This is a critique of the following document prepared by someone else. My comments will appear in this color with highlights in this color print. I merely add weight of evidence factors and interpret so that noting contradicts.

The Shaking and the Judgment

Now we will examine the shaking. Will you be shaken in or out of the faith? The truth is, some of us will be shaken deeper into the fold and some of us will be shaken out. Now is the time to be stable. Many have reason to believe the shaking has already begun. Regardless, there is precious little time left to get ready.

“I had an impressive dream last night. I thought that you were on a strong vessel, sailing on very rough waters. Sometimes the waves beat over the top, and you were drenched with water. You said: ‘I shall get off; this vessel is going down.’ ‘No,’ said one who appeared to be the captain, ‘this vessel sails into the harbor. She will never go down.’” 5T 571

“The church may appear as about to fall, but it does not fall. It remains, while the sinners in Zion will be sifted out – the chaff separated from the precious wheat. This is a terrible ordeal, but nevertheless, it must take place.” 2SM 380

Ron’s comments: It should be empirical to all that the ship that does not fall is the church triumphant. And sure enough, Ellen White says that sinners are shaken from Zion.

Ellen White said that those who think the church militant is the church triumphant make a great mistake. Akin to that great mistake is thinking that sinners are shaken out of the church militant.

How could Ellen White make it any plainer that sinners ARE NOT shaken out of the church militant but rather Zion, the church triumphant, that does not fall.

"Those who think that the church militant is the church triumphant make a great mistake." E.G. White, The Upward Look, 152.

The Church Triumphant.--The work is soon to close. The members of the church militant who have proved faithful will become the church triumphant.-- Letter 32, 1892. {Ev 707.1}

Our prime task in discerning who is shaken from whom, is to identify Zion. That is the first thing God showed me when I embarked on my work for Him.

Ellen White distinguishes the pure virgin bride from the ten virgins in three primary ways:

1. Isaiah 62:1-5 identifies Zion as the pure virgin that is married. It is the 144,000 that are married and the people of the church are bridesmaids at the wedding.

"The marriage represents the reception by Christ of His kingdom. The Holy City, the New Jerusalem, which is the capital and representative of the kingdom, is called 'the bride, the Lamb's wife.' Said the angel to John: 'Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.' 'He carried me away in the spirit,' says the prophet, 'and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God.' Revelation 21:9, 10. Clearly, then, the bride represents the Holy City, and the virgins that go out to meet the bridegroom are a symbol of the church [militant]. In the Revelation the people of God are said to be the guests at the marriage supper. Revelation 19:9. If guests, they cannot be represented also as the bride...He will receive the New Jerusalem, the capital of His kingdom, 'prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.'" E. G. 2. In Christ’s Object Lessons, 405-406, Ellen White says that the voice of the bride awakens the 10 virgins with the Loud Cry: “Behold the bridegroom cometh, go ye out to meet Him,” and Matthew 25 says all ten virgins slumbered and slept.

Matthew 25

¹Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

²And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

³They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

⁴But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

⁵While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

So if the bride awakens the ten virgins, then that distinguishes the bride from the ten virgins.

3. Ellen White said only the 144,000 enter the Temple on Mt. Zion. Rev. 3:10-12 says that Philadelphians are made pillars in the Temple. Ellen White says that the bride follows Jesus wherever He goes. So it is the bride that is the 144,000 who are translated without seeing death.

So when Ellen White says that sinners are shaken out of Zion, she means the church triumphant, not that sinners are shaken out of the church militant to leave it the church triumphant. If we say that, then there would be no apostate church militant for Ezekiel 9 to begin at. And in the last fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, it BEGAN AT A LITERAL APOSTATE TEMPLE. So for the next fulfillment to be fulfilled to the letter as Ellen White says it will, then it must BEGIN AT A LITERAL SANCTUARY, an apostate church.

Satan will work to empty the ship in two ways. First, by convincing many members the doctrines are changed, they will fall out easily when the time of testing comes. Second, a watering down of our standards and doctrines causes such disgust on the part of others that they will believe the Seventh-day Adventist Church is no longer God’s vessel but simply another of Babylon’s vessels and walk away. At one time Ellen White was strong against such thoughts.

“To claim the Seventh-day Adventist church is Babylon, is to make the same claim as does Satan.” RH Aug. 29, 1893; TM 42

Ron’s comments: The above statement was made in 1893, when two men were calling the church Babylon. By the above interpretation, the writer totally eliminates the fact that an apostate SDA new movement will be intact where Ezekiel 9 will BEGIN, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211, just as the eye-witness Jewish historian, Josephus, said that the Romans BEGAN AT THE TEMPLE, and then moved on to destroy the city proper and then moved to outlying areas to destroy them as well.

All the writer of the document can conclude is that Ezekiel 9 would begin NOT AT HIS SANCTUARY, as God’s word states, but with individuals who have left the church for one reason or another. This violates Ezekiel 9:6 and Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211, where God says BEGIN AT MY SANCTUARY.

Ellen White said that Ezekiel 9 will be fulfilled to the letter, so all we need do is look at how it was fulfilled from A.D. 27-70. And indeed, Ellen White called that fulfillment a TWOFOLD PREFIGURE, p. 25, The Great Controversy.

1. The words of Christ prefigured the destruction of Jerusalem, Ezekiel 9.

2. His words prefigured the terrors of the last great day.

3. So since Ellen White says that Ezekiel 9 will be literal, Ezekiel 9 must begin at a literal church just as it did in the A.D. 70 TYPE. This is irrefutable truth, but little understood by sleeping virgin Adventists.

“But we have never had a message that the Lord would disorganize the church. We have never had the prophecy concerning Babylon applied to the Seventh-day Adventist church, or been informed that the ‘loud cry’ consisted in calling God’s people to come out of her; for this is not God’s plan concerning Israel....

“The world has a light constantly shining upon them, because this people honor God in keeping His commandments. Now can we expect that a message would be true that would designate as Babylon the people for whom God has done so much? Hell would triumph should such a message be received, and the world would be strengthened in iniquity. All the reproaches which Satan has cast upon the character of God would appear as truth, and the conclusion would be made that God has no chosen or organized church in the world. Oh what a triumph would this be to Satan and his confederacy of evil!” RH Oct. 3, 1893

Ron’s comments: Again, the quote above was made in 1893, to two men who were calling the church Babylon and calling folk out of it when Ellen White said the church at that time was keeping the commandments and heeding the Laodicean message and she asked the valid question: where could one go to improve on that?!

Up to that time, the church had never been informed that the Loud Cry would constitute another coming out, because the church had never apostatized to that point prior to 1893. But Ellen White gave clear delineations as to what would constitute the church as a sister to fallen Babylon and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird. She said that if the church became (and remained Laodicean) alone, would make it so that it did not obtain the favor of God any more than the fallen churches. The church not only became Laodicean, but from the 1930’s and on, advanced into cold apostasy and that is precisely why Ezekiel 9 BEGINS AT HIS SANCTUARY, Ezekiel 9:6 and Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211.

