsteps, and the displeasure of the Lord is as surely resting upon
them." 5T 94. The professed church has changed leaders while embracing apostasy: "If when the Lord reveals your errors you do not repent or make
confession, His providence will bring you over the ground again and
again. You will be left to make mistakes
of a similar character, you will continue to lack wisdom, and will call sin
righteousness. The multitude of
deceptions that will prevail in these last days will encircle you, and you
will change leaders, and not know that you have done so." RH 12/6/90 Notice the largest class in Adventism will abandon the truth: "As the storm approaches, a large class
who have professed faith in the third angel's message, but have not been
sanctified through obedience to the truth, abandon their position and join
the ranks of the opposition. By
uniting with the world and partaking of its spirit, they have come to view
matters in nearly the same light; and when the test is brought, they are
prepared to choose the easy, popular side.
Men of talent and pleasing address, who once rejoiced in the truth,
employ their powers to deceive and mislead souls." The Great

Crisis In 1957, the Hungarian Union of Seventh-day Adventists joined the
Council of Free Churches, a Hungarian inter-church ecumenical federation.
This was done voluntarily and without any governmental coercion. (The Council
of Free Churches is the Hungarian branch of the World Council of Churches,
which is pushing for a national Sunday Law along with other ecumenical
goals.) The knowledge that their own churches were involved in such an
activity was very distressing to the faithful Adventist people in Hungary.
Faithful Adventists could not keep silent when they saw such apostasy. Did
they have a right to be concerned about the Hungarian Union being a part of
the World Council of Churches? Notice carefully these words from the pen of
inspiration which the faithful Hungarians used to defend their course of
action: "The wide diversity of belief in the Protestant churches is
regarded by many as decisive proof that no effort to secure a forced
uniformity can ever be made. But there
has been for years, in churches of the Protestant faith, a strong and growing
sentiment in favor of a union based upon common points of doctrine. To secure
such a union, the discussion of subjects upon which all were not agreed--
however important they might be from a Bible standpoint-- must necessarily be
waived. Charles Beecher, in a sermon in the year 1846, declared that the
ministry of 'the evangelical Protestant denominations' is 'not only formed
all the way up under a tremendous pressure of merely human fear, but they
live, and move, and breathe in a state of things radically corrupt, and
appealing every hour to every baser element of their nature to hush up the
truth, and bow the knee to the power of apostasy. Was not this the way things
went with Rome? Are we not living her life over again? And what do we see
just ahead? Another general council! A world's convention! Evangelical alliance, and universal creed!' When this shall be gained,
then, in the effort to secure complete uniformity, it will be only a step to
the resort to force." The Great Controversy, 444, 445. What are the results of an ecumenical movement? This inspired warning
tells us that the sure results will be persecution for God's true people.
For, it will be through ecumenism that Protestant America will form an image
to the Roman hierarchy, and civil penalties for the faithful will inevitably
result. How did the Adventist leadership respond to this apostasy by the
Hungarian Union? In a sermon, Neal Wilson, the President of the General
Conference, at that time, replied to the faithful Seventh-day Adventists who
were protesting this union with the Council of Free Churches. In regard to
those who had joined the CFC he stated: "They did something which seemed
good in their eyes. To try to cooperate, to receive those benefits and
privileges which they are entitled to by this. If we were to talk over this
question today, and if they would ask us whether to enter or not, we would
advise them not to enter. Not because
it is wrong, or because it would be a denial of what
God said. . . . Not because we violate our teaching by this, and not because
the Union would be committing apostasy by joining the Council of Free
Churches. We do not believe this. Never think of it in this way. But because
our opinion is that it would be wiser to do so." The Hungarian Union
Apostasy, Pilgrim's Tractbooks, 63. [All emphasis
supplied.] Was it apostasy for Adventism to join with the fallen daughters of
Babylon in an ecumenical bond, in light of the clear testimony of God's
inspired word? The answer is a resounding Yes! "It is a backsliding church that lessens the distance between itself
and the Papacy." Signs of the Times, February 19, 1894. The faithful Hungarian brethren pleaded with the Hungarian Union to
withdraw from the Council of Free Churches, but they would not. As a result,
whole churches that persistently protested this union were disbanded. Those
who chose to stay a part of the Conference, in order to restore their
membership, had to sign a declaration which stated that they were wrong and
that they would remain loyal to the General Conference and accept all church
policies. Twelve hundred faithful
