Vance Ferrell Persists in Error on the Holy Spirit

Dear reader,

Vance Ferrell updated his WebSite on February 8, 2003. Included in this update he added material on the Holy Spirit entitled Proof That the Holy Spirit Exists. In this study he denies that the Holy Spirit is the former (pre-Incarnation) life of Christ, and states that the Holy Spirit is not Christ, but an entirely different person. This is totally contrary and contradictory to the following statement by Ellen White, which Vance Ferrell still fails to deal with in his latest personal opinion spiel on the Holy Spirit. Vance's material on the Holy Spirit is still conspicuously omitting of the following statements from Scripture and Ellen White, defining precisely who the Holy Spirit is?

2Cr 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord [is], there [is] liberty.

"Christ declared that after his ascension, he would send to his church, as his crowning gift, the Comforter, who was to take his place. This Comforter is the Holy Spirit,--the soul of his life, the efficacy of his church, the light and life of the world. With his Spirit Christ sends a reconciling influence and a power that takes away sin.
In the gift of the Spirit [HIS LIFE--THE SOUL OF HIS LIFE], Jesus gave to man the highest good that heaven could bestow....
The Spirit was given as a regenerating agency, and without this the sacrifice of Christ would have been of no avail....
It is by the Spirit that the heart is made pure. Through the Spirit the believer becomes a partaker of the divine nature. Christ has given his Spirit as a divine power to overcome all hereditary and cultivated tendencies to evil, and to impress his own character upon the church." E.G. White, Review and Herald Articles, May 19, 1904, vol. 5, p. 42.

Vance says straight out that the Holy Spirit is not Christ. In this he proves God and Ellen White correct in maintaining, that the ministering watchmen do not understand the Godhead and how it relates to the personality of God (Christ) and His presence.

"Christ gives them the breath of HIS OWN SPIRIT, the life of HIS OWN LIFE. The HOLY SPIRIT puts forth its highest energies to work in the heart and mind." Desire of Ages, 827.

"Christ declared that after His ascension, He would send to His church, as His crowning gift, the Comforter, who was to take His place. This Comforter is the Holy Spirit--the soul of His life!" E.G. White, Review and Herald, May 19, 1904.

The only way anyone can interpret the two following statements so that nothing contradicts is to conclude that the Holy Spirit is the  preincarnate life, breath and soul of Christ:

"The Power of God in the Third Person.--The prince of the power of evil can only be held in check by the power of God in the third person of the Godhead, the Holy Spirit.--E.G. White, Evangelism, p. 617.

"Christ is THE SOURCE of every right impulse. He is the ONLY ONE who can arouse in the natural heart, enmity against sin. He is THE SOURCE of our power if we would be saved." E.G. White, Review and Herald, April 1, 1890.

The Godhead is comprised of the Father and two forms of the Son--His pre-Incarnated form of Being and His post-Incarnated form of Being. The trinity godhead is composed of the Father, the Son, and another person called the Holy Spirit which is supposed to be another Comforter separate and distinct from the Son to comprise the third person. Since the third person is also another form of the Son, it is absolute blasphemy to designate that third person as another person separate from that of the Son. That third person of the trinity is an imposter. That introduces error and confusion into the Godhead and we all know who the author of error and confusion is. That is precisely how Satan has introduced himself into a false godhead--the godhead of the trinity doctrine.

Ministering Brethren Cannot Understand the Omega Heresy

Ellen White said that the Alpha and Omega Heresy would involve speculation concerning

"I have been instructed by the heavenly messenger that some of the reasoning in the book Living Temple is unsound, and that this reasoning would lead astray the minds of those who are not thoroughly established on the on the foundation principles of present truth. It introduces that which is naught but speculation in regard to the personality of God and where Is presence is [the Godhead]. No one on this earth has a right to speculate on this question. The more fanciful theories are discussed, the less men will know of God and of the truth that sanctifies the soul." E.G. White, Selected Messages, vol. 1, 201-202.

"The spiritualistic theories regarding the personality of God [the Godhead], followed to their logical conclusion, sweep away the whole Christian economy. They estimate as nothing the light that Christ came from heaven to give John to give to His people. They teach that the scenes just before us are not of sufficient importance to be given special attention. The make of no effect the truth of heavenly origin, and rob the people of God of their past experience, giving them instead a false science." E.G. White, ibid., p. 204.

God and Ellen White said that the watchmen, the ministering brethren, cannot understand. Ellen White said that the Atonement and the Sanctuary were GONE, but the ministering brethren were looking on and could not seem to understand:

Sanctuary Gone Atonement Gone -- "In a representation which passed before me, I saw a certain work being done by medical missionary workers. Our ministering brethren were looking on, watching what was being done, but they did not seem to understand. The foundation of our faith, which was established by so much prayer, such earnest searching of the Scriptures, was being taken down, pillar by pillar. Our faith was to have nothing to rest upon--the sanctuary was gone, the atonement was gone." E.G. White, The Upward Look, 152.

Isaiah 56:10-12, says that the watchmen (ministering brethren of which Vance is one) cannot understand:

"His WATCHMEN are blind: they are all ignorant, the are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down loving to slumber. Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and THEY ARE SHEPHERDS that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant." Isaiah 56:10-12.

Ellen White included professing Seventh-day Adventist shepherds in the class of dumb dogs that will never bark again:

"Here we see that the church [Jerusalem]--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus 'Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211.

There are watchmen that "appear" to bark, but they never take a correct stance to the apostasy, and they never understand the full seriousness of ecumenical involvement and baptismal vows which pledge on to the Omega Heresy--the Trinity doctrine. Thus, they all, like Vance Ferrell, admonish their unwary sheep followers to remain in a church that has "removed God" (Selected Messages, vol. 1, 205). They admonish unwary sheep to remain in a church that has returned to the iniquities of its forefathers, Jeremiah 11:9-15, and the trinity doctrine is a specific example of returning to the iniquities of SDA forefathers, the mainline churches, and their embracement of the trinity error, that crept into the church in 325 A.D., and the SDA church in 1931.

Jeremiah 11:15 is proper advice when such apostasies accrue, but the watchmen do not give that advice. Thus, they advise their wanton sheep followers to stay for the end-time debacle of Ezekiel 9 and its literal fulfillment:

"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled; yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling; will YOU hear? Will YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley, September 26, 1909.)" E. G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260.

Read chapter 1 of the Great Controversy, to see what will happen in the next fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, BEGINNING at His Sanctuary [Jerusalem], the professing SDA church, and ending with the world as Jerusalem, after the world has heard the gospel. You have been warned.