"If the church of God becomes LUKEWARM [LAODICEAN] it does not stand in favor with God any more than do the churches that are represented as having fallen and become the habitation of devils and the hold of every foul spirit and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird. Those who have had opportunities to hear and receive the truth, and who have united with the Seventh-day Adventist church, calling themselves the commandment keeping people of God, and yet possess no more vitality and consecration to God than do the nominal churches, will receive of the plagues of God just as verily as the churches who oppose the law of God." E.G. White, Letter 35, 1898.

If Laodicea is not regarded with any more favor by God than the fallen churches, and the message to Laodicea is to all churches as Ellen White says it is, then there is no difference between Laodicea and the fallen churches as far as being in a fallen state is concerned EXCEPT THAT THE SDA CHURCH IS WORSE THAN FALLEN BABYLON BECAUSE SHE HAD ADVANCED TRUTH.

"We must as a people arouse and cleanse the camp of Israel. Licentiousness, unlawful intimacy, and unholy practices are coming in among us in a large degree...We are in danger of becoming a sister to fallen Babylon, of allowing our churches to become corrupted and filled with every foul spirit, a cage for every unclean and hateful bird, and will we be clear unless we make decided movements to cure the existing evil? E. G. White, Manuscript Releases No. 449, pp. 17, 18. (Letter 51, 1886 to Elder Butler) Testimonies on Sexual Behavior, Adultery, and Divorce, p. 193.

"Now it is just EXACTLY as in the days of the Jews. When a message came in, why all the power of the leaders [such some leaders on this forum] WAS PUT AGAINST IT, THAT IT SHOULD NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE PEOPLE. Now, brethren, GO TO GOD FOR YOURSELVES, and on your knees plead with God...If God sends us light, let it come to us, and let no man close the door, or try to close it. Don't close it yourselves. Open the door of your heart and let the brilliant rays of light shine into your heart and into your mind. I pray you, let the Sun of Righteousness in." E.G. White, Manuscript Release #900, Manuscript 9, 1890. 1888 Materials, p. 541.

Time place circumstance -- Time, Place and Circumstance

"Regarding the Testimonies, nothing is ignored nothing is cast aside but TIME AND PLACE MUST BE CONSIDERED...Every jot and tittle is essential and must appear at the opportune time." E.G. White, Selected Messages, vol. 1, p. 57.

We cannot go by accolades concerning the church made in 1893. The church is in cold apostasy and is teaching antichrist doctrines on the human nature of Christ and the Godhead. And it linked with Babylon’s associations, counsels/councils, girdings, and conspiratorial confederacies from the latter 1950’s to the present time. This is unpardonable sin according to Isaiah 8:9-12 and Jeremiah 11:9-15.

"Worldly policy is taking the place of true piety and wisdom that comes from above, and God will remove His prospering hand from the conference. Shall the ark of the covenant be removed from this people? Shall idols be smuggled in? Shall false principles and false precepts be brought into the sanctuary? Shall antichrist be respected? Shall the true doctrines and principles given us of God, which have made us what we are, be ignored? This is directly where the enemy, through blinded, unconsecrated men, is leading us." E. G. White, Manuscript 29, 1890.

The emboldened part of the following statement was added by the editors of LDE, and is a diabolical lie as I will speedily prove.

“I was confirmed in all I had stated in Minneapolis, that a reformation must go through the churches. Reforms must be made, for spiritual weakness and blindness were upon the people who had been blessed with great light and precious opportunities and privileges. As reformers they had come out of the denominational churches, but they now act a part similar to that which the churches acted. We hoped that there would not be the necessity for another coming out. [THIS IS THE ONLY KNOWN STATEMENT FROM THE PEN OF ELLEN WHITE INDICATING THAT SHE MIGHT HAVE LOST CONFIDENCE IN THE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH ORGANIZATION. THE DOUBT WHICH SHE EXPRESSED HERE WAS NEVER REPEATED DURING THE REMAINING TWENTY-SIX YEARS OF HER LIFE.] While we will endeavor to keep the "unity of the Spirit" in the bonds of peace, we will not with pen or voice cease to protest against bigotry.”--EGW'88 356, 357 (1889). {LDE 48.1}

Does this sound like a loss of confidence:

“Of those who boast of their light and yet fail to walk in it Christ says, "But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment than for you. And thou, Capernaum [Seventh-day Adventists, who have had great light], which art exalted unto heaven [in point of privilege], shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works which have been done in thee had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day."--RH Aug. 1, 1893. [THE BRACKETED COMMENTS ARE BY ELLEN WHITE.] {LDE 48.2}

Do these words sound like a lack of confidence?:

“The church is in the Laodicean state. The presence of God is not in her midst.”--1NL 99 (1898). {LDE 49.1}

“The church is in the Laodicean state. The presence of God is not in her midst.”--NL 99 (1898). Latter Day Events, p. 49.

"To the end of time, the presence of the Spirit is to abide with the true church." E.G. White, Acts of the Apostles, p. 55.

Does this prophesying of the final outcome of the SDA church militant sound like Ellen White lost confidence in the church?:

"Jesus sends HIS PEOPLE a message of warning to prepare them for his coming. To the prophet John was made known the closing work in the great plan of man's redemption. He beheld an angel flying 'in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him for the hour of his Judgment is come and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters [Rev. 14:6, 7.].

The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message, symbolizes a class of faithful men, who, obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth. This message was not to be committed to the religious leaders of the people. They had failed to preserve their connection with God, and had REFUSED THE LIGHT FROM HEAVEN therefore they WERE NOT of the number described by the apostle Paul: 'But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day we are not of the night nor of darkness' [1 Thess. 5:4, 5].

The watchmen upon the walls of Zion should be the first to catch the tidings of the Saviour's advent, the first to lift their voices to proclaim him near, the first to warn the people to prepare for his coming. But they were at ease, dreaming of peace and safety, while the people were asleep in their sins. Jesus saw HIS CHURCH, like the barren fig-tree, covered with pretentious leaves, yet destitute of precious fruit. There was a boastful observance of the forms of religion, while the spirit of true humility, penitence and faith--which alone could render the service acceptable to God--was lacking. Instead of the graces of the Spirit, there were manifested pride, formalism, vainglory, selfishness, oppression. A BACKSLIDING CHURCH closed their eyes to the signs of the times. God did nor forsake them, or suffer his faithfulness to fail but they departed from him, and SEPARATED THEMSELVES from his love. As they REFUSED TO COMPLY WITH THE CONDITIONS, his promises were NOT FULFILLED to them." E.G. White, The Spirit of Prophecy, vol. 4, pp. 199-200 [The 1884 edition of The Great Controversy, 199, 200].

“I know that the Lord loves His church. It is not to be disorganized or broken up into independent atoms. There is not the least consistency in this; there is not the least evidence that such a thing will be. Those who shall heed this false message and try to leaven others will be deceived and prepared to receive advanced delusion, and they will come to naught.” 2SM 68,69

Ron’s comments: Given the final outcome of the church statement in GC 199, 200, above, we can only conclude that Ellen White is speaking of HIS CHURCH, the true and faithful SDA church, the church triumphant. That church will NEVER be broken up into atoms any more than the churches the disciples established (Home churches) from A.D. 34 and on consisted of “independent atoms.”