Hungarian Adventists would not sign the declaration, and all 1200 were disfellowshiped. Twenty-six
ministers and Bible workers were discharged for protesting the ecumenical
involvement, and five church buildings were shut down and the doors barred to
keep the faithful Adventists from gathering there. At one church, in
Budapest, guards were stationed around the church to make sure none of those
who had been disfellowshipped could use the
building. Open Apostasy in
Russia About the same time as the Hungarian Crisis, a similar situation
occurred in Communist Russia. The issues that the faithful Adventists in Russia
faced at this time were that the
Conference was 1) promoting SDA children attending school on Sabbath, 2)
working to stop evangelism in Russia and 3) allowing the pastors to read
fictional books from the pulpit on Sabbath morning. The faithful Seventh-day Adventists began to write letters to the
General Conference about the issue of sending their children to school on the
Sabbath. Their reply was that they
could not find a Biblical reason for them not to be attending schools on the
Sabbath. (See The Kulakov File, 49.) Kulakov, a
self-appointed leader, was a strong supporter of all of the apostasy which
the faithful Adventists were standing up against. When these faithful ones went to the General Conference for help,
with reports of what Kulakov was promoting, not
only did they not receive any help, but Kulakov
received the support of the GC. Without
opposition from the General Conference, Kulakov
went to the civil authorities, and with their help, forced the faithful
Adventists out of their long established churches. He and his followers then
became the registered church in Russia. This then made the faithful
Adventists an illegal organization, no longer recognized by the state as
legitimate, and this forced them to go underground and hold their worship
services in secret. (See The Kulkov File, 64,65.) One hundred ministers sought help form the GC, but did not find it. In their letter to the
conference leadership they correctly predicted what would happen. "If
you give the permission that Kulakov requests, you
will open the door to the possibility of persecution by the
authorities." (See Ibid, 56.) By taking a neutral position and not siding with those who were
standing for the truth, the conference was also accountable for the
persecution which followed. "No one is without influence. Those who, in
an effort to be neutral, manifest no positive hostility toward Christ and
their brethren, may think that they are rendering a
service to God, but such a thought is delusive. Upon the minds of those who are endeavoring to stand in a neutral
position, satanic agencies are working." Manuscript Releases, vol.
16, 10, 11. "If God abhors one sin above another, of which His people are
guilty, it is doing nothing in case of an emergency. Indifference and neutrality
in a religious crisis is regarded of God as a grievous crime and equal to the
very worst type of hostility against God." Testimonies vol. 3, 280. Do you see the progression down the road to the inquisition? Not only
were the members disfellowshipped
by the church without Biblical grounds, but the conference did nothing to
stop Kulakov from using the civil authorities to
disband faithful Adventist churches. This action is directly contrary to
God's express word. "It was apostasy that led the early church to seek the aid of
the civil government, and this prepared the way for the development of the
papacy the beast. Said Paul: 'There shall come a falling away,
. . . and that man of sin be revealed.' 2 Thessalonians 2:3. So apostasy in the church will prepare
the way for the image to the beast." The Great Controversy, 443-444.
It was apostasy for the early church to seek the aid of the civil
government, and it is apostasy when Adventists seek the aid of the civil
government today. So, we must ask ourselves, what is the underlying issue
that leads men to seek the aid of civil governments to prosecute their
brethren? The fundamental issue is the unregenerate heart which seeks to
control others. Jeremiah 17:9 says, "The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately wicked: who can know it?" When church leaders begin to go down the road of kingly power, and
they wish to control the minds of their brethren, they become progressively
more willing to use whatever methods they can find to accomplish their
purpose. They may start with ridicule, evil-speaking and withholding support,
then they may disfellowship the dissenting members,
and if that is not successful they may turn to civil authority to meet their
end. All this happened twenty or more years ago in the Adventist Church.
Has there been a change since then? Sadly, the answer is no. There has been
no reformation among the leadership of the Adventist Church. There is still
the same desire to control the work. And many more people, who have been unwilling
to submit to the Conference and go along with the apostasy, have been disfellowshiped or have been forced to leave their
churches. As this article is being published, the General Conference is using
the strong arm of the court to stop the work of a faithful minister (who has
been working tirelessly to spread the Three Angels' Messages), because he
uses the name "Seventh-day Adventist." |