We need to get serious and ask ourselves whether or

Not the following truth regarding the prefigure experience of the Jews constituted being broken up into atoms:

"Christ was a protestant...The Reformers date back to Christ and the apostles. They came out and separated themselves from a religion of forms and ceremonies. Luther and his followers did not invent the reformed religion. They simply accepted it as presented by Christ and the apostles." E.G. White, Review and Herald, vol. 2, 48, col. 2.

Paul left

"And as they persisted in their rejection of the gospel the apostle (Paul) went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God. But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus." Acts, 19:8, 9.

"Fearing that the faith of the believers would be endangered by continued association with these opposers of the truth, Paul separated from them, and gathered the disciples into a distinct body." E.G. White, Acts of the Apostles, p. 286.

“Those who have proclaimed the Seventh-day Adventist church as Babylon have made use of the Testimonies in giving their position a seeming support; but why is it that they did not present that which for years has been the burden of my message – the unity of the church? Why did they not quote the words of the angel, ‘Press together, press together, press together?” RH Sept. 12, 1893; TM 56

Ron’s comments: Why is it that SDA writers pick only the positive part of the weight of evidence? Why would the writer leave out these important admonitions?:

"To secure peace and unity they were ready to make any concession consistent with fidelity to God but they felt that even peace would be too dearly purchased at the sacrifice of principle. If unity could be secured only by the compromise of truth and righteousness, then let there be difference, and even war." (Great Controversy, p. 45).

"Christ calls for unity. But He does not call for us to unify on wrong practices. The God of heaven draws a sharp contrast between pure, elevating, ennobling truth and false, misleading doctrines." 1SM 175.

"The world must not be introduced into the church, and married to the church, forming a bond of unity. Through this means the church will become indeed corrupt, and as stated in Revelation, 'a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. [language Rev. 18:2 uses to define BABYLON]'" Testimonies to Ministers, p. 265.

“Those who have been regarded as worthy and righteous prove to be ring-leaders in apostasy...” (Ellen G. White, Testimonies, vol. 5, p.

Note: Lest we boast, there are recorded warnings and statements regarding a time when our church was not following the truth counsel of God. As late as 1909 Ellen White wrote:

“How is the faithful city become an harlot! My Father’s house is...a place whence the divine presence and glory have departed!” 8T 250

At another time she announced:

“In the balances of the sanctuary the Seventh-day Adventist church is to be weighed. She will be judged by the privileges and advantages that she has had. If her spiritual experience does not correspond to the advantages that Christ, at infinite cost, has bestowed on her...on her will be pronounced the sentence: ‘found wanting.’ By the light bestowed, the opportunities given, will she be judged.” LDE 59

Ron’s comments: I don’t know of any Ellen White statement calling the church a harlot in 1909. Her statement in 8T 250 was made in 1903. And she called the church a harlot three other times as well. https://omega77.tripod.com/harlotstat1.htm

VICTORY IS COMING

No wonder sighing and crying goes on in the hearts of God’s people. They see friends they have loved no longer in unity with the special standards and truths of the original heaven-sent message. But their weeping will be turned into strength. God will bless the meek and lowly faithful members with a holy power. They are scheduled to become the CHURCH TRIUMPHANT:

“I was shown those whom I had before seen weeping and praying in agony of spirit. The company of guardian angels around them had been doubled, and they were clothed with an armor from their head to their feet.” EW 271

“I heard those clothed with the armor speak forth the truth with great power...I asked what had made this great change. An angel answered, ‘It is the latter rain, the refreshing from the presence of the Lord, the loud cry of the third angel.’” EW 271

Ron’s comments: Let’s include another part of the weight of evidence that more fully defines the company who receives the refreshing from the presence of the Lord, the Loud Cry of the third angel:

"The leaven if godliness has not entirely lost its power. At the time when the danger and depression of the church are greatest [the Sunday Law], the little company who are standing in the light will be sighing and crying for the abominations that are done in the land. But MORE ESPECIALLY will their prayers arise in behalf of the church because ITS MEMBERS are doing after the manner of the world." Testimonies, vol. 5, 209, 210.

If the little company were MEMBERS, they would be doing after the manner of the world as well!

"That these men should stand in a sacred place, to be as the voice of God to the people, as we once believed the General Conference to be--that is past".--Last Day Events, 50.4

“As for the voice of the General Conference, there is no voice from God through that body that is reliable.” -Manuscript 57, October 12, 1895 & Manuscript Releases, vol. 17, p 178.

Can we reasonably conclude that the SDA new movement church (1SM 204-205) EVER becomes the church triumphant based on the following statement?

There is more good news than bad; God lets us know the bad so we will not lose heart as these changes take place in our church family. He assures all who are faithful that they will enter Heaven at last, and in the meantime, He also assures them of a wonderful harvest of new members. There will be a change in church membership:

Ron’s comments: Is there really more good news than bad in light of Ellen White prophesy concerning the outcome of the church—that as they refused the conditions, His promises were not fulfilled to them as a people, and that Ezekiel 9 will literally BEGIN at their Sanctuaries around the world?

“In vision I saw two armies in terrible conflict. One army was led by banners bearing the world’s insignia; the other was led by the bloodstained banner of Prince Immanuel. Standard after standard was left to trail in the dust as company after company from the Lord’s army joined the foe and tribe after tribe from the ranks of the enemy united with the commandment-keeping people of God.” 8T 41

Ron’s comments: For decades now the General Conference has instructed Russian SDA parents to send their children to school on Sabbath because school is held six days a week in Russia. So the new movement masquerading as Seventh-day Adventist is not God’s commandment-KEEPING people.

The exciting drama described above takes place as the wheat is actually being separated from some of the chaff. In the sanctuary above, God had previously marked the wheat and chaff according to each person’s response to conflicting principles in the church. Notice:

“I asked the meaning of the shaking (of the church) I had seen, and was shown that it would be caused by the straight testimony called forth by the counsel of the True Witness to the Laodiceans.” EW 270; LDE 175

It seems obvious that the members are already sifted into one group or the other before the Sunday law and its resultant time of trouble begins. Please note the following:

Just BEFORE we entered it (the time of trouble), we all received the seal of the living God. Then I saw the four angels cease to hold the four winds.” 7BC 968

Ron’s comments: This is not a true interpretation of Ellen White’s 7BC 968 statement that all will be sifted into one group or the other before the Sunday law ensues, for Ellen White says that (the Sunday Law) is the great test all must have before they are sealed.

All are not sealed before the Sunday law. The bride (the 144,000) are sealed before then, but all the guests are not sealed at that time. It is that shaken event that will shake many out of Zion, the true SDA church. They must have that TEST before they are sealed. But the bride is ready before then, Christ’s Object Lessons, 405-405. The Ellen White statement above refers to the great time of trouble (in context) when the angels cease holding the four winds. All the saved will be sealed before THEN, because that timeframe will begin the seven last plagues, after which no one will be saved.

Notice that we (the church) are sealed before entering the time of trouble. The brackets are supplied by Ellen White. Her sequence is correct. First the church is sealed, next a time of trouble, third the four winds blow, and then will come the time of Jacob’s trouble, Jacob’s trouble is mentioned in the following quotation.

Ron’s comments: The correct order is:

1. The 144,000 are sealed just before the Sunday Law, Christ’s Object Lessons, 405-406, because they must be ready at that time to awaken all 10 sleeping virgins. The 144,000 are sealed and settled into the truth so that they cannot be moved by the time the Sunday Law is legislated.

2. The 144,000 will have left the new movement so as not to be defiled with women (apostate churches), Rev. 14:1-4.

3. The other people of the church must receive the test of the awakening message of the bride, the 144,000: “Behold the bridegroom cometh, Go ye out to meet Him.” COL, 405-406 and Matthew 25. They will need to give their lives in martyrdom as a testament to their faith for only the 144,000 go through the great time of trouble and are translated without seeing death.

4. The new movement SDA church will instruct its people to keep Sunday sacred. All who follow that apostasy will be lost.

5. Per Ezekiel chapter 5, the SDA new movement church will be made a taught and an instruction before all nations. It will meet with Ezekiel 9 slaughter when the first death penalty is enforced at which time faithful SDA martyrs will occur, but as well many apostate SDA’s will give their lives and lose their salvation because they infuriate Babylon by feigning to keep Sunday sacred thus better positioning themselves to be opportunists when the “crunch” comes, enabling them to better steal Babylon’s sheep because SDA’s will keep Sunday as well. This will justly enrage Babylon after SDA’s have used the Sabbath as one of their platforms for stealing sheep for over 150 years. This act will prove new movement Adventists to be a world class whore in the eyes of the other fallen churches and they will hate her, slaughter and burn her in literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9—just before the final call to the highways—IN THE ORDER OF MATTHEW 22:1-10, which Ellen White reapplies in Sermons and Talks, Vol. 1, pp. 4-9. This coincides with Ezekiel chapters 5 and 9.

6. The final call by the bride is to all formally organized churches, for they all will be doing their own thing (after the manner of the world) at the end-time, Isaiah 4:1, 2 and the following statement by Ellen White, which indicts the new movement SDA church:

“I saw that Jesus would not leave the Most Holy Place, until every case was decided either for salvation or destruction: and that the wrath of God could not come until Jesus had finished his work in the Most Holy Place...I saw that the anger of the nations, the wrath of God, and the time to judge the dead, were separate events, one following the other...when our High Priest had finished His work in the Sanctuary, He will stand up, put on the garments of vengeance, and then the seven last plagues will be poured out. I saw that the four angels would hold the four winds until Jesus’ work was done in the Sanctuary, and then will come the seven last plagues...This was the time of Jacob’s trouble.” RH 8/01/49; EW 36

Ron’s comments: It is obvious from the above statement that the four winds will not be loosened until probation is over, as I said further up in my comments.

In the context of the above statement she is addressing the seven last plagues. Before the seven last plagues fall many dear people will hear the message for the first time. Thousands of them will be converted even in the face of death. No wonder God must have a purified and sealed people to present the loud cry to them. The messengers bearing the last message to the world must be settled in their commitment before they witness to the world. Remember, the Church is judged first before the world; hence the sealing of her members will also come first. The final witnesses will be well settled into the truth before they begin their final awesome work. Are you ready? Time is precious. Make everything right with God now.

Ron’s comments: The SDA apostate church will indeed be judged first with Ezekiel 5 and 9 slaughter and burning.

Praise God for the shaking in the church. It will illuminate the triumphant wheat over the tares, and their light will shine. Ellen White indicates that this is the very time when certain members of the church militant become the church triumphant. The church triumphant will have no tares. Friend, now is the time to make that final commitment by the grace of Christ to overcome all sin. Repent, and forsake all known sin, and commit yourself in full cooperation to “Him who is able to keep you from falling.”

Ron’s comments: There is a great difference between the wheat, tares and the BARLEY BRIDE. Barley was always the firstfruits crop in the Middle East, and the bride of Christ is the Barley bride. This is another way in which the bride, the 144,000, differ from the wheat.

“God has a church upon the earth who are His chosen people, who keep His commandments. He is leading, not stray offshoots, not one here and one there, but a people. The truth is a sanctifying power; but the church militant is not the church triumphant. There are tares among the wheat.” TM 61

“...all our zeal will not be successful in making the church militant as pure as the church triumphant.” RH Sept. 5, 1893; LDE 61; TM 47

Ron’s comments: The new movement apostate SDA church is NOT God’s commandment-KEEPING people. For decades its leaders have told Russian SDA parents to send their children to school on the Holy Sabbath day. As well, they have violated God’s commands in Isaiah 8:9-12, which violation has one option—“broken in pieces.” This connotes unpardonable sin.

The new movement that Satan came in and formed “among” sleeping Seventh-day Adventists, 1SM 204-205, is not even the church militant. Why? Because it has removed God (ibid. p. 205) and Ellen White says that only the presence of Christ can constitute a church. The Upward Look, 131. When God is removed, there is only one other leaders, Satan. So the once SDA church militant is now the Synagogue of Satan, just as Jesus branded the apostate Jewish church.

We will see more of the fact that there will be a pure church and a pure ministry to give the loud cry as we read on. For now, we have already evidenced the fact that the sealing in the church will be advancing at a time when music is conducted in a new manner and changes in our old fashioned principles and beliefs are taking place.

Ron’s comments: The pure SDA church triumphant with a pure ministry to give the Loud Cry is defined in Christ’s Object Lessons, 405-406, as the voice of the bride, the 144,000, who awaken ALL TEN VIRGINS, for they all slumbered and slept, per Matthew 25.

Ellen White told us what the new movement would be doing just before the close of probation. It is too late then to develop character:

"The things you have described as taking place in Indiana, the Lord has shown me would take place just before the close of probation. Every uncouth thing will be demonstrated. There will be shouting, with drums, music, and dancing. The senses of rational beings will become so confused that they cannot be trusted to make right decisions. And this is called the moving of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit never reveals itself in such methods, in such a bedlam of noise. This is an invention of Satan to cover up his ingenious methods for making of none affect the pure, sincere, elevating, ennobling, sanctifying truth for this time. Better never have the worship of God blended with music, than to use musical instruments to do the work which last January was represented to me would be brought into our camp meetings. The truth for this time needs nothing of this kind in its work of converting souls. A bedlam of noise shocks the senses and perverts that which if conducted aright might be a blessing. The powers of satanic agencies blend with the din and noise, to have a carnival, and this is termed the Holy Spirit's working." E. G. White, Selected Messages, Vol. 2, 36.

Today, the primary theme of messages preached for God’s people must be repentance. Repent of every known sin. Repent of every evil thought. Make straight the way of the Lord. Clear the King’s highway!

Ron’s comments: Indeed all must repent, but Ellen White prophesied that “nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement” (1SM 205). She said that the omega of apostasy would wax stronger until Jesus comes. That is why Ezekiel 9 is fulfilled to the letter and BEGINS AT APOSTATE SDA SANCTUARIES AROUND THE WORLD as soon as the first death penalty is sanctioned for Sunday violations.

Wax stronger "One thing it is certain is soon to be realized, the great apostasy, which is developing and increasing and waxing stronger, and will continue to do so until the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout. We are to hold fast the first principles of our denominated faith, and go forward from strength to increased faith. Ever we are to keep the faith that has been substantiated by the Holy Spirit of God from the earlier events of our experience until the present time. We need now larger breadth, and deeper, more earnest, unwavering faith in the leadings of the Holy Spirit. If we needed the manifest proof of the Holy Spirit's power to confirm truth in the beginning, after the passing of the time, we need to-day all the evidence in the confirmation of the truth, when souls are departing from the faith and giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. There must not be any languishing of soul now." (E.G. White, Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 7, p. 57).

We must put on the whole armor of God to resist sin in every way. We are in a war, and if Satan can deceive us into lethargy we lose!

“Some, I saw, did not participate in this work of agonizing and pleading. They seemed indifferent and careless. They were not resisting the darkness around them, and it shut them in like a thick cloud. The angels of God left these and went to the aid of the earnest, praying ones.” EW 270

“The numbers of this company had lessened. Some had been shaken out and left by the way. The careless and indifferent, who did not join with those who prized victory and salvation enough to perseveringly plead and agonize for it, did not obtain it.” EW 271

She continues to say: “...their places were immediately filled by others taking hold of the truth and coming into the ranks. Ibid.

Ron’s comments: At this juncture, it is important to be reminded as to who is shaking from whom. Sinners are shaken out of Zion by Zion, Ezekiel 20:34-38.

It is also timely to be reminded that at the time when the danger and depression to the church is greatest, at the Sunday Law, obviously, the church will be doing after the manner of the world, to wit:

If the angels of God have left these poor members in darkness, and their places are to be filled with other people, you can see why this experience equates with the close of probation for the church militant and the formation of the church triumphant.

Ron’s comments: The once church militant become new movement, will continue after the Sunday law. This is the “once HIS SANCTUARY” where Ezekiel 9 begins:

"The Lord has a controversy with His professed people in these last days. In this controversy men in responsible positions will take a course directly opposite to that pursued by Nehemiah. They will not only ignore and despise the Sabbath themselves, but they will try to keep it from others by burying it beneath the rubbish of custom and tradition. In churches and in large gatherings in the open air, ministers will urge upon the people the necessity of keeping the first day of the week. There are calamities on sea and land: and these calamities will increase, one disaster following close upon another; and the little band of conscientious Sabbath-keepers will be pointed out as the ones who are bringing the wrath of God upon the world by their disregard of Sunday." R & H 3-18-1884.

Just as surely as the wicked among us will lose their angels, the faithful members will have their angels doubled. These two truths give reason for both rejoicing and weeping.

The question is, when certain members of the church militant becomes the church triumphant, and those of us to be sealed are sealed, what then is scheduled to happen to the insincere members who are not sealed at that time? Will they have further opportunity to repent during the loud cry or will their opportunities be over? This may be according to each individual’s circumstance; however, the truth is, for a person to be anything but very sincere with God at this time is careless and risky.

“Then I was shown a company who were howling in agony. On their garments was written in large characters, ‘Thou art weighed in the balance and found wanting.’ I asked who this company were. The angel said, ‘These are they who have once kept the Sabbath and have given it up.’ I heard them cry with a loud voice, ‘We have believed in Thy coming and taught it with energy.’”

Ron’s comments: The company that will be howling in agony because they are weighed in the balance and found wanting, are those who once kept the Sabbath and gave it up either before the apostate SDA church instructed them to keep Sunday sacred, or at that time.

The hardest thing that the lost Seventh-day Adventists will have to bear if the fact that they failed when their witness was needed most. They could have worked with the holy angels, and they could have helped during the loud cry, but they didn’t. Dear reader, the signs of the times are ominous for the church. There is precious little time left to learn the issues, review the pillars, repent of every known sin, and live in loyalty before your Maker. The Son of Man alone has made it possible for you to have a clean heart within you. Ask Him to cleanse it now with no reservations of your own. Yield every impure thought with repentance and every transgression with sincerity.

Ron’s comments: There is indeed precious little time to learn the issues, and the writer of the document I am critiquing has not learned all of the serious issues. He has but a surface knowledge such as many SDA’s possess.

“But I speak not my own words when I say it (God’s Spirit) will pass by those who have had their test and opportunity and have not distinguished the voice of God or appreciated the movings of His Spirit. There will be thousands converted to the truth in a day, who at the eleventh hour will see and acknowledge the truth.” EGW 1888 Materials p. 754

Truly the places of those who have not returned to the old ways in repentance will be replaced by a new and grateful people who will take hold of the truth and come into the ranks. Are you ready to accept them?

Ron’s comments: Any mention by Ellen White of those who join the ranks of the faithful must refer to the ranks of Zion, the 144,000, the bride of Christ, the church triumphant, and not any church militant that has supposedly been purged and cleansed, for that will never happen.

God has been kind in providing plenty of signs to let us know when time will be running out on our opportunities to belong to the church triumphant. The more thoughtful members are storing ‘oil’ to help light their way through earth’s darkest hours. The promise is that their lamps will not go out and that their light will shine. Praise the Lord!

Our study has shown that there will be faithful brethren right up to the very end of this world; but it has also shown that there will be those who can no longer be called brethren. They can only be called “former” brethren. Plan now not to be classified as a “former” brother or sister. Do not allow yourself to have your beliefs diluted only to find yourself sifted out of the structured church to become a former member. Ellen White describes this class in GC 608.

Ron’s comments: Ellen White warned us that the “structured church” WOULD FALL, by failing to comply to the conditions. She has warned us that the apostate new movement “structured church” is where Ezekiel 9 slaughter of men, maidens and little children will begin. God has done the same in Ezekiel chapters 1-22.

Ellen White warned us that no denominational name

"We ARE NOT saved as a sect; no denominational name has any virtue to bring us into favor with God. We are saved individually as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ." E.G. White, Review and Herald Articles, vol. 2, p. 464.

We are not saved as a denomination because the denomination is going to experience Ezekiel 9 slaughter and burning. We are saved individually by entering the Most Holy Place NOW by faith (EW 251) and by becoming a member of the heavenly Sion (Zion), Heb. 12:22, 23. That is the church of the true reformers who are written in heaven:

"Characteristics of True Reformers.--Here are given the characteristics of those who shall be reformers, who will bear the banner of the third angel's message, those who avow themselves God's commandment-keeping people, and who honor God, and are earnestly engaged, in the sight of all the universe, in building up the old waste places. Who is it that calls them, The repairers of the breach, The restorers of paths to dwell in? It is God. Their names are registered [written--Heb. 12:22, 23] in heaven as reformers, restorers, as raising the foundations of many generations." E. G. White, SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 4, 1151.

God calls the true reformers, Zion, His bride, first, and then she awakens the 10 virgins, Christ’s Object Lessons, 405-406.

It is no argument against the truth that there are few who are willing to accept it. Few accepted the world's Redeemer. Though the multitude flocked around him, eager to receive temporal blessings, yet he sadly declared: "Ye will not come to me that ye might have life." Men are now no more favorable to practical godliness; they are just as intently seeking earthly good, to the neglect of eternal riches. And reformers of the present day will meet with the same discouragements as did their Master. {ST, January 28, 1886 par. 3}

Indifference and Neutrality in a Crisis: "If God abhors one sin above another, of which HIS PEOPLE are guilty, it is of doing nothing in a case of emergency. Indifference or neutrality in a religious crisis is regarded of God as a grievous crime and equal to the very worst type of hostility against God." E.G. White, Review and Herald, vol. 1, p. 136. Also, Testimonies, Vol. 3, p. 281.

Sealing -- "Just as soon as the people of God are sealed in their foreheads--it is not any seal or mark that can be seen, but a settling into the truth, both intellectually and spiritually, so they cannot be moved--just as soon as God's people are sealed and prepared for the shaking, it will come. Indeed it has BEGUN ALREADY...." E.G. White, SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 4, pp. 1161. cf. the following statement:

Ellen White’s mention of a holier people -- God's Measurement of Those Who Walk in the Light They Have.--The Lord will give His message to those who have walked in accordance with the light they have had, and will recognize them as true and faithful, according to the measurement of God. These men will take the place of those who, having light and knowledge, have walked not in the way of the Lord, but in the imagination of their own unsanctified hearts. {3SM 422.1}

“As the storm approaches, a large class who have professed faith in the third angel’s message, but have not been sanctified through obedience to the truth, abandon their position, and join the ranks of the opposition. By uniting with the world and partaking of its spirit, they have come to view matters in nearly the same light; and when the test is brought, they are prepared to choose the easy, popular side. Men of talent and pleasing address, who once rejoiced in the truth, employ their powers to deceive and mislead souls. They become the most bitter enemies of their former brethren.” GC88 608; FLB 336

Ron’s comments: The large class who have professed faith in the third angel’s message but who unite with the world, is the new movement which has already done exactly that, and will be doing after the manner of the world when its danger and depression are greatest. The church has already united with the world by uniting with the fallen churches ecumenically, when Ellen White says that those churches cannot be distinguished from the world, Early Writings, 273.

It is encouraging to note that even “former” brethren who drop completely out can be accepted back into fellowship under proper circumstances:

“After the meeting had been two or three days in progress, one who had been a member of the church, but who left it about two years ago, because of his opposition to the Testimonies, arose and said that he desired to take his stand again with the church... He wished to be baptized again, and to be received as a brother by his former brethren and sisters. Many hearts rejoiced greatly that this brother was restored to the church.” Bible Echo 6/1/93; RH 6/6/1893

Ron’s comments: It is possible for backsliders to be restored. But those who have known the truth and who then knowingly joined any new movement that was in liaison with Babylon, as new movement Adventism is, will find it impossible to get back on the pathway to heaven, Isaiah 8:9-12, Jeremiah 11:9-15 and the following statement.

"While praying at the family altar, the Holy Ghost fell on me, and I seemed to be rising higher and higher, far above the dark world. I turned to look for the Advent people in the world, but could not find them--when a voice said to me, 'Look again, and look a little higher.' At this I raised my eyes and saw a straight and narrow path cast up high above the world. On this path the Advent people were traveling to the City, which was at the farther end of the path. They had a bright light set up behind them at the first end of the path, which an angel told me was the Midnight Cry. This light shone all along the path, and gave light for their feet so they might not stumble. And if they kept their eyes fixed on Jesus, who was just before them, leading them to the City, they were safe. But soon some grew weary, and they said the City was a great way of, and they expected to have entered it before. Then Jesus would encourage them by raising his glorious right arm, and from his arm came a glorious light which waved over the Advent band, and they shouted Hallelujah! Others rashly denied the light behind them, and said that it was not God that had led them out so far. The light behind them went out leaving their feet in perfect darkness, and they stumbled and got their eyes off the mark and lost sight of Jesus, and fell off the path down in the dark and wicked world below. It was just as impossible for them to get on the path again and go to the City, as all the wicked world which God had rejected. They fell all the way along the path one after another, until we heard the voice of God like many waters, which gave us the day and hour of Jesus' coming....

By this time the 144,000 were all sealed and perfectly united. On their foreheads was written, God, New Jerusalem, and a glorious Star containing Jesus' new name." E.G. White, Word to the Little Flock, p. 14.

The word “former” lets us know his status was that of a nonmember of the organized visible SDA church.

FAITHFUL VERSUS UNFAITHFUL “BRETHREN”

As the loud cry of the third angel is sounding, there will be four classes of Adventists. First, the faithful that will remain within our SDA structure; second, those unfaithful “former” stewards who will be sifted out of the SDA structure; third, the unfaithful members who will remain in the church structure to the very end. We are strongly warned about these “brethren” (not former brethren) that may make life difficult for faithful believers until probation finally closes on the entire world; and fourth, the faithful and true members who will be cast out from the SDA structure.

The next few pages will concentrate on the last two of the above groups. First, the study will focus on those wicked ones who will be in the structure; these are not “former” brethren, but will be still considered “brethren” until the close of probation on the world.

Ron’s comments: It is not a right interpretation to say: “The word “former” lets us know his status was that of a nonmember of the organized visible SDA church.”

Were it true that the faithful remain in the structure, that would mean that something will be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement that controls the structure now. Ellen White said that nothing will be allowed to stand in its way. 1SM 204-205.

Also, if all were shaken out of that church, there would be no once JERUSALEM Sanctuary for Ezekiel 9 to BEGIN at. As well, that is not how things occurred in the prefigure type of the first literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, A.D. 27-70.

God’s Word says that the remnant will go forth out of Jerusalem, Isaiah 37:31, 32. That is precisely what occurred in the last Ezekiel 9 literal fulfillment so that is precisely what must occur in the next literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 or it would not be literal and/or fulfilled to the letter, the very words of Ellen White.

It will be demonstrated that Ellen White harmonizes with our Savior who declared that the wheat and tares will grow together until the harvest. At that time the angels will gather the wheat into the garner, and the wicked will be left in bundles to be burned.

Ron’s comments:

These are sobering words from the Desire of Ages chapter "The Crisis in Galilee": Page 392

" 'Whose fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly purge His floor, and gather His wheat into the garner.' Matt. 3:12

This was one of the times of purging. By the words of truth, the chaff was being separated from the wheat. Because they were too vain and self-righteous to receive reproof, too world-loving to accept a life of humility, many turned away from Jesus. Many are still doing the same thing. Souls are tested today as were those disciples in the synagogue at Capernaum. When truth is brought home to the heart, they see the need of an entire change in themselves; but they are not willing to take up the self-denying work. Therefore they are angry when their sins are discovered. They go away offended, even as the disciples left Jesus, murmuring, 'This is an hard saying' who can hear it?'

Praise and flattery would be pleasing to their ears; but the truth is unwelcome; they cannot hear it. When the crowds follow, and the multitudes are fed, and the shouts of triumph are heard, their voices are loud in praise; but when the searching of God's Spirit reveals their sin, and bids them leave it, they turn their backs upon the truth, and walk no more with Jesus."

These words help destroy the idea that SDA's feel you have to stay with the church to the end, as they believe only at the end the wheat will be separated from the tares! Fact is, in every succeeding generation there has been a separation from ecclesiastical leaders who would not tolerate light. Desire of Ages, 232. But new movement SDA’s choose to omit this serious factual part of the weight of evidence, to their own damnation. If we were to dwell with the tares until the end and apostates are mere tares, there should have been no Reformation; Adventists should not have left the other fallen churches in 1844. Jesus should not have “gathered out” those who would take the gospel to the world, and the disciples should not have gathered out the faithful Christians into home churches.

It is this unfaithful group, the ones still referred to as our false “brethren,” that we will address here.

“When the law of God is made void, and the church is sifted by the fiery trials that are to try all that live upon the earth, a great proportion of those who are supposed to be genuine will give heed to seducing spirits, and will turn traitors and betray sacred trusts. T hey will prove out very worst persecutors. ‘Of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them;’ and many will give heed to seducing spirits. Those who apostatize in time of trial will bear false witness and betray their brethren, to secure their own safety. They will tell where their brethren are concealed, putting the wolves on their track. Christ has warned us of this, that we may not be surprised at the cruel, unnatural course pursued by friends and relatives. We shall find that we must let loose of all hands except the hand of Jesus Christ.” Maranatha p. 197

Ron’s comments: This has already occurred in Russia, where True Reformer SDA’s would not send their children to school on Sabbath, when the SDA General Conference said to do so. So the church betrayed some of those reformers to the Russian officials.

Why? Because men “of your own selves” will rise up against you! They will betray you to secure their own safety. This is not talking about outside, disfellowshipped, or dropped-out “former brethren.” It is talking about “brethren.” Yes, brethren among your own selves.

Ron’s comments: Yes indeed, the nominal new movement Adventists will betray you to the officials when they instruct their members to keep Sunday sacred. No people could get any more nominal than imposter leaders of the apostate new movement posturing as the Seventh-day Adventist church:

"I saw the nominal church and nominal Adventists, like Judas, would betray us to the Catholics to obtain their influence to come against the truth. The saints then will be an obscure [hidden] people, little known to the Catholics but the churches and nominal Adventists who know of our faith and customs (for they hate us on account of the Sabbath, for they could not refute it) will betray the saints and report them to the Catholics as those who disregard the institutions of the people that is, that they keep the Sabbath and disregard Sunday.

Then the Catholics bid the Protestants to go forward, and issue a decree that all who will not observe the first day of the week, instead of the seventh day, shall be slain. And the Catholics, whose numbers are large, will stand by the Protestants. The Catholics will give their power to the image of the beast. And the Protestants will work as their mother worked before them to destroy the saints. But before their decree bring or bear fruit, the saints will be delivered by the Voice of God. Then I saw that Jesus' work in the sanctuary will soon be finished. And after His work there is finished, He will come to the door of the first apartment, and confess the sins of Israel upon the head of the Scape Goat. Then He will put on the garments of vengeance. Then the plagues will come upon the wicked, and they do not come till Jesus puts on that garment, and takes Hs place upon the great white cloud. Then while the plagues are falling, the Scape Goat is being led away. He makes a mighty struggle to escape, but he is held fast by the hand that leads him. If he should effect his escape, Israel would lose their lives. I saw that it would take time to lead away the Scape Goat into the land of forgetfulness after the sins were put on his head.

The great white cloud I saw was not the holy place, but entirely separate from the holy and most holy place, entirely separate from the sanctuary.

Then the angel repeated these words, and said, 'This is the time spoken of in Isaiah. He saw that there was not man, and wondered that there was no intercessor. He had no mediator between God and man, and these plagues could be withheld no longer, for Jesus had ceased to plead for Israel, and they were covered with the covering of the Almighty God, and they could live in the sight of a holy God, and those who were not covered, the plagues fell upon them, for they had nothing to shelter or protect them from the wrath of God." E.G. White, Dorchester, Maine, October 23, 1850, Spalding--Magan's Unpublished Mss. Testimonies, pp. 1, 2.

Note by Ron: Clearly, the nominal Adventists will not be keeping the Sabbath, because they hate the saints on account of the Sabbath. Notice that Ellen White says there will be “nominal Adventists,” AT THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE TIME OF TROUBLE:

“I saw that God had children who do not see and keep the Sabbath. They have not rejected the light upon it. And at the commencement of the time of trouble, we were filled with the Holy Ghost as we went forth and proclaimed the Sabbath more fully. This enraged the churches and nominal Adventist, as they could not refute the Sabbath truth.” Early Writings, p. 33.

“I saw some becoming weary; their eyes were directed downward, and they were engrossed with earthly things, and were unfaithful in watching. They were saying: ‘In the first watch we expected our Master, but were disappointed. We thought surely He would come in the second watch, but that passed, and He came not. We may be again disappointed. We need not be so particular. He may not come in the following watch. We are in the third watch, and now we think it best to lay up our treasure on the earth, that we may be secure against want.’ Many were sleeping, stupefied with the cares of this life and allured by the deceitfulness of riches from their waiting, watching position. Angels were represented to me as looking on with intense interest to mark the appearance of the weary yet faithful watchers, lest they be too sorely tried, and sink under the toil and hardships made doubly severe because their brethren had been diverted from their watch, and become drunk with worldly cares and beguiled by worldly prosperity. These heavenly angels grieved that those who were once watching should, by their indolence and unfaithfulness, increase the trial and burdens of those who were earnestly and perseveringly endeavouring to maintain their waiting, watching position.” 2T 192,193

In 1SM 122 we are told that we have more to fear from within the church than from without. It appears false brethren in the church will become more intense in promoting their false belief systems.

As the close of probation on the world approaches there will still be this group of false brethren within the structured church. The next quotes show some of them still in leadership positions and determined to remove our landmarks. What does Ellen White tell us about them?

“After the truth has been proclaimed as a witness to all nations, every conceivable power of evil will be set in operation, and minds will be confused by many voices crying, ‘Lo, here is Christ; lo, He is there. This is the truth, I have a message from God, He has sent me with great light.’ Then there will be removing of the landmarks, and an attempt to tear down the pillars of our faith. A more decided effort will be made to exalt the false Sabbath...” 7BC 985; 3SM 406; Mar. 192

Ron’s comments: Truly “....false brethren within the structured church, determined...” and DID remove some important landmarks and pillar doctrines on the human nature of Christ, the Atonement, and the Godhead, to teach antichrist doctrine on these pillar doctrines. But the false accusers of the true brethren are not concerned by these apostasies in the least. They spend all their time attacking the true reformers. Noting new under the sun!

A removing of the landmarks of our faith can only be done from the inside. Near the close of probation on the world certain members will be opposing our landmarks and pillars and even exalting Sunday. Notice:

“The Lord has a controversy with his professed people in these last days. In this controversy men in responsible positions will take a course directly opposite to that pursued by Nehemiah. They will not only ignore and despise the Sabbath themselves, but they will try to keep it from others by burying it beneath the rubbish of custom and tradition. In churches and in large gatherings in the open air, ministers will urge upon the people the necessity of keeping the first day of the week.” RH March 18, 1884

“The warning here given as to what the disciples would have to meet at the hands of their fellow men is a warning to us also. ‘Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted,’ Christ said, ‘and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for My name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.’ These words will be fulfilled.” RH April 19, 1898

The entire context of the above statement involves men within our church. They will try to bury truth after truth beneath the historical trash heap of false and popular traditions. But all the while, God will be using another group of individuals in the church that He can trust.

“Our Leader has all power in heaven and earth. He will use men as agents for the accomplishment of his purposes whom some of the brethren would reject as unfit to engage in the work. Heavenly intelligences are combined with human instrumentalities in carrying forward the Lord’s work. Angels have their places assigned them in connection with the human agents on earth. They will work through every person who will submit himself to labor in Heaven’s ways; therefore, not one human being should be cast aside or left with no part to act.” RH 7/9/1895

Ron’s comments: Finally, some truth on the negative side: “The entire context of the above statement involves men within our church.”

I fully believe that there are and will be men in the church whom God uses to teach a lot of truth, BUT NOT ALL OF THE TRUTH regarding the abominations for which we are to sigh and cry. For if such men and women taught ALL the truth, they would call folk out of an apostate church that has removed God, and aligned the church in liaison with Babylon’s associations, counsels/councils, girdings and/or conspiratorial confederacies. There is hope for all who do not KNOW that fact, but those who do know it and will not speak out against it and leave the new movement church that is in ecumenical violation of the three angel’s messages and the Midnight Cry, and that has made secret agreement to tone down the teaching of the Sabbath, will find it impossible to get back on the pathway to heaven:

"While praying at the family altar, the Holy Ghost fell on me, and I seemed to be rising higher and higher, far above the dark world. I turned to look for the Advent people in the world, but could not find them--when a voice said to me, 'Look again, and look a little higher.' At this I raised my eyes and saw a straight and narrow path cast up high above the world. On this path the Advent people were traveling to the City, which was at the farther end of the path. They had a bright light set up behind them at the first end of the path, which an angel told me was the Midnight Cry. This light shone all along the path, and gave light for their feet so they might not stumble. And if they kept their eyes fixed on Jesus, who was just before them, leading them to the City, they were safe. But soon some grew weary, and they said the City was a great way of, and they expected to have entered it before. Then Jesus would encourage them by raising his glorious right arm, and from his arm came a glorious light which waved over the Advent band, and they shouted Hallelujah! Others rashly denied the light behind them [three angels messages and the Midnight Cry], and said that it was not God that had led them out so far. The light behind them went out leaving their feet in perfect darkness, and they stumbled and got their eyes off the mark and lost sight of Jesus, and fell off the path down in the dark and wicked world below. It was just as impossible for them to get on the path again and go to the City, as all the wicked world which God had rejected. They fell all the way along the path one after another, until we heard the voice of God like many waters, which gave us the day and hour of Jesus' coming....

All of these things God tells us ahead of time that we might not be discouraged and to let us know that the end is near. As the hymn goes, “We are nearing home.”

SOME INNOCENT MEMBERS DISFELLOWSHIPPED

There is yet an altogether different group developing. In this fourth group are faithful Seventh-day Adventists that will not be tolerated in some of our visible SDA structures.

“The trials of the children of Israel, and their attitude just before the first coming of Christ, have been presented before me again and again to illustrate the position of the people of God in their experience before the second coming of Christ.” 1SM 406

“These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble. They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whosoever kills you will think that he offers God a service. And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me.” John 16:1-32 NKJV.

“Among many of the professing followers of Christ there is the same pride, formalism, and selfishness, the same spirit of oppression, that held so large a place in the Jewish heart. In the future, men claiming to be Christ’s representatives will take a course similar to that followed by the priests and rulers in their treatment of Christ and the apostles. In the great crises through which they are soon to pass, the faithful servants of God will encounter the same hardness of heart, the same cruel determination, the same unyielding hatred.” AA 431

“Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at His word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for My name’s sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but He shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.” Isaiah 66:5

In the courts of heaven a record is taken of every deed that is done against His sheep. Nothing misses His all seeing eye.

“Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my name sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.” Matthew 5:11,12

Ron’s comments: The intended inference is that we can unite with the corrupt apostates and become/remain pure and that the wheat can ripen amongst the corrupt. Is that true? That is too important a question for me to answer, so I will refer it to God and Ellen White’s counsel:

"It is IMPOSSIBLE for you to unite with those who are corrupt, and still remain pure. (II Corinthians 6:14-15 quoted). God and Christ and the heavenly host would have men know that if he unites with the corrupt he will become corrupt." E. G. White, Review and Herald, Vol. 4, p. 137.

Can the Wheat mature amongst the corrupt?

"Thorns sprung up.--The thorns made it impossible for the wheat to mature (see Luke 8:14). In the same way secular interests prevent the fruits of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22, 23) from reaching maturity. Religion is relegated to the subordinate position of being only one interest among many. For lack of cultivation it withers and eventually dies. That which the thorny-ground hearers lack is a moral transformation. To them, justification is the sum and substance of religion, and they fail to realize that the Christian life consists essentially in the process known as sanctification--the process by which evil traits and tendencies are replaced by the perfect life-pattern of Jesus Christ." Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary, vol. 5, 405.

Separation from the corrupt

“From the instruction given us in the Old and New Testaments God desires us to learn that we are not to place ourselves, and those connected with us, in intimate connection with [those] who are corrupt in thought, word, and action. If workers of limited experience are placed in close connection with this class, there is danger that they will by beholding become changed into the same image, that the standard of holiness and truth will be lowered. There is danger that corruption will cease to appear in its vileness to those who are trying to bring about a reform, and that the truth will become confused with that which is common and low. . . .” {CTr 49.2}

The intended inference is that it is okay if you are thrown out of the Synagogue of Satan, but you had better not leave! But let’s look to the example of Jesus, the disciples and Paul in the prefigure (type per GC p. 25) of Ezekiel 9 from A.D. 27-70. What did they do in that literal time of fulfillment of Ezekiel 9?

Leave them "If God has any new light to communicate, He will let His chosen and beloved understand it, without their going to have their minds enlightened by hearing those who are in darkness and error. {EW 124.2}

“I was shown the necessity of those who believe that we are having the last message of mercy, being separate from those who are daily imbibing new errors. I saw that neither young nor old should attend their meetings; for it is wrong to thus encourage them while they teach error that is a deadly poison to the soul and teach for doctrines the commandments of men. The influence of such gatherings is not good. If God has delivered us from such darkness and error, we should stand fast in the liberty wherewith He has set us free and rejoice in the truth. God is displeased with us when we go to listen to error, without being obliged to go; for unless He sends us to those meetings where error is forced home to the people by the power of the will, He will not keep us. The angels cease their watchful care over us, and we are left to the buffetings of the enemy, to be darkened and weakened by him and the power of his evil angels; and the light around us becomes contaminated with the darkness. {EW 124.3}

I saw that we have no time to throw away in listening to fables. Our minds should not be thus diverted, but should be occupied with the present truth,..." EW p. 125.

"Even though you may not be able to speak a word to those who are working on wrong principles, leave them. Your withdrawal and silence may do more than words. Nehemiah refused to associate with those who were untrue to principle, and he would not permit his workmen to associate with them. The love and fear of God were his safeguard-Dare to be a Daniel, Dare to stand alone. Thus as did Moses, you will endure the seeing of Him who is invisible. But a cowardly and silent reserve before evil associates, while you listen to their devices makes you one with them Come out from among them and be separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." I am aware that some believe they can prove God wrong and mature as wheat or even as the bride, the 144,000, among the corrupt. But God says it is impossible. Who do you believe?
